sam & max hcs

this is specifically for sam & also max bc im most confident w my interpretations of them but once i play & finish tdp i'll make a post for every single other character .

quick disclaimer that this is for my sorta-AU thing where i make sense of the games and cartoon and comics by saying that each was an autobiographical (or just biographical) piece of media that they signed their rights away to. the comics were more or less exactly what happened, the cartoon was scripted half the time (with the bad day on the moon episode actively having been staged) and the games are more or less 1:1 to what happened except for the occassional references to them being. games.

also this isnt a totally exhaustive list

sammy

canon to get it outta the way: he's black, bisexual, autistic and might be trans & objectum (i hc him to definitely be the last two lmao) . i hc he has Narcissistic Traits tee em and also might have OCD

he started developing arthritis in his 20's, which was made only worse by his horrible posture due to his career path of Massive Fucking Nerd. though he fixed his back posture-wise by the time he formed the freelance police, he still is in a lot of pain near constantly.

even when he makes jokes, he wants to be taken seriously at all times. he wants you to laugh at his cleverness, not at the fact that you find him inherently funny. he tends to take this a bit far sometimes, which is part of one of the many reasons as to why he treated max so terribly in the early telltale games

since he was a pup he's tried to hide the fact he's bisexual, even if he's completely normal abt max being out as gay and doesn't see an issue with it in any sense of the term

he really wanted to be an engineer for years, but the intense sexism of the field, a desire to stick around with max, and the fact that other jobs would pay him better lead him to abandon the thought

though he wouldn't mind having children, he doesn't actively want them as much as max does. this doesn't mean he dislikes children at all, though - he actually likes them more than max does, at least conceptually

not too long after the cartoon's release, he lost contact with most of his family, excluding ruth. this was fully intentional on his part: max's refusal to talk to his family except at gatherings he stole food and drugs from inspired him to take more control of his life and contact with people he's related to

he sort of wants to grow his hair out again, but isn't sure what style to get... (i like drawing him w afros though)

completely opposite to max's feelings, sam feels a strictly familial or platonic attraction to lumpy. and platonic being based offa that plato fun fact is very very definitely relevant here i think (im sorry)

if he went with any other job, it'd have to be letterist, full stop. he has several styles of handwriting and they're all gorgeous

he's a super sweet, incredibly silly drunk, and lets himself relax and show more of his dog mannerisms when drunk enough (thank you celebrity poker 2 i love you)

maxamillion

canonically a narcissistic psychopath who might have schizophrenia. its ok i can reclaim him<333 (no i cant but my partner can) he also has a horrible family life but his family stuck together out of mutual hatred and a desire to reap society's rewards for the nuclear standard

this horrible shithead has prolly claimed to have every physical disability at some point but he's only been diagnosed w/ hypermobile joint disorder / ehler-dahlos

in the more modern time of 2024, he usually sticks to only mocking people for things that are a. traits he shares with them or b. actually disturbing, inhumane or generally Yucky

he's wanted kids for years, which is why he's constantly not-so-subtly mentioning it.

he's a deeply unprofessional drag queen AND drag king and loves playing around with both sides of the coin. he also does drag creature stuff but that's just how he normally looks so!

thanks to the autism and schizophrenia he's very touch averse. the only people he really wants touching him are sam (and sometimes, maybe, rarely, flint paper)

to say that he doesn't have any familial affection for lumpy is understating it. he uses lumpy as his personal (and fully consenting) stimtoy whenever he feels like it, regardless of where or who might see 'em.

he sometimes pretends he's still president to make people do stuff for him. this only works on sam though

though he's physically capable of handwriting so gorgeous it rivals sam, he saves that for the disgustingly cheesy, 'anonymous' love letters he sends him every year or seven

he's a mainer. a mainiac if ya will. grew up closer to the south and he's got some relatives from mass so he's got that masshole/bostoner accent. he's usually good at hiding his accent, but it's obvious when you ask him to say shit like "clam chowder" and "lobster" and "fish"

though he hates most country music, he still loves johnny cash

they invented paralell play. sam w his computers and his papers and max with his drawing and stabbing the desk until it looks like a modern art piece

they're both extremely jealous of other people, but somehow have both missed that. sam's worried he's too jealous and overprotective, while max thinks he could stand to be a little more obsessive

one of their favorite things to do together is go to the comic book store and laugh at how horrible their childhood favorite comics have gotten (or always were)

every wedding shown is canon in some way, but around the telltale games sam started thinking they were just 'ironic' and 'a joke' and etc. despite the EXTREMELY high budget each had. he knows better now

max's whole "not making fun of anyone unless they're enough like him (or suck)" actually extends to sam as well. he's more than fine with making fun of someone bc they're fat or whatever despite the fact he clearly isn't. this is MOSTLY because he keeps forgetting he and sam don't share every single experience.

though sam is against drinking as a whole, the two sometimes go out to horribly shitty bars to get the worst in junk food & beer. every time they do, max happily proclaims that it was the best date EVER.

max almost likes sam's singing, sometimes, but this is usually only because he just really likes sam's voice

neither of them know how to use modern technology. when one finds out a single way a single program or feature works, they excitedly show the other like they just found the missing link between humans and neanderthals or whatever

sam helps with max's injections since max really seriously can't handle needles. it's the worst for the both of them, but the treats and snacks and ten-hour-long movie binges after help with the fear

generally speaking, max can get up and out of bed any time from around 6 to 13. sam gets up at 6:30 or 7:45 exactly every day, which means he usually makes breakfast if he feels up to cooking.

other than the aforementioned horrible bars, they have a lot of 'weird' date locations, like the dog park, the local sewer system, hell, etc.

tldr king dardanos of atlantis has been around 10,000 years since the fall of his kingdom and has been dealing with the vengeful mother goddess also using his body as a meatpuppet because she is angry at humans for destroying the planet and her answer is yeet all of them ...

in the modern era he is known as dardanos eleazar, the young and charismatic CEO of paradius, a massive company based in greece- they're focused mainly on biomedical advancements (although they do have branches that do other things). aside from being possessed, he's a genius billionaire philanthropist and incredibly talented duelist- known in public for his chaos archetype deck (black luster/chaos emperor type), although under the mother goddess' command he is also the oracle and he's been devouring souls in her name.

oh, and also he can turn into a giant dragon, that's a thing.

immortality: dardanos has been like 32 years old for ten thousand years. oof. he doesn’t age and if a combo attack by the three egyptian gods doesn’t kill him, i have no idea what will — although it seems that once the mother goddess was sustaining at least a good portion of his life, he does survive without it before consciously deciding to leave with his family to the spirit world. he also seems to literally be unable to die as in episode 178 he tells yugi and kaiba that in the battle of atlantis, his father challenged him and killed him, so uhhh, whatever deaths he suffers are naturally very temporary.

shapeshifting: although, this could be closer to illusions, since he is shown to have taken the form of gozaburo kaiba to orchestrate the tragedy in amelda’s life.

weather manipulation: dardanos in flashbacks flat out conjures lightning, he creates storms powerful enough to sink ships abd the method that would have destroyed the world was a huge global tidal wave. his temple is also surrounded by storms and in the middle of the ocean so that’s a thing.

telepathy: dardanos is shown to be able to communicate with others via telepathy, cause visions and command others through the mind, so that’s sorta terrifying yikes.

