People complaining their skinzun is pregnant with new skittens again and it's like gurl 🙄 he's a skinzun. He's supposed to be fat and pregnant. Like yes, you have a skinjiu, and they usually lack the same intrinsic motherly instinct, but like, bruh, I guarantee He's also ovulating and going out at night when you're not looking. He's just eating the babies before you see them.

It's like a thing. And no it's not immoral. Skinjius will give birth to nonsentient balls of meat 9/10 and then eat them back for nutrition. It sounds more gross than it is.

Just let your skinzun be fat and ready to pop a new litter ok. Stop judging. It's literally healthy for them.

And if you're going to be one of those guys whose like but I didn't even get to keep the skinhe! He was gone hours after being born. Did you know that when snakes are about to shed their eyes get all cloudy and often take on a blueish tint? That's why snakes about to shed are called "in blue"!

It's best not to handle them during this time, as not only is it often scary to be unexpectedly picked up, they can't see what's going on or where they are. They also need that energy to take on the task of shedding, which is a lot of work!

One way some snarents help make this time less scary is through regularly talking to their snakes while raising them and building a positive association- that way, even though their snake is partially blind for a few days they can hear their caretaker's voice and can feel safe knowing that big shadow isn't a scary predator - they recognize the voice of their protector! <3

i found out i am not suitable to parent fish, my heart can’t deal with how short of a moment in time we have with them. my little man passed away from old age today, i am in shambles.

here is a doodle of him because all of the recent photos make me sad. i knew it was coming when the lethargy set in and feeding time wasn’t as exciting as it used to be, but nothing can ever really prepare you for the loss of a pet.

everyone say “swim in peace, meatball!!!” he’s probably in fish hell because he was an utter bastard, but he was my bastard, and i miss him dearly.

First art of 2024 and I felt so inspired by my Ikea meatballs I had to remember the day 🙈

Me and my partner started the new year off going to IKEA to buy some bits and bobs, and of course we had to go to cafe 🤤

In the evening we watched the original Jurassic Park as I hadn’t ever watched it before and loved it. Since then we’ve been on a marathon and finished all the films~ Now we’re watching Camp Cretaceous after we were introduced to it by a friend and we’re hooked (I’m more hooked then him). I definitely wanna doodle more dinos this year and see how I can cutesyfy them 💖
