"Older"
ok yall! i couldn't stop thinking of neglected Reader falling for Clark Kent, so instead of writing a new chapter of "I bet on losing dogs" I wrote an AU!!! Batfam's neglect stays till reader is 18, Tiffany isn't exposed till later. I got kinda carried away tbh! Remember, THIS IS AN AU!!!! Ya'll aren't ready for this plot actually. Or who really steals readers heart. Thank you to the wonderful anon who sent me down the rabit hole of this man. Reader is 18 when the romance actually starts.
When you were younger, you had always idolized Superman. Clark Kent, the unassuming, nerdy reporter with glasses, was a far cry from the intimidating presence he became when he donned the cape. You first saw him when you were 9, during a charity event your father had taken you to. At first, you thought he was just another well-dressed man who smiled too much. But then, when he lifted a car to save someone from an accident, you felt something shift in your chest.
That’s it, you thought. That’s what I want. I want him.
From that day on, you couldn’t stop thinking about him. The way he saved people with a smile, how gentle his voice was. You’d daydream about being near him, holding his hand, his deep blue eyes looking down at you with affection. But Clark never saw you that way. To him, you were always just Bruce Wayne’s little girl—the kid he barely knew.
Maybe it was a result of being neglected by every man in your life that made you so feral for Clark Kent. Maybe it was the fact that he was the only person you knew who didn't prefer Tiffany to you. Whatever it was, it didn't matter, he'd never feel the same.
So, you pushed your feelings aside.
Or at least you tried to.
You’d flirted with boys before. You’d flirted with grown men. With your powers, you needed an outlet, a way to let go of your frustrations, to feel good. You lost your virginity only days after gaining your powers. It felt amazing, during those moments you were in control of your body, the pain went away, the neglect went away and you were loved.
But nothing had ever been like the times you found yourself in Clark’s presence. At 16, you’d started testing the waters, teasing him with subtle remarks. You’d gotten a little bolder in your attempts over the years, but he always brushed them off as playful jokes.
"Don’t you think you’re a little young for me, kiddo?" he’d chuckle every time you got close.
You hated that. He saw you as a kid. That was it.
But you didn’t stop. Because you were determined.
And by the time you turned 18, the world around you had shifted. You had grown into someone new, more mature, more confident. Your body had changed. Your personality had changed. But Clark... he still looked at you like you were that little girl from all those years ago.
It hurt. But you told yourself, Just be patient. It’ll come around. I just need more time.
You soon realized time was too long. Clark would never see you as anything more than a kid, he literally had children your age. He was old enough to be your father. His youngest son had a crush on you and Clark is a good man. He would never consider you romantically.
You couldn't keep chasing after another unrequited love. Not after years of chasing your family's. Not after years of being pushed aside for an imposter who always outsmarted your attempts to expose her.
You wanted to move on. To leave everyone behind.
And that's what you did. There was no dramatic breaking point, no emotional stand-off. You were looking out your window one day and you realized you've done nothing. You've never been happy, never once truly happy, you lived for everyone but yourself. Not anymore. One random sunny Tuesday, the summer after you graduated highschool, you packed up and left everything behind, no goodbyes. Not even a note for Alfred. None of them deserved it.
You were tired, tired of chasing people.
You wanted to be chased and that's what you got. Every week it was someone new, your professor, your friends, your boss, anyone who was attracted to you, you slept with. It was so freeing. It was euphoric, making them fall in love, leading them into your bed, then kicking them out as soon as the next one came along.
The only thing that you truly loved now was music, it was all that got you through years and years of mistreatment. No matter what happened in the manor, you could turn your headphones on and forget. You could grab your guitar and strum your worries away.
College sucked. Long ago, you would've pushed yourself to go, even though you hated it, just to make your family proud. To chase approval you would never get. Not anymore, you knew you needed a degree to make a living, but a gap year never hurt anyone.
You began working as a singer in different bars. It let you write songs and make money. There was nothing more addicting than feeling eyes on you, enchanted by you. Your voice was magnetic, drawing people in, and like any good predator, you feasted on their hearts and left as soon as they stopped inspiring you. Yet, no matter how good-looking or good in bed they were, they would never be Clark.
One night, after a few months of your reckless, self-destructive pattern, you found yourself in a dimly lit bar on the outskirts of Gotham, a place where nobody would recognize you. You weren't gonna sing, not tonight.
You weren’t here to find love, you weren’t here to talk or connect. You were here to forget.
The clink of glasses and low murmur of conversation surrounded you, but it was the figure in the corner that caught your attention.
A man with a commanding presence sat alone at the bar, his back straight, eyes locked on the dim-lit television above the counter. His hair was peppered with gray, but there was something ageless about the way he carried himself; tough, confident, dangerous. The eyepatch over his right eye only enhanced the mystery, adding a cruel allure to his already intimidating presence.
You couldn’t quite place why you were drawn to him, but the moment you saw him, a spark ignited. Slade Wilson. He worked with Bruce somehow one time, everyone hated him, even Clark. You remembered him because he was the only man, other than Clark, not to fall for Tiffany's charm and that was a win in your book.
You’d heard of him in passing, mostly in rumors—whispers of a deadly mercenary, a ghost in the shadows of Gotham, a man you wouldn’t want to cross. But here he was, sitting like a predator in a place filled with prey.
You weren’t afraid. You never were. You’d been raised in the shadows of Gotham, after all, with men who didn’t even know how to love you. You’d seen dangerous men before. You knew how to handle yourself.
You sauntered over, taking a seat next to him, your movements casual but purposeful. He glanced at you briefly, his lips twitching into the slightest of smirks before his eyes returned to the screen.
"Mind if I join you?" you asked, leaning into the counter, placing your drink beside his.
His gaze flicked toward you again, this time a little longer. There was something predatory in the way he sized you up, assessing your every move. "Not at all."
You smirked, tilting your head slightly. "I’ve been told I’m a good time."
A quiet chuckle rumbled in his chest, but it was cold, calculated. "That so?"
You didn’t miss the way his eyes dropped briefly to your lips, but he didn’t let his attention linger for long. He took a long sip of his drink and leaned back, unbothered, as though you were nothing more than another fleeting distraction.
You were used to this, the indifferent types. But you weren’t going to let him slip away that easily.
“You don’t strike me as the kind of guy who spends his nights in places like this,” you said, turning towards him with a sly grin. “I imagine you’ve got better places to be.”
Slade didn’t look at you when he responded, his voice low and smooth, like gravel being ground underfoot. “I’m where I want to be.”
You laughed, the sound rich and teasing. "So, what does someone like you do for fun, then?"
For a moment, the silence stretched between you, and then he finally turned to meet your eyes, the weight of his gaze making your stomach flutter for reasons you couldn’t explain. "Fun... isn’t what I’m here for."
You let out a slow breath, leaning in a little closer, just enough for the scent of his cologne to hit you, something spicy, with a touch of danger.
"Then what are you here for?" you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. You could see the muscles in his jaw tense slightly, but he didn’t pull away. Instead, he met your gaze head-on, his lips curling up ever so slightly at the corners.
"Business."
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Business, huh? I love business."
“I'm sure you do” he said cryptically, but his voice was thick with unspoken meaning.
The tension between you was palpable, electric. You couldn’t deny the pull you felt toward him. It wasn’t just his looks, though they were undeniably attractive in their own gritty, dangerous way. No, it was the way he carried himself, like he was someone who could destroy everything in his path if he wanted.
You weren’t intimidated, though. If anything, it intrigued you more.
You leaned closer, the warmth of your body pressing against his, your breath hot against his ear. “So, what do you do when business is done?”
For a moment, he didn’t answer. He just stared at you, his eyes hard and calculating. And then, before you could react, his lips brushed against your ear, his voice low and dangerous. "You don’t want to know."
You shivered at his words, at the heat of his breath, but you were beyond caring. You were tired of being the one who was always desired but never loved, the one who always chased but was never caught. Tonight, you wanted to be wanted, and you wanted him to want you more than anything.
"Maybe I wanna find out" you breathed, your hand sliding down his arm.
His hand shot out like lightning, grabbing your wrist before you could make contact. His grip was firm, but not painful—just a reminder of his control, of how easily he could break you if he wanted.
“Not tonight,” he murmured, voice rough. "Not the way you think."
You stared at him, uncertainty flickering in your gaze for the briefest of moments. You had gotten used to men not wanting you the way you wanted them, it was all you knew growing up. But now things were different with your abilities. This wasn’t the first time someone had pulled away, but with him, it felt different, like he was holding back, just as much as you were.
You smirked. "What makes you think you can stop me?"
His lips curled again, this time with something darker in his eyes. "Because I’m the one who calls the shots."
A challenge. A warning. And for some reason, that only made you want him more.
Before you could react, he stood up, his hand lingering on your wrist for just a beat longer. "If you’re serious about this, I’ll be at the back exit in thirty minutes."
Then, without waiting for a response, he was gone, disappearing into the shadows of the bar.
You sat there for a moment, staring after him, the heat of the moment hanging in the air between you.
You weren’t sure whether to follow or not, but you knew one thing for certain: tonight was going to be a night you wouldn’t forget.
And so, you found yourself standing outside in the cool night air, your heart racing. You hadn't planned for this, but somehow it felt inevitable.
When you saw him again, waiting by the dark alley, it was clear this was a man who didn’t let anything slip through his fingers. And tonight, you weren’t going to let him slip away either. You approached him, your steps measured and confident.
He didn't speak immediately, just gave you a slow, knowing smile as you came closer.
This wasn’t the start of a love story. This wasn’t about feelings or connections. This was something darker, something more primal.
This was a game. And you weren’t sure if you were the predator... or the prey.
But you were ready to find out.
The cool Gotham air settled in your lungs as you closed the distance between yourself and Slade, your heels clicking softly on the pavement.
He stood by the alley entrance, leaning casually against the brick wall, his figure lit only by the faint streetlight behind him. The shadows clung to him like a second skin, making his presence feel like an almost dangerous secret—something you weren’t sure you were ready to unravel, but damn, you were more than willing to try.
Slade didn’t say a word as you approached, his one visible eye catching yours with that piercing, unreadable stare of his. You knew that look. It was the same kind of look your father gave you when he had to make tough decisions, when he saw things for what they truly were. Cold, calculating. But this? This felt different. This felt like a challenge. And you were more than ready for it.
“Still think you can handle me?” His voice was low, but it had that same teasing bite, as if he were daring you to prove him wrong.
You were close now—too close for comfort, but you didn’t care. You stepped into his space, the heat of his body now radiating against yours, his scent filling your senses. “I don’t need to handle you,” you murmured, your lips barely brushing his ear as you leaned in. “I think you need to handle me.”
There was a flicker in his gaze, something almost imperceptible, but it was enough to make your pulse quicken. He didn’t move away, didn’t flinch like others would have. If anything, the air around you both seemed to crackle with intensity.
“Is that what you think this is about?” Slade asked, his voice rougher now, as though the control he so carefully maintained was slipping just a little. “You’re not the first woman who’s come to me thinking they can make me want them.”
You were sure he was referring to Tiffany, there was no way a man like him ever forgot a name or face. Knowing he knew who you were and knowing he didn't care made you want him more.
You smiled, feeling that familiar rush of excitement surge through your veins. It wasn’t about making him want you. It was about making him need you.
“Maybe,” you said, leaning even closer, your lips almost touching his. “But I’m the first one who might actually make you lose control.”
For a heartbeat, you could have sworn the world around you stopped. Slade’s eye darkened, the intensity in his stare shifting from challenge to something sharper. More dangerous. But there was something else in his eyes now. Something that made your heart race faster than you cared to admit.
His hand shot out, gripping your wrist with a force that had your breath hitching in your throat. The familiar spark of danger lit up your skin, and you didn’t pull away. Instead, you let your body melt into his, feeling the pulse of raw, untamed power that radiated off him.
“You think you can push me?” he growled, his voice like gravel, each word like a warning and a promise all at once.
You didn’t answer him right away. Instead, you let your fingers trail across his chest, feeling the ridged muscles beneath the fabric of his shirt. Your touch was deliberate, slow, each movement a calculated game of power.
“Maybe I want to push you,” you said softly, your breath a whisper against his neck, “until I break you.”
The grip on your wrist tightened for a split second, his muscles flexing with controlled restraint. For a moment, you wondered if this was where it would end, that he’d push you away, tell you it was all just a game. But when he finally spoke again, his voice was thick with tension.
“Careful, sweetheart,” Slade murmured, his lips brushing against the curve of your jaw, sending a shiver down your spine. “I’m not sure you know what you’re asking for.”
You let out a breathy laugh, your body pressing even closer to his as your lips hovered dangerously close to his own. “Maybe I don’t,” you whispered. “But I’m willing to find out.”
Slade didn’t move for a long moment, just holding you there in that thin space between danger and desire. And then, finally, he closed the gap, his lips crashing into yours with the force of someone who had been holding back far too long.
The kiss was anything but gentle. It was a brutal, desperate collision of mouths, a clash of power and need. You could feel the tension in every muscle of his body as he claimed your mouth, his hands gripping your arms, his touch insistent and almost hungry. But you didn’t break, didn’t pull away. Instead, you kissed him back just as fiercely, hands roaming up his chest to grasp the collar of his jacket, pulling him closer.
For a second, you wondered if this would be the point where you lost yourself to the heat of the moment, but the longer you kissed him, the clearer it became that this wasn’t just about passion. It was about control. About testing boundaries.
And you were willing to play that game, because you were ready to win.
As the kiss deepened, Slade pulled away suddenly, his breath ragged, eyes darker now with desire and frustration. He wasn’t used to this. He wasn’t used to someone who didn’t give in.
“Not so easy, is it?” you whispered, your voice rough from the kiss, your body still pressed against his.
He glared at you for a moment, lips curling into a knowing smirk, the kind of smirk that made you feel like you were dancing on the edge of a knife.
“You’re not the first one to test me, Slade said, voice low and dangerous, his hands sliding down your arms with intent. “But you might be the first one who wants to."
Slade didn’t pull back, his chest rising and falling with a steady rhythm, but his gaze never left yours. His hand, still gripping your wrist, was no longer a force of restraint; it was an anchor, a silent promise of just how far this could go.
The weight of his stare sent a shiver down your spine. You weren’t sure if it was from anticipation or something deeper, something darker that he carried with him, but you felt it in every inch of your body. You weren’t here for games anymore, you were here because you wanted this. You wanted him.
But there was more to it. Something about the way he held you in his gaze told you that, for once, you weren’t in control. Slade Wilson was a man who played by his own rules. And now, you were learning the cost of trying to break them.
He released your wrist with slow precision, letting his fingers linger over your skin for just a second longer than necessary. You could feel the heat of his touch as he took a step back, eyes darkening with a new kind of challenge.
“You really think you’re the one calling the shots here?” His voice was low, rough, as though it had been soaked in whiskey and smoke.
You weren’t about to back down now. You smirked, leaning into him again, almost too close for comfort. “I think I’m just... along for the ride.”
Slade’s lips twisted into something dangerous, a mix of amusement and something else, something far more raw. He took a step toward you, crowding your space, his presence suffocating in the most exhilarating way.
“Not sure you know what that ride entails,” he murmured, his voice dipping even lower, sending another shiver down your spine.
“I’m starting to,” you replied, reaching for him, but this time, you didn’t touch him the way you had before. You trailed your fingers slowly, almost teasingly, down his chest, feeling the firmness of muscle beneath the fabric.
Slade didn’t stop you. His body stiffened, though. Just enough for you to feel that tight pull of control he was holding onto. It only made you want him more. You pressed a little closer, your body brushing against his in a subtle reminder that you were still in the game, too.
“I like doing things i'm not supposed to” you said, your lips grazing his ear as you spoke. “And I think you do, too.”
He stiffened at your words, his breath catching in his throat. For a split second, you thought you saw something flash behind his gaze—something far more primal than the cold, calculating predator you’d come to know.
Slade’s hand shot out, gripping your chin with surprising gentleness, forcing you to look up at him. The control was unmistakable in his hold, yet his eyes… his eyes were like a storm just about to break. “Don’t think you know what you’re asking for.”
“I never said I did.” Your voice was steady, confident, even though the truth was you didn’t fully know what this was. But you knew what you wanted, and right now, it was him.
He searched your face, his gaze intense, like he was deciding something. just as you thought he might break, he leaned in, closing the gap between you both.
His lips brushed against yours, barely a touch, but enough to send your pulse skyrocketing. For a moment, it was almost like a game of cat and mouse. He was holding back, just enough to make you ache for more.
His lips moved to your ear, his voice dropping lower, rougher. “You should walk away now. Because once this starts, there’s no going back.”
You leaned into him, your breath shaky, but your resolve unwavering. “I never look back. Not anymore.”
Slade didn’t hesitate. His lips crushed against yours with an urgency that felt like a storm breaking free. There was no softness. It was rough, driven by something savage, and it made you lose your breath as you kissed him back just as fiercely.
You felt his hands on you, strong and sure, pulling you into him, his grip possessive in a way that made your pulse race even faster. You let him guide you, let him take the lead—because, for the first time in so long, you didn’t need to be the one in control. You didn’t want to be.
That night, Slade Wilson made you forget about every other man in your life, even Clark Kent.
For the next three weeks, you and Slade continued game of cat and mouse. Every other day, you would go to a bar to play and he would somehow appear in the crowd, like a sailor lured by a siren.
Yet everytime, in the morning when you woke, still hot after the previous nights activities, Slade Wilson was nowhere to be found.
You knew he was too old for you, too rough and unstable, but he could be kind at times, when he wanted.
And he was fun.
And you're sure your family would have a joint aneurysum if they found out.
It was fun until one night, he didn't find you.
Two months later, nothing changed. No word from your 'family' asking where you were, only Alfred's weekly check up, and Damian's insufferable posting of him, Tiffany, and the rest the family having fun without you on Instagram. He didn't even bother to block you.
No word from Slade either, yet you still hoped he would show one night. Seems like you had a thing for men ignoring you.
But tonight, something felt electric in the air.
Slade’s shadow stretched across the dimly lit bar, his presence pulling every ounce of warmth from the room. You hadn’t seen him in two months, not since he’d walked away without a word, leaving you to pick up the pieces of everything. You’d told yourself you didn’t care, that his absence meant nothing. But seeing him again, standing there with that predatory stare of his, you couldn’t help but feel the heat rise in your chest.
You were busy, sure, singing and flirting, giving the crowd exactly what they wanted. But you couldn’t ignore the sudden heaviness in the air. The way the music seemed to fade as his eyes locked onto yours from across the room. The same gaze that had always made you feel like you were his—like he could take whatever he wanted and leave you with nothing.
You kept the smile on your face, tossing your hair over your shoulder, a flirtatious laugh escaping your lips as you tossed a wink at one of the men leaning against the bar. You could feel Slade watching you, not just with his eyes but with every inch of his body. He hadn’t come to listen to the music. He didn’t give a damn about the crowd or the drinks. He was here for you.
And he was pissed.
He approached you with slow, deliberate steps, his frame imposing, his eyes cold with that familiar edge. When he spoke, his voice was a low rumble, almost drowned out by the noise of the bar, but it cut through everything like a blade.
“Well, well, well… look at you, darlin’. Didn’t take you long to move on, huh?”
Your pulse quickened, but you kept your head high. “Didn’t realize I needed your permission, babe.”
He ignored the jab, his lips twitching in a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “Haven’t seen you in two months, and this is what I come back to? You’re out here playing with the other boys now?”
You didn’t flinch. “You didn’t exactly leave me with much of a choice. You were the one who disappeared, remember?”
Slade's gaze hardened, and before you knew it, he was right in front of you, close enough that his breath stirred the strands of your hair. He leaned down, his voice dropping low, rough. “You really think you can just forget about me? Move on with them? Cute little act you've got going, sweetheart, but I can see right through it.”
You pushed back, trying to ignore the flutter in your chest. “I’m not doing anything. I’m just having fun. I’m living my life, Slade. You should try it sometime.”
His smirk curled, but there was no warmth in it. “I don’t need advice from you. And I don’t give a damn about your ‘fun.’” His hand shot out, grabbing your wrist with a brutal grip, pulling you closer. “Where’s your old man? Where’s your daddy been? What about your brothers? Do they even know what the hell you’ve been up to?”
The sharpness of his words cut deeper than you wanted to admit. Slade always knew how to hit you where it hurt, and he wasn’t giving you any room to breathe. “Don’t touch me,” you snapped, but the defiance didn’t reach your voice the way you wanted it to.
“Funny, that’s what I thought you’d say.” He released your wrist, but not before giving it a firm squeeze. “I already know what’s been going on with your family. They’ve been too busy holding onto their precious Tiffany, haven’t they?”
You flinched at the mention of her name. Everyone knew Tiffany was the golden child, the one your family had actually cared about. The one they’d all protected, even when she turned out to be the one using them. You’d known for a while that she was a spy, but it didn’t make it any easier to swallow.
Slade’s eyes glinted with that sharp, calculating look. “You knew what she was doing, didn’t you? All this time, she was playing them like puppets, and now they’re gonna come crawling back, pretending they care. They’ll be looking for you soon enough, you know. Guilt’s a hell of a thing.”
The words sank into you, twisting painfully. You hated how right he was. Your family had always been so focused on Tiffany that they hadn’t noticed how you were slipping through the cracks. And now, with her gone, they were going to realize their mistake. They were going to come for you, but it wouldn’t be because they cared. It would be because they felt guilty.
