David Arnold’s ‘end of the world’ complex and multi-genre soundtrack.

From the Award-winning composer of Sherlock and Casino Royale comes a follow up to the hugely successful, Emmy nominated Good Omens soundtrack.

Good Omens series 2 premiered on Prime Video on 28th July. The series follows the odd couple, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) in their quest to sabotage the end of the World. The six-episode sequel to the popular adaptation of the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, concerns the Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) arriving without his memories to Aziraphale’s bookshop. Aziraphale and Crowley attempt to find out what happened to Gabriel, whilst hiding him from Heaven and Hell, both eager to find him.

The Soundtrack

David Arnold’s soundtrack to Good Omens was first released in 2019 to favourable reviews, with BBC Music Magazine calling it “a rollicking trip to hell and back”. Blueprint Magazine described it as “a great listen” and Sci Fi Bulletin commented on “plenty of memorable themes” to conclude that “This is another work of art from Arnold”. At times nostalgic and eerie but always varied, beautiful and full of excitement, the Good Omens 2 soundtrack showcases Arnold’s every skill from his composer arsenal. Featured here are orchestral arrangements with sprinkling of Sugar Plum Fairy pizzicato and percussion, jaunty strings and mighty choral sweeps from Crouch End Festival Chorus. Added to the mix are rock guitar riffs, and psychedelic 70s sounds and all together they create a haunting otherworldly feel, complementing the fantasy and the quirky humour of the show. The spirited Waltz of the opening theme is also present in the second series and it wonderfully sets the scene for fantastical mayhem. In series 2, this robust, evocative, and funny music entity, becomes yet again another character in the story. When?

The March 14 2023 live. Where Jungkook started the live at 8:11 KST (cough 8/11 cough). The same live where he teased Jimin's SMF pt2 reminding us all that something amazing is gonna come up at midnight. It was White Day in SK.

On Dec 27 2023 we see Jimin wearing the Nike Swoosh Black Jacket along with a black beanie in BTS Monuments Beyond The Star

Jimin was in self quarantine at the time. So, its from Dec 14 2021. We get to know about the date from Jimin's phone screen and also from his conversation with Hoseok the same day

Now let me do a brief recap of Jungkook's Dec 8 2023 live.

When Jungkook starts the live, we see him walking home. He's going home after his workout. He talks about Bam (cause there was a rude comment asking him if he abandoned Bam), how he adopted Bam, took him home and cared for him, about Bam's training center, how he often visits Bam there and brings him home whenever he can. It is during this live that he hints that maybe Bam will have an IG in the future.

He sings songs for ARMY. Complains about the sweat. And changes his outfit to a purple hoodie just 15 mins before the live ends.

Now let's talk about the second part of your ask. About Jikook's conversation in Japan

Jikook got their first snow of this year in SK on Nov 27 2024.

Jungkook changed Bam's IG profile pic on Nov 27 2024 to this pic

And posted a new pic of Bam (the 13th post as pointed out by sydneylaurelseven)

When I saw Bam in this outfit I immediately thought of Jikook twinning on Valentine's Day in 2017

The song is a romantic one released in Dec 2017.

So, I think when the first snow fell in SK Jungkook was reminiscing about his time with Jimin in Sapporo. And also about Bam. His cute family of 3.

According to SK tradition, if you experience the first snow with the person you like, it will lead to a long lasting true love between the two. Because of this many couples promise to meet each other at a certain place to enjoy the first snow and hope for their love to be eternal.

BTS did this interview on Dec 2017. Here, Jimin said that his wish was to see the first snow every year.

And he did. He did it with Jungkook on Jan 8 2018. Their first snow together as a couple (that we know of). Maybe they had watched it before too but this was the only one they shared with us till now. They let us in on their cute, romantic moment

When asked about their favorite weather:

On Nov 25 2018 Jikook went on their ice skating date right after they landed in SK after their Japan Concert

This sweet, romantic moment where Jungkook wakes up, climbs the mountain, brings snow with him and gifts it to Jimin cause he knows Jimin loves snow. And we see Jimin being worried about Jungkook feeling cold. Both of them always thinking about the other

On Nov 25 2023 Jikook flew to Sapporo. Sapporo is also a wonderful winter honeymoon destination for couples.

