I’m playing Virtual Console Crystal and I have my Feraligatr Jerry at level forty, I’m at the Rocket Radio signal secret base. Me and Lance go to take out the electrode powering the machine. I think to myself “wouldn’t it be funny if one of these extremely limited encounterable Pokémon was shiny???”.

The first electrode I encounter is blue. “Gee” I think to myself, “I hope my overpowered alligator doesn’t one hit this lvl 23 shiny”. Scratch knocks it down about 1/4 health. I use the only Ultra Ball I have on me, found in the hideout. It shakes once, twice, on the third shake I’m like “Yes!!!”

On the third shake it breaks out. “What the fuck” I think. Oh well I at least have a great ball I can use to try…

#Pokémon #Shiny Hunt #shiny hunting #I am disappointed but honestly I’m sharing because I also think it’s funny #it’s not too big a deal I got VC Crystal because Crystal is the best game imo #and the breed shiny rates in gen 2 are a huge 1/64 with a shiny parent #if you get a shiny ditto you’re pretty much set for most shinies in the first two gens #plus VC Crystal added the Celebii content into it and it’s not shiny locked so you can shiny hunt the onion fairy