Slade took a step closer, his hand lightly grazing your cheek, the touch cold and commanding. “They’ll come running for you when they realize what they’ve lost, sweetheart. But don’t fool yourself. It won’t be about you. It’ll be about guilt. About making things right because they fucked up. But you know better than anyone, those kinds of people always forget when the next shiny thing comes along.”
You swallowed, trying to keep your composure. “What do you want from me?”
His smirk widened, his fingers trailing down your jaw with a casualness that made your skin crawl in a way you couldn’t quite explain. “What do I want from you, sweetheart? Maybe just the same thing I’ve always wanted. But let’s be clear: I’m not here to save you from them. Hell, I don’t even know if you want saving.”
You glared at him, feeling the bitter edge of your own anger. “Then why the hell are you here?”
Slade's eyes softened for a brief second—just long enough to make you wonder if this was something more than just a game to him. Then, as quickly as it appeared, the moment was gone, replaced by that familiar coldness. “I’m here because you’re a hell of a lot smarter than they’ll ever give you credit for. And you’re not stupid enough to think you need them. You know they never cared, not really.”
You opened your mouth to argue, but the words died in your throat. He was right. You did know it, deep down. You’d always known. It stung, more than you cared to admit, but you were done being angry about it.
He leaned in, his lips brushing just below your ear. “When they come, and they will come, you can show them what it feels like to be abandoned. You can make them feel just how you felt. But don’t think for a second you can do it without me.”
You didn’t respond right away, your heart pounding in your chest. He wasn’t offering you a way out, he was offering you a choice. A choice between playing the victim to your family’s guilt, or standing beside him as he carved his own path. Neither option was a clean one, but something about him made it feel like the one you’d always been meant to choose.
Slade stepped back, his eyes scanning you as if he was trying to figure you out. “You’re not like them, sweetheart. And you’re not gonna let them walk all over you. Not this time.”
You finally met his gaze, the anger and frustration swirling in your chest. “You don’t know anything about me.”
Slade grinned, that predatory, dangerous grin that made you feel like you were in over your head. “Oh, I know more than you think.”
Slade’s presence was suffocating, his shadow looming over you like something darker than the night itself. He’d always had that effect on you, but tonight, with the way he leaned in so close, his words cutting through the air like daggers, you couldn't help but feel a chill creep down your spine.
His eyes never left yours, not for a second, his smirk tightening as if he knew exactly how to push every button. "You know, sweetheart, you always think you’ve got everything figured out, don’t you?” His voice was soft, dangerous, like a whisper in a dark alley. “But you’ve been running from something for a long time. Something you can’t hide from anymore."
You felt your heart beat a little faster, but you refused to show it. You’d dealt with him long enough to know that showing weakness only made him more dangerous. “What the hell are you talking about?”
Slade’s gaze slid over you, dismissive yet calculating. “I think you know exactly what I mean. But let’s not play coy here. You used to be close with Jason. Back when he was alive, at least. You were a team, weren’t you?”
The mention of Jason made your stomach twist, but you clenched your jaw and forced your face into something resembling indifference. You refused to let Slade see you hurt. “What about it?”
“Nothing, just... funny, isn’t it?” Slade’s lips curved into a grin that made your skin crawl. “You two were close. But then, Jason died, and who was left? The family? They couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to you. They didn’t notice when Tiffany came around, and they sure as hell haven’t noticed since.”
Your breath caught in your throat, the truth hitting a little too hard. But you kept your composure, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing how much it stung. “What do you want, Slade?”
His eyes softened just enough to make you think for a second that he might’ve been telling the truth—only for that same grin to return, sharper than before. “What I want? You're not getting it, sweetheart. It’s not about me. It’s about you.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, trying to figure out just how much of this conversation was manipulation. And how much was something more... personal? The tension between you two was so thick, it felt like it might snap at any moment.
Slade took a step closer, his movements slow, deliberate. “You’ve been wasting your time, haven’t you? Hiding behind that bar, singing, flirting with men who’ll never understand you. You could do so much more than this, you know. You’ve got potential.”
He said the word like it was something sacred. A promise or a curse, you couldn’t quite decide.
You shook your head, taking a small step back. "I don’t need you or anyone else to tell me what I can and can’t do."
Slade’s eyes darkened, his smirk turning predatory. “Oh, I think you do. I think you want to know. Deep down, you’re craving someone to show you how to unlock it. Your powers. Your real potential. You want something bigger, something more than this.”
Your pulse quickened, and a sickening unease washed over you. How the hell did he know about your powers? How much did he really know? The idea that he’d been watching you from afar, or worse, had been tracking your every move, made your skin crawl.
You tried to push that thought away. “I don’t know what you think you know about me, but you’re wrong. I don’t need anyone’s help.”
Slade studied you for a long moment, his gaze never faltering. He was evaluating you, and you could feel the weight of it pressing on your chest. When he spoke again, his tone was almost... too calm, too casual.
“Let’s be real here, darlin'. You do need help. You’ve got power, and I’m not talking about the small-time tricks you’ve been playing with. You could be so much more. But you're stuck. Trapped in this little life you’ve built for yourself because you’re too afraid to face what's really inside you.”
“Why are you even here?” You asked, trying to keep your voice steady, but the edge was starting to creep in. You wanted answers, and you wanted them now. “You disappeared for two months, and now you’re showing up like you know everything about me. What’s your game?”
He took a slow, deliberate step forward, his figure blocking the dim light above you. “My game? I’m not here to play games. I’m here because I’m offering you an opportunity. An opportunity to stop hiding from yourself. To work with me. To really figure out what you’re capable of. I’ve seen the way you move. The way you think. And I know you’re capable of so much more than this little bar. But you’ll need training. You’ll need guidance. My guidance.”
Your eyes narrowed, and you couldn’t stop the involuntary shiver that ran through you. He was offering you something, something you didn’t quite understand, but the implication was clear: he wanted you to join him. To work together.
But there was something... off. The way he was talking. The way he seemed to know everything about you, the things you hadn’t told anyone, not even yourself.
“How do you know all this?” You demanded, your voice cracking despite your best efforts to sound confident. “How do you know about Jason? About Tiffany? About whats happening to me?”
Slade’s grin widened, a strange glint in his eyes as he leaned in, almost as if savoring the tension. “There's nothing I don't know. I know more than you think. But here’s the thing: you don’t need to understand everything right away. You just need to trust me. Trust that I know what you need. And trust that I can give you what you’ve been searching for. What they could never give you.”
His words were like a knife, each one digging deeper. “I’m not asking for your loyalty. Not yet. But think about it, yeah? I’m offering you something bigger than this... this place, these people. I can offer you something real. Power. Freedom.”
Your eyes were still locked with his, but your mind was racing. You couldn't stop the unease creeping through you. There was a part of you that wanted to know what he meant. Wanted to know how far your powers could go. Wanted to trust him, even though everything in your gut told you not to.
“And what about Clark?” You blurted out, unable to stop yourself. “I’m supposed to just... forget about him too? You don’t think I notice? You think I’m some naive little girl who doesn’t know what’s going on? You think I can't see you using me? Trying to groom me?”
Slade’s eyes flickered, just for a moment, before his lips curled into a snide smile. “Clark.” He scoffed. “The big, shiny boy scout with all the answers. I wouldn’t worry too much about him. You and I both know how far that age gap really stretches. He’s too good for you, always will be.”
He took a step closer, his eyes glinting with something dark. “But me? I don’t need to pretend. I know exactly what you need. And I won’t keep running from it like your little superhero friend. I’m offering you something real, and you’re smart enough to see that.”
His words, sharp and possessive, lingered in the air. You swallowed, your throat dry.
“I’ll think about it.” The words came out more breathless than you intended, but Slade didn’t seem to mind.
“Good girl.” His tone was sharp, like an order, but there was something more in it, something possessive, like a claim. He reached out, his fingers brushing your arm as if he had every right to touch you. And the worst part was, you didn’t pull away.
“Don’t take too long,” he murmured, his lips close to your ear. “I’m not the patient type. And when I come back, you’ll have an answer. I’ll be waiting, sweetheart.”
You hated how that sent a chill down your spine.
OKKKKKK WHAT DO YALL THINK??? IS IT GOOD??? BE HONEST!! I BARELY KNEW WHO SLADE WAS BEFORE THIS SO IT MIGHT BE OOC! REMEBER THIS IS AN AU! SORRY IF THERE'S TYPOS I WROTE THIS ON MY PHONE IN BED. I FEEL LIKE IT SUCKS SO I MIGHT TAKE IT DOWN AND NEVER SPEAK OF IT AGAIN!!!!

Tumblr media
you were a lady.
or so you were raised to be. having been brought up in the high society of the city of linkon, you knew your social purpose amongst others and you also knew you had to make a place for yourself beyond being a delectable, innocent, and poised young woman brandished for the wealthy to negotiate through joining families. you had to be a hunter; an unapproachable entity that was most desired yet most difficult to obtain.
behave appropriately, act well amongst your peers, and also know how to defend yourself against the crude wanderers that lurked within the shadows. it had been made law that every citizen was forbidden from traveling around in the dark of night due to the unsafe nature of the environment. but you were never truly one to follow the rules among others.
that is, until you found yourself fighting for your life against the very creatures the law was created for you to avoid.
your given abilities were useful for you to defend yourself but they were more impactful when partnered with another– a privilege you currently did not have. your attire, bedazzled in jewels and badges representing your awards for the late soiree you had just left, was torn and stained with your own blood and the dirt of the ground.
you had considered that night to be your final celebration of your freedom. though you didn’t really anticipate being attacked by wanderers to be on the palate for your night. your blunting blade in hand trembled as your arms suffered from tremors of stress, pain and exhaustion.
your breathing was ragged and your body ached. had you worn your riding attire, perhaps the battle would have fared more in your favour. you had effectively destroyed more than seven lurking wanderers, the following were stronger and larger than the last. morale was reaching a low, and your energy was not enough to sustain yet another battle without you collapsing.
though if your corpse was to be found, you would wish it was in good condition and not ruffled, so you straightened your form and held your blade as stiffly as you could force your body to. you would not lose your life piously or aimlessly. you were raised to hold a blade like a warrior adorned with her femininity, and you would die as such. after all, a death by the blade would always be better than a marriage to a man orchestrated by your stepfather.
a foreign man, you had heard from his private meetings. a foreigner with a questionable background, having travelled multiple worlds and fought endless battles. the more he conquered, the higher the bounty on his head. the imperial council, from what the gossipers have whispered across the entirety of linkon, has done little to none to control the “beast” or the “relentless conquerer”. though from what you’ve heard their lenience was also due to him allegedly being of noble rank. he ran amok, with his blood red eyes, and hair as white as a ghost’s chilling grasp.
his iron fist ran a vast network of crows, all known in union as onychinus. like a marbled table spreading its onyx darkness across the known universe, onychinus stretched its arms into every known and potentially unknown world marking its territory and ensuring its name was remembered. ensuring the name sylus was unforgotten.
the same sylus you were doomed to marry.
you didn’t know which god to pray to for your last battle, not that you were religious to begin with. but it was customary for anyone who held their last blade to send a prayer if they believed they near taking their final breath. so you briefly muttered your gratitudes, your repentances, and your pleas to them all hoping at least one would listen.
the heavy thumps of the wanderer drew painfully near. you solemnly opened your eyes, readjusting your grip and preparing your body to strike. your lips move rapidly as you repeat your words in a broken mantra.
“the blade pierces fear, the blade pierces fear.”
the caws of a crow disrupted your mental flow, distracting you momentarily. in an instant, a gust of darkness rushed past you with a shadow of darkness tinted with red following. the wanderer was blown back by the blunt impact of the shadow, then again. and again. until its arm was separated from its body, then one of its legs, making it topple over.
a flash of darkness rushed past you, assaulting the wanderer in crude blows, a double light trail of red following its movements and soft, white tufts flowing with the wind as the scent of spice flowed into your nostrils. perhaps an energy-based evol? with red eyes and what seemed like white hair– it couldn’t be. no way in hell could it be.
you quickly stumbled back, hearing the crow’s noise grow louder until a loud crackle of energy and a heavy screech silenced the night. the wanderer was obliterated. literally blown into energetic dust as if erased from existence– or rather transformed and reduced to the crystal core before you.
you remembered your father– your biological father– teaching you about protocores, but you had never seen one until now. you reached for it with a shaky, bloody hand, tempted to feel that peculiar thing you’ve always wondered about but a large hand beat you to it, crushing the core to dust with the same energetic shadow.
“best not touch what you don’t understand,” the deep voice sent chills down your spine. you blinked, whipping your head towards the source only to find a gust of falling black feathers in the air. you caught one before the rest blew far from your reach, carefully storing it on your person. a small souvenir wouldn’t hurt especially after the one you wanted was destroyed.
“what i don’t understand?” you scoffed. “says the douche bag that broke the protocore and disappeared!”
you felt like the air got kicked out of your lungs. you deeply exhaled and leaned against the wall of a modiste. it must have been an hour since you left that soiree. your best option would be to sneak into the manor to avoid getting a telling to from your stepfather. but if he did perhaps your mother wouldn’t have to deal with him, especially in her current state.
you pushed yourself to your feet and began to walk back where you came from. you had intended to take a small walk before you returned to your estate on horseback. if you had taken the motorcycle, someone would have noticed. it wasn’t your first time sneaking out after the curfew.
there was a quick route through the crowd of stumbling drunks that also completed their night of drinking and possible fornication, not considering the risk of being both drunk and open to the sharp claws of the nearby wanderers. it was almost like those creatures were attracted to foolishness– though to be fair, you were recently attacked.
you eventually found your horse impatiently waiting for you with a very timid and very pissed off valet.
“i work with keeping cars safe, my lady,” he hissed, roughly handing the reins to you. “cars. not rude horses!”
“perhaps you should have been nicer,” you muttered, fumbling through the holographic screen of your watch. a high pitched ring sounded and echoed onto his wrist. “payment for your hard work, good sir.”
the valet’s mood quickly rose as he fully digested the price paid for his ‘service fee’. he grinned and quickly bowed to you continuously, thanking you for your generosity and asking for you to return with your horse again.
you smiled to yourself as you settled on the saddle, and patted your horse to start moving. the valet was still singing praises to you as the distance between the two of you grew increasingly larger.
“like i’d ever let him touch you again, my sweet.” you crooned, stroking the mane of your horse. you checked the time and hissed in worry. it was the middle of the night and your stepfather would soon be waking up to plot and ponder in his study like he always did.
“hyah!” your horse’s calming trot gradually transitioned into a sprint, carrying you through the late night towards your family home. you’d be there in minutes if you maintained your speed. throughout your travels you couldn’t shake off a weird feeling from your shoulders. as far from the central city as you were, you still felt like you were being watched.
one of the few interesting concepts of these ‘arranged’ marriages was that neither of partners in the wedded couple were allowed to see each other until the day of the wedding. and even those weren’t subtle.
huge celebrations would be held to celebrate unions and from the rumours you’ve heard along with what you’ve seen, the bride and groom would have already met one another at least a month prior at some party or another event where it would be difficult to track who comes in and when.
your case was slightly more discouraging, considering you only knew of the tales laced with potential deceit and fear regarding your husband-to-be. no secret rendezvous, no hidden in plain sight meetups like all the others blabbered on about. you were going to experience the real deal of having your hand and choice in who you marry signed off by a man who wasn’t even your biological father.
and that fury was why you threw a glass of juice at him during your adornment fittings. your wedding dress was far from simple. it was adorned with precious jewels around the neckline and embroidered on your back in the shape of your family’s crest. it was more than transparent that your wedding was considered big if your stepfather was going through the expenses of ensuring your dress was extravagant, inviting multiple politically influential figures, and trying to trap you within the estate until this very day.
it was to ‘maintain your purity’, according to him. though, that was no longer a claim you owned. not since your twentieth birthday. and that was five years ago.
and that doesn’t include the other outrageous comments and demands he made. one of them– and definitely not limited to that– involved him wanting you to give him grandchildren. grandchildren. as if he would have the privilege to ever see them!
he could fuck off and get his grandchildren from the bastard kids he’d abandoned for all you cared.
“you insolent wretch–“ the old man’s hands balled into fists as he slowly rose to his feet. the maids standing on either side of the dining room shifted to the sides of the door to give you passage to run in case he got violent.
“oh, are you going to banish me?” you bitterly chuckled, not minding his impeding anger radiating towards you. you cut through your croissant and relished in every bite as if it were the most important thing in the world. “do remember my mother and i are both more than capable of handling ourselves without you.”
you absentmindedly listened to him draw a deep, heavy breath before sighing and returning to his seat. “your mother is ill.”
the fork and knife in your hands dropped onto the plate, clattering around the room’s silence like the resonating waves of a bullet firing into an empty field. your gaze slowly flickered to him.
“and you aren’t getting any younger.” he scoffed, looking you up and down as if you weren’t known as one of the most beautiful women in high society. “you must serve your purpose to this family–“
“i believe you meant serve your personal interests.” you cut, with venom laced in your voice.
“he means in the interest of this family and you.” a frail voice pulled you out of your angered state and dragged into momentary shock.
your mother, frail and thin, stood at the entrance to your dressing room leaning over on her walking stick. the maid beside her stood like a cowering puppy that had been swatted away. even in her state of weakness, your mother still stood strong– one of the many qualities you inherited from her. her perseverance.
“mother,” you began, slowly rolling your next words over your tongue. “there has to be another way. we are influential and financially affluent enough to handle ourselves–“
“not enough to handle the imperial court.” your mother sighed as she slowly reached you. she raised her eyes to up to you, your form elevated by the pedestal and illuminated by the lights above you. in her eyes it seemed as though she had birthed an angel.
“so beautiful, dear child,” she smiled softly, running her hand up the waistline of your dress until her cold slender fingers held your cheek. “your father would have loved to see you in this. he used to fantasise about walking you down the aisle.”
“he’s not here anymore,” you whispered with cracks of grief slipping through your hardened tone. or was it hatred? hatred for the fact that he left you so young, or that his best friend married your mother almost weeks after? “and he doesn’t deserve to get that chance.” without looking, she knew who you meant.
your mother’s lips quivered into a straight line. she stepped back as her hand cold on your face fell to her side. “best you get your makeup done. you have the audience of the imperial court, the people of linkon, onychinus and that n109 zone. you must represent us well.”
to hear that struck you like an iron bullet. almost as painful as it would have been had you been killed last night. you were starting to wonder if you should have laid your blade to the ground. if being consumed and destroyed by a wanderer was better than giving up your hand to an intergalactic criminal.
“you will not walk by my arm.” you hissed to your stepfather. “i’d rather dig up my father’s corpse than let you get that chance.” you hiked up your gown and stormed off into the adjacent room where the stylists had prepared the makeup for you.
the rest of the process was quiet. the stylists whispered their condolences to you, mentioning tips to help you survive should your life be threatened, some others suggesting your husband-to-be may not be as cruel as rumour says.
your fears were etched into your face so much so that not even the prospect of being away from your family could console it.
the stylists had dispersed for your family priestess to bless your body. the back of your wedding gown was deliberately left open for your family crest to be inscribed onto your skin temporarily. it was an olden tradition that dated back to the ages where evols had not become more common amongst humans and the sole equivalent was sorcery.
some of the wealthier families stemmed from old sorcerers and practitioners of ancestral magic, protecting themselves through their family crests and watchwords. talismans, charms, sigils, spells, runes, the titles would vary amongst cultures but their meaning remained the same.
protection. strength. power. a call to war. they would be granted regardless of the method.
the needle was hot on your flesh and the scent of your skin burning made of your body twitch in discomfort. the priestess, adorned in her traditional garb designed to cover her entire body, tutted at you.
“remain still.” she dragged the hot needle down your spine, finalising the process of your marking. “it will fade in a few hours. but the magic stay intact for as long as you allow it.”
you slowly stretched, feeling the stiffening pain growing on you. you swallowed the reel of profanities threatening to roll of your tongue as you turned to the priestess who was packing away her supplies.
