your grandfather, head coach at UConn had invited you to come to one of the team practices. It was your junior year at the school and Geno had been interested in you potentially becoming team manager. 

you, on the other hand, didn't have much interest in the sport. you had grown up with it, yes, but you didn't pay any mind to it. you would sport UConn colors and jerseys when you went to games, but you never kept up with anything unless your grandfather had told you. 

however, when you stepped foot into the locker room when you went to the first practice with your grandfather, you met the team and got to know their personalities you reconsidered the idea of managing.

now, it being your second year in the position you knew all the girls and had grown close with everyone. you treated everyone equally and tried to stop yourself from favoriting others. that being said, you always seemed to fold when it came to nika. 

it had been the joke of the year that she was into you, and you really didn't mind. (even if you would never admit it) she was pretty and always had a positive outlook, not to mention her cute accent. 

"dude you really have got to get a grip," you turned to see paige talking to nika as they walked into the locker room, your eyebrows knitting together at the possible reasoning for paige's words. 

"what's up guys?" you waved as you spoke, watching as paige and nika smiled at you. yet, you don't miss the look paige gives nika. 

"oh nothing, nika is just plotting on how to ask you out. normal things." paige shrugs, her signature smirk on her face. you roll your eyes, looking to nika to see her cheeks flushed. 

"bueckers five laps." you cross your arms as you grin, knowing that she really couldn't say no to you. "what? no way, you're not the coach!" she groans, but goes to put her bags down nonetheless. "i've got the same last name, it counts!" you smirk as you watch her start running. 

"you hot? you're a little red in the face over there.." you turn to nika, a playful "pfft" coming from your mouth as she turns away, getting impossibly redder. "shut up," nika mumbles, and before long you guys get to talking about random things completely forgetting about the comment. 

some of the girls had walked into the gym, Inês pointing at the two of you with a questioning look while she grabbed some things from her locker. "nika did you finally do it?" you turned around confused, and Inês' eyes widened before she quickly shut up. 

practice started shortly after, and you headed back to your office, trying to find a hotel for the team for their game against Duke.

two hours later the team files into the locker room, the noise level rising considerably. your door was closed and the blinds were drawn, not only to give the girls whatever privacy a locker room can permit, but to try and help you focus. 

planning out places the school could afford along with having them be big enough for the team was proving to be difficult lately. you're pulled out of your thoughts by a knock at the door, yelling a quick come in before Nika opens the door. 

"hey nika, what's up?" you smile, crossing your arms over your chest as you look at her. "oh nothing much, um, i was just wondering ifmaybeyouwantedtogetdinnersometime?" you think you just got whiplash from that statement. "what?" you could not hear a word she said. 

Nika takes a deep breath, leaning against the door. she looked good, her hair messy from practice. she was glowing, per usual. "um, i was wondering..if maybe you wanted to get dinner sometime? it can be just as friends! or not, i mean, i don't know, but you know?" 

you smile at her, nodding. "yeah sure, I would love to go on a date with you! is it like a double date where you bring a guy and i bring one?" you giggle as you watch her face fall "i'm kidding, that sounds fun nika, i would love to." 

she releases the breath she didn't know she was holding, and she smiles at you. you were quickly distracted by KK slamming the door open, almost pushing nika over, and yelling. "did you do it?! please tell me you did it i cannot keep getting calls at 2am from you." 

nika's face goes bright red as she nods, the team cheering in the back. "she's been meaning to do that for almost two years!" paige yelled from her locker, shaking her head. you turn to nika to see her shrugging. 

"i thought you were cute?" she smiles innocently as you shake your head with a smile. "well at least i finally understand all the jokes about you being in love with me."

huehuehue so it's not really anything super crazy but there IS a story behind it

back when I was working on my longform dark fantasy series (Time Gate), I wanted to try and get back into doing gag strips (which is what I had started with when I got into webcomics) and so I made like, this really dinky little shitposting comic that I named after the cereal box that shows up in the first season of Family Guy-

I think I only updated that comic maybe a handful of times, and then I just sorta left it. It was a very cringe unfunny comic, and I don't even mean cringe "offensive" unfunny, I mean just cringe "where's the joke even" unfunny LOL

Then YEARS later I was making an LO critical blog (this one!) and I was trying to think of a name, when I thought hey, what was the name of that shitposting comic I made years ago ?? and I remembered it was called 'generic puffs'

so I gave myself the name 'genericpuff' and it's not only since stuck, but it's become an ironic meta joke about how rekindled is seen as the 'off-brand LO'

you gotta understand, rekindled wasn't even a glimmer in my eye yet when i made this blog, i literally only set out to create a space for myself where i could dump all of my LO criticisms and panel edits separate from my main account (esp because at the time, there was a lot of sus behavior happening from the main subreddit, with people trying to dox users in the ULO subreddit, nasty shit like that that i didn't wanna press my luck with by doing it all from one account lol) and now it's just like. it's whole own thing and that's really neat but also holy crap i never knew that that old shitposting unfunny comic would end up coming in handy some day

but here's the thing about generic non-name brand cereals

they're often the exact same , if not better, than the original brand

I have some to spare and waste as I have a one week vacant due to some reasons and now I'm thinking of making a Zhongli x Reader whole story but with all the imagines world over you and one shot, mainly the without me/you all mixed up into one ff.

