Gotta love when folks write Superman incredibly anti-clone even though he had good reason in the beginning to Not Like Superboy (HES A WINDOW INTO WHAT CLARK WOULD HAVE BEEN WITHOUT THE KENTS) and decide that forever on he’ll be spiteful towards clones even though he literally Does Not Care if you’re a clone unless you’re Superboy.

So many Astarion fans will just... straight up lie or refuse to contextualize Wyll's interactions with Astarion in order to demonize him.

Say what you want about Wyll being arrogant or corny but Astarion is canonically evil (In DnD, alignments aren't a matter of opinion. Whether or not this is a good mechanic is not the point of this post so don't even bother). We don't get to see much companion/companion interaction outside of short barks, but we as players can infer that Wyll knows what type of person Astarion is.

Every time Astarion approves of the player character making a heinous decision or disapproves of a moral one, you're supposed to assume that Wyll and the other companions are right there observing. He has ample reason not to trust or like this guy, but Astaristans frame Wyll as petty and vindictive. They give so much grace to the 200+ year old vampire who can't muster up a modicum of sympathy for slaves that aren't himself, but can't give any of that to the ~24 year old monster hunter who has dedicated his life to helping those in need.

I'm not the one to usually assume someone is racist based on the sole reason of hating a black character, but the way they insist Wyll is secretly a bad person because he dislikes Astarion has me side-eyeing them so hard. It's hard not to feel this way as a black person, especially with how often black characters are held to much higher standards than white characters within fandoms.

Keep in mind, I love Astarion. He is probably one of my favorite companions in any RPG I have played, but I'm not going to pretend the way fellow fans of his talk about Wyll doesn't bother me.

Word of advice to all you taking on the Magikrab Gauntlet.

Take a New Leaf sticker in with you. Preferably on something that can use Broadcast or Echolocation. Because you can use it to cleanse the permanent debuffs or buffs on yourself or enemies. Yes, even the Archangels.

Decibelle is the easiest choice since you can get both on the same monster but I haven’t done much digging to see if there is a better option.

Also also, have fun with car 100. It’s hilarious.

Queer Book Recommendations!!

I haven't really read a book book in years. Due to money problems and a lack of free time, audiobooks and AO3 were a MUCH cheaper option for me. But now that I'm struggling to fully read text posts on Tumblr I realize my attention span is shot. Reading novels is helping me tune out and focus in again. So I'm turning to queer novels written by my 'queer elders'.

For anyone who is struggling to get back into long form content after reading Fic for years, I highly recommend the books of TJ KLUNE (summaries of what I've read under the break).

If you are a fan of the 'escaping a shitty life and being welcomed into a found family' fanworks, this is the writer for you! All his stories center on home and feeling welcomed and loved. Of middle age and finding out who you are. Of finding love for others and yourself. He makes you hunger for that type of romantic and platonic love where people just know the real you. His stories also float by so quickly, there are so many things he does that I want to emulate his writing into my work.

Someone on Tumblr described the romances as: “what if a real life disney prince fell in love with the human equivalent of a wet paper bag?” and I agree 100%. All his protagonists are just like that, and I love them all.

(Also, this man definitely had an office job he hated, and writes office work culture as a death sentence in every one of his novels and I love it).

If you have any queer novels you love, don't be afraid to leave me a recommendation! (Especially WLW that isn't 'One Last Stop')

If you're willing to give it, I'd love to hear your assesment of just how much psychic damage would a TFP Tarn take in a Souls=Sparks Soulmate/Sparkmate AU under a given set of circumstances. Cause virgin zelot Tarn would be having trauma feelings about the matter under good circumstances and i kinda want to put him in a situation.

So Sparkmates hear their Sparkmate when their Other half makes music. Tarn was shocked to hear when he was humming the empyrian suite to snuff a traitor's spark a soft crooning chirp badly echoing it back to him. And it kept hapening. Eventualy joined by terrible but steadily improving atempts to play some sort of stringed instrument. He has a Sparkmate! Aparently some sort of musicaly inclined newspark perhaps one of the lost colonies has a functioning hot spot? Tarn eventualy made a game as they were nearing their predictable recharge cycle to sing and improvise the Deceticon Battle Anthem with them. Just so their cargivers knew there was a correct side and his mate is brought up properly.

One day there is a single staccato burst of vitriolic trills then absolute silence. No response to anything music he makes. Since Lord Megatron ordered him to some planet called Earth for the final conflict with the Autobots he can't even search for the newspark. It's a race to beat Prime's reinforcements to the planet.

Tarn is in a poor mood when there's no room for The Peaceful Tyranny to dock on the Nemisis. The invasion of this mudball has thrown the Six Phases out the air lock. Aparently someone's ship made an emergency landing in a major city. During a planatary wide broadcast. During which they proceded to trash said city live, blaring the Deceticon Battle Anthem. Worse Megatron ordered the 'cons using the organic's language. The data download still feels wrong on his glossa. To top the bad day off, Lord Megatron wants the Autobots' personal pet squishies brought to him alive. So he has to look out for ten or so specific squishies. Several of which have been inducted into the Wreckers. Including a juvenile menace who managed to steal the Apex Armor to lethal effect.

The prospect of taking an Autobot base raises Tarn's batterd spirits just a bit. Right up untill one of the pets he's been ordered to live capture starts blaring music and explosions start going off. Of course it's a fragging trap. When the lyrics start a familiar, now intelligible, voice rusty with disuse begins to sing along bitterly inside his helm.
