The misunderstanding of how Sophie "didn't realize her feelings for Keefe" in this fandom is wild tbh.

It's not that she had no choice in what she was feeling. It's that she had a crush on Fitz basically from the beginning--one based mostly on looks at first--that slowly developed into more as their relationship became closer. But Sophie had already acknowledged that she had a crush on him from basically the day they met.

That wasn't her first thought when she met Keefe. She noticed he was attractive, sure, but she was used to the suspicious way everyone looked like the epitome of human beauty standards by now. So she didn't view all of her interactions with Keefe through the same lens through which she viewed her interactions with Fitz.

She developed very close relationships with both boys, even just as friends. It's clear from Sophie's actions and behavior around Keefe that she cares about him, is comfortable with him, and their relationship truly is stronger than a lot of her other friendships. Even just as a friendship.

She also devloped a very close friendship with Fitz. It's clear that they trust each other a lot, especially in the earlier books, and their cognate bond only strengthened that. There was clearly something special about their friendship as well. But Sophie saw all of the moments through the lens of her crush.

Love is a choice, but feelings can creep up on you. They really can. If they couldn't, maybe I'd be able to stop having a stupid crush on one of my gay best friends, cause that's seriously going nowhere. Sophie developed feelings for Keefe slowly, while she also had feelings for Fitz. That's part of what was so complicated.

So in Lodestar, when Keefe grabs her hand and feels her "heart emotions," it's not that he's feeling her real emotions, and her head is all filled with Fitz but all of that is just superficial emotions. What's really happening is that he's feeling from her the emotions she has yet to name. When Sophie enhances him, Keefe doesn't need Sophie to acknowledge to herself what the feelings are in order for him to know them.

Are you guys all seriously telling me you've never had a crush on someone that you told yourself wasn't a crush very convincingly for a long time, only to eventually realize that it was definitely a crush for a lot of that tme? Because... that's a normal thing that happens sometimes.

It's not that Fitz was in her head and Keefe was in her heart. Both of them were probably in her heart, because she'd developed close relationships with both of them and began to have romantic feelings for them both. But she hadn't thought about her feelings for Keefe, whereas she spent a lot of time thinking about her feelings for Fitz. That's why Keefe could only tell her feelings for him when he could feel her heart emotions.

She also just... began to lose some of her feelings for Fitz around Legacy, and her feelings for Keefe definitely grew. It doesn't mean her feelings for Fitz were never real, but I can't say I'm surprised that a fifteen-year-old girl ended up changing her mind about what she wanted.

Anyway, I'm not saying it's a plot line you have to like, but I think a lot of people, including a lot of sokeefe shippers, think that the idea was "Fitz was in Sophie's head (she THOUGHT she liked him) but Keefe was in her heart (she ACTUALLY liked him and didn't even realize it!)" and that's just. Not even what happened. That's not the point of the whole head/heart emotions thing at all.

i honestly have no idea where this crossover came from but here we are

so, i think i’ll start with the stuff i actually like, kind of anyway

it’s not hard to imagine them in the same universe with them both being superheroes and all, not the most out there crossover that makes no sense.

also it definitely falls under the grumpy x sunshine which i do like, there’s a lot of soulmate au’s for this ship and if yk me yk those are my weakness (if done right).

this pairing has the least amount of explicit content in it than almost any other i’ve seen (thank goodness for younger me) so if i wanna read a long fic and i’m not in the mood for any of that i just look for these specific fics

sometimes it’s fun to see marinettes class get put in their place other times it’s weird and out of place, really depends on the author and how long the story is and where they wanted it to go.

now onto the things i don’t really enjoy

i swear everyone who writes a maribat fic is a miraculous fan first and the only dc content they’ve consumed is other maribat fanfic cause there’s no way

most of the time damian’s personality is that of his 10 year old self like ik that man’s personality changed over the last 8 years, usually in daminette fics they’re around 18

also, why are all of the family members at WE like sure maybe she’ll see tim or bruce but why is dick there? i’ve even seen jason? like no, i’m sorry that would not happen.

honestly most of my problems have to do with it not being realistic for batman but also, marinette would not be in the same class as any of her friends in high school, she probably won’t even go to the same school as them

i’m just gonna say damian would not fall in love that fast, it doesn’t matter who it is it ain’t happening, also just an overall focus on mari and barely any on damian

Why are all of my fanfic characters a doctor’s worst nightmare

(Warning: There are so many characters that my fingers are blistering writing about them all):

Chainsaw Man:

Zen: Ovaries, spleen, appendix, gallbladder, 1 lung, 1 kidney and 3 ribs all missing from her body. Has a devil contract where the devil is basically a tapeworm.

Miwa: Leg below the knee missing, refuses to wear a normal prosthetic and instead only wears a running blade.

My Hero Academia:

Kosa: Autistic, dissociative identity disorder (I did my research on both), you can see his molars because of his lack of cheek skin (not genetic, that was a fun one to search), gay for the same man his whole life but still has a biological daughter (not m-preg that’s kinda weird).

Fukawa: Unspecified mood regulatory disorder (the doctors know there’s something going on up there, they just don’t know what it specifically is), falls in love at the snap of a finger.

Jin: Has been bitten by snakes so many times that he’s immune to most simple venoms, would give up his hospital bed at the sight of a sick woman.

Goh: Disguises as a woman most of the time - surprisingly convincing -, cataracts, reflexes of a higher power.

Hoshi: Can become allergic to any plant if she grows it with her quirk too often, allergic to peanuts anyway.

Izumi: Gambling addiction - quirk is literally a blood roulette -, drinks her own blood, DNA changes so often it’s nearly impossible to trace her (result of her quirk).

Rei: Raging alcoholic, has so many children he can’t count on one hand - hasn’t met most of them either.

Ino: Is one of the most normal people in a family of heroes and villains.

Mei: Has stretch marks from when she was 2 - result of quirk -, elastic skin - hard to cut, also result of quirk-.

Enki: Has a fire quirk but external sources can set him on fire, SWEATS MAGNESIUM.

Yayoi: Could learn 10 years of training in two minutes - quirk -, doesn’t realise how dangerous things can be.

Fuji: Is the most normal.

Jomei: Produces glue from glands on her body, wears the most unsupportive shoes ever conceived (they’re just the walls of the shoes, there’s no sole).

Kogen: Psychopath, can dislocate his joints at will and keeps total control over them.

And that’s just ONE FAMILY!

Future students:

Obake: So many artificial quirks you could probably supply the whole quirkless population with them, literally immortal, can be shut down by a specific hue of green.

Takara: Stuck in a basement for six years - only ate on wednesdays and sundays - underweight, vitamin D deficiency.

Aruhi: Could carbonate somebody else’s blood.

(Would write them all but I don’t have that level of patience)

Demon Slayer:

Kanpekizu / Mara: “Dead”, would refuse medical treatment if it affected her beauty.

Irinoto: Feeble/sickly, such versatile vocal chords she can imitate most sounds she hears to pin point accuracy, marechi blood.

Mikata: Raised by demons for the first 8 years of her life, is a demon slayer despite being 9 years old, ginger.

Atazuko: Can barely tell the difference between life and dream - uses dream breathing -, can imitate sounds he hears, ginger.