“you were trained to fight wanderers, and honour our family like your predecessors. my predecessors.” you rushed to her and tightly held her hands. your options were slipping out of your hand like sand, making you more desperate than before. “cousin, i know of the faction that trained you– that hunters association. and you know i’m more than capable to be within your rank. take me with you.”
you could almost hear her smiling in pity. she pulled her hands away and slowly stepped back. “my destiny is tied to my position. yours is much different and much more broad.” as she turned her back to you, she placed a small coin on the dressing table. “you will do far better once you marry the dragon concealed as a crow. best of luck, little cousin.”
and alone you remained to float within your thoughts. your destiny was broader than hers? the only thing you could envision was the potential torture you’d go through once the ties were sealed. there was not much left for you to do.
the burning sting of the crest carved onto your back had run cold, a searing tingle burst through your back like gentle sparks indicating the talisman was now active. and always would be.
the bells snapped you out of your daze, ringing away the last of your freedom– or perhaps the last of your captivity. your mother and stepfather walked you to event hall of your mansion, where everyone awaited you. your mother gently kissed your forehead, whispering you luck and reminding you to maintain composure.
the large double doors swung open and melodic music silenced the crowd before you. row by row, they all rose to their feet acknowledging you more than your family behind you. perhaps it was the dress, or that you possibly held the expression of wanting to run. the last person to turn around met your gaze with his crimson eyes.
sylus.
the very sylus, leader of onychinus, fearsome conqueror of planets, was dressed in a fitted white suit stricken with embroidered red crows. a small brooch was pinned on his blazer, the ruby in the centre sparkled under the light. his eyes scanned you briefly before he adjusted his stance, silently reminding you to walk.
you deeply inhaled and stepped forward, deliberately moving as slowly as you could to scan each present guest in the hall. dignitaries from neighbouring planets, a large group of guests dressed in red and black including some wearing masks, distant family members and friends amongst the people of linkon, and most surprisingly four counsellors of the imperial court. you had expected less.
whispers broke out behind you as the insignia etched onto your back was clearly visible. you slowly realised that it wasn’t just a protection charm for you. you carried the burning torch telling your family’s enemies to remain in their place, that you were no longer weaker than them. you decided to assign it as a call to war against your own parents– cursing them for sending you off like this.
that would explain the secret meetings over the last few months. your marriage was a deal to grant your family protection. and judging by the satisfied look on one of the imperial counsellor’s face, they also had a chip in the transaction. control? access to weapons and intel?
but there was nothing that caught your attention more than the man standing patiently before you. for someone so menacing, he looked divine. god-sculpted face and damningly soft lips. his white hair looked as soft as a kitten’s fur. he was so tall and muscular. so beautiful too. you almost released your tension just from the sight of him.
he reached his hand out to help you step onto the pedestal to join him and the officiator. as you stood next to him, while feeling underwhelmingly short despite wearing heels, you caught a whiff of his scent. it was a bit too familiar, almost like burnt herbs and spices.
the officiator droned on about the beauties and responsibilities that came with marriage and how the union would connect our societies more than ever. you watched him glance to your left around the same area where your parents and the imperial counsellors sat. so he was in on the stunt too. maybe not a direct beneficiary, but all rivers end up in the ocean one way or another.
“you’re observant,” the rumbles of his voice sent shivers down your spine. another thing about him that was all too familiar. “good.”
you did not respond to his comment. a young girl skipped towards the two of you, cautiously holding a white cushion holding two rings; both encrusted with rubies and diamonds but one had a larger gem in the centre.
sylus picked the ring with the larger diamond and turned to you. he recited his vows to you, swearing his loyalty and endless care for you, among the many traditional vows a husband would make to his wife. his crimson eyes held firm on yours with a serious stare, meaning every single world– though that was the first time you met.
“you look rather calm to be marrying the douchebag that broke your protocore,” he muttered as his fingers caressed your hand before slipping the encrusted ring on you. the realisation slowly dawned upon you like the rising sun shining directly in your face. “don’t gawk, you’ll make a spectacle.”
you quickly relaxed and took his ring from the bearer to exchange the gesture. “so it was you last night.”
his hand was large and yet well cared for and almost scarless despite his endless battles. you recited your vows, similar to his and returned his gesture, though you couldn’t guarantee that you wouldn’t try to kill him in his sleep. if he did sleep. you slipping the ring onto his finger with more cruelty than intended, inducing a pained smirk from his lips.
“definitely a douchebag.”
the officiator, after another round of praises and ramblings of loyalty and union, asked if anyone opposed the union. you had hoped someone, anyone would say something. but the silence was clear and loud. you raised your head high, concealing the slither of disappointment– no, fury brewing within you.
“then through the powers bestowed upon me, i pronounce thee husband and wife. you may seal the union.”
you could feel your heart sink. you had to kiss him. kiss a renown intergalactic criminal, kiss those soft lips, kiss yourself into a marriage you likely wouldn’t leave by choice. those soft pink lips–
he was smirking at you. smirking! as if he read your mind– can he?
his hands, warm and gentle, cupped your cheeks as he leaned towards you.
“may i?” your words were held in your throat from the shock, making you to nod.
he closed the gap between you and the world temporarily fell silent. his lips were really soft. like, plump and so cushiony. he was gentle with the kiss, almost like you were his lifelong lover whom he relished, and kept it brief but long enough to illicit excited giggles from the young girls within the crowd. as you leaned away, your audience burst into a round of applause, standing to congratulate the sealing of your marriage. the finalisation of a deal made behind the curtains.
it didn’t feel like sparks bursting, not that you expected it to, but it felt surprisingly warm. homely and comfortable. like it was just you and him that mattered. which was a weird feeling. but you didn’t dislike it.
and in the deafening round of applause, in celebration, relief, envy, and pity, your eyes did not leave your stepfather’s. your mind did not leave the thought of screaming until your lungs shrivelled, as if your body wanted to do it itself.
it did not leave the desire to claw the life out of his throat.
“i can kill them all if you’d like,” sylus whispered, glancing down at you as you left the hall to enter another for the reception.
“excuse me?”
“you look unhappy,” he adjusted his tie, giving you a clearer view of his hands. the same hands that took down the wanderer last night. those veiny, strong hands– “about your current… position. so we can kill them all now, obviously excluding the children, then annul the marriage. would you like that?”
“wait, wait,” you paused in your steps. he just offered to murder every guest present then annul your marriage. he was giving you an open door to living your own life. but why? “isn’t this what you wanted? this marriage?”
“it was a necessary agreement,” he slowly spoke, carefully choosing his words. “there were many other ways to conduct a deal with your parents and the imperial court but those would have required more precision and time to handle. however, forcing your hand in something you don’t like isn’t right. i don’t mind ending this union between us once the time requisite passes– it’s a year, isn’t it?”
you were stunned, but still managed to muster a nod. he was so polite and colloquial. he kept a healthy distance from you to not make you too uncomfortable but kept close enough not to catch the suspicious eyes of the guests.
“if that is what you want then by all means,” he smirked as he paused, his right eye glimmered for a second. “though i can’t guarantee you’ll want to by that point.”
sylus’ hand remained on your person throughout the more festive side of the wedding, either on your hand or your shoulder, or your waist while his thumb rubbed up and down the bare skin of your back.
watching him whisper to foreign dignitaries just loud enough for you to hear, shaking hands with members of the imperial court while ensuring you were fully acknowledged with respect, his occasional check-ins with you to ensure you were fine throughout– that wasn’t what you had expected of the fearsome leader of onychinus.
his present ‘crows’ were all introduced to you, pledges and vows were made to your name to serve you with integrity, leaving you slightly confused as they only referred to you by your first name or ‘missus’ or ‘mrs boss’– specifically by two younger men wearing crow-like masks.
“do you not have a last name?” you whispered to sylus as the next group of pitiful, arrogant, or opportunistic guests began to flock towards you after the last.
“is it needed?” you shrugged and sighed, rolling your shoulders back to prepare for the fake smiles coming to you like a hurricane.
“i guess not, especially when you’re a planet conqueror.”
sylus softly hummed and took your hand, briefly walking away from the crowd before you. he guided you towards the entrance of the hall, attracting the attention of the guests you quickly moved past.
“what are you doing?” you hissed, subtly flicking the hand holding yours as you glanced over your shoulder. sylus briefly stopped and gently hooked your arm over his, which was surprisingly rather comfortable.
“i won’t let my wife tire herself out,” he said, glancing down at you with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. “don’t worry about the maggots behind you. they’ll likely assume we are too excited to wait for the night.”
right. you had almost forgotten about that old tradition of consummating marriages. it was an outdated practice by general standards, but some of the wealthier clans and families still found it necessary to lock the marriage in place. you were surprised he believed in that, considering his line of business.
“i’ve never understood the practice honestly,” he tutted. “let couples do as they please at their own pace.” perhaps you were wrong about him.
his crows began to depart one by one, stopping to either nod, give you a look of respect, or even hug you wishing their welcomes to you. the two crow mask wearing young men nudged each other before they handed you a bouquet of blood red roses.
“your first wedding gift from the bossman!” the one with a deeper voice said. you could tell they had meant sylus. you accepted the roses and gave him a questioning side glance.
“would you have preferred receiving it during the ceremony?”
he guided you out of the hall to the main entrance of the estate. a crow– with ruby eyes and adorned with mechanical alterations especially to its wings– landed on sylus’ shoulder as you stepped outside. a very expensive looking luxury car awaited you. along with your parents.
your mother hobbled towards you with her cane, holding her hand out to hold you one last time. you instinctively leaned into her touch and pulled her into your embrace. a wave of emotion washed over you brimming tears in your eyes.
your mother slowly stepped away from you, reluctant to let go of your hand. her sharp gaze averted to sylus who silently watched your stepfather throughout the interaction.
“keep my child safe. and alive.” he only gave her a nod. it became clear that your time was up for your old life. the transfer was complete and what happened next was up to you to brave with courage.
you gave your mother a final hug, requesting for her to take care of herself and that you would visit whenever you got the chance– both of you knew you never would.
as the vehicle pulled out of the main driveway with sylus at the wheel and you on the passenger seat, you heard your stepfather wishing you godspeed. it took more than balling your hands into fists to stop yourself from jumping out of the car and decapitating him with your hands.
the drive was mostly silent. the roof the car was opened to allow the wind to brush through your hair. a few black cars drove by your side for several minutes before branching off to different locations until the two of you were isolated on a road leading to the outskirts of linkon city.
you weren’t too sure on how to begin conversation with him– your… husband. even thinking about it felt unnatural. the car slowly picked up more speed until passing vehicles flashed by in less than a second.
the exhilarating thrill of the speed reminded you of your horse and how you would often go riding at night to experience a sense of thrill to dispel your anger or disappointment. you had gone for a morning ride before preparing for the wedding, too afraid to say goodbye as your horse was the one thing– outside your mother– that you weren’t willing to let go of. like a man with a dog, you and your horse were true companions.
“you did well,” his voice almost made you jump in your seat. you turned to him with a look of slight agitation, watching him concentrate on the road.
“oh sure, you would definitely be proud.” you scoffed, voice heavily laced with sarcasm.
“it’s good that you’re not ignorant,” he continued as if you didn’t say anything, making your eye twitch. “keeping an eye on every guest there to understand their intentions behind their presence and discerning between those who cared and those who benefitted from your- our marriage… that was admirably smart.”
your eyes narrowed. he was being painfully meticulous with his words but it also seemed effortless. you felt warmed by the praise, the acknowledgement of you putting your knowledge to good use. the crow cawed at you in what you assumed was anger.
“is this your pet?” you bit at the bird, making it flutter its wings and caw even more. sylus’ grinned as the car drove into a more isolated road.
“mephisto,” he said as the crow hopped off his shoulder and flew ahead of the car. “i don’t consider him as a pet– more like a confidant.”
mephisto cawed at you once more before flying off of sylus’ shoulders to speed ahead towards a large estate. the mansion looked absolutely marvelous, with its aged designs and well maintained grounds. it was slightly larger than your family’s estate with the lengthy driveway, the magnificent fountain at the main entrance and the overall quietness of the space.
a dozen uniformed staff quietly moved boxes of what you recognised as your personal belongings into the mansion through what you assumed was the side entrance, stopping to bow in the presence of their employer.
one of them jogged to the car to greet sylus, not forgetting to acknowledge your presence, and announced that the staff would vacate to their quarters once your belongings were placed inside.
the interior was just as bourgeois as the outside. the main sitting area was dark, red and black with hints of rusted gold to be specific, covered with vintage furniture and collections of rare assets. you recognised a few of the paintings on the walls as prized works of classic creators. sylus was a creator.
towards the couches in the living area sat a bundle of neatly wrapped gifts in varying shapes and sizes. a few of the ones you picked were there as well. one of the many gifts that sat on the pile was the box of alcohol similar to the wine bottle in your hand.
“cherry wine,” sylus appeared next to you in complete silence, making you jump on the spot. “i love the scent of it.”
he poured you a glass and slid it to you before preparing his own. it smelled deliciously sweet to the point where you couldn’t tell if it was actually alcoholic. as the wine coated your lips, the sweetness was the first thing for you to sense. it was like drinking liquid sweets in the most erotic way possible. no wonder the term ‘pop the cherry’ was said when drinking that. the engulfing burn of the alcohol ran down your throat just as you swallowed.
your tolerance for alcohol was reasonably strong– strong enough to have at least three glasses of the wine before you began to act differently. sylus, on the other hand, was already in a bit of a blush. he wasn’t near finished with his first glass.
“i didn’t take you for the type that can’t stomach drinks,” you commented as you poured yourself another glass. something about that intoxicating sweetness just had you thirsting for more. you were heating up under the confines of your wedding dress with it pooling close to your core.
sylus chuckled with a hint of nerve. “i don’t have the tolerance for it,” he admitted as he took another leisurely sniff of the drink. “and my sense of taste is somewhat dull, so i appreciate the smell more than what i consume.” he swirled the crimson beverage in the crystal glass, admiring the gloss of it under the warm lights above you.
he glanced at the ring on your finger. “it looks good on you. i had feared that you would not like it.”
you followed his gaze, watching the light reflect on the crystals making them shine like water under the moonlight.
“and you looked marvellous in that dress, as tattered as it was.” he was talking about the previous night. before you got roughhoused by those wanderers, the dress was rather beautiful and formfitting for you– dashed with gold and black jewels to complement the ruby red colour of your attire. you didn’t think he had noticed.
you could feel his gaze peeling you open layer by layer, increasing the bubbling heat within you. the alcohol must have been quite strong since it was rare for you to get so fuzzy so quickly. he was probably going to ramble more if you didn’t change the subject.
“do you live here?” you asked, turning away to look around the living room. your torso still felt so tight and constricted. “it looks untouched.”
your fingers fumbled to remove your necklace, struggling to get a good grip of the clasp– partially because you were flustered and that you the dress was designed in such a way that you couldn’t vigorously move around.
sylus moved behind you and moved your hands to your sides with an uncharacteristic amount of gentleness. this kindness was still something you were suspicious of. for a conquerer to be so kind to you felt weird.
“it’s a temporary stop before we get to the n109 zone,” he helped you remove your necklace, his fingers slowly travelled up your neck to unclasp it. “we can stay however long you need if you’re not ready to go.”
you instinctively leaned into his touch, feeling the heat of his hand spread across your skin. his patience and care was something you greatly appreciated– so much so that it gradually lowered your guard.
from the wedding to the tedious reception to that very moment, his behaviour went completely against the rumours that spread tainting his name. the same rumours that instilled fear amongst your peers. even when he stepped in to help you in battle the previous night, he wasn’t cruel– not with you at least.
“what were you doing in linkon yesterday?” you asked as sylus placed the necklace on the couch. he took your hand, silently indicating his desire to walk with you.
“confirming a few deals with the hunters association,” the hallway was wide and covered with pillars of withered plants and old paintings. although it looked meticulously clean it was still so void of life. “i needed to maintain my influence with my associates working there. i believe one of them are distantly related to you. she said you have a habit of chasing wanderers.”
then that was what she meant about your destiny. she knew about the deal too. a flash of disappointment in your face caught his ever so watchful eye.
“don’t blame her for this arrangement. she didn’t know better.” he rubbed your hand with his thumb and tugged you into the dining hall, embroidered with expensive carpets, couches and a fireplace on and by the floor, exotic plants on the corners of the large room and large windows overlooking the extensive grounds of the estate, coloured orange from the setting sun.
your skin was painted in a warm gold colour along with his, kissed by the light shining into the dark room. the faint tipsy blush on sylus’ cheeks had gradually darkened as he looked at you, fully taking you in.
the way your dress hugged your body and accentuated your beauty, the soft amount of makeup on your face that amplified your natural appearance, and your relentless energy in how you spoke and moved had set his mind in a bit of a frenzy. even when you gave him that confused look you were just so pretty.
so pretty.
so beautiful.
so attractive.
heat flowed through his veins in rapid flashes, more than he could comprehend. it wasn’t similar to what he normally experienced whenever he was intoxicated. his hand left your grip to tug down on his tie that tightened around his neck, feeling as though he was suffocating.
his vision began to haze slightly, almost as though he was blinded by a wave of a familiar yet enhanced sensation– a magnified feeling.
lust.
“sylus?” his large hand hit the wall to maintain his balance. you almost called out for the staff to help but you quickly remembered they were all likely gone.
“are you alright?” your eyes blurred in a daze, your body fuzzed from the heat surrounding you and the incessant throbbing and swelling feeling of arousal spreading around you. sylus leaned on the wall, covering his eyes with his hand, the other quickly rushing down his abdomen to his crotch where a very large bulge pressed against the fabric of his pants.
oh. oh.
this was far from noble. both of you were basically clawing at your clothing, disheveled with the heat of pure desire– that had to be what it was. and for some reason, the muscles on his arms bulging through his tailored suit became more prominent than it was throughout the entire day.
just what could have caused a flash of this to happen out of nowhere?
then it clicked. the wine. that damned wine. did someone send it to you to spike you? the speculation made you pause to think. if someone wanted you and sylus dead, why would they send over a crate of cherry wine that has rendered you both insufferably hot–
“cherries, sylus, cherries are aphrodisiacs.” you groaned, holding your face in your hands. you just knew it that recommendation had no pure intent behind it.
“not strong ones,” sylus muttered, his back turned to you. though you could clearly see his ears were flushed red. “unless there’s another component in there– damn it, did you taste pomegranate?”
you did but it wasn’t that strong over the sweetness of the cherries. but you remembered someone mentioning (back in your clubbing days) that there are variants of the wine that have stronger effects– one of them being an aggressive aphrodisiac.
the air was thick, your breaths were heavy, the distance between you was less than a few steps away and ethically speaking it should have been much further than that. and yet– and yet you didn’t want to be any further from him.
you wanted to help him and yourself. through the clearest means possible.
“we need to fuck our way through this.” sylus whipped his head to you, almost bewildered by your brash approach. “only if you’re willing.”
“i am,” his chest rose and fell heavily, beads of sweat began to form on his forehead, damping that soft, cloud white hair of his. “but i worry if you are willing to do it. there are other ways we can handle this without going as far as intercourse–“
“what, masturbate in separate rooms?” you scoffed. you hissed in a breath, tugging down at your dress in a sore attempt to breathe more. “i don’t think i’d be able to get off if i can’t see you.” that part came out in a loud whisper which didn’t go deaf to his ears.
“oh sweetie,” that same infuriating yet charming smirk tugged at his plump, soft– fuck. “you think i’m attractive?”
“wasn’t that obvious?” you panted and tugged at your neckline. “gods, i need this dress off.”
a gust of energy pulled you towards sylus until you were fully in his embrace. his head was dipped into your neck, lips so close to your skin. if this was his attempt to help relieve your mutual tension it definitely wasn’t working.
“perhaps i can take it off,” his hands traveled to the back of your neck and the small of your back, searing your nerves just with his touch. “your desire has changed to that of wanting something. someone. should this someone step in?”
oh that ass– you knew exactly what he wanted you to say. you weren’t going to give him that satisfaction. not by a long shot.
“maybe a kiss will suffice,” you mentally slapped your forehead. a kiss will suffice? your flirtation skills must have turned into pure mush. it was probably his face. handsome, divine, damned face!
and to your internal relief and joy he dutifully complied, engulfing you in his touch. just like the first kiss you shared, he was so gentle but this time you could sense he was holding back. though, admittedly, so were you. your hands stroked his hair, occasionally tugging at those soft tufts. a low groan erupted into your mouth accompanied with a harsh tut.
“my dear wife,” his voice had dropped an octave, rumbling straight down to your core which had already started to pool with arousal. something about him calling you that felt good. really good. “we are dangerously dangling over this cliff. are you sure you want to take the dive?”
you pecked his lips, giddy from the kiss. “let’s hope you can swim.”
your hands swarmed all over each other as the kiss intensified with each beat of your heart. in intervaled tugs and pulls and breaths between the kisses, your shoes both were kicked off, then his tie fell to the floor, then his blazer, then his dress shirt, exposing his torso to your hungry eyes.
he expertly unbuttoned your dress at its collar and paused waiting for your permission to proceed. you quickly nodded and assisted him by tugging down the front of the dress, revealing your torso both bare and sparkling from the glitter sprayed onto your dress.
sylus eyed you with an indecipherable look all while feeling his way down to your hips so slowly with his large hands, tracing his fingers over the outline of your breasts and the sides of your waist. he was admiring you.
his eyes fluttered shut as a shaky whine left his lips. within the closed space between your heated bodies, his hips managed to jut to yours reminding you of his throbbing length trapped within the confines of his clothing.
you leaned back, widened eyes peering into his burning crimson gaze. a quiet bond had formed between you in seconds and the instant understanding had been made transparently clear. he took your hands– which were not surprisingly smaller than his own– until they cupped his erection. sylus’ hands swiftly touched the zipper below the back opening of your dress and tugged it straight down.
“my patience is wearing thin, sweetie,” his lips tickled the shell of your ear. “i don’t know how much more i can hold back with you this close to me.”
you wasted no time in tugging down his pants along with his briefs allowing his cock to spring free, slapping your skin with precum almost spurting from his reddened tip. that alone was enough to have you soaked.
it was so hot and heavy, and long and thick, thick enough for you to question if your hand could wrap around it let alone your poor pussy, who was shamelessly leaking even more while sylus slid your dress and your lacy underwear down to the floor.
“i wanted to rip that off.”
“what?”
“what?” with a scoff, you pushed him back with a singular finger to his chest and stepped away from the abandoned dress on the floor to get a better look of your husband confidently standing before you.
you’re mentally fanning yourself at the sight, shamelessly thinking of all the profanities you can conjure and all the dirtiest images involving the two of you. those thoughts must have been made under the influence of the wine. right?
“you like?” sylus grinned, watching you relentless stare at his body. his well-built, muscular body. god-sculpted and revered– fuck, you were in too deep.