duel spirit manifestation: he’s capable of manifesting duel monster spirits much like something found in a shadow game, they cause real damage to things.

magic mastery: in general, his abilities are said to be able to rival the millennium items themselves. which means he’s really, really strong in that department. it is heavily implied that his magic can do things like change people’s forms, as he is noted to have transformed the legendary knights into dragons.

deity form: dardanos is also a legendary dragon (leviathan) on his own.

dueling skill: ok well canonically dardanos held his own in a battle against yami yuugi and seto kaiba. we all know what that means. seto kaiba is the second best duelist in the world and seto kaiba has his ass handed to him by some vengeful jerk who has lived for a good ten thousand years.

duelist spirit: "even a normal person like me can feel it" — honda hiroto, ep 177. dardanos, like other powerful duelists, radiates an incredible energy of determination, but the duelist’s spirit is sorta hard to explain as anything but sheer willpower and his is ridiculously extreme as he’ll stop at nothing to achieve his goals

soul manipulation: the signature ability given to him by the mother goddess, there’s no proof that he was able to manipulate souls prior to his own corruption, but he is responsible for a lot of the oreichalkos mess … most of it, since his swordsmen didn’t uhhh really do nearly as much damage … not that they didn’t do damage they did but dardanos is the worst.

mother goddess form: the leviathan body created from his own soul sacrificed in exchange for the souls of the three legendary duelists. this in itself implies his own soul is incredibly powerful, it also turns him into the mother goddess, a giant serpent capable of twisting her body around the city of atlantis at least three times and have length to spare. note, atlantis is an entire city and here is a reference of the mother goddess compared to the egyptian gods so uhhh.

hello dear people!!! i ranked series 1 of doctor who a few days ago and decided now it's time for series 2!!! as i said previously, my reviews are like 98% based on Vibes and im also a pretty positive person so it's probably like 90% "!!!! I LOVE THIS!!" lmao. anyway, lets go!!

1. The Girl in the Fireplace - this was great!!! i loved reinette and im ALWAYS ready for timey wimey bullshit, drunk ten gave crowley vibes i lived for that and also im a fan of the random horse go king, and ofc the story overall was rly interesting

2. School Reunion - SARAH JANE SMITH SARAH JANE SMITH!!! need i say more? i LOVE this episode i liked having mickey back and meeting sarah jane and love a tiny bit of doctor angst and like the general Vibe of this episode is so good its one of my comfort episodes i would do ANYTHING for this episode y'all!!!!!!

3. The Idiot's Lantern - listen folks listen i LOVED the boy he was sweet and i loved the story and im always down for humbling bigots i loved rose and 10 sm and the setting was cool and i loved the way it's shot this is also such a comfort episode for me man i love it

4. Fear Her - listen i think this is kinda controversial BUT I LOVE THIS EPISODE its also a comfort episode, i love rose's characterisation and i loved the family it was sweet and i think the importance of the song was beautiful and i liked the idea of drawings coming back to life and i loved the mundane setting sm, also im not a timepetals fan but this episode was so cute man

5. The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit - this story is SO GOOD the side characters are great and like my interpretation of the "satan" is that it's not necessarily like the _satan_ but a creature that is the idea for that like they say in the episode and like to me that's such a great thing, if i try to explain how i think about that, this post will become way too long so i won't, and i loved how 10 really was like i love humans and kinda reminded how everyone is amazing it was great

6. New Earth - I LOVE THIS EPISODE cassandra-rose and cassandra-doctor were great and i loved the story and the hopefulness and happiness of the ending i just love it so much

7. The Christmas Invasion - i rly like the story, it was great having harriet jones back and i loved how much mickey and jackie were in this, i liked the introduction to ten like baby, my son, you silly guy why are you quoting the lion king i absolutely adore you you silly little alien

8. Army of Ghosts/Doomsday - it was great having mickey back and the story is great, it had some funny moments i had a great time, visually i wasn't too much of a fan so that's part of why this is so low, like to me one important thing is the visual aesthetic, the ending was rly sad and i need people to talk more about the doomsday theme it's SO GOOD it's so haunting and beautiful i'm going insane fr

9. Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel - i like this story but tbh i'm not a big fan, somehow the overall Vibe™ is just not slaying for me, like somehow im a huge cyberman hater i'm not sure why, and idk i'm just not the biggest fan of this

10. Tooth and Claw - idk i'm not a huge fan of this episode, it's enjoyable and i like it while watching but overall i'm not a fan of the story, i'm not one for werewolves so maybe that's why, rose's outfit ate tho slay queen i loved it

11. Love & Monsters - even tho this is the last one, i do like it on some level, LINDA was SO ADORABLE and if we had followed them being silly this would 100% be a story i really like and also jackie tyler was great, but i don't like the absorbaloff. i just dont. also the ending 😁 you do what 😁

i feel like it would be EXTREMELY mixed and also entirely depends on what is canon to the descendants universe. i think i may separate this based on what i've watched

frozen:

now, most of the time when classifying whether characters go to the isle or stay as a kingdom of auradon, people will always say that it entirely depends on the marketing. however!! descendants is more or less based on the disney princess lineup (excluding a few like 101 dalmations) and anna and elsa exist OUTSIDE of the capital D capital P Disney Princess lineup. what else falls outside of the disney princess lineup? ALICE IN WONDERLAND. i don't want to get into this here, so if you don't know the intricacies of disney branding, please check out @babbity.kate 's princesses playlist on tiktok, she goes into extreme comprehensive depth about it in a way that i can't describe

as we know from the dror trailer, wonderland has been banished from auradon for refusing to become one of the states of auradon (likely because the queen of hearts would've been sent to the isle, or perhaps king beast didn't agree to her terms to have alice sent there?? or, knowing descendants, we will never get a proper reason lmao). while i don't think that arendelle canonically exists in the descendants universe due to neither being Classic Disney nor Disney Princesses, i think if they WERE written in then arendelle would be another banished kingdom

in my mind, the way i see it playing out is beast going "hey anna i'm banishing a bunch of evil villains to fantasy-australia. banish your sister to join my kingdom" anna goes "um wtf. that's my regular sister and also she's not evil. hans was the evil one banish that bastard and i'll consider it" and i think that beast would see elsa as temperamental based on the story, but i reckon all of the visitors in to arendelle during elsa's coronation the descendantsverse would've spread a story more similar to the scrapped story of frozen before it was rewritten. and as such beast would see elsa as very temperamental, unclear loyalties (being a magical elemental spirit or whatever) who can freeze over an entire kingdom like it's nothing, someone very risky to have exist in the UKA at all. especially cause he more or less begins to conflate magic with evil once people in his own kingdom stop using it

ariel

i don't ever remember hearing about whether ariel's ancestral kingdom is one of the states of the UKA, however ariel herself has no magic and she's married into a magicless, human royal family, not to mention that the main plot in tlm is that she's a victim of a magic user. so i doubt that they would have any rough relations with auradon. furthermore, she also seeks human acceptance and assimilation into their society, so i can honestly see her rolling over and let that kind of legislation take place, perhaps with a few quiet objections, as like. some kind of metaphor for internalised bigotry (which, considering the subject matter of the original hans christian anderson fairy tale was regarding his same sex attraction, this isn't much of a stretch). like this is just the price she thinks she has to pay to earn human acceptance

