284,859, which looks kinda low, but I tend to write a lot of drabbles/double drabbles rather than full length epics.

Mostly Sanctuary, sometimes Stargate SG-1, and then random things that take my fancy.

Yes, even the ones that try to force me to their idea of canon. Listen, unless it is written down in black and white on the screen (or spoken aloud on screen) you can theorise all you want about dates and shit, it don't mean jack.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Uhm… Maybe All He Ever Wanted? I tend not to have angst all the way through. Oh! There’s Do What You Can, or Fed Is Best, or Two Weeks Later. Like, I always try to finish my angsty fics with a ray of light (even if that light is a train at the end of the tunnel).

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Words Don't Come Easily (Sanctuary, Teslen, M). It's just a big cuddle of indulgence, and super fluffy (and Helen and Nikola are both happy at the end).

8. Do you get hate on fic?

Only from people who don't like me having a different vibe to them regarding a character. ✌️

9. Do you write smut?

I have been known to, yes.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I have been known to, yes. 😂 Well, some are crossovers, some are just straight up fusions, and they're just as fun. XD

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

As far as I'm aware, nope. :)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Someone asked in the past, but I don't know if they ever did.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! Die Hard Isn't a Christmas Film with samsg1. She came to visit sorta this time last year, and whilst her kid played with mine, we semi planned a fic. She writes at a tremendous rate (and it sorta brought back some of my feels of being a teen when we’d do school work together and she’d fly, but I'd be floundering), but it was super collaborative. We even sorta swapped hats - I came out with angsty bits and she did some of the fluffier family feels. Very fun. (I wish I could write long fic like she does!)

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

It's a toss up between Teslen and Sam/Jack. :)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?

The Stargate SG-1/Sanctuary crossover where Sam and Helen swap places (natch). I made it so they swapped time periods too (S3/4 Sam with S3 Helen) and that was a complication too far. 😂🙈

16. What are your writing strengths?

A solid last line.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Characters being too open about their reasons of doing things.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

So long as it's Welsh, we’re good. I'll put it in, so people can see it, but only if it makes sense (I had two characters in Ocean’s Edge speak Welsh to each other because they're from an area where they would).

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Star Trek: Voyager? Yeah, probs Voyager. But I played make believe games using anything I watched as a basis. I was a time travelling police officer more than once (Crime Traveller - not the best TV show ever but it had Chloe Annette and I *loved* her). Saying that, samsg1 and I used to re-enact Oscar’s Orchestra on the playground the next day as like seven year olds, so there you go. 😂

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

This is like asking me to choose between my kids. Either Waves, Of Sequins and Scalpels, or Sleepwalking. Oh! Or Washing the Dishes. Oh oh! Or The Keys of Bhalasaam.

Hey Hope! Is it true you’re from Atlanta ? If so, do you have any restaurant recommendations in the city ? I’m going in September for a concert and I’m really bad finding places without recs 🙈

yes! ooooo i would definitely recommend any of these:

• Ruby Chow’s: Asian Fusion restaurant. Atmosphere is great and the food is delicious.

• Dancing Goats Coffee: Great little coffee place. They have a lot of nice, unique flavors. Fun fact! it’s the coffee shop Simon and his friends go to in Love Simon.

• The Vortex: Really delicious Americana food with creative drinks and menu options. The front of the restaurant is so cool, and it’s located in Little Five Points which is somewhere I’m sure you’d love to walk around. It’s one of the more artistic and eccentric areas of Atlanta. A lot of cool local shops and eateries and vintage stores etc.

• Little 5 Corner Tavern: If you like Little Five enough, come back for drinks and tapas at this pub! I would recommend getting rooftop seating because it’s a cute little setup with twinkling lights overlooking the area and a cozy environment.

• La Hacienda: Mexican food! My friend turned me onto this place awhile ago. Her and her friends go there all the time, and for good reason. It’s very laidback, fairly reasonably priced mexican cuisine. Their margaritas are delicious but dangerous so watch out lmao

• Beetlecat: If you like seafood, this is the place to go. it’s an upscale seafood/oyster bar but it isn’t too bad price-wise. Really love the atmosphere here at night. Definitely go for a late dinner.

• Bread + Butterfly: In the same area as Beetlecat! But, it’s a french-inspired cuisine. The breakfast + brunch options are what make this restaurant incredible imo. The staff are always super friendly and sociable too.

