if i was an artist with budget i'd be able to draw the buildup and all. i am not an artist with budget tho. so 3 panels will do
Kinda suggestive/nsfw tags btw go there with caution

#perceptive little crow#fettered paintbrushes#never thought i'd be able to make a kiss scene this good. it's not spectacular but yesssssssss it's exactly what i wanted#anyhow i'll die and go to hell#depending on how im feeling I'd give you two answers over how this went down#the first one is that peka just was struggling for his life to get the knot done (he's doing a hard one) so he went#'ok maybe if i make out with her I'll be able to hide the fact i can't do this at all'#the second one is that. man. tying someone's tie? having your hands close to their body in an attempt to do something for them?#SPECIALLY what might as well be the love of your life? the one person that you just can't stop looking up to?#man that's hot as fuck#snd he felt it#of course he couldn't describe it (nor that he knows the words anyways) but he felt it deep down#the way im wording this kinda seems like this would've been their first time. like both kissing/making out and#hell maybe even having sex together#which honestly? kinds fits#i guess one of the things about their relationship is the restrain they have#i don't even know why it'd happen yet. i just feel like they wouldn't really like...allow themselves to be intimate. at all#maybe some hugs here and there but never something actually like. deeper#it's just kind of a fun scenario if the bubble finally broke in such an innocuous moment#only because one of the parties felt a little bit more aroused than usual. and decided to act upon it#i guess that'd make it the more painful once they separate bc they literally wouldn't have time to enjoy each other anymore#anyways thoughts thoughts#sorry for being insane over teorija with a suit i think a sleeper agent just activated on me#anywayssss

post-war fred w. x reader
Description: I'd like to order a fem reader x fred weasley scenario. A very cute and funny scenario involving the harry potter next generation (of harry's sons, you know) where fred and reader have triplets who have fred's chaotic personality at school, and they end up getting called in hogwarts because of the pranks. (A thousand apologies if the text is confusing, English is not my native language.
Names for the kids (Sorry if you don't like them lmao): 2 boys 1 girl- [ Fabian, George, and Seren]
w.c: 700+
For: @strqlau
---
It was an early spring morning when an owl tapped on your kitchen window carrying a letter that bared the Hogwarts crest. You merely sighed in resignation, already knowing by the annoyed look on the owl that this was regarding your children and something they did.
You opened the window and took the letter, beckoning the barn owl to come in for a much needed break. He hooted appreciatively and began pecking at the toast that lay on the counter.
It was only ten in the morning, what could they have possibly done in the past hour that you and Fred would have to put your day on hold to go down there.
You opened the letter and your eyes widened with every word, " Fred!" you called up the stairs. Your husband trotted down while trying to fix his eccentric tie, he had planned to go into the shop at 11 but by your tone he knew it would be much later.
" What the hell is it now?"
---
" It seems they all spread out and put some kind of hexed soap in every toilet in the school, and then flushed simultaneously," said Neville as they trudged through halls filled to the brim with suds and bubbles. You grimaced at your soggy pant leg, Fleur complained about her shoes being ruined , Angelina just looked pissed off and annoyed, and Ginny continued to talk about what she was going to do to James once she got her hands on him.
While Bill, Harry, George and Fred were all trying to repress a smile.
Finally you all arrived at McGonagall's office and waited for Neville to say the password. The staircase soon appeared before you all and you were soon met with the guilty faces of your children.
There were seven of them, all fourteen and in their fourth year. Dominique, James, Roxanne, Fred, George, Fabian, and Seren. Fleur pursed her lips and begin chewing Dominique in French. Ginny grilled James about how she had a life and she was tired of coming up here and threatening his life. Angelina had her arms crossed and said she was going to make sure they were running extra drills before and after practice.
You looked at your three and they held their breath, waiting for you to shout or give them some sort of punishment, but it never came.
You opened your mouth to give them a talking to before McGonagall arrived but you couldn't. The laugh you had been fighting since you saw old Filch looking for the ancient Mrs. Norris in the bubbles only to trip over her instead broke free from you. You doubled over laughing and the room came to a halt. Everyone looked at you in bewilderment but you couldn't help it.
Yes it was a mess but it was all in good fun, it made everyone's time at Hogwarts a little more special. These were the stories they would tell their kids. These moments was what you loved about Hogwarts.
" Ok," you gasped, " Sorry, I was thinking about Filch tripping over Mrs. Norris,"
The adults looked at one another, " Oh thank God I'm not the only one who almost fell out then and there, " said Angelina.
That was all it took for the rest of the adults to begin laughing.
The kids looked at each other in awkward relief and fear, they too began laughing. It was a light moment until everyone collected themselves upon hearing the staircase open and McGonagall on her way up.
You wiped your eyes and kissed your children on the tops of their heads, " You're still dead," you said sweetly.
---
You and Fred got home about two hours later and flopped down on your bed, the day pretty much already over with. You looked at one another and giggled at the events of today.
You interlocked your hands with his, " They're your kids," he said.
" Oh shut up!" you laughed, " You're the one who cursed this world with those three, they're bloody exhausting,"
Fred shrugged slightly, " Good thing they have you to keep them somewhat straight," he said before pressing his forehead to yours, " But also give them the mind to have fun and make it fun for others,"
You grinned and moved closer, " I guess you and I are pretty hilarious, it's in our genetic code, " you murmured.
He smiled before pressing a kiss to your lips, " Damn straight, (y/l/n)."

Noticing the “Open” sign on your shop, I mosey in to talk.
- Favourite act of Three Adventurers?
- The secrets to bear in mind when mapping out a comic page?
- Creativity is most fun when ________.
- Share a behind the scenes moment from your art/writing. (I blank out if asked questions like this, but maybe one will come to mind while answering another question?)
- If you were a fan creating a favourite quotes page from your works, what would be some of the quotes you’d collect?
-How far can Link’s ears toggle? What is the range of those things?
(Pick and choose any of the above!)
1 - Favourite act of Three Adventurers? Ooooh... hmm, I feel like it'll change as I go further down the line, but so far it's a tie between acts 5 and 7. Five because it forced me to get creative with how to distinguish the boys when they're one person (and I'm sorry, but I love Effie so much and I miss her as well as Giggle). Seven because I really did try to do better with pacing, I got to explore more with Guybrush within 3adv, how all of ya'll reacted towards Mako (and me clapping my hands like a seal with each week), and because I FINALLY got to do the cool action shot I've been dying to do since I started 3adv- which was Graham shooting the ice arrow as he's shot out of the water.
2 - The secrets to bear in mind when mapping out a comic page? DO. NOT. CLUTTER. LESS IS MORE. I have to scream that at myself and then go "Can this panel, if it's not working for the page, be pushed to the next page? Does it add anything? Can it be scrapped? Can a different panel be scrapped or even merged?" and go from there. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but I try to make my panels cohesive and not a jumble of too many panels. Also reeeeeeeally helps to have the speech bubbles easy to follow and lead the eye. I read it somewhere once and it kinda lived in my head ever since.
3 - Creativity is most fun when ________. When you do it for yourself. I know it's more appealing and even rewarding when others respond or give feedback (I'd be a liar if I didn't admit of being guilty of wanting it), but it's super important and critical and even liberating when you create things for yourself first. I read somewhere, I think it was Alex Hirsch or Rebecca Sugar (or both and I'm combining the two) how when they made their shows, they did it as a something that they wanted to see and refused to budge for the fans, so I take that to heart when I make things. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, it might even anger or frustrate or have them throw a fit how it's not what they want... but when I'm making things for myself, it becomes way more fun and I don't feel so pressured. I even might surprise myself with what I'm able to pull off and that, as a creator, is so much fun.
4 - Share a behind the scenes moment from your art/writing. I have too many, ha ha. But one in particular was how I recently broke out of a writer's block of sorts of Act 8 of 3adv. Mainly I was on my way to work and honestly it was just.... a very ridiculous Looney Tunes-esqe kind of scenario with Guybrush that made me burst out loud in the car that I had to share with my sister (she is the only one that knows the entire spoiler for all of 3adv and tragically the one I bombard for feedback) and she, bless her so much, slam-dunked with an even dumber idea that made us both laugh super hard and things began to click so perfectly that I got to writing again after um... actively avoiding it. So when the act drops, and you see a joke that seems almost TOO cartoonish.... I apologize in advance.
5 - If you were a fan creating a favourite quotes page from your works, what would be some of the quotes you’d collect? You're really making me go through my works aren't ya? Ha ha, lets see.... off the top of my head that is posted and not, y'know, a WIP. From Act 7: The pirate’s jaw tightened slightly before he gave a smile that dripped with venomous resentment. “I did, actually. In fact, I’d say I thought it rather well considering you were more focused on beating me up both physically AND emotionally! Wow, who’d a thought a simple pirate such as myself could do such a thing!” From Perspective: Number Two slammed the final nail in the coffin as Number One bursted out laughing, unable to contain himself. Did that boy really bring that in and thought it was a ticket? Who was the trickster that convinced him it was one?! The other guards laughed alongside him, but he simply had to leave the Theater out of fear that he would appear to be more unprofessional than he already was, laughing the whole way out.
From This Can Be Explained: “Okay, so don’t freak out–”
“Guybrush, there’s a dead body on the floor! How can I not freak out?!” Link shouted. From Sea of Adventurers: “Although… you two made it very clear that the seas doesn’t run in your veins.”
“How so?” Graham asked, sounding somewhat insulted, even though it was the truth.
“You two screamed the entire journey from where you initially washed up to this town when you witnessed the kraken and sharks.” The Pirate Lord explained. “You also crashed your ship repeatedly into the deck, anchored in the wrong place and at one point managed to set it on fire.”
There are more quote that I'm blanking out on... but I am curious what ya'lls favorite quotes are.
6 - How far can Link’s ears toggle? What is the range of those things? Pretty expressive! But mostly it goes up and down, not back and forward. I think I showed its range?
But yeah, it's rarely super high up but it does perk up when extremely happy, twitches when he hears noises and droops when annoyed, scared or bummed. But by default his ears is like.... juuuuuuust partially up, always listening. I ah........... realized it became canon when it happened in Breath of the Wild. So of course I made it canon in 3adv.

Talks, Teases and Tea
Warnings: I can’t think of any. They’re just talking about boundaries and lightly teasing and tickling ech other. Brief Ler!Aizawa and Lee!Hizashi with implied Lee!Toshinori. About 2500 words.
Kanene’s notes: Heya! I’ve been wanting to finish this fic for a while! I wanted to write a bit more about it because it is an interesting scenario but dfghjdfghjr I was already losing the tracks with this quite long fic, so, yay! I am glad I am finally sharing this w u all <3. I hope u like this ^v^
[~*~]
Toshinori winced at his own smile, staring at the cup of tea in front of him with an intensity that wasn't really needed. His gaze flicked quickly across the two guests in the room, analysing the situation. Aizawa drank his tea slowly, partly oblivious to Hizashi, who kept drumming his finger on the tabletop in a rhythm he was sure he heard somewhere, humming a song. Their gazes locked together and Toshinori couldn't help the slight blush which traveled to his cheeks. They quickly averted their eyes.
Aizawa's loud, exasperated sigh flew across the room. "You two are ridiculous."
Hizashi and Toshinori broke down in giggles, not really denying the black haired teacher words, the acknowledgement of how they, professional heroes trained to act through the nervousness and pressure, just spent minutes deviating glares and blushing like teenagers in love making them only laugh harder.
"It's kind of silly, isn't it?" Yagi was the first to get himself together, softly smiling under Shouta's intense eyes.
"Yes." The aforementioned retorted. "But it's necessary."
"We can't say it isn't even a bit awkward, though." Hizashi contemplated, stirring a spoon on his untouched drink. His smile became wicked as he wiggled his fingers in front of Aizawa's face. "Aren't you nervous about sharing your deepest desires with us, Shou?"
He yelped as the other batted his hand away, scoffing, not unkindly. "Stop, you're scaring Toshinori."
The attention switched to the taller one. Showing vulnerability was difficult to all of them, but to the former number one hero it sometimes felt as if he would never be able to fully do it.
He was working on that.
"Oh, shit, sorry, I didn't mean to."
"It's okay, Hizashi-san." Yagi scratched at his neck, wondering if the hot feeling painting his cheeks would ever disappear. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't trust you with it." His grin was small, but honest.
Aizawa did his best to not get up from his chair and hide Toshinori on his capture weapon before he killed him with cuteness, just as he did with his cats. At his side, Hizashi made a show of placing his hands on his chest and crying "My heart!" dramatically as if he just got shot. All Might's face got even redder.
"Right." The erasure hero started before his urge became stronger. "Let's start with a safeword."
"Right." Yagi beamed, getting a small notepad in hands and hurrying to find a blank space on it.
He looked up when no more suggestions filled the air, only to find a very amused green gaze staring right at him as the other grumbled something about not being awake enough for that and stole Hizashi's tea. "Toshi, dear, what are you doing?"
"I'm, uh, actually I…" He cleaned his throat. "My memory is kind of bad so I was wondering that I could, maybe, take notes?”
"Will they be coded?"
"Yes."
“Then I don’t care. Do what works for you.”
"Oooh," Yamada popped in, hands resting on the tabletop as his body inclined forward. "Clever! Such a clever idea! Can you teach it to me later? And let me take pictures?"
"O-of course, Hizashi-san."
Shouts huffed, amused. "You know he will use all that information against you, right?"
"Shhh! Shou, don’t expose my evil plan!"
"Maybe we could use the Spotlight system?" Yagi cut their bickering, knowing the lengths they could take their playfulness and he really doubted he would have the courage to finish this conversation another day.
"Bo-o-ring! We should choose something more unique and new! Something more like..." The blonde's eyes suddenly gathered a dangerous glint. "I am here."
"No."
"Absolutely not."
"No, no, no, Toshinori-san, hear me out, hear me out!" His words almost couldn't be understood across his crackles, the voice hero trying to make the Number One hero to stop hiding his face, knowing that any attempt of reasoning about this with Aizawa would be quickly ignored. "Think about it! Think carefully about it!"
The called one peaked between the fingers of the hand, opening his mouth to vehemently protest against the use of his hero persona’s trademark phrase, but then, in that exact moment Yamada pointed to Shouta.
Suddenly, a very clear image of his gloomy, reserved coworker, with a gigantic smile plastered on his face shouting "I am here!" between his frantic, low laughter filled his mind.
He took a steady breath.
"I am tempted," was his final verdict.
"Yes!"
"I refuse."
"Democracy is really a bitch isn't it?" Hizashi pouted in fake empathy. "I promise I won't tease you... too much."
"I can and will kill you both before that. I am an underground hero, I have my ways."
Yagi chuckled. "I still believe we could use the spotlight system, too. It's faster."
"Noo, Toshinori-san! We were almost winning!"
Aizawa flicked him on the forehead, lips quirking upwards before he sobered. "We also need a word to signal a need for a break and a non verbal one. That is not negotiable."
Hizashi blinked, red dusking his initially confident expression. "Oh, yeah, this is actually a very good idea."
"For the non verbal we could tap out?"
"Nope. I trash around too much, probably would do this without even realizing it…" How could Yamada talk so freely about this, Yagi would never truly understand. "Ah, I know! We could just snap our fingers!” He was fast to demonstrate his words. “Quick and easy!"
"And we could use Break as the other one, everyone agrees?" Aizawa nodded at the affirmative sounds said by the others. "Good. Bondage?"
Silence.
"I am… not very comfortable with it as the ler, but…" Hizashi drummed his fingers harder on the tabletop, stopping only when Aizawa gave his mug back, happy in occupying his antsy hands with it. "Sometime... When I am in a strong Lee mood, I like the light ones?"
"Always ask before, then." Yagi smiled kindly at him before scribbling that down. "Shouta-san?"
"Yes. Just not my arms."
"Right."
"And you Toshinori-san?"
The pencil stopped for a second. Yagi chuckled nervously.
"...I don't really know."
He couldn't describe it. That not quite quite, but definitely there, feeling that accommodated on his chest everytime he thought about it.
"It's okay." Yamada reassured. "It's never too late to discover and try it! When you feel comfortable enough to do that, of course. Also, don’t forget: just one word and we will stop."
"This talk is important exactly because of that."
Warmth filled Yagi’s chest at care and the safety that flowed from each act, each word from the other two.
"Of course." His tune then became serious. When did he get so soft in the first place? "And, if any of your preferences change, warn me. This needs to be comfortable for all of us, right?"
"Will do."
Shouta hummed in agreement.
"Okay. Aaand what about petnames?"
Suddenly, Yagi was very, very happy for having that conversation in person and not through shy, quick messages in their shared group - how he first intended for it to be,- because otherwise he wouldn't have had the gold opportunity to watch how fast Aizawa’s face was able to blush entirely with a single sentence.
The Erasure Hero lifted his gaze, gave a quick glance between Hizashi’s smug expression and Toshinori’s truly awed one and immediately shrunk on his chair, arms crossed and grumpy grubbles being chewed under his breath, the red on his features still shining brightly.
“Fuck.” Both of the other two integrants in the room snickered at the curse.
“Baaabeee.~”
“Shut up. I hate you.”
“My deeear, my adorably, adorable blushy toyy.~”
Shouta twitched in his place, an uncontrollable wobbly smile opening its way to his lips, butterflies jumping and dancing non stop on his stomach. He shrunk even further on the chair, refusing to hide his face only because he knew how much of a fuel that would be for both blondes.
(And, maybe because deep down, he liked the attention he was receiving.)
“I am going to leave.”
“Aww, why? The serious, grumpy Shouta can’t stand letting his bestest friends knowing that he is actually a soft, adorable, flustered-” at each adjective Hizashi ignored the other’s - admitelly fake - sharp gaze in order to poke his stomach with every word. “-little wiggle lee?”
It took just a blink of an eye. In a second Yamada was tormenting him, having an absolute blast with the way Shouta’s blush was travelling all the way to his neck, chest shaking with his attempts to trap the bubbling giggles inside, and, on the other, the underground hero used their proximity to grab the Voice Hero’s hand and twist him so the blond would be trapped on his arms, a surprised high pitched sound flying the air.
“I would be very careful with my next words, if I were you.” The black haired hero adjusted them so his low tune would hit directly Hiazhi’s unprotected, and also very sensitive, ears, that act alone being able to fish more whining noises from the blond.
“And you.” Toshinori couldn’t help the way his soft smile turned into a nervous one when those black, deep eyes stared directly on the bottom of his soul, the redness of his face taking some of the sharpness of his words, however. “Don’t think you’re out of danger just because there is a table between us. We know I’m faster.”
“I wouldn’t dream about it, Shouta-san.” Yagi replied with an amused placating gesture, his entire face filled with softness. “I was just appreciating how considerate and attentive it was from Hizashi-san’s part to bring up such an important topic and also how great it was for you to let him have some fun before your immediate reaction.”
He watched with a sweet interest and a polite faked confusion, as if he couldn’t understand the impact his words and the implications they held, as their faces were set on flames again with his blunt honesty.
“You’re on thin fucking ice.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Shouta-san!” The former number one hero chipped before innocently writing down a few more lines on his notes.
“Yagi-san!” Yamada whined. “I thought we were a team! Partners in crime! Two forces that gathered together to bring Shouta down. How could you betray me like that?!”
Toshinori just grinned free of any guilt, not taking long before he sobered again. “Is there, however, any nickname you’re not comfortable with, Shouta-san, Hizashi-san?”
The one with vivid green eyes seemed lost in thought for a moment, so the underground hero’s grumbles were easily noticed in the sudden silence.
“Just don’t call me any variation of ‘pet’ and you’ll be fine.”
“Thank you.” Toshinori replied, writing that information down as well.
“Oh, yeah, I just remembered something. It’s not really a nickname and more of a situation? I think it can be called that?” Hizashi cocked his head to the side, fingers tapping on the temple of his glasses. “I mean, it’s not the topic here and I can wait for when talk about it, of course! I just literally remembered it-”
“Hizashi. Spill it.”
“Right. Okay. Hm, don’t call for help while we’re at it?”
Shouta furrowed his eyebrows, not really getting the reason for the wish. His gaze found Yagi’s one and found confusion there as well, however both were quick to let it be buried away by understanding.
If Hizashi wanted to share his reasoning in the future, he would. It was not in their place to question his boundaries.
“Of course, dear.”
Hizashi could barely describe the warm, nice feeling filling his chest when he heard Toshinori calling him that, immediately melting when Aizawa gave his back a few light scratches, not enough to tickle, but just the nice tad of a good, comforting gesture.
“Softies, softies. All of you.” He sing sang cheerfully at them.
A squeeze on his tummy made a loud squeal cut any other teasing he might come up with. “I can show Yagi how soft you can be.” Aizawa purred, his hands slowly crawling to strategic, ticklish spots on his belly and thighs.
“Shouta. Shouta, wait! Y-you know I was only kidding, my dear, my sunshine, my old pal, my very kind, very, very forgiving friend!” Yamada’s wiggles become stronger, titters spilling from his lips in between his pleas, body squirming and trying to escape from the other’s still strong hold.
“Don’t think you will able to escape so easily, not after the whole ‘petnames’ topic you decided to bring up.” His titters evolved to fast giggles when Aizawa decided it would be a good idea to place surprising pokes and prodding on his skin. “Also, a serious, sad face doesn’t fit you.”
“We stihihill have to finish the conversation!” Aizawa hummed, not convinced. “Yagi, my hero, tell him!”
Toshinori wouldn’t point himself as a coward, really. He had faced and battled against all kinds of villains with a reassuring smile and a booming laughter on the tip of his tongue, he had survived a meeting with Nedzu and Gran Tourino’s training.