Also, do you notice the watch Jimin is wearing?

He's wearing the same watch he wore during his Sept 1 2023 live. The 1997 model watch, which was set to Jungkook's birth time when he started the live (I love that moment so much. Its so romantic and loud. There's no other explanation to why he did that other than the most obvious one which is proudly showing his love for Jungkook).

Jikook had so much fun in Sapporo, enjoying each other's company, creating memories to take back home with them

Did Jungkook post those 2 pics intentionally on the same day when the first snow fell in SK?

When we (jkks) saw those 2 pics our mind immediately went to Jikook, right? Because in the first pic of Jungkook with Bam, Jungkook's jacket is the same as the one Jimin was also seen wearing (including the black beanie). The second pic is the one where Bam's wearing a green and grey jacket. Again, Jikook were seen twinning in green and grey jackets on Valentine's Day.

So, is it all a coincidence?

In my opinion Jikook and the word coincidence don't go hand in hand. Cause once, twice or even thrice can be considered a coincidence. But when it comes to Jimin and Jungkook its not a coincidence but a consistent pattern of their choices.

We have seen the whole Jikook sharing/ matching clothes, accessories saga, right? They even did it during their Solo Era. So, I'm not gonna share all that here since most of you would have already seen it. But I'll share some which looks really interesting:

1) Jimin wearing Jungkook's old T-shirt in Hoseok's bday live

2) After Jungkook uploaded GCF Tokyo an Army commented under the official BH tweet asking Jimin if he's dating Jungkook and if he is then to post a selca with glasses. After 3 days Jimin uploads a video where he is seen wearing the same green hoodie which Jungkook wore during their Tokyo trip, with a glasses filter on. He captions it "glasses"

3) Jikook in denim shirts. They looked and acted so couple coded here that Namjoon asked them if they were dating to which neither of them responds nor denies it

4) BTS pic with TXT where Jikook are wearing matching black outfits along with the hats

5) Jikook in couple pajamas for LGO MV. Jungkook wanted it to be as realistic as possible. And thats why there were seen sharing a room together cause thats what they have been doing in real life. Sharing a room, a home and being a couple

6) Jikook's color coordinated outfits for AYS Sapporo (Black & beige and Grey)

7) The staff had already prepared pajama sets for them, which can be seen on the bed but they chose to wear the couple pajama sets they brought with them

8) Jimin wearing Jungkook's sweater to bed in Winter Package

Jikook knows very well that we catch on to the hints and clues they keep dropping here and there.

So, I don't think we are delusional if we connected the pics Jungkook uploaded today to Jikook. Cause I think that's exactly what Jungkook was hinting at. And Jungkook himself said that when its gonna snow during their ms he would recall the moment he shared with Jimin during their Sapporo trip.

But add to it Bam too cause he's also a part of their family. So, when it snowed today in SK Jungkook's thoughts were filled with Jimin and Bam. His small, precious family.

Yes, we've decided that one month of the year simply isn't enough anymore! So we would like to fill two weeks in March with as much fluff as possible 🥰 for that to happen, we present you with 14 prompts, some of them neutral, some very much sping-themed.

How does this work?

Pretty much like our regular Flufftober event in October, so you'll find all the common rules and info below the cut. Contrary to the big event though, this one here only runs for two weeks instead of the entire month, and we set the date from March 11th to March 24th! So prompt one is NOT supposed to be posted on March 1st but instead on March 11th! Prompt two is for March 12th, prompt 3 for March 13th, and so on...

Since this is a smaller prompt list, you also won't find any prompt extras to switch these out with, sorry. Maaaybe if this event is a success, we'll think about changing that in upcoming years 😉

Did you enjoy the JOblr Secret Santa gift exchange? Are you already looking forward to the next event? Do you enjoy creating together and for each other, for other fans, as a community? And do you want to go bigger and bolder with it?

Then look no further, because the first official Joker Out Big Bang is here! You might have seen these events happen in other fandoms, but if you have not, you might ask:

What is a Big Bang?