rapunzel

now, this depends on whether you consider the show canon or not. i only watched a few episodes, so i'm just gonna treat that as not canon for the sake of this braindump. since rapunzel loses her magic, and her kingdom doesn't show any other significant signs of magic, and her magic made her target of people that sought to take advantage of that, but it was also something that saved the love of her life (i count it as true love's kiss tho rather than an actual inner magic she possesses), she would have a very nuanced view of magic. while i don't think that she would stand by 100% of beast's viewpoints, i think she would understand where he's coming from in terms of magic being dangerous and allow it to get soft banned. however, something interesting to note is that rapunzel is cousins with anna and elsa and thus their kingdoms would likely be political allies, so either corona cut ties with arandelle, corona's place in the UKA is on a lot more shaky ground than the other kingdoms depending on how much support they show arendelle, or corona is also subsequently exiled from the UKA for being allied with arendelle

encanto

for a similar reason as frozen, even tho encanto is only a village i reckon it would not be part of the UKA, especially because i don't think that any of the madrigals would ever conceivably want alma sent to the isle since they all reconciled at the end of the movie and decided to end the cycle of trauma. i think the madrigals are similar to fairy godmother in the sense that they use their magic to help others, but unlike fairy godmother i don't think they'd just agree to stop using magic to "help people the old fashioned way". unlike arendelle i don't think they'd be on bad terms with auradon, they would just see they have conflicting interests and continue to live separately

i hope this answers your question!! ofc, this isn't any objective fact or canon, just my own speculation and head canon

the main talking point of a lot of people that love eah but bash on descendants is that "eah was deep!! descendants was just a disney knockoff that meant nothing and was just a cashgrab" SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP (to be clear i am an eah lover). analytical thoughts to follow:

consider also, that auradon is portrayed as very technologically advanced in direct opposition to the isle being associated with magic (even with its ban) and a lot of of clearly second hand, worn and torn fridges and tvs and whatever

also, the fact that she felt PRESSURED to not only culturally assimilate into auradon culture, but alter her physical appearance to assimilate further. consider mal's costuming in the first movie. on the isle, we see her with (what i assume is her natural) purple hair, leather, etc. she is even, to a degree, gender nonconforming. pretty much the ONLY time we see her in skirts is when she's trying to impress ben for her plan to work

compare this with the hair costuming in descendants 2:

(i actually can't remember which scenes the third one was in but whatever) they have taken away her sparkle!! she's assimilated firstly into auradon fashion by dressing in pastels like them, and in SKIRTS which she textually only wore in the first movie when she wanted to impress ben. now with the added context of her wanting to impress auradon. and it really speaks a lot that she feels she has to conform to gender norms more in order to be accepted by auradon

and what about hair. she's felt the need to not only change the way she dresses, but change her hair to the eurocentric standard, so blonde that it's almost WHITE to conform to auradon's society (because let's be real, her mum's a fairy/dragon and her dad is a greek god. i'd be MORE surprised if she was DYING her hair purple than it being natural). changing your natural hair in order to to conform to and be accepted by the majority... where have i heard that one before??

(to be clear. it is not a one for one analogy. "hey using a spell to force someone to forget what you did is an invasion" to me is like going "well actually people were right to fear mutants in x-men because some of them were walking weapons" IT'S A METAPHOR THAT IS ALSO A PLOT DEVICE)

('backwater' being used ironically, do not let my meaning be misconstrued here. a better way to word it is that immigrants are guilttripped into having to be 'grateful' for their oppression in a first world country because microaggressions or assimilation is considered better than the alternative, being back in your home country where living conditions may be considered poorer)

in the sense that for instance, jay put a VK spin on supporting feminism. like yes, he could've done it the rulefollowing, create a petition and gather signatures route, but INSTEAD he finds and exploits an existing loophole to let lonnie join the team. or evie shouting out dizzy's creations, uplifting her voice despite the fact she could've still taken the credit since she was the one that paired the outfit with the accessories. etc

are the descendants movies objectively bad movies?? yes. but this was to me, one of the most compelling analogies for immigrant struggles. take particular notice how almost ALL the main VKs are either racebent from the original disney movies (evie, carlos, uma) or were already based on an ethnic character (mal, jay)

but wait, mal is the whitest white girl to walk the planet. how is she already based on an ethnic character?

glad you asked. it is quite unclear in the descendants movie (basing its portrayal of maleficent on the disney sleeping beauty) is a fairy or a dragon. while the maleficent movie isn't canon to the descendants universe, i'm still going to use the fact that she's a fairy with the magical ability to turn herself into a dragon

a lot fairy folklore comes from ireland. the name maleficent itself, and i quote

shares similarities to the name millicent. millicent has irish (or scottish) roots (even a coat of arms) as in

thus one could argue that maleficent herself could potentially be irish coded

whether or not you agree with the idea that maleficent is irish coded, it is undeniable that mal is the daughter of hades, a greek god. it's a shame that that was a retcon in the third movie and not planned from the start, because the role could've gone to an actually greek actress (please google the ottoman empire and greek independence day if you still think it's not fitting for me to group mal with the others)

where was i going with this?? right. it's extremely telling that most of the main/side VKs, save for gil, are ethnic, in the story of a group of misfits finding themselves in an unfamiliar country with new social norms for them to learn as they try to fit in with and become accepted by their peers

...IMAGINE being the younger sister to Viserys and Daemon, and having some sort of tension with the Hand of the King that comes to a head a few months after the death of Queen Aemma

A/N: OKAYYYYYYYYY, this is my first EVER attempt at writing for Otto Hightower! SHOW!based as I’m not too knowledgeable about book!canon dance of the dragons stuff. I REALLY enjoyed writing this! I don’t know why but Otto Hightower just...has me in his grasp lmao wrote this in like three hours if that tells you how strongly I felt for this idea! lol I hope you all enjoy it! Your brother’s wife and son had only been dead for a few days when the talk of the succession started anew – just as bad as it had been for the last few years, but more urgent now that the King of Westeros was a widow.

By the precedent set at the Great Council eleven years earlier, your youngest-oldest brother, Daemon, was Viserys’ heir, but very few were fond of that idea and wanted either Princess Rhaenyra to be named heir or for Viserys to remarry and try for another male heir. The fact that the mourning period had even begun, that your House was hurting, didn’t seem to matter to the Small Council.

Logically, it didn’t matter. The realm needed certainties, not maybes, but that decision didn’t need to be made right then. Not that night. Or even that month.

Viserys was healthy, Daemon and Rhaenyra were healthy. Daemon was healthy enough to have children (if he ever decided to do so), and Rhaenyra was old enough to be betrothed (at the least) and married within the next year or two.

Seven hells, there was you even. Widowed for three years from a second son of House Tyrell, and the mother to two sons (neither who were likely to inherit Highgarden). You could be an heir to your brother if Viserys willed it, or your sons could until Daemon or Rhaenyra produced one.

All of this, and more, was what you informed the Small Council that night as you stood next to your King’s chair in the Small Council chambers, your hand tightening around his shoulder to give him some, silent comfort in the whole mess.

“…even if my brother agrees to remarry, the mourning period is a year. Unless I am mistaken, My Lord Hand.” You threw a sharp look at Otto, silently begging him to try and argue with you. Like you and Viserys, Otto was a widow as well – his wife having died just shy of two years earlier.