However, as Aizawa’s smirk was thrown in his direction in sync with a sharp, playful gaze, he couldn’t stop the excited squeak that escaped from his mouth.
Also, at the scene of a previously smug Yamada giggling himself silly and staring at him with a fake pout, maybe he couldn’t help but feel a little playful, as well. Besides, even though he would deny it until his end days, Yagi knew how much soft Aizawa truly was when it came to the people he cared about, therefore the underground hero would be careful to not cross any of the blond’s boundaries.
“Oh, my, it seems like the tea is cold.” He got up, gathering the cups on his arms. “Maybe we could take a deserved break before discussing the rest of the topics, right? I will make more tea.” And he grinned, light and innocently, at Hizashi’s energetic protests, which grew more less like words and more like a mess of laughter, snorts and giggles as the tallest friend directed himself to the kitchen.
After a few more minutes of tickles, Aizawa stared at the smiley mess on his hold with a dangerous shine on his eyes.
“You’re really a tickle monster, aren’t you?” Hizashi chuckled.
“It’s not my fault that he really believes he can escape from the same fate of yours.”
Yamada huffed a laugh, lightly smacking his arms. “Go. But soon enough I will catch my breath, so don’t forget to watch your back. ~”
Aizawa gave his hips a warning pinch before snorting as he got up, looking at the kitchen’s direction with a smirk on his face. “Good luck with that.”
Needless to say, they had a very giggly break.

The International ("Soju 🇰🇷")
Requested By linxiaopei
"Newcastle"
-"You are here" Said Matt’s boss in a drunken tone as Matt walked towards the table his boss and some coworkers were seated in.
-"Jesus Christ how much have you guys drunk already" Said Matt as he sat down and observed a mountain of empty shots and beer mugs.
-"Not enough and you haven’t had any yet" One of Matt’s coworkers said as he continued drinking from his mug.
-"If you guys forgot I'm the one driving all of you home so I can't drink" Said Matt rather tired as he wanted to be at home instead of in a bar filled with drunk and obnoxious people.
-"Just buy yourself one and bring us another round of beers" Said Matt's boss as he passed him a coupon for a free drink.
Matt begrudgingly got up from his seat and walked towards a small area where a female bartender was passing a few drinks to a waiter.
-"Hello Sir how may I help you?" Asked the bartender as she pushed a menu in front of Matt.
Matt turned around and counted the number of people that were seated around his boss.
-"Could you give me four pints of beer please?" Said Matt as he looked back towards the bartender.
-"Sure" Said the bartender as she rapidly started to fill four large glass mugs with beer.
-"You seem a little stressed sir, are you alright?" Said the bartender once she noticed Matt's blatantly obvious impatient demeanor.
-"Sorry, the thing is that I shouldn't be here at all" Said Matt with a little bit of anger in his voice.
-"Same here, today is my first day on the job and I already want to call it quits" Said the bartender as she placed the first mug of beer in front of Matt.
-"Why haven't you?" Asked Matt
-“Even though I don't like large crowds and this bar is the worst I at least get more than the minimum wage” Said the bartender as she placed the second mug of beer in front of Matt.
-"So are you going to continue working here for the rest of your life?" Asked Matt
-"Not at all, I'm working here to pay for my studies, unlike the rest of my family I prefer to work for my stuff” said the bartender as she placed the third mug of beer in front of Matt.
-"Your family is rich?" asked Matt with little intrigue in his voice.
-"Yup, they are a bunch of snobbish idiots, my father doesn't work because he inherited a lot of money from our estate and my brother is an influencer who wins a lot of money by posting revealing images of his gym routines on his Instagram" Said the bartender as she stopped filling the last mug of beer and turned back to face Matt directly.
-“Wow, I can't imagine you see your family very often" Said Matt
-“No I don’t, my father lives in our family estate which I don’t normally visit and my brother is currently traveling around the world with his group of roided meatheads”. Said the bartender as she rolled her eyes.
-"It must be a fun life, kind of wish mine was like that" Said Matt with a little bit of melancholy in his voice
-"It does seem desirable but I frankly believe in working hard for one’s stuff" Said the bartender with a smile on her face.
-"What are you studying?" Asked Matt as he made himself comfortable in a small seat placed in front of the bartender's workstation.
-'' I'm studying accounting at Newcastle University" Said the bartender.
-"Well I'm an accountant ..." Said Matt with a small amount of surprise in his voice.
-"Really? How is the job? I mean I love the classes I'm seeing but I don't know anything about how to apply them in a real-life scenario" Said the bartender with a glee in her eyes.
-"Well I've been an accountant for the last five years and believe me when I say that the scenarios in class are way easier than the ones I've experienced in the job, it's hard and complicated but I still kind of like what I do" Said Matt in an attempt to reassure the bartender's career choice.
-"Why are you taking so much!"
Matt turned around and saw his drunk boss moving slowly towards him.
-"Sorry I was just speaking to the bartender," Said Matt as his boss leaned on the bar, meanwhile the bartender immediately completed filling the last mug of beer and placed it in front of Matt.
Matt's boss looked at the four beers and immediately frowned -"Where the hell is yours?" He asked.
-"Sir I can't drink I'm driving you and everyone else home" said Matt in an attempt to stop his boss's insistence.
-"Nonsense, just drink a small bit, that's all I'm asking from you" Matt's boss said as he moved closer towards him.
Matt momentarily looked at the bartender as she grabbed the smallest glass size possible, while she was doing that Matt looked at the menu that had been placed earlier in front of him.
In the meantime, Matt's boss rapidly drank his beer and walked away toward his table with the other three that were left.
-"Is this good?" Asked the Bartender as she showed Matt the small glass, Matt immediately looked up and nodded.
-"Do you have something that is similar to vodka but isn't that powerful?" Asked Matt as his boss approached him again.
-"Well, we do have Soju, it's from South Korea and it's in a way an exact match to Vodka, the only difference is that it's mildly less alcoholic, will that do?" Asked the bartender.
-"Please give me one in the small glass you showed me earlier" Said Matt as his boss was now standing next to him.
-"What did you order?" Asked Matt's boss.
-"I ordered some vodka" Lied Matt.
-"Wow Matt, I thought you didn't want to get drunk tonight" Said Matt's boss as he laughed like a clown.
In the meantime, the Bartender had poured Matt's drink from a small green bottle with Korean lettering onto a small transparent glass.
-"I hope you enjoy it sir" Said the Bartender as she placed the drink in front of Matt.
-"Here goes nothing" Though Matt as he swallowed every drop of Soju in an instant, because of this he immediately felt a burning sensation in his throat, luckily it wasn't as bad as the one produced by drinking vodka.
Matt then gave the empty glass to the Bartender and looked at his boss. -"Are you happy now?" Asked Matt with a little sarcasm in his voice.
-"Where is the fun in only one?" Asked Matt's boss.
-"You can't be serious, do you want me to get arrested" Said Matt in a raised tone of voice as he was tired of being pushed around by his middle age child of a boss.
-"Don't you dare to speak to me that way, I'm your boss, if you don't drink another shot I'll fucking fire you" Said Matt's boss in an aggressive tone.
Matt momentarily looked at the bartender who had a sad expression on her face while still having the green bottle of soju between her hands.
-"Another one please," said Matt as he finally relented to his boss's order.
The bartender immediately grabbed the empty glass and filled it with the crystalline liquid -"Here you are sir" said the bartender as she passed the drink to Matt.
As Matt grabbed the glass and drank its contents he wished he could end it all, to have a new life where he didn't have a boss or any type of responsibilities.
Once Matt placed the empty glass in front of him the bar where he was in seemed to disappear and was rapidly replaced by the interior of a luxury hotel room.
-"What the hell" Said Matt in a worried tone as he was about to get up from the bed he had suddenly materialized in, before Matt could completely get out of the bed a strange pain made his stop.
This pain was due to Matt's five feet nine stature increasing to six feet three, while that was happening Matt's slim build changed into a more muscular one. His flat chest developed a pair of juicy and muscled pecs, down below in Matt's stomach a few small tires of fat were rapidly removed out of existed which left him with a flat surface that was rapidly replaced by the growth of a six-pack.
Meanwhile, in Matt's skinny arms his biceps, triceps, and forearms grew as new muscle mass filled them, a few veins also appeared here and there, as that was happening Matt's back also became incredibly shredded.
While all the changes to Matt's upper body were occurring all the healthy patches of hair that covered the majority of his body disappeared leaving him completely waxed.
As the majority of Matt's upper body had gone through a certain amount of changes the next area to change was his lower body.
At first in Matt's pelvic area his equipment grew larger and larger. This made him immediately aroused as a moan escaped from his mouth, this moan however was very masculine and in a way, it sounded like that of a huge beast.
When Matt's dick reached the ten-inch mark his ass became the next target of the changes, it grew until what was left was a perfect round and bouncy bubble, then Matt's thighs and calves grew larger leaving him with a pair of powerful legs.
Because of the new growth in muscles around Matt's body, his clothes became extremely strained, as Matt suddenly moved his clothes finally gave in, they broke into small pieces which immediately disappeared, the larger pieces which were still attached to his body also disappeared leaving him completely naked.
A few seconds after Matt's clothes had disappeared a pair of black underwear and black swimming shorts now covered his private area while still leaving his upper body completely exposed.
-"Shit" Said Matt out loud as he noticed his new body and the weird clothing that had replaced his shirt and dress pants.
While Matt continued looking he felt a weird sensation as his face lots its Caucasian features which were replaced by more Eastern Asian ones
Matt's lips inflated only a small bit, his nose became fair and straight, his eyes became slightly slanted and his pupils became dark in coloration, the last thing to change was Matt's hair, it became coal black and his previously office neutral haircut was replaced by a more trendy one.
With the changes now complete Matt got up from the bed he was laying in and grabbed an ultra-modern Samsung phone that was placed on a sleeping table next to the bed.
Matt unlocked the phone with his new face and immediately opened the camera, he was obviously shocked and amazed at the beautiful young Asian face that was looking back at him.
-"너무 이상해" (This is so weird) Said Matt in fluent Korean with his new deep voice, the Adonis looking back at him through the camera shared nothing in common with his old nerdy self, the only thing that was the same was the pair of black glasses he was still wearing.
After exploring his new face with the camera for a little more Matt finally decided to look at Instagram for any info about his new self, Matt opened the personal profile which had the name "Gan Sangwook" displayed next to a picture of Matt's new self flexing with a dumb grin plastered on his face.
Matt after looking at the name and picture also noticed that the new him had a following of almost a million people and that his account was verified meaning that he was relatively famous and well known.
Matt then proceeded to scroll down, as he did he saw dozens of images of the new him working out in gyms surrounded by similarly muscled men, there were also some pictures of him in different locations from around the world and a few pictures were modeling and sponsor type posts.
As Matt continued looking at the pictures a new personality and identity became more dominant in his head, during the process of Matt's old life and memories being eliminated the door of his hotel room opened with a loud bang.
With the door now wide open a group of five heavily muscled Korean men entered the room, Matt remembered seeing some of these men in the Instagram profile but now he somehow recognized all of them and felt a deep personal connection with them.
-"이봐, 여기서 뭐해? 늦었 어. 해변에 가야 해" (Hey dude what are you doing here, it's late. We should be on the beach) Said the bigger of them as the others around him cheered with their deep dumb sounding voices.
-"해변 친구들을 위해 준비된 것 외에 제 인스 타 그램을보고 있었어요" (I was looking at my Instagram, other than that I'm ready for the beach dudes) Said Matt as he started flexing his muscles, the men he now recognized as his gym crew also started flexing their muscles.
-"그럼 가자!" (Then let's go!) Said another one of the muscled men as Matt got up from the bed and walked with the men through the large hallways of the most luxurious resort in Jeju Island.
After a short elevator ride, Matt or Gan Sangwook walked with his friends toward the private beach owned by the resort.
-"수영하러 가기 전에 여러분 사진을 제 인스 타 그램에 올려도 될까요?" (Dudes before we go swimming can I post a picture of all of you to my Instagram?) Asked Gan as he and his crew were a few feet away from the sea.
All of the men said yes and Gan got into position, once he took a few hundred pictures he posted the one he thought looked the best with the caption "해변 준비 😎💪🏻" (Ready for the beach)
After Gan took the picture he continued walking toward the sea, as he did the last vestiges of his old identity of a thirty-year-old British accountant were eliminated what was left was in its place was Gan Sangwook, a young and muscled South Korean jock whose only worry in the world was to keep his body in shape and his one million Instagram followers happy.

Touch starved/ hurt reader - hcs or scenarios the turtles? Reader super cool regarding friendship, like funny and open etc etc, but if someone tries to do anything that implies a bit more regarding romantic stuff they are kinda like oop- no. Reader is kinda jumpy and just freezes when someone’s they like does any kind of affection ( blushes a lot, try to run away and avoid those situations) people have taken them for granted which has make them a bit cold and defensive in that area- they want to be more affectionate ( which they know deep down it’s what they crave) but it’s kinda they are a scared / angry cat? Please, hope this makes sense, thank you
( also regarding looks and gender I think you can go with they/them so everyone can see a look but if themselfs in the scenario, and if you are going to any kind of skin ship, make the reader extremely defensive over their arms and tummy pls, I do love hugs but if anyone touches my hips I’ll try to get away so fast omg sbbtjfjdkdksn and I will just close off momentarily, I absolutely hate it, I’m more on the heavy side ( talk and chubby ) and if anyone’s touches the “giggly” parts I get extremely upset ( because of how ppl havemade fun of it over the years) and I think the boys would be very “??? What?” To that reaction cuz they didn’t think it was some thing bad to have? ( like a more soft and chunky/chubby body) because they haven’t been exposed long enough to society’s judgment or beauty standards ( I mean they know about! The ones who would have read more about it maybe it’s Leo and Donnie, but what I mean maybe they have never experienced something like this - themselfs irl) Eitherway this ask is already so long omg I’m sorry and thank you, if it’s too much you don’t have to do it, have a good night/ day!)
Okay first of all I love you and I would die for you. You are a perfect human being and there is literally no one else like you. Your body does a damn good job of keeping all of your organs in place and that's what matters. If anyone tells you different you rock their absolute shit.
And don't worry, I understood the request perfectly so no worries on that, I've got a similar body type except I'm really short. But I'm also super defensive over being touched or having those parts of my body perceived, so trust me when I say you're not alone. We be vibing with this together.
Now to the writing!
TMNT Headcanons
Boys reacting to a touch starved/defensive reader
Michaelangelo
Look man, our boy here is body positivity central, he thinks you look amazing and he wants everyone to know it
As far as you two go he's your best friend, your homie, your main man
So of course he's gonna wanna show you off, why wouldn't he?
He doesn't think you'd have a reason to not be okay with it, you've always been playful with him and his brothers
So obviously there's some widespread confusion once Casey gets tossed into the mix
All Mikey had done was reach behind him and snag you by the waist to pull you over
That was all
The words "and this is my best friend, y/n" never got the chance to leave his mouth
He was definitely not expecting you to squeak out in protest and scramble away from him as fast as humanly possible
Your face was burning red and you were clutching your sides, desperately trying not to bare your teeth in defence
Mikey couldn't help but feel heartbroken
Was there something wrong with him?
You sent Casey an unenthusiastic wave before turning on your heel and basically running out
Leaving a very confused orange turtle behind you
When he finally managed to catch up to you later you rushed to explain why you'd reacted the way you did
You couldn't stand his expression when you explained that no- you didn't think he was disgusting and no, he hadn't done anything wrong.
But he did seem baffled at you telling him that it was because you hated being touched there.
"Look Mikey, I've got no problem with the whole contact thing but you gotta give me a warning or something before you go around grabbing me. Okay?"
He was 100% fine with that
Anything to make you comfortable
But you both got to the point of being able to laugh at your reaction to the turtle trying to hold your hand
"Seriously Michaelangelo, I have a reputation to maintain. How am I supposed to do that when you're giving me feelings?"
Donatello
It completely baffled him
By all accounts it didn't make sense
You threw around compliments like you were playing hot potato and for whatever reason you'd always find someway to playfully flirt with him
But the second one of his brothers suggested something other than the innocent friendship the two of you had you would shut down completely
And coincidentally those types of comments were made at the most inconvenient times
Nothing screamed awkward more than you going stone cold and standoffish over a piece of pie
Bubbly and excited one moment, tossing around those positive affirmations to your favorite people
And staring murderously at an inanimate object the next
You were like an unsolvable rubix cube to him
But he was determined to figure you out
"Y/N?"
You didn't appear to be busy, just sitting on the haphazard bunk in your makeshift area with a book in your lap
The others had gone out on patrol and you weren't sure where Splinter was at that particular moment which left you and Donnie holding down the lair until they got back
The perfect time to approach the subject
"Hey y/n? Can I ask you something?"
His voice always got a little louder when you were alone, less afraid of being overheard. You looked up with a smile
"Fire away Dove."
His cheeks flushed in surprise
"uhhhhh... whydoyounotlikeme?"
You set your book down and leaned forward to stare at him
"Elaborate."
And he did, god he did, he did it at the speed of sound of course, but you caught every word
let me tell you, this boys heart broke for you when you told him that you did like him
you really really did
but the thought of being romantically involved with anyone made you shut down
Donnie assured you that it was fine
he'd wait for you as long as you needed
Raphael
Look, Raph knows a thing or two about being self conscious
out of all of his brothers he's the one who worries about his appearance the most
but you- holy shit he thinks you're the most amazing, perfect human in the world
so when he finds out that you hate being touched and that thinking about relationships makes your skin crawl he doesn't know whether to genuinely cry for you or punch someone in the mouth
both is okay
You'd always been very bold with your words and sometimes you'd even joke that you couldn't even tell when you were flirting with him
it just slipped out
and hearing that even though you could pull that off as easy as breathing and compliment all of them endlessly but you struggled to be comfortable in your own body?
that was a lot to unpack in one sitting
but the longer he sat with you and listened to you talk him through it the more he understood
sure, it was horrible
and he wouldn't likely stop thinking about hurting the people who'd done this to you (there'd be too many to count)
but you had a way of making him understand things
it was his favorite thing about you
"Uh- you know y/n, I uh- personally I think you look great. Like- all the time."
plz insert awkward finger guns here
there, your playful smirk was back and you were wiggling your eyebrows at him
"Awhhhh... is that Raph I see having feelings?"
Leonardo
he'd done enough listening and reading to know how society treated people who it thought was different
and he hated that you'd had to experience that for most of your life
when it came down to it and he saw that you had become particularly hard on yourself he took it upon himself to check in with you
that's how you'd started meditating with him
and you'd found it quite relaxing if you were completely honest
Leo told you that meditation was the best way to connect with your body and understand it
you hoped that in time you would understand what he meant by that
but the positive affirmations were doing something, so you'd take it
he'd always encourage you when you couldn't yourself
and always jump to your defense when the others got a little to out of bounds with their words
you still would noticeably flinch when touched without warning
they were all working with that
and he still found himself saddened that you'd recoil back into your protective walls if anyone mentioned anything inherently romantic
but you were coming around
and he was endlessly proud of you for that
Alright I hope I was able to get down what you were thinking. This one definitely took the most contemplating out of any of the requests I've gotten so I hope you like it!

Kobik - Chapter II
Bucky x Reader
Fluff/Angst
Chapter summary: You and Bucky begin to face your new reality.
Chapter 1
“Sam was right. You do have a staring problem,” was the first thing said between the two of you after you broke the news almost 5 minutes ago.
His face was still white even after sitting down. You sat across from him, you both being in the same spots that you were in before your outburst.
Out of all of the ways that you had imagined telling him would be like, this wasn’t anything close to any of your scenarios. Granted, the reaction itself was pretty on par with what you expected.
“When were you going to tell me?” he asked still in a trance. His eyes continued to dart from the ground to your stomach back and forth.
“I found out a couple of hours before you left. I didn’t want to freak you out before—”
“And how long did you plan on keeping this from me?”
“Really? That’s your first thought?” you snapped.
“Yeah,” he retorted.
“Well maybe I was just waiting for the right time, but obviously things don’t always go as planned!”
You and Bucky had never planned to have kids. The mere idea of it scared the hell out of you guys. So for the most part, you were pretty careful.
“How did this even happen?”
You leaned forward and looked him dead in the eyes.
“Bucky,” you said.
“I’ll give you one guess.”
He shook his head.
“You know what I mean.”
Suddenly a little voice crept up on you startling the both of you for a second.
“Is everything okay?”
Bucky was the first one to look at her, and you couldn’t help but notice the softening of his features; especially in his eyes.
“Yeah. Everything’s fine, kid. We’re just talking,” he said in a comforting tone.
She frowned suspiciously as though she wasn’t convinced, but she let it go.
You thought that seeing her after Bucky told you about her whole history would have made you even more afraid of her. But looking at her now, you saw the innocence in her that Bucky was so adamant about convincing you that she had. Honestly, she was kind of adorable once you got used to some of her unnatural features.
You turned your gaze back over to the house where Sam was standing at the doorway. You wondered if he heard anything from your intense conversation.
“Are you guys done with your little moment or not?” Sam shouted.
You looked over at Bucky whose eyes were still on Kobik with a nervous expression. You realized that once again you had almost completely forgotten the whole point of your little argument, and now he was struggling with what you told him and what to do with Kobik. Now you kind of hated yourself for doing all this to him.
So you did what you now felt you had to do and let out a big sigh.
“I don’t have a car seat.”
Bucky’s face looked a little confused.
“And I guess she’s tiny enough to sleep on our giant couch,” you continued. Now he was understanding.
“But I swear if there’s a moment where we’re in any type of danger—”
“Y/N, I would never—”
“I know.”
