As many are pointing out, this is actually dystopian as hell. In Sweden we just have a municipal service that goes home to (mostly) elderly people and helps them clean and shop and such. If they need even more help our version of “nursing homes” is not considered a failure of your children but rather a nice place to spend your last years.

Many Swedish people work in eldercare at some point in their lives, even if they end up doing something else for a career. My first real job was working at a dementia home over the summer. Back in her day mom did home care in the countryside driving grandpa’s old Volvo. It’s a rite of passage that builds community.

Sure! I can list off a few!

Kyle:

Is mildly allergic to grass. Not bad enough to have a big reaction, but he gets a little congested in the summer when someone has just mowed their lawn, and his skin gets more irritated than most if he sits in grass for too long.

Spends way too much time on Reddit white knighting and explaining in excruciating, condescending detail why, in fact, OP is in the wrong. You will see 69ingchipmunks as an active participant on r/AmITheAsshole and r/AmITheDevil.

Has absolutely punched a hole in a wall at some point in his life. It’s a rite of passage that every Kyle must go through, I don’t make the rules.

Stan:

Is one of those kids that just fucking hates bathing, for a long time. He never gets so bad that he totally reeks, but he’s always a little bit greasy.

Gets annoyed when people point out or make fun of his ‘butt chin’.

For sure keeps his socks on during sex. They’re those white, tube socks with the black line at the top, by the way. And every pair has at least one hole somewhere on them.

Kenny:

Still listens to music on a shitty iPod nano that one of the other boys gave to him after they got their first smartphones, even after he has his own (busted) smartphone, too.

Wears his Mysterion suit under his regular clothes regularly and for YEARS. You know, just in case.

Gets really wasted at a party in college and wakes up with a piercing in his dick. (This actually happened to a guy I knew yes it’s as funny as it sounds).

Cartman:

I’ve mentioned this before, but as a kid he definitely smells like cheese. Like, processed fake cheese. Cheez-Wiz cheese.

Also spends too much time on Reddit, but he’s on there making a million throw away accounts to post outlandish shit just to get a reaction. He finds it incredibly hilarious when Kyle comments on his shit posts. (Sometimes he is asking for genuine advice/validation, but he’d never admit that).

Clyde Frog stays on the bed during sex.

Butters:

Definitely wets the bed well into middle school. His bed stays strapped with the waterproof lining.

Fucking LOVES VeggiTales. Watched it all the time when he was little and will still put it on when he’s older as a nostalgic comfort show.

Gets really wasted, entirely on accident, at the same party as Kenny and wakes up with a single nipple piercing. Kenny’s the one who pierced him. He never takes it out.

The first time a starblood’s less than human form traits appear it’s usually very hard for the starblood to hide it, unless ofc they’re an older starblood. But for someone at Lydia’s age? Yeah 😬 you might wanna call her parents at that point/

Hmm I don’t think starbloods do the same rite of passages as stars do. They’re too human for that tbh and Ceph would be beyond furious if she did that trial (most regular stars can’t come out of that one unscathed so you can only imagine what would happen to someone who’s half star.

Ceph’s family absence will be explained and the customs would be something along the lines of meeting the baby, giving gifts and showing the starblood their true form.

But yeah Ceph does strike me as girl dad- and he’d even learn how to do Lydia’s hair (if she’s his) to give Nada a break. When she’s older he does both the thing you say and well…sometimes he throws her up into the air too- (I can kinda see both Nada/Ceph as being good parents to a boy- at least when we’re talking about their characters by the end of the story!))

it was mostly both of them avoiding ppl at various parties in the same place.. oswald would stand in a dark corner and gen would back into that same corner later and accidentally bump into him. then she’d frantically chatter to fill the silence while oswald jst blinked at her like a cat. true love, i think.

also oswald learned that gen liked to garden and he’d take to going out to “keep her company” <- code for napping nearby. he rlly is like a cat… oswald flirting is Existing In The Same General Area Peacefully While Gen Does Her Own Thing. romanse.!

