there's something so deeply dystopian to me how tech companies don't understand that a forced convenience is not a convenience at all. i'm sure autocorrect is helpful for many, but a function that forcibly changes my actual written words and punctuation is taking away my language. photo filters can be nice but i need to choose using them myself or else i have lost the ability to take the picture i want. i don't want a machine to draw or write for me. taking away the option for me to do things manually feels like violence!!!! all this talk of endless opportunity, why are you RESTRICTING me

#haha im upset an android update removed my most used screenshotting tools while forcing more ai garbage on me #tech companies go sit in the staircase and think about what you've done #there are many technical conveniences i choose to rely on because they're convenient for my sensibilities #but these should not be the default for anyone or the only option #it's like. it's technology. it has the capability of being personalised for our actual use and convenience like isn't that the POINT #AHHHHHHHHH #also with all the ai bullshit it's so hard to fully underline how much i enjoy the act of drawing and creating and i don't WANT it to be #more 'convenient' or easy?#not in the eay techbros think anyway. i think there should be accessibility tools and options to make the Process good for Your Needs #which is not. having a machine create something in your stead ??? ??????????

I'm trying REALLY hard not to build up any solid expectations, because I wanna go in ~fresh~! they're already so far away from anything I thought would happen (not in a bad way, I'm just accepting that I'm on Miss Yana's Wild Ride at this point and we're seeing this thing through 'til the end, by gum). so it's nothing too major, but:

they've been handing new crying expressions out like candy lately, I want to see some delicious Malleus tears.

honestly I want everyone to cry buckets. their tears sustain me. the more Silver angst specifically I get the happier I am.

i think its so funny when people take the way donnie acts at face value even though its a horrible lie because he's a horrible liar, while understanding leo is bullshitting very well despite him actually being GOOD at bullshitting. many such cases

Every remake of a game should come with a copy of the game it is remaking that is compatible with modern hardware but otherwise untouched and I'm not even exaggerating this should be mandated by law. If you're going to attempt to recreate a piece of art you have to give people access to its original context otherwise it becomes the only context and makes the previous version simply a superceded product

i don't know who needs to hear this but your f/o will not be upset or weirded out if you're getting upset over something "tiny". if an activity/interaction/situation is getting you just overwhelmed or frustrated or even angry to the point of tears, they aren't gonna be weirded out or think of you any less. they aren't gonna tell you to chill out or that you're over reacting.

what they are gonna do is try to help you through. try to maybe offer a distraction from the thing making you frustrated or just try and calm you down. maybe breathing exercises if they are familiar with them or a hug if you like those. anything just to help you. because they care about you <3

even if we ignore the incredible racism and whitewashing of Natlan in basically its entirety, and the potential fact that her name comes from a Zulu goddess, her character is nothing but a fat girl layered in tropes

her splash art has her in the middle of eating a taco, her main attack in combat is a ground pound with her big butt, one of her idles is her inhaling a scooby-doo lookin-ass sandwich, some other leaked info says she's "a food-eating champion", and to top everything off SHE IS LITERALLY A COW????

combine those two awful things with a design and personality that is pure uwu cutesy softgirl with knit sweater arm and leg sleeves, the tiniest miniskirt, pastel colors, hearts everywhere, and of course some prominent tiddies and thicc thighs - with superficial connection to the land of Natlan, let alone the world of Genshin Impact on the whole - you get the absolute worst character in the 4.5 years this game has been running, built on prejudices and stereotypes and reduced to goonerbait, because apparently that's what hoyo cares about now
