“You’re Losing Me” by Taylor Swift (From The Vault) Bridge…
How long could we be a sad song
‘Til we were too far gone to bring back life?
I gave you all of my best me’s, my endless empathy
And all I did was bleed as I tried to be the bravest soldier
Fighting in only your arms, frontlines, don’t you ignore me
I’m the best thing at the party (You’re losing me)
I wouldn’t marry me either, a pathological people pleaser, who only wanted you to see her
And I'm fading, thinking'
"Do something, babe, say something"
"Lose something, babe, risk something"
"Choose something, babe, I got nothing"
"To believe, unless you're choosing me"
But as fictional characters…
That’s all. Thank you. (I could do this with all songs Taylor’s ever written all day, and I could probably write pages of character analysis with these songs and my favorite fictional characters and still not have said all I need to say)

the men and boys are innocent too.
we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.
I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.
I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.
I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.
I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.
the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.
to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:
kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him

soooo much of the modern conception of gender is based around products and consumerism that people can’t even identify actual misogyny anymore. People reply to posts “It’s sexist to hate on something so many women enjoy” and that something would be a Stanley cup

I know this will be controversial and massively unpopular, but I don’t want Benedict’s season to be next on Bridgerton. I fear that if it is, Luke Thompson might not be on the show anymore or his appearances could be drastically reduced. I really don’t want that.
One of the reasons I love Bridgerton is how it expands beyond the books, especially with its rich family dynamics. If characters like Daphne or even Anthony, who’s the head of the family and pivotal in running the estate, slowly disappear, it could diminish the essence of the Bridgerton family that makes the show so captivating. The show’s charm lies in these expanded narratives, and I only hope it continues to balance them well.