You knew that he wasn’t lying. One thing that you always trust was that he would do anything to protect you; even when you didn’t always trust his judgement with some of his risky/impulsive decisions. But him protecting you from bad people was how you two had met in the first place.
“Hooray!” she exclaimed jumping into Bucky’s arms. Something that would be seemingly normal for a child of her perceived age; except for the fact that she jumped from an impossibly far distance, and seemed to float slowly as she went down to wrap her own arms around his shoulder. Almost like there was an invisible parachute over her.
This was going to be interesting.
…
In the hours since Kobik had come home with the two of you, there was no denying that you were avoiding her. You felt a little bit guilty about it, but it wasn’t hard to tell that she was kind of avoiding you too. You couldn’t blame her, you didn’t exactly react in the best way in your initial interaction.
You checked the time on your computer. 7:00. You hadn’t realized how long you had holed yourself up in your office under the guise of catching up on emails. In all fairness when he saw how anxious you started getting when she began exploring the apartment, Bucky did suggest that you go rest or something said that he would handle her. Whatever that meant. You also had to admit to yourself that Kobik wasn’t the only one you were avoiding. You and Bucky were incredibly tense after your outburst, and you haven’t had space or time to talk about it yet.
When you walked into the kitchen to grab a glass of water you could see Bucky sitting in the living room with Kobik on his lap.
He was reading her a story from his iPad. It was what you remembered to be an excerpt of a story from his favourite book of short stories. She looked calm, and honestly quite comfortable. In fact, she was in the midst of falling asleep. Your heart might have melted if you weren’t so freaked out about the thought of her having some type of trauma-induced nightmare and burning a hole through the ceiling or something crazy like that in her sleep.
You decided to shake that thought and walked over to the bedroom to let yourself collapse onto the bed. And yet, when you got there you could not let yourself relax. All you could do was lay on the bed and stare at the ceiling wishing that you could feel numb inside instead of feeling everything else it was that you were feeling weighing down on you.
Not too much later you felt Bucky sit down on the bed right next to you. With that, you began to feel something along the lines of dread. You knew that this was the moment where you’d have to face whatever new reality you both had looming over you. The short-term ones, and the long-term ones.
After you sat up you both stared at each other not knowing where to start.
Finally, you decided to talk first.
“So how long do you think this is going to go on for?”
“Not too long,” he stated.
“We just need to find out who it is trying to find her and why. We have a few people looking into it now.”
“And then what?”
He let out a slow tired sigh and shrugged.
“After that, we just need to figure out who with and/or where she’ll be able to live with long term.”
You nodded, feeling a little relieved that he wasn’t going to try to convince you to keep her forever.
“Speaking of long term.”
‘Oh great,’ you thought.
“Yeah,” was all that you could say looking down at your still flat belly. You were still too scared to touch it like there was something or rather someone actually in there.
“How long?” he asked.
“I already told you how long I’ve known.”
“I mean how far along?” he clarified.
You suddenly thought about how cuddling with the tiny humanoid weapon in your living room might be more fun than having to go through this conversation.
“I mean I haven’t really gone to the doctor yet,” you stated.
“But if I did that math right…about 2 months.”
He didn’t say anything. Or rather, couldn’t say anything; which did nothing but succeed in driving you mad.
“Again with the long pauses?” you snapped.
“Y/N…”
But one look into your pleading, probably now red and puffy eyes made him stop.
And that was the moment when you began to cry. Days upon days’ worth of tears fell down your cheeks as sobs wracked your body. So instead of saying anything yet, he just held you. He wrapped his arms around you and rocked you side to side until you were finally able to calm down again.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly against the top of your head.
You furrowed your brows and looked up to meet his gaze.
“I’m sorry about how…terribly I’m reacting to this.”
You weren’t sure why but you suddenly felt a little laugh bubble over you, but you held back.
“If it makes you feel any better,” you sniffled.
“I immediately threw up, and then cried for three days straight. So I think I win.”
He let out a light chuckle before his eyes began to glaze over as he sunk deep into his thoughts.
You gave his hand a reassuring squeeze bringing him back to earth grateful that you were finally being the calmer one in this situation.
“We’re gonna figure this out,” you said giving him a soft smile.
“Yeah?” he responded wearily, returning the reassuring squeeze.
You shrugged.
“I mean we haven’t really been left with much of a choice now have we?”
He kissed you on the top of your head and sighed lightheartedly.
“No, I guess not.”
He turned to lay down with his head on his pillow and pulled you to lay comfortably in front of him.
“You know I love you no matter what, right?” he whispered while carefully resting his hand on your belly. And now you wanted to cry again. But instead of crying, you assured him,
“Always.”
You laid there for a while in silence but in peace. Also, you were exhausted. You both were. No matter how anxious you two might have been, it was one of those days where you would definitely not be fighting sleep. So as sleep came, you let it. You let it take you away into blissful oblivion.
But moments after you found yourself properly asleep, you were suddenly awoken by a child-like scream followed by a loud bang.
Kobik.
...
Thanks to all of you for all of the love I got for chapter 1. I'm pretty excited for the next few chapters. I hope you enjoyed.

masterlist. part 1. part 2.
unironically, you felt the need for a towel for a quick second because of the sweatiness of your palms. you were walking towards the gryffindor common room with malia, jada, and cedric. excitement and anxiety were bubbling inside of you the closer you got towards the party.
“are you sure theres a party? it sounds quiet?” jada asked malia, somewhat nervously. she had her eyebrows furrowed and didn’t want to make the mistake of four random hufflepuffs walking into the gryffindor common room.
“yeah, i’m sure hermione granger put up some kind of charm to keep out the noise. plus, (y/n)’s soulmate confirmed it anyways.” malia responded, sending a playful wink your way. a smile crept onto your face and it would’ve been your wand that you grasped your hand around in excitement but instead it was the marble and slightly cold pen.
“balderdash.” cedric spoke to the painting. the fat lady looked at him and rolled her eyes, acknowledging that he wasn’t a gryffindor but if she heard the password she would let him in. the fat lady made a mental note to change the password on her own terms. the portrait swung open and you walked through a slight haze as if someone turned on the heater and you could see it in the air. as you passed that hazy barrier, the bass of the music vibrated through your body. the lights were turned off but charmed bright red lights took it’s place and the room was crowded.
cedric and malia broke off to say hi to a couple of friends. you made your way over to ginny weasley with jada by your side and tapped her on the arm, eager to say hi to your friend. there was a time during the triwizard tournament that you got on the same boat as her to go to the second task. you watched as she scolded her two brothers for being too mean when trying to sell their pranking candy and chuckled. you hopped on the boat with jada and another roommate and she was shy but wanted to hop on as well.
“(y/n)! happy birthday!! im so happy to see you!” she exclaimed and didn’t hesitate to pull you into a hug. you returned the hug and had a small conversation with her. however, you felt somewhat bad when she started a conversation and you couldn’t help but let your eyes dart around the room, as if there would be a bright sign and an arrow pointing over someone’s head that read “(y/n)’s soulmate!”
ginny noticed your distracted eyes and caught your attention again, “looking for your soulmate?” she asked with a smirk and her eyebrows raised. you felt your cheeks get hot and nodded before letting out a deep breath.
“i think he’s in gryffindor. seems to be somewhat forgetful of the common room password.” you announced and she laughed, playfully rolling her eyes.
“i know way too many people like that in this house. you’d think people would learn by now.” ginny joked. her next sentence was cut off by the unison yelling of two redheaded boys standing on the table with two bottles of daisyroot drought. they both shook them very hard and popped off the caps, spraying the crowd below them as if it were champagne, leaving everyone soaked. most students opened their mouths or cheered along. you laughed and rolled your eyes playfully, pulling out your pen and writing on your arm.
will definitelyyyyy need a towel after the stunt the twins just pulled
you laughed to yourself and stuck the pen inside your pocket and glanced back up at the twins, ready for another shower of daisyroot drought. while george had a giant smile on his face, fred had the bottle in his right hand and was using a free pointer finger to lift up the sleeve of his shirt on his left arm.
you felt a lump in your throat and intently watched him read it. you grabbed jada’s arm next to you as you were frozen watching fred read the sentence to himself and smirking.
“jada.”
“what’s up?” she replied, a little loudly over the booming music.
“fred weasley.” you said loud enough so she could hear but in a good enough volume that people may not look over. this, weirdly enough, didn’t include ginny.
“what about him? did he get too much drought in your eyes?” ginny joked and laughed, but her smile turned into her eyebrows furrowing as she stared at your shocked face.
your eyes were still upon fred who was deparately patting around his shirt and pants, trying to find the pen he realized he must’ve misplaced. he looked frazzled and hopped down from the table.
“is fred- you know?” jada replied, eager evident in her voice and her eyes basically sparkling for you.
“wait, fred is your soulmate?” ginny basically yelled and you covered her mouth with your hand to get her to shut up. if you were wrong, that would’ve just been embarrassing.
“i think?” you said, chuckling and your shocked face soon came to the realizaiton of how happy you were. you couldn’t stop your fingers from tingling and bringing the hand that was once on ginny’s mouth, back to yours. ginny was beaming and wrapped her arms around you.
“ugh i hope so! my future sister in law!” she exclaimed and you laughed.
“don’t get too excited, i haven’t confirmed it yet.” you reminded her, your face feeling hot at the thought of marrying fred weasley.
“let me go ask him for you!” ginny said, basically on her way to confront her older brother. you grabbed her arms, your eyes wide and shook your head.
“don’t! because if it isn’t and you ask him about it, that would be so embarrassing.” you stated, worry filling up the tone of your voice. you saw george getting down from the table acknowleding the disappearence of his brother and spotted some fellow gryffindors to talk to. although, you couldn’t spot fred.
“no, (y/n), you don’t understand! it makes sense! he mentioned to george today that he just started talking to his soulmate!” ginny reassured you and grabbed ron’s arm as he was innocently passing by.
“bloody hell, ginny! do something about those claws of yours!” ron whined and exasperated, glaring at his little sister.
“(y/n) is fred’s soulmate!” she said, her smile emitting towards his direction and his annoyed face turned into shock.
“wait! we aren’t totally sure yet!” you said, your heart rate increasing at the fact that at this rate, ginny would tell the entire weasley lineage before you could confirm it with fred himself.
“go up to him now! i don’t know how much longer i can hear of him talking about not knowing his soulmate, five months of talking everyone’s ears off. worst case scenario, he’s not.” ron said, basically screaming over the loud music. you laughed in response but took what he said in, everything was really making sense.
“what are you guys up to?” you heard a deep and familar voice ask from beside you. you looked up and your heart dropped for a second but slowly fluttered up as you identified that the man infront of you wasn’t fred, but george. you admired the similarity in features for a second before ron’s voice snapped you out of it.
“(y/n) is fred’s soulmate!” ron exclaimed and your hands lifted to your face in stress in an instant.
“merlin’s beard, are all the weasley’s this terrible at keeping secrets?” you inquired, your face going hot, for what felt like the 100th time since coming into the common room. ron’s face looked sheepish but you felt george’s eyes on you.
“are you serious? thank god, he never stops talking about you! let me get him, he can’t find his pen!” george said but you grabbed his arm before he could go on his journey to find his frazzled twin looking for his pen. you let out a stressed breath and paused.
“wait, he talks about me?” you asked, a gleam of hope sparkled in your eye. george smiled and rolled his eyes, “yeah, i never hear the end of it.”
your nerves felt calmer and you looked around. “fuck it, i’m going to look for him.” you stated, feeling a sudden gryffindor courage. fred’s siblings all had similar happy expressions and you chuckled, realizing fred didn’t only have an identical twin but basically an identical family. you glanced at jada and she gave you a thumbs up before you took off.
it didn’t take long to find fred, seeing as he was above six foot and had vibrant hair. you saw him rummaging in open spots of the common room and under pillows and chairs. “lost something?” you asked, trying to sound unknowing.
he glanced up immediately at the sound of your voice and a smile formed on his face at the sight of you. “to your surprise, i actually enjoy spending my time organizing furniture and making sure it looks up to par.”
you laughed at his joke and rolled your eyes, feeling as if your heart was going to beat out of your chest. “here, take my pen since you lost yours.”
fred reached out to grab it for a second before putting it together, “how did you know i lost my pen?”
“kind of put it together that you could be a forgetful person. first the gryffindor common room password, than your pen...you have a track record, weasley.”
a smirk formed on his face and he was putting the pieces together. the smirk soon transformed into a softer smile and a sparkle shone in his eye at the sight of you. you drew a tiny heart on your wrist to see if it would show up on his, to prove your theory right. you saw glitter light from his wrist and your eyes met.
“i guess that settles the mystery.” fred stated, a giant smile on his face as the black ink disappeared from both of your wrists. “can i?” he asked.
he walked towards you slightly learning in before you smiled and nodded. he let his hands make their way to cup your face and pulled you in for a kiss. you felt yourself slightly on your tippy-toes and let yours hands make their way to his torso, deepening the kiss. you suddenly heard cheering and the both of you pulled away, calmer than before. you glanced over at the sound and saw cedric, jada, malia, the weaselys, and most of their friends cheering and clapping, excited for the two of you.
your face went hot and you got slightly embarrassed at all the attention before letting your head burrow into fred’s chest, laughing. you felt his body vibrating at he laughed too, wrapping his arms around your head and pulling you somehow closer to his body warmth.
“i knew it would be you.” fred whispered into your ear before planting another kiss on the top of your head.
“it was written in the stars.” you responded with before leaning in for another kiss.

Okay so here's a fun idea for a songfic! Can I have a songfic with Kid with a ex-gf who's in a punk band (she was originally part of the crew but left it after a rough ending of their relationship), the crew hears about a concert on the island they're stopping at. Kid wants to go just to kind of laugh but when they go, he's kind of in shock at their progression.
She spots them in the crowd, focusing on Kid before whipping out either Black Sheep by Metric or Everything Back But You by Avril Lavgne. I know not true punky songs but they fit well enough lol
Maybe end it where they kind of make up?
Omg yess I love sad love ;-;
But You
A Eustass Kid Scenario
•~•~•~•~
Kid’s days had melted together, and eventually so did his weeks and so did the momths. It was all just a blur of violence, looting, drinking, and a painful grip on his heart. He thought about that day everynight, he would drink to forget but when he lay in bed piss drunk the only thing he could think about was the sight of you in another man’s arms and the look of horror on your face as he was shot in the head by an “unknown” attacker.
Flashback
You sat in an old rundown inn, your mind clouded with the alcohol you had tried to drown yourself in. The post card hanging from your hand by the tips of your cold fingers.
You should leave, I’ve had my fun but it’s time to be serious
I want you to be her
I’ll be in my workshop late tonight
I expect you to be gone by the time I’m back
The mangled postcard smelled of cheap perfume, but you were too focused on the words to put much thought to that. He must’ve been with her when he wrote it, her perfume wearing off on the paper. You had caught her clinging on to him, and in a fit of rage and jealousy you had ran to another man and betrayed the trust you had built with Kid.
You had blacked out after a few rounds of hard liquor and a gunshot through the head of the man in front of you splattering blood across your face. When you awoke you were laying in the bed of a dirty inn, and the Victoria Punk was gone, the only thing left was a postcard signed with the captain’s name.
End of flashback
You were sitting in the kitchen of your ship, eating with your band/crew, conversing over the show you were playing tomorrow night followed by a break for a few days. You’re punk music career had been keeping you busy for the past two months, and you were trying enjoying yourself when you played with them.
Still, late at night when the alcohol wore off, it brought you to a state of mind with terrified you, bringing back every single memory of your previous voyages with your ex captain. You would allow yourself to wallow in self pity until the next day, when you would return to your punk and fiery personality that was so well known across the seas.
Kid rested his chin in the palm of his hand as he stared at the poster Killer had handed him, portraying a picture of the punk band that held a reputation despite not being a big pirate or anything similar. He stared at the bright smile that haunted his dreams, his nightmares, and his every waking thought. The smile he loved but despised more than anything.
There was nothing he desired more than to have you back. Killer had explained what was likely going through your mind at the sight of the whore clinging to him. She was simply a lowlife wannabe pirate princess who held no importance in his life whatsoever. He had killed her for ruining his love, but it was too late to mend what he had done for you had already fled the island, ripping part of him away with you. So with one more swig of beer, he set course for your show.
Arriving at the start of your second song, the Kid pirates walked into the cheering crowd that surrounded your stage. Kid’s breath caught in his throat as he stared longingly at the angel he had lost months ago, the way your leather clothes hugged your curves and your hair swaying lit up by the lights, intoxicated him beyond rational thoughts. He stared frozen in place.
As the crowd roared with cheers, you grinned at the wave of fans that made everyday happier. But all color drained from your face as your eyes met the red head’s. Even from far away shrouded in darkness you recognized his fur coat and bright red hair that you had come to loathe. Your heart’s beat drowned out the cheers of the crowd as your head swam with emotions that you had shoved down and drowned in whiskey for the past two months. With your brain clouded over and a surge of impulsiveness, you turned and instructed your band to play your song. The crowd quieted down and your band struck up the tune, you kept your eyes glued to Kid’s which had never once left yours.
Two months away from you but I couldn’t tell,
I thought that everything was gonna be fine
The postcard that you wrote
With that stupid little note
Something wasn’t quite right about it
It smelled like cheap perfume
And it didn’t smell like you
Kid knew exactly what you were singing about, and it broke his heart to relive it from your point of view. He felt a sting in his eyes but was too wrapped up in your voice to do anything about it.
There is no way you can get around it
Because you wrote “I wish you were her”
But you left out the “e”
You left without me
And now you’re somewhere out there with a
Hey, Hey
Physco, babe I hate you
Why are guys so lame
Everything I gave you
I want everything back but you
Under the lights, you could’ve sworn you saw a glittering tear slide down Kid’s cheek and fall onto the fur of his coat.
My friends tried to tell me all along
That you weren’t the right one for me
As the music faded out and was replaced by cheers and hollers, you broke eye contact and swiftly walked off the stage- you had to get out of here. The crew quickly packed up the intrsuments and supplies, and you were the last to head down towards the docks. While walking on the path down to the docks, clitching your coat around you, footsteps appeared behind you. You already knew who it was, and you picked up your pace. As the footsteps picked up pace too you started running down the path.
“Y/N!!” You tried to tune out his desperate pleas, but a hand reached out and firmly wrapped around your wrist holding you back.
“Turn around Y/N. Why are you running from me?” Kid’s voice was quiet ending the question. He sounded like a lost child, not the captain of one of the most feared pirate crews.
Slowly your straighten up and turn around facing your ex lover. He has tears brimming your eyes, something you never thought you’d see. It makes your own eyes tear up as you stand in silence just taking in the sight of each other. He looks like a mess to be honest, you can make out the dark eye bags and the small stubble on his chin. You have to say a small part of you likes seeing himself ins such bad shape over little old you.
“What do you want Kid, I have a boat to catch” you talk to him coldly, feeling slight guilt as he had been talking so softly to you.
“I just want you back angel”
“You left me, why do you want me back? What about your other whore” you see Kid wince at your harsh words and unwavering icy stare.
“She was some lowsy wannabe, I was trying to get her off, I would never jeopardize what we have”
“Had, what we had”
“It’s not gone Y/N, is it?” It wasn’t, as much as you hated Kid for leaving you alone, you couldn’t deny that your love for him still burned in your chest. Tears now streamed down your face as you hardened your glare.
“It’s gone Kid. Everything is gone”
“You know I didn’t do anything with that girl, so what did I do” It’s true that you know he didn’t do anything with the girl, because you had heard of her gruesome death by Kid’s hand, abs the fact that Kid had rented an Inn room and layed you in the bed meant he still cared for you when he left you. But that’s what he did, he left you all alone.
“You left me... YOU LEFT ME ALONE!” Your sadness turned to anger as you thought of all the things you had done for him only to be cast aside and left so easily. You stepped closer to him still scolding him-
“AFTER EVERYTHING WE’VE BEEN GHROUGH YOU THREW ME ASIDE SO EASILY! AND IT HURT KID, YOU HURT ME!” You stood directly in front of Kid now, you landed a hit against his broad chest. As your sobs became stronger so did your hits.
“I HATE YOU EUSTASS KID” You cried out at you landed your final punch and felt your legs begin to give. Before you could fall, Kid grabbed your shoulders tightly,
“I’m so sorry Y/N, I love you more than anything and I’ll do anything to get you back. You think leaving you didn’t hurt me? It hurt coming back to get you and finding out you already left!” Kid raised his voice as his anger came bubbling to the surface.
“I’m not supposed to feel like this Y/N this is weakness and pirates aren’t supposed to have that! Dont you get it?! YOU’RE MY WEAKNESS AND I WANT YOU BACK!” You tried to squirm away but Kid pulled you harshly into his chest and held you there.
“Please come back, let’s forget this ever happened. I’m not leaving you ever again angel” Kid whispered into your hair. He sounded genuine, and you could feel your hard self control wearing thin. You inhaled the familiar scent of Kid, and with your sigh you caved and grabbed onto his coat pulling him closer to you. You felt him let out a shaky sigh and he pulled you closer and softened his embrace. That night he held you closer and tighter than he ever had, he showed his full vulnerability to you and he was scared that you would use it against him. But he realized he didn’t have to be afraid of that because he would never give you a reason to leave him ever again, because the only thing he can hold onto, is you.

Phosphene | Damian Wayne
✦ pairing — older!Damian Wayne x Plus Size Reader (she/her)
✦ word count — 6k
✦ summary — Damian’s plans are never bad; one of them even found the cure to your insomnia.
