I haven’t even fully watched Last Twilight (I think I’m on episode 2 lol) but I’ve kept up with all the gifs and metas and let me say I am ANGRY at Day after the snippets I’ve gotten on tumblr about breaking up with Mhork. I hope they don’t get back together in episode 12 because let’s be real, that boy deserves better!!! I hope Day realizes his mistake but it’s too late because he hurt Mhork so deeply. Mhork literally gave Day his heart and soul and explained all of his raw trauma and then Day threw it on the ground and stomped on it just because of his own insecurities!!! I’m so angry I don’t think I’m going to enjoy actually watching the show because I’m just going to be glaring at Day the whole time. I hope Mhork goes to Hawaii and finds happiness and Day reflects on his life 😤

MA, I can't encourage you to finish it or not. That's not my style. But I know Aof deserves my watch. He has given me great show after great show and all have featured excellent queer stories. Not only has he written some of these shows, he has directed them as well as produced even more!

I respect Aof.

Which is why even though Only Friends is in Petty Prison and I hated it unlike others who greatly enjoyed it, I finished it because Jojo, much like Aof, has given me so many other great watching experiences like The Warp Effect and 3 Will Be Free. Because what is one bad moment in the grand scheme of Jojo's career or Aof's outstanding career?

And here is the other thing:

I hated Bad Buddy.

Which was also from Aof. I hated it while watching it when Pat was shot on Christmas Eve. I hated when it was done because of that "breakup" at the end of episode 11 and the continued ruse in episode 12 even though the audience had been in on all their shenanigans up until that point. I hated that it was paired with Aof's masterpiece A Tale of Thousand Stars in the Our Skyy installments just so I would have to see Pat and Pran keep pretending they weren't in a relationship even they were actively watching a queer couple breaking up. And I'll always hate it.

But the crowd loved it.

So . . . I believe the crowd is going to love the ending of Last Twilight too while I'm still chilling here six years from now mad about the ending of episode 11 since I'm petty.

I hold grudges and water them daily like plants in a garden. Be My Favorite forgave Knot even though he was awful every second of his screen time. *points hose in its direction* Teh stayed messing up in I Told Sunset About You then had the audacity to cheat in I Promised You the Moon. *blasts some water in its direction* Team needed therapy in Between Us not sex. *turns sprinkler on* HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count exists. *dumps a bucket of water on the ground*

Perhaps wait until the last episode has aired and check the tags. I assure you there will be plenty of people who love it. They will be singing the shows praises and how amazing the narrative was. People will be laughing about how we even questioned the genius of the show after this episode instead of trusting the process.

But as for me, hopefully Night and Phojai are getting married and the simple fact that I am rooting harder for the hets in a BL finale should tell y'all all you need to know about my petty ass.

I can't believe it's almost been a year since AW2 was released. It really changed my life. For better or for worse? Who can say, but I've been having fun.

lol it's so surreal to me that it's been less than a year that I bought and played Alan Wake 2 (one month past release, in November) purely on a whim because I saw people on the silent hill subreddit talking about it and someone even made a meme about "friendship ended with silent hill now alan wake is my new best friend" and I kid you not within just a few days my life just...changed entirely.

I have a lot of depression and anxiety and somewhere in 2023 things just...went wrong and I stopped creating. stopped giffing, never thought I'd write again and drawing lmao forget it, that shit's been hard for me to do ever since a very discouraging experience back when I was maybe like, 11 or 12. stopped going on tumblr, had given up on discord a long time before then and became a miserable ghost doing nothing but burying myself in work in what i will admit is a toxic, overwhelming and stressful environment. I still played games, still watched shows but nothing was like. Sticking with me, I guess? Not like to obsession levels and minus some good vacations I was just...empty.

And playing Alan Wake 2 for the first time was a legit terrifying experience for me--not on the levels of the first time I played Silent Hill 2 maybe (legit locked myself in my room and put on my lamp in the middle of the day cause of the sound of footsteps behind me in that game lol and my dishwasher at the time sounded like that one chugging sound in the apartments) but the dread I was feeling as I got legitimately lost in the woods of Cauldron Lake and turned around in Coffee World (having basically explored it all before triggering the parts where the enemies spawn in) and the basement of Valhalla Nursing Home was thrilling and I was excited to be playing something that was so disturbing and mind bending and emotional, too. Not even knowing the story of Alan and Alice, my heart broke during Alice's final tape. Not knowing Alan's character outside of what I saw in the second game, his "fuck it" moment where he went back into the Dark Place felt so heroic. I felt an odd sense of nostalgia watching the Koskela brothers commercials, like I had known them my whole life. Alex Casey (both the FBI agent and fictional detective) is my favorite kind of wise-cracking guy who has a heart of gold, the old guy who I wish could be my dad. Tom Zane was that mysterious wild card that you know under the surface has something sinister, unsettling esp with his manipulation of Alan but is just so fascinating to watch. Of course I saw so much of my obsessive self in Rose with her shrine for Alan. Saga's time in the dark place felt so real to me, I cried and still cry every time I read that note from her mom at that part of the game (I know you can read it sooner but it packs a bigger punch with Saga's fight to get out of her own mind.) All of the characters quickly stole my heart and ran with it and maybe it was over a few days, maybe it was all at once the floodgates just...opened within me.

I started writing again. First with a character that I never thought I'd write for again because at the time, even just thinking about him legit hurt me. Then I started scheming up fics for Alan. Then I started giffing even from self-captured gameplay footage that I don't think I've ever done before. Then I started drawing in my Alan Wake journal--a journal which, I had not done since the peak of my CSI obsession during my teenage years and even then it wasn't to the extent of what that journal is now (which admittedly, has not been filled out in quite a number of weeks and maybe that's partially cause I tend to journalize myself on here too) And then one day I couldn't contain it anymore. I started sharing again. I don't talk to anybody really like, ever outside of these asks and occasional replies but I truly never thought I'd be part of a fandom again. I worried I'd fuck it all up again (still worry about that) for myself, or others. Or both. But all the kind messages, the kind tags, the awesome people I've started following because of Alan Wake, I wouldn't give any of that up.