“don’t get cocky.” you huffed, feeling your face warm for the nth time that night. that dress was getting a bit too tight on you. you tugged at the opening at your back to force more airflow around your skin but nothing was working. prickles of sensitivity brought you to a shiver, the slightest movement from your legs was stimulating pleasure to the power of a thousand.
you almost pounced on him. almost. but you maintained composure. you straightened your posture and moved to the dining table, pushing away the plates and cutlery in your way to free up the corner. fortunately it was short enough to stand between.
sylus followed in suit, standing at the opposite end of the table at the shorter side to not be too far from you. his hands wandered all over his body, stroking and pinching at his skin to tease himself– and you.
“i know what you’re doing, sylus.”
“i know what you’re doing, sweetie,” his hand eventually found his cock, ghosting his touch over his sensitive length. you watched him bite his lips, watched him intentionally raise the stakes in the little game you were playing together.
you were going to go all in. you leaned into the corner of the table, connecting your needy wetness to its new source of pleasure.
sharp jolts ran up your spine from your clit rubbing against the corner of the table. you paused, slowly repeating the movement until you relaxed into the position too needy to stop. your hand flew to your mouth to muffle the impeding moans just begging to roll off your tongue.
across the table, he watched you in a daze while lazily pumping at his cock. his fist squeezed around the base, making the veins running up his shaft more prominent, and stroked up until his angry red tip disappeared within his hand. a gentle plap! rhythm accompanied the classical music in the background as he picked up a reasonable pace.
his fingers danced around his tip rubbing back and forth on the slit that dribbled out precum like a leaky tap– soft moans were being pulled out of his lips as he teased his body, he caressed his chest and ultimately tortured himself, all while intently watching your pretty, squished breats bounce between your arms as your hips began to rut against the table.
he must have been doing all of that on purpose.
your knuckles paled as your grip on the table strengthened, so desperate to have something inside your weeping pussy that you almost stuffed your fingers as far as they’d be able to go. but alas, you knew they weren’t capable of satiating what you needed. you dropped your head to concentrate– to go just a bit harder–
“uh-uh, kitten,” you could just hear him smiling. kitten. a jolt shot straight down to your core. you could just feel your slick begin to drip down your legs, and judging by the reckless pump of blood flow your lips must swollen from all that need. “look at me.”
nope, you weren’t planning on doing that. not while you were getting closer to your climax. the angle you had found was just perfect, hitting the bud of your swollen clit and rubbing at the sensitive nerves surrounding at. you could just hear the squelches from your wetness leaking onto the table and dripping down in small, sticky droplets.
you raised your head slightly, panting out a desperate moan, eyes hazed with arousal and need only to find sylus not where he was originally standing. your breath hitched, instantly feeling his overwhelming presence behind you. how did he get there so fast?
his lips found the back of your neck, still well exposed despite the neatness of your styled hair falling apart. his hands settled on your waist, holding you in place as kissed down your spine and around the fading remnants of the insignia painted onto your back.
“how about i help you a bit?” he murmured and licked his way up your spine until his hot, wet tongue found the shell of your ear. “would you like that?”
too breathless to speak, you nodded.
“use your words, sweetie.” he whispered and pecked your jaw. his hardened cock lightly grazed the curve of your ass. “this only works if you tell me you want it.”
“oh fuck you.”
“that’s not what i’m looking for.” he teasingly presses himself against you, rubbing himself up and down, nestling his cock between your lower cheeks. “tell me what you want.”
he was so close yet so damn far, and his teasing wasn’t helping at all. “you.” you choked.
“hmm?”
“damn you, i need your help!” you blabbered while your body instinctively pushed back to be closer to him. “i want your help and i want you– now, help me!”
sylus hummed in approval, lowering his hands to your hips. “yes ma’am.”
your legs were beginning to ache from your endless grinding to satisfy your insatiable desire, bringing you to a tremble. sylus’ presence had briefly left you until he returned with his hands on the back of your thighs and warm air fanning your pussy.
“absolutely soaked,” he commented in astonishment, pressing a wet peck on your thigh, intentionally making you feel how far he is from where he’s supposed to be. you groaned, bucking back in urgency.
“stop teasing!”
“oh?” he pressed another kiss on your other thigh, intentionally increasing the distance. “i thought enjoyed my brattiness, kitten. are you going to threaten me with your claws?”
you stopped moving to give him a glare. “sylus–“
“no, continue what you were doing. i’ll take care of this little mess right…” his fingers rubbed your entrance, spreading your wetness down to your thighs. “here.”
oh yes. his hands were perfect.
they did so much more to you than your own ever could. you slowly rocked your hips against the desk to return your wavering attention to your needy bud. the double stimulation from his fingers gradually going deeper inside you and your clit being abused by a bloody inanimate object– you could just feel yourself reaching your limit.
his fingers explored your weeping pussy without restraint, curving and curling in you to find exactly what made you tick, twitch, and tingle. his lips caressed your bare lower cheeks, making your pant more and more until a sharp sting threw you off your daze. it was a bite. he bit you.
“did you just bite my ass–“
“yeah, what about it?”
you scoffed in disbelief, muttering that you’d stop him from biting your ass and pushed his head back to devour your soaking cunt. sylus grunted in surprise but wasted no time to get to work, resting his hands on your ass to give his tongue more access to you.
you heard of tongue-fucking as a concept but you never understood how good it felt– not until now. feeling him smoothly curl and curve that wet muscle inside you so effortlessly had you in a messy daze. your nails clawed into his hair, keeping him in place to continue with his gentle yet persistent ministrations.
“s-sylus,” you moaned, moving faster and faster to chase your impending high, keeping him close to you to ensure he followed your flow. “oh, fuck, sylus!”
“mm– so profane.” his voice was muffled against you, his tongue swirled around your entrance before slipping back inside. the vibrations of his moans rumbled through you almost triggering you to tip off the edge. that familiar plap! plap! rhythm sounded beneath you, accompanying his choked noises.
you pushed his head back to face him, and you were shockingly pleased.
your dangerous husband was on his knees with his hand shamelessly tending to his abandoned, flushed cock, jutting his hips to simulate what it could feel deep inside you. the experience of having his fingers and tongue in you alone was more than enough to set him off.
now he just needed to have you in every position humanely possible.
“need some help?” you grinned in a mocking tone, slowly kneeling before him. sylus’ face was as red as the cherry wine, his broad, muscular chest glistened in a layer of sweat that dripped down the lines of his abdomen until it was lost within the trimmed, white tufts of the hairs surrounding his cock. you just couldn’t take your eyes off him. you didn’t want to.
“please,” it didn’t even take you teasing for him to give in. sylus leaned forward, hand still working his raging cock, and rested his head against yours.
“i need you,” you watched his cock twitch in his hands, slowly beginning to salivate. damn, those aphrodisiacs were strong. you had never felt that aroused before. never felt such a strong desire to take him in your mouth.
“i have an idea,” you whispered, pecking the corner of his lips. he whimpered from the mere contact, leaning into you more to reach your lips. “if you’ll let me.”
“anything, kitten,” he pressed a desperate kiss on your lips. then another. “anything.”
what he didn’t anticipate from you was that you’d immediately go down on him, moving his hands up and swiping your tongue around his cock in an instant. he sucked in a deep breath, closing his eyes. what a seductress you were.
from the way you walked down the alter to him, to your joy and serenity on horseback, to that very moment with you bent down lubricating him with your tongue, kissing his leaking cockhead with your pretty lips.
you kissed your way up his shaft, long and heavy, testing how girthy he truly was with your hand– so thick you couldn’t wrap your hand around it fully. you took his tip in, getting a taste of his precum bursting into your mouth from a simple touch all while swirling your tongue over his slit.
his groans vibrated onto your tongue as it lapped up more drops of his precum at debilitatingly slow pace. lick, lick, lick like a kitten drinking milk. his shaft was not left alone, being delicately handled by your hands stroking up and down with gentle squeezes in intervals.
“squeeze– squeeze harder.” sylus panted. you raised your eyes to meet his piercing crimson gaze. a shot of tingles vibrated around your pussy, making you so much wetter. you obeyed without complaint, strengthening your grip on his cock with each stroke.
your head bobbed taking you further and further down his shaft until his leaky tip tapped the back of your mouth, right before the curve down your throat. you choked out a moan, feeling a tingle of tears burn the corners of your eyes. sylus quickly noticed and cradled your head, about to pull you out.
“are you alright?” from your angle he looked like such an adorable puppy, worried for you while his cock was stuffed in your mouth. you hummed, stroking his hand, and opened your jaw to take more of him. you took deep breaths through your nose slowly returning to your initial rhythm.
sylus watched his cock slowly disappear into your mouth until he was fully bottomed out in you. you were so warm and your throat was so tight around his length, so much so that you couldn’t help but gag every so often around his girth. the sounds of your chokes and gags filled the space along with the delicious sloppiness of your pretty mouth slurping around him.
“so pretty,” he huffed. the temptation to grip your head and guide you to go faster was getting stronger by the second. his knees ached from sitting in that position for so long but the pleasure was worth the pain. his hand instinctively pushed your further down into him and you responded so well by hollowing your cheeks, tightening your mouth around him as much as you could. his eyes rolled back as he moaned, your noises of pure pleasure reverberated in the air.
it was so wet and sloppy, creating a small puddle of precum and saliva from what dripped out of your mouth. you pulled your head back with a loud pop! with your tongue out, letting all the slickness drip down to his tip. sylus groaned in an attempt to hold back whatever profanities brewed in him.
your face was drenched from the tip of your nose down beyond your chin. sylus breathing was heavy, chest heaving, face fully flushed. his lips opened to speak but he was rendered speechless. his lips rushed onto your neck, licking up the slick wetness until his lips found yours.
like how you worked his cock, the kiss was wet, sloppy, lustfully passionate and boiling with your mutual greed to consume each other. your tongues swirled and collided, teeth occasionally clashing as well in reckless pursuit of remaining as close as possible.
he pulled you onto his lap, cock still rock hard and flush against your abdomen, rubbing against your flesh, making him shiver from the stimulation. the buzz from the aphrodisiac was still strong, coursing through him as quickly as his pulse.
“need to be in you,” he moaned against you lips in a rough plea. “need to feel you.”
your inhibitions were right out the window. all you could think of was the thought of you two sickeningly together, divinely united, fucking consummating the damn marriage just so you could fully feel him. “need you inside, sy,”
like hearing an instant buzzword sylus immediately acted on your word, picking you up and moving you towards the carpet by the fireplace. he rested your head on the larger pillow while pressing his lips down your body, whispering his praises.
his lips found your hand and kissed each knuckle. “thank you for accepting me despite our rough first impression.” he kissed you up your arm all the way to your collarbones, nipping your flesh then licking you as an apology.
“want to make you feel so good,” he suckled on your skin as his hands fondled your breasts, thumbs circling your pebbled nipples making your back arch. he gently tugged on your hardened bud with his teeth and switched to the other, lathering it with his tongue and leaving harsh bruises behind.
“want to be yours,” his lips slowly travelled back up your neck, suckling small bruises and biting his mark onto your skin.
“you are, genuis.” you huffed, wiggling your finger holding the bedazzled ring. sylus glanced at it with a look of great admiration, enamoured by how it looked in your hand. how you wore it so confidently.
“legally,” his hands held your face and gave you a squish. “legally, but not of your own accord.”
you had to admit that he was correct. the marriage alone wasn’t something you would have agreed with. but you found him interesting within the last few hours where you got to speak to him. outside of your physical attraction to him you liked how his mind worked too.
“then let me make you mine.”
a look of surprise painted his face. you assured him with a smile. “let me claim you as mine. my husband. my friend. my partner.”
your lips found each other once more, dancing in pure passion and adoration as your bodies performed a more lewd waltz in grinds and strong grips on sensitive flesh. sylus adjusted himself, aligning his cock with your dripping entrance.
he gave you one more questioning look to which you responded with an affirmative nod, lacing your fingers between his. he rolled his hips against yours, gently bullying the tip of his cock into you until it disappeared past your swollen pussy lips. you felt so warm and so damn tight he struggled to keep what was left of his composure.
the sting of his sheer size and girth made you hiss and claw your fingers on his arm, gasping at the sheer buildup of pressure. sylus’ eyes were squeezed shut, brows furrowed, and lips parted allowing a melodic moan to flow into your ears.
somehow the feeling of him being inside you get you wetter than you could comprehend and your walls sucked him in, pulling his cock deeper into you until he was almost, almost bottomed out.
“i think she likes me,” he huffed, massaging your hips to soothe the sting.
“maybe.”
“definitely.” he slowly drew his hips back and thrusted forward with little restraint. the pain had disappeared with a fiery ignition replacing it. your gummy walls held onto his cock as it drew back and rushed into you again, creating a slick and wet noise between you as he gradually went faster.
your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist to lock him in place while your hands explored his back, smooth and rippled with his muscles tensing and relaxing with each gentle thrust. his lips peppered kisses and bites onto your neck, sucking harsh bruises into your skin as a substitution for the pent up desire he was desperately trying to hold back.
your name was rambled into the air in seething moans as if he was almost pained to have to restrain himself. to not harm you in pursuit of pleasing you. and then you tugged his hair. and gave him that look.
“stop holding back sy,” you whispered and pecked the corner of his lip. you were feeling a bit too greedy. “let’s give in.”
something must have snapped in him. a switch must have flipped because you saw a completely different look in his eyes in the exact second you felt his cock fit inside you entirely, fully bottoming out in you. your eyes rolled back from the sheer quick force of it, choking out a cry.
he wasn’t merciful either with his pace gradually picking up to the point where your skin slapped against his every time your hips collided until a wet clapping rhythm echoed across the dining hall alongside your joint noises.
your hands crept up to his back, finding comfort in rudely carving red lines into his skin without restraint. sylus’ melodic groans serenaded you into a haze that demanded more and more from him– more noise, more pleasure, just more.
sylus slowly sat up and glanced down to watch his cock disappear inside you then pull back out, glistening with your joint wetness to the point where it ran up his abdomen. the pillows propping you up gave you a slight view as well, a view so lewd that you almost hit your orgasm then and there.
“you are so– so tight, kitten.” sylus panted, pushing his damped hair back. his muscles were flexed, defining the sweat dripping down his body. you were almost certain you could ride his abs and get off just from that.
“you’re so big,” your eyes fluttered closed, too overwhelmed by him filling you up consistently. the pleasure alone was overwhelming. seeing him so disheveled because of you was so delightful.
your legs were pushed up against you before he leaned back down, his tip teasing your dripping entrance for painfully long seconds before pushing in entirely in a swift slam. your pussy stung with esctasy, your toes curled from the intensive swell of pleasure in the direct spot his tip brutally poked, your eyes crossed out of your control. just what did he do?
near shaking above you, sylus leaned into your touch, hypnotised– no, enamoured by you. he just wanted to stay buried so deeply inside you, privileged to be the only one to feel how your walls squeeze and flutter around him, to be able to explore what makes you tick and moan or scratch him in need, what would make you happy, what would anger you, he wanted it all.
he had it all. he had you. and he was gradually learning just how much he needed you.
“you’re so enchanting,” he half moaned-half laughed as he returned to his initial pace in that deeper angle. “so– gods– so powerful.” he watched your pretty face fall into a daze, lips spread apart for him to hear your voice crack with your cries. your bodies were so close that the friction of your sweat stricken skin no longer bothered either of you.
you could felt your limit approaching. all that stimulation and foreplay from earlier on top of the aphrodisiac’s influence was driving you insane. you pulled sylus’ head to yours, pressing your lips onto his desperate to consume him, desperate to ensure he knew how you felt so good with him. how you felt safe.
but fuck, you were going to explode. you were so painfully close and it looked like he was too.
it took a few more sharp thrusts before the thin string snapped, throwing you into a whole new realm of bliss. a loud cry escaped you, followed by a soft whimper from the man above you before you both crumbled in the cloud of intoxicating sparks bursting.
your soaked walls fluttered as globs of sticky, hot cum filled you up, partially spurting out with each rough thrust. a string of curses filled the air from both of you due to the sheer deliciousness of the feeling.
hours– or, realistically speaking, minutes– must have passed while you panted, glistening in the afterglow of your erotic pursuit. despite the exhaustion, you somehow managed to soothe each other through soft caresses and massages in the areas where you gripped each other harder than intended.
sylus rested his head on your shoulder, kissing the parts of your neck that he could reach. you brought his hand to your lips and pecked each knuckle over and over again, blessing his ring finger with a particularly longer one.
“when the effects wear off, things will be a bit awkward.” sylus grumbled.
you hummed in agreement. but considering how far you had gone on your first– technically second– day of knowing one another, you could pretty much do anything.
“how about we start off as friends first and see where that goes?” you suggesting, lacing your fingers with his. your rings dazzled in the moonlight for to admire. “i mean, we’ve already achieved the marriage goal. and the consummation.”
his laugh vibrated onto your neck, further lulling you in to comfortable exhaustion. maybe a nice nap on the floor wouldn’t hurt.
sylus smiled a kiss onto your neck then your cheek, eyes twinkling with bliss and joy. “alright then, dearest wife who is also my new friend. let’s do that.”
in the mutual quiet, you both found yourselves admiring each other as the heat of your climax finally cooled down. and then the next wave of arousal quickly arrived. you definitely weren’t going to hold back this time.
“again.” you pressed a kiss on the corner of his lips.
“again?” he panted, almost in worry. you were insatiable.
“you can’t handle it?” you laughed in a teasing tone. within an instant you found yourself straddled on top of him– he must have turned you over with that inhumane strength– his cock quickly hardening again inside you.
“i was worried about you, sweetie,” he squeezed your nose with a playful grin before settling his large hands on your hips, rocking them back and forth. you could just feel his cum seeping out of you. “i hope you can keep up because we won’t be stopping till the sun rises.”

Yours to Keep
Jang Wonyoung and Naoi Rei x Male Reader
Tumblr media
You didn’t expect much when you transferred to GANGYU high school in Korea. All you wanted was a quiet life. To blend into the background, keep your head down, and focus on getting through the year without trouble. But from the moment you stepped into the classroom, your fate was sealed.
Jang Wonyoung and Naoi Rei—the golden duo of the school. Everyone knew them. Everyone feared them. And for reasons you couldn’t comprehend, they had decided to make you their target.
---
The bullying started small.
“Oops.” Wonyoung’s syrupy voice dripped with faux innocence as she brushed past you in the hallway, knocking your books to the floor. You bent down to pick them up, and before you could even process what was happening, her foot pressed down on the corner of your notebook, holding it in place.
“Careful,” she purred, looking down at you with those sharp, doll-like eyes. “You’re not very good at this, are you?”
Behind her, Rei snickered. “You’re lucky Wonyoung’s even acknowledging you. Most people don’t even notice trash on the floor.”
Your face burned as you forced yourself to remain silent. You grabbed your notebook the moment Wonyoung lifted her foot and walked away, their mocking laughter following you down the hall.
---
It escalated quickly after that.
During class, they’d whisper loudly about you, just loud enough for everyone to hear.
“Did you see Y/N’s shoes today? They look like something out of the bargain bin,” Wonyoung would say, her voice filled with derision.
Rei would lean closer to her, pretending to stifle a laugh. “I think my dog’s leash costs more than his entire outfit.”
You wanted to defend yourself, but what could you say? They were the queens of the school. Even the teachers seemed to favor them, always turning a blind eye to their antics.
---
The breaking point came during lunch one day.
You sat at the farthest table in the cafeteria, hoping to avoid them. But of course, they found you.
“Why are you sitting all the way back here?” Wonyoung asked, sliding into the seat across from you. Her long legs stretched out under the table, brushing against yours deliberately.
“Trying to avoid us?” Rei added, sitting down beside you. You flinched as her shoulder pressed into yours, her proximity suffocating.
“N-No, I just—” you stammered, but Wonyoung cut you off with a laugh.
“Of course you’re not,” she said, leaning forward. Her hand reached out to grab your chin, tilting your head up so you were forced to look at her. “You’d never ignore us, would you? That would be rude.”
Rei smirked, her hand snaking around your wrist under the table. Her grip was tighter than necessary, and you couldn’t pull away. “You’re ours, Y/N. Don’t forget that.”
“I don’t understand why you even try to resist,” Wonyoung continued, her voice sickly sweet. “You should just accept it. You’re nothing without us. Nothing.”
---
The days blurred together after that.
They followed you everywhere, making it impossible to avoid them. In class, they’d throw paper at the back of your head or kick your chair just to get your attention. During breaks, they’d “accidentally” bump into you, spilling your drink or knocking your food tray to the floor.
“Clean that up,” Wonyoung ordered one day, crossing her arms as she looked down at the mess she had caused.
You hesitated, and her eyes narrowed dangerously. “Did I stutter?”
Rei crouched beside you, her voice low and threatening. “Do you really want to make her mad? You should be grateful we’re even paying attention to you.”
---
But then, the bullying started to feel... different.
It wasn’t just humiliation anymore. It was control. Possession.
They began isolating you from everyone else. Anyone who tried to befriend you was met with icy glares and whispered threats.
One girl in your class, Minji, tried to partner with you for a project. The next day, she avoided you like the plague.
“Minji won’t be bothering you anymore,” Rei said with a satisfied smile when you confronted her. “You don’t need anyone else, Y/N. You have us.”
Wonyoung leaned against your desk, her hair falling over her shoulder as she stared down at you. “We’re all you need. Don’t you agree?”
---
The nights were the worst.