“You are not, Princess.” The man smiled, tightly, but softly at your words. The two of you hadn’t always been at odds. Often, the two of you were quite a united front at keeping Viserys on track and the realm prospering, but Otto had grown ambitious in the time since his dear, lady wife’s passing.

“Alright then,” you offered a small smile of your own and threw a glance around the room at the others in attendance, “The mourning period will be respected or there will be consequences.” Two heart beats, waiting to see if any of the men were going to argue or try to talk down to you. “If talks must be had, leave them for six moons. Allow our King to put the memory and his love for our, sweet Aemma to rest.”

Viserys sighed and you caught his gaze, the two of you smiling fondly at one another as your eldest brother took your hand in his own and brought it to his lips, kissing your knuckles. His sweet smile melted your heart. He was a good, gentle man, and he always tried to keep the peace in his House and his kingdoms…

“Now,” you murmured, leaning down to kiss his forehead just as your grandmother Alysanne used to do when you were a little girl, “I’m going to look in on my niece and the boys. Try to get some rest, Your Grace, please.”

“Give them all a goodnight from me, please.” Viserys whispered and squeezed your hand as you pulled away.

You promised that you would and then dropped into a perfect curtsy, wishing the Lords, knights, and Maester of the Small Council “the gentlest dreams” before leaving the room.

The Red Keep was dark, cold, and silent. With the King’s grief, the entirety of the royal court had taken to mourning as well, taking every voice from the halls, and leaving only whispers in the shadows.

Otto has always hated Daemon. He doesn’t want Rhaenyra, but he would back her if she was his only option.

Lyonel is loyal and intelligent. He knows that no one would truly follow Rhaenyra. They will only use her until someone better, someone with a cock came around.

Corlys backs Daemon and then Rhaenys. It’s only natural he would back his wife, but is it because he feels my cousin deserves the throne? Or is it because he craves the throne for himself?

The others would pretend to not have sides, but it was a lie. They all had their own agendas covered with the lie of being best for the realm.

“I was told, once, by a Lord of Winterfell, that the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.” The voice of your father, Prince Baelon the Brave, came to you suddenly and you had to catch yourself on the wall as loneliness and a long-buried grief came rushing to the surface of your heart, “It is the same for us, for Targaryens. One of us may die, but we are only at our strongest when we are united.”

You were ten when your Prince-Father told you that, and seven years later he was dead. His death is what prompted the calling of the Great Council later that same year. You hadn’t understood his words for a long time, but now…now you understood.

Everyone is frightened of House Targaryen because of the dragons. Without them, there is no true reason to have your family as the ruling House of Westeros. The realm followed the commands of the King on the Iron Throne only far enough to not be seen as treasonous; otherwise, they were self-serving and didn’t truly have your House’s interests at heart.

Daemon is seen as a cruel monster, the second coming of Maegor the Cruel. Rhaenyra is a girl of near fifteen; they wouldn’t easily follow her now just as they weren’t willing to follow Rhaenys eleven years earlier. And Viserys…the King was gentle and open handed, but he was so naïve that there was no way it wouldn’t come back to hurt the House of the Dragon once he was gone.

“Your Highness?”

A gasp slipped past your lips at the sudden voice, your head snapping up to stare at the servant who stood some feet away – hesitant and skittish. It was only then you realized you were crying and shaking, your face had been in your hands when the young girl’s voice had pulled you out of your grief-filled-thoughts.

“Oh,” clearing your throat, you wiped at your cheeks with the sleeve of your dress and tried to look as presentable as possible in your condition, “Forgive me I…it…”

The girl – not much older than your niece – smiled shyly and stepped forward, “Pardons, Your Highness.” She pressed something into your hand before curtsying and hurrying away, up the stairs to wherever she was meant to be.

It was a handkerchief and a small gesture, but you appreciated it, nonetheless.

Wiping at your eyes and blowing your nose, you took a few moments to pull yourself together before continuing back to the royal apartments to hold your sons and your niece.

“You’ve been sending Alicent to the King’s chambers.”

There was no point in trying to pass it off as a question. The two of you had known each other for far too long for you to try and play ignorant with him. Admittedly, you hadn’t meant to open the conversation with that but the moment you were let into his office within the Tower of the Hand, your gaze landing on him seated behind his desk, the words fell from your lips on their own.

Otto had looked up the moment you were announced, and as you accused him of overstepping by sending his daughter to Viserys over the last two months, he sighed and stood. “Princess,” he bowed and waved the guard away.

Once the door was shut and you had moved closer, putting only his desk between you and him, you asked, “To comfort him only, My Lord Hand? Or something else?”

“Alicent is looking after the King just as she did the last one, Princess. She feels…”

“You feel,” you corrected with a raised brow, arms crossing over your chest as you said, “Please, Otto, do not treat me like I’m stupid. Lady Alicent is doing as you and your brother have commanded her to do. It’s a risky game,”

“Your Highness,” the Hand began to say only to stop as you raised your hand, silencing him even if it pained him to do so (if the fisting of his hands at his sides was anything to go off of).

“Making your daughter the King’s mistress…” you let your voice trail off as you tried to bite back your temper and tried to think a dozen steps ahead of the man in front of you. “…I adore Alicent, just as I adore Rhaenyra, My Lord Hand. And as a widow, myself, I understand how our King – my brother – is feeling. Of course, only a fraction. Viserys loved Aemma far more than I loved my late husband. My brother and his wife had far more time together, of course, for me to fully grasp their devotion for each other.” Shaking your head, you moved around the desk and grabbed Otto’s hand in both of yours, trying to get him to see reason – to think carefully about whatever it was he was planning.

Holding his gaze, you whispered, “Viserys is not ready to move on. If he takes Alicent now…in any capacity…it will be nowhere near what your daughter deserves, Ser. Someone must be a voice for Alicent while Viserys is the voice for his grief and broken dreams, as you are the voice of the High Tower.”

Otto was silent for a long moment after you had finished speaking, his gaze locked onto yours.

His other hand had come up to cover yours covering his as you finished speaking. He had moved closer to you when you rounded the side of the desk, naturally towering over you in a way that felt comforting when you were younger, but now often left you…confused.

There had been a strange tension between the two of you for months, years maybe, that you had purposefully ignored – not yet ready to admit to yourself what you knew, deep down. It was never much of a problem until moments like this. When the two of you were on opposite sides, and although you felt strongly about your own opinions, more than anything you wanted to agree with him – to see things his way – if just to avoid hurt feelings and resentments.

“As the Hand of the King, I must do what is best for the realm.”

“Obviously,” you laughed, smiling teasingly as you tried to push away the nerves that were beginning to creep into your stomach.

The corner of his mouth twitched into a smile of his own as Otto continued to speak, “You don’t want Viserys to remarry, but I think we both know that he will not last without a companion of some sorts.”

You scoffed and rolled your eyes, pulling your hands free of his, “And you think Alicent is the best to do this? Better than…myself? Or some older noble woman from some other House?”

His jaw ticked as he questioned, “Would you prefer to be in her place instead, Your Highness?”