7. How do their friends and family feel about them as a couple?

i think lacie would appreciate genevieve… not that they have a lot of one on one time, but she thinks gen is good for her brother & that gen’s a sweet person. but she’s fine w also not getting too close, esp when she knows she’s going to die 😜 she spends a lot of time trying to set them up so that oswald will have gen after he sends her to the abyss.. does not work, but thank you for trying!!!

lottie is the maid of honor at their wedding, i think!!! (genevieve and oswald don’t actually get married before the whole, like, murdering thing, but it’s ok!!!), and as a result, fang, lily, & dug are also cheering on genwald. no.1 genwald fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they also like that genevieve is bringing oswald out of his shell :))

alice likes genevieve bc she’s pretty and nice and she always sneaks her candies!!! alyss doesn’t rlly like her, but to be fair, she doesn’t like most ppl that aren’t jack or cheshire. she’ll endure her if alice asks her to, though 🙄

chatty gf x dutifully listening bf………… oswald is happy to let genevieve tell him anything, mostly bc he finds her to be very engaging in a way where he doesn’t feel the need to expend energy. she likes that abt him as well—where she doesn’t feel like she needs to hide her actual thoughts, since he jst seems to accept everything she says. they’re also good for each other bc oswald is a very calm, unruffled person, and gen needs that energy to calm down her anxiety/flighty nature.

they clash in the sense that oswald will not communicate anything to gen at all… she doesn’t get him w/o him telling her anything, so it leaves her feeling scared and uncertain abt things.. and then genevieve willl clam up and stop telling him things out of that fear, which pushes him away, since a huge part of their relationship is him feeling at peace whenever she talks to him. it’s the only time he feels connected to someone :((

see you tomorrow - evgeny grinko, bc that’s their little flirting dance… you’ll come tomorrow again, right? to nap in a patch of sunlight while i weed the garden? while i draw? while i lay down next to you and look at the clouds? it’s a delicate sort of desire for more, where they’re both scared to let it go further, and even more scared to let it go..

streaks - anima!, jst bc that’s how gen feels wrt how she’s been thrown into the world, expected to understand it + get a husband. she’s been forced to study how society works, all while being told she’ll understand when she gets older.. except now she’s older and she doesn’t get it at all!!!!!!!!!!!! oswald is patiently sitting there, nodding as she rants abt this, wondering why he hates the idea of her finding a husband bc it’s expected of her 🤔

elephant - bôa, mostly bc i feel like gen’s got this feeling of needing to get out, find something beautiful and new, to be free, where no one knows her, and that she’d always be quick to tell oswald that he should come and follow her.. she knows he needs to escape too, but she can’t quite convince him. no matter. she’ll run off alone, if need be.. but she’d be so much less afraid w oswald coming with her :(

seeing fluffy clouds in a white sky, flowers, the smell of rose water, neat bugs, books, and a messy notebook always makes oswald think of genevieve.

birds, blankets, cherry tomatoes (funnily enough, since he hates them), the woods, swords, and prim and proper behavior makes gen think of oswald!!!

ah yes the secret boss that shall not be named because if i name the boss then that's giving away the game, isn't it?

the secret boss is the Act 6 bossfight!! unlocking it is Very Obscure though. but if i tell you that'll also give away who it is, huh. Quick tutorial for you below!

This encounter is in Act 6, but the condition to unlock it can be done in Act 4 at the latest.

So, what you need to do, somewhen from Act 3 to 4 (people say it can be done in Act 2, but i doubt it, tbh), you use the Silver Coin souvenir. And you spam the shit out of it until the screen goes black and Siffrin goes on a monologue about their dramatic croissant backstory.

Once you've done that, you go to Dormont, to the Favor Tree, and then you use the Silver Coin in front of the Favor Tree. Loop and Siffrin will yell at each other. You know you got it since it ends on (You feel you understand Loop a lot better).

That's all you need to unlock it. Skipping forward to Act 6, leave the final room (yes, you can leave the final room) and go to Dormont. After you've explored Dormont, the party will hold a picnic and mention that they wished they could all thank Loop. Now, you can head down and out of the area, which will immediately take you to the Favor Tree. Loop won't be there, so look around. You'll find something on the ground. Use it. The rest should be obvious from there.

Okay, this boss fight is obviously against Loop. But just knowing it's against Loop won't prepare you for. The Feels. The Lore. The Drama. It lives in my HEAD i am diseased. One quote in particular I can't even say cuz it gives up the utterly BRILLIANT and insanely well foreshadowed twist.

If you don't want to do all this yourself (don't have a savefile, don't want to replay act 5, whatever), then it's also up on youtube, and the save manipulation thread in the finish-line channel on isatcord has an act6 savefile right in front of the boss. only helps you if you use steam, though.

personally, i replayed the entire game to get this, and didn't regret it one bit, cuz there's other stuff i also missed and wanted to get. I missed sus run the first time and it's such a good scene also, or the whole Dagger discussion.

Leo is about as turtle as a turtle can get, being one of the most common species, so he can go into his shell just fine! Of the four of them, he’s one of the two that can go brotherball mode, if with a little more risk of bumps and bruises as his shell can’t fully close.

And, of course, it is a rite of passage as a younger sibling to be thrown bodily into a pool of water at some point. Splashing everyone else in radius is just a bonus lol