You’d find messages on your phone, even though you hadn’t given them your number.
“Did you eat dinner? You can’t skip meals without our permission.”
“Don’t think we don’t know where you are.”
“Sweet dreams, Y/N. Don’t forget you belong to us.”
One night, you woke up to the sound of your window rattling. Your heart raced as you got up to check, only to find a note taped to the glass.
*“You’re ours. Don’t forget it.”*
The handwriting was unmistakable.
---
They had you cornered, completely and utterly.
“You don’t need freedom,” Wonyoung said one day, her voice soft but firm. She stood in front of you, her arms crossed as Rei leaned against your locker, watching you with that unnerving gaze.
“You’re better off this way,” Rei added, her tone almost gentle. “You’re ours, Y/N. And we take care of what’s ours.”
Your chest felt tight as you looked between them, their words sinking into your skin like poison.
You didn’t know what scared you more—their obsession or the fact that, deep down, a part of you was starting to believe them.
Because no matter how much you tried to resist, to escape their grasp, there was no denying the truth: Wonyoung and Rei had you exactly where they wanted you. Your life is theirs to torment. Forever.
And there was no way out.
*End.*

Sword Spirit AU - Xiu Ya (pt.1)
Hello hello! This is going to be a very very casual AU with the first half being dedicated to Xiu Ya(jiuyuan) and the other Xin Mo(bingyuan), so sit tight, relax, and maybe put on some Soul Eater in the background, because this is basically it.
This post is going to be VERY LONG, so sorry in advance ^^;;
Tumblr media
It's finally time for Shen Jiu to go to Wan Jian Peak and get his spiritual sword, one of the final steps for his Shizun to finally, oficially, name him Head Disciple, even if the rest of Qing Jing will most likely fight Shizun in her decision.
It would be no surprise, ever since SJ stepped foot there, rumors have been spreading about him, usually about how he only got in so late due to Yue Qi's influence, or how he paid his way in as a young master (as if the rest of the disciples hadn't done exactly that) and thinks he's better than everyone, or how he never fights fair and uses underhanded methods during spars. All rumors don't hold a drop of truth in them of course, but SJ has better things to do than trying to clean his image to a bunch of spoiled brats.
It's not like any of them would believe him, anyways.
In all honesty, he'd rather not be Head Disciple at all, but this is the best way at getting to a secure enough spot that he won't have to worry as much about his safety, even if he will be forced to look after a bunch of children he couldn't care less about. Anyways, SJ's only hope now for something to go marginally right his way is for him to get a good sword.
He gets to the sword wall and, as luck would have it, he feels a pull, calling him to a beautiful sword: elegant, refined and everything SJ desperately hopes he can be.
SJ carefully pulls the sword out of the wall and immediatelly he can feel a connection forming, his slugish qi rushing into the blade and in exchange, a flash of bright, almost refreshing qi runs through him. For a moment his muscles relax as he feels the sword gently humming in his hand.
He walks away from the wall, a few of the other disciples that also had come to retrieve their spiritual sword already holding their own blades, but the only person that SJ cares to show his own sword stands a bit further away. His ever aloof Shizun and... Yue Qi, who was not invited, but decided to come anyways. Great.
YQ wastes no time in praising his sword and how it's a perfect fit for 'Xiao-Jiu' (which only earns him a nasty side-eye), but SJ controls his urge to bite the other boy and focuses on his Shizun. She merely send the sword a glance, unimpressed, and instead says "Disciple Shen has now a spiritual blade of his own. He will get to know his blade, which will aid him with his... cultivation problems, but also raise his cultivation to new heights."
SJ grinds his teeth, not wanting to be reminded about his shitty cultivation, but thankfully, Shizun doesn't dwell on the topic. "When Disciple Shen fully becomes one with his sword, the blade will reward him and show it's true self. It is only then that Disciple Shen will become a truly honorable cultivator."
True... Self? With a subtle glance, SJ confirms even YQ looks a bit surprised, apparently also never haven heard about a swords 'true self', but Shizun doesn't ellaborate any further on it, instead moving on as if she hadn't said anything special, and turning to head back to Qing Jing, uncaring if any other disciples weren't done getting their swords yet.
She unsheathes her own spiritual sword, intending on letting her disciples walk all the way back, but before setting off, she turns towards SJ. "Disciple Shen, the name of your sword."
SJ huffs but brings his sword closer, and reads the engraving on the base of the blade. "...Xiu Ya."
Just as SJ finishes reading the name out loud, the sword starts violently vibrating, catching SJ and his Shizun off guard, and it flings itself off of SJ's hands, flying a short distance before it stabbed the ground.
SJ's hands are left hanging in the air where he once held the sword, frozen stiff in his shock. It certainly doesn't help that is Shizun, who is never phased and now looks visibly shocked, mutters to herself: "I... didn't know a sword could do that."
.........Great.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
A week after the whole... situation on Wan Jian, SJ is now convinced his spiritual sword hates him.
It just... doesn't do anything he wants it to do! If his Shizun orders him to spar with another disciple with it, Xiu Ya could randomly just fling itself out of his hand, or physically pull him in another direction when he is speaking with another disciple, and no matter how Shizun instructs him to send his qi to the blade, to 'connect' with it, Xiu Ya refuses to cooperate, one day even straight up denying his qi.
Unbeknownst to SJ, his sword is no longer a regular spiritual blade, and actually a host for a recently deceased Shen Yuan, who woke up from his sleep to his new owner pulling him out of the wall and promptly panicked when he heard his name be declared Xiu Ya, which could only mean his new owner was none other than the scum villain himself, SQQ.
It was then and there that SY decided it would be now his life's mission to stop any evil wrongdoings a teenage SQQ must get up to. (It translated to him flinging himself out of SJ's hand any time he felt himself getting too close to another disciple's skin, or vibrating angrily when SJ started to insult someone.)
SJ takes Xiu Ya to his Shizun, and even to Wan Jian's Peak Lord, to check if there's something wrong with his sword, or if he had done soemthing wrong, but both reassure him that the sword is fine, and it must be testing him, urging him to 'clear his heart' to better connect with it.
SJ, feeling like his chance at being Head Disciple is slipping through his fingers the longer he can't get a hold of his own sword, it's supposed to obey him, tends more often than not to... argue with it. It, of course, only creates more rumours about him and his 'cursed sword', but he doesn't have time for this, and he won't let a piece of metal ruin his chances at rising up the ranks.
Tumblr media
Everything starts to change one fateful day where everything just seems to go wrong all at once for SJ: His Shizun goes away in a three-day long mission, which leaves him the responsability to look after the peak, and none of the other disciples are willing to make it easy for him, constantly getting in his way, purposefully waisting his time and straight up insulting him to his face.
Yue Qi even tries to grace SJ with his presence, but it takes him no longer than 5 minutes before he manages to say the wrong thing, and it takes even less for it to snowball into SJ expelling him from the peak unless the whole Sect is set on fire. It gets so bad even SY, usually happy to mostly daydream where he sits sheathed at SJ's waist, takes note of it, and gets a bit concerned for the boy.
SY already notices SJ's spiritual veins where all sorts of messed up, but it only becomes relevant when he notices his qi heading straight towards a qi deviation, and no matter how SY tries to vibrate and wiggle, it only seems to upset SJ even further and by the end of the day, as SY suspected, SJ hides away at the bamboo house and falls to the floor, gasping through a qi deviation.
He'd usually just tough his qi deviations out, or pass them at the Warm Red Pavillion, but now he isn't even afforded the mercy of being to suffer alone, as some disciple might come looking for his 'help', and he'd be damned if someone snitched on him to Shizun for not doing his duty as (unnoficial) Head Disciple.
SY, as much as he doesn't really like SJ, for once understands SJ's constant state of frustration when the moment the Peak Lord leaves, his peers treat him like this, and no matter how shitty SJ is- or, rather, may become in the future, SY can't stand being idle as he watches the boy shaking on the floor, gasping in pain.
It's a bit awkward but SY manages to make himself float over towards SJ's trembling body, trying his best to project his own energy outward and reach towards SJ. It's there for only a second, but SY manages to feel a similar connection to when SJ first picked him up, and SY can feel, in a weird flash, the mix of emotions swirling in SJ's soul: his anger, his frustration, but most importantly his deeply rooted sadness, and fear.
It's not really an explanation for why SJ acts the way he does, but SY can understand when a child lashes out in fear when that's all they know. He reaches into SJ's qi, carefully patting it down and soothing it until SJ finally stops trembling and slumps onto the ground, knocked out.
Maybe... Maybe Shen Yuan was in the wrong, and Shen Jiu deserves a second chance.

♡⸝⸝ "bragging to your friends i get off when you hit it, i hate to tell the truth..."
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
“Stop traumatizing the kid, geez,”
Drew shouts over the table at his friend, Pete, who’s deep into the ‘climaxing’ part of his story.
Drew’s already five bottles down, his words slurring just a little as he leans back in his chair, arms crossed, trying to maintain some semblance of control over the situation.
This was just another normal hangout with his small friend group at the sports bar, except this time, they invited a first-year.
Why? Well, Drew didn’t really care. He was just here to get wasted, not to babysit a freshman.
“No- it gets good,” Pete ignores Drew’s comment, equally as drunk. He flings an arm around the first year, pulling him in with a sloppy grin, “I snuck…a lollipop up her ass.”
He bursts into laughter, and Drew shakes his head in disbelief. But the smile tugging at his lips betrays him, revealing he’s more entertained than he’s willing to admit.
Besides, this might be the most sane story Pete ever shares about his sex life.
The freshman’s uncomfortable expression goes unnoticed by the others, as the friend group spirals into fits of giggles.
“Oh wait-wait,” Pete signals them to tone it down, for him to add on, “I then popped it back in my mouth.”
Mixed reactions throughout the table; only Pete was consistently laughing.
“Dude, it probably has dew-dew on it,” one of the friends chimes in, raising an eyebrow with a smirk.
“Not the grossest thing that’s been in here,” he points to his mouth, before chuckling.
Drew reaches across the table, intent on pouring himself another cup of beer—but then, thinking better of it, he grabs the entire bottle instead, twisting the cap off.
“Enough about me,” Pete starts again, before locking eyes with Drew as he takes a sip. “Get a load of that guy.”
The table shifts their attention to Drew, who raises an eyebrow, clearly aware of the sudden focus. His lips curl into an half-assed grin, his tongue grazing over his lower lip, “my stories aren’t interesting.”
“Bullshit!” Pete slams his hand on the table, grinning wide. He leans over at the freshman, asking him, “y’know y/n?”
Even in Drew’s wasted state, the mention of your name sends a jolt through him, his chest tightening for a moment. He straightens up slightly, a flicker of awareness cutting through the haze of alcohol.
He watches the freshman’s reaction as his lips curl into a shy grin. The guy fidgets, scratching his head, “Y-yeah,” he stammers.
“Isn’t she hot?” Pete asks with a mischievous edge.
Drew’s jaw tightens, his grip on the bottle going white-knuckled. The grin on his lips drop, replaced with a tight frown.
Even in the dim light of the bar, it’s clear the freshman’s face has gone red. He hesitates for a moment, but a quick scan of the eager faces around the table pushes him to respond, “Crazily hot.”
“You’re in luck! She’s single!” Pete exclaims, but as if sensing the sudden shift in Drew’s mood, the friend group holds back their laughter.
The last time anyone even hinted at something that bold… well, it never really went that far. Usually, their banter stays light—just teasing jabs about each other’s sexual experiences or partners. But this? This feels … different.
“Aw c’mon, I’m not wrong,” Pete leans over to the freshman again, poking his chest. “Drew knows what it’s like. Got him pussy-whipped.”
The freshman, whose name the group has long since forgotten, shifts uncomfortably. His eyes widen under the intensity of Drew’s glare, probably enough to set the whole bar on fire.
“Too far, man,” someone murmurs from the table, their voice quieter than before. “This—her— is a sensitive topic for him.”
Mumbled laughter follows, but it only makes Drew furrow his brow deeper. What was he doing?
His friends were right— you are single. It's only casual with you. If he felt good, he’d hang out with you, maybe get a little closer, but nothing more.
Him getting all worked up would mean something more—and that? That’s a whole other kind of messed up.
Drew’s features soften, and he shakes his head, a faint smile creeping back onto his lips. He takes another sip—a deep one—letting the coolness of the beer settle him.
“Alright, fuck, you wanna know?” Drew chuckles, the sound low and playful, and it sets off a round of cheers and laughter around the table.
He licks his lips, his wasted mind trying to piece together memories of you. But everything blurs together. He tries to focus, but his thoughts spin, and before he knows it, random faces of other girls begin to creep in.
Shit. Was it you who he fucked in the dark theater? Or was it you that sucked him off at the back of the bus?
Drew’s eyes briefly dart to the freshman, who’s looking at him with anticipation.
In that moment, the urge to bolster his own ego swells up inside him, almost overwhelming.
It’s like a switch, and suddenly he wants to show off, to remind everyone in the room that he’s the one in control, not you.
Pussy-whipped? No, no.
“Compliment her eyes... and her pants come right off,”
The words roll off Drew’s tongue so easily, like he’s said them a thousand times before.
And for whatever reason, it’s the funniest thing anyone’s heard all night.
The freshman, wide-eyed and unsure whether to laugh along or stay quiet, looks around, clearly caught off guard by the sudden intensity of Drew’s statement.
Drew leans back, a cocky grin playing on his lips, “it gets boring sometimes- but fuck, the way she whimpers when she’s stuffed full…” he lets his sentence hang in the air, the memory of you overstimulated with his cock replaying in his mind.
His wasted state shows no sign of guilt, and he continues to blurt out whatever pops into his mind about you. The others listen, some with smirks, others with raised eyebrows, but Drew doesn’t care.
He’s lost in his own confidence, his ego inflated with every word.
And as the night goes on, the stories the group shares just get more unfiltered, fueled by the alcohol in their veins.
——
The sunglasses Drew wears isn’t enough to hide how hungover he is.
Moreover, he recalls nothing of last night, specifically after his third bottle.
As he stumbles down the endless rows of bookshelves, he struggles to keep his eyes open, scanning the aisles in search of you.
Drew brushes off the attention he draws, too overwhelmed by the noise of the quiet library to care.
Finally, deep into the library and at the very end of the last row of shelves, he spots you. It isn’t entirely surprising; given your odd habits when it comes to reading.
Plus, five-month casualness means knowing everything about each other, right?
Oh, and it wasn’t just you.
…Since when did you get a reading buddy?
“Hey baby,” the nickname rolls of Drew’s lips effortlessly, walking over to you.
He cuts into the conversation you’re having with the guy next to you, his presence shifting the dynamic instantly.
Drew watches as you shift uncomfortably on your feet, nervously tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “Hey you,” you force out, hands fidgeting with the book in your hands.
Drew’s lips twitch into a smile, one that feels natural compared to the awkward one you're trying to force. He leans against the bookshelf, and nods down at your book, “what you got there?”
He could’ve sworn it’s either his sunglasses or own brain- but he definitely saw you glare up at him.
“Drew, um, this is Mike,” you start, and that’s enough to snap Drew’s attention back to the guy beside you. “Mike, Drew.”
Unintentionally, he’s ignored the guy beside you. He just assumed the guy would leave right as Drew entered- plus, he couldn’t care less.
Through his sunglasses, he takes in the guy- ‘Mike’. Messy hair, baggy jeans that hang too low, a sweater, and he’s got those thick black glasses. And he’s…the same height as you.
Drew can tell right away—nothing special, and definitely not your type.
But as he gets a closer look at Mike’s baby face, something in Drew’s mind clicks.
“y’know y/n?”
“Y-yeah.”
“Isn’t she hot?”
“Crazily hot.”
Drew’s eyes narrow just slightly, landing at how close Mike is next to you, and then on the outfit you’re wearing, a lot more exposed than usual.
Okay. I see what’s going on.
It’s petty, but there’s a flicker of something possessive in him, a sudden tension he can't shake.
“You’re- Mike?” Drew asks, his voice flat as he removes his sunglasses, like it might somehow sharpen his perception.
Mike nervously scratches the back of his neck, and Drew sees the same shy grin curling up on his lips- the memories of last night slowly flooding into him.
“Yeah- um, last night was fun, thanks man.”
Drew furrows his eyebrows, and he straightens his posture again. Okay. So this definitely is the first-year from last night.
He lets out a dry chuckle, finding it amusing all the sudden.
Tapping the frame of his sunglasses to his chin, he then says, “does he, uh, like your eyes or something?”
The sudden statement catches both you and Mike off-guard. You glance at Mike, who's looking down at the floor, biting on his bottom lip.
“What- what are you talking about?” Your giggle was laced with awkwardness.
“Nothing- nothing,” Drew smirks, his voice dripping with mischief.
He can’t help but size Mike up- his blue eyes scanning all traces of flaw on the first-year.
“I think- this is my cue to leave,” Mike mutters suddenly, clearly feeling the weight of the moment. His voice is barely above a whisper, and he looks anywhere but at Drew.
Before you can say anything, Drew cuts in.
“Awww, don’t go,” he coos, the smirk on his face widening.
He reaches his arm out to drape them over your shoulders, but as soon as you feel the weight of his arm, you pull away sharply.
Drew scoffs under his breath, a quiet sound mixed with surprise and amusement.
“I’ll see you around, Mike,” you chirp, which is a contrast to the cold attitude you give to Drew.
"Yeah, see you, y/n," he mumbles, his legs clumsy as he scurries away.
Oblivious to the sour presence beside you, you giggle at the cute first-years’ flustered state. Drew, however, watches your reaction, his jaw tight with frustration.
Why are you so focused on that kid?
He leans in, planting quick kisses along your jaw, pulling your attention away from the kid. The distraction works, because you immediately drop your book, hands attempting to push him away.
“Drew- this is a library-“
“Just missed you a lot,” he murmurs against your skin, as if this reason is enough to justify being freaky in a library.
He gently presses you against the bookshelf, his presence enveloping you, leaving no space between your bodies. Your hands instinctively rest on his chest, rising and falling steadily.
You look up at him, a flicker of uncertainty flashes in your eyes, but it's overtaken by the hunger, the way your gaze lingers on his lips, daring him to close the gap.
It’s that look—the perfect mix of need and invitation—that drives him wild.
And as if it was too much, Drew takes his sunglasses and places them on your face. It comes off as a playful gesture, and seeing your confused smile, he can’t help but chuckle lowly.
You then purposely tilt the sunglasses, wearing them sideways, and the sight of it makes Drew laugh—a loud sound that ripples through the air, completely unrestrained.
Before you can react, he’s there, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck. You let out a series of soft punches on his chest, your body shaking as you try to stifle your own laughter, sending him mumbled ‘shhh’s.
“Shit,” he mumbles, his lips brushing against your skin. His laughter dies down, and he pulls away to get another look at you.
His hand comes up and fixes your sunglasses, before giving you a quick kiss.
But he decides that it isn’t enough- and holds the back of your neck to perform a deeper, more intimate kiss.
You fight back at first, but the warmth of his mouth melts you right in, your body relaxing against his.
It’s when a soft moan leaves your mouth when you harshly push him away, Drew pulling back with a sharp breath.
His expression shifts—a mix of either surprise, need, jealousy, or something else entirely. Whatever was going on in his mind, it was loud and thundering, yet all consumed with you.
“Not here, Drew,” you say softly.
There’s something about the way you’re staring up at him that makes his heart race.
“Don’t push me away,” he mutters, his voice low, almost like a growl.
“I wasn’t-“
His hand goes to wrap around your waist, which you push off too.
“Look, you’re doing it now-“
“Drew-“
He closes the distance again, bracing one arm against the bookshelf you lean on. Caging you in, his face is only a few inches apart from yours.
“God-y’know what you’re doing to me, right?” Drew asks, his words laced with impatience.
His gaze flickers down to your lips, then back up to the sunglasses, and in the silence that follows, the world seems to hold its breath.
You look straight ahead of you- as if afraid to look up.
Drew knows. He knows there’s something on your mind—something you're not saying.
And you wouldn’t be pulling away from his touch.
“C’mon, y/n,” he starts, his voice softer now, almost coaxing.
His other hand goes up, his fingertips brushing against your exposed collarbones. The way you catch your breath, a noticeable hitch in your chest, sends his mind spinning.
He likes the effect he has on you. Controlling you- holding you right on the edge between resistance and surrender.
It’s a power that excites him, the way you can’t seem to stop yourself from reacting, no matter how hard you try to keep your cool.
“What’s going on?” Drew asks, fingertips continuing the drawing against your skin.
When you finally tilt your head up at him, a small smile spreads on his face.
“Nothing- nothing,” you reply softly.
He raises an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced.
But then you take his hand away from your collarbones, and drag them down the line of your stomach.
Drew’s eyes follow the movement, his lips parted in curiosity as you guide his hand lower.
Just as you reach the top of your miniskirt, Drew lays his palm flat down against the fabric, feeling- or stopping, right there.
You’re doing it again- distracting, seducing him to avoid the topic.
But… why would he even care?
His smirk says it all- he’s into it, and he’s not going to pull away. His thoughts slither away, now replaced with the lust building inside him.
“You freaky bitch,”
He mutters, his tone teasing, not at all insulting.
You chuckle lightly, as Drew’s hand drops lower, vanishing under your skirt. Your breath hitches when you feel him cupping your warmth over the underwear, his knee buckling to force your legs apart.
He looks over his shoulder- as if expecting someone to walk by.