✦ warnings — mentions of the experience of being fat but not in a bad way, hints of angst, insomnia, anxiety, a little jealousy sprinkled there, Damian being petty, mostly fluff; this was an excuse to write Damian fluff.
❖︎・・・・・❖︎・・・・・❖︎・・・・・❖︎
The plan was simple according to Damian, you would have to visit the area where the type of flora the imported species that was causing people to hallucinate lived and wait there until people went to retrieve it in order to catch them.
You had thought he was joking at first, but there were no records left of the shipments that had brought the flower to the country. Without them, catching whoever was behind this would be impossible.
“What if it was your mom again? No offense.”
“None taken.” He swatted a hand. “It wasn’t her, I’ve never seen that type of flower near any of the League’s headquarters.”
“Well, you should take someone else.”
Damian lifted an eyebrow. “Raven will drive me insane, Blue Beetle is unbearable, Beast Boy doesn’t take anything seriously, Flash is...” He saw you wince as he mentioned your ex-boyfriend, “Well, you know how he is.”
“But he’s fast. You could send him on his ow—“
“Absolutely not. I am the leader of this team.”
Ah, yes, you forgot about his stupid pride for a second there. “Cyborg?”
“Busy with The League.”
You groaned. “I will slow you down.”
He now lifted both eyebrows, glaring at you.
“That wasn’t a joke about my weight,” you defended yourself. “I’m... tired.”
“Because you need fresh air and this mission is perfect for that,” he insisted. “It’ll be fun.”
“You hate having fun.”
He ignored your comment. “Don’t make me force you by saying it’s an order.”
You knew he’d never do it. You gave in, everyone around you did so all the time and you weren’t immune to his stubbornness.
The problem with the stupid mission, apart from how drained you felt, was knowing there was nothing you would really contribute. Everything would be easier if Damian would just take Wally, he would save you from endless headaches AND finish the mission quicker.
Damian was already in the living room, waiting for you with his duffel bag in hand and backpack hanging off his broad shoulders. He opened his mouth, about to ask if you hadn’t forgotten anything, when Wally’s voice interrupted.
“Can we talk before you leave?”
You shook your head at Wally’s question. “I would appreciate it if you covered for me with my family, though.”
“We’ll talk when you’re back?”
“Yeah,” you promised. “Be safe.”
“You too.”
Damian pushed the button to summon the elevator, impatient to leave already. You followed him inside as the doors slid open, silently standing beside him.
His glance shifted between the buttons and yourself throughout the elevator ride. He looked like a child who wanted to ask something they knew they shouldn’t.
In your experience, knowing he shouldn’t do or say certain things had never stopped Damian. After three years of being around him almost every day, you were used to his bluntness. You had been told he used to be worse as a teen, but you didn’t really understand what they meant.
Traveling by bus wasn’t something you ever imagined Damian doing. He never had enough time for that, and with the amount of wealth his family had it was also pointless. He had explained it was to go unnoticed with less hassle.
“Are you sure no one will recognize you?”
“Relax.”
Yeah, you wished you could. You had a bad feeling, Damian would dismiss it because you were tired so you kept it to yourself throughout the ride.
As the bus made the first stop, he asked if you wanted anything from the gas station store. Shaking your head, you took time to look out of the window.
As a sheltered kid, you had never been out that much. You had stumbled into being a superhero by mistake, when you discovered you were decent at fighting while at work.
Your family had owned a shop for a while, a client had gotten too aggressive and you broke his nose almost as a reflex. You started training boxing soon after; your mom thought it would be a chance for you to lose weight.
The weight loss didn’t occur, your body type would only change through surgery and you didn’t have the desire to get a procedure. You were fine with your body, and with your personality for the most part.
Something cold fell onto your lap. Looking down, you found your reusable water bottle. When had he snatched it off your backpack?
Damian took his spot next to you. “You look worried.”
You shifted your head to face him, grasping the bottle in your hand so it wouldn’t fall as you shifted your body too. “I’ve never been around nature that much,” you confessed.
“I’m with you.”
That was oddly comforting. Scratch that. It was comforting, period. Damian knew how to do everything, you would trust him with your life and your loved ones’ safety in a heartbeat.
A yawn broke through you. Not now, you thought. Rolling your head to the other side, you rested it on the window, the light would keep you from falling asleep.
Giving in to your exhaustion was tempting, after many long sleepless nights anything would be helpful. You were on a mission, Damian needed you to be alert; that was why you were there, not to fall asleep.
And who even feels the need of falling asleep in a bus but not on the comfort of their bed?
You let the desire of closing your eyes win. Familiar splashes of color appeared against the dark background, slowly fading as they molded with the pitch-black canvas.
Your head bounced as the bus followed what you assumed to be a bumpy road. Your first name was whispered softly, in a tone no one else had ever used. Blinking to adjust to the light, the first things your eyes could make were grey cloth and olive skin.
Lifting your head, you found Damian’s eyes on you. “We are about to arrive.”
”I’m sorry for falling asleep on you.”
He allowed a pause to linger between you. “It’s fine, you said you were tired earlier.”
Rubbing your eyes, avoiding Damian’s face at every cost as you tried to guess what time it was, you found yourself wishing you would’ve bought a watch for these types of scenarios — then again, you weren’t the adventurer from the team.
The place was packed. Couples and families alike were out and about all over the area, Damian had said they would, but you had underestimated how many people he was talking about.
“Wouldn’t it be better if we slept in tents and wore our suits? There’s a lot of people around.”
“That would look more suspicious. We’re here vacationing like everyone else.”
Lifting both hands in mock surrender, you walked past him and into the building.
You let him chose whether he wanted the bed closest to the door or not. He did, throwing his belongings onto the mattress to then pull out a map.
Approaching him, you leaned over to look at what he was seeing. He explained the path you would have to walk through to find the flowers. The hotel was too far away from the area.
“We should sleep. We’re waking up at dawn.”
“I’m not tired anymore,” you assured him.
His eyes lingered on you, silently asking if you were sure. When your only answer was the tilt of your head, he shook his own. “Then rest some more.”
You walked back to your side of the room in order to find some clothes to change into. You hadn’t really packed pajamas, but a pair of leggings and a t-shirt would be enough and had more utility.
You saw Damian pull a pair of sweatpants out from your peripheral view which prompted you to grip your clothes and get into the bathroom so he could have enough privacy.
He was already in bed when you came out, the only light left was the one emanating from the lamp at your right. Dropping the clothes you had taken off into your duffel bag, you turned the lamp off as silently as its switch made it possible.
You laid on the bed with your legs stretched out. The silence, comforting and mildly warm, was your only source of entertainment. It didn’t cross your mind to bring a book or something to pass the time so you would have to make do with your own imagination, the ceiling fan, and the silence.
Exploring the area didn’t sound so bad, but you would attract too much attention by walking around the trees with a flashlight in hand in the middle of the night. Besides, you didn’t know which kind of creatures could be lurking around in the darkness.
You needed a better plan to locate the flowers, and Damian’s permission.
He huffed on his bed. Turning around to lay on his side in hopes to finally fall asleep. He was thankful over the fact that you didn’t need to keep the lights on like Reyes, but frustrated by the fact that he couldn’t sleep anyway.
Groaning, he sat up. “Let’s go for a walk.”
“How did you know I was awake?”
“Your breathing is too even for you to be asleep.”
You sat up on the bed too, looking for your sneakers. Once you had tied the shoes on, you stood up.
Damian threw a sweatshirt on, groaning as his left shoulder cracked.
Seeing you go through your backpack, he placed a hand on your forearm to stop you. “Only bring some water and a flashlight, no knives.”
Quirking an eyebrow, you looked at him through your eyelashes. “You are the one who trained me to use knives.”
“That’s exactly why I know when you should or shouldn’t carry them.” There was a hint of lighthearted teasing in his voice.
Under your feet, the old floor creaked. Walking down the hallway and crossing the lobby had been a cringing nightmare.
The two of you walked in verbal silence, letting the whooshing of the wind and the crickets’ chirping mix with the crushing leaves.
Damian would check the compass from time to time, making sure you were following the right path. The action reminded you of the reason you were there in the first place.
The soothing smell of earth made you feel like you were far away, perhaps in a dream.
Damian burst the soothing bubble by breaking the silence with a question. “Why did you refuse to speak with West?”
“Some things just don’t work out the way we want them to.”
Wally had been a good boyfriend, sweet and goofy. He always cheered you up when you were sad and took you out on cute dates. You had innocently assumed it would be enough forever, how couldn’t it be when he treated you so well?
Sadly, he wasn’t what you wanted in a partner anymore. You wouldn’t call him immature because he definitely wasn’t that; Wally was too... lively, too chirpy, somewhat hyperactive. You needed peace, enough stress knotted your muscles already without the headaches he triggered.
“Sounds like you don’t want them to work.”
“He gets on my nerves sometimes, I think it’s fair to say it doesn’t matter if I want things to work or not.”
“And you wanted me to take him with me instead.”
“He’s better at this than me.”
Damian lifted his bottle of water, lips grazing the edge of it as he said, “You sell yourself too short.”
You opened your water bottle too, shrugging. “He’s the sporty type.”
“I would hope so.”
You laughed against the lip of the bottle, “Why did you ask?”
“I imagined you wouldn’t like to get mauled by a bear without talking to him.”
“Are you saying you will let a bear maul me?”
He turned serious. “You know I would never.”
Silence fell between you again, as comfortable as always.
By the time you arrived at the point where the specific kind of flowers bloomed at, the sky was starting to appear dark blue instead of pitch black.
“Why don’t we steal them and then track whoever comes looking for them?”
“Because we wouldn’t have proof they’re the ones doing it.” Damian added, “But we should be closer, you were right.”
“Say that again?”
Damian rolled his eyes. “Don’t get used to it.”
Smirking, too pleased with yourself to ruin the moment, you asked, “What are we going to do?”
“Have you ever camped?”
You shook your head.
“Okay. Stay here and make sure no one gets close, I’ll make a phone call.”
“I didn’t bring my knives,” you reminded him.
Pinching the bridge of his nose with a hand, he sighed deeply. “You have your fists.”
He walked past you in the direction you had come from together. Before he could be too far away, you called for him, “And if I’m overcrowded?”
He craned his neck backward to give you a smirk. “Choke some of them with your thighs.”
Looking down at your thighs, you frowned. What was that supposed to mean?
You never found out what Damian meant by that. No one came near the area, seemingly due to how early in the morning it was. If you were to steal some flowers, you would personally do it at night when tourists were busy partying or sleeping.
Then again, stealing flowers wasn’t your expertise.
Damian took longer than you felt comfortable with, but he brought yours and his belongings with him alongside a few other things.
In silence, he slanted his head, motioning for you to follow him.
You snatched your duffel bag from his grasp. “What did you do?”
“I bought the camping essentials I found at the store.”
“I told you I’ve never gone camping!”
“I haven’t forgotten. But last night you wanted to sleep in a tent, didn’t you?”
You shook your head. “I said it because I can stay awake for long periods of time.”
“We’ll take turns.”
You would rather not. Camping as a fat person was a no-no. Well, not really, but many factors could ruin the experience for you and in that case for Damian.
The last thing you wanted was to put up his grumpy version.
You avoided him throughout the day, exploring the area near where he insisted on camping.
He really should’ve listened to you and taken someone else. Someone who wouldn’t get nervous. It wasn’t his fault, he couldn’t have known the reasons behind your reluctance.
Calling it insecurity would be reductive when you were comfortable with yourself. It was annoyance over not having control of the circumstances in which you would go camping for the first time.
“I think we should get some sleep,” he said from behind you.
You would only trouble him. There was only one tent, you didn’t know how narrow it would get and for the past four months, there hadn’t been a single night in which you didn’t end up tangled in the sheets over how much you twisted in attempts to find a comfortable position.
Sleep had become elusive even before you broke up with Wally. You tried every treatment in existence with no positive results, there was simply something wrong in your brain.
Damian was sure you wouldn’t come in if he didn’t force you, expecting otherwise would mean not being familiar with your antics. He didn’t want to pressure you, but he wouldn’t be able to sleep knowing you were out there alone.
You could defend yourself rather well, it was irrational on his behalf to be so worried. His brain chose to nag him about it still so he listened to it.
He found you with your feet in the river, looking at the rippling water as you made slow movements with your fingers.
“It’s nice out here,” you commented, feeling his presence.
He hummed softly, taking a seat next to you. It smelled like a proper river, unlike Gotham’s.
“Did you get some sleep?”
“No,” he admitted, using his fingers to make movements in the water too.
“Do you have a lot on your mind?”
“Yes. Do you?”
“No.”
He hummed again. Your peaceful semblance was a nice addition to the scenery, with the moon shining in your eyes.
“I can take care of the morning roundabout if you want.”
“You should sleep a little first. We can set schedules later.”
You could’ve sworn his voice carried worry.
His sloppy steps halted as he held the tent open for you to get in. With a sigh, you complied and kneeled on the sleeping pad. At least he wouldn’t force you into a sleeping bag.
When he didn’t make a move to lay down, you begrudgingly did so. His ability to bend you to his will was annoyingly astounding — or astoundingly annoying, it changed day to day.
Damian immediately laid down next to you, facing the ceiling of the tent.
Your hand brushed his by mistake. “Sorry,” you whispered. Damian didn’t answer, he was already asleep.
❖︎・・・・・❖︎・・・・・❖︎・・・・・❖︎
Mission briefings were everything but fun. Damian’s dry orders always made someone complain — or worse, they sometimes forced the leader to repeat himself.
You were dreading this particular one. Everyone was in a prickly mood due to how much the flower thing was stretching and you could only assume this mission would be part two to stopping whoever was placing the orders.
Damian handed you a large box. Opening it, you found a deep red dress in your size.
“Where are ours?” Jamie asked.
“You are not attending the party as yourselves. (Name) and I will tell you when it’s safe to get in.”
“Why (Name)?”
“Would you prefer I take Raven?” Damian mocked.
Garfield shook his head. “But you don’t need a date to go to a party.”
Wally shifted in his seat.
“You want Bruce Wayne’s son to attend a party by himself without raising suspicion?”
Snorting, you only stared at him in hopes he would give more details. Of course he would say that.
You had to give it to Damian, he had good taste. The dress fitted you perfectly, it hid your thigh holster better than you thought it would when you took it out of the box which was a relief.
He had told you to not carry them, but the knives surely would come in handy if something went wrong.
With his hand on your waist, he guided you into the venue. People, eager to impress him, swarmed around him to compliment him and yourself. Their eyes would linger on you, but you didn’t care about what they could have to say; they wouldn’t dare to say it in front of him either way.
You leaned to speak into his ear, “Have they approached us yet?”
“Let’s dance.”
You both made your way toward the dancing area, inpatient for his answer. There was something off about that place and you couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was.
Now with both hands on you, he leaned forward so only you could listen to him. “Are you uncomfortable?”
“I have a bad feeling.”
His touch turned into a grip as the words left your mouth. Your body responded to it by pressing closer to him, hands firm on his shoulders as you searched for his eyes.
“I’m with you.”
Nodding, you barely mumbled, “I never said I was scared.”
His mouth twitched upward. You tilted your head as his gaze fell on your nose. If his eyes continued the path...
Damian was pushed off you. As a reflex, you withdrew a knife from your holster and pointed it at whoever had interrupted.
“Woah,” Wally exclaimed, “It’s me.”
You turned to look at Damian but he was focused on the railway. A gun went off outside, prompting Wally to run in aid of your friends.
You slipped your knife back into the holster before it would grab anyone else’s attention. It would be hard for Damian to explain why his date had been carrying a weapon and you didn’t want to get him into trouble because you hadn’t listened to him.
Approaching him, you wrapped an arm around his waist. “Did they escape?”
Throwing his arm around your shoulders, he answered with another question, “Are you injured?”
“No.”
If looks could kill, Wally West would’ve fallen dead in the middle of Damian’s office thirty seconds ago. Not only had he made Damian look like a fool, but he had also let Marconi’s men escape.
Loosening his tie, he didn’t even try to control his voice. “What the hell was that?”
“Oh, you’re mad because people might know we are acquainted?”
“I am angry because you almost got (Name) hurt.”
“She’s the one who carried knives!”
Damian inhaled deeply, holding his head higher than usual. “There was no need for you to intervene.”
Wally gritted, “You don’t get to decide that.”
“I am the leader of this team.”
“You were flirting with her.”
Narrowing his eyes, Damian placed both palms on the desk. “I’m going to ask you to leave if you can’t separate your obligations with my team from your personal life.”
“So you weren’t flirting?”
Damian shook his head, exasperated.
He left the office before his head would explode. He was supposed to talk to the others too, but he didn’t want to.
His insomnia was getting worse, between his responsibilities at Wayne Enterprises and the newfound ineptitude of 70% of the team, he was close to combust.
Damian was confident in his leadership, he was more skilled than the team could even imagine. If he wasn’t so fucking tired, he would’ve solved this problem all by himself.
His legs carried him to the bedroom area. He had the intention of taking a shower and trying to get some sleep but they went out of the window when he heard your laugh.
Pushing your door open, he stuck his head inside. You beckoned him in, following his movements with your tired eyes.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
You nodded. “I didn’t hurt myself. And I’m the one who carried the knives...”
Damian set his jaw. Sitting down on your bed, he nodded upward at the TV. “What are we watching?”
“The cooking channel.”
“You hate cooking.”
“I hate following recipes for things that don’t need measurements,” you clarified.
He kicked his shoes off, swinging his legs onto the mattress as he rested his back against the bed frame.
Knowing he wasn’t a fan of cooking shows that didn’t entail some type of competition, you surfed through the channels in search of something that wouldn’t warrant you a whiny Damian.
His whining was fun, but you were too tired to not punch him. Remembering what you had wanted to ask since he entered, you breathed in. “Did you fight with Wally for not following your orders?”
“Something like that.”
His dry tone made you shift so you could gaze at him. Apart from his tiredness, he looked really angry still — the frown hadn’t disappeared from his face, his clenched jaw could’ve popped in front of you and you wouldn’t be surprised.
“We’ll catch them.”
Damian stared at you for a prolonged moment, mapping out the shape of your nose and how sunk your eyes were. Your blinking slowed down to a passive rhythm and he felt himself focusing on his own rhythm to mirror yours.
You bit down your bottom lip, gnawing on it. Stretching his hand, he stopped you from drawing blood by pulling your lip out with his thumb. He breathily concurred, “Yeah.”
Your eyes followed the movement of his hand as he withdrew it. Silently handing him the tv remote, you laid on your side, curled up as you went back to stare at the tv screen.
Damian allowed his body to relax as he skipped channels. Growing bored, he switched to Netflix.
You sighed deeply beside him, humming to yourself. He turned the lights off, then the TV.
Harsh knocking against the door woke him up. Looking down at the weight on his chest, he felt his breath hitch.
Whoever was knocking got fed up and forced the door open themselves. “Hey, (Nickname), have you seen Rob—“
Damian placed a finger against his lips, motioning for Raven to shut up.
She nodded enthusiastically, surprised by the tenderness of Damian’s touch as he lifted your head off his chest and placed it onto the pillow.
He left the bed slowly, picking his shoes from the floor and using them to gesture for Rachel to leave the room. He followed her, putting his shoes on once away from your bedroom.
“Did you need me?”
“Is there something going on between—“
Damian cut her off, “You were looking for me. Tell me what for.”
“Victor found a lead.”
Your bedroom door creaked open. Damian turned around to see you tumbling towards the kitchen, undoubtedly in need of some caffeine.
Glaring at Raven, he ordered, “Tell everyone to get ready.”
❖︎・・・・・❖︎・・・・・❖︎・・・・・❖︎
Damian deviated his eyes to the side in order to rest them, placing a bookmark on the page. Logan was soundly asleep, with his head against the window like you had been that time on the bus.
He remembered vividly the tremble in his fingers as he moved your head to rest on his shoulder so you would be more comfortable, and the way his heart skipped a beat when you sighed contently against his skin.
Turning to the other side, he saw your hunched over form, hovering over the small table in front of you. How you could have the patience to fill a coloring book in the middle of a flight after such a tiring fight was a mystery.
Wally beside you caught him staring, again.
Damian thought he couldn’t dislike the mission more; oh, how wrong had he been. First, he hadn’t been able to bend the plans this time, the only thing he could do was give orders and split the team in the most efficient manner.
And it had worked, but at the cost of his sleeping pattern getting worse. The mission served two purposes, the first was obvious; the second one was more complicated, he came to a few conclusions — they made all the sense in the world in his opinion, but sense wouldn’t change the fact that he couldn’t sleep without you.
There was something in the heady smell of your shampoo that his monkey brain found soothing. He needed to sneak into your bathroom and check which brand you used. Or ask you. Yeah, that.
You were probably making up with your ex-boyfriend while he longed for sleeping next to you. And he hated it.
Moving your head left to right as you scratched your itchy nose, you found yourself wafting Wally’s sweet cologne.
Wally awkwardly nodded upward. The two of you hadn’t spoken much throughout the mission. You nodded back before scratching your nose again.
“Bored?”
Looking down, you shook your head. It wasn’t even worth mentioning at this point, or feeling some kind of shame for it — what embarrassed you was the conclusion you had come to a few mornings ago.
You couldn’t sleep without Damian. There was something about him, maybe his stillness, that relaxed you to the point of being able to sleep eight hours. Your pre-insomnia self had never slept more than five.
“Then?”
“Lots in my mind. I’m worried about—“
“Robin.”
You whirled your head to look at him, wide-eyed.
“I’m not surprised.” Hurt laced his hushed voice. “There’s always been something going on between you two.”
“That’s not true. And I’m worried about a lot of things.”