And of course things branched off, crushing so hard on him I got obsessed with Ilkka. I played some of Remedy's other games (still working my way through Max Payne 2 and Quantum Break very very slowly) and went back to the first Alan Wake, of course which if I had known about earlier or had an Xbox I'm sure I would have loved it back then as much as I do now. Hell I even platinumed that and Alan Wake 2 and as someone who is notorious for not finishing games other than like. The Legend of Zelda series and playing some other endless games...think it says something that I've managed to beat and complete (I always do the rhymes, stashes, lunch boxes, every playthrough) Alan Wake 2 almost 10 times now.

I was happy. I'm still, for the most part when I'm not at work, happy. Call it what you want, a delusion brought on by a distraction of obsession, a dangerous escape threatening the part of me that is still rooted in reality in the way that like, what if I become too crazy about it where it blinds me to certain things or experiences or chases people away from me because I'm too weird about it (a very real thing that has happened before)

But damn with all of that...I'm having fun with it too.

Supercorp!! I don't think it's a controversial ship, lol.

5. What was your first fandom, and how old were you?

My first obsession (and still greatest love) was Xena. I started watching the show a few episodes into season 1, when I was 6 years old. It was very formative.

That said, I didn't really get involved in any fandom communities until Supercorp (in early 2022).

6. What is your most unhinged fandom creation to date?

I don't think I get super unhinged, but as a pilot I did like creating this dumb incorrect quote.

7. Do you remember what started you off creating fandom content, and if so, what was it?

I was getting frustrated at not being able to find certain types of fics, and it struck me that... I was allowed to write my own.

8. Do you let people you know in real life see your fandom creations?

Yup! My partner read my first two fics in support, and several of my IRL friends have read at least one of my fics because I didn't have the good sense to keep that information to myself when I was getting started. It's mortifying lol. But my friends are very cool people.

9. How do you feel about fanworks of fanworks? Has anyone ever made something based on a thing you made?

Fanworks of fanworks are amazing!!! I've been incredibly lucky to have that happen three times (post), and gotten asked for permission for a different continuation and a podfic that may eventually happen.

10. What feeling do you most often try to evoke with your creations?

Angst. Longing. Bits of compassion too.

11. Has someone ever paid your work a compliment (in any form) that has stuck with you, and what was it?

I love each and every one of my commenters ❤️

Honestly, the compliments that stick with me most are "I came back to reread this" or "this idea is still living rent-free in my head" type comments. I think that's what all writers and artists want - to feel that their art lasted in someone's mind beyond the first time seeing it.

12. What’s your favourite thing someone else has made that you’ve seen in the last 24 hours (and link it if you can find it again!)

Technically it was more than 24hrs ago but this art by @awaitingrain is so fucking cute!!

I have 5 WIPs! I'm very confident I'll finish them all.

17. what’s the longest it’s ever taken you to finish a fandom project?

I guess my worldkiller Kara fic took a bit over 3 months, though part of that was spacing with the Supercorp Big Bang.

I tend to write fast. One of the things I'm actually trying to do is slow down to fill out the story a bit more.

I totally engage in fanart from other fandoms that cross my dashboard, particularly korrasami. I don't tend to read fanfic of stuff I haven't engaged in, though.

oof ok so favorite episode is so hard to narrow down, especially since the show lasted 15 years.

this is gonna be a long ass post so it's going under tags lol

from season 1 it would have to be a tie between Skin and Shadow

in season 2 it's Playthings, Born Under a Bad Sign and of course ALBL 1 &2

in season 3 while it's a short season it's still a good season and this one is kinda hard for me to narrow down a favorite

I would have to say that one i saw a lot of on tv and one i do back to a lot is A Very Supernatural Christmas but I also love Bad Day at Black Rock, Sin City, and Mystery Spot but only because that episode is a little glimpse into soulless!sam

season 4 jfc season 4 has a TON of good episodes like I really love that season.

The way everything with Sam and the demon blood leads up to Lucifer being set free is just ugh, fav season tbh like apart from season 1. i can honestly watch the first 4 seasons and not skip an episode.

season 5, again another season I love, but what comes to mind automatically is Sam Interrupted and Dark Side of the Moon, and Swan Song.

season 6 season of all time once more lol i loved soulless!sam although i have read about some people not liking it, i personally loved it but that's just me.

fav episodes of that season are You Can't Handle the Truth, Appointments in Samarra, Like a Virgin, Unforgiven, The French Mistake, and The Man Who Knew Too Much

agh ok i'm gonna lay off the gifs for now and just go through the rest of the seasons without them lol

season 7 is honestly one of my all time favorites because Sam suffers so beautifully and i loved the hallucinations and dean telling him to make him stone number one and the hand scar waaay too damn much.

What i didn't like about that season was Cas, I felt his story should have ended there.

Season 8 is another good one because there is SOOOO much to unpack there.

Sam turns to reckless behavior and drinking and is stuck in that odd situationship with Amelia. I honestly hated that for him but at the same time it was somewhat fitting?

She lost her husband, he lost his brotherhusband, her husband came back from when he was presumed dead, Dean came back after also being presumed dead.

I would have loved it better if she were a figment of Sam's imagination or if she treated him horribly and the reason the flashbacks were fuzzy and rose tinted was because she was such a bad person but again thats me.

That season is so heartbreakingly frustrating and then we get Sacrifice.

Dean's still an asshole to me but he panicked enough to realize he was being a dick but only because that meant losing Sam.

