Currently loosing my mind (again) over the Vegaspete scene by the pool side

The whole scene is blue, pete's blue, because even if Vegas is the one with the gun to his chin it's still Pete who has all the power, all the control. He's the one who decide, Vegas has given himself entirely to Pete and it's shown even in the colour theme I love that drama.

Pete gets to decide what happens to Vegas, that's why Vegas stops right away and doesn't try again. Because Pete is here and he's telling him to stop and he can't die if Pete is telling him not to, even if he's not ready to believe Pete has chosen him and that's why he's here, even if he can't accept that Pete would want him to stay by his side.

Pete said stop, so Vegas stops.

And that simple facts his shown by the light being nothing but blue.

It's the first Vegaspete scene all in blue. We have had mix, blue, red and purple, we had scene entirely in Vegas' red, danger green, peacefull yellow, we've had them all but blue. This is the moment where Pete has the control and keeps it, this is the moment where he uses his power over Vegas for the first time willingly, and Vegas lets him. There is not the equality of the golden light, the warmth of it, it isn't balanced. It's Vegas giving himself over to Pete entirely.

Just a beautiful blue scene.

sometimes i randomly remember how insane maggie stiefvater was for making ronan lynch—a man that can create reality—a man of god, when he himself is a god of a man. then to take this man and have him be not only in love with, but a literal soulmate of a man named adam. parrish. adam parrish. who, mind you, lives above ronan's very own place of worship. and is the namesake of the first of mankind that the bible says god made from the literal dust of the ground (adam parrish: comes from nothing, hair "dusty" in color) and appoints him to care for the garden of eden (adam parrish: sacrifices himself to ronan's sentient forest). then has adam viewing ronan as a god and ronan saying "maybe he dreamt (created)" adam???? like who just fucking writes that and goes about their life?