No one does—just the quiet back of the library, tucked away from prying eyes.
“Babe,” he leans into you again, lips brushing your ear, “gotta keep it down, ‘kay?”
He nibbles down on the skin just below, his tongue moving in sloppy patterns.
At the same time, the hand under your skirt yanks your underwear to the side, fingertips coming in contact with your clit.
You bite down harshly on your lower lip, suppressing the moan that threatens to ripple out. He rubs soft circles on your pussy, playing with the wetness that pools.
“Fuck,” he whimpers quietly, moving onto kissing the skin on your neck.
On purpose, he sucks harder on your sweet spots, and you immediately arch your back, arms wrapping around his shoulders to pull him closer.
And then you feel it; two fingers entering you.
“Oh god-“ you let out, your breaths becoming uneven.
He starts moving at an agonizingly slow pace, each shift dragging your orgasm further away.
Slightly frustrated, you lean back onto the bookshelf, eyes narrowing at Drew whose focused with dragging his lips further down your cleavage.
But just as his mouth slips beneath the fabric, a sharp tug on his hair pulls him back.
The lazy gaze in his eyes meets yours- and behind the sunglasses, you’ve got a desperate plea in them.
A smile creeps onto his lips as he can sense how impatient you are, and it builds to the dent in his own pants.
“Faster,” you breathe out, almost like an order.
Listening, he slips another digit into you, and thrusts in a much faster pace.
It nearly knocks the wind out of you, your hands dropping back to his shoulders. Your nails dig into the muscles there, the grip instinctive, as your body tenses from the unexpected surge of sensation.
“Fuck,” you moan out, a bit louder than intended.
Drew immediately lets out a throaty chuckle, his eyes glinting with amusement. He leans back beside your ear, ”tryna get us caught?”
You bite down on your lip again, trying to stifle the sounds that threaten to escape.
With each push to your pussy, you could feel the tension boil up.
The bookshelf behind trembles as well, the books rattling gently along with the muffled groans you and Drew both produce.
Drew works hard with his digits, curling them inward to the irresistible spot he’s become familiar with, one that’s bound to send you over the edge.
He knows he’s got it when another moan escapes you, grinning devilishly against the side of your neck.
“You like that, baby?” he murmurs, his breath warm against your skin.
And when you clench around him, both of you know you’re close, the pleasure in your lower stomach ready to burst out.
“Drew,” you quietly call out, your hands moving up to thread through his hair.
No matter how many times he’s heard you moan his name, it’ll always get him going, fueling him in ways you wouldn't expect.
And he tells you just that- how much he likes your voice, body, manners, everything- through his mouth to yours.
His tongue fights with yours as it enters, a raw, passionate kiss that only Drew performs when he’s with you.
It sends him into further frenzy when your hips buckle, the string in your stomach snapping. His pumps slow down as your cum coats his hand, the warmth of it not as strong as the one radiating from your lips.
Drew’s got you whimpering, breath shaky as you struggle to keep up with his kiss.
He smiles against your lips, amused by how hard you’re trying.
Then, he pulls away, along with the digits in you, the pop sound practically echoing through the quiet halls of the library.
With Drew’s other hand that was caging you in, he reaches for your sunglasses, pushing them up, away from your eyes.
Shit. He could’ve easily nutted right there, staring at your ‘fucked-up’ gaze.
It’s silent for a moment, both of you calming down, eyes locked, flickering with unspoken energy.
Aw, shit. You really have the most beautiful eyes.
You let out a giggle between shallow breaths, one that pulls Drew’s focus back to who and where he is.
“These books are grilling my back,”
Your honest comment causes laughter to ripple through Drew, his chest vibrating against yours.
“Ugh, poor thing,” he coos gently, his voice dripping with mock sympathy, which earns a light push on his shoulder. His smile only grows wider, "bring a pillow next time.”
The way your cheeks redden up makes it even more fun for Drew.
“No- no, Starkey,” you stammer.
He didn’t even realize his hand was still resting underneath your skirt until you brushed it off, quickly fixing your clothes.
He watches as your eyes land on his soaked hand, the one that drips with your juice. It’s the same flustered and embarrassed look again- and he smiles cutely at your reaction.
“Shit- I don’t have a tissue-“
Drew didn’t know why he did it- but he sticks it into his mouth, lips wrapping around his digits.
Your eyes widen at the action, lips slightly parted.
Oh- yeah, that’s why he did it, to get another reaction out of you.
“Ew- Drew-“
“Nothing I haven’t done before,” he mumbles against his fingers, sucking gently.
It’s sweet- a weird way to describe someone’s orgasm but to Drew, he likes the way you taste.
He pulls it out, a thin string of saliva clinging to his fingers. He brings it closer to your face, and you instinctively cock your head away. “Drew! That’s disgusting-“
He laughs again, dropping his hand and wiping it against the bottom of his shirt.
“Why would you do that?” you ask, giggling lightly.
However, before Drew could respond, you take the sunglasses off, thrusting it into his chest.
He catches it, his hand brushing against yours.
“Here, your stupid sunglasses,” you insult, which sounds flirtier than intended.
“They look better on you,” he replies, his tone softer now, a compliment that slips easily out of his mouth.
Drew watches as you tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, your eyes darting away. It’s either you’re flustered, or not buying it—he can’t quite tell, but the uncertainty only seems to make him more intrigued.
“I wanna get out of here,” you say instead.
“Sure,” he immediately agrees, stepping away from the bookshelf. Assuming you’re heading back to his room, he adds, “my roommate’s out.”
“Oh,” your shoulders slump, “I’ve got class though.”
“No you don’t,” he retorts instantly, a teasing smirk tugging at his lips.
You chuckle, rolling your eyes, the gesture making it clear that, yes, it was an obvious lie.
But c’mon, give Drew some credit—casually together for more than five months, he knows everything about you, including when you’re full of it.
He wraps an arm around your shoulders, hugging you close as you two walk out the library.
It’s always a sweet moment for Drew, blissfully unaware of the weight you carry inside, forever scarred by this so-called ‘casual’ thing.
——
Moments before
“Y/n?”
You look up from your book, towards the source.
It’s Mike, the first-year. The one you were assigned to give a campus tour to, and also the guy from your class.
“Hey,” you greet, a polite smile on your lips.
There’s no doubt you’re wondering how he found you, especially since this is the library, and you're tucked away in the furthest section.
He quickly explains, “um, you mentioned yesterday you liked reading, so I just assumed…”
His words trail off awkwardly, and you nod, “I do like a quiet corner,” you reply, trying to ease the tension.
“Yeah, yeah, um, that’s cool,” he mumbles, the corner of his lips curling up, “but actually, there’s something I need to tell you.”
At that, your brow furrows slightly, a flicker of curiosity in your eyes.
“Y’know Drew? The tall guy- with the blue eyes.”
You wonder where this is going, and your face reflects that uncertainty.
“I was at the bar with him last night,” Mike’s voice almost drops to a whisper, “um, he-he’s not the nicest dude, y/n.”
Oh?
Oh.
This isn't the first time you've heard something like this. Drew's tendency to talk behind your back, to show a side of him that doesn't match what you see in private... it stings, but it also feels strangely familiar.
A flash of disappointment crosses your face before you can mask it, and you quickly look away from him.
“You wanna tell me something new?” you say, a teasing grin forming as you nudge him lightly with your elbow.
It’s a lame attempt to keep things light, and it catches Mike off-guard.
He blinks for a moment, “sorry, I didn’t mean to—uh, I just thought you should know." He scratches the back of his neck, "I didn’t mean to come off rude.”
“It’s okay,” you reply, with a casual shrug, “not like I’m dating him or anything.”
The words feel weird leaving your mouth, even though it’s clearly understood with Drew that it’s purely casual.
“Really? You’re single?”
Your eyes narrow as you study Mike’s facial expressions- “yeah.”
“Then, actually,” you watch the blush creep up on his face, “there’s something else I need to tell you- something new, that you don’t know.”
You stay quiet, your gaze steady as you wait for him to continue.
His nervous fidgeting fills the brief silence before he finally blurts out, “I was wondering if… you want to go out sometime? Like, on a date?”
You can’t say you’re surprised- all this nervous energy Mike has around you has to be because of something, right?
You want to say yes, but in the back of your mind, Drew appears.
The thought of him makes your chest tighten, the casual thing you’ve got with him flashing in your mind. It feels wrong, somehow, to be dating other people.
But with his pleading eyes staring into yours, you couldn’t help it.
You nod, a tight smile on your lips, “okay, sure, I would love to, Mike.”
His hand comes up in an attempt to wipe the smile off his lips, but it's no use; the grin only grows brighter. He clearly wasn’t expecting you to say yes.
He stares into your eyes for a moment, his gaze softening, almost mesmerized.
“Your eyes,” he says quietly, a genuine smile spreading across his face, “they’re incredible. Like, really beautiful.”
There’s a warmth in his voice, something more than just admiration, as if he’s truly captivated by the way they shine.
The sudden compliment feels almost too much, especially coming from him. You quickly mask the surprise with a soft giggle, shrugging it off as if it’s no big deal.
“Thanks,” you say, your voice light, though the warmth in your cheeks betrays you.
Just as Mike parts his lips to say something, a distraction occurs.
“Hey, baby.”
Shit.
The familiar voice makes your stomach drop, and you turn to see Drew standing beside you. He’s got sunglasses on, the kind he only wears when he's nursing a hangover.
“Hey you,” you force out, feeling uncomfortable with Mike standing right there, the weight of your promise hanging in the air.
You tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, fidgeting on your feet.
You hate it- hate this situation, Drew, and mostly yourself.
Casual, casual, casual, you repeat like a mantra in your mind, trying to push the feelings aside.
But the more you repeat it, the less it feels like the truth. You can’t help but wonder where this is going—or if it’s already gone too far.

Y'all were eating up my Simon x civilian cleaner drabble, so I decided to add some more on it!
Previous Part Next Part Series Masterlist
In the last one I said that you just accept him following you around like a creep because he gives you scary dog privileges, but that wasn't an immediate thing.
Early on when you first caught his attention there were many young cadets that had the unfortunate timing of trying to flirt with you when he'd show up for his daily fix.
Safe to say those poor cadets would end up running laps until they were sick.
One had the nerve to try and get your number while Simon was watching and he became the volunteer (victim) for Simon's next hand to hand combat training dimenstration.
The whole thing just literally ended up as more work for you because you had to mop up the blood
He felt so bad :(
Never wants to make more work for you
One time, a comms tech wasn't looking where he was going and ended up bumping into you in the hall while you were sweeping and spilled his coffee all over the floor and a little on you
Literally started screaming about YOU needing to watch where YOU were going and about how you're just a cleaner and you're easily replaceable and all that.
You're biting your tongue because you need this job, but damn if the coffee soaking your shirt didn't hurt.
Simon, however, is PISSED.
How dare that little shit stain talk down to HIS bird????? And he didn't even have the decency to ask if you were okay????
Marched right over and pulled that little dickhead away from you. Made him clean up his mess and then Simon contacted his direct supervisor about the little shit making a hostile work environment and harassing civilians.
Dude got put on probation
You warm up to Ghost after that.
He may be a weird little stalker, but at least he had your back
Safe to say after that event EVERYONE on base knew to stay away from Simon's little cleaning lady unless they wanted to face his wrath.
Johnny is tickled pink by it when he finds out
Soap will hover around you now too, asking you stupid questions about your life and telling you dumb jokes while side eyeing Ghost looking like the cat that ate the canary.
Johnny is nice enough but you long for the days when you could do your work in silence.
Ghost also misses the time when you worked in silence because he's never wanted to punch Johnny in the face more than when he interrupts your guys' quality time
Now onto the kid
The first time Simon sees you go pick up the toddler from the base daycare he almost cries
Convinced you're married or have a man at home looking after you and his little fantasy shatters. He'd never seen a ring on your finger so he assumed you were single but maybe you took it off when you were at work???
He basically goes into mourning
He's in a horrible mood for a while after that and it drives the 141 a bit crazy.
He refuses to go watch you after that, because he doesn't wanna step on any toes but he misses you :(
You notice the absence and honesty kind of miss your shadow :(
Johnny finally can't take it and casually asks one day if you got a mister at home
You say no and explain that you take care of your sisters kid.
Johnny basically skips to Simon to give him the good news.
After that your shadow is back and he's even moved a bit closer to you.
You're happy to see him back honestly
Meanwhile Simon is thinking of all the ways he can sweep you off your feet. His poor bird has so much going on in her personal life, he needs to take care of her.
Starts leaving little treats in your locker
You know who they're from

my keys hit the floor with a dulled clang. The thing had come back.
on and off for about two weeks, the thing had shown up in various places around Gerald's property. Sometimes it moved while Gerald watched. Sometimes it stayed still. Sometimes it was looking at Gerald, sometimes not. But it was always silent, and it had never brought a bag of doughnuts before.
"did you... take this from someone?"
Silence.
Gerald, knowing by now the creature wasnt too interested in hurting him but feeling anxious all the same, shuffled towards the bag, careful to keep himself faced so he could bolt the other way.
When he met the bag, it was behind him. he fumbled to reach around himself while the thing just stared with its two tiny beads that must have been eyes.
After finding a grip on the bag and swinging it around to his front, he peered inside for just an instant. he let persistence of vision tell him what was inside, but when his brain just said 'regular doughnuts' in response, he had to look back down.
The smell hit him that exact moment. They were fresh, and Very good-looking.
"I-is this for me? Are you-" he pointed at the thing for emphasis, "giving this-" then the bag, "to me?" then he pointed at himself.
Silence. No movement.
He put the bag down carefully on the counter and after several moments where nothing happened at all, he began inching back out of the kitchen. He noticed his keys and knelt to grab them. Then after many agonizing moments, he stood in the doorway feeling something slowly approaching safety.
Then too loudly, he declared "IM GOING TO LEAVE."
Silence.
"If it isnt too much to ask, I would very much like to have my house empty when I come back. Ive had a long day of work, you see. I would like to sleep. Alone. In an empty house."
Silence.
He scuttered through his living room and out the front door, and he must have gone back five times to lock and unlock the door, one time even leaving it ajar. He didnt know how else to encourage the thing to leave. Eventually, he decided to leave it unlocked and just barely ajar.
The drive to the store felt like a slow unwinding of tension. He knew he'd have to wait several hours for it to leave. Waiting and hoping usually ended up being sufficient. When he got to the convenience store, he could tell the attendant noticed he was shaken. He gave the girl a quick nod and a smile. She looked at him with minor disdain and confusion. Typical teenagers, he assured himself.
He focused on what treats he'd get himself to reward himself for being so brave. You have to do that, he told himself. Otherwise the world is just one sadness after another until you're dead. He eventually decided on a couple candy bars, a thing of good beef jerky, and a chocolate milk.
Just as he was grabbing the milk, he heard a door far on the other side of the store slam. He jumped, but figured he'd about it ask when he got up to the counter. Sure enough, the counter was completely vacant when he got up there. He looked around after a few moments, imagining that the teen had probably gone to restock something. He looked at her security camera screen to help himself out, but as he was doing so, his mind's eye noticed something over the top of the screen.
He focused in, and found himself starring out the windows of the store directly at where he'd parked his car. There the thing stood next to the passenger side of the car's hood. And on the hood; that same bag of doughnuts.

toxic till the end — yu jimin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis. karina is the kind of girl everyone knows—confident, popular, and always the best-dressed. when you get paired with her for a school project, you're shocked, but things only get worse when she starts showing her toxic side.
pairing. toxic & rich!meangirl!jimin x loser(?)! skater!reader
warnings. toxic relationship (manipulation, physical violence, aggressive language, jealousy) sexual content, and let me know if there’s more. time skips/rushed so i didn’t turn this into a full fic
words. 5.8k
authors note. i’m always making reader a loser because im projecting sorry. this is also HEAVILY based on the music video
Tumblr media
you know karina. everyone does. she's the kind of girl who owns every room she walks into. her flawless skin, the designer clothes, and the air of absolute certainty that follows her everywhere—she's untouchable. it doesn't matter whether it's school, the mall, or some exclusive party in the city. karina is always the best-dressed, the most confident, the one everyone wants to be around. she has everything—the best grades, the richest friends, and a mansion that could probably fit your entire apartment.
but you've never been part of her world. not by a long shot.
so when the teacher announces the project pairings, you half-expect to be stuck with someone you barely know. but the name you hear makes your stomach twist for a second—karina. you blink and glance around the room, but sure enough, she's looking at her phone like it's the only thing that matters. her eyes don't even leave the screen as the teacher explains the assignment, and when she does glance up, it's just long enough to give a faint nod.
yunjin, your best friend, glances at you with a sympathetic look, but all you can do is shrug in response.
the first time you try talking to her about the project, she's half-listening. you're sitting at the library table, and karina's doodling on the edge of her notebook, looking at her phone again. you make a suggestion about the research, but she just shrugs.
"sure, whatever. i'm good with whatever you want to do." she mutters, glancing back down at her phone. you bite your lip, trying to think of another way to get her attention. you push a little harder, trying to make this work, "you sure? it's a group project, we both have to decide."
karina just gives you that look—one that says, i don't care what you say, because the outcome is the same.
you pause, trying to gauge her reaction, but karina's already back to scrolling through her feed, the sound of her phone clicking lightly in the background. you're not sure if you should push any further. it's clear she's not invested in this—in you—and that stings more than you want to admit.
"okay, then..." you say, forcing a smile that doesn't quite reach your eyes. "we'll just go with whatever you think is best."
karina doesn't even look up when she replies. "yeah, exactly."
Tumblr media
the rain catches you off guard the next day. you didn't bring an umbrella, and now you're standing near the campus entrance, your skateboard tucked under your arm, waiting for the rain to let up. you're not in a rush to get home—mostly because you know it'll be a long, dull evening. your roommates will probably be out partying or something. and without yunjin, you feel like the odd one out.
so you stand there, letting the rain soak through your jacket as you watch everyone else scramble for shelter.
then, out of nowhere, you hear the hum of an engine. karina's sleek car pulls up, its tinted windows glinting in the rain. for a moment, you think she's going to ignore you, like she does every other time. but instead, she rolls down the window, her face leaning out slightly.
"get in," karina commands, her voice cool and smooth, like she doesn't really care one way or another.
you blink, a little thrown off by the offer. "what?"
it takes you a moment to process her words, and she looks a little impatient when she repeats herself. "get in the car. it's raining."
"um, thanks. but i'm fine, really," you stammer, trying to smile and hoping she doesn't notice the nervousness in your voice.
but karina just raises an eyebrow, like you've said the most ridiculous thing in the world.
"don't be stupid," she says, a little too loudly, her tone a little too harsh. you glance down, and your cheeks burn in embarrassment. karina doesn't strike you as the type to offer rides to just anyone. but then again, you're not anyone, are you? you're her partner for the project. you're technically part of her world for the moment, no matter how temporary that might be.
with a reluctant sigh, you climb into the car. the door shuts with a soft thud, and you find yourself in the passenger seat, a little too close to her than you expected.
the inside of her car smells faintly of vanilla. she's wearing a floral perfume that reminds you of the spring, the kind of scent that leaves you a little breathless, a little giddy, and a little too happy.
she's not even looking at you, and that's probably a good thing.
you clear your throat, trying to ignore the heat in your face.
"uh...where are we going?" you ask, not sure if you should say something else. the air feels awkward between you two, still heavy from the silence of your earlier encounters.
karina glances at you for a moment before turning back to the road, her eyes fixed on the street ahead. "to my place. we still need to finish the project, right?"
karina's house is nothing short of a mansion. it stands in the middle of a large estate, with a pristine garden and a driveway that looks longer than your entire block. you can't help but feel small as you step out of the car, your skateboard tucked under your arm like a prop rather than something you actually use.
"you can leave your skateboard in the garage," karina says as she leads you into her house. "we'll be in my office."
the room is much like the rest of her house—everything pristine, clean, and far more impressive than anything you've ever had. she's already seated at a desk, pulling up the files for your project, while you stand awkwardly by the door, unsure of where to sit.
"you're... sure this is fine?" you ask, glancing at the luxurious surroundings. "i don't want to get in the way."
karina barely looks up from her computer. "you're not in the way," she says dismissively, clicking through some documents. "just sit down."
you do as she says, taking a seat next to her. as she leans forward, you catch a glimpse of her profile, the line of her neck and jaw, the way her lips curve into a frown when she's deep in thought. she's beautiful, you realize. she's more than beautiful. she's almost...
...perfect.
"you're staring," karina says, looking up at you, her dark eyes fixed on yours. you feel a flicker of panic, not sure what to say. "i...sorry," you stammer, not sure why the word comes out like that. you didn't mean to stare. but karina doesn't look bothered, her face expressionless.
the project progresses in silence for a while. karina occasionally makes a comment or offers a suggestion, but it's clear she's not too invested. you do most of the work, but there's a strange satisfaction in seeing her just there, even if she's not really participating. it's enough to be with her, you think. to spend a few hours in her company, even if she's not paying attention.
by the time the sun begins to set, you're both sprawled out on the floor with the project almost done, the laptop and a few papers strewn around you. you didn't expect to get this much done, and you didn't expect karina to actually stay with you the entire time, even if she was working on her own stuff.
but it's karina who breaks the silence, "do you want to take a break?"
you blink, a little surprised. you've been so focused on the project that you hadn't even thought about taking a break. but now that karina's mentioned it, you realize how much your shoulders ache and how stiff your back is from sitting on the floor for hours.