There was something about the way he asked it that set you off. Normally, you wouldn’t have been snappy or oversensitive, but something about the way he had worded his question – even with his voice being so monotone and impassive – made you defensively spit out, “Well, I have proven to be fertile and capable of producing male heirs which is the only true reason my brother would need to remarry, Ser. What does Alicent have besides a pretty face and ambitious relations?”

The Hand of the King who had served your grandsire and your brother, for many years, looked at you with a cool look that gave next to nothing away. If your words upset him more than they (naturally) would anger any man, you couldn’t tell. But he was bothered by them in some amount. Otto Hightower was too proud of his House and the name that had been made for it to feel indifferent toward your insult.

“I will ask this again.” Otto finally murmured, reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind your ear, his hand then moving to grab the back of your neck as if to keep you from fleeing the room (and the conversation), “Do you want to be the Queen of Westeros?”

You laughed, breathlessly, and shook your head.

All amusement was gone from you despite your short laugh. How could he ask that of you? How long had the two of you known each other? How many times had you commented on how being the King or Queen felt lonely and tiresome and suffocating? Did he think you had been lying all those years? Simply saying those things because Aemma existed and was Queen at the time making it impossible for you to be?

Grabbing his wrist, huffing when his grip only tightened when you tried to pull free of his hold, you finally answered his question by saying, “I want to be a mother to my sons, a mother-figure to my niece who is now without a mother, and an advisor and companion to my King. You know I’m not interested in Viserys like that, Otto. I would be a poor wife for him. I would be more likely to bed Daemon or Corlys before I would even consider doing such acts with His Grace.” And there was zero desire in your body to bed either the Rogue Prince and/or the Sea Snake.

Otto leaned downward and smiled to himself, “That…is good to hear, Your Highness.”

You opened your mouth to hiss some half-ass attempt at an insult at him, once again calling him out for his ambitions regarding Alicent and Viserys, but any thought of doing so flew out the window when the lips of the Hand of the King were suddenly pressed into yours.

He…Otto Hightower is…kissing me?

His free hand – the one not clutching painfully tight at the back of your neck – grabbed your hip and shoved you back against his desk, his body pressing into your own, drawing every bit of air from your lungs as he kissed you.

Your eyes widened, a gasp rushing from your mouth into his own as realization struck you of what was happening.

And then your hands flew up to grab at his upper arms, your eyes snapping shut as you kissed him back.

What in the Seven Hells is happening?

And why am I not pushing him away?

my black clover headcanons but they get progressively worse as it goes on

for his birthday one year , fuegoleon and meroleona got leo a stuffed lion and now leo cant sleep without it

additionally , when fuego was in his 75 episode long coma , leo would visit him often , stuffed lion in tow

vangeance and mimosa will spend HOURS in the garden of the golden dawn base talking about plants . unless you know a lot about plants yourself , it wont make any sense to you , but they seem to have fun with it .

kirsch wears a scary amount of perfume . DO NOT hug this man if you dont want to smell like flowers for the next 78 hours ( regardless of if you shower it just wont go away , no idea how he does it but thats how it is )

yuno can sing , and i mean he can SING . he doesnt do it often , but if you convince him to he has one of the most beautiful singing voices you will ever hear

the aqua deer's base is covered head to toe in murals that rill made , its beautiful , although a little excessive

finral and gordon host a secret santa every year . at first it was just the black bulls , but eventually other squads joined in and its something everyone looks forward to now !

the golden dawn has a pet cat that just kinda runs around the base . why do they have a cat ? yuno found him in the rain one day and couldnt just leave it alone . he went to vangeance about it , and ever the animal lover , the captain decided that the golden dawn should just keep it

mimosa ADORES this cat , and was actually the one to name it ! his name is comet because of his black fur and bright blue eyes

klaus will never admit it , but he feeds this tiny little gremlin cat so much human food

dorothy's office is literally just a bedroom with a desk in the middle . what a queen .

marx almost fell out of a window trying to chase julius when he was ditching work . julius saved him , but he felt so bad that he didnt leave his post for the rest of the week . it makes marx consider doing it on purpose next time to get the wizard king to do his work ...

asta cant do basic math . at all . yuno isnt much better off , his education doesnt go much beyond basic multiplication and division though

langris is a surprisingly good cook ! the golden dawn loves it when hes put in charge of meals

zora hates to admit it but he loves theatre ! especially musicals , but literally the only person who knows is gordon , and he found out on accident

vanessa is the black bulls' hairdresser , thats basically canonical because of finral's hair , but shes also the teams seamstress

patry will actually visit the golden dawn on occasion , everyone is kind of weary of him ( with the exception of yuno and mimosa , who know that he holds no malice towards humans anymore ) . but he mostly stays in vangeance's office to keep him company and makes small talk the whole day , so the squad doesnt mind it

magna and luck have a bet going for who will between asta and noelle will confess their love first . magna is betting on noelle , luck on asta

If you don't mind, can I ask why you thought Alicent's writing went downhill after episode 5?

yeah, of course! i talked about it in another post but that was mainly about rhaenyra so i'll elaborate

i think alicent's progression from eps 1-5 was very logical. episode 6 is where the first issues started for me. pre-time jump alicent was very politically astute and generally diplomatic, even to her husband and especially in the presence of other nobles. one of the coolest things about the green dress scene is that she didn't have to say anything outwardly antagonistic (she still greeted viserys and congratulated rhaenyra), but in interrupting the king's speech donning the colour of her house's beacon for war, she was able to signal to everyone where her allegiances lied. but in episode 6 she's openly scoffing and rolling her eyes at the heir to the throne during council meetings, or mouthing off to the king in earshot of his advisors. i would imagine book alicent delivering a line like "soon or late, you met get one who looks like you" to laenor the way we saw natalie dormer's margaery make passive-aggressive comments to cersei ("i wish we had wine, but it's still a bit early in the day for us"). it's easy enough to pass off as genuine to a spectator but the receiving party and the audience pick up on the undertones. to see alicent so openly aggressive after being very cognizant of all the courtesies expected of her for 5 episodes was..... jarring, to say the least.

episode 7 was the best of a bad bunch, i think. for the most part i really liked what we got in terms of alicent. the biggest complaint i have is the "now they see you as you are" line. like i said, alicent has been pretty open about her dislike of rhaenyra for over a decade now, so the moment doesn't actually feel like the epic unmasking that it should be. imagine how cool that scene and line would have been if alicent had actually maintained the facade of a perfect wife and stepmother for about a decade.

episode 8 was... eh :/. i like it if i abide by the interpretation that vaemond's execution really rattled alicent (which it should have done... fear for her children's lives is supposed to be her main motivation) and she did her best to play nice with rhaenyra for the remainder of the episode. but i don't believe that's what the writers intended, which is further reinforced by alicent misunderstanding viserys at the end of the episode.

episode 9 was ssjhksjkshs. i can't even talk about it without fuming. apparently alicent has never imagined herself on the iron throne even though vaemond literally said the words "it's a queen who sits the throne these days" (or something close to that, i'm paraphrasing) referring to her an episode prior (and in the show's timeline, that moment was just a day ago). apparently alicent's primary flaw in this story is not ambition, but serving men... even though she agreed to crown aegon based on the wishes of viserys, and everyone was fine and dandy with her following those wishes when she thought rhaenyra was his desired heir. it's just nonsensical because in this case, the man she is serving is viserys! which is the man whose wishes the opposing side is also fighting to fulfill! because he's the king!!! so how is alicent less "feminist" than the other side??? even in the show's canon, this theme of alicent being an enforcer of the patriarchy falls apart (especially considering she was supposedly totally cool with crowning rhaenyra an episode ago, and because the validity of rhaenyra's claim also rests on words from the mouth of the king). this one dumbass decision took away alicent's agency, alicent's primary motivator which was to fight for her children, the debate of legalism vs absolutism, and any possible thematic coherence lmao i hate that for her

(btw book alicent would be rolling in her grave over these changes lol. apart from letting viserys's dead body rot for days, she also never spoke his name during her addled last days, even though she mentioned king jaehaerys, whom she read to when she was a girl lmaooo. i appreciate they tried to add some nuance to their dynamic in the show but it's infuriating how show alicent's drive now rests on upholding this man's last words considering just how much book alicent seemed to despise him.)