Season 9 ok first off Jared choosing to play Gadreel a certain way and using iambic pentameter for his manner of speaking was amazing.

Tahmoh Penikett hadn't even had a chance to film anything as Gadreel and chose to go off how Jared was playing him and I loved it.

but for that season i love I Think I'm Gonna Like it Here, Dog Dean Afternoon, Bad Boys, First Born, The Purge and Do You Believe in Miracles.

season 10- ok this could have been better if they made Demon!Dean more OBSESSED with Sam than trying to pull away and hide from him.

If they weren't cowards they could have had Demon!Dean trying to turn Sam into the Boy King and have them both rule hell and it would have been awesome.

what kills anything for me storyline wise is anything to do with the angels, i don't care about Cas and Hannah and the different factions. you could take them away from the season and it wouldn't change anything on Sam and Dean's storyline.

People tend to forget its the Sam and Dean show, not the show based on the extra casts.

Season 11 gave us Baby, Just My Imagination, Into the Mystic, Beyond the Mat(the miz was in that episode lol) Red Meat, The Chitters, and Alpha and Omega. brother feels wise its a good season.

season 12 apart from the BMOL and the writers botching on writing Mary Winchester i did enjoy it, I just wish they would have written her a little bit better.

season 13 gave us Jack and Mommy!Sam i wish i could find the gif of Jensen saying that Jared makes a great wet nurse and Jared has said that he's built like a fridge filled with milk.

i dont discuss that horrible wire fight and the Thriller blue eyes Dean has at the end because its dumb as fuck and i remember saying what the fuck is this? well i actually said que chingas es esto because it made me speak spanish lolol

Season 14 gave us Sam's grief beard which i love, Mint Condition, Prophet and Lost, Damaged Goods, Lebanon, just 🥰🥰🥰🥰

season 15 was kinda hit and miss in the sense it felt weird because its like the writers kinda stopped caring and maybe thats just me but it felt weird and i'm still bitter they all forgot Sam's powers after Kripke left and they got the new writers.

but i did love Atomic Monsters, Proverbs 17:3, and of course Carry On.

15 years is a lot episodes, time, and energy to put into a show and the fact i saw it as a teenager to as an adult with a kid is such a trip but Supernatural is a huge part of me and i will forever hold this show near and dear to my heart.

Things I Noticed While Writing Light The Fuse: Part 12, Episode 5

The battles I fought to get this extended episode, so this one is going to be special, I'm actually going to compare scenes and alternate takes this time~ As such, all my gifs will be in full widescreen to get all the details and love in there 🥰

I actually think Rita was pregnant with Lyla here, which is why he asked, obviously not very far along, and she doesn't seem concerned, so I set this about ten years ago as I wrote. Checking now, Lyla's actress was around 8 during filming, so my guess is that this takes place in 2010-11 or so. In my fic both Joel and Bru were done their turns by the time the war was over, so once Joel was done here, Bru came in, and then after him was Matty, who then proceeded to never leave ;w;

Not Phoenix or LtF related, but guys, when I was trying to come up with a rival gang for my s/i Addy to be a part of, I was gunna do something with roses obviously since that her last name/whole brand, and then this gang just is in the show. They're right there, and the rustiness makes me think of another great love of mine, Silent Hill, and when I got to this ep I started choking and screaming like it's so perfect I might as well already be in there

Okay I wanna talk about Joel here for a sec since he's a Phoenix at the moment and it counts. We know that Katherine disappeared roughly ten years ago, cause that's another vague date that was mentioned a couple times in her scenes, both 10 and 8 come up, and that's why I set this scene specifically back ten, ignoring Lyla's actual irl age.

If Joel had already done his business with Burt by now, he doesn't seem too bothered by it, plus he's still a Phoenix, so in my head it hasn't happened yet. At the same time, they're already going around trying to get the other gangs to join their tax deal, which is what Burt did after the betrayal, right? So again, in my head, here's how this all went down seeing as I skipped this part in the fic entirely in place of Avron's flashback, so this part will come as the fic progresses and Johnson talks to them. Everything's already been mentioned loosely, so here's my full timeline that I've been working around just based on this scene and those others.

Ten years ago, Joel was a Phoenix, brought on and found by Burt. While there, he met Rita, and they fell in love and had Lyla. Burt asks Joel for his help with the fake betrayal when he can't get as many other gangs to join, cause this courtesy call doesn't seem very terrifying and what Joel says they should be afraid of, and having his trust is what makes him a Brawler. Rita eventually then leaves while Lyla is still young, as she wanted to get out, and they officially split. Around this time war is now being threatened/going on, and this is when Alice also gets out (not a spoiler cause I've had a few characters mention it already, although she is still a mystery).

Bru comes in before she leaves, and when she's gone a bunch of other quick Phoenixes cycle through to bring up the numbers for war, along with my character Dusty, who then had something with Johnson. After the war ends, Johnson rides the river alone for a while because all the other Phoenixes are now Brawlers, and he's a little safer to continue business alone; it's three years after this scene when he picks up Matty on the side of the road while heading back, and it's all history from there.

Alternate take here, instead of the full follow we get a very lovely shot of Johnson, I love having both versions 🥰

I can't decide if I like the idea of the Phoenixes being created just for the Brawlers, or if their gang was so small that they were hired entirely, forever stuck under them or else they'd be obliterated. I already have the starts in my mind, I know for sure how most of it goes, I just need to decide on this final bit 🤔 and this is super fast but watch Johnson, he steals a drink from that girl fuckin lmao

The way he says all this makes me think that either they're 100 miles up the river back at the 707, or they're actually going around telling everyone to pay up and bringing the war to them (which weirds up Joel and my timeline), and this really is a courtesy call before they head to wherever they're parked for the night. Might not've been great for them to drive up to either after the beating they're about to get oop

Oh to have Johnson toss me a lighter with a lil tongue click to get my attention 🥰 Joel's also so banged up, this makes me think they've been doing this all day maybe and this is just another/the last stop for the night, with little success

I love hard cuts so much. What happened to Joel the Mover here, he kicked so much ass it got him that name and he couldn't even fight a man as part of his job. It's funny how incredibly different these scenes are played, with her instantly accepting it and then driving him to safety, to them having steamy makeouts while he's got a knife in his side and Johnson's just thirdwheeling in the backseat lmao also his arm! It's naked!