"uh, sure," you say, trying to sound casual. you sit up, stretching your arms above your head, wincing a little as your muscles protest.
suddenly, you're outside laughing as you both run around karina's expansive yard. you don't even know what it was that started the game of running around her massive yard, laughing as you dodged between trees and jumped over flower beds. the estate was almost overwhelming, the grass so perfectly green and the gardens so lush and well-maintained, but somehow, it was comforting, too.
you're not sure how long you play for, but it feels like a lifetime. karina is faster than you, and her legs carry her across the yard effortlessly. she's light on her feet, almost catlike in the way she moves, and the sunlight catches her dark hair and turns it golden.
when you finally stop, both of you panting and laughing, she sits on the edge of a large ornamental fountain, and you follow, dropping down next to her. it's quiet for a moment—only the sound of your laughter dying down and the trickle of the fountain.
karina looks at you, her eyes meeting yours. there's something about the way she's looking at you, something that makes your heart race and your stomach do flip-flops.
"you're pretty when you smile," she says.
then, in a blink, before you can react, she shoves you into the fountain. cold water splashes up in all directions, drenching you from head to toe. you let out an indignant gasp, but it quickly dissolves into uncontrollable laughter as you sputter, trying to catch your breath between fits of giggles.
"oops," karina says, looking far too pleased with herself, her hand covering her mouth. "my bad."
you wipe water from your eyes, trying to make it look like you're annoyed, but your smile betrays you. "yeah, sure. 'oops.'"
karina bursts into more laughter, the sound high and sweet. it's the most beautiful sound you've ever heard, and for a moment, you forget that you're soaked. you forget about the project and the fact that you'll have to go home later. all you can focus on is the way karina's blonde hair falls over her shoulders, and the way her smile reaches her eyes, making them shine like stars.
you can't help but stare, transfixed.
she's perfect, you think. perfect and untouchable.
karina stands up, "come on, before you freeze to death." she holds out her hand. you hesitate for a moment, but eventually, your fingers close around hers, and you pull yourself up. she doesn't let go. not even when the two of you are standing side by side, her hand still in yours.
you're not really sure what room you're in now, only that it's not the office anymore. you don't care enough to figure it out, either. the lights are dim, the fireplace crackles softly in the corner, and karina is sitting in your lap. she's holding a towel, gently brushing it over your damp hair to help dry it. her hands move slowly, the motion almost hypnotic. you don't even bother resisting the urge to lean into her touch, her body pressed against yours.
"you should come here more often," she says, her voice low. "it's fun."
she's so close, you can smell her vanilla perfume again. it's intoxicating.
"it is," you murmur, and her eyes flicker up to yours, a smirk on her face.
"i'm glad you agree."
"we should probably finish the project," you say, though it sounds half-hearted even to you.
"maybe later," she says softly, leaning closer. her face is so close to yours now that you can feel the warmth of her breath. she hesitates for just a moment before her lips brush lightly against yours.
your breath catches, and for a second, you're frozen.
you weren't sure what to expect, but the simple touch of her lips leaves you wanting more. her eyes flicker up to yours briefly, searching your face, almost like she's asking if it's okay to keep going. without thinking, you lean forward just enough to close the gap again.
she sighs into your mouth, her hands coming up to cup your face, her fingertips brushing along your jaw. the towel falls away, forgotten, and her arms wrap around your shoulders, pulling you closer. your hands find her waist, tracing up the curve of her spine and the back of her neck.
you're not sure how long the kiss lasts, only that by the time you pull away, your lungs are burning and your head is spinning.
she's smiling, a real smile this time, her eyes bright and her cheeks flushed.
"you're blushing," she whispers, tracing her thumb along the line of your jaw.
"i am not," you protest weakly.
"mhm." karina leans in again, her nose brushing against yours.
Tumblr media
"are you going to eat that?"
yunjin's voice snaps you out of your thoughts. you blink and realize you're sitting at the table now, a cookie sitting on the plate in front of you.
"hm?"
she points at the cookie. "that. are you gonna eat it?"
"oh," you mutter, realizing you must've been staring at it while lost in thought. "oh, no you can have it jen."
she grabs it, takes a bite, and gives you a weird look. "hey, are you okay? you're kinda spacing out."
"i'm fine, really," you say, taking a sip of tea, though your thoughts are miles away. karina lingers in your mind, no matter how hard you try to shake her. it's been days since your first kiss—though there have been others since. it felt like you were finally starting to get somewhere with karina. and maybe, just maybe, you were actually a little important to her, too.
yunjin eyes you suspiciously, clearly unconvinced, but she lets it slide. she takes another bite of the cookie and changes the subject, just as chaewon slides into the seat next to you.
"ugh, what are you doing with these?" chaewon huffs, leaning in and inspecting your eyebrows like she's some kind of aesthetician. she licks her finger then starts brushing them with her thumb.
"chaewon," you groan, swatting her away. "stop. you're embarrassing me."
"embarrassing you?" she scoffs, rubbing at some invisible flaw on your face. "i'm fixing you, trust me. if anyone's embarrassing you, it's yourself."
yunjin snickers as chaewon wipes a crumb off the corner of your mouth, ignoring your exaggerated protests. "see? better already," chaewon says, looking pleased with herself.
you roll your eyes dramatically but can't help the tiny grin tugging at your lips. she's annoying, sure, but she's like the older sister you never had. it's hard to stay mad when she means well.
before you can shoot back a sarcastic comment, movement across the room catches your eye. karina walks by with her group of friends, laughing about something you can't hear. you straighten in your seat, your heart racing without permission.
"karina!" you call out, raising a hand to get her attention. "hey! come meet my friends!"
your voice echoes just enough to make a few people glance your way, but karina doesn't even spare you a look. she keeps walking, her laughter ringing out as if she didn't hear you—or worse, as if she didn't care.
the table goes quiet. you can feel yunjin and chaewon watching you, but you refuse to meet their eyes, staring instead at the empty space where karina just was. you feel your face heat up, and suddenly, you wish the ground would swallow you whole.
"ouch," yunjin mutters under her breath, giving a low whistle. "harsh."
you swallow thickly, the sinking feeling in your stomach growing stronger by the second.
"it's fine," you say, forcing a smile.
"uh, i still wanted to show you that trick i was talking about earlier." you try to shift the focus away from the embarrassment still burning in your chest, but your voice wavers slightly. yunjin and chaewon exchange a quick glance, their concern evident despite their best attempts to hide it.
"trick?" chaewon perks up, "what trick?"
you hesitate, glancing at her and then down at your lap. "just something i've been practicing on my board."
"why didn't you mention this sooner?" chaewon leans forward, resting her elbows on the table, "c'mon, show us! i've been dying to see you pull off something cool."
"but uh, yeah, about that..." you scratch the back of your neck. "i don't have my board with me. so, i can't."
yunjin, who had been quietly finishing her cookie, perks up. "you can use mine!" she says brightly, already digging into her bag. "i brought it with me."
"are you sure?" you ask, a little surprised by the offer. you know she doesn't like anyone touching her skateboard. "i don't want to—"
"it's fine," she assures, waving a hand dismissively. "just show us."
the three of you head outside, and yunjin pulls out her skateboard, handing it to you. it's a little smaller than yours, but it feels sturdy enough. after testing the balance and grip, you roll it forward, nodding with approval. a few minutes later, you nail the trick with ease, a grin spreading across your face as you hold out the board.
"that was awesome!" chaewon squeals, practically bouncing with excitement.
"told you it was cool," yunjin says with a satisfied grin.
"yeah, it was," you reply, grinning wider. "thanks, guys."
you spend the next hour hanging out with them, laughing and joking about nothing in particular. by the time the bell rings, you feel lighter, ready to head home and unwind for the day. as you're saying your goodbyes, a familiar luxury car pulls into the schools parking lot.
the window rolls down, and karina peers out, her gaze locking onto you. "get in," she calls, and it doesn't sound like a question.
"i'm good," you say, shifting your bag onto your shoulder. "i'll walk."
"get in the fucking car," she repeats, louder this time, and there's something in her tone that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. she glances at your friends before turning back to you, her eyes dark and intense. "or are you too cool to hang out with me now?"
you freeze. yunjin and chaewon exchange a quick look, and suddenly, you're painfully aware that they're witnessing this. karina's gaze never wavers, her lips pressed into a thin line and her brow furrowed. for a moment, you think she might just drive off and leave you standing there.
"okay, fine," you relent, opening the door and climbing into the car. as soon as you're inside, karina speeds off, the tires screeching slightly as she takes a sharp turn. the ride is silent. neither of you speaks. then you notice the car heading in the opposite direction of your house.
"where are we going?" you ask, breaking the silence.
karina doesn't answer, her knuckles white as she grips the steering wheel. her jaw is set, and you can feel the tension radiating from her. you try again, "seriously, where are we—"
"just shut up," she snaps, "please."
"karina—"
"god," she mutters, running a hand through her hair. "you're so annoying."
the words hit you harder than expected, and you flinch, your eyes widening. she's never spoken to you like this before. not ever. "i'm annoying?"
she glances over at you briefly, her eyes narrowed. "yes. you are."
"why?" you ask, genuinely confused. "because i didn't get in your car right away?"
"yes!" karina exclaims, her voice rising in frustration. "exactly!"
you stare at her, taken aback by her reaction along with her response. a million questions race through your head, and you're not sure which one to ask first. karina turns back to the road, and you can tell she's holding back, biting her lip to stop herself from saying something she might regret.
"why do you even care? i was having fun with my friends. why can't you just leave me alone?"
"i don't care," karina spits out, her words sharp and venomous.
"bullshit," you scoff.
"oh, really?" karina raises an eyebrow. the car suddenly stopping in the middle of the road. "fine, then. go be with your friends. see if i care."
your body jerks at the sudden stop, and you grip the seatbelt tightly, your heart hammering in your chest. there's no way she can be serious.
"you're not serious," you mutter, "you're the one who ignored me in the middle of the dining hall. in front of everyone."
karina remains silent, her gaze fixed firmly on the road ahead. the car moves forward again, a little slower this time, and the silence hangs heavily between you. you can't believe she's acting like this.
"just turn around and take me home," you demand.
"no."
"why not?"
"your board's at my place," she says, cutting you off before you can protest. "don't you want it back?"
"i don't need it."
"yeah, you do," she responds, her tone matter-of-fact. "you can't do your stupid little tricks without it."
the word stings. "it's not stupid."
"sure," she scoffs, rolling her eyes. "it's not stupid. but it is pointless. and a waste of time."
you swallow hard, your throat dry. you don't know what to say, so you just stare out the window, trying to blink back the tears forming in your eyes. this is a new low, even for karina.
when she parks in front of her house, you unbuckle your seatbelt and step out, waiting by the door while she heads inside. a few moments later, she returns, handing you your board. you take it, inspecting it absentmindedly as karina leans against the doorframe, watching you.
"you never showed me that trick," she says suddenly, her voice softer now.
"yeah, well," you mutter, turning away. "there's a reason for that."
"show me now," she insists, nodding toward the driveway.
you sigh, glancing down at the skateboard. "karina—"
"c'mon, please."
you shake your head, still not meeting her gaze. "forget it."
"it won't take long," she presses, her eyes pleading. "i just wanna see it once."
"why? so you can make fun of me?"
"no," she insists, stepping closer. "i won't. i promise."
without really knowing why, you give in. you roll the board forward and step onto it carefully. as soon as you shift your weight, the board wobbles unnaturally, and before you can react, the screws give way, sending you sprawling onto the ground. pain shoots through your palms and knees as you catch yourself, the board clattering a few feet away.
karina is by your side in an instant, crouching down and reaching for you. "are you okay?" she asks, her voice laced with concern.
you sit up slowly, grimacing as pain radiates from your arm. your other hand instinctively cradles it, and you notice the sharp throb in your wrist, which is already starting to swell.
"shit," you hiss through clenched teeth, trying to move your fingers but finding it difficult.
"let me see," karina says, her voice soft yet urgent. she reaches for your arm, but you flinch, pulling it back.
"i'm fine," you snap, more out of frustration than anger. the pain and embarrassment are making it hard to think clearly.
"you're not fine," karina counters, her eyes darting between your face and your arm. "we need to get you to a hospital."
"i said i'm fine," you repeat stubbornly, though you know she's right. the pain is getting worse by the second, and you're starting to feel a little lightheaded.
karina sighs, standing up and brushing off her hands. "get in the car," she says firmly, leaving no room for argument.
you don't have the energy to fight her this time. carefully, you push yourself to your feet, wincing as the movement jostles your injured arm. karina is at your side instantly, steadying you with a hand on your back. you want to tell her you don't need her help, but the words die on your tongue.
the ride to the hospital is silent, the tension between you thick and suffocating. karina's grip on the steering wheel is tight, her knuckles white again, but this time her jaw isn't set in anger. instead, she looks... worried. the sight of her like this makes your chest ache in a way that has nothing to do with your arm.
when you arrive at the emergency room, karina parks hastily and helps you inside. the next hour passes in a blur of x-rays, ice packs, and medical jargon. the doctor confirms it's a bad sprain, not a break, and your arm is wrapped in a snug bandage to immobilize it. you're given a sling to wear for the next few weeks and a prescription for pain medication.
it's not until the two of you are cuddled up in bed, her body pressed against yours, her head resting on your shoulder, that she finally breaks the silence. "i'm sorry," she whispers, her voice barely audible. "i didn't mean to hurt you."
"i know," you murmur, reaching up with your good hand to stroke her hair gently. it's the first time she's apologized for anything.
"you're really good," she says softly, "on your board, i mean."
"oh."
"and the tricks you were talking about are cool," she adds, her eyes searching yours.
"thanks."
"i shouldn't have called them stupid."
"no," you agree, your heart aching again, but not as badly this time. "you shouldn't have."
karina nods, her gaze dropping to the sling holding your arm in place. she reaches out, running her fingers over the fabric. "does it hurt?"
"not right now," you reassure her, the painkillers kicking in.
"that's good," she sighs, her head drooping slightly.
you smile faintly, feeling exhaustion wash over you. "you should get some sleep," you suggest, knowing how little sleep she normally gets.
"you first," she mumbles, her eyes closing.
with a soft chuckle, you pull her closer and let yourself drift off.
Tumblr media
karina has been acting strange since the accident—but not in a bad way. there's a new quietness to her, a thoughtful edge that wasn't there before. sometimes, you catch her staring at you with an unreadable expression, her lips pressed together like she wants to say something but can't. every time you ask, though, she just shrugs and says, "nothing."
the two of you are back in her office, putting the finishing touches on your project. the hours stretch on, and the golden hues of the setting sun spill through the window, painting the room in soft orange and pink. the light catches on her face, highlighting her features in a way that almost makes her look angelic.
"are you sure?" you ask, tilting your head to study her.
"mhm," karina hums distractedly, turning back to her computer as though the question didn't faze her.
your phone buzzes on the table, drawing both your attention. glancing down, you see a message from yunjin:
"are you busy tonight? we're going to the skate park."
as you start to type out a reply, you notice karina's gaze flick toward your phone. this time, she doesn't bother hiding it, her eyes lingering for a moment too long. you shift uncomfortably, moving your arm in its sling to shield your screen. her eyes narrow slightly, and you see her jaw tighten.
karina studies you for a moment, her expression unreadable. then, out of nowhere, she jumps up from her seat, snatching your phone from the table.
"hey! what the hell?" you shoot up from your seat, scrambling to follow her as she storms out of the room.
"what's so important on your phone?" she snaps, holding it just out of your reach.
you frown, struggling to keep up with her as she strides down the hallway. you reach out, grasping for the device, but she dodges your attempts, easily keeping it out of your grasp. "give it back, karina," you say, exasperated.
"why? so you can text yunjin and ditch me?" she retorts, spinning on her heel to face you. "are you really that desperate to hang out with her?"
"what are you even talking about?"
karina ignores your question, turning on her heel and continuing down the hallway. she doesn't look back, and you can feel the frustration bubbling up inside you, mixing with confusion. karina's eyes flash. "don't play dumb. i see the way she looks at you."
"oh, come on. yunjin is just a friend."
"sure she is," karina scoffs, her grip on your phone tightening.
"and what about you lee jae wook? should i pretend i haven't noticed how close you two have gotten?" you suddenly mention. karina freezes, her face going pale. for a moment, she looks almost scared, but it's quickly replaced by anger, her brows knitting together.
her eyes narrow, and she takes a step closer, her voice low and dangerous. "what's that supposed to mean?"
you hold your ground, your own anger rising to meet hers. "it means i see how he looks at you, and how you look at him."
"we're just friends."
"yeah? just like you and i are friends?"
karina opens her mouth to respond, but the words die on her tongue. she hesitates, her eyes flicking away. karina looks away, her knuckles white as she grips your phone. then, as if the tension becomes too much, she turns and heads for the front door.
"where are you going?" you call after her, following her down the hallway.
"out," she says curtly, throwing open the door.
"karina, wait!" you step outside just as she rushes to her car. she fumbles with her keys, but when she tries to start the engine, the car sputters and lets out a puff of smoke.
you cross your arms, standing in the doorway. "looks like your car has other plans. just come back inside before you make things worse."
karina slams her hand against the steering wheel in frustration, her head dropping for a moment as she lets out an audible sigh. she stays there for a few seconds before grabbing your phone and storming back toward the house, her heels clicking sharply against the driveway.
"you're impossible," she mutters under her breath as she brushes past you, her shoulder lightly bumping yours.
"what is your problem, huh? you're the one who started this, stealing my phone like some kid."
she whirls around at that, her eyes blazing. "maybe if you weren't so secretive, i wouldn't have to!"
"secretive?" you laugh bitterly, stepping closer. "says the girl who's been cozying up to lee jae wook every chance she gets!"
karina's jaw clenches, her expression darkening. "i told you, there's nothing between us. why won't you believe me?"
"because," you say, the words spilling out before you can stop them. "it's clear there's something between you two. and it's not just friendship."
that's the final straw. before you can react, karina shoves you back, her hands pushing against your shoulders. you stumble, colliding with the edge of a decorative marble statue near the staircase. the wind is knocked out of you as your back hits the solid stone, the force sending a jolt of pain through your injured arm. you grit your teeth, trying not to wince, but the action is futile.
karina freezes as you collide with the marble statue, her eyes widening in shock. but the guilt that flickers across her face is gone in an instant, replaced by frustration.
"what is wrong with you?" she snaps, throwing her hands up. "why do you have to be such a bitch all the time? can't you just admit when you're wrong for once?"
your chest tightens, your heart hammering against your ribcage. the anger in her words stings, and the pain from your fall only adds fuel to the fire. you grit your teeth, pushing yourself off the statue despite the sharp ache radiating from your back. "me? you're the one pushing me into shit because your car won't start."
"because you did something to it!" she yells, pointing an accusatory finger at you.
you shrug, a smirk tugging at your lips. "can you prove that?"
karina lets out a bitter laugh, pacing a few steps before spinning to face you again. "of course it was you. i saw you on the security camera you fucking idiot, don't try and deny it. why would i hurt you when i've never done anything but take care of you?"
"take care of me?" you echo incredulously, "you think i owe you something because you let me crash at your place? is that what this is about?"
karina's eyes flash, her frustration boiling over as she throws her hands up in disbelief. "owe me something? you've got to be kidding me. this isn't about owing me—it's about the fact that i've bent over backwards for you, and this is how you repay me? by sabotaging my car and lying to my face?"
"yeah?" you fire back, stepping closer as your voice rises. "you bend over backwards? don't make me laugh, karina. i know you messed with my board. you think i wouldn't notice? the loosened trucks, the scratches that weren't there before? what, was that your idea of 'taking care of me' too?"
karina blinks repeatedly, her eyebrows furrowing together. "are you serious right now? you think i'd stoop that low? god, you're so paranoid it's pathetic."
you scoff, crossing your arms. "paranoid? you're the one who stole my phone and shoved me into a damn statue because i wouldn't let you snoop. spare me the innocent act, karina. if you wanted to screw me over, you could've at least been subtle about it."
her jaw tightens, and she takes a sharp step toward you, closing the gap. her eyes are burning, and you can feel the heat radiating off her skin as she leans closer.
"fuck you," she growls, her voice low and dangerous. "fuck you, and fuck your stupid project. i don't need you, and i don't need this."
her words hit hard, and for a second, you almost waver. then the anger returns, and you square your shoulders, meeting her gaze with just as much fury. "funny, because you sure act like you do. all this—" you gesture between the two of you, "—feels a hell of a lot like need, karina."
she recoils, her face contorting with disgust. "god, do you ever shut up?"
"why don't you make me?"
the words slip out without thinking. the air hangs heavy between the two of you, and for a moment, everything is still. then, before you can react, her hand is fisted in the front of your shirt, and she's kissing you hard. the kiss is messy and rough, a clash of teeth and tongues. karina pushes forward, shoving you back until your body collides with the wall. the impact sends a jolt of pain through your arm, but you barely notice. her mouth is hot and demanding against yours, her teeth grazing your lower lip.
your hand tangles in her hair, tugging hard enough to elicit a low groan from her. the sound spurs you on, and you grip her tighter, pulling her closer until there's no space left between the two of you.
"that's better," karina mutters against your lips, her breath warm against your skin. her hands find the hem of your shirt, slipping under the fabric. her touch is like fire, sending a wave of heat through your entire body.