“He’s been staring at you the entire mission, he hates me, you said you didn’t trust Alexis and he broke up with her, you always give him the benefit of the doubt when his ideas are bad... I could go on and on.”
“Well, Damian’s ideas are never truly bad...”
“You call him Damian.”
“So?”
“No one else from the team does. He’s Robin to us, we are our superhero aliases to him and nothing else.”
“It’s not like you guys have ever tried to see him differently!” Your indignant whisper-shout surprised you while Wally hadn’t even flinched.
He hung his head backward. “You’re defending him again.”
“He’s my friend.”
“Is that why you worry about him to the point of no sleep? Because I know you never cared about me that way.”
“I don’t like what you’re insinuating.”
“I’m not saying you didn’t love me, I know you did.” Wally gave you a sad smile, “But if I made you choose, you would pick him.”
“I wouldn’t pick someone who makes me choose between them or a dear friend.”
Shaking your head in frustration, you picked another marker and went back to your coloring book.
He had been the first relationship you took seriously, the first person you had truly loved in a romantic sense. How could he say those things? Even if they were true, they were uncalled for.
Wally leaned closer to you. “I won’t get mad, just stop lying to yourself.”
You were the first one to leave the plane after landing. Wally’s words made all the sense in the world, that didn’t mean you wanted them to.
No. The truth was that you wanted them to make sense and that bothered you more. You wanted to believe you weren’t the only one in a dilemma.
A stupid dilemma at that. Damian was your friend, you could tell him you needed him in an entirely platonic way — it would be a nice compromise and a pathetic cop-out at once.
Damian placed a hand on your shoulder as you passed him on your way to the living area. “Can you come to my office?”
“Just let me check my phone.”
Nodding, he slowly slid his hand back until it fell onto your arm for a fleeting second before he withdrew it.
Your skin buzzed the entire time it took you to answer texts from your family. Now that the mission was over, you would be able to see them — and to put up with their reaction to your break up with Wally.
Telling them that you had feelings for someone else wasn’t an option, and explaining it was Bruce Wayne’s son would make you sound insane to them.
Sat directly on his desk, with his cellphone in his grasp and frown upon his face, Damian was waiting for you.
From the doorway, you asked, “Are you okay?”
He didn’t look up. “No.”
The answer took you aback. Without invitation, you entered the office. Closing the door behind you, —carelessly and louder than you would’ve liked— you approached him.
He looked fine. Tired, but fine. You knew for a fact he hadn’t been injured, and the mission had been a success so his crankiness was worrying, to say the least.
“Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like I’m worried?” You saw him nod. “Do you want me to scoop my eyes out?”
“Do you look at other people like that?”
“Yes.”
Damian huffed.
“What’s your problem?”
“Nothing.”
“Stop acting like a brat with me, Damian.”
He put his cellphone to the side, finally lifting his head.“Is that really what you want?”
“Preferably. Your act, whatever thing you come up with on the next minutes, won’t push me away.”
“You are driving me absolutely insane!” He wiped his mouth after having spoken so abruptly. “You distract me, I can’t sleep without you next to me, your stupid ex-boyfriend being so close to you killed me the entire mission—“
“Three days?”
He glared at you. You said it so easily, like three nights of no sleep and headaches were pleasant.
You rested a hand on each of his shoulders. “I can’t sleep without you either.”
He opened his legs for you to stand between them. You did so, feeling his hands on your lower back. “Is this awkward?”
Shaking your head, you wrapped your arms around his neck. “We’ve been in more awkward situations.”
His arms snaked around you, pulling you flush against him. You inhaled the smell that lingered on his clothes, vanilla and almonds with a hint of something earthy.
“Couldn’t you tell me this in my room? Or yours?”
Damian rested his head on your shoulder. “I wasn’t going to tell you.”
“What did you want?”
“To keep you from spending more time with West,” he mumbled the admission.
You shouldn’t have found it so funny, but there you were shaking out of laughter.
He whined against your neck, “Don’t laugh at me.”
You slipped your fingers into his hair, massaging his scalp. “It’s silly, though, he’s my teammate.”
“And your ex-boyfriend who wants you back.”
“Not anymore.” Feeling him tense under your touch, you elaborated, “He knows I like you.”
Damian’s embrace tightened. He hummed on your skin, nuzzling against your t-shirt. You played with his hair for a few more minutes until he started to get heavier against you.
“Don’t fall asleep,” you warned.
He hummed again.
“Damian,” you tried to make your voice come out sternly, but you couldn’t bring yourself to be harsh. “You’ll wake up sore. At least let’s go to the living room.”
Reluctantly, he pulled away from you. He couldn’t contain a whine as your fingers slid off his hair, making you giggle. He grabbed said hand, practically dragging you out of the office.
Thankful for not bumping into anyone, you made it to his bedroom. You imagined he had stopped there because it was the closest one to his office.
He didn’t let go of your hand as he sat down on the bed and kicked his shoes off. You had to wiggle your fingers off his to round the bed and lay down without pulling him with you.
As soon as your back touched the bed, Damian rested his head on your chest, sliding his hand between the mattress and your back.
Your fingers went back to his hair, which was what he had been seeking in the first place, massaging circles on his scalp. It didn’t take much for his breath to even out.
When you woke up, Damian was laying on his side, hugging you tightly from behind with his other arm. His light breathing fanned on your shoulder, tickling up to your neck.
Torn between leaving the bed to follow your routine and staying in the comfortable position against his chest, you shuffled as slowly as you could until you were facing him.
Damian had never looked that serene. Anyone who didn’t know him would have assumed he didn’t have a single responsibility or weight on his shoulders if they could see him at that moment with his mouth ever so slightly parted.
Your heavy eyes lid closed. You weren’t sure as to what time it was, you only knew that the light of the day was gone already, but the comfort of Damian’s frame and his light breathing was better than anything you had to do.
Nestling your face on his chest, you felt his hand move down your back.
Sleepily, he said. “We could go out to dinner.”
His deep voice made you feel more awake. Draping an arm over his torso, you joked, “Are you asking me out?”
Now with his hand on your thigh, he spoke more seriously. “More than that. But first things first.”
You hummed. As nice as it sounded, you didn’t want to get up.
Damian pinched your thigh. “Come on, I’ll give you an excuse to wear the red dress again.”
You lifted your head off his chest. “Do you have a fixation with that dress or something?”
“I mean, I bought it for a reason...”
You playfully hit his chest. He smirked, fingers trailing up your thigh, giving you goosebumps.
You sighed, “Do you think the team will say anything?”
“It’s not like I care.”
You knew he cared deep down, but fighting him on it would be losing your time. It wouldn’t affect him either way, not like it would to you if they looked at you differently or judged you.
Damian left a kiss on your forehead. “I’m with you,” he reminded you.

Zone II | Changbin
Scenario; now a mini series Pairing: Changbin x reader Summary: You decide to wash off the past half an hour and take some time for yourself. Yeah no, that’s not gonna go to plan. Warning: Soft dom!Changbin, shower sex, slight praise kink, slight arm/muscle kink, oral (m receiving), fingering, slightly rough, aftercare fluff at the end - Smut 16+
A/n: Part 1 here - thank you all for 500+ notes and for being so patient with me for getting the next part up! Chan is up next but I have a few other fics in the works so it might be a little while. I love you! (listened to Aphrodite by RINI) Words: 2,668
Well… that was fun. You closed the door once Chan had left. You didn’t bother locking it. Chan and Changbin both knew you were in the bathroom and weren’t the type to barge in anyway. You didn’t worry about Jisung since the boy had practically bolted out the door when he saw you. You stripped down, grateful for the fresh clothes from Changbin. Flashes of what had happened moments prior flooded your mind as if being saved in your memory. They played out like a highlight reel, interrupted only when you noticed his masterpiece in the mirror. Your collarbones were painted black and blue but you weren’t complaining. They would be easy enough to hide until they healed, and oddly enough you liked the feeling. You weren’t necessarily someone who wanted to be claimed but you liked the idea that he wanted you to be his, even if it was only for one night. That’s when the soft smile that had crept onto your face fell. Shit. What was going to happen now? In the heat of the moment you hadn’t quite had the time to contemplate whether or not it was a good idea to sleep with Changbin or what the aftermath of the whole situation would be. Chan’s reaction seemed like he thought it was inevitable. Maybe it was. You never really considered whether or not either of you were in the friend zone, which now seems like a clear indicator that, in fact, neither of you had been. It had naturally progressed to this point. It’s too late to go back now anyway. The line had been crossed and now you had to figure out where you would go from here. Would you go back to normal? Like it never happened? Was this the start of a relationship or was some kind of dating phase supposed to follow this? All you knew was that you didn’t want Changbin to walk out of your life after this. That, and that friends with benefits would only end with one or both of you hurt. You finally realised you’d been staring into space for awhile now and your body had formed goosebumps upon your skin. Standing around naked wasn’t going to help with anything, so you turned on the shower and put on some music to drown out your thoughts; just loud enough so you could hear it over the stream of hot water you were stepping into. You let the water wash the embarrassment away, revelling in the pleasure you felt not too long before. So what that he was your friend? So what you crossed a line? If movies taught you anything, being awkward about it would just make things worse. Just enjoy the moment and let things happen naturally- You felt a slight chill replaced by warmth. The glass door had been shut again. A pair of arms wrap around you. You unconsciously smiled as his lips pressed a soft kiss to your shoulder before resting his chin on top. You felt yourself relax into him and ignore the thought that surfaced; you could get used to this. His voice broke through the background noise that the water and music created. “You didn’t lock the door.” His sounded sleepy and relaxed. Maybe he was enjoying this just as much as you were. Having you in his arms- you couldn’t afford to think like that. Stop. “The only people home knew I was in the shower. Didn’t feel the need to.” You hummed and felt him slightly nod. He began to shift his body weight from one foot to the other. You were swaying gently, the coverage of the water moving up your body and back down again. You closed your eyes, feeling soothed by the momentum. Up and back, up and back. You were like this for awhile. Changbin hummed among to the music playing from your phone and you relaxed into his hold even more. The whole moment was calming and this time you didn’t push away the thought that you could stay like this forever. You were content, listening to the melody falling from his lips and the feeling of his thumb rubbing comfortingly against your skin. It was perfect. Then the song changed. The song that came on had a strong base and sensual vibe, unintentionally changing the atmosphere around you. Soon enough, Changbin’s lips were dragging across your skin again. The contacted slowly began to melt you, more so when he began to kiss your shoulders and the base of your neck. Then something clicked. There was a way to get your answer. To figure out what you wanted from this. What you wanted to happen. You turned around slowly and held his face in your hands. His arms stayed wrapped around your waist. His eyes never left yours. You just stood like that for awhile, letting your gaze fall once or twice lower, to his lips. He closed his eyes and you followed suit. The kiss was much like the first of the night, as was the next few that followed. He was soft and warm, gentle and sweet, enjoying the feeling of your lips against his. His lips were just as plush as the looked, molding perfectly to yours. You broke part for a few seconds to catch your breath, foreheads testing against one another. He made the first move again, moving his hand to the back of your head and reconnecting his lips to yours. It felt right, as he deepened the kiss. Your hands slowly fell, resting near the base of his neck as you let him take the lead. It didn’t take long for him to act on the building tension. His hand left the base of your neck and snaked down below. The circling of his finger on your clit making you hum, growing into a soft moan when he plunged it into your core. He slowly pumped in and out, locking lips to swallow your moans. Chan was still nearby and you could do without him hearing this time around. You began to feel your high build, biting your swollen lips. Changbin did the same to maintain the effort of his fingers once he began drilling into you. You cling onto his shoulders for dear life. He was doing anything but slowing down. He lifted one of your legs with his free arm, the muscle visibly flexing. The new angle allowed him to add an extra finger. You had no chance of staying silent now. You pulled back only for a second to look him in the eyes. He was beautiful in this moment. His orbs were glazed over with pure lust. The water running over his torso made him glisten. His damp hair drenched by the glow of water from above. He held you tightly in his grip, keeping you in place as he strived to bring you to your high. You would remember him like this. The concentration and passion consuming him, his sole focus on you. He stole a kiss to keep you quiet while he moved within you. In another timeline, you imagine this would be the moment you fell in love. Not to long after, you were broken out of this trance. Your body reacting to the feeling of his thumb being added to your clit again brought you back to reality. Your mind was now instead clouded by the euphoric feeling. You could feel your high approaching. You looked back at Changbin to see he was now looking straight back at you. He was drinking in the sight of you, a mess under his control. You were having trouble staying quiet, about to give up when his lips reconnected with yours for a second time. A strange feeling you couldn’t place was bubbling within and sent you ever the edge. You became hyper aware of your surroundings. The feeling of the warm water on your body and how it was nowhere near as warm as his skin. His fingers were still inside you, helping you ride out your high as he continued to kiss you. You relaxed into him as the feeling faded. The warmth he provided remained. He gently placed your leg to the ground, slightly afraid when you immediately fell to your knees. You looked up at him with a flirtatious smile as your hands trailed up his legs. He finally caught on to what you had in mind. You reached his member and took it in your mouth. You swallowed around his head, moving further down, with the excess in your hand, flickering your eyes back to his as you pulled back. He was barely able to look at you through his lashes. The pleasure your mouth brought was consuming him, his breath growing heavy. As you moved closer, your tongue zigzagged along his under side. He couldn't hold his own anymore. He was weak for you, the power you had over him proving too much. He knitted his fingers in your hair, holding himself up with his other hand against the wall. His groans were low and airy, just enjoying your movements. The new sense of confidence and power his current demeanour gave you only encouraged the need to make him cum. It made you feel good, like he was only like this for you. You weren’t sure if that was true but the look on his face was enough to doubt anything on the contrary. Right now, only you could make him feel this way. At this point in time, it was just the two of you. You were the only two people in the world.
You pulled back and suckled on the head. He hissed and looked at you again, a smile playing on his lips quickly interrupted by a moan as you swiftly moved back down his shaft. You did this a few more times before you decided you wanted to tip him over the edge. Your other hand came up from the cold tiles to cup his balls. He hissed again, this time a reaction to the contrast of your cold hands. You massaged them a little, still taking him almost fully, looking up at him through your lashes. The look on his face was pure insanity and ecstasy. He was losing it, all because of you. You liked that. This time you had the upper hand. Then, as you so painfully slowly pulled back, letting your tongue dance along the underside of his shaft, you saw it. It was a flicker and it was hot as hell. You saw the moment he snapped. His hand suddenly gain strengthen and pushed you down unto him again. You gaged when you hit the base of his cock, his full length roughly hitting the back of your throat. The grunt that escaped his lips was full of lust. His eyes found yours and he quickly began fucking your mouth. He barely let you breathe as he slammed into you at an inhumane pace. His enjoyment of shoving himself halfway down your throat was more than clear, more so when you clung to his legs for stability. You wanted him to come, even if it meant you’d have a sore throat the next morning. You began to become desensitised to the feeling, focusing on the hot water that hit your skin, creating streams as it ran down your body. You were brought back into the moment when the dirty talk came into play. “How does it feel baby? You like my cock in your mouth? You like the feel of me half way down your throat, huh? Your pretty little mouth looks so good from here.” You felt yourself get wet again at the words. You were grateful for the hot water being there to soothe you. He liked the power play, too. “You want to taste my cum, baby? You’ve been such a good girl.” You moaned around him at the praise, feeling his cock twitch at the sensation.
“You feel so good, baby. Fuck.” His praised spurred you on, moaning around him, again.
“Fuck, I’m— oh fuck” you had him speechless. You knew he was letting you know he was close. You couldn’t wait to taste him. You never usually felt this way, especially when it came to swallowing. It seemed like Seo Changbin was an exception to many things in your life, but were you complaining? Soon after, your mouth was painted white. You let him have a few more messy pumps down your throat before you moved up and off his shaft. Your lips gathering every last drop of his cum. You opened your mouth so he could see before you swallowed, showing him again to prove how much of a good girl you were. “Fuck, that’s so hot.” He muttered. He helped you back onto your feet, taking your chin between his fingers as he shared a long, passionate kiss with you. This one felt different. There was more emotion. Genuine feeling. It wasn’t a ‘thank you’ or sexually driven in any way. It just felt good. When the kiss broke, he looked at you a little longer than usual, moving the hair stuck to your face back into place before taking you in his arms. You rested their for awhile, the two of you gently swaying under the warm water again, content in one another’s embrace. Fuck. You weren’t falling for him, right?... After awhile, the water was turned off. A towel was placed around your shoulders. A kiss was pressed to your forehead. You dried yourself off and changed into the clothes Changbin had given you a little while ago. Changbin had left you to your own devices. It was kind of cute that he wanted to respect your privacy despite already seeing you naked twice in one night. He really was a sweet and genuine guy. He made you laugh, feel safe, feel like you could be yourself. Maybe your friendship turning into something more wasn’t such a bad thing. You went back to his room to find he had already packed everything up for the night. You didn’t miss that he turned over the sheets on the side of bed he didn’t sleep on. “Am I staying the night?” He was over by his dresser, fiddling with his phone which he almost dropped once he realised he was no longer alone. You smiled as he quickly recovered it, turning to look at you as he choked out “only if you want to” followed by “I-I’d like you to stay.” That was all you needed. You crawled into bed, taking a sip of the fresh glass of water he had thoughtfully put out for you. His smile was wider than a Cheshire Cat as he got in beside you. A small amount of meaningless small talk was made as you both laid down and pulled up the covers. He told you there was no word from your tutor, so you were better to stop work for the night. You heard the front door open and a lot of loud chatter fill the apartment just as he turn the lights out. Changbin giggled beside you. “What?” You whispered. “Nothing,” he replied, “Just that I’d told them we’d be working all night. Turns out it we ended up working on something else...” You hit his hand that was securely around your waist in a playful matter, giggling along with him. “They’ll be surprised to see me tomorrow morning.” “We can just tell them we pulled an all nighter, if you... or we could actually do it.” You knew exactly what he was insinuating with that tone of voice. Two rounds was enough, thank you, and you were quite exhausted. You just giggled at his playful remark. You naturally melted into him as you began to lose consciousness. The last thing you felt was a kiss being pressed against your shoulder followed by a whispered ‘good night’.

Would you maybe write something about a scenario where Em and Colson are hate fucking and Em never spends the night, but on a particular occasion, Colson is super sad/stressed and (while trying desperately to hide it) starts crying from the idea of Em leaving, so he stays and is really sweet? (Also, sorry if I went this twice–my computer's being really weird and I can't tell if it did it already!)
This isn't perfect but!! Everybody is on an angst kick and I wanted to join in so I'm using this ask 😤😤
They aren't dating.
Marshall's cock is drilling in and out of Colson's ass but that doesn't mean they're together.
It wasn't supposed to escalate to this. He's not supposed to be manhandling a stupidly long leg up in the air or swatting away the other man's helpful hands while he switches their position for the 3rd time. Hips never stopping their rapid punching forward to draw out more and more curses.
Paul wanted them to mend their beef. Come to a mutual ground of disdain at the minimum. Not bash heads together so many times over their short meeting they end up in bed together instead. Teeth and fists completely changing their plan of attack.
"F-fuck! Right there-" Marshall's definitely not supposed to be watching this annoying twink throw his long neck back and whine. Colorful arms stretching up above him to uselessly grapple onto the pillow behind his own head. "Please!"
This wasn't supposed to be the 10th or 12th time they did this.
"Shut up-" his voice is scratchy when it should be calm. "The whole floor is gonna hear you-" Paul thinks they're here mending bridges and discussing a feature.
"Then fuck me right-" Colson's voice is just as rough sounding. Marshall hates that he knows the difference between the twink's usual tone and this ruined one. How it will only get this way after he's forced his cock down the brat's throat one too many times in their foreplay. "L-learn- ah- where to stick it without directions dude!"
"Shut up." He's bruising Colson's thighs now. The dark red indents from his fingers are going to turn purple by the morning. Not that he's ever seen them do it in person at least, but the blonde never fails to send a picture over text every morning after. "Maybe if you tightened your pussy up we'd both have more fun."
Colson's chest is arching from his harder thrusts now. Voice climbing a little higher almost mockingly with each moan as he slams to the hilt.
Marshall wants to kiss him. Smother that annoyingly pretty mouth with his lips but it's not possible. Not in this position where the other man's unnecessarily large stature puts him so out of reach.
That's a good thing though, because they really don't need to be kissing. A few heated pecks here and there to get the blood pumping is one thing, making out while he fucks the blonde speechless almost feels too intimate to consider.
Theres no space for that in these brief hook ups from hotel room to hotel room, not when they still hate eachother too much for any of the burning heat they have between them to simmer down into a comfortable warmth.
"Stupid whore." His lips are pulling back in almost a snarl this time when he forces Colson over onto his stomach instead. Cock slipping free and almost losing the condom he's got slipped over it from just how quickly he pulls out. Like Colson's hole is challenging his accusation of looseness. "Fuck-" he just wants to smother the brats face down into the pillows. He tells himself his anger isn't from not being able to reach.
An impatient yank and the condoms tearing. Leaving Marshall all but ready to go put his clothes back on and storm out. There's a nasty swirl of emotions going on inside his stomach that he really doesn't want to risk bursting while they find and put on a replacement.
"W-what're you waiting for?" Colson's back is arching, and that pale mop he calls hair is lifting up to look back. So needy he can't even pause for one minute.
"Fucking condom broke- just, shit, just give me a minute-" Marshall doesn't even know where to look, not with all the blood pooling in his cock and his focus begging to be set on his rivals waiting body.