(also, was book alicent an enforcer of the patriarchy if we consider that she defied the wishes of her husband? i mean yes she opposed rhaenyra but allowing rhaenyra's reign actually wouldn't have meant additional freedom for any woman but rhaenyra. much to think about...)

there's also just a difference in mannerisms that's a bit difficult to process. emily played alicent as a nervous wreck who directs all of her anxiety inwards, while olivia plays alicent as pretty openly neurotic. i think i prefer emily's portrayal purely because it actually aligns with the perfectly poised, shrewd, widely-beloved queen from the book (which we reallyyy needed in the second half of the season imo). don't get me wrong, i don't fault olivia, she's one of the most talented actors on this show -- she just needed better direction. it probably would have helped if she and emily could have spoken a bit about the way they were planning to play alicent.

one thing i will say is that the show is doing well with is alicent's relationship with her children (i hate the way they wrote aegon it's not even real to me anymore but i mean apart from that). it makes the greens so fun and fascinating. i don't think they actually meant to do them a favour there, considering the show shies away from any dysfunctionality in rhaenyra's children to paint her in a better light... but the result is that the green family is far more fleshed out and interesting, so you know. a win is a win.

so. alice in borderland season 2. i have a lot of thoughts. spoilers ahead, obviously.

so to start off, i’m coming from the perspective of someone who read the second half of the manga and a few extra bits - so i know i am missing some of the characterization, but not all of the characterization. that said, while i like the inclusion of new games unique to the show, i’m not really wild about them cutting dodo’s inclusion in the plot to make it work - i think the dodo-heya-agni storyline serves a bit more than throwing arisu briefly in dodo’s spot (though i do love that they just fucking yeeted arisu off a cliff, that was fun lmao). but yeah, they showed heya’s seven of spades game, they could just have easily shown dodo in four of hearts.

or even better yet? give us a second season that’s starts in with the first few episodes being introductions to the newer characters and how they ended up in the borderland: give heya the full episode to be introduced in seven of spades, an episode for dodo to show off four of hearts, maybe let chishiya play six of diamonds and do his backstory there, and then start into the festivities for four episodes. Then, for funsies, since saori’s already dead and we don’t need to do much with her character, let banda do two of hearts in saori’s place, and then end season 2 with banda walking up the stairs to the penitentiary, so they have more basis to alternate narrators (or just pull chishiya out entirely as it is in the manga) for jack of hearts. why am i so insistent on taking more time instead of less? BECAUSE GOD DAMN THAT KUINA-ANN MONTAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST TWO EPISODES OF “KICKASS LESBIANS: THE SERIES (ALSO ARISU IS SOMETIMES IN THE BACKGROUND)” seriously they put so much into such a short time that i WISH they would have let their relationship flourish more meaningfully, and explain the games they played together a bit - even if they’re original games, it’s fun to see more happening and more thought put into the universe!

with those thoughts out of the way - there were some absolute fucking knockout games this time. the fact that they got fucking YAMAPI to be kyuma literally dropped my jaw in disbelief, and he did a fantastic job carrying it. king of diamonds was similarly absolutely fucking NAILED in the emotion of the performance - two very logical and calculating characters having subdued, but incredibly emotional moments as they play the game. queen of hearts? chills down my spine - it’s such a hard game to translate from the manga, but the choices they made really were fantastic. also mira is gaslight gatekeep girlboss and i love that for her. jack of hearts was an interesting choice to bring in chishiya, but i think it was smart to keep a character involved to keep us interested in the action based on the cast we already know and love.

king of spades sort of fell in the middle for me. as referenced for the entire first half of the post here i’m not really happy that they excluded dodo, but man they handled the rest of the main crew so well through the finale of it. not only allowing his inclusion be a believable driver for a lot of the relationships (kuina and ann, heya and agni,) showing off just *how much* power shirabi has - the fact that a 5 v 1 confrontation ends with 1 dead and 4 wounded, and even a concentrated explosion leaves him still clinging to life. but for all the work they put into showing how strong he is, it felt like they rushed through his backstory too quickly, and his death doesn’t feel as impactful as the manga.

speaking of rushed through! queen of spades. i know this was a show original but damn they really just sorta. rushed in a whole bunch of plot that didn’t really make sense, then threw us into the game, gave us the rousing speech, and then fun cool shot of risa getting nailed midair by the laser. i think with more time for the plot setup this would have been more meaningful, but i already belabored that above as well.

overall? solid fucking season despite my qualms, and i'm hoping we get a prequel/retry/border road series in the future, cause damn the joker on the table ain’t quite the same as joker in the manga lmao

*Written in August, before False has even named her empire

Tentative Title: Isekai’d into the wrong kingdom server

False’s 1st Empires episode made the gears in my head turn lmao

False fell asleep next to King Ren in the kingdom of Hermitcraftia. When she awoke, she was alone, in a world incredibly alien to her where familiar strangers welcome her with open arms.

The only thing False has are the clothes on her back and one mission: get home.

On the other end, King Ren wakes up to find his co-ruler missing, the other side of their shared bed gone cold in the middle of the night. The Queen of Hearts, Heads, and Body Parts is missing, and the Red King is not pleased.

An AU based on the Isekai plot that False Symmetry is going through on Empires SMP. Will obviously be very out of timeline and be very embellished compared to the current info that we have in terms of lore on both servers.

Edit: The Hermits are in Empires. I am in shambles. This AU is now considered a Universe Alteration.

Dogwarts / 3rd Life Cheat Sheet for MCC 15 Purple Pandas

Ren and Martyn were buddies in Season 1 of the 3rd Life SMP and they are an alliance known as the Renchanting duo/ Kingdom of Dogwarts. Now they’re finally teamed up, and the 3rd Life SMP members have a habit of referring to 3rd Life in MCC. The Ren-Martyn fandom also talks about Dogwarts a lot. If you have no idea what is a Dogwarts and why people love them, no fear! This post will try to explain it in simple terms.

3rd Life SMP is a SMP started by Grian. Season 1 has 14 members (roughly half are hermits, other half are friends of the hermits. You can find the full list in the description of Ren’s 3rd Life videos.) Everyone on the server has three lives— the first life symbolised by green names, second by yellow names, third by red names. If you lose all three lives, you permadie. Green names and yellow names are not allowed to be hostile unless they were attacked first, but the goal of red names is to kill everyone on the server. The three lives are also symbolised by three hearts, like this:

(Fun fact: Because of the green-yellow-red colours, the subtwt for 3rd Life is called traffictwt after traffic lights. The 3rd Life tumblr fandom is occasionally referred to as trafficblr.)

