sometimes a story that hits you is a well known property you can easily pitch to your friends and sometimes a story that hits you is a play being put up on your university campus right after midterms week by a small local company on a day none of your friends are free and you just kind of have to live with that

#asto's tales #im the lighting op so i got to watch the rehearsal yesterday and #FUCK it's SO GOOD #i mean it was always gonna appeal to me cuz it talks a lot about like #life and death in the very like. the morality/responsibility over live (your children/your own)#it's an anthology so it goes into a lot of things. there's a dance number about the creation of the solar system (i think)#it's a very fast dubstep song and i gotta go. try and interpret the lighting designers notes....#but yeah it's really good. teared up twice in the goddamn REHEARSAL #eulogy for a snake and the afterlife. i might talk about them more after the show but they're soooo good #'guess we kept to our vows huh' 'till death do us part?' 'and now we part' (later) 'do you need help with your garden' ARGHHH #yeah i'll get to watch the play at least 4 more times next week (1 full dress + 3 official shows) and im so excited