I'm in love with you. I'm also in the backseat confessing my love right now. He got hit right in the forehead with that skate and he can't even smoke and he's beautiful.

I also really love how incredibly talkative he was this entire scene! I wonder if he talked more back then, and then just got used to Matty saying everything, or if he just talks more around the other Phoenixes, cause he only talks to the Monster Ring first to get Ethan back and that's it, the rest is all to Matty and Ethan outside of being alone with Burt and speaking up Doris because the others wouldn't.

No other times with Joel, no Bru outside of the finale lie because Matty was nervous, or Queenie, no Meredith even, no Percy, no Bash, not even to Avron outside of that whistle. This man does not speak unless he has to, unless he's talking to Phoenixes, then he's got sparse comments galore.

Phew that was a big one, I wanted to get all of the changed stuff in here this time and I actually hit my limit right at the end and had to delete a screenshot to make room, can't end this one on anyone else other than Johnson ❤️

TAG GAME: EIGHT SHOWS TO GET TO KNOW ME

Here's a thing : I do not watch that many shows. Partly because I don't have time, partly because I am bad at watching shows because I need to be emotionally invested to get into them, and once I am ???? I can only watch that show in particular, on repeat. Yeah I'm a grown ass adult fight me.

Ripper Street : end all be all the best show on this list that is not at all in order of good from bad for real but this one tops everything. Period drama, awesome characters, delicate treatment of issues we are still struggling with nowadays with actually sometimes more decency from these 19th century Victorian men than 21st century people 🙃. Also misery misery misery feels and a fine dry humor that makes it the perfect match. Oh, and. Dead bodies and gore happens. Also there is something to the dialogue than I just absolutely love.

Daredevil (netflix) : of course this one has to be on the list, and I love it, and I love Matt and Karen and Foggy, and I wish S2 didn't exist. All this can coexist, you know (and I love Elektra and Elodie Yung she is absolutely NOT the problem). Please do not talk to me about She Hulk or the Disney reboot, thanks (gif to make people watch it, I like my men sad and guilty they can't save everyone and covered in blood, thank you). So yeah overall a show I love and have rewatched many times but nowadays... I feel kinda bad about it and it makes me sad.

Band of Brothers/The Pacific : you know me, you know why I like these shows (no it does not stop at "men in uniforms"). We did a rewatch of BoB recently and I think it's an easier watch than the Pacific, but I think I like the latter better even if everytime it makes me feel so bad. Doctor Who : just. Love it. Especially RDT era. Can't chose between 9 and 10 but the best is Jack Harkness

Good Omens : I need a rewatch. Just love it. I have nothing more to say, it's great.

Scrubs : probably one of these shows I shouldn't rewatch in case I cringe a little but when we first got together with Benj 11 years ago we just watched Scrubs on a loop. I don't especially like the characters but the show itself, which is kinda weird for me (except Dr Cox. I love him)

The Sandman : last show that blew my mind. Just love everything in it. Can't wait for S2. I had read some of the comics and loved it, too. Just realized that it's the second Neil Gaiman thing in this list (3 if we count that he wrote for Doctor Who lol) and I guess it says stuff about me too

Pushing Daisies : I have loved the contrast between the whole death thing and the colourful and happy sets and stuff. This show is cute and dark and funny and I love it and I need to rewatch too when I can. (Also? Tall cutie that meddles with the dead and bakes awesome pies? did I use Ned as a template for my OC without realising ??)

I don't think it counts as a show since it's an anime so it's a bonus but if you've been following me the last 6 months, you need to hear about Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood but not necessarily excluding 03. At all. Just watch it back to back. That'll do it. I love both.) (Yeah oddly enough I'm not crazy about the title character there but about THEM and of course you must have noticed)

hello! 👋🏻 I'm Hannah, a mid 30s woman with a massive love for everything Star Wars! I also enjoy a plethora of other nerdy things, including video games (mostly Nintendo), dungeons and dragons (huuuuuge Critical Role fan!!), other Disney franchises (including Marvel), and various cartoons (AtLA, Gravity Falls, TMNT, Transformers, just to name a few!). I'm the oldest of four, with my younger siblings being @jam-n-ham, @knight-tyme, and my social media averse brother LOL. I was diagnosed last year with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and it's been a very uplifting journey of recovery since then (am currently on Zoloft for the anxiety/depression, and it's been VERY helpful 💙). I'm very artistic and like writing, drawing, and making graphics. I also occasionally make gifs when the urge strikes; several of you have used them in various posts (you may have even seen some of my meme gifs during the TCW era LOL).

my passion project right now is a long-spanning self-insert series of stories set in the TBB show called "My Life With The Bad Batch". it stars, well, me, getting whisked away from my mundane life by our favorite group of defective clones and creating a new life for myself with them. there's romance, humor, drama, domestic fluff, and loooooots of hurt/comfort hehe. it's mostly canon compliant for now, but I feel like I might start veering away from canon come season 3 😅. I started writing the first story back at the end of 2021 and finished it midway into 2022; it was my first time ever finishing a long fanfic like that, and I'm very proud of it! the series now spans across 11 different stories and oneshots, with the twelfth currently in progress, and consists of nearly 270,000 words!! I've even made artwork for it! I haven't touched it since last spring, but I plan on picking it up again now that the hype for season 3 is at peak!! \o/