• Fellini’s Pizza: If you just want some greasy, cheesy, yummy pizza, this is the place to go. there’s tons of pizza places in atlanta but Fellini’s really just hits different. ESPECIALLY after a concert or a long day walking around/hanging out in the city.

• Grindhouse Killer Burgers: Speaking of greasy food, this is the best spot for a burger imo. It’s delicious, filling, and the prices are decent. They also have a ton of options to make your perfect burger (including vegetarian + vegan options!)

• My Parent’s Basement: Really sick comic book store/taproom. Good bar foods and a really cool atmosphere. There’s comics, pinball machines, records etc. all wedged inbetween a bar! It’s fun for a night out because they stay open pretty late.

• Chai Pani: Great indian street food. My friend brought me here for my birthday dinner one year. I haven’t gone back, but it was delicious from what I remember. They have great tapas, and the atmosphere is super cozy.

• Parkgrounds: Another solid coffee shop! The area is very laidback too. Try to eat/drink outside. it’s a dream

• Thumbs Up Diner: if you love diner food like i do, this is a 12/10!

Hiiii! I am so sorry it's taken me forever to do this. I've been crazy busy with work and I've had very little time to answer. I hope it all make sense. Most of the answers were typed out while half asleep, throughout the week, and I may have gotten some episodes/seasons mixed up. Sorry and enjoy?

1. How did you find out about the show?

It was 7/8 years ago.

I'm pretty sure it was a gifset on Tumblr. I already knew Betty by fame so I knew this show would be good. If I remember correctly it was a gifset of the scene where Rose asks "do we have any orange juice left?" And Dorothy says "no we're all out" while pouring herself a glass of juice, followed by a bunch of comments about the show.

2. One storyline you’d eliminate?

It's been a while since I watched the show so I don't remember everything. I can't think of anything besides empty nest right now.

Either that or the one about Blanche's daughter's artificial insemination. I didn't enjoy that one that much.

It's not exactly a storyline, but I'd eliminate the amount of unnecessary comments both Rose and Dorothy got in the later seasons, for being dumb or ugly. I think they went a little too far.

3. Best guest star/character?

I have a soft spot for Jean and her episode 💜

4. Character you most relate to?

Rose, 100%. I'm not the brightest, like her, and I love animals.

5. Favourite character?

Blanche and Rose

6. Favourite story of a cast member?

As in, behind the scenes? The joke they played on the girls, where the photo albums had the crew's crazy photos in them (it's a Christmas episode, when Blanche gives the others calendars).

In the show? 72 hours, for the message it delivered.

There wasn't a specific one. I hit play and never stopped watching!

8. You could wear one girl’s wardrobe for the rest of your life, who would you pick?

Uhm, honestly? Nobody's 🙈

I lost count. Around 10-12 among the four of them? Maybe???

10. Do you think the actresses would’ve gotten along with their characters if they met in real life? Why/Why not?

I don't know much about Estelle and Rue to say it for certain, but I'd say yes, purely based on vibes.

I'd say Nurse Jackie, but only the earlier seasons with O'Hara. I mostly have comfort movies, like the parent trap or the emperor's new groove.

If either of the girls is feeling down, the other two (minus Sophia) are probably ready to give her a cuddle and have an impromptu sleepover.

Season 2, between Rose's love interests and the song contest, is definitely a crazy one. Although S7 had some solid episodes as well (sick and tired and the one about the murder mystery dinner)

Season 2 has most of my favourite episodes.

19. If the girls hadn’t had their established careers, what other ones could you picture them doing?

Rose: something with animals

Blanche: iirc she's a pretty good dancer, so maybe that?

Dorothy: I'd say a literature professor or something in academia

Sophia: maybe a cook?

20. Best aspects of the show in your opinion?

The way it tackled certain topics that are a taboo still to this day, and they mostly did it with care. Sure, not every joke has aged well, but most of them did! And even if there was conflict, it got solved. I'm thinking about Sophia's thoughts about Phil, for example, or the way Sophia and Rose acted in the AIDS scare episode.

21. (This question is for my fellow cheesecake lovers) favourite cheesecake flavour?

Plain with chocolate chips, with caramel sauce, with strawberry or raspberry sauce.

22. Storyline you wished they had expanded upon?

I know I've brought her name up way too many times already, but I'd have loved to see Jean coming back to the show in later episodes/seasons

I really enjoyed Hot in Cleveland. I tried watching TMTMS but I wasn't feeling it. I watched 3/4 seasons of Maude and I enjoyed it but not my favourite.

