The rest of Chapter 2, Aliza in Waterfall, will be released as a fully playable webgame instead of a comic in October. I understand this is quite different from past installments, but the truth is, Aliza's adventure actually comes to me much more clearly as a game for this chapter than a comic series. 

Chapter 2 of Book II has already been released to Patrons before I made this decision, and is very different from what the official story of Horrortale is to be. For $5 a month All of Chapter 2, Book II can be read here, along with a few more goodies about the upcoming game.

Amazingly, I have found the means to re-visit Horrortale as the game I had always envisioned it to be. You might remember what I mean; as in this popular mini web-game where Aliza ventures through Snowdin (you can try playing the flash game here) Most of my fans discovered me through that very webgame, and I feel it is time to re-attempt and answer the many, many calls to release another chapter in this medium.

As I busily work on this webgame, a future update will be released September 1st. I aim to complete this project completely by the month of October. 

I cannot thank you all enough for your interest and patience in the telling of this story. I am very aware of the wait in store for you after such a brief return. That is the way of truly independently-run passion projects created and released publicly by one person alone. Should the game fail, please know that I will absolutely return to telling the story in comic form ASAP.

The union leader and farmer Margarida Alves was killed in 1983, but continues to inspire women's struggle

Ninety-one years ago, on August 5, 1933, Margarida Maria Alves was born in the town of Alagoa Grande, in the state of Paraíba. A rural worker, union leader and activist for women's rights and agrarian reform in Brazil, Margarida – which means “daisy” in Portuguese – was one of the first women to chair a labor union in the country, the Rural Workers' Union in Alagoa Grande. During her tenure, she filed more than 600 labor lawsuits and was one of the most active voices in denouncing non-compliance with labor laws and precarious working conditions in the region's sugarcane mills. 

"Margarida was a strong woman, a very courageous person and a great fighter. She faced a fierce struggle against big landowners and persecutors of workers, because it wasn't easy at that time," said Margarida Alves' friend and fellow fighter Maria da Soledade Leite.

During Brazil’s military dictatorship (1964-1985), Margarida was undeterred by the threats of landowners and authoritarian rulers and continued to take action against the total absence of labor rights, long working hours, low pay and child labor in sugarcane plantations. She was also one of the founders of the Rural Workers' Education and Culture Center, alongside educator and patron of Brazilian education Paulo Freire. 

"It's better to die struggling than dying of hunger," Margarida Alves declared during the May 1st celebrations in 1983, just three months before she was murdered at the behest of landowners and outside her home. Her death, on August 12 of that same year, had repercussions in the trade union movement and among women's organizations in Paraíba. They began to demand justice and share her ideas, which ended up becoming a reference for trade unionism and Brazilian feminism. The crime remains unpunished.

Remake of Endless Void is better than the original: A big part of the fandom thinks that this is true for various reasons. On my side, both versions are good! ^^

"And I know it's just a rumour" phrase: this has been a recurring phrase in the SATShakers' music, having appeared once in every album from Ying Yang on

Ying Yang was gonna be named different: The album and song were both gonna have different names. One of the chosen names for the album was "Good and Evil" but they changed it since there was already an album under that name; on the topic of the song, it's previous names were "As Double-sided", "Good and Evil" and "good-and-evil-intro-song.mp3"

A Little Too Normal first album covers: This album was gonna have a different cover than the one we know, which is a face made up with pieces of all the members' faces and hair. Most of the unchosen album covers were arrangements of facial features (like the chosen one) but differently.

Rita and Xandra were part of the group: The first 2 years of existence of SATS had the 4 main members and also Rita on backing vocals. I, Xandra, was on the band till the year and 2 months, I played the keyboards and occasionally was the main singer (very few times tho)

The first logo of SATS: The logo used to be a plain, vertically stretched text in lowercase that said "scarlett and the shakers :P" , it was changed after 3 years.

Unreleased songs: These songs were made by SATS and never got into any album. For example, WHAT THE HELL?!, which is the first and only song they made sung by a Vocasyn.

Fans that say "SHAKEREFERENCE!!!1!!1!!11!!" : This is something that the people in the fandom do when they see something that's, in some way, related to SATS.

www.sats-officiaI.com: This is a fake version of the SATS website. Even though it looks like the real one, the L in official is actually an uppercase i. The fake website was taken down after a fan informed Clover about it.

Shady Business Tactics was gonna be in Well-behaved: This is a song that Clover released in her solo album Sushi Salmonella. The song was gonna be in Well-behaved but it didn't make the cut since it didn't fit in with the other songs

Lost Vocasyn covers: On the 1st year of existence on the band, SATS covered some Vocasyn songs. Most of these covers are lost and we only know of their existence because of Vocarank clips. Some of the lost covers are Alix of human sacrifice, Kyu kyurain, One more roll, I'm sorry I'm sorry, Kitsune's marriage, Stop nagging me! and Melt.

Canceled collab with Doom Bruleé: When the band was starting (2 years after SATS), Scarlett proposed a collaboration between SATS and Doom Bruleé. Orion rejected the proposal due to unknown reasons.