I am also thinking if I would name it after my first Zhongli x Reader ff 'Warmth' but unlike the first ff which is filled with nothing but fluff, this one would be full of angst and suffering as already hinted on it's reference.

Alyways this is an idea I have been thinking for a while now but never really had the time and brain to write it but I may, or may not.

Also, I'm thinking that f I were to in fact write is, should I post it here or nah? I'm prettt sure I will post it on quotev or wattpad as well as ao3 tho.

Apparently I am a "new" "fake" ASOIAF fan who "lacks media literacy" because I don't like Daemon's plotline this Season on HOTD.

God I hate the idea that if you don't like something that somehow makes you stupid.

I have read Fire and Blood, I loved Season 1, if anything I felt S1 was a bit rushed and would have given the younger actors all 1 season and then 1 season with the older actors before kicking off the actual war but HBO was never gonna do that cause that would have been 2 seasons of minimal actions due to there being no justifiable reason for there to be battles.

S2 has had more action sure but it's been as a result of some of the dumbest character decisions I've seen. Everyone is suddenly stupid in this world. Rhaenyra sneaking into King's Landing? Dumb as fuck. Daemon being peak paranoid but trusting Alys Rivers a clearly very sketchy woman who told him he was going to die here? No sorry that ain't how human interactions work.

We do not need a whole season of Daemon seeing ghosts just for him to realise he never wanted the Throne when I THOUGHT THAT WAS OBVIOUS LAST SEASON WHEN HE ON TWO SEPERATE OCCASIONS DELIBERATELY PLACED THE CROWN ON OTHER PEOPLES HEADS. And Daemon realising his guilt and regrets surrounding his treatment of Rhaenyra, Laena and Viserys could be interesting if it wasn't so clearly just filler. Like that's what it is. Also his guilt over him being a bad family man is annoying cause that only exists before they cut all of his good scenes last season with his kids so it's "character development" built on character regression THEY, THE WRITERS, did.

The plotline hasn't been engaging, it's been confusing cause sometimes it's obvious when its fake (ie. He wakes up from a dream) but other times it isnt and I now assume the scene with the Riverlords complaining to him was real the issue is he has completely ignored them since that episode so like..... i feel like thats a prettt important thing he should be dealing with but instead hes got to have his therapy session with Alys Rivers. If your "character development" scenes are making the plot seem unnatural or in some cases down right stupid, scrap it and start again cause there is literally a war going on and Daemon hasn't actually done something productive to the plot since Ep1.

And OK, yes, he'll fix it all in the next episode, he'll realise he doesn't want to he King, he'll rally the Riverlords and he'll fly back to Rhaenyra but ONE episode of actual plot progression does not justify the whole season of filler especially when the character development they're trying to justify it with does not make sense when I do not believe the Daemon we ended Season 1 with is the same one who entered Harrenhal this season and they had to deliberate regress his character to try and justify this plotline because they couldn't have Daemon's plot get too far ahead of the rest... Just have him in less episodes, you're allowed to do that.

The plotline is bad. Like if you're enjoying it great. I actually really like Alys Rivers, her actress is fantastic and she's got chemistry with Matt Smith (although not hard he can have chemistry with a mop and bucket) but the plot is just not good, and I'm allowed to say that without being called names for fuck sake.

If ever you use a third-party booking app to book hotel accommodations, I would recommend you stay clear of Agoda. I heard the name here and there but never used them. My partner used them for some time & for the second time in Indonesia this trip. They sold us a room at a place with a 9/10 rating on location, value, etc. the price was great and he had just been upgraded in member status so he’d gotten a discount on a discount. It was a time sale too so we only had like 15 minutes to decide on the room. He’s taken care of everything so far and we’ve been enjoying our time tons. We were so excited to get a little bit of an upgrade for the week ahead in Sanur, a new city & change of pace from Ubud. We wanted a nice place to stay with a slow pace so we could still get work done (and save a bit) after staying in a party city like Kuta and a trendy area like Ubud just prior.