I've been a SW fan for most of my life, with the franchise in general being part of my entire life due to my parents being og fans (my mom was hype for ANH before it even came out!!). The Phantom Menace was my official intro to the franchise, so I have a huuuuuge affinity for the prequel era. TCW is one of my favorite shows of all time, and I adored the TBB episodes (even the unfinished version LOL). I admittedly was skeptical about an entire show about them, but I quickly fell in love all over again from the very first episode. the biggest surprise for me was Omega, as I wasn't sure if I'd like her or not from the trailers. she has now become not just one of my favorite SW characters, but one of my favorite characters period. the relationship between her and the boys is the best thing ever, especially between her and Hunter. speaking of which, despite Hunter being my favorite of the group from the very beginning, I didn't like, fall in love until the TBB show. and when I say fall in love, I MEAN IT. I haven't felt this way about a character in a LONG time. I would dare say he's at the top of my fictional Husband list, easily 🥰

I love TBB because they remind me of my own family. I'm Hunter, @jam-n-ham is Echo, my mom is Wrecker, my dad is Tech, my brother is Crosshair, and @knight-tyme is Omega. we've gone through similar struggles as a family to TBB (even going so far as my brother and I having a rough relationship for several years before reconciling), so that's why I'm really rooting for them to have a happy ending. it's been a LONG road to recovery for my own family, so seeing a similar result for my comfort characters would be the best thing ever. also, this show has helped me come to grips with my own personal struggles, particularly my mental problems. it was because of Tech and Omega's moment in The Crossing that made me finally decide to get an official diagnosis, so I'll forever be grateful for that. my life has literally changed because of this show and these characters; I can't say that about any other piece of media, honestly.

so yeah. if you're like me and can relate to the characters, then just know you're not alone 💙💙💙

okay i’m putting this under a readmore because it’s embarrassing to talk about in front of 20k people. this is my cockles manifesto:

i am, as a rule, not into rpf shipping. i have no problem with people who are, it just feels kind of weird and invasive to me so i generally avoid it.

however, i have been here since 2012, and the sheer level of unabashed shenanigans that have been beamed into my eyeballs, paired with my intuitive understanding of body language, have convinced me that misha and jensen do in fact have a private romantic/sexual relationship.

BUT i have to make it clear that i don’t mean that in a “cheating on their wives” way, but in a polyamory way - which isn’t much of a stretch, considering that we know misha and his wife are poly, and vicki literally wrote ‘the threesome’s handbook’. almost every single cockles shipper loves vicki and danneel, we are not about disrespecting or hating them whatsoever.

but it’s important to make clear that if either of them EVER seemed uncomfortable with us shipping them and making jokes and comments, i would absolutely stop. i respect them and i don’t ever want to make them feel creeped out or like their privacy is violated. but the thing is, they not just ‘not uncomfortable’, they very deliberately egg us on. misha loves to make ‘cockles’ puns, they happily do silly photo ops implying they’re together, and they both love to post photos of themselves together, knowing quite well how we go crazy for it. 

like the above selfie, where they posed chest to chest, and this actual ‘anniversary’ photo jensen posted, celebrating ten years of the first time he took misha out to dinner, actually tracking down the same restaurant and the same table.

every time they have a panel together (which usually only happens at the yearly roman convention known as jibcon), their antics get wilder. the first time i went “wait...” was in 2013, when they dry-humped onstage.

and by 2019, we have jensen eagerly throwing himself down on the stage (to reenact a scene between castiel and sam) so misha could get on top of him and mime choking him, and then pretty obviously getting a boner because of it (video). oh and i can’t possibly leave out the kissing (bonus gifs, and more), or the panel where jensen got drunk and opened his pants to show misha his underwear.

their body language around each other is so different from how they are around anyone else (except their wives). like, you can see how jensen and jared love each other and what good friends they are by how they play off each other and have an easy camaraderie, but as soon as jensen gets around misha, he can’t take his eyes off him. he stares, he giggles like a fool over not-that-funny jokes (we call it his unicorn laugh), he looks absolutely besotted, and they’re constantly gravitating to each other and touching each other in really intimate ways: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20

I’m saying that a lot today, lol. This is just a text thing, though. I’m still doing my next set of GIFs but I’ve seen this a bunch today so wanted to talk about it.

I do my best to not read comments in places like Twitter or Youtube about Halo  because it just gets me all frothed up for no good reason. People are allowed to dislike a show, I’m fine with that. But my goodness, the things that get some of these people RAEGING is scary. Just today I stumbled across such sheer anger over this last ep because...

Master Chief is supposed to be a virgin forever!

Well, I’m pretty sure there’s a reason why he’s not stopping for some lovin’ in the game because, well, it’s not that sort of game, my good dudes. 🤷‍♀️ A TV show is an entirely different medium. Also, Chief in the game doesn’t have the same sort of hormone pellet that Chief in the show has that he removed. If game!Chief suddenly was flooded with all of the hormones and feelings that have been suppressed in him all these years, there’s no telling what he might be down for. I’m just saying. 🤷‍♀️

(Thanks to @mrtobenamedlater for pointing out that in-game John does have a form of a pellet, check the notes where he elaborates on that further. 😎👍 I edited my statement to say that show!Chief and game!Chief don’t have the same sort of pellet since I’m presuming that game!Chief’s couldn’t be removed as easily as show!Chief’s was. Though I could be wrong again, lol!)

But, but, but, Chief would never fornicate with a spy! He’s going to bring about the fall of Reach because he couldn’t keep it in his pants!!!1!11!!!