3rd Lifers record every week for three hours at the same time with proximity chat. The server has a small border to encourage interaction. They are eight sessions in total, and they’re all cut into YouTube episodes (no streams!), so it’s fairly bingeable.

So what’s the deal with Martyn and Ren?

Ren decided to set up an enchanting shop during the first session. Martyn was wandering around and having fun scaring people with creeper noises until he came to Ren’s enchanting shop. Martyn then used Ren’s enchanting service without paying (essentially a robbery), but Ren let Martyn go on the condition Martyn would act as a walking free advertisement. Martyn agreed, and they became business partners. Martyn actually coined the name Renchanting and its motto “Don’t be a Dog, be a God”. Ren named Martyn as his “marketing manager” (which sounds a little like Martynmanager).

True to his word, Martyn went around and spread the good news of Renchanting to everyone. Martyn brought business to Renchanting, and when Ren was being threatened by customers (who harassed Ren into lower his prices/ giving out enchantments for free), Martyn acted defensive of Ren and even said Ren was being “bullied”. Ren was being taken advantage of because he was too nice. (Martyn did do some stuff not related to Ren, but since this is a Dogwarts cheat sheet I won’t be mentioning that.)

Then came GoodTimesWithScar. The main “villain” to Renchanting, if you will.

Basically, Scar was playing the role of a cartoon villain. He scammed people out of their armour and possessions, and eventually found his way to Renchanting. At that point, Martyn and Ren were loyal to each other. Scar asked for Ren’s enchanting table. In return, when Scar turned red, he would not kill Ren and Martyn. Ren appeared to be torn, but due to Martyn depending on him and the business, he refused Scar’s offer (“you can’t take the enchanting out of Renchanting!”). Scar also acted condescending to Martyn (Martyn was seen as Ren’s “minion”). So Ren and Martyn were officially on Scar’s kill list, but Ren did not regret it.

At some point, Ren got tired of people walking into his store and stepping all over him, so he built high walls around the Renchanting building. Everyone (including Renchanting themselves) broke through the walls, and this was a running gag. Ren declared himself king by wearing the crown he got from MCC9 Blue Bats.

Note: Ren was kind, and it was the cruel world that forced Ren to be defensive. Other POVs paint them as the villain but Dogwarts enthusiasts will say that is not the case AT ALL.

Time passed. Scar turned red. He and his buddy Grian set up traps at Renchanting, and one blew up Ren and a bunch of other people. Ren, now a yellow name, was furious, but could not get his revenge because yellow names were not allowed to hurt other players. So naturally, Ren decided to become a red.

Ren renamed an axe to “RED WINTER IS COMING” and gave it to Martyn to chop his head off. (There’s some dramatic roleplay here, highly recommend a watch.) Martyn painfully did, and the message “Red Winter is Coming” was shown in the chat, which told everyone that Ren meant business. To test Martyn’s loyalty, Ren told Martyn he could kill him if he wanted to. Ren, freshly respawned and without armour, punched Martyn. Martyn, as a green name, could attack Ren due to Ren attacking first. However, Martyn did not kill Ren, and dramatically declared Ren was the one who showed him life, and thus he would return the favour.

So Ren was known as the Red King (with grey skin, bloodied MCC crown, and a Scottish/pirate accent). Martyn became known as the King’s Hand, and called Ren “my lord” “my liege”. Later, Martyn acquired an outfit with a cloak and a red hand on the back of the cloak, which is now used to symbolise Martyn.

They established the Kingdom of Dogwarts (after Hogwarts and the enchanting/magic gimmick) to find more allies (notable ones include Ethoslab and Skizzleman). Allies could stick a Red Banner in their base to show loyalty, members were called Red Knights / Red Army.

Without spoiling too much, Ren and Martyn remained loyal to each other till the very end. They were very dramatic (even jokingly called homoerotic by some lmao) and had many hardcore quotes, and are highly beloved. They are the most dramatic and RP intensive group on the server. So people want Dogwarts, the king and his hand, together again.

oh anon you have NO idea how happy this ask has made me oh my god i could talk about sansa *schmidt new girl voice* all day!

i first fell in love with sansa when i read the books in 2013 when i was 14/15 (probably a little too young to read asoiaf but let's just brush over that). i started watching the show a little after that and, frankly, did not enjoy the vibe very much at all. i don't think i've seen a full episode since season 3? literally the only way i consumed seasons 4-8 was watching sansa's scenes on youtube after every episode aired and i'm not sorry about it

OK LIKE canonically sansa has had a lot of crushes on boys (joffrey, loras, harry in the books if i remember right it's been literally 8 years since i read them) but they're always constructed as a fairytale fantasy in her head, literally the exact same way i used to have "crushes" on boys lmao. i adore her dynamic with a lot of the women in the show (margaery, obvs, but also brienne! and jeyne poole and mya in the books) and like not that grrm would ever but like. do it george. do it. i don't know i just think there's something to be said about sansa growing up (being forced to grow up) out of these fairytales and into the harsh reality of a world that's cruel to all young women, but especially young women named stark. and from that growth definitely comes the realisation that there are a lot of bad men in the world and very few truly good. and that there will never be a prince for her like in the fairytales, and maybe there comes a time for her to realise that she doesn't want one anymore.

i think that moment definitely comes in the show in s5/6. and i hope to god it's coming in the books if he ever finishes twow. and i think there's a very strong case for reading show sansa in those later seasons as a lesbian who, yeah, has realised that all she ever truly wanted was the idea of the perfect man. and the point is that that man doesn't exist.

BUT. theon oh my god theon. my love for theonsa is entirely show-based, i don't really remember theon in the books asdghavsjf but god GOD i loved their interactions in s5/6/8. and honestly i think it kind of comes down to the same idea. here is sansa, once an idealistic young girl who hoped for a golden-haired prince and a castle in the south for her own, now a young woman who has gone through horrors unimaginable yet had held onto herself, has come out the other side, has made a space for herself in the world unforgiving to young women named stark! and here is theon, once an arrogant, handsome, misguided young man who made terrible decisions, one after the other, that led him down the path to the man who who hurt him indescribably, who would shape him into something cruel and new, but who still held onto a sliver of himself, who regained that sliver of himself when he was put in the same rooms as sansa, when they walked the same halls, two ghosts, just trying to be heard. sansa doesn't need or want a fairytale prince and theon can't be and doesn't want to be the conquering hero anymore, the womaniser, the king. and i think in each other in the show before the episode that shall not be named they found something soft, something precious in one another that was not anything they had imagined for themselves, once upon a time;

but was worth wanting regardless.

