I really do wonder how Suletta and Eri's casual relationship is, cause Eri and Miorine's seems to be playfully annoying, practically family-like already. Keyword being casual ofc tho cause already Eri and Suletta have always cared unconditionally for the other above all else
I like to think that not much changes between Suletta and Eri; they act as they always have (I.E w/o having to use Robot Morse Code and instead actual language) and if anything, their relationship is only strengthened because there's no more secrets anymore. They're both on the same page now.

What if Apollo and Persephone fight over who is Artemis' favorite sibling?
Apollo: We were born in Delos together.
Persephone: We grew up and rule Sicily together.
Apollo: Artemis loves hunting with me more than others.
Persephone: She loves gathering flowers with me, too.
Apollo: We always dance together!
Persephone: I dance with her and Athena too!
Apollo: I fought the Aloadae giants when they tried to abduct her!
Persephone: I dragged a woman to the Underworld when she stop worshipping her!
Apollo: I'm her twin brother!!!
Persephone: We come from the same loin!!!
Artemis: Guys, I love you both! Now stop fighting like children, for Gaia's sake!

i think mizu5 foreshadows that ena is going to understand bc of the entire thing with the mystery escape room and how ena is the one who figures out that mizuki would have the final answer hidden among one of the stuffed animals bc that's "so like her" and /she was right/. yeah it ended up being in the stuffed animal hanging up from the ceiling, but mizuki herself says that this was touya's idea bc he wanted a twist, so ena technically figured it out?
the escape room and the key that should have been in reach which was moved out of reach due to the ideas of another person! it's not that toya is transphobic but i feel like the way he sort of co-opts mizuki's idea for the final answer of the escape room by inserting his own idea of a twist is meant to be analogous to how ena was almost about to grasp mizuki's own secret through mizuki herself and her language before mizuki got co-opted by her transmisogynistic classmates from a narrative standpoint.
it's the key ripped out of reach - oh, it's more "fun" if you make it more complicated unnecessarily even though that takes away the personal satisfaction. they remove mizuki's voice.
the escape room is genuinely so vital to understanding the intent? it's literally mizuki's heart. her shirt even has 3 symbols on it: maze, lock and key. it couldn't be more obvious. mizuki and locked rooms... if you read umineko, you'd understand...

The most impressive part of the cultist simulator/book of hours universe is the amount of insane theological discourse all these different groups were having, genuinely fascinating to read about the different ways the Hours were worshipped. It's also impressive because this has meta-game consequences to where I will see an in game piece of lore and go "ah no i disagree with that interpretation of the solar hours I don't think the Door-In-The-Eye can be counted among them" and I'll realize I've fallen for the trap.

deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao
not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad
#people ask me sometimes why ill occasionally talk about something i like and then go 'but it's bad' and the answer is usually because it is#i love teen wolf. i love genshin impact. i love detective conan. and i fucking LOVE taylor swift. that doesnt mean theyre good#it just means i like them. and recognizing their flaws actually helps me better identify what i like about them!#it's like. in my mind bad > good is the x axis and i like it > i dont like it is the y axis yk. they're not mutually exclusive#tldr it's not that serious. we can all relax a little#irt taylor swift i do also think she has done some real harm to her fans in enabling them to deflect all criticism of her as misogyny#and i don't think it's fully the fault of these people who are parroting that response bc so much of her marketing has deliberately#reinforced this idea that to be a swiftie is to be a part of a sisterhood and that any attack on taylor is an attack on all of those women#who are in that in-group. when that's obviously not the case. but she's marketed herself as. for lack of a better term. 'girl music'#to the point where it makes her fans feel as though any criticism of the music or the woman responsible for it is an attack on their#personal experience of womanhood/girlhood/sisterhood/etc. and that's how you get all of thess bad-faith accusations of misogyny#i don't necessarily think this was her deliberate goal with her marketing tho because like. on first glance such a strong sense of communit#among fans sounds like a great thing. the friendship bracelets i got at the eras tour movie are really genuinely special to me.#but it does present a problem when your fans are unable to separate how they feel about the community and experience your music has fostere#from how they feel about you as a person. especially when you are a billionaire who absolutely CANNOT be above criticism in this economy#anyway. tldr i love taylor's music and i don't think swiftie hivemind is as deliberately malicious as it may seem#but it's obviously necessary to be able to take a step back and look objectively at what you're participating in.#anyway stream ttpd or don't idc <3#taylor swift