Again, my good dude, you’re reaching *heh* a bit there. Yeah, I suspect the fall of Reach might start in the finale. Makee now can give the Covenant their address after all. And none of that has to do with her relationship with John. She was giving humanity the benefit of the doubt because of her feelings for John, it was being tased and tortured and the like that flipped her back.

And then it finally dawned on me just WHY so many of these dudes might be upset: the sex scene was a love scene.

And as that it was a love scene, the focus was on feelings, not jiggling, naked body parts. We’ve seen both John and Makee naked in the show but here, we don’t. This scene was about two damaged people finding each other, not about them bangin’ like a screen door in a hurricane.

I’m pretty sure that if this would’ve been presented with a more typical “wild, screaming monkey sex” where they destroyed the room and the camera is crawling all over her naked body 99% of the time, these dudes would’ve been more, “Yeah, get it, Master Chief!”

Some of these people aren’t upset that Chief had sex. They’re upset that it wasn’t violent or even degrading (to Makee, of course). Or at least, that’s how it sounds to me. 🤷‍♀️

The rest of them can’t seem to grasp that Silver Timeline is not the game timeline and that the characters here are different than the game characters. They keep raging that they’re ruining Master Chief. My dudes, this was presented to you from the start as an alternative version of Master Chief. Things are different here, backstories are different. So therefore the characters will have some differences, they’re not going to copy/paste the characters from the game.

Like, did they miss Cortana being implanted directly into John’s brain instead of into his Mjolnir helmet? You don’t think that would give them a different relationship just on that alone than what they have in the game? Silver Team is not Blue Team. The Spartans were not told about their families in the show vs knowing in the game.

I mean, maybe it’s because I like writing a billion different versions of the same character, seeing how things change when you change the circumstances, that it doesn’t seem so impossible to get that distinction. 🤷‍♀️

Let me conclude by saying, of course, it’s fine for you to not like any sort of romance for Chief. There’s nothing at all wrong with that, a lot of people aren’t shippers and that’s extremely valid. Or maybe you don’t like John with Makee, also totally valid. Maybe the entire scene just annoyed you, valid again. This is just in response to people who just seem determined to scream about the show not being the game or who were just mortally offended that we didn’t get a “manly” sex scene instead of a “lovey-dovey” one. Dude, that’s fine for you not to like it. But you don’t have to come scream at the people who did. That’s not cool, not at all. Let people like what they like, let people dislike what they like. At the end of the day, we’re all fans and we should show each other some basic respect.

I’m sorry if you’re not getting the version of Halo you wanted, I really am. But if this show is making you this enraged, then don’t watch. Cut it out of your life like a toxic friend. Go enjoy the game. Go find a different show to enjoy. Just don’t boil in hatred so much. It’s not good for you. 😕

Ever since you met the mobster he was sweet and gentle with you. So caring, nothing lime how he is to his enemies. For a year Thor has been the same person you met and more but now it felt like him and his feelings are drifting away.

You found out you were pregnant two weeks ago but Thor hasn’t given you the time of day so you could sit him down and tell him. Claiming he was busy with work. It has also been awhile since the two of you had sex. You thought to yourself that maybe he was stressed, drowning in work and all. So you decided to try and help him out.

Knocking on the door twice you immediately here a ‘Come in.’ from and deep grumpy voice that was obviously Thor’s. You turned the door knob and stepped inside seeing Thor’s head buried in papers stacked up on top of his desk. You sigh quietly shutting the door and gliding closer to his desk.

“Speak, don’t waste my time.” You gulped. “Hi baby.”

“What Y/n, can’t you see I’m busy now.”

“Thor you seem to be under a lot of stress now baby I would just like to help you out.” You purr.

“Y/n how would you help me? You don’t know anything about the Mob.” He raises his voice.

“Look if you have no real reason to be in here then leave.” By now you notice he is running quickly out of patients. You are almost in his eye sight on the side of his desk now. Grazing your finger tips along important stacks of papers.

You chuckle lightly. “No Thor not like that. Just let me finish telling you bub. Can you look at me, please?”

He sighs and turns his chair towards you. He frowns even more. Your body covered in lacey red lingerie, leaving little to the imagination. Showing off all your curves and imperfections. You can still fit your clothes due to you baby bump not showing because it is still early in the pregnancy.

“Come on honey, taking a break let me help you relax.” You move forward straddling his lap. Fingers running through his long locks of beautiful blonde hair.

He rolls his eyes, which is a surprise to you and makes you frown.

“Y/n I don’t have the time for this!” This time he yells and this action makes you flinch so you immediately stand up with your head down staring at your bare feet.

“I’m sor-” He cuts you off. “No don’t you fucking get it woman! I don’t want your company. Leave me to do my work so I can give you a better life. I pay for all the shit you have and you can’t even let me do my job! Get the hell out now!”

You’re shocked, he has never used that tone with you or those choice of words. It felt like he was treating you as if you worked for him. You’re his girlfriend not just some anybody that he could raise his voice to.

You knew what you were about to say would possibly hurt his ego or yourself, but he needed to be brought down a peg or two.

“Why are you yelling at me like I did something wrong! What crawled up your ass and died? You selfish prick! I was trying to do something nice for you to get you out of this hell-hole you put yourself in! ASSHOLE!”

As soon as you were finished he bolted out of his chair and wrapped his hand around your neck slamming your back against the wall behind you. You couldn’t believe what was happening and your body went into panic as his grip hot tighter the more you struggled. All you could think about was if he was going to kill you or not, if you were going to get out of here alive and about your unborn baby.

“P-please no.”

He let you drop to the ground, coughing and gasping for air. Tears rolling down your eyes, devastated and defeated you tried to stand up but was kicked down in the back by a furiated Thor.

“By midnight I want you and all your shit put out my house. You’re lucky I’m letting you keep it. Now scram.”

