butch bulge in the sense of something to hold on to when you suck on my clit, in the sense of a little padding when you spank my pussy so you can go hard, in the sense of lean into me hard, bending me in half to get as deep as you can

So kurapika obviously found out about what happened to Gon and even asked Leorio if he could still provide help. But why do you think he never called Gon to at least check in and maybe say sorry for not visiting you or checking in sooner? As much as I want to see Killua and Gon’s reunion, I really want to see kurapika and Gon interact again too honestly
Heyo!!
Ahh, I completely agree with you, Kurapika and Gon definitly need to have a conversation and interreact again. I really think we need to see that.
I think the problem is that….. Togashi had been trying to put as much plot as possible into his chapters and had neglected some character focus a bit.
It’s horrible to say, and I don’t like saying it, I really hope i’m wrong, but the thing is that, everytime he comes out of hiatus and drops a series of chapters, especially with the DC arc that needs a large amount of exposition, he puts all he can in plot development. The only two times we had a break from plot, was when we saw Gon on Whale Island (which was mostly a closure and reminder that Gon is okay, at least for now) and maybe the explainations on Kurapika’s powers (but that’s because it will have weight on the story itself and it feels more like exposition to me).
Character centric moments had been reduced to really short scenes, usually something that can get out in a few panels. And if Gon and Kurapika would have a conversation, it would take time to develop, which is something Togashi maybe feel he can’t afford as he had to get the arc starting and moving as fast as possible while taking in consideration how long there are between chapters.
hxh has a particular problem: it comes out of hiatus, drop 10 chapters of 20 pages in 10 weeks (2/3 months), and then going back in hiatus for an indetermined time. The thing would therefore be a choice between developping the plot or allowing character centric moments that will slow down the plot. And in hiatus filled stories, it’s often badly seen to have a chapter of a series you see rarely, barely advance the plot and develop character indeed (*cue to bitter laughs of a d/gm fan who will never read mangastream’s comments ever again for that very reason*)
I mean, that’s why everyone had been saying the DC arc is a whole of “wall of texts”. It’s a lot of exposition, that wasn’t in the previous arcs. Because Togashi wants to get to the heart of the subject, and keeps only the stuff that will be extremely important to the plot.
I personally think the problem really comes more from the parution than from a plot point.
If we try to justify it on a narrative point of view, I think it would be because things had been kinda fast and all all around. Kurapika had a lot of responsabilities to deal with since he joined the Zodiac. We know he talked with Killua, but even that is mentioned in a flashback - and we actually don’t know how much time Kurapika actually dedicated to more personal matters, aside from that.
A conversation between Gon and Kurapika might be heavy at this point in time. They both bear the burden of revenge and unfullifiment out of it, and I think that, if Kurapika heard of the details, he would feel guilty for even telling to Gon about the Nen’s condition thing Gon used as Gon-san. As a result, it would push Kurapika to isolate himself rather than facing what happened, out of guilt.
Meanwhile, Gon wouldn’t know how to face people about it. He had barely talked about it to anyone aside from Ging and Kite, that we know, even Leorio he barely told him anything - and I think it’s been so long since they last talked, and Gon actually mentions in the begining of the YN arc that he barely uses a phone to start with (Killua was the one still in contact with Leorio and Kurapika at the begining of the YN arc, not Gon, it’s actually specified in the manga). That’s where I kinda take my reading of Gon just “going with the flow” when it comes to his friendship. He doesn’t feel the kind to actively reach out, especially in a situation in which he still feels responsbile and guilty about what happened, and probably isolate himself even more.
The thing is that, of all thing, we know Gon and Kurapika care about each other, but things are just… complicated, especially with how Kurapika closed himself in, and even if Kurapika opened himself a little in the DC arc, it’s only in order to get to his goal, and he’s avoiding any detours. I think it’s not something he’s considering, after how much time he spent isolating.
Huh i end up rambling everywhere, but honestly, I think to start with it’s a problem with the parution of the manga. But if we want to justify it in-verse, it could be just Kurapika’s unhealthy habit of closing himself in that got the best out of him, and even if he knows Gon is alright, he doesn’t want to push it if he can avoid it.
But at the same time, we do know he had an offscreen conversation with Killua, and that the manga had been neglecting Character Centric Moments, so it’s hard to really say if it’s really what happened.
so ye… Really hard to talk about actually ;;-;;
I hope one day we’ll see them talk more though…..
Take care!
