revamp ideas of another old oc, this is xeneal, he lives in shawns universe. he used to be named shay and was a space bounty hunter, the first thing obviously got changed for his redesign but as for the second thing im kinda entertained by the concept so it might stay. it was not a huge part of his character tho i literally only remembered accidentally finding a note abt him in an old character document from 10 years ago lol
his species r typically pretty stocky & bulky. they weigh a lot so their long fur is very plush and light. i had harbor seals in mind when i was doing his palette and body markings so i leaned into it more for the face idea for the 2nd pic. still gonna be playing around with it

Fill for G1 - Black Cloaked Envoy on my Guardian Bingo Card!
The base pattern is taken from this daxiushan (大袖衫) pattern. To make this daxiushan (Heipaoshi's Version), I shortened the sleeves a bit, added extra length to the body, added a hood, and added the weird gauzy bits on the back. I also added some cording on the shoulders and the sides of the hood, following the design from the show as closely as I could. You'll also notice a couple decorative bands of black ribbon on the chest and at the waist, as well as a square of skightly different black fabric on the back — these are also embellishments added to follow the model in the drama.
Fabric: raw silk noil, cotton lining in the hood, a silk habotai square, silk gauze, silk ribbons, cotton cording. Entirely handsewn using waxed black linen thread.

2023 birthday outfits!
according to some tweets, in the world these outfits are form, sirius escaped the mansion and noel is trapped inside a mansion himself with no knowledge about the outside world- which is mentioned to be parody, but i thought it was a really interesting idea if taken seriously
(kind of an extension of his existing story as well- he couldn't leave the house as a child except when he would presumably sneak outside to see claire and sirius- and once that was done he was stuck in hell for 12 years, and then got stuck in a timeloop, so his exposure to the outside world is probably extremely minimal)
btw- the flowers are hydrangeas & camellias, and their flower language is pretty cool and incredibly fitting for their respective characters--but i'll let you figure that out yourself.
i know that hydrangeas don't grow like that, but i was lazy that was how it was drawn in sirius's piece, so i just copied that
i fucked around with lighting on this one and it was fun

Blorbo pattern is below the read more! Based on this post by @thewiglesswonder
Sew the darts on the two Blorbo body pieces
Sew the two Blorbo body pieces to each other, right sides together (sew the curved edge, and leave the straight line at the bottom unsewn)
Sew the Blorbo body base to the bottom of the Blorbo body pieces (pin it well, with the front roughly in line with the dart on the front half of the body; this does not have to be precise, Blorbo can be a little irregularly shaped, it’s fine). Leave an opening for turning of a few inches left unsewn, turn the body right side out
Put two leg pieces right sides together and sew the side seams (leave the top, where it attaches to the body, and the bottom, where it will attach to the foot, unsewn). Repeat with the second leg.
Pin a foot piece to the bottom of a leg, with the front of the foot roughly lined up with the seam at the front of the foot. Sew around (this can be a little tricky, it might be easier to hand sew than to machine sew this part). Repeat with second leg and foot. Turn legs right side out through the opening at the top of the leg
Finishing:
Embroider the face, either before step 2 or after step 3
Stuff the body at any point after step 3, after embroidering the face
Sew the opening for turning in the body closed
Stuff the legs after step 5. Tuck the seam allowance at the top inside the leg; I ended up tucking about ½” of fabric in instead of ¼” to make the leg a bit shorter, but if you are using an extra fluffy fabric you might want it closer to the ¼”
Pin the legs in place on the front of Blorbo and ladder stitch around the base of the leg
You’re done!!! Enjoy your new blorbo, and if you post it on tumblr I’d love to be tagged @tj-crochets (that’s not a requirement for using the pattern, you do not have to do it, I just love seeing things people make from patterns I wrote)

I think I used to write fanfics in a more eloquent way, using a bigger and more complex vocabulary, but the thing is... I started to put emphasis on how the characters think about and experience things and I just realised that most of the time, they wouldn't really use the words I picked for them.
I mean, I can wax poetic all I want, but the 20yo dude I'm writing about wouldn't always think that the sunlight hitting his crush's hair is ethereal or exquisite or magnificent or like the liquid honey dripping over the edge of the jar at the summer harvest... mostly, he'd just think it looked pretty.
So I guess what I'm saying is that I started to apply the 'he wouldn't fucking say that' onto the narrative parts more often and if it's good or bad, I don't know, but it makes the process feel a little more authentic for me, personally.