I'm not a big fan of those, I can't honestly remember any specific ones off the top of my head.

30. Which girl would you be most interested in seeing a prequel of? And at which point in their life?

Honestly? Neither. We have seen something about their past in the show. I think a full prequel would take away the key elements of the show. And, you'd find out which of their crazy stories are true and which aren't, when I prefer to keep it a mystery, if that makes sense.

I’m getting a major work/home conflict with you, or this could be a partner’s issue too, but I’ll read it as you & apply however. In your home there is heavy stress, major conflict, possible mean things that have been said or petty back and forth behaviors to “prove a point” but like…no one cares about any points being made, because of the behavior, it’s not healthy mature communication, whatever has been said/done. And while these things do occur…probably regularly, no one addresses them. Everyone acts like this is fine, this is normal, this is how we do things - Temperance.

It could be you, or it could be someone else (particularly a child) that is about to blow the roof off of this dynamic, because 9 Swords, heavy stress and anxiety, mental anguish, the walking on eggshells game has gotten old and they/you can’t deal with this crap anymore. You’ve been silent, patient, kind, and maneuvering around conflict and possible stonewalling?? long enough. I’m not sure if the silence is awkward or if it’s enforced in some way, like people don’t want to “deal with you”. Or again, could be a kid/spouse/etc. that you don’t want to deal with. Or don’t have/make the time.

Work specifically or something you (I assume) spend a lot of time on IS the 3 Swords in this connection, from what I can see, it’s created a situation where people are not committed the way they should be, there is no solid relationship dynamic (routine?) and everyone just kinda does whatever, while avoiding each other and avoiding the problems. None of these cards show to end it, to leave, something is done, it’s toxic, no. They all say “you have to do something”. It’s possible one person in a family unit is losing their MIND and everyone else is “lalala” has no idea, everyone lives on autopilot, Sunday turns into Friday and it continues on forever. It’s like a whole family rut. You could be the one going bananas 🍌 here. But you don’t speak up, you’re stubborn 💯 and you allow something to continue hurting you because you’re waiting for other people to address things they may honestly be clueless about.

If this is a child, you have to listen to them, even if they’re being inconvenient at the moment, with this reading I’m getting there is no “good time”, you have to “make time”. 5 Swords is a painful argument that’s not been approached whatsoever, someone is going to blow the roof off this shtick, and when they do, I’m getting they’re absolutely right 💯 Maybe that’s you, there is a LOT of advice here about you needing to express yourself more, whether it’s journaling, dancing, enjoying yourself, talking with your family, talking their ear off in some cases even, feeling more bonded and connected as a unit…not just a bunch of single adults in a house living life. Especially with kids, I’m getting they just want some time if they’re involved with this at all. Everyone gets stuck in autopilot mode sometimes, this reading is just like “let me help you out of robot mode”, so everyone is having a more authentic and heart-centered experience, together ❤️

If you had to watch one drama forever what would it be?

Be loved in house: I do. Don’t know what it is exactly that I like that much about this series, but I love it, especially the main couple (I just ignore that there is a second couple). I could watch Jin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei fall in love with each other in an endless loop.

2. If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?

I could say The Miracle of Teddy Bear. I saw so many rant-posts about the ending and I am sitting here and thinking about the pure beauty of it. Everything is about context. But back to the question 😊

3. Name your favorite drama and tell who your favorite character was.

Hm. I have a few favourite dramas, it always depends on my mood and the genre, but for this I choose Old Fashion Cupcake and even though I can relate to Nozue very much, my favourite character is Togawa. He is pure sunshine and brave and just lovable.

4. Name a drama you dropped within the first few episodes ~ we all have at least one!

I haven’t dropped a drama, yet. I always try to watch them, even though I hate every minute. I just sit here and rant about it. I wish I could just drop shit, then I could say: Check Out, no thank you!

5. Name a popular drama you've never watched and why?

There are still so many I haven’t watched! How could I name just one? I choose: SOTUS S or Gameboys. Can’t say why I haven’t watched them yet. I wasn’t in the right mood for them I guess.

That’s my candy…watching this gave me a headache. I really disliked it. So much, but I watched it!

7. Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up liking it?

Light on me. I watched the first minutes, put it on hold, wasn’t feeling it at this time, came back and watched from the beginning. Loved it! One of my favourite series. Namgoong Shiwoon and Noh Shin Woo will always have a place in my heart.

Tankhun, Arm and Pol (KinnPorsche) in a polyamorous relationship. They deserved to be happy in love too!