Your heart broke in millions of pieces on the spot from when he first raised his voice at you. It was hard getting off the floor but even harder to accept that the father of your unborn child has kicked you out of the house and even had the audacity to put his hands on you like he said he never would. That empty promise you should've known it was all a lie. You should have never given him a chance. All of those talks about your future together was bullshit. All of the talks about you being his wife one day bullshit. And to tie it all together the talks about starting a family together was absolute bull-fucking-shit.

Bursting through the room you shared with him bought back all of the sweet memories of the love making, when one of you were sick in bed and the other took care of them, the cuddles, the arguments, the playful fighting, the empty promises, the crying, the laughter. It all hit you at once it made you drop to your knees sobbing into your palms confused.

What made him not love you anymore? What made him put his hands on you? What made him tip over the edge to lash out on you like that? Where would you go? Who would you call?

You were so stressed out with questions and overwhelming feelings you had to remember that you were pregnant and had to convince yourself to calm down. Fifteen minutes of deep breaths you gathered yourself and got your composure back to normal.

Jeans and a sweatshirt was what you slipped on. Pulling out two suitcases from under the bed you started packing. Looking at the time it was 11:39pm so you closed the suitcases and zipped up duffle bags. Heading downstairs you saw your good friend Heimdall reaching for your hand to help you down the last step.

“May I take that from you Ms.Y/l/n?” You sighed handing them to him knowing that he would have gotten it anyway.

He frowned noticing your pained expression. Your back starting to hurt now.

“Y/n are you alright? You seem to be in pain.”

“N-no I’m fine I just need to go.”

“Are you going on a trip? Why so many bags?”

You sighed at the reminder.

“No Heimdall I won’t be back, thank you for doing for me and being a wonderful friend but I’m afraid that it is my time for a new chapter in my life. Please do not ask any questions I do not feel like speaking on it at the moment.” Heimdall nodded respecting your wishes as he escorted you to your car.

“Thank you Heimdall.” You whisper quietly. “Farwell and no, thank you.” You had no idea how much he appreciated you for coming into Thor’s life and opening your heart to him to show and teach Thor how to love and care. You truly did turn Thor’s life around and it showed.

You pulled him in for a hug as you climbed into the drivers seat. Unsure of where to go. You pulled out of the driveway of the mansion. Once you were on the road you had no idea who to call, you gave up your family and friends for Thor. So you called the only person you knew would take you in.

I know I'm very late to the party and this is old news that others have probably already pointed out but I just watched Ant Man for the first time and wow. The very first scene you have Howard Stark/SHIELD(Hydra) being confronted by Hank Pym, whose research they stole. Peggy didn't look completely surprised by it either lol. And they were working directly with Mitchell Carson, the head of defense at SHIELD, who after leaving SHIELD spent his time "toppling governments" and was later revealed to be Hydra 🤦 luckily they never got the Ant Man suit technology before Hank left, but wow. Hydra was never just working on little side projects, they were working with the SHIELD founders in the very heart of SHIELD 🙃 which means (as other people have pointed out) that SHIELD and Hydra's interests were so aligned that they were virtually indistinguishable. (Not too surprising, since they started out by recruiting ex-Nazis 🙃🙃🙃) There are only so many times you can use the "for the greater good" excuse before you need to step back and do some deep self reflection on how your ideals align with those of Nazi eugenicists. (And the good folks at Marvel think Steve would be okay with that?? To spend his life with Peggy and support this, her life's work???)

It makes me wonder how long Zola had to work at it before Howard and Peggy trusted him entirely. Enough for Howard to have a nickname for him and for SHIELD to build a secret lair and allocate who knows how much money for his brain. If they didn't have any idea of Hydra in their midst, they were grossly incompetent, and if they had some idea they either kept their heads down or continued to be hoodwinked, which isn't a great look either. And if they knew and were in on it, then well... 😬

The entire Yellow Jacket presentation was right out of the Hydra playbook, too. These people were literally everywhere. They should have chosen the cockroach as their symbol for how tenacious they were. And they were willing to fork over billions of dollars, only one year after Steve and co toppled SHIELD, to get the Yellow Jacket suit.

Steve's work wasn't done! Where did they get this money? Who else in the government and private sector is part of Hydra? *cough*Ross*coughcough* Captain America 3 should have been Team Cap trying to root out the rest of these assholes, not whatever the hell Civil War was. Anyway 🤦

(Referencing this post) Ah, that was my tag being salty about how Marvel/Disney apparently used the song "It's Been a Long, Long Time" in the Loki show, after using it in Endgame (when imposter!Steve danced with Peggy), after first using it in The Winter Soldier.

The first time we hear the song, it is playing in Steve's livingroom, where Nick Fury is battered and bleeding from tangling with Hydra and the Winter Soldier, right before Steve confronts the Winter Soldier, who was Bucky all along. These lyrics play before Bucky shoots Fury through the wall--

Never thought that you would be, standing here so close to me, there's so much I feel that I should say...

Then Bucky shoots Fury and Steve goes after him.

If you read the rest of the lyrics, the song goes--

But words can wait until some other day

Who else could It's been a long, long time be referring to but Bucky, who Steve has been separated from for 70 years? How many dreams do you think Steve had of Bucky dying (after he followed Steve back into war, when Steve asked him)?

Because the song played right before Steve and Bucky's reunion, and because it is overtly romantic, it was generally regarded as a stucky song... until Marvel shoehorned it into Steve and Peggy's dance in Endgame ;) and the more they use it for other shows and movies, the less significant it will be for mainstream viewers who haven't watched The Winter Soldier and are less/not invested in Steve and Bucky's relationship. If they keep using it, maybe it will just become the song that Marvel trots out whenever they want us to feel maudlin/nostalgic.

