A Trainer was killed recently by a wild Hydreigon and just…for Arc’s sake, I wish people had more common sense. This was not a random or unprovoked attack. The area that the Hydreigon lived in is closed off to the public. There are signs posted up and a fence that blocks the trail leading to its territory, yet the Trainer still entered, most likely to try to catch a powerful Pokémon. What he didn’t know is that this was a female Hydreigon with a clutch of eggs. Naturally, she felt that her nest was being threatened and retaliated. Is the situation tragic? Absolutely. A young Trainer lost his life, his parents lost a son, the Sylveon he had with him was not only injured in the attack, but lost its Trainer and will possibly be rehomed, along with his other Pokémon. The Hydreigon is now considered a man killer and will be euthanized, despite the fact that she was only protecting her eggs. Then of course, you have the idiots on social media who don’t know the full story saying that all Hydreigon are dangerous and should be killed on sight. These are the same people who won’t say a word about the Dragonite who have done the exact same thing for the exact same reason. Dragon-types are territorial. They are dangerous, especially in the wild. Hydreigon are far from being the only Dragons that cause injuries or deaths. This wouldn’t happen at all if people would just stay out of their territory.

I hate how YouTube video essays always focus on the absolute worst parts of dnp and the phandom. Nobody ever talks about how much they trailblazed mainstream recognition for online content creators. Why are they always diminished to “omg their fans were such annoying weirdos lol” as if the phandom going to tatinof en masse wasn’t a big part of why YouTuber tours started to be taken more seriously. I actually think that nobody who isn’t in the phandom currently should get to speak about them or us ever because they never actually get what it’s all about.

And another thing, why is everything so stupidly inconsistent? Why does Blackman insist on adding nonsensical plot points for the sake of convenience?

Let’s take the marigold for example. How exactly did they get it? I know the timelines were blending together or whatever, but that explanation is too vague and it doesn’t make sense. And why was the marigold wonky? Why didn’t it give them back their original powers? Am I missing something? Why was Allison suddenly able to not only mind control people, but blast them back?? Viktor’s powers have nothing to do with sound and energy anymore. Lila can shoot beams from her eyes but she can still mimic? Like what? And Klaus can float now, but it was used exactly….once. In the finale. And conveniently enough, Five was the only one who didn’t get a power upgrade, or the only one who couldn’t figure out his own powers (even though it’s not different at all and it’s literally still BLINKING) because they needed him to end up in some time travel subway that we don’t know who made or why it was made

There are no rules, no consistencies, no cohesiveness. Plot points are just thrown in for the sake of convenience, not because they actually make sense or work with the overall vision of the story

Mild Spoilers for my fanfiction “Fire and Runepowder”

But I’m sick of romance scenes getting overridden by other night scenes.

My second playthrough when I romanced Karlach once I entered act 2 I beelined it to Dammon to fix her engine and was super excited for the night, only for Mizora to show up. Delaying my night with her by one night.

So this time, knowing Mizora shows up the first night of act 2, I didn’t talk to Dammon until the second day. I defended Isobel and saved Rolan and stuff like that day 1, camped, Mizora scene. Next day talked to Dammon first thing then went to Moonrise. That way I figured the story would flow better even though my story isn’t explicit.

Went to camp eager to get the night with Karlach…..only for Gale’s mirror image to tell me he wants a talk!

Like, come on, people who romance Karlach wait so long to finally be able to kiss her, then you get scenes overriding her.

so i’m 1:20:00 into that twin peaks explained video, i wanted to give it a try to form my own opinion on it. and it’s painful. it sucks. some parts im following, yes there is definitely something there with dreams and electricity etc. but the basic concept and thesis is just so silly. i mean for one claiming there is a single truth to the show and you have it is just egotistical (i understand why it’s framed like that, it’s to get more views but still) he’s treating the show as a literal mystery to solve instead of art to analyze. (a major problem i personally have with how twin peaks is usually talked about)

and then there is the actual thesis of the theory. that twin peaks is about tv violence. my problem with that is that television violence isn’t like… a tangible problem? characters being murdered on tv isn’t a thing that one would try to solve through writing a great show. drama has Always existed within art. drama (like murder) is a core tenet of storytelling. that’s not even to get into how so far he’s completely ignored the types of real life violence the story of twin peaks might be analogous for. yes there is another 3 hours left, i will keep watching and see if he gets to it. but so much of twin peaks story is about domestic violence against women, mainly within the nuclear family system. i find it frustratingly perplexing how so many people can walk away from the show and just ignore that!