Colson put the thing on him, he can remember that much, one of those prissy little manicured nails probably scratching the elastic as he did it. He's sure he must have one in his wallet but that's across the room in his sweats, by the bathroom door. Where Colson's impatience about even waiting to let him finish his piss and get undressed had left him falling back into the door.
If he has to walk all the way over there to get it he might as well just go home.
"Forget it. I'm done." They shouldn't be fucking like this anyway. It's a major mistake.
"What?" Colson's fingers curling around his wrist is a new sensation. The wide look to his half hidden eyes punching something deep within Marshall's stomach. "We haven't even come yet-" there's a hint of hysteria in the blonde's tone and smile. "If it's because of what I said then- t-then I'll bite the fucking pillow or something alright? Don't be so dramatic dude-"
"I don't have another condom-" It's a weak excuse, they both know Colson evidently has some somewhere in the room of his own. But Marshall needs to take this brief chance to get out now before he loses it. The longer Colson stares at him the more nauseous that feeling bubbling up has him.
"...Forget it then-" the blonde's finally looking away, almost convincing Marshall that he's also second guessing this sex. But those long delicate fingers are still clutching onto his wrist and there's a palpable silence cutting through the air so thick he feels like he might choke before Colson's baby blues are meeting his head on once again. The shimmer of anxiety impossible to hide between long bangs. "Just do it raw. I-I'm clean and I- you- fuck," there's shame mixing in the look now, the grip the blonde has doubling down when Marshall reflexively tries to pull back. "Don't…."
Go. Don't go. Colson isn't saying it but Marshall can hear the word clear as day between them.
It's about the sex. He isn't satisifed yet. If Colson had cum already the bastard wouldn't be hesitating to kick him out. That's what Marshall's mind screams to reassure himself but there's still a hollow place in his stomach where he feels gutted by the look.
"...f-Fine." He tries to justify staying by remembering how annoying and painful blueballs can be. "But don't fucking text me tomorrow whining how my jizz is still leaking out of your ass."
His free hand settling back down on Colson's hip finally snaps whatever weird fog has blanketed the room. A forced sounding snicker muffling itself against the pillows while Colson's legs readjust to raise his ass. "If you can even get back inside without nutting old man-"
This kind of banter is more comfortable.
"Keep talking, I'm gonna fuck you until you're crying for me to finally finish."
"You wish." Colson's voice is still muffled but the slight challenging swing of his hips says more than enough.
Marshall's fingers instantly find their previous spot, each digit mirroring the small red dots on the opposite side of the younger rapper's skin.
The lubes still nearby on the bed luckily, allowing him to be quick as he reslicks his achingly hard cock and squirts an extra dollop directly on his partner's hole for good measure. As much as he loves hurting the punk doing so in this way would only cause them both more trouble.
"F-fuck-" Of course Colson's as tight as a vice when he finally tries to push inside. The tight ring of muscle rejecting his entry just as vehemently as he's sure the boy's heart would. They can't do anything pain free, like the world is punishing them for continuing their facade. "Relax-"
"Thought you said I was too loose?" Marshall can practically hear that smug little smirk Colson's sporting.
Defiantly his hips jerk forward a bit harder, until the blonde actually does cry out and his legs spread the tiniest bit wider. The tight clench Colson has evidently been giving his hole relaxing instantly to let him breach. A string of curses and clawing hands keeping Marshall from fully basking in the incomparable tight heat slowly engulfing his cock.
Even with a pillow clutched close against his face Colson is loud. Each noise climbing alongside his pace as he starts properly fucking his rival yet again. Until they're almost back up at full throttle and Colson's mesmerizing back is arching, a large hand jerking up to plant itself flat against the headboard. "Fuck, fuck, please, just like that Marsh, god- baby d-don't stop-"
The slip of a nickname doesn't escape Marshall's notice, he's just too focused on chasing down his own pleasure to properly care. Once they're done he'll mention it. Or maybe even just wait until tomorrow to text the brat a reminder, but for right now he keeps pumping his hips. Heart warming uncontrollably at the mere joke of being someone Colson can call baby.
Reflexively his palm claps down hard on the other man's ass, too sharply and sudden to do anything but sting. "Ah, f-fuck!" He's taking his anger at his own feelings out on Colson and it's not fair but he can't help himself.
The red imprint of his hand glares back in his vision long after a kinky smack should have faded and just the sight of it sticking around gets Marshall's pace growing a little erratic. He wants to tear the blonde apart, shred every bit of his being to pieces and then sew it all back together to see the taint his touch has created visualized as hundreds of scars. He wants to sully the blinding beauty he sees everytime they meet and everytime he glimpses back at the bed before he leaves. Just ruin Colson completely so that there's no other choice but him in the whole world for the blonde to turn to.
But he's not falling in love.
That would mean he's stupid enough to fall for someone who could never settle for him. That he's actively continuing to come back and push the bar with every hookup just to see when enough is enough and he'll finally be left on the otherside of the hotel room door. Or the one waking up alone in bed the morning after.
Marshall wouldn't.
"S-shit wait- I-" Colson's hips are stuttering back to meet his, the hand he's still got hugging the pillow abandoning it in favor of stuffing down between his legs. It's obvious the blonde's close. Marshall can feel it in the tight grip around his cock and hear it in that shaky voice. It's not until he doubles down to fuck the younger rapper hard enough to knock his slender body inch by inch further up the bed that Marshall realizes he's trying to hold out. "N-not yet, ah, fuck, s-slow down-"
"No-" he's close himself, chest heaving and balls tightening as it is. There's no way he's letting Colson try to change the pace now. "Save, fuck, save that edging shit for after I leave-" he's lashing out for control again but can't stop himself.
This time instead of pinching pale skin Marshall slides his fingers up into sweaty blonde hair. Yanking back until he's got the man's back arched perfectly and his mouth can seal in a bite to one pointy shoulderblade. Fingers snaking around to hold Colson up there by his throat. "Fucking take it like a good whore and come Kelly."
In this position he feels unbelievably deeper and there's nothing to block out the blonde's gasps and cries.
Nails scratch quickly along his thigh but Marshall ignores them to keep rolling his hips. The need to make Colson finish first fueling his free hand to climb up to knock away the punks own. Quickly jerking up and down over the soaked cock the other man was trying so hard to squeeze and restrict.
"N-no, no, fuck, Marshall-" a hand's curling around the back of his head to pull him close despite Colson's protests. Every atom in the other males body seeming to reach out and beg and plead for him to come closer, to fuck him harder until they split through the magnetic field and combine into one. Marshall wants to kiss him again. Hates how he can't even see the brats mouth over his shoulder from his current position. His fingers fly faster and hips roll up firmer in retaliation. "F-fuck-"
There's a wet sob breaking the moans in the air, piercing straight through his chest like a bullet while Colson's hips stutter back and hot release paints across his fingers. Sending him right over the edge himself. Body forcing them both forward so he can hump and grind his pelvis against Colson's ass down to the bone while he pumps and fills the twink up with his own release. The hands around his neck and cock turning into strong arms around the blonde's chest and waist like a hug.
It's the closest thing to a cuddle Marshall will allow himself. That he can't actually prevent his orgasming body from resisting.
There's so much comfort and begging from his body to stay like that, for Colson to never leave him in those moments that the rapper can't help but tear up a little himself.
But just as quickly as its come sensibility returns and with it the guilt and shame. Scaring his arms free and his body away from Colson's usually still trembling form.
"Wait-" fingers are grabbing his wrist again, weaker this time.
Marshall's still buried to the hilt, even though his chest has unstuck itself from Colson's museum print of a back tatt. Sorry is dancing on the tip of his tongue. Like it always does. Always too graceful to ever trip up and spit out though before he finally leaves.
"A-again." Colson's face is still buried in the pillow, eyes and nose planted firmly down while his chins pulled up.
"What?" A second round isn't completely crazy for them, sometimes when the anger is hot enough its even necessary but not tonight. Marshall shouldn't even be humoring the request, not with how fragile his emotions feel, but Colson's hand refuses to let go.
"Fuck me. Please. Just-" Now with his head clearing the rapper can finally notice how Colson's shoulders are turning inwards, how the tone of his voice carries a shake. "Do whatever. I-I dont care. Just don't- fuck, d-don't-"
Go.
Leave. He has to leave.
"Colson?" The name feels strange in Marshall's mouth from all the "kelly"'s "brats" and other derogatory words he usually uses in it's place.
Wet baby blues peering back all but pin him in place whether he wants to leave or not. Their message clear.
"Please." A single word and it's as effective as a sledgehammer around his heart.
"I-" Can't. Shouldn't. "I'm not hard anymore."
On a normal night that kind of obvious embarrassed blurt of an answer would get the kid smiling, one of those rare soft warm looks where his crows feet and gums showed, that scorched Marshall's skin from how brightly it radiated affection. Each chuckle or snort following just another stone slamming hard against his heart.
Tonight Colson doesn't smile. Instead of crinkling at the corner to flash the only hint at Colson's slow aging those lashes drop just low enough to bubble up the small collection of tears already present. His pretty but thin lips quivering up and down to fight back a frown.
A year ago this exact look was the center of so many fantasies. He had wanted nothing more than to see the blonde crumble and break apart in front of him like a pathetic mess.
Right now instead of satisfaction all Marshall's body feels is hollow. Like his heart has finally abandoned his chest and surrendered itself to the hopefully quick acting acids of his stomach. The rapper doesn't think he can possibly feel worse but then Colson's arching his body away from him. Slipping his soft cock free of that lingering tight heat and stealing away any trace of faux comfort he feels with every centimeter of separating skin.
"I'll take care of it-" Colson's voice is hoarse, like hes fighting down the threat of a sob while his body twists onto its side. The sluggish lift of a hand back towards his cock piercing through him like a killing blow.
"No." Now his throat feels tight too. Shame and guilt pouring down his spine at the thought of Colson pushing through his obvious pain and turmoil to jerk his cock back to life just so he stays a few moments longer.
"Please-" Baby blue eyes are shining at Marshall again. The fast slip of a tear down one flushed cheek only making his fingers dig harder into younger male's wrist. "Marshall-"
He can't do this.
"No-"
"Yes!" Colson's scream pierces the silence so suddenly he thinks his wars might be ringing. But the pure desperation painted in angry eyes keeps Marshall's own from flinching all the way closed. "I'll fucking find you viagra or- or suck your dick until my jaws sore-" now Colson's own fingers are cutting back, prying at the preventative grip he's got on the blonde's hand like a caged animal might. "I don't care what- just- you- you aren't- you can't-"
It hurts, and with the way Colson's legs are twitching beneath him Marshall knows a kick or knee to his gut might come next. None of it compares to how badly his throat tears when he speaks though. "I'm not fucking you!" Somehow he manages to put every ounce of finality in his voice that he intends. Freezing Colson's grappling and rambling in an instant.
The ensuing silence feels deafening.
Colson's still staring at him. Pain and anger warring across his face in small twitches and ticks. Marshall's mouth just repeats itself. Quieter this time. The heave if his lungs breaking up his words in tight exhales. "I'm not….I….I'm not going to fuck you."
There's a million more words tangling on his tongue. The order jumbling and backing them up like a traffic jam until he feels like he can't even breathe anymore.
I want to stay. I'm sorry. Dont do this to yourself. Please. Don't cry. Colson-
"I'm sorry." Colson cracks first. Expression screwing up and the floodgates behind his eyes opening as he sobs. "I'm so fucking sorry Marshall-"
This time he doesn't resist that ache to kiss the blonde.
It's messy and Colson's mouth tastes like snot and tears already but Marshall presses closer anywhere. Cradling the younger rapper's skull with his free hand so tightly he knows he has to be pulling out hair. The wrist he'd snatched pinned between their bodies in a way that makes his own ache. But he ignores all of that and kisses Colson harder. Smacking their lips and teeth against one another in hopes the words trapped in his throat might pour their way out and into Colson's. Down the blonde's own throat to reach his heart.
He kisses Colson until he can't physically do it any longer. The sharp sting of oxygen deprivation jolting through his brain and colored spots dancing behind his closed eyes before their lips finally part.
Marshall wants to press so close he sinks down into Colson's bones. Join in with his marrow and spend the rest of his life repairing every broken piece of the beautiful man's soul from the inside out.
That's not possible though so he settles for pulling Colson close. Enveloping him in his arms the same way he wishes he had a dozen times over. Stabilizing him through every shuddering sob and heartbreaking tremble.
He's not falling in love.
"I got you."
He'd already crash landed there long ago.

Unnoticed
Dean x reader (gender neutral)
Warnings: Slight mention of vomit, grossness of a full on catharsis, detailed description of depression/self-wallowing
Summary: The reader has been hiding their demons around others for as long as they’ve known, but one surprise sends them tumbling down. With a little pushing from the Winchesters, they finally have to face them head on.
You were okay, you always had to be okay. It wasn't like anyone cared, right? Why would they? You were a miserable, self loathing, steaming pile of unwanted baggage. Everyone always had something more important to worry about, and it was never you. Everyday, you would plaster on the most genuine smile you could muster, and went about your day, not that anyone would give it much notice anyway. When you felt that reserve crack, you ran elsewhere before anyone could notice. You had already burdened the boys enough throughout the years, so why add on?
It was a day like any other. You had rolled out of bed around 5:45 AM, usually before everyone else. If it had been the day of a hunt, you would quickly dust yourself off and put on a show. But on "normal" days like today, you had some leeway. You could quietly cry in the shower if you wanted to and no one would notice your blotchy face. You could slowly seep into your coffee and imagine what today's antics would look like. Hell, you could even sleep in... If your body gave you that chance anyway.
You were mid-cup of the way through your morning routine (which today was self-wallowing at 6) before Sam's sudden appearance almost made you spit out your stale coffee. You rubbed your eyes and took a deep breath before settling yourself into your usual chipper role.
"You're up early." He said, fixing himself a light breakfast.
"Yeah uh, couldn't sleep." You said.
"Everything alright?" He asked, sleep still evident in his voice.
You swallowed a small lump in your throat. "Yeah, I just had a case of the "night after a hunt" syndrome; nothing new."
"Alright. Well, I'm here if you want to talk."
"Thanks, I'm good though. Nothing I haven't handled before."
Sam nodded, looking up to a drowsy Dean padding into the kitchen, clad in his usual grey robe.
"Damn you guys are loud." He said, still blinking the sleep from his eyes.
"Sorry." You said sheepishly.
"Cooking up anything good?" Dean asked.
"We usually don't start pancakes until nine." Sam said.
"Well, I mean, I figured... Never mind." Dean said.
Thankfully, the rest of breakfast was mostly just sounds of enjoyment as caffeine slowly simmered into your veins. You had finished off your mug and excused yourself to the bathroom before anyone else could have the chance to use it. Upon examining your rough appearance in the mirror, you sharply exhaled and allowed yourself to deflate. Mornings were never a charming look on anyone, unless if you were a Winchester of course, but you appeared even less flattering than usual. Your unusually puffy eyelids drooped and your dark bags were even more prominent than usual. It looked like you hadn't slept in weeks, which was a half-truth, nonetheless. Even with a fake smile, today was going to need a miracle to be survivable.
You were caught off guard, something that almost never happened. For some reason this time, you couldn't shake it off as quick as usual. It could have been the fact that this last hunt reminded you of how your life used to be. The life you had before it was ripped away, just like this family's. You blinked back tears and tried to force a smile. For once, it was the hardest thing you had to do.
You were scarce throughout the day, blaming it on not sleeping well when the boys called. You had hoped no one would catch on, but for once, you felt they did. The facts laid right in front of them, and no matter how far you drove, you couldn't hide. After going out for a supply run late afternoon, you decided it to be safe to return to your room before anyone could notice. As a plus, you could keep the lights off in your room and sit alone. You knew eventually the boys would notice you had returned by a simple check in the garage, and would likely peek into your room as a reassurance. You had some time before that, as you knew Sam and Dean like the back of your hand. For now, you stared at the ceiling and ruminated until your energy melted away. You didn't even bother to look at the clock before you had slipped unconscious.
~~~~~~~~~~~
You awoke to a burning light at the back of your eyelids, causing you to groan in annoyance. Upon opening your eyes and painfully lifting your head, you noticed someone had opened your door. Usually it wasn't left ajar, especially when the boys knew you were asleep. You made an attempt to get up and close it, but had resorted to laying stiffly in discomfort after numerous attempts. It wasn't really a surprise that your body disobeyed you, again. Yet again, it had been a while since you had felt this terrible. You sighed and rubbed your face frustratedly.
You didn't know how much time had passed, but the boys hadn't answered your calls to close the door. Every scenario possible began to run through your head, and you no longer worried about your body's act of rebellion. After frantically searching the halls, you wound up in the kitchen. Sam and Dean were just lounging around, as if you hadn't been calling for them. You would be fuming if it weren't for your mind still running in five million different directions.
"Hey, everything all good?" Dean asked.
"I... uh. Yeah. Peachy. You guys didn't hear me calling?" You asked, out of breath.
"No? Why, what's wrong?" Dean asked.
"Nothing, just noticed you left my door open." You said.
"Okay, how are you?" Sam asked suddenly.
"I'm fine now, just annoyed. Why?" You answered.
"You mind telling the truth this time?" Sam asked.
"What?" You asked.
"You can kill the act, (Y/N)." Dean said.
"What act? You lost me." You said.
"This one. The one you're trying to pull right now." Dean said, standing up.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." You said.
"I think you do." Sam said.
Had they had caught on?
"If you think me calling out for you two, and getting worried when you don't answer, is me pulling an act, then you need to reevaluate." You said.
"You think that's what this is about?" Dean said. "We didn't answer because we knew you would come find us anyway. It's not like you would have gotten out of bed any other way. We need to talk."
You were at a dead end, and there wasn't really a way you knew how to escape. Your last saving grace would be to tuck and run in the other direction.
"About? It's probably pretty late, and unless if the world is at stake again, I would like to go back to bed." You said. "I'm sure you two could hold off for a few hours, unless if of course you truly need me. I'm still kind of worn out from yesterday."
"Yesterday?" Dean asked.
"The hunt? The rougaru? I don't know about you guys, but after being half thrown down two flights of stairs, I'm still kind of worn out. And don't even get me started on food." You said.
"(Y/N), today is Tuesday." Sam stated.
"..What?" You asked quietly.
"Hun, the hunt was on Saturday. Today is Tuesday." Dean said
You felt your stomach drop and the room began to sway nauseously.
"So why don't you sit down," Dean continued, guiding you to the table. You had not even noticed he had made his way over to you. "Have a sandwich, and we'll talk this over, huh?"
You blinked, not daring to look anyone in the eyes. They had to be playing some sort of sick joke on you. That, or you were going insane. There's no way you could have slept for almost three days, surely you would have woken up at least a few times. Even at your worst, the longest you could be under was around 8 hours. Although, you were absolutely famished, almost more nauseous at the thought of food, more so than the other day. Dean sat next to you as Sam went to prepare a quick meal. You creased your brow while trying at to look as stable as you possibly could at this given moment.
"Enough of the mind games, you had your fun. What's this really about?" You asked.
"(Y/N), this isn't us messing with you." Dean said.
"And I know you're not lying how?"
Dean pulled his phone from his pocket and lit up the lockscreen. In a big bold font, the time read 10:21 pm. The date beneath? Tuesday November 24th. Dean wasn't up to date on newer technology, so there was no way he, himself could have pulled this off. If Sam had so even touched his phone, Dean would never live with himself. They were serious.
New tactic, complete avoidance.
Dean put a warm hand on your back, causing you to shiver lightly. "So what's really going on, (Y/N)?"
You just stared at the patterns on the wooden table, knowing he would just continue to pester until you answered anyway, or at least until you could will yourself to come up with something believable.
"Talk to me. We can't help you unless you spill." Dean said.
You remained silent as your insides quaked in fear; you were so far off the map now, you didn't know your way back. You knew if you uttered a single sound, that was it for you. The fasaad would crumble, and no one would be there to pick up the pieces, not even you. You'd gone this far without them knowing, and you knew that it was better that way. There's only one way this ended every time, with either them looking at you like the broken mess you were, or abandoning you like everyone else. You felt Dean's soft hands turn your head towards him, and you quickly averted your eyes before you broke.
"(Y/N),"
You felt the emotions bubble inside you; you didn't dare speak.
"Hey." Dean lowered his head to meet your gaze.
That was all it took. You closed your eyes to block out Dean's expression, willing your mind to stop. Tears leaked from your now scrunched eyes like a cracked basin. Dean sighed and pulled you to his chest. You sank even lower, crying so hard that snot began to mix into the falling tears. You couldn't hold back, you were too far gone. You felt Dean's chest vibrate, but couldn't hear anything over the agonizing pain. It was a pain you tucked away for so long; you couldn't stop if you tried. Your stomach churned with every sob, only adding to the turmoil. Your body began to rock gently with Dean's as the pain continued to roll out in waves. Everything was so messy, and yet he still held you as you fell apart. Even though he had no idea what was wrong, he just sat there. After what seemed like forever, your shuddering breaths evened out slightly. You sat up and looked disgustingly at the front of Dean's shirt.
"Don't worry, I've got more." Dean joked lightly.
You apprehensively looked at his eyes, not failing to notice the crease between his brow or the gloss in his eyes. Your stomach lurched. You scrambled towards the hallway before retching violently onto the linoleum floors. Before more bile could make its way out, you stumbled into the bathroom, still turning your stomach inside out the whole way. By the time you had tripped and practically crawled to the toilet, there was nothing left to bring up. Your cheeks flushed in both embarrassment and overexertion as you realized two pairs of footsteps had trailed behind you.
"Leave." You rasped.
"(Y/N)-"
"No, I will not let you see this side of me. Leave." You cried.