I am sure that much more eloquent meta has been written about this song and its significance in The Winter Soldier, so if anyone has any links, it would be appreciated.

- Apparently Hydra has taken over the United States (Hydramerica) and the Red Skull of course raised a statue of himself in New York??

- The Red Skull’s entrance, with the strut and the pan up his black leather pants and Hydra belt– UM WAS THIS REALLY NECESSARY

- Steve has a move where he leaps into the air and slams the shield into the ground with such speed and force that it CRACKS THE GROUND INTO MOLTEN FISSURES

My dream after credits scene when TFATWS is over:

Bucky is sitting alone on a bench. Someone comes up behind him.

"I looked for you," they say.

"Yeah, I know, sorry, it's been... busy," Bucky says.

"I can see that."

Silence. Bucky sighs. "I know what you're gonna say."

The voice sounds warmly amused. "It'll be fun. We can put the couch cushions on the floor again. You won't even need to take out the trash." A large, gentle hand squeezes Bucky's shoulder.

"Come on, Buck."

And Bucky looks up, giving Steve a wry smile.

Tumblr Writers Q&A Tag

I've had some thoughts and questions about tumblr writers for a while, curiosity and all that. So I thought I would make up a little Question Tag of my own, made up of questions I've seen asked before, or things I thought of myself.

I will answer my questions myself as well, and tag some mutuals and other writers to answer them too.

1. How many complete fics/oneshots do you have (that you have not published (yet))? Currently, I have 2 finished fics, and three parts of a nine part series finished.

2. How many WIPS do you have right now? I have 1 WIP, and about 3 or 4 outlined fics.

3. Do you take writing requests or write original ideas, or both? I take requests mainly, but I also write original ideas.

4. If you do take requests, how many do you currently have? Currently, I have about 49 requests. (The oldest of which are a year old, yikes lol)

5. How many fandoms do you write for? I have about 35 fandoms I write for, but I only "actively" write for about 10.

6. Are there any fandoms you wrote for in the past, that you no longer write for? I don't really write for HP anymore. I also don't write or Bones, NCIS, CIS, Percy Jackson, or Narnia anymore. I also used to do gif imagines for any show whether I knew it or not.

7. Do you write for ships, reader inserts, or other? I write for reader inserts only (I try to always do gender neutral).

8. Niche fandoms/characters you write for? Jane Austen movie/show adaptations, Stargate, Lark Rise to Candleford, Btvs, Magnificent Seven.

9. Do you read fics as well as write them? I do not read fics nearly as often as I used too, but I try to read them when they come across my dash from my mutuals and fave writers.

10. What is your favorite genre (angst/fluff/whump/etc) to write for? I love to write fluff and romance.

11. What is your favorite trope (to read and/or write)? To read: idiots to lovers, whump, or mutual pining. To write: Soulmate aus, friends to lovers, and whump/comfort.

12. What do you do to get motivated to write? I re-watch the shows/movies related to my fandoms, or I occasionally read other fics from tumblr.

13. Is there a trope/genre you like to read, but not write? Fics that involve crossovers of fantasy or are completely changed from the fandom canon. Though I wouldn't say I read these often.

14. Any characters/fandoms you want to write for that are never requested? Plenty, like the fandoms Stargate, Prodigal Son, Magnificent Seven, and Star Wars. Some more niche characters in the MCU.

15. How long have you been writing fanfiction? Since 2017.

16. Did you read fanfiction before you started writing? Yes, it is what made me want to write in the first place.

17. Do you only post on tumblr, or other sites as well? (feel free to promote). I mainly post on tumblr, but I post a majority of my fics on Ao3 (make_me_imagine).

18. What do you personally consider the word counts of "drabbles", "oneshots" and "fics" (+other?)? In my own personal "definition", I usually consider drabbles anything from 50-650 words (anything less is a "blurb"). Oneshots are 651-1100, while "fics" are 1100+. (these are all give or take some). It also depends a bit on the amount of dialogue vs description.

19. Which do you prefer to write more? Headcanons, Drabbles, Oneshots/Fics, Multi-Chapter Stories, or other? I prefer to write fics in the range of 2k+ words, but I often struggle to hit that mark. I would also love to write more multi-chapter fics in the future.

20. Are there any stories you have discontinued? If so, why? I have a Sam Wilson x Fm!Reader story called "Worthy" that I have not added on to in 4 years. I might re-write it. I also have a Star Trek, Jim x FM!Reader story that I do plan to continue, I'm just not sure when. Neither of these stories got a lot of traction or reblogs, and I just kind of gave up on them.

21. What is one of your main "pet-peeves" as a writer on tumblr? People that request fics and then do not react to them at all. They might like it, but that is it. No reblog, comment or other acknowledgment. (Its worse when you know they saw it). Also people who refuse to reblog, or just lack of reblogs in general.

22. Do you write at a particular time of day? I find I write the best in the late-morning, or evening, never mid-day. Specific times would be 10-12am; and 9-10 pm. I usually reserve these times to write, and often get entire fics done within those timelines.

23. Do you listen to music, ambiance/noise, etc. to write, or do you need silence? Sometimes I listen to ambiance sounds, or instrumental music, but only if there is stuff going on in the room around me that is distracting. Otherwise I prefer silence. And I cannot listen to regular music, because I get distracted by it.

24. Do you outline your fics at all before writing? Most of the time yes. I never used too, but I find that it helps keep me on track, especially if there is a specific scene or prompt I want to include. Though sometimes I completely de-rail and write something totally different, which is fine.

25. Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time/day? About 95% of the time nowadays, I write fics ahead of time, and post them all throughout the next week, or the following days. Sometimes I write fics the night before, or even the morning of, but it depends on when the last time I posted was. Time-wise, when I schedule fics, I schedule them to come out at 7am my time.