Get To Know Me: Video Game Edition!
Tumblr media
(Can you tell that I'm obsessed with I Was a Teenage Exocolonist and Hades?)
I haven't played a lot of games yet, so this was kinda hard. Some other games that I like are:
Potion Permit
Beacon Pines
Coral Island
I'm also trying out some demos from the Steam Next Fest, and these are my favorites so far:
Stray Gods
Lakeburg Legacies
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood
And here's the blank template:

This may be a controversial opinion but we need to normalize and have more “bitchy” girls in media who aren’t complete assholes but labeled bitchy by everyone else because they have a rougher attitude than most people. We need more girls who don’t have to become nice by the end of the story to get their happy ending.
I don’t owe anyone niceness. I owe them respect and decency. Those things do not equate to niceness. Maybe it’s the depression talking but I cannot be upbeat and happy all the time. I shouldn’t be expected to greet everyone with a hello and a smile at my workplace. But especially in retail if you so much as say hi with a straight face you’ve got attitude or are being mean. Take it from a childhood people pleaser, I lost my sense of self trying to be nice and perfect for everyone. Doing so was one of the reasons I got so burnt out at my last job. We don’t owe you niceness.
The few girls in media I can think of off the top of my head who fit this:
Kat in 10 Things I Hate About You
Tibby from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Paris Geller in Gilmore Girls (I haven’t finished this show and while Paris is irrevocably horrible to people in some instances she still isn’t made to be nice to everyone and people accept her even when she’s not happy).
Julie Powers from Scott Pilgrim
April Ludgate from Parks and Rec
Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family/Wednesday
Edit: MAEVE WHITMAN from Sex Education also!
Any recommendations people have with women who fit this as main/sub protagonists would be greatly appreciated!

the war in gaza disproportionately affects Palestinian women and girls:
around 2/3 of the Palestinians killed in Gaza are women and children (x); that's 3 women killed every hour (x)
less than a month into the war, almost 500,000 women and girls had been displaced from their homes in Gaza (x); this number has now almost doubled to 950,000 (x)
there are already documented incidents of Israeli soldiers sexually assaulting Palestinian women and girls prior to this war; the sexual violence is likely to escalate (x)
women and girls cannot access sexual and reproductive healthcare (x) which means that victims of sexual violence won't be able to access urgent care like emergency contraception or PrEP treatment to prevent HIV (x)
Palestinian women have been forced to have C-sections without painkillers or anaesthesia (x)
over 140 Palestinian women (including pregnant women/women with babies) have been detained by Israeli Occupation Forces on unknown charges (x)

though, lingering over that last post....I wonder how easily this trips into horror story? I mean, in this world where there are child-producing marriages and then sisterhoods/brotherhoods for the rest, this obviously allows the family to keep a stranglehold on their collective assets and wealth. Therefore, I bet that family is an even more tightly-locked cage for those born into it.
Oh, you thought that if you could just escape marriage you'd be free, didn't you? You thought you could join the local order and letter manuscripts or tend goats or say prayers over the dying---but no. No, that's for other people's sons and daughters. You have no escape. You will serve your family forever, whether you will or no. You marry who they tell you to and live in your family's third-nicest castle your whole life; you can have as many lovers and bastards as you want, you can earn coin all on your own, if you can, but it will come to naught in the end. You will be cursed with absolute surety of where you fall: res nullius.
As it was and ever shall be, amen.

Getting a kitschy coffee mug with a quote about sisterhood from my sister was a surprisingly gender affirming experience. I know she see’s me for who I am and views me as her sister, but the affirmation is really sweet and I love it so much