"Sammy," Dean began.
He then communicated something to Sam you could not hear, and crouched down beside you.
"Don't," You said. "I can't afford to lose you too."
"We aren't leaving, (Y/N). We're still here."
You sniffled, gagging at the taste in your mouth. "For now."
You spat and brought up some more bile before weakly resting on the toilet.
"Take a deep breath for me," Dean said softly. "I need you to calm down."
"Why, so you can leave me outside without causing a scene?" You huffed.
"You do realize even if I wanted to, we are in the middle of nowhere. There would be no scene to make." Dean said.
Your stomach dropped again, causing you to dry heave. Dean gently placed a hand on your back.
"Hey," He said, hoping you would turn his attention to him. "That's not what I meant. You do know we've known something has been off for a while, right? So if we wanted to kick you to the curb, we would have done so already."
"How long have you known?" You asked, your voice breaking.
"About a few months now. I don't know how long this has been going on, but I wished we had said something sooner." Dean said.
"What, that you don't want me?" You asked.
"No, God no, of course not. I know you don't see it, but you're one of the strongest people I know. To have something unseen going on and still acting like everything is okay around everyone else? That takes strength. You don't have to put a face on for us, I know you better than you think." Dean said.
"No, you don't."
"Well then, enlighten me."
You bit your lip and looked over to Dean. Now without a lot of those emotions from before crowding your mind, you began to see some things for how they really were. Dean wasn't angry. His expression was filled with concern, with love. He wasn't pushing you away. Even at Sam's worst, Dean always came back. So why would it be any different for you? You were practically family; the only thing not tying that knot, was the absence of a ring on your finger.
"It's..It's a lot." You said.
"No matter how much it is, I'm here. I will be here to listen. And if you aren't ready to talk right now, that's okay. I just want you to know that I always have and always will be here." Dean said as he leaned over to flush the toilet.
"Even if you can't handle it? Or me?" You asked.
"Honey, I've handled God himself. There's nothing I can't handle." Dean said with a smirk.
"..Even if it's years of unresolved trauma?" You asked, squinting one of your eyes nervously.
"Even that, yes. Although, I think Sam might be better equipped in that department." Dean admitted. "But, that doesn't mean I will support you any less. Even if I get frustrated, it's only because I care, so much."
You smiled and practically toppled Dean to the floor. Luckily, his cat-like reflexes saved the both of you from tumbling down. He giggled and returned your tight embrace. After a few beats, you looked up.
"So, you ready to face this together?" Dean asked.
"Yeah." You said. "I guess."
"That's the (Y/N) I know. Now, let's say we have some toast or something. What do you say?" Dean said, pulling the two of you off the floor.
For the first time in a while, you smiled; you really smiled. Not everything felt right, but deep down, you could at least trust the words of a Winchester.
"Yeah, that sounds good." You said.
Dean beamed and rested a hand on your lower back as the two of you followed the aroma of freshly fried grilled cheese.
characters: reiner braun, levi ackerman, porco galliard, bertholdt hoover, eren jaeger - ATTACK ON TITAN
song recommendation: breathin’ - ariana grande
note: I wanted to do the ‘I’m breaking up with you’ prank scenario with the AoT characters. inspiration behind this came from @emsvegetables. for obvious reasons, this is an AU. but I wanna do another thing like this for another anime so please lemme know which you would like to see!!
REINER BRAUN:
you decided to tell him a random day where the both were at his house, relaxing and more than likely watching TV. you bent over him and softly grabbed his hand as he turned to you.
“Reiner, I’ve been thinking this for a while but I think we need to break up.”
this poor child. don’t do this to him. he’ll get so upset so quickly. Reiner immediately sat up straight and looked at you with his eyes already pricking tears.
Reiner ran through a million scenarios as to what made you want to break up with him.
did you like someone else? did you gain feelings for Porco of all people? Reiner knew that his depression got the best of him on some days but was it that?
you immediately started to panic at his reaction as he couldn’t even dare to even look at you.
“was it something I did? was I not enough?” he simply asked.
your eyes widened as his response.
“because whatever it was, I am so sorry and I understand that I could be a better boyfriend but I respect your decision. I’ll be supporting you and whoever you decide to date next, no matter how much it hurts.”
your mouth dropped before you tackled him into a hug.
“Reiner, baby, I’m joking. I didn’t mean it.”
you kissed his cheek as you felt him embrace you even tighter. the two of you were quiet for a few minutes before he pulled away and cradled your head with his hands.
“don’t ever joke like that again. you have no much you actually mean to me. I felt like my heart shattered into a million pieces.”
you nodded as you placed a soft kiss on his lips before deciding that he needed a few cuddles.
you ended up passing out asleep but the words still stuck with him. he shifted the both of you as he wanted to cuddle you correctly and had you laid on top of him.
he placed a kiss on the top of your head before hugging you again. thank god it was only a prank or else he probably would have been bawling his eyes out to Bertholdt.
LEVI ACKERMAN:
you hadn’t been with Levi in a long time. his job had him constantly at work so on his day off, all he wanted to do was spend it with you and actually relax.
the two of you were probably reading and drinking some tea when you finally decided to make the joke.
“Levi?” you asked, “this has been running through my head all day and I’ve finally gained the courage to tell you. I want to break up.”
oh, he might not show it like Reiner does but this man is dis FUCKING straught. he remained staring at you but you can see it in his eyes that his heart fucking BROKE.
the air was thick as Levi knew exactly why you probably wanted to break up. he was always at work, never pulled enough time in his day to be with you, and you probably got tired of it and found someone else.
“I understand and I’m glad you decided not to pull the relationship any further. whoever is making you happy now, I’m glad someone is doing it again. I know I am wasn’t as present as I should have been in this relationship however like I’ve said, I appreciate that you were so straight forward about it.”
you gave him another look as you could tell Levi was holding back tears. you knew it took a lot in him to even open up to the idea of you dating him and now you were leaving him for someone else.
“Levi, sweetheart, I’m joking. I don’t actually want to break up with you. It was a prank.”
Levi stayed silent before giving a silent chuckle. you watched as a single stray tear fell down his face and that was enough for you. you immediately went to him and wiped it off before moving his hair out of his face.
“I promise, from now on, I’ll try to be more present in the relationship. I know my job has me pulled in seventeen different directions at the same time but hearing you say that put it into perspective that I never want to lose you.”
you nodded as you grabbed his hand and gave the back of it a kiss. you had your legs wrapped around his waist as your face was snuggled into his neck. you placed a small kiss on his neck making him chuckle.
“I love you, don’t ever forget that.”
you nodded but didn’t respond. you weren’t expecting suck a strong reaction from the man whose only other emotion aside from being stoic was anger.
PORCO GALLIARD:
you and porco had just finished having sex so it wasn’t unusual for the two of you to poke fun at each other after it. Porco was sipping on a warm beer as you were just laying in bed.
Porco had felt your eyes on him and gave you look indicating why were you staring at him that way.
“Porco, what I’m about to tell you is not going to be good but please promise me that you won’t be upset. I want to break up.”
his eyes immediately flashed to anger. I imagine that Porco might be one of the two who’ll get angry before getting sad or upset. he slammed the beer he was drinking onto the bedside table before looking at you.
“are you serious? why? who the hell put you up to this? was it bitch ass Reiner? did he convince you that I’m some kind of demon? I have to kick his ass.”
you wondered why Porco’s first reaction to that was Reiner of all people. you weren’t even that close to the blond but you knew the two of them had some bad history together, however, you never talked to him unless you absolutely had too.
“well? who am I paying a visit too? huh? was it because I wasn’t enough? was it my anger issues? I can promise to work on them. don’t leave me!”
you wouldn’t have guessed that Porco of all people would have a reaction this strong but he did. his pale face went red as he pulled his boxers on before trying to find his shoes. you immediately grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.
“Porco, baby, I’m kidding. I was joking! I don’t want to break up. relax!”
his gave you another look before trying to see if you were serious or if you were trying to make this break up into an even bigger joke. once he realized that you weren’t actually being serious, he still had anger bubbled up inside of him.
“why would you joke that way? do you realize how much you mean to me, dumbass? I thought you actually wanted to break up.”
you pulled him on top of you before shaking your head.
“I thought it would be funny but I don’t actually want too. I love you, you fucking idiot! but my question is, why would you even think that Reiner was the reason behind me wanting to break up with you?”
he didn’t respond as he pinned you against the bed.
“don’t even mention that bastards name. I thought he plotted it against me as some form of revenge.”
you laughed as you pulled him into a kiss and told him to forget about Reiner. he nodded as he delved into another passionate kiss knowing where this could lead too.
BERTHOLDT HOOVER:
you were at a park with Bertholdt, eating ice cream when you went in for the joke. you had looked up to your VERY tall boyfriend and went in for the kill.
“Bertl, I want to get this off my chest already, I don’t think we should be together anymore.”
he probably react like Reiner in some way, shape, or form. probably not as emotional but he would get visibly upset. his ice cream fell on the floor and he bent down to your height.
within the seconds that he was staring at you without saying anything, thoughts ran through his head.
why? was it because of how awkward he was? he swore when the two of you got together that he would work on it. he knew he wasn’t the most romantic or the most visible with his vulnerable side but he loved you and wanted to marry you if he got the chance.
“I guess you taking the Hoover last name won’t happen anymore, will it? but whatever makes you happy, baby. just tell me one last time that you love me?”
you immediately shook your head no as you tried to retract your joke right away. you pulled him into a secluded part of the park right away before shaking your head again.
“Bertl, I was kidding. I don’t actually want to break up. I swear, it was joke.”
you watched as his face fell to relief before bending down to your height again and embracing you before giving you a kiss on the cheek.
“thank God. I know I can work on myself in this relationship but I’m serious, I want you to have my last name one day. you’re the only one I can picture myself with.”
you felt like crying at his confession. you never realized how much Bertl wanted to be with you, let alone wanted to marry you. the two of you had joked about getting married before but hearing that that was the first thing he thought of made your heart shatter yet flutter at the same time.
“and I promise Bertl, I will, one day. or maybe you can even take my last name.”
he chuckled before giving you a kiss and quickly hauling you over him to give you a piggyback ride back to the car.
Eren Jaeger:
the two of you were trapped inside of the house due to the snow storm that was ravaging outside your door. you were cuddled up against Eren as you held him for warmth when you decided to make your joke.
“Eren? what if I told you I didn’t want to be with you anymore?”
Eren would be the other one to be angry before being upset or sad. also another person who pictured you to marry him. Eren, unlike Bertl, actually had your first name written with his last name attached on random notebooks, scraps of paper, and even did it on tree bark once.
“what happened to ( your name ) jaeger, huh? we were supposed to get married! I’m not going to stop you from breaking up with me but we were supposed to make it through until the end!”
you kind of figured that anger would be his first reaction but you didn’t expect him to be THIS angry. his hands were clenched together and he was ready to hit a wall if he was honest but he had worked on his anger in anger management and knew there was consequences to doing such an action.
“who is it? huh? was it horse face? I know he has eyes on you. did he finally get you to himself? I’m gonna fucking kill him.”
you immediately grabbed his hand but made sure to touch it as gently as possible.
“Eren, babe, I kidding! I was just fucking around! I don’t actually want to break up with you.”
his anger immediately went away as he watched you crawl up against him to give him a kiss. he still had a salty feeling inside of him but nevertheless let you kiss him.
“you’re mine. remember that (WHY DID THIS TURN SO YANDERE ALL OF A SUDDEN???).”
“always. I’ll let you have me for as long as you want.”
Eren in hummed in response before resuming the position the two of you were in before you went and told your very unfunny joke.
JUST ALWAYS.
STARRING: zhong chenle and reader
GENRE: fluff; best friend!au
WARNINGS: lawbreaking; excessive mentions of teasing; though the rest is complete friendship goals
PLOT: trust your best friend to know every detail of your life, even that one embarrassing time when you blabbered about your idea of a perfect date. but also trust him to be the one to fulfill every wish you ever had, even ones you thought would never come true.
RUNNING TIME: 2.7k
DIRECTOR’S NOTE: putting out fluff before every fic i drop is just pure angst because it is coming and very soon...but enjoy this cute scenario as my parting gift for you all (even if there will be possibly be a few more fluff fics after this, though don’t take my word for it). also shoutout to @dvrlingrenjun for always reading through my fics at ungodly hours of the day.
zhong chenle was your best friend since birth. you did everything together. there wasn’t a time when he wasn’t with you. you were the inseparable duo, the partners in crime, and one half of a whole. that was you and chenle. the best of friends, but not lovers like many assumed you to be. though that was never a problem, for it a topic of discussion that was never addressed, yet fully comprehensible to you both. it was a pure and friendly relationship, something that would sustain for years to come. he was there every step of the way and who says he wouldn't continue to be?
when you both were learning to ride bicycles, who was there? chenle. when you got your first tooth pulled, who was there? chenle. when you scraped your knee on the asphalt after running around the playground, who was there? chenle. for each and every memory.
he was always present, simply growing to be your best friend. sure you had others, consider the boys he befriended at the start of high school, but they didn’t mean nearly as much to you as he did.
you could tell him anything. do anything. there was no judgment, just absolute enjoyment. that’s the way it always went and it was why you knew whenever vacation rolled around for the two of you, it would always be the best time as long as you were with him. he planned new things every day, always making an effort and this time he said it was a surprise. nothing new, but you couldn’t help but be anxious at what he had planned.
so when he had picked you up from your house, several doors down from his own and drove to the outskirts of town, you knew something was up. he had parked at the entrance of a restricted zone and told you to follow him through the clearly broken metal fence. you had no choice but to do as he said, especially when you were losing the day fast. yet it wasn't as bad as you presumed it to be, for he led you to an expanse of a field littered with various types of flowers and plants and a very tall hill that could be seen clearer as you walked forward.
he ran straight towards the hill without glancing back to see where you were, too excited for his own good.
“come on!” he exclaimed, calling your name in the process. he was in a hurry for who knows what reason, but that didn’t stop him from making sure you were doing just fine on your own.
when he turned his body around he saw you were struggling to make your way up the steep hill after running to catch up to him. you were huffing and puffing every so often. your legs felt like jelly and you were not even halfway to your destination. it just proved how out of shape you were, well partially at least. why he decided it was a good idea to come here at nearly seven at night when the heat felt worse than it did during the day was beyond you, but it was one of the things you admire about him—your best friend since day one. he was always filled with unpredictable and undeniable fun, making your days brighter with just a grin along with his contagious laughter. you were grateful for him and his sense of adventure, but not right now when you felt you were going to collapse any second.
he rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath some phrase in mandarin before carefully going down the hill to where you suddenly stopped. one wrong move and he would tumble down the dewy grass so he had to be cautious. one of you had to make it out of this alive and you were hoping it was him considering you needed the most help.
he finally reached you after some delicate movements, where you stood relatively close to the start of the hill.
he chortled at you and your exasperated expression, one with your lips pursed together and your eyebrows furrowed. your skin was flushed from the heat and he could see some beads of sweat glistening on the top of your forehead as well as on your temples, just waiting to fall.
you weren’t kidding from being out of shape but it was mostly the humid heat emitting from the sun that was the cause.
he clicked his tongue and shook his head then proceeded to latch his hand onto your wrist to tug you up the hill since you clearly couldn’t do it yourself.
“you can never do anything without me huh?” he questioned with a quirk of his brow.
you sheepishly smiled at him and mumbled in reply, “possibly but don’t let it get to your head.”
his piercing laughter rang in your ears a second time and he trotted forward without responding, though you knew your statement added to his ever-inflating ego.
after several long minutes and repetitive stops because let us be real he had more energy than you, more strength in his legs, you had made it to the top of the hill that overlooked the cityscape of your small town nestled in between the mountains. the scenery was beyond beautiful leaving you starstruck for you never quite saw it in this light, literally. the sun was beginning to set beyond the horizon, the warm colors starting to fade into the darkness of the night. some lights of the homes in the distance were sparkling and the usual sound of cars was drowned out by nature’s bliss. a breeze could be felt that cools you down in moments, brushing against your face and his own, his hair ruffling ever so slightly.
but it wasn’t only the scenery, it was also him and what laid before you. you had guessed he had come upon the flowery hill before he had come to your house to pick you up. for the picture mimicked one you would only see in movies. a red and white checked blanket was laid on top of the dark green grass without any wrinkles in sight and was held down by a huge brown wicker picnic basket. additionally, juxtaposition to the basket, was one of your favorite novels of all time, little women by louisa may alcott, with a bouquet laying on top. you could make out some small white daisies in the bouquet, your favorite flowers something only he would know.
everything just appeared to be perfect.
his hand had dropped from your wrist as he took steps forward to sit on the blanket, leaving you to admire everything in front of you.
your eyes were wide and filled with shock, but you managed to let a soft smile slip onto your face as you focused on him.
zhong chenle amazed you. he always did.
he tilted his head, waiting to see your next move, and then patted the spot next to him, silently asking you to join him.
you shook your head to get out of your trance and strode forward, sitting down criss-cross applesauce right next to the boy in question.
“chenle...” you spoke. “what is all this?” you let out a little guffaw, a teasing tone dripping from your words. “did you do this all for me?”
he gave you a deadpan look and you had to hold back the giggles from escaping your mouth. “don’t think too highly of yourself now.” he reached over to lightly push you to the side, the laughter bubbling up from your throat.
“but in all due seriousness, it’s a picnic can’t you see?” he put his arms in front of him and made a grand gesture towards everything before you.
your cackles halted to a stop and you huffed in response, rolling your eyes at his remark. trust him to be smart with his retorts, always trying to be one step ahead while ruining the zest in the process. silence encompassed you both as you just stared at each other, but then a beam broke out on his face, his eyes transforming into little crescents. he let out a small cough to clear the air as it was now your turn to give him a deadpan stare, but it was hard when his next words warmed your heart.
“anyways...while we are having a picnic that i obviously did for you, it isn’t for no reason. do you remember that time we were just absentmindedly discussing our crushes or something like that? it was a while ago, so i am not sure if you remember, but i do.” his hand was twiddling with a piece of grass as he had twisted away from you, refusing to make eye contact. “you told me this idea you had for a perfect date. one where your partner would prepare a picnic for the two of you, specifically with a home-cooked meal and the two of you would watch the sunset while having a view of the town. you said it was basically the dream date and the person that would do this for you would have your heart.” he let out a taunting snicker and finally raised his head to gaze at you again. “imagine that, but since you clearly haven’t had a date in forever, i thought why not?”
you were about to punch his shoulder from his not so kind jab at your love life, but he jerked away just in time before continuing. “might as well put my clearly romantic side to good use. as you can see i clearly did a fantastic job if i do say so myself. i think i got the whole lovey-dovey thing down.”
you hummed in acknowledgment though you weren’t going to give him the benefit of the doubt, well not entirely at least. “sure you do,” you let out a scoff. “but lovey-dovey? buddy, need i remind you we are friends?” you furrowed your eyebrows and glanced at him weirdly, though you were being lighthearted rather than serious.
he nervously chuckled and cleared his throat, afraid you caught onto something, but he knew it was all in good mirth. however, that didn’t calm his beating heart.
his nerves were still haywire, yet he managed to place his right palm over his chest, near his heart. “did you…” he took a sharp inhale of breath. “just friend zone me?”
you hit his chest playfully. “shut up. you’re so annoying sometimes, lele.”
he gave you a toothy grin, bumping his shoulder with your own. “it is my job after all.”
another roll of the eyes. “unfortunately, but i really can’t believe you remember what i told you about my idea for a perfect date. it seems so long ago…” you trailed off, lifting your eyes to admire your town, the faint glow of the sunlight reflecting across your face.
“i always remember things involving you.”
your heart stopped in your chest at his bluntness, the evident embarrassment coursing through your veins. sometimes it astonished you how chenle never had a filter, always speaking his mind, yet with it came the fact that he sometimes did not know what he truly said. right now was one of those countless times, albeit you knew he meant declaration, especially when it came to one of his closest friends.
you could hear the shuffling besides you. chenle was obviously trying to set everything up by opening up the basket and taking out all the goodies he had prepared for this “romantic date.”
you whipped your head around to see what he was doing with making so much noise. at that moment he had managed to take out two perfectly plastic wrapped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, placing them on two paper plates he had taken out seconds before. his hand reached in the basket once more and he took out two apple juice boxes, putting them right near the sandwiches.
your titters rang loud, startling chenle in the process as his head abruptly jerked up.
you brought your hands up to your mouth to try to stop the chuckles from coming out, the sound becoming muffled. he raised his eyebrows at you, trying to figure out what was so funny. instances went by before you had finally become quiet and dropped your hands in your lap.
“chenle you can’t be serious. what is this? an elementary school meal?” you threw your head back, placing your hands flat on the checkered blanket to keep your composure.
“hey! elementary meals were good. don’t slander them.”
you brought your head forward, raising your hands up in the air for defense. “okay, okay.” your beam was wide viewing his clearly offended expression. “though i know you can cook so it came as a surprise. i am just a bit confused is all.”
he sighed loudly, leaning back on his arms. “yes i can, but i was on a time constraint so i couldn’t hone in on my cooking skills today, okay? sorry to disappoint. though if you think about it this is technically home-made.”
“you’re not wrong, but hey i will take what i can get.”
“thank you for your generosity.” he let out a scoff then reached to the side of the basket and picked up your favorite book, thrusting it into your hands. “now here, i couldn’t forget to bring it.”
you ran your fingertips across the cover, turning it over in your hands to admire every inch of the novel even if you had seen it a thousands times before.
he poked your shoulder blade to capture your attention amongst your state of admiration. he held out the bouquet of flowers you speculated he had picked from the flowery field surrounding the hill and you put the novel to the side, taking the flowers from him.