Tokyo mew mew new season 1 ep 1-6 thoughts!! I'm finally getting around to watching it…I was procrastinating because once ive watched it I'll have to wait for season 2 -w-;; but I had to watch it this weekend since all of november ill be busy with nanowrimo! obv, spoilers under the cut, but this is basically an informal liveblog as I watch. only 1-6 for now, since im abt to leave to take my nephew trick or treating, ill prob watch the rest tomorrow tho! <3

EP 1

Ichigo's VA is So Good. -high schoolers instead of middle schoolers!! -Ichigo seeing aoyama all sweaty with his hair in that…helmet wrap thingy and STILL crushing on him is incredible. bc thats probably him at his Sweatiest, LMAO. (his awkward lil wave…PLS. theyre both so CUTE) -THE OPENING MADE ME CRY. LOOK AT THEM ALL. It's so dang CUTE. -Ichigo's friends new hairstyles are super cute -MINT!! -ICHIGO'S FRIENDS BEING SO SUPPORTIVE and getting their own character aspirations?? thats unexpected and cool! -love how they kept the animation so SILLY -mint hiding behind a tree and being annoyed at this hetero nonsense. queen of stealth -ichigo and her friends basically snooping for INFO. I love them LMAOO. mint being the best WINGwoman (pun intended) -Ichigo saying "MEN" when she was explaining she watched his kendo match LMAO -the lil sequence of seeing all the girls at the exibit…their main chara energies compared to the bg characters. love that for them -her admitting she doesnt know much abt conservation stuff was sweet. good on her for honesty -I know its for the sake of the plot, but having Ichigo NOT KNOW WHAT ENDANGERED MEANS AND SHES IN HIGH SCHOOL??? -aoyama ready to go full ecoterrorist in that lil date speech. ok king go off. heavy topic for a date (does..he even realize this is a date lol) -her being the optimist to his pessimist <3 -MASAGO KISS FIRST??? EP 2: -sorry…keiichiro is a CRYPTID INVESTIGATOR??? OK KING. THATS NEWS TO ME -Ichigo shaking masha's wing was so cute -cryptids are just chimera anima….new lore drop………..im shook. mothman is real in tmm universe. -ryou insisting hes NOT being a creep and having no concept of social norms while doing things ichigo 100% finds weird/creepy…dare I headcanon him as autistic? bc same king! -yeah something about them letting her be mew ichigo the entire ride to the cafe when she couldve changed back anytime was HILARIOUS -ryou telling ichigo shes important becaUSE SHES A BIOWEAPON. ONCE AGAIN HAVING NO CLUE ABOUT SOCIAL ETTIQUTE. THIS IS HOW AUTISTIC RYOU CAN WIN -'when i woke up I was already home!' bro are u not even worried about that? at all? if I passed out in public and woke up at home I would have. SO many concerns and questions. aoyama is the king of rolling with it ig -they replaced lettuce's bullies. and yet. they still suck very much. poor girl I feel SO BAD for her even knowing how itll play out :") -keiichiro rly said u can have unlimited sweets and ichigo agreed to work at the cafe. girl ask about ur WAGES. excited for the ep where the mews will Unionize -I think lettuce Deserves to be a Menace if she wants to. EP 3: -dont know if ive said it yet but the cafe bg characters are always really cute -ichigo being BAFFLED at mint being Nice to Lettuce jkhkjad -'the animals at the zoo arent anything special' girl anyone who turns down a zoo date is weak and will succumb to natural selection. zoos are so fun tf -ichigo worrying aoyamas not having fun…girl hes an introvert and ur energy is A LOT and hes prob flustered. let him LIVE -I love being proven right 0.2 seconds later after I type something. him getting flustered/nervous and holding Ichigo bc of it. shes his emotional support cat i am LIVING -then him being SUPRISED he was even nervous aww…theyre so CUTE -him immediately infodumping abt cats body temps. another autistic king but I KNEW that in my heart already -goddamn theyre so cute -pudding being the ultimate dateblock queen. here for her energy tho -puddings energy during the unconsentual kiss was WRONG tho. ichigo being abt to cry abt it…death to kish for 1000 years -is there a lore reason that cat protected aoyama? do normal animals like…instincutally wanna fight chimera anima/sense theres smth wrong with them? (i mean ik in universe the implication is prob the cat trusted aoyama and wanted to help him bc he helped it or w/e. just Thinking) -kish immediately saying ichigos boring so he'll kill her…he rly does just see her as a lil toy ugh. in a weird way it reminds me of rose quartz from SU, how she treated greg as a fun lil toy at first instead of a real Person bc humans = aliens to the aliens. if that makes sense. and he Does have reason to dislike humans/preconcieved notitions (not to excuse his behavior towards ichigo, but its INTERESTING and I do like him as a chara, just not the ship, lol)

EP 4: -ryou with his goddamned square window, again. im having a FIT -his room IS kinda sad. damn -im sorry, I swear they also described zakuro as having black hair in the og anime, but WHERE. its PURPLE -mint still gay. good. shes such a lil fangirl -her gay fantasy of hugging zakuro and having a Moment with her lmao. girl same -mint knocking ichigo out of her fantasy to turn around and freak out abt there being lint on her clothes and she cant let zakuro see that. then ichigo sayin she understands the feeling. how else could this possibly be interupted except ichigo being the best ally -LETTUCE GETTING THE ROLE OF ROCK I AM LOSING MY MIND -the knight mint/ichigo prince dynamic. I am Shocked. and Gleeful -lettuce stayed in character as a rock. love that for her -zakuro saved their asses in the audition. ok theater queen!!! go off!! they rly just segued into a full ass music video and im living for it. mint is truely living her self insert dreams too -I love the mix of manga and the old anime stuff! very Cool -the birds fucking GETTING zakuro oh my god i would CRY -glad zakuro is putting up a fuss about joining the team still. esp after they just showed her they arent rly working as a unit yet! still very harsh on mint which HURTS but I love the conflict. the girls are fightinggg

EP 5: -so all the bg charas at the cafe are girls. it makes it look like a lesbian superhub -mints Super Okay facade HURTS. she should be allowed to be lazy -I burst out laughing when they showed micky. why he look like that lmao -mint's brother has more than like 2 speaking lines, I am Shocked -pjs……cute -and pillow fight….they are all so cute ARGH Im literally getting cuteness agression fromw watching this -this is how ichimint can still win (theyre being cute at a sleepover and talking abt their feelings) -mints whole thing with her family and also recongizing she doesnt really KNOW zakuro. omg. they added so much depth im so happy…that whole mint monologe was so GOOD -god kishu calling mickey annoying. if he turned MY YAPPY little dog into a monster it would be on sight. mint should get rights to maul him right after ichigo does. i love yappy little dogs. EP 6: BABY CHICKS?? WHERE /DID/ THOSE COME FROM IS THIS A PUN IM NOT UNDERSTANDING -glam lettuce is everything. i love watching them SCHEME TOGETHER -performer squad mews is so iconic -thinking abt mints fierce gaze while ur singing ur power ballad, huh, zakuro?? thats kinda gay. -ichigo's kitty phone. cute -this fucking security guard is having the worst day of his career LMAO -my god, mint just awakened zakuro as a lesbian LMAO zakuro has been hanging on her every word and theyre inspiring each other…ITS REAL. TH GAYS MUSTVE EATEN THIS UP AS IT AIRED. IM THE GAYS -mint and zakuro's respect and love feels a lot more balanced in this version, which I love -kish makes some feral ass faces -kish being SHOCKED zakuro would join the fight?? sir youre the one bringing the chimera to them to awaken all of them! youre doing that! what did u expect! -how did the live camera not catch zakuro transforming? how does no one recongize them!! esp zakuro!! she looks!! the SAME!!!!
