hey fun fact! My university now requires students to use a Mobile ID, an app on their phone, instead of an ID card. Some international students are able to get an ID card, but otherwise you have to use Mobile ID. ID cards are used: to buy food in the cafeteria, to pick up mail, to enter your dorm building, and I'm sure other things I don't know about because I only work in residential. If a student's phone dies, or breaks, or gets lost? they're shit out of luck!!!!

theres bikes around the city you can rent but you have to use an app that needs your drivers license. theres buses that drive right to your destination, but if you dont have change you need the app. you can wash your car here if you sign into the app. you can go to the bathroom here you just have to unlock it with the app that needs your location on. you can order at this restaurant if you scan the code and download the app. im losing my freaking mind

i have genuinely seen people say that joking that people should miss work is “out of touch and disgusting” and that they’re taking advantage of their ND fans by pushing the fact it’s “exclusive and you don’t wanna miss out” because “they know we’ll do anything to buy it”… that is your OWN CHOICE what are we doing here. dan and phil likely aren’t the ones who decide what country the merch can ship to, they definitely don’t create the fees, they’re not exploiting or scamming or manipulating for the love of god the show will be free on youtube eventually. the idea that they simply shouldn’t charge because they’ve “made enough money” do you not know how businesses work they are not the only ones who get paid here

I know Heimerdinger's Christian Linke's favorite character, and I sort of tolerated it in s1, but now it feels like things are a little too indulgent. Heimerdinger gets to team up with Ekko to launder his reputation through Ekko and the Firelights. Heimerdinger gets the first narrative game and second character teaser in the promotional cycl. Heimerdinger gets to SING A SONG that's included on the s2 Arcane soundtrack (Spin the Wheel).

Maybe I'd be less annoyed if the show at least did more to acknowledge Heimerdinger's failings as a leader, but his character description can't even do that. This is how the official Arcane website describes Heimerdinger:

"Heimerdinger warned the Piltover Council about the dangers of using magic without tangible solutions for safeguarding its use. Learning from his mistakes with Jayce, Heimerdinger inspires Ekko to keep looking for a solution and works with him to solve the problem, instead of just offering advice."

That's not Heimerdinger's main problem! The problem is the fact he's the person most singularly responsible for the state of Zaun and Piltover. It feels like the show and the cast are just dancing around the fact that Heimerdinger technically has the highest body count in the show (Day of Ash, pollution, extreme poverty, etc). The one time someone puts him to task (Jayce), the show makes it seem like Jayce is wrong or overstepped, and yeah he did do it for Viktor's sake, but Jayce was right! Heimerdinger's bad at his job, he shouldn't be in a leadership position if he's a bad leader.

1) it’s hilarious. Misty throwing Natalie under the bus only for Natalie to drag her with her. Misty’s defence not really making things sound any better. The other yellowjackets reactions (particularly the way Van’s face just falls) to the news that Nat fucked Kevyn and Misty watched apparently. it’s all fucking hilarious to me

2) Nat references the whole fact that Misty gave her a secret camera without her knowing and then watched her have sex with a shocking amount of fondness? she’s a freak and into freaks, it’s why they’re perfect

3) without the context of the secret camera, it just sounds like mistynat decided that a cuckolding experience would really just add some spice to their dynamic

i never understood transphobes epic gotcha argument that "when archeologists dig up your bones they will sex you as xyz" or even the rebuttal of "idc what archeologists sex my bones as, what matters is how i lived" (which is valid too)

because to me the obvious answer is "why do you assume archeologists and scientists in the far future are all going to be cis transphobes and the culture will still be geared to ignore queerness" and "it is precisely up to historical science to figure out how you lived, failing that it would be shit science"