We get there early and have some language trouble during check-in. Cool. No problem at all. Thank god for phones and translation software. We get led to a room, any room, it seemed. The room was hot and smelled like mold. Maybe they weren’t ready for us but it just felt so like “okay just take this room”. Which like, okay fine, they probably were not expecting us yet but didn’t wanna turn us away. Again, communication issues. I understand the pressure. The guy at the front at the time (only staff member there then) gave a smile and we exchanged thank yous after all was said and done. But the room. The room smelled like it had been baking in the sun for however long until we got there and we turned on the ac. We sucked it up cuz it was just nice to not be in the sun with all our bags. But honestly the car ride there from Ubud (55min away) was more enjoyable.

The decor. Do not get me started. The furniture was made of cheap wooden particle board. Not my style for sure and definitely an eyesore as it wasn’t even smoothed or coated like maybe ikea/nitori. The bathroom shelving was made of this too. That kind of material exposed to prolonged heat, moisture & lack of airflow is nottttt good.

We wanted to let the room cool down and check out the area cuz honestly mosquitoes were enjoying us and the beach was close by, so we left for a stroll.

The location was also meh. A couple sports bars with late forty/fifty something men and a nearby local beach that was very quiet. Fine, since we were looking to relax and don’t need beach party resort vibes at all, but I was definitely wondering what we would be doing all week within walking distance since there wasn’t much and the hotel left a lot to be desired. Remember it was advertised as a 9/10. There was no communal space. There was a cute pool but it was really small and you could tell that was the focal point of all the photos from the ad we got pushed. The small pool and the room. It felt so tight. The bathroom was large but was behind a particle board door, making the bedroom area feel even more cramped. It felt like a place just to crash, not really hang or spend time. Especially for two people.

I’m not worried about safety here tooo bad compared to other places but on the other hand I’m from NY and I don’t trust anyone anywhere so like the door to our room just being a 95% glass, slide door with a curtain and a turn lock (kinda like a balcony door) and a tiny key did not feel secure. Esp with first floor access and no one at the front desk. It felt like a mailbox lock lol.

Most importantly, the room just was not comfy and there were bugs everywhere, even in the bed. After our walk which I was overdressed for, I was exhausted from the heat and sweating so much and I just plopped on the bed. By that time, the room was cooler. I wasn’t feeling well and I didn’t care about all the ants and mosquitoes and bugs or smell. I was prettt shindoi - I had had a beer while we were out & not much water. After some rest, maybe 20-30 minutes I decided I needed a shower. (That’s when I noticed the particle board door & shelves and stuff) I almost thought it was communal shower I was about to say. I did not bring my own towel this trip (mistake) and was reluctant to use theirs but I mean I had no choice besides maybe air dry, lol. (Which would have been fine but again sliding balcony door with just white! curtain to cover) - uh no.

I think we were both feeling like we wanted to leave the room again and check out the downtown area near another beach, so we got some bikes on Grab (ride sharing but on motorbike) & left. THIS area was a 9 for location and this area had wayy more shops, bars, restaurants, variety of people and was way more upbeat and scenic. The beach stretched forever and we walked for a long long time & found a good happy hour. We had pizza during sunset. The evening was setting in and we eventually made our way back to our room.

We got back, looked around and we decided to find alternative rooms to stay. Maybe I was just noticing them more than before or maybe cuz it was night, but the bugs were to the extent we thought we might not be able to sleep comfortably and were looking for alternative places because a WEEK would have not been possible. We found a room somewhere else and booked it tf out of there. (As we were getting our bags, a big ass water bug/flying cockroach tried to come into the room) and that was the last straw though my partner and I collectively had similar thoughts all day about the whole experience.

We tried to get a partial refund but we couldn’t, and I’m so mad at Agoda for selling us this room for so much money (even though it was discounted) cuz there’s no way it was worth paying for at the discounted rate never mind the usual rate. It was not a 9/10 and I would not recommend it to a friend. Like I could not even bring my mom there. My partner has asthma & dust allergy and the dust stuck in the particle board grooves of the headboard and bugs, mold etc ugh it was just too much. Dont think we will get anything back even though we were physically in the room for less than two hours. We are cutting our losses at this point. I hope they use the money for some better furnishings and bug control so no one else is tricked the way we were. It’s cool if they don’t too, but that rating system is hella flawed and my grievances are mostly with Agoda cuz we wouldn’t have stayed there otherwise/if we knew what we know now.

There’s more horror stories on Reddit and YouTube now that we had time to look into this blasted companies practices. Def doing our due diligence if we plan to use them again this trip. No time sales and double checking all bookings prior to check in.

Super happy with where we are staying now tho. So glad we even had the funds to even do so 😅

I think she only "befriended" Takizawa? She was very grumpy around the White Suit since they were calling her names.

So yeah I like how Takizawa made her leave the island with him and then offered to bring her food, in return she shared some weird philosophy with him (from the guy he hated the most). He also played a part in her character development too by making her leaving her grudge with Amon behind, so it's nice. I think he thought of her as a little sister, since he also has one.