"shut up," you breathe, tugging at her shirt, "and take this off."
karina smirks against your lips, pulling back just enough to look at you, her eyes dark and heavy-lidded. "bossy, aren't you?" she teases, but her hands are already moving, tugging her shirt over her head and tossing it carelessly to the floor.

A man who yearns is a man who earns
Wolfstar X fem!reader
Summary - In which Remus and Sirius quietly ( not really) yearn for the reader
Warnings : none, (delusional Sirius), shy reader I guess
A//N My first Wolfstar fic !
Word count: 1.2k
“ I want her so bad” Sirius groans softly watching as you laugh along with Lily and Marlene. Remus who had been reading had promptly stopped as he had watched his boyfriend look at the girl who they had both been crushing on as of late. You were in the same year as them, a beautiful and smart Ravenclaw who just so happened to waltz in the boys life and change them forever.
“If you keep starting at her she’ll think you’re a creep” Remus tells his boyfriend
“She’ll think about me !” Sirius gasps, Remus shakes his head at his gasp
“ You really need to stop”
“Why won’t she look at us “ Whines Sirius sitting next down next to Remus who was quick to wrap his arm around his waist and pull him closer.
“Don’t know love” He plants a kiss on his neck making Sirius shiver.
“Do you think she even knows our names” The young Gryffindor pouts.
In all honesty Y/N did know Remus and Sirius, how could she not? The famous group, the marauders. Known for pulling pranks and bringing fun to Hogwarts, it was hard to miss such a group.
Remus and Sirius especially, god were they gorgeous. Remus with his beautiful brown eyes that seemed to be lit by the sun itself, his curly hair that was always curled to perfection, his old soul which was so kind and oh Merlin’s beard was he so smart. The few classes she had with him where she would hear him answer the professors question’s correctly and even sometimes add even more information made her Ravenclaw heart swoon.
Sirius Black, oh Sirius Black. He captivated everyone’s heart. His unique grey eyes and long hair, and that smile. That Sirius Black smile. Charming is what he is, suave with his words having anyone flustered and blushing when Sirius would flirt with them. Everyone wanted him or wanted to be him. But only Remus Lupin was lucky enough to have a slice of whatever Sirius was offering but god did he want top give a piece to you.
You the beautiful creature who captured their hearts when Lily walked into the common room that fateful day. You both were working on a project for Potions. Both of them were awestruck by you. Swearing they had never seen someone as beautiful as you. They knew then and there that they wanted you, the question was how?
It seemed like any time that they wanted to see you, you were scurrying away, off to the library, your dorm or somewhere else where they could not reach you.
One time when Sirius was walking with James after heading back from quidditch practice. Then a sudden figure zoomed right past them, it was you. Sirius blinked and he turned to look at you as you left, he wanted to say something but by gods were you quick. As you turned the corner and disappearing from his sight he promptly fell to his knees.
“Come back my love PLE-“
As you had turned the corner, you stopped swearing that you had heard something
“Must of been the wind” you muttered to yourself.
It was not in fact the wind but none other than Sirius Black dramatically on his knees clutching his chest, the other hand reaching out for you.
“Mate get up this is embarrassing” James muttered
Truth is- you’re painfully shy. Having a crush on Remus Lupin and Sirius Black the it couple right next to Lily and James was painful, for so many reasons. One being the most obvious, they’re both together and you were no home wrecker. Two you could not imagine even being friends with them. They were so different from you, in a good way.
While you were more quiet and reserved, staying in your dorm to read and study. You enjoyed your me time more than anything. Parties at Hogwarts were something you rarely attended, given the fact that you didn’t drink or dance. The few times you did go was because a friend’s or Lily had dragged you. You would see both boys at these parties and they were the life of the party there was no way they would look over at you and want you, at least that’s what you’ve told yourself thus far.
It was far from the truth. Remus and Sirius both yearned for you silently or at least remus did, Sirisu was alwasy loud about those he cared about.
But enough was enough, both of them decided that they were going to get your attention one way or another.
As you exited you class, you sighed as you slinged your bag on your shoulder, the bag was heavy a reminder of all the homework you had to do.
"Ok I finish reading chapters one through twenty and then I can start my essay and give my self enough time-" you muttered to yourself but promptly stopped as your eyes landed on two figures. Remus and Sirius. Quickly and without blinking you turned your heel and began to walk the other way.
"No wait- hold on love" you heard Sirius voice as he catched up to you, now this is the one time you cursed Sirius and Remus's great hieght becasue with a couple of strides they had already caught up to you.
"Dove please" Remus said almost pleadingly. The nickname made you stop walking. The boys both next to you.
"Merlin's beard, your worse than a snitch, I don't even think James would be able to catch you" Sirius huffed in light laughter, Remus smiled soflty.
"We've been looking for you " said Remus
"You have?" you responed in a quiet voice
"yes love, for what feels like an eternity-"
"two months" Remus corrected
"felt like forver to me" huffed Sirius his lips almost pouting
"what for?" you ask
"well we wanted to ask you something actually" Remus started
"We want you so bad" blurted Sirius, now that made you completely freeze up.
"Sirius we said we were going slow" hissed Remus, swatting his partner gently on the shoulder.
"I can't- this will not be a slow burn love, I will not allow it" He shakes his head before grabbing your hand.
"Love, please we've been going crazy without you, you drive us insane and we want you in all ways possible, please let us treat you right, we won't ever hurt you and your days will be filled with love and passion-"Sirius's love declaration was cut of by his boyfriend.
"Pads you're scaring her" He says as he had been wacthing your reaction and it was all wide eyed and he wore you had stopped breathing for a moment. Sirius quickly shut up, the quickest Remus had ever seen him. After a moment of silence you finally spoke.
"You want me- you both want me ?" you sputtered finally breathing again
"Most ardently" Remus answered. You look between both boys, whom you've had been crushing onf for so long, who you had never ever in your life believed that they would ever look at you in that way but here they were. Sirius basically on his knees begging you to talk and Remus with his beautiful eyes asking, no pleading for a positive response. You drew in a deep breathe before answering.
"I want you guys too" You confess
"Praise Merlin and David Bowie she said yes Remus!" exclaimed Sirius.
"Yes I heard her love thank you" chuckled Remus who was now looking you fondly. Sirius who was still holding your hand gave it a small squeeze.
"Did you hear how Remus pulled a Mr. Darcy on you "

When I was in middle school, I went to the book fair with just a dollar because I was poor, hoping I could find something there for a dollar. And to my great delight, I actually found a book for 99 cents! It was Once Upon a Marigold. A small, unassuming paperback I didn't expect much from, but it promised fairytale vibes, which was all I needed.
I devoured that book in one sitting. I didn't usually reread many books because the way I saw it, I was already fighting a losing battle with how many books in the world I wanted to read and how many new ones got published every single day. But I ended up rereading Once Upon a Marigold. And I reread it again. And again. I felt guilty, like I had an obligation of some sort to try new things, but that didn't change how much I loved rereading this one particular book. I reread that paperback so many times that the pages eventually fanned and fluffed out. The spine wasn't broken, I took very good care of my beloved book. It had just been read so many times that it was like the pages got stuck in an eternal state of being read, the book looking three times as thick. Like how cream becomes whipped cream.
My mom noticed this book laying out one day and sat down and read it for herself, because she could tell I loved the book just by looking at it. She wasn't angry about the book, but she wasn't in love with it like I was. And something about that combined with her pointing out that she could tell I loved it by the state of the book... it made me even more self conscious about rereading it. So I tried to shock it away and not reread it again. I cracked and reread it a few times anyway, on dark nights when I needed an old friend, but I mostly tried to put it behind me. Focus on the books that everyone else was obsess with, that they understood being obsessed over (like a certain transphobic millennial phenomenon).
As an adult, I brought Once Upon a Marigold up again at one point with my husband, laughing about how kids just get randomly attached to the weirdest things, huh? And he very seriously said that if it had been that important to me, then he wanted to read it too. So, since I'd long ago lost all my belongings when I fled my childhood hone, we went to the library and checked it out. A new, hardcover copy with a different cover than the 99 cent scholastic cover I'd gotten used to. But even so, just having it around made me want to reread it again and see what my preteen self had been on about.
I bawled rereading that book with adult hindsight. It suddenly made complete sense why I loved the story about the lonely princess who no one would touch. The story that shows that when you find your best friend, your bulwark, there's nothing that can keep them away, nothing that can scare them off loving you, that they'll not only understand but love and relate to all your strange little quirks. The story that says you can go make your own happy ending for yourself if the one being pushed on you doesn't actually feel like a happy ending.
Or you are a little kid and there is some kind of vital nutrient absorption going on. I've never heard a better way of describing it. Sometimes, you just need a book to teach you a lesson that you're just not naturally getting from your environment. You might not know what it is from that book that you need so badly right now, but at least part of you knows enough. It's okay. It's okay even if that's the only book you ever read again. That's what books are there for, for us to reach out through time and space to one another, hold each other's hand and whisper,
You're not alone.
People who don't re-read books are so funny to me. "I know what happens"..?? Gurl I know what pizza tastes like, still gonna eat another one. I know what a rainbow looks like, you think that'll stop me running outside, camera in hand, to see the next one?

hidden relationship with toxic!vi!! she refuses to be near you in public. disregards you completely, berates you. grimaces at your very sight. but, behind closed doors, she shows you love like you’ve never seen it before. strap deep in your folds, holding you so close, moaning to herself when your hand wraps around her bicep. she’s fucking you sooo good and sooo deep that you almost forget how fucked up she is.
how she wants things to be private, but the second she sees you with someone else she completely loses all her composure. waiting until you venture off to the bathroom or outside for fresh air. gripping onto your neck just enough to get you scared, then placing the sweetest kiss on your lips.
or how when her countless apologies fail, she finds herself on her knees begging you to stay. promising that she’ll be better this time. maybe she’ll even hold your hand in public for a whole second! and you find it terribly difficult to resist those poor puppy eyes looking up at you. she’s so fucking pathetic, but only for you.

hiya love !! so just a little headcannon that i have is reader curled into jason’s side when watching a movie on the couch, especially in the colder months and he just realised and teases her about it :D
(currently freezing my ass off next to my broken radiator :( )
A Warm Touch
I hope your radiator got fixed!! (Hopefully, this fluff is tooth-rotting enough to warm your heart this winter)  ~900 words
Tumblr media
Jason Todd knows he runs hot. Be it summer or winter, rain or shine, he's practically a living furnace. It's just a fact, one that's never really affected him either way.
Sure, whoever joins him on whatever stakeout he's on may shift a little closer to his side and joke about him being their personal space heater once in a while, but it's not a life changing truth.
Jason Todd is warm to the touch, and that's just how it is. He's never spared it a second thought, never felt good or bad about it. That is until you come along, and now he's never been more grateful for it.
He didn't notice it at first, the way you unconsciously (or consciously) sought out his warmth on colder Gotham days. The days wind pounded at your windows, the days snow piled so high on the fire escape his entire boot would disappear into it, the days frost seemed to seep into every crack in your building.
But he was certainly noticing it today. What was supposed to be a simple movie night has his head spinning, his face fighting back a grin as you cuddle into his side. The blanket thrown over your laps is soft and fuzzy, but it doesn't exactly keep out the chill that settles in your bones no matter how warm your apartment is.
Jason knows he should offer to get you another blanket, but he's more delighted by the fact you would rather curl into him– hook your arm with his and rest your head on his shoulder– than get up. He should keep quiet about his epiphany, the fact that you enjoy how he runs hot, but he's never been one to pass up the opportunity to tease you.
"Cold," he asks, voice a whisper of a question and low enough that you have to tilt your head to hear him better.
"I'm okay," you answer, seemingly distracted from the movie by his nose brushing along your temple.
"You seem cold," he prompts, ghosting his lips over the top of your head. It takes all his effort to keep his voice from falling into a teasing tone, to tickle and poke at your sides until you admit that while you were cold, he's doing a wonderful job of fixing that. (He's digging for your praise, sue him)
You almost seem to pick up on what he's doing, your eyes finally leaving the screen to focus solely on him, which is exactly what he's been wanting. "I'm not cold," you say easily, but your fingers move to grab at his sleeve– like you're worried he's planning something. (He is, kind of, but nothing more than this)
"Well, if you're not cold, I could go sit over on the–" he starts, grin going sly and eyes filing with mischief.
"No," you cut him off, eyes narrowing at the thought of him leaving your side. "I was cold," you correct, "but now I'm not."
His grin goes wolfish, but he lifts his arm to sling it over your shoulder, letting you snuggle closer into his side, "And that's because," he drawls out, almost sing-songy. He fights back the laugh that wells in his throat when you roll your eyes, a tinge of embarrassment painting your face.
"And that's because of you. Thank you for having a body temperature that anyone else would akin to a fever, Jason," you finally huff out, holding back a smile of your own at his antics.
He rewards you relenting by littering kisses over every inch of skin he can reach, from your face and down your jaw and to your throat, he doesn't stop until you're both a mess of laughter and smiles.
It's not until you're holding your stomach with one arm and tugging at his shirt with the other, that he pulls back to study your face, the way the light catches in your eyes, just how happy you look. (You study him too, the way the lines of his face soften, how one corner of his mouth tugs higher when he smiles than the other)
'Not too warm, though. Right?" he murmurs, the briefest hint of insecurity flashing in his eyes. It's a bigger question that he means to ask, even if it's worded as innocently as it is.
"Not at all," you soothe, fingers brushing back his hair so you can return his kisses with one of your own. A slow, soft kiss that wipes every doubt from his mind as quickly as it appeared.
"It's the perfect temperature," you breathe out once you've pulled away, fingers lingering against his cheek, and Jason has to wonder what he did to deserve this moment– to deserve you.
"Oh, Good– I mean– That's good," he stumbles out, and tries to ignore the heat that threatens to rise to his face when you kiss his jaw and turn back to the tv.
"Stay here a while and keep me warm," you ask, head nestling back against his shoulder. (Right where it belongs, if you ask Jason)
"Yeah, sure, of course. Happy to," he agrees, giving into the urge to kiss the crown of your head, "For as long as you need me." And he means that, when he tells you, for more than just sharing his warmth. No matter what it is, no matter how simple or grand, as long as you need him, Jason will stay by your side.

Sevika with a demand reader and like pouty I think they would be so cute
✞⛧ Sevika with a reader that is Demanding/Pouty✞⛧
(100th post whooooo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
✞⛧ Sevika has a low tolerance for unnecessary drama, so your demanding and pouty nature initially annoys her. But over time, she finds it oddly endearing.
✞⛧ She rolls her eyes whenever you pout, pretending it’s a hassle, but she secretly likes the attention.
✞⛧ “You’re such a pain,” she’ll grumble, but her actions always contradict her words. She still gives in to whatever you’re demanding most of the time.
✞⛧ If you cross a line or get too pushy, Sevika will shut you down with one sharp look. She doesn’t let anyone, not even you, walk all over her.
✞⛧ That said, she has a weak spot for your puppy-dog eyes. If you pout long enough, she’ll huff out an annoyed sigh and mutter, “Fine. But don’t get used to it.”
✞⛧ When you demand her attention while she’s busy, she’ll initially brush you off with a dismissive wave. But if you keep pestering her, she’ll grab you by the waist and plop you into her lap. “Happy now?”
✞⛧ She likes teasing you about how spoiled you are. “What did I do to deserve such a high-maintenance partner?” she’ll say with a smirk while still doing whatever it is you asked for.
✞⛧ If you start pouting in public, she’ll glare at you and growl, “Cut it out.” But later, in private, she’ll pinch your cheek and tell you to stop being so dramatic.
✞⛧ Sevika is surprisingly good at compromising. If your demands are reasonable, she’ll meet you halfway. If not, she’ll tell you to deal with it.
✞⛧ She’s blunt when it comes to putting you in your place. “You’re acting like a brat. Knock it off.” But her tone softens if she sees you’re genuinely upset.
✞⛧ On days when she’s in a good mood, she’ll humor your demands just to see your reaction. “Alright, princess. What do you want this time?”
✞⛧ She’ll grumble about it, but Sevika secretly enjoys the challenge of keeping up with your energy. It keeps her on her toes.
✞⛧ If you demand something extravagant, she’ll raise an eyebrow and scoff. “You think I’m made of money?” But she’ll still find a way to make it happen if it’s important to you.
✞⛧ When you pout after she tells you no, she’ll flick your forehead and say, “That doesn’t work on me.” (It totally does.)
✞⛧ She’s fiercely protective of you, even if she acts like your antics drive her up the wall. No one else is allowed to criticize or mock you—only her.
✞⛧ If you start sulking because she didn’t give in to one of your demands, she’ll eventually cave just to get you to stop pouting. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
✞⛧ Sometimes she’ll pretend not to notice your pout just to mess with you. “What? Is there something on your face?” she’ll ask with a smirk.
✞⛧ Despite her gruff exterior, Sevika has a soft spot for you. She’ll never admit it, but she secretly loves how you keep her life interesting.
✞⛧ If you’re being unreasonable, she’ll pick you up and carry you over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. “Throw a tantrum all you want. I’m still not doing it.”
✞⛧ When you’re extra pouty, she’ll cup your face in her hand and smirk. “You’re cute when you’re mad, you know that?”
✞⛧ If you demand affection, Sevika will groan like it’s the biggest inconvenience in the world. But she’ll still pull you into her arms and kiss your forehead.
✞⛧ She loves arguing with you just to see you get all huffy. “You’re cute when you’re worked up,” she’ll tease.
✞⛧ If you cross your arms and refuse to talk to her after an argument, she’ll give you space for a while before pulling you into a hug and muttering an apology.
✞⛧ When you demand her to stop smoking or drinking so much, she’ll chuckle and say, “You’re lucky I like you, or I’d tell you to mind your own business.”
✞⛧ She’s surprisingly patient with your moods. Years of dealing with Silco have made her an expert at handling difficult personalities.
✞⛧ Sevika is a sucker for your happiness. If she knows something will make you smile, she’ll do it without hesitation—though she’ll pretend she’s only doing it to shut you up
✞⛧ If you try to guilt-trip her by saying she doesn’t care about you, she’ll grab your chin and force you to look her in the eye. “Don’t even start with that. You know damn well how much I care about you.”
✞⛧ She has no problem calling you out when you’re being over the top. “Stop acting like a spoiled kid. You’re better than that.”
✞⛧ Deep down, she’s proud of how unapologetically yourself you are. Even if she won’t say it outright, she loves you for exactly who you are—even the pouty, demanding parts.
✞⛧ On quiet nights, she’ll smirk and say, “You’re lucky I put up with you.” And when you respond with a cheeky grin, she’ll shake her head and mutter, “What am I gonna do with you?”

Taehyun who’s such a perv for his overly feminine girlfriend. Loves watching her do her makeup and loves seeing her mascara all messy around her eyes after he just ruined her perfectly done blowout. Simply adores when she wears flowy dresses that are so easy to take off, only held by a few knots and ribbons, is absolutely obsessed over her high pitched moans and whines when she’s normally a pillow princess and lets him do all the work 🤩🤩

Taehyun loved to watch you while you got ready to go out. The vanity placed right next to the bed, Taehyun leaning back on his hands as he watches you move in close to the mirror. The way you curl your lashes right before you start to apply your mascara pulling him. Your mouth is just slightly open, so focused while he traces the line of your body, finding every point that connects his thoughts to his final decision. You're wearing a dress short enough that it exposes the back of your thighs as you lean over, the thin straps help tight with a carefully done up bow that you had been so nice to ask him to tie.
Then you're gliding your lipstick over your bottom lip, catching his attention as you accentuate the need he has for you. He wants to see you messy from his hands, his lips, as he tears you apart for looking so tempting when he's so weak. He watches how you spin, just enough to see the back of your dress and check out if you look good.
“Do you like it?” you ask, eyes catching him walking up behind you in the mirror. Goosebumps break out along your body with the feeling of his hands on your hips, following the natural dip between your thighs only to go back up.
Taehyun places his chin on your shoulder, his evident reaction to you pressed to your backside while he nods, “Always, you know what this dress does to me. " He lifts a hand to tug at his careful work, the strap coming undone so easily, one half of your dress already trying to drop.
“We’ll be late,” you try to remind him, his hand snaking up to your chin, thumb running over the fresh line of lipstick you had only just done, smudging your makeup. His hand on your hip is slow as it slips up your dress, bunching the fabric around your waist as he kisses the shell of your ear.
“Who cares?” it's the only warning he gives you before he pushes your panties aside fingers seeking your warmth, “I just want to hear my pretty girl once before we leave,”
“O-once?” because even you knew it was a lie, not when he never could bring himself to get enough of you after hearing you finish just one time. He would come back for more, over and over if he wanted and you would let him because just like him you couldn't resist.
“Just once,” and then with his free hand not sinking into your waiting cunt he's pushing your head down, making your back arch as you lean on your elbows, breath fanning over the mirror. Taehyun finds it so easy to move you into any position he likes when your body goes so easily limp at the slow pumps of his skilled fingers. The power he holds is so apparent as he hears every little noise you make, the sounds going straight to his aching cock. He can't help himself, from needing to see you a mess, undone by his hands and his hands alone. Because when you cum, breathless and begging for more he can't help but give it to you.
Laying you back against the pillows, kissing you until you're a mess of lipstick stains, the remnants of it traced down your neck as he bullies you into the sheets. Overstimulated when he starts his attack on your clit. Rubbing quick circles until you have tears prickling at the corners of your eyes, a thin line of a mascara tear slipping as you cum again and again, taking him right over the edge with you.
