does anyone have like an anti aesthetic. like something you look at and can recognize as a complete fashion/interior design/artistic movement and understand it but it makes you shudder seeing it. i am not talking like “its morally bad” “its poorly structured” like just sheerly devoid of joy for you actually invites a repulse response.

i was searching up shadow milks sprites on the wiki (for reference) and i found something interesting

when the eye is closed, its the eye of truth. when opened, its deceit meaning that you are opening your eyes to deceit, which is opposite to the more usually referenced "open your eyes to the truth" idiom but it can also imply that the truth is only your truth until you open your eyes to all the lies that surrounds you. the truth is a lie, a sweet and white lie, but still a lie. and also, who usually keeps their eyes closed?

no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

Also. ALSO. I noticed a while ago that Prowl has the habit of..like…constantly frowning. So. I did a bit of research and made this graph.

In 70 chapters, Prowl frowns rougly 104 times. And the intensity of this gesture is very clearly correlated with the development of his relationship with Jazz, as you can see ahahahahah It might be wrong tho don’t take me seriously I’m not good with graphs

I think people underestimate how simultaneously reactivating and healing that Slay the Princess can be.

The game is unabashedly anti-abuse, and deconstructs various unhealthy dynamics and behaviors through beautiful, reality-distanced plots.

The characters are shaped by their trauma and forced to interact the best they can under the circumstances, and depict a lot of deronanticization of things like rescue, love at first sight, victim blaming, post-victim lash-outs, and white knighting. It’s an extremely helpful tool of showing what really happens when you bleed out for someone else, push back your feelings, or project onto others.

But it also shows that pain in healthy dosages is a part of being human. You can move on if you’ve hurt as a result of being hurt. It doesn’t define your future. And sure, not everyone will forgive you. Many actions taken simply aren’t justifiable under any means, and the game calls you out for it. You can move on while changing your actions, or else get worse from it if you so desire. It’s extremely human.

Heyy Ego how do u draw Grim so cute? Like I have been trying to draw him for awhile now but everytime I do he ended up looking like a potato sack🫠 Do you have any tips?

aww, but his potato sackiness is one of his most endearing features! though I do tend to draw him a little shorter than his real proportions, 'cause I do think he's kinda cuter that way. get that bigger head-to-body ratio for maximum adorableness. :B