To put it simply: It’s a coordinated posting of fanworks. The general idea is to post a whole lot of fanworks, all at the same time and thus create an “explosion” of fanworks, aka a Big Bang. (Maybe it’ll even get the band tag trending. #GlobalDomination /j)

For the most part, the centre of attention in a Big Bang are fanfics paired with fanart, but works can also include other mediums such as moodboards, collages, edits, gifsets, etc. The point is that a writer's work gets paired with an artist to get visual additions to their work.

All works are united under one hashtag both on tumblr and in one collection on AO3 and are shared by the other participants and the official blog – so everyone gets to be part of one big collective.

This year's Big Bang event will have a Creation Phase up until the end of March, and works will be posted from the 7th - 13th of April.

Lando sat back on his couch, still feeling the remnants of a busy day at the McLaren headquarters. His phone buzzed on the coffee table in front of him, and he reached for it, a grin spreading across his face when he saw the name on the screen.

Amelie.

He’d spent the last few days flying from one place to another, the only real solace coming from the late-night texts and the random FaceTime calls he managed to steal. But tonight? Tonight, he had a quiet evening to himself in his London apartment. And with that thought, he opened the message.

Ames💛: Here are the photos from my Skims campaign. Don’t die on me, okay? 😜

Lando laughed softly to himself. He clicked on the photos, each one making his heart race a little faster. Amelie looked absolutely stunning. The first photo was of her in a baby blue lace bra and matching thong, her blonde hair cascading over her shoulders, eyes daring, lips curled into a teasing smile. The second photo, she was lounging on a couch, dressed in a soft beige set, the fabric hugging her curves perfectly, her expression soft yet seductive. There was something about the way she looked in these photos—confidence, sensuality, elegance—it made Lando want to do anything to be there with her, even if it was just to admire her from afar.

Fuck, she’s beautiful.

He couldn’t help but grin as he scrolled through the pictures. He knew exactly how to tease her back, but at the same time, he wanted to keep this between them, just the two of them, like everything else in their complicated relationship. He quickly typed out a reply:

Lan🧡: Still wearing it? Or is it just for the photo?

He leaned back on the couch, staring at the screen, waiting for her reply. His fingers drummed on the armrest as he idly scrolled through his Instagram feed, but his mind kept drifting back to the pictures. And then—just as he was about to put the phone down—another notification appeared.

Incoming video call: Ames💛

His heart skipped a beat.

Lando didn’t waste a second. He hit accept, and within moments, Amelie’s face filled the screen, that same teasing smile playing on her lips. The dim lighting of the room cast shadows over her, highlighting her features in a way that made his stomach flip.

He’s breath caught as he saw her, her skin glowing, eyes playful. She was stunning, as always. The anticipation between them was palpable, something that had been growing since the moment she send those photos.

—Hi, babe,— Amelie purred, her voice soft and laced with mischief. —Did you like the photos?—

Lando couldn’t hide his grin, a little breathless. —You know I did,— he replied, his voice rougher than he intended. —You’re trying to kill me, Ames.—

Amelie laughed, the sound echoing in his ears, and he leaned forward a little, his eyes tracing the curve of her jaw, the way her hair cascaded over her shoulder, just as it had in the photos. —Maybe I like making you squirm,— she teased, her eyes flickering with something more, something just beneath the surface.

He couldn’t help but smirk. —You know exactly what you’re doing.— His gaze dropped briefly to the way her shirt hung off her shoulders, making his mind wander. —Still wearing it?— he asked again, a hint of challenge in his voice.

Amelie tilted her head, the playful look on her face never leaving. —Why don’t you check for yourself?— she replied with a mischievous glint in her eye.

His breath hitched. He’d been with her long enough now to know exactly what she meant. And knowing that this wasn’t just a casual conversation, he felt the heat rise in his chest. It was always like this with Amelie, flirty, teasing, yet there was an undeniable intimacy between them that made his heart race. It was never just surface-level with her.