“wow i guess i can’t deny you are a little bit romantic,” you jeered at him.
he whirled his head away, the tips of his ears growing slightly red. “now shut up and let’s watch the sunset...please.”
you let out a long breath. “fine, but don’t forget we have to eat too.”
he rolled his eyes, handing you the plate with the peanut butter and jelly sandwich along with the apple juice, which you gladly took from him after placing the bouquet down. “obviously.”
so that is how you spent the rest of the evening, like the perfect date you had in mind years ago―watching the sunset and eating a homemade meal even if it was something straight out of the elementary school cafeteria, while sitting atop a hill that encompassed the whole town.
when the light of day finally faded away, you cuddled close to your best friend, seeking some sort of contact even if the coolness of the night was rarely felt.
he didn’t even think twice before putting his arm around you, tugging you a little bit closer to him. when he did so you placed your head on his shoulder, rotating away from the now dark sky to peer up at him with puppy dog eyes.
you spoke so gently that if anyone managed to pass by the two of you right then, they wouldn’t be able to hear you from the barely evident sound.
“hey lele?” you question.
he hums in return, still observing the twinkling lights of the town and stars.
“thank you for today. i enjoyed our little friend date, definitely was like i imagined it to be.” you released a small giggle. “a perfect date indeed so thank you for doing this for me.”
he turns his head down to glimpse at you once you finish talking, his gaze filled with fondness. he then shifted slightly and placed a kiss on the top of your head, murmuring his next words.
“you’re welcome.” you could hear the smile in his voice.
you looked straight forward, no longer locking eyes with him and whispered into the night,“i love you.”
his melodic laughter filled your ears. “yes i know.” he paused, murmuring right back. “but i love you too.”
you held out your pinky finger, raising it slightly so he could clearly see it among the increasing blackness.
“always and forever?” you asked.
he hooked his pinky with yours.
“always and forever.”
your wonder under summer skies (13/18)
Summer in Storybrooke, Maine means one thing for its residents: tourist season. This year, for Emma Swan and Killian Jones, it means relationships ending and friendships changing all the while they attempt to figure out just what their relationship is. It’s somewhere straddling the line between friends and lovers, and there’s no guarantee of a soft landing if they fall into new territory.
“Okay, so I would recommend doing a buffet. I know a lot of people stupidly think that’s tacky, but it’s not. That way you have a constant flow of food and people aren’t sitting down waiting. The one thing you don’t want is people tapping their foot waiting for you two to be done with pictures so they can eat.”
“Do pictures take that long?” Liam asks.
“Oh my God, Liam,” Anna sighs through the phone, “we have been over this. Yes, pictures do take that long. This is a special day, and you’re going to want to remember it from every possible angle. Plus, you have to have pictures with family and friends, and it’s not a simple thing with a one, two click. Don’t you ever listen? I feel like you have to listen. You better be listening when my sister is trying to talk to you. She deserves a man who listens.”
“Anna, take a breath,” Elsa sighs.
“I don’t know how you’re planning a wedding with this man. I feel like I have to keep repeating myself.”
“You know,” Emma murmurs, rolling her eyes at Elsa, “there is also the option to have all of the pictures done before the actual ceremony. A lot of couples are doing that now. You can have private time with each other so that Liam isn’t seeing Elsa for the first time in front of all of these people, and it can also streamline the time between the ceremony and the reception.”
“But that first look during the ceremony is so special!” Anna whines. “You don’t want to miss out on that!”
Elsa looks up from her phone to look at Liam, and they seem to have some kind of silent conversation. Emma meets with different couples several times a week, sometimes several times a day, and while she’s used to there being questions and disagreements, she’s not used to have the bride’s professional event planner sister asking a million and two questions over FaceTime.
It’s fine, really. Anna is lovely, but she’s a lot to deal with. Emma is so used to spending time with Elsa and it being calm and soothing, so this is throwing her for a bit of a loop.
At least Liam is being nice. He’s been…kinder lately. Emma should question it when he usually likes to be a bit of an ass to her, but she’s not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Why did she just think that phrase?
Why is that even a phrase to begin with? Who is look a horse in the mouth? Why is it a gift?
“I think taking pictures before the actual ceremony sounds nice,” Elsa finally says, “and so does the buffet. Do you have servers or is it self-serve?”
“We have servers so people aren’t sticking their hands in the food.”
“Perfect. Can you remind me again of the contingency plan for if it rains?”
Elsa and Liam spend another forty-five minutes talking about different options and scenarios with Emma, most of that time spent talking with Anna and listening to plans, but eventually, they’ve covered everything they can and are ready to leave. Emma’s got an appointment with another couple in fifteen minutes, so when Elsa and Liam walk out of her office, she expects them to walk away and go back to work.
She decidedly does not expect Liam to linger around.
“Did you forget something?” Emma laughs, leaning against her doorframe.
“Oh, nothing big. Elsa simply forgot to ask if you were going to bring a date. Anna’s got her obsessing over making sure the envelopes are all addressed correctly, and for some reason she was tripping up over yours.”
“I promise you that I will not be weirdly offended if you guys give me an envelope that says Emma Swan instead of Emma Swan and guest. And tell her not to stress about that stuff. If someone gets offended over how an envelope is addressed, you probably don’t want them at your wedding to begin with.”
Liam chuckles and leans down against the arm of the chair that sits outside she and Mary Margaret’s office. “So, no date?”
“Eh, I don’t know. I’ve still got a month. Maybe I’ll magically fall in love again. Or at least meet a cute guy who would look good on my arm. Or, hey, maybe I can take Killian. He’s a good dancer, would be a hell of a wedding date. I feel like we should probably be each other’s default wedding dates at this point, you know?”
Liam’s smile falters, but it’s just for a second. If she wasn’t used to having to try to read him, she wouldn’t have noticed because just as quickly as it falters, the smile reappears. “He’s seeing someone, you know, so who knows? He might take her.”
“The same someone?” Emma asks before she can stop herself.
“I think so. You still don’t know who she is? I mean – you know, never mind. I told Killian I would stop interfering with his personal life, and I meant it. I can’t keep going behind his back and trying to get information from his friends.”
Emma arches a brow, and she takes a deep breath. Her heart is racing all of the sudden, and she desperately needs it to calm down.
Is this why Liam is being nicer? Because he and Killian had some kind of talk about Liam being too much into Killian’s business? She knew they got into an argument, but how does that translate to her?
Fuck.
Did Killian tell Liam that she was the one he was sleeping with?
No, no, that wouldn’t make sense. Then Liam wouldn’t be asking her if she knew who it was. He can be invasive, but he’s not about to go all FBI or something on her. And Killian wouldn’t do that. It’s against their rules.
“I think that’s probably a good idea on your part,” Emma sighs, pushing off the doorframe. “I don’t know if I’m bringing a date or not yet. Tell Elsa to stop freaking out over the little things, and if Anna gets to be too much, I’m always here to talk about the practical side of things.”
“Thank you for all of this, by the way.”
“It’s my job, but I’m happy to do it. Now go, Elsa is waiting on you, and I’m sure Killian is tired of manning the office by himself.”
“Please,” Liam laughs, “he and Skipper are probably enjoying the silence.”
“Yeah, but I wasn’t going to say that. I’m technically supposed to keep my clients happy. Once I’m off the clock, though, all bets are off.”
“I understand. Goodbye, Emma.”
“Bye.”
Emma waves him away, and as soon as he turns the corner down the hall, she sees her next couple. They’re early. They almost always are, and she thinks they might have the same enthusiasm as Anna does…if not more since they ask for yet another tour of the entire grounds because they’re just not sure of what exactly it is that they want yet.
It takes some kind of herculean strength not to scream since this is the fifth tour she’s given them, and their wedding isn’t until next July.
That’s a year that she has to deal with them.
A year.
Why does she do this again?
Oh, yeah, because most days it’s not that bad, and she usually doesn’t go down the wormhole that is thinking the entire wedding industry is a sham and wondering why people get married in the first place.
Is it for the wedding or the actual marriage?
For at least half of her clients, it’s only for the wedding. She’s obviously not some kind of expert on healthy relationships and only does this because she isn’t qualified to do much else that will pay her this well, but at least she knows that it’s fucked up.
When she finally gets the Taylors out of the club, Emma sighs in relief.
And her stomach growls.
It’s the middle of the afternoon, but she hasn’t eaten all day. Damn, she could go for whatever it is they served for lunch in the dining halls today, even if it’s probably cold right now. Emma checks her phone to make sure she doesn’t have any emails or last-minute appointments, and then she heads down the hallways and through the nearly empty main dining room to get to the kitchen.
Her phone dings in her hand, and she stops walking to look at it.
Killian: Why is my brother asking you if you’re bringing a date to his wedding?
Emma: He said something about Elsa being worried about how to address the envelope.
Emma: Wait. How do you know about that?
Emma: Did he tell you that I said I was bringing you? Because I was joking? Kind of. I don’t actually have a date or plan on having one, but you would technically be the most fun date of anyone in the city.
Killian: Why, Swan, are you asking me out?
Emma: Shut up.
Killian: I would love to go with you, for what it’s worth. I promise I’ll be a better wedding date than your last one.
Emma: That’s not much of a bar you have to leap over.
Emma: Do you want to get dinner tonight? I get off at seven.
She waits for the little bubbles to pop up immediately like they have been, but they don’t. Emma doesn’t think anything of it and stuffs her phone in the back pocket of her jeans and starts walking toward the kitchen again only to see Neal and his dad sitting at the table closest the kitchen entrance.
Dammit.
She should have gone through the back doors, but this way was closer.
What the hell is he doing here?
This is where she works.
Yeah, it’s a public place (if you pay a ridiculous member’s fee, which they unfortunately pay), but something being a public place doesn’t mean he can show up whenever he wants to.
This is her space, not his. They broke up, and there’s got to be some kind of unwritten rule that he simply doesn’t show up to her place of work.
He’s already always at Granny’s, which is bad enough, and then there was the fair and the one time she saw him when she had to go to Target for some new pillows.
But this? This is different?
They could have lunch at fifty different places, and the asshole knows it.
He also knows that she’s just spotted him because he’s staring right at her.
Shit.
Does she turn around and walk away or does she walk straight toward them, ignore them, and then head into the kitchen where she hopes Neal has the decency not to follow her in?
Emma doesn’t really get to make the choice, though, because Neal is standing from his chair and walking right toward her, the smile she used to love plastered on his face.
Was it always that disturbing? Did it always look so much like his dad’s?
“Emma,” he calls out. She bites her tongue. She cannot say anything dumb here. It could get her fired. His family are members here, and she doesn’t think Regina is going to give her a pass because of her personal business with them. In fact, she knows that she won’t. “Hey, how are you doing?”
“Wonderful,” Emma says. It’s not a lie. She’s not doing wonderful at this particular moment, but in general, she’s a lot better than she was the last time she was this physically close to him. “Are you enjoying your lunch? Is there anything that I can get you?”
His head tilts to the side, and his smile widens. “Oh, come on, Ems, you don’t have to be in work mode with me. We’re friends.”
Emma grits her teeth and takes another deep breath. She’s sure everyone in Storybrooke can hear them. Her dentist is going to be thrilled. “We are not friends, Neal. You ended any chance of that when you started sleeping with someone else and started working with your dad again. We’ve been over this, and I really don’t feel like repeating myself again.”
“You’re not still mad about that, are you?”
Seriously.
How is this the same man that she fell in love with? Was she blind to all of this? To how absolutely inconsiderate he is about so much?
“I don’t let you take up that much space in my head anymore, but you can’t honestly believe that I’m just going to forgive you for all that you did.”
His eyes roll. They actually roll.
He’s the one who fucked up, and he’s the one who is trying to act like they’re friends. Yet he’s also the one who’s exasperated by her pushback.
What an asshole.
“It’s not like you waited around long after you ended things before you started fucking Jones? And come on, you always told me there was nothing going on between the two of you, but that’s obviously bullshit.”
What the hell?
How does he…no, there’s no way that Neal could know. No one knows, and there’s no way Neal, who never paid any attention to the little things in her life, could know.
“I’m not sleeping with Killian,” she lies, “and even if I was, it would be none of your business since it would have happened after I left you.”
“I saw you two walking around at the fair, and he got fucking defensive over it when I suggested it to him. He didn’t say it, but come on, it’s pretty damn obvious.”
Emma swallows the lump in her throat so she can focus on her breathing. It’s the only thing she can focus on right now so she doesn’t punch Neal and knock all of his teeth out.
What an asshole.
How dare he confront Killian like that? Why did Killian not tell her?
You know what? It doesn’t matter why Killian didn’t tell her. What matters is that Neal is the worst.
“Neal,” she says slowly, her teeth grinding, “you lost any right to know who I am or am not sleeping with the moment you fucked someone else, so please, unless you need something from the club that only I can give to you, leave me the hell alone.”
He blinks, almost like he’s taken aback by her, and his smile falls.
Good.
“You don’t have to be a bitch about it.”
She opens her mouth, a curse at the tip of her tongue, but there’s a voice in the back of her mind that’s telling her this isn’t worth it. He’s not worth it. She’s got to stop letting him take up so much space in her head like she said she’s not. He doesn’t deserve it.
So, not for the first time, she walks away from Neal.
She walks away, knowing there’s only a half of a chance that he’ll bother to follow him, and she heads toward the kitchen. It means that she has to pass Neal’s dad, and she can feel his eyes on her.
The thing is, she doesn’t care.
That part of her life is over, and she’s not going to lie to herself and say that a part of her doesn’t still hurt and won’t hurt when she has to see Neal and Tamara, but she can’t keep dwelling on it.
This summer has been strangely good, and maybe it’s not all that strange since she’s cut Neal out of her life.
“Emma,” Harry, their head chef, exclaims when she walks into the kitchen, her heartbeat racing, “I’m just about to start dinner. Do you want something in particular?”
“What did we have for lunch? I can’t remember the schedule.”
“Pasta salad.”
“Do we have any of that left?”
“In the fridge. Feel free to help yourself.”
Emma picks up a cookie from the half-empty platter next to her. “You know that I will.”
“A cookie before dinner? Are we celebrating something?”
Emma laughs and takes another bite. “Just having a good day is all.” “Well, kid, I hope that continues for you.”
-/-
“Hello?” Emma calls out as she pushes open the front door of Jones Brothers’ Boating. The obnoxious as hell bell goes off, so everyone downstairs should be able to hear that someone has come inside, but no one comes out of any of the offices, not even Skipper.
Huh.
“Killian,” she says as she starts walking down the hallway. “KJ! Are you around?”
There’s still no answer, and when Emma checks the back offices, there’s no one in any of them. She decides to walk up the stairs to the apartment, but when she tries to turn the knob, she realizes that it’s locked.
She’s got a key, could easily let herself in, but if the apartment is locked, that means no one is home.
Where the hell are they?
Emma pulls her phone out of her back pocket and hits Killian’s name. It rings once, twice, several more times, and then his voicemail message comes up.
Well, damn.
This is probably why she should have called first, but Killian never texted her back about the two of them getting dinner. He’s almost always free, and if he isn’t, they’re usually plans she can join in on, but he’s obviously MIA tonight.
Emma swipes through her phone again and calls Elsa.
“Hello?” Elsa questions.
“Hey, Elsa. Have you heard from Killian today?”
“He’s in the back of the ice cream shop. Do you need him?”
“Why is he in the back?”
Elsa groans, and then Emma hears some kind of curse that definitely didn’t come from Elsa. “One of my machines broke today, and when Leroy couldn’t fix it, Killian said he’d give it a go. I don’t think it’s working out for him. Hold on. Let me get him for you.”
“Oh, you don’t have – ”
“Killian,” Elsa yells, her voice booming through the speakers, “Emma is looking for you.”
“Fuck,” he mumbles.
Well, that sounds pleasant.
“I’m pretty sure she could hear that,” Elsa laughs.
“Aye, I know. I didn’t text her back about dinner. Give me the phone.” There are a few hushed murmurings, and then Killian’s voice comes in clearer. “Sorry, love. I’m afraid I can’t get dinner tonight.”
“Oh, well, that’s okay. I’ll pick something up and bring it to Elsa’s.”
She hears him click his tongue, and she’s probably imagining things, but she swears that he’s silent for a few seconds too long. “You don’t have to do that. We can do it another night.” “It’s really not a problem. I’m at your place right now, anyways. I can get us salads from Zoey’s. Does that sound good to you?”
“Uh, yeah. That’s fine. I’m not really sure when I’ll have time to eat.”
“Well, maybe my brain power will help us figure out how to fix the machine.”
“Yeah, maybe.”
“You okay?” Emma asks, suddenly worried she’s overstepping here.
Does he not want her to come over?
No, that would be ridiculous.
“I’m perfect, love,” Killian sighs, his voice audibly more upbeat now. “I’ll see you when you get here, aye?”
“Yeah, see you when I get there.”
-/-
Elsa’s store is a mess.
Well, the front is still perfect. All of the round tables are clean and perfectly in their spots, the black and white as classic as it always is, and Elsa is still serving customers and doing custom orders for cakes and birthdays. She’s on the phone when Emma walks in, but she smiles and nods to the door that leads to the back of the store.
It is decidedly not perfect.
Mostly because it looks like Killian has taken one of Elsa’s machines apart piece by piece and he has no idea how to put it back together.
His hair is pushed off his forehead, sticking in at least thirty-seven different directions, and his t-shirt is sticking to his skin from his sweat.
He might be the only person to ever sweat here since it’s usually the coldest place in town.
Elsa’s air-conditioning bill must be insane.
“Hey,” Emma greets, putting their salads down on the table and walking up to Killian, pressing up on her toes to kiss him. He doesn’t kiss back at first, but then he’s there, his lips softly sliding over hers while his hand settles on her hip, squeezing her. “I’ve come to your rescue with food and another set of hands.”
“You’re my savior, love.”
“I know.” She kisses him again, this time much briefer, before sitting down on one of the chairs Elsa keeps back here. “Where’s Liam? Why is he not helping?”
“I’m better with fixing things. He’s manning the shop.”
“No one was there when I stopped by.” “What time was that?”
“A little after seven.”
Killian nods and pulls his salad out of the bag. “He was taking Skipper out. Thanks for this, by the way.”
“Not a problem. You think you’re going to be able to fix this?”
“I think I’m nearly there. I’ve tested it out a few times, but it’s all been for naught. Elsa is going to bloody kill me if I keep giving her hope and then take it away.”
Emma pulls their salads out of the bag, taking the lid off hers and pouring some dressing on before putting the lid back so she can shake it. “She’s got the other machines, though. Can’t she still make flavors?”
“Aye,” Killian sighs as he starts tinkering with the machine, “and she’s got a pretty good stock of all of the flavors. It’s not an emergency, but she wanted me to look at it before she called someone to come fix it. It apparently does not come cheap.”
“Look at you coming to the rescue. Getting those brownie points.”
“And access to the freezer.”
“That will balance well with our salads.” Emma stabs some lettuce with her fork. “You will never guess who was dining at the club today.”
“Cindy Crawford.”
“What?” Emma laughs as she takes a bite. “Why would Cindy Crawford be there? Also, that is the most random guess.”
Killian pokes his head out from behind the machine. “You said to guess. You didn’t say it had to be reasonable.”
“Okay, a reasonable guess then.”
“August Booth.”
“No, but that would be interesting. Is he back in town?”
“I have heard the rumor. So, who was dining at the club today?”
“Neal.”
Killian drops whatever tool he’s using, and it bangs against ice cream maker before clattering against the floor and landing near her foot. “Fuck.”
“Exactly my thoughts,” Emma laughs, kicking the screwdriver back to him. “But, you know, it wasn’t that bad. He was an asshole, of course, but it felt kind of good telling him to fuck off. He told me he thought we were sleeping together, which he apparently told you at the fair.”
“Uh, yeah, he did mention that. I denied it, of course.”
“He was always jealous of you. I don’t know why, but he hated when we spent time together.”
“Well, love, I am devilishly handsome. That’s bound to make any man jealous.” Emma rolls her eyes. She can’t see Killian’s face, but she just knows he’s smirking. “None of our actual friends have picked up on it, so there’s no way in hell Neal actually would. He doesn’t pay enough attention to me, never has.” Emma takes another bite and slams her hand down on the table. “But you know what? I don’t care. He can do whatever he wants, because I’m moving on. I’m happy and busy and life is pretty damn good even if I do have to take you as my date to your brother’s wedding.”
She keeps eating, waiting for Killian to say something, to tease her really, but she just hears him muttering to himself as he keeps working.
“You’re still cool with that, right? I know you said you’d love to, but you know, if you start dating someone else, go with her. I don’t mind going by myself.”
Killian pops out from behind the machine and walks toward her, leaning over the table and placing a soft, lingering kiss on her forehead. “There is no one I’d rather go with than you, love.”
“You don’t have to. Seriously. You know our deal.”
His beard scratches over her forehead, and he pulls away. “I know. I’d still be honored to go with you.” He sits down across from her as he opens up his salad. She gets distracted watching him. The lighting in here is all fluorescents, and it shouldn’t be flattering, but Killian’s tan still shows up, his eyes are still ridiculously blue, and there’s still something so charming about his smile. She watches it as it falls into a flat line, almost curving down into a frown, but then she sees the curve tick upward. “I’m glad you’re happy, Emma. I’ve always wanted that for you.”
She nods, unsure of what to say. “You too, KJ. You know what would make me extra happy?”
“What?” “If you could steal me some of Elsa’s birthday cake ice cream later.”
“Your heart’s desire, love. That’s all I want you to have.”