The debut album was considered lost media: It was released in 2005 and simply called Scarlett and The Shakers. After 2 more album releases and seeing it wasn't successful, SATS deleted all trace of their debut album on the internet. The problem is that the fans wanted to listen to the album even though it was lost. Hopefully, Rudy had the entire album on a pendrive, which he shared on a forum and posted on UTube.

Extras!

Rudy and Scarlett got beaten up recording a MV: On the recording of the music video for Bad Night, Scarlett and Rudy were beaten up after recording the part where the whole band holds umbrellas outside. Rudy got a black eye and Scarlett lost a tooth and was bleeding out of her mouth a bunch. They ended up recovering well, but no more MV for SATS songs were recorded outside.

20 seconds of Tohru: These are mini segments included in the episodes of The Shakers' Internet Show. They mostly include Tohru goofing around doing her own things, like cooking!

SATS reference in a videogame OST: The 6th release of the videogame series Touhou Project has a song where one of the parts sounds like the guitar solo in WHAT THE HELL?! . The song in the OST is And then there were none!.

Everyone in the band has side projects: All the current members of Scarlett and The Shakers have side projects related to music. Rudy goes under the name Ruru and released Broken swing, Clover has released Sushi Salmonella under her own name, Marty has a UTube channel for guitar covers of various songs, and Scarlett made an album collaboration with Carlo called Foodini's Fabulous Fashion Flambé.

Blake was often the first one up and the last one to go to bed. They were the one in charge of their little business, so Ryo and Az were often asleep before Blake considered themself done for the day. Waking up early meant a couple hours of uninterrupted sewing, and going to sleep late, meant… Well, nothing much, actually, just quiet. It was odd to think that in the past they would have preferred the quiet, but their partners had managed to insert themselves into every corner of Blake’s life, and honestly, they didn’t mind too much.

What was even odder, was the fact that as Blake woke up, the house was very much not quiet. 

They kicked off the sheets as fast as they could and stumbled out of their shared bed, which was unusually empty. It wasn’t until they got to the door that they realized the sounds were laughter. Azin was laughing, probably at something Ryo had said or done, and Blake could just about picture her with her head thrown back and holding a hand to her chest. Their chest filled with warmth, and they went down the stairs two steps at a time.

They caught a glimpse of Ryo’s ashen hair through the kitchen’s doorway and walked in on both of them plating a rich breakfast. Az noticed them first and smiled at them, followed by Ryo who turned around. Now Blake understood why Az had been laughing, as Ryo was carefully balancing a rose between his teeth and it made him look silly.

“What are you doing?” Blake found themself smiling as they grabbed the rose and put it aside. Ryo rewarded them with a soft peck to the lips.

“Happy birthday!” Azin exclaimed, bringing them into a soft hug as she peppered kisses on their face until Blake was grumbling but couldn’t hide their smile anymore.

“Stop, stop.” They gave her a soft push and rewarded her with a small kiss on the lips when she let go, to which she beamed. “Is it June 1st already? Thank you, but why are you up so early?”

Azin loved sleeping in, and Ryo was always happy to cuddle her until she was ready to get up. It was unusual to see them both awake so early and not looking like they were half-dead.

“We made you breakfast!” Ryo stepped aside, letting them take a good look at all the plates on the table. It was definitely a bit too much, but knowing they had disrupted their routine just for them meant it didn’t matter they were going to be eating the same meal for the rest of the day.

“You’re gonna have to go get groceries after this, you know?” Blake raised an eyebrow, giving them both the best reprimanding look they could manage. Of course, Azin and Ryo did not buy into it, and squeezed them into a hug that effectively shut them up. 

Blake tried protesting the imprisoning hug, but eventually gave up and let the two of them have their moment. 

“Thank you,” they said after a little bit, quietly, but knew they had both heard them when the arms around them tightened for a fraction of a second. “I’m hungry though, shall we eat?”

Ryo chuckled and was the first to let them go, followed by Az. The food did end up lasting them the entire day after all.

A grand jury has indicted two former Uvalde school police officers in the botched law enforcement response to the 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary school that left 19 children and two teachers dead, two Texas state government sources with knowledge of the indictment told CNN Thursday. Former Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Police Chief Pete Arrendondo and former school police officer Adrian Gonzales were named in the indictments, which represent the first criminal charges filed in the school massacre. The two officers face felony charges of abandoning and endangering a child, Uvalde District Attorney Christina Mitchell told the Uvalde Leader-News, and one of them was expected to surrender later Thursday. The indictments were not immediately available from the Uvalde County District Court clerk’s office. Family members of the victims have been meeting with the DA’s office to discuss the results of the months-long grand jury investigation, according to Brett Cross, the guardian of 10-year-old Uziyah Garcia, one of the fourth graders killed in the shooting rampage. Earlier this year, the US Justice Department released a damning report that concluded law enforcement officers had many opportunities to reassess their flawed response to the May 24, 2022 shooting at Robb Elementary School. Bursts of gunfire, reports a teacher had been shot and then a desperate call from a student trapped with the gunman could – and should – all have prompted a drive to stop the bloodshed far sooner, said the report. Instead, it took 77 minutes from when the 18-year-old shooter walked into Robb Elementary School until he was stopped. The carnage remains among the deadliest episodes in America’s ongoing scourge of campus shootings.