—Okay, show me then,— he said, leaning forward, his pulse quickening with every second. His voice dropped an octave, quieter, almost a whisper. —Don’t make me beg.—

Amelie’s lips parted slightly, and she looked down, as if debating her next move. Slowly, she pulled the phone back, out of frame, and Lando’s heart pounded in his chest as he waited.

It didn’t take long for her to pull the camera back into focus. She was standing now, wearing the same baby blue set from the photos, her posture confident, her eyes locked on the camera as she gave a small twirl.

—Like what you see?— she asked, her tone breathy but full of playful confidence.

Lando swallowed, his voice tight with desire. —Fuck, yes. You know I do.—

She smiled knowingly, stepping closer to the camera. —You should come over then,— she teased, her voice low and sultry. —What are you waiting for?—

Lando’s mind was racing. The thought of being with her, right now, made him ache. But he wasn’t about to let her have all the power in this moment. —You know what I want,— he said, his words coming out barely above a whisper. —What about you? Are you still wearing the rest of it?—

Amelie didn’t break eye contact. She slowly reached for the waistband of her panties, teasing him just enough for him to feel the anticipation building between them. She didn’t pull them down yet, just let her fingers rest on the fabric as if to remind him of exactly what he was missing.

—I’m still wearing it. But I bet you want to see more.— Her voice had that knowing tone, the one that made his mind go wild with possibilities.

Lando’s hand gripped the edge of his couch, trying to steady himself. —You know I do,— he murmured, his voice hoarse. —So… what now?—

Amelie tilted her head slightly, as if thinking for a moment. —Now?— she asked, her lips curling into a teasing smile. —Now you’re going to watch me for a bit.—

Lando’s chest tightened. —You sure you want to do this?— he asked, a little breathlessly. —I mean, we both know how it’s gonna end.—

Her eyes darkened slightly, and she stepped closer to the camera. —I’m more than sure,— she said, her voice dropping lower, more seductive. —You’ve got me exactly where you want me, Lando.—

The words sent a shiver down his spine. He could feel his body responding to her, and it took all his self-control not to let that feeling take over entirely. But there was something different this time—something about the intimacy between them, about the way they knew each other so well, and yet still couldn’t get enough of one another.

Amelie took a step back, letting the camera capture her entire figure. Her body, lit softly by the room’s lighting, looked like something out of a dream. Her eyes never left the screen, her gaze unblinking and full of promise.

—You like it when I tease you, don’t you?— she asked, a slow, deliberate smile curling on her lips as she watched him struggle to keep his composure.

Lando couldn’t form a coherent response. He was too caught up in the moment, the electricity between them buzzing so intensely it almost felt like it was coming through the phone.

Lando let out a sharp breath, his eyes glued to the screen, watching her every move. —Ames,— he muttered, his voice dropping lower. —Stop… You’re gonna make me lose my mind.—

Amelie’s grin only grew wider. —I’m just getting started,— she teased, giving him a little wink.

Lando’s breath caught in his throat, but before he could reply, Amelie held his gaze, slowly raising the phone down just enough to give him a view of the baby blue fabric hugging her curves once again. The image was enough to make his pulse spike.

—Still got your attention?— she asked, her voice breathless yet filled with teasing delight.

Lando leaned back, swallowing hard as he met her gaze. The game was on, and he had no intention of letting it end anytime soon.

saw a couple posts about today (Aug 9th) being Damian Wayne's birthday, but when I looked for a source I couldn't find one for the life of me. which of course sent me down a rabbit hole of batfam birthdays. so.

Official Birthdays

*official as in they appear in canon and seem to be the most popular amongst fans. a bunch of these knuckleheads have multiple birthdays.

Cassandra Cain was born on January 26th according to Batgirl (2000) #33, though in that same issue she celebrates it some time in June because fuck her dad.

Bruce Wayne was born of February 19th according to the Detective Comics #494 fan letters column. Or April 7th, if you're looking at Star Spangled Comics #91 (Golden Age), or October 7th in Legends of the Dark Knight (2021) #10. Feb 19th seems to be the one that's used most often.

Dick Grayson was born on "the first day of spring" (aka March 20th) according to Robin (1993) Annual #4, or November 11th according to the Super DC Calendar of 1976, or a week-ish before Halloween according to Secret Origins (1986) #50, or December 1st according to Young Justice (2011) #20. March 20th fits into the robin origin story though, so we're gonna go with that.

Alfred Pennyworth was born on April 8th according to the Super DC Calendar of 1976, or August 16th according to Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Five #26 (side note: double colons in titles should be illegal). Neither of these are anywhere near real canon, but Injustice is supplementary material for a fighting game, and I'm always more inclined to go with a pure comics source. Plus this way he and Jason don't have to share.

Tim Drake was born on July 19th according to Robin (1993) #116. He's only got the one birthday and in that issue he totally forgot about it.

Jason Todd was born on August 16th according to Detective Comics #790. No information on when exactly his rebirth day is.

Barbara Gordon was born on September 23rd according to the Super DC Calendar of 1976. That's the only source we've got so that's what we're gonna use.

Unofficial Birthdays

Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas, and Damian Wayne have never had their birthdays stated in canon, so most people have assigned them birthdays based on either their debut date (Duke) or some other criteria that is a mystery to me. Those dates (from what I have gathered) respectively are:

Steph: August 11th, Duke: August 13th, Damian: August 9th

WHY ARE THEY ALL AUGUST??? THAT'S 4 (or 5 if you count Alfred) BIRTHDAYS IN THE SPAN OF A WEEK! WHY DO THEY ALL HAVE TO BE LEOS???

anyway that's the fruits of my afternoon/evening. if anyone has corrections with sources or dc canonizes a birthday in a comic I'm not reading (which is most of them, my comics taste is stuck in the 90s/early 2000s), let me know.

The King's Men - Chapter Fifteen

Day: Tuesday, March 12th / 13th* Time: 12:00 AM EST

Neil shakes his head and starts for the bedroom. Andrew isn't far behind him, and together they get Neil changed out for bed. Neil eyes the bed with some consternation. The only person he'd ever shared a bed with was his mother. She crammed them onto the same narrow mattress so she'd always know where he was; it was the only way she could get any sleep at night. Hesitation does neither of them any favors, though, so Neil picks a side and tugs the blankets back as carefully as he can. Despite his reservations, there is something painfully familiar about the weight of another body in his bed. Less familiar is the way it feels being pushed deeper into the mattress, Andrew's hands on his shoulders and tongue in his mouth, but that is something Neil can definitely get used to. He won't let himself dwell on Aaron's ugly words, but it is harder to let go of Nicky's assumption that this is nothing more than an anger- fueled attraction. Nicky is more right than Neil wants him to be, but Neil has no reason to resent that. He'd known going into this what Andrew thinks of him—Andrew's apathy is precisely why Neil had decided to accept Andrew's advances. But it isn't that easy anymore, and Neil doesn't know why or when it changed. He knows less what he is supposed to do about it. He'll have to warn Andrew at some point, but now isn't the time. He buries his unease and confusion deep and works bandaged fingers into Andrew's hair. He doesn't care how much it hurts so long as he can pull Andrew closer, and he lets Andrew take him apart until he can't think anymore.

Jin isn't even releasing Super Tuna 2 on Jimin's bday on the 13th. He's releasing it on Oct 11th. He probably felt it was too close and wanted to make Jimin's bday special. Weather he waited to release before Jimin's bday or after Hobi's release, both are still in the month of Jimtober. And he probably wanted to make sure no one took it wrong, esp Jimin. And when we think about it. Tae released Layover in September during RM and JK's birth month. Jimin released Closer Than This in December which is Tae and Jin's birth month. Jimin released Face in March during Suga's birth month. Tae released Fri(end)s in March which is Suga's birth month. Jk released Golden during GCF Tokyo anniversary month. So why are people coming for Jin for releasing during Jimin's birth month? At least he went above and beyond for Jimin's bday to make it stand out. he could have said nothing at all. People should take notes from him. He even said he wanted to focus on Muse and didn't wanna release his album and take attention away.

He really could have said nothing at all, cold released his music and went on to promote it without a single acknowledgement of Jimin's birthday whatsoever.

I'm starting to see why some members decided not to acknowledge others birthdays at all.
