Jocks dynamics on Season 5 and comparing them to Henry Bowers gang from IT (and others iconic 80s villains):

This boy below with a blue shirt is the only one that didn't wear their jersey in season 4. I believe he wasn't part of the team at all in Season 4. My theory is that just like Lucas, he is just a black boy trying to fit in; he even did some research and helped them with Eddie's case, just like Lucas. He helped them find the house of that drug dealer named Rick. But he was never seen with them while they were going on a "mission", he just gave them tips and hanged out with them during parties, he doesn't appear in the basketball game, playing or even in the bench, if i remember correctly. His shirt is similar to Lucas blue shirt in episode 2 too, i think they were purposefully making parallels with these two.

We can see Andy and Chance on this paparazzi pic, and supposedly the same guy from season 4, but now he is wearing the jersey below his jacket (we can see the collar from the jersey they use, and some green color too).

Now we have a new jock, a blonde one, that not only resembles Jason (of course), but young Johnny Lawrence from Karate Kid too. This means he will be a big problem, the Duffer Brothers wouldn't cast someone similar to Johnny, a 80s iconic bully, to just make him a random weakling bully (the actor name is Deric Replogle).

He is following Dustin on the school grounds, so he is taking the lead against the actual symbol of the Hellfire Club. Meanwhile, Andy, Chase, and the new teammate are following Mike. When Dustin is at the cemetery, he is the one person more close to him; i think he will do the most damage to Dustin. Chance is there with him, the actor is shaking hands with one of the Duffers. There's no sign of Andy, maybe the actor is behind the camera, or he didn't participate in this scene.

Now i'll explain what i think their conflict will be. Andy is probably the leader now that Jason is dead, and we know he is way more crazy than him; Jason had a twisted idea of justice, but Andy seems to like to inflict pain on others. He made jokes about Chrissy being the one that was murdered, smiled while talking about hunting Eddie, and tackled Erica, a 11-year-old, while threatening to break her arm. Now this new blonde jock could be another violent and sadistic asshole, he looks like Johnny Lawrence, who is someone very dangerous to mess with, and he is the one most close to Dustin after they beat him; this can make both Andy and the blonde to try take the leadership for themselves. The blonde resembles Jason, and this would make Andy feel like an underdog again. I think he actually cared about Jason in some twisted way, but now that he is in a leader role, he won't let anyone take this from him.

We can compare this group with the four core. Andy would be Dustin, the blonde guy would be Mike; both Mike and Dustin are the ones to take the lead a lot of times, and some people tend to discuss who is the real leader of the four core, but they wouldn't care about it. On the other hand, Andy would definitely care about somebody taking him off his leader role, and this blonde jock can be the one. Chance would be Will; both are quieter guys, but Will actually has his own opinion about things and isn't always hiding them; Chance just followed Jason and Andy like a stray dog. The blue shirt guy would be Lucas, as i said. He just wants to find a way to fit in (there's a post here on Tumblr comparing the four core with the original jocks from season 4, but i couldn't find it, if you have it, send it to me so i can put the link right here).

After being challenged by the blonde too many times, Andy would end up killing him, and right after this, he would decide to kill the whole main characters gang for good, after the whole town turned into absolute chaos. He can be influenced by Vecna to do all of this, just like Henry Bowers from IT book and movies. And we know Stranger Things is heavily influenced by IT; Vecna is literally a mix of Pennywise and Freddy Krueger. Pennywise influenced Henry to kill his father, then he made the whole city of Derry be engulfed by a storm. Soon after this, he made Henry and his friends, Victor and Belch, go after the Losers Club. On IT, Henry's main target was Mike, a black kid, and it isn't a reach to say that Lucas, a black teenager, will be Andy's main target too, as he will probably think Lucas killed Jason.

After seeing all this crazy shit happening, the new boy (the one with the blue shirt on season 4, in case you have forgotten, lol) would be scared, as he didn't really want all this to happen, he just wanted to fit in, just like Lucas. Now there are two options that the writers can take, 1: he decides to get the hell of this group just like Lucas on Season 4; 2: he can continue in this hellhole and die with Chance, just like Victor and Belch from IT, to show that not everybody is like Lucas, some people will decide to continue in a bad environment just to fit in; Andy would die later on after having an encounter with the main group, just like Henry Bowers.

Or: Andy could end up being someone like Patrick Hockstetter, a sadistic maniac that ends up having a premature death, then the blonde takes the role of Henry Bowers for himself. But i think the other way is more coherent; Andy is already established as a character (and there's always the chance of this blonde guy being just a random that don't even has lines, but i hope not don't think so, lol).

I think this would be a good way to implement some horror with human villains in the series. If you're going to make a high school bully a villain, make him terrifying, just like Henry Bowers. There's the military like Sullivan and Linda Hamilton character, but i ain't really scared of them; i just know they have resources like guns; they aren't scary at all for me.

my chronological study is not yet caught up, so i can't really do 2024 justice, but i've covered a lot of ground from 2013 to early 2023, and there's just so many things that stand out!!! not just moments but like.. idk. whole parts of their lives. i'll check some dates {edit: and add 20 gifs and a video}, but otherwise, off the dome, my favorite moments lmao let's do this:

max's story about seeing lando driving his kart at 9yrs old, the small details about the location and lando's helmet that he remembered, the fondness in his tone of voice as he talked about it, and calling himself a day one fanboy of lando

there's this old old post on max's insta where he's just starting out, with lando commenting on it in a supportive or teasing way... just seeing how long they've been friends, all the footage of them karting, sharing podiums, and goofing off in tiny race suits together, it's not one moment that i love but the pool of shared experiences and competition

jumping forward in time a bit, that time max said that lando had taken care of him after he stopped racing and wasn't sure what to do, it's just important to me that max showed up just playing on lando's twitch first. lando opened up this whole path for him, ultimately hiring him, shaping the trajectory of the rest of his life

there's some deeply notable streaming early on in lando's house, a favorite being the absurd bathrobe tech support, with lando fresh out of the shower and all up in max's personal space. and then idk it's a small detail but there's times where max and lando are wearing the same glasses and i love that

i can't pick a favorite of the quadrant videos filmed in summer and fall 2021, there's so many deeply endearing and iconic moments, like the hot sauce video, the lie detector (big reaction), the pink 'how well do you know' video (max's absurdly fond tone of voice saying "useless" is my first memory of him, from years ago), the outtakes of the part of the elgato video where they kick niran out of their house

there's connor's august twitch stream from holiday with them all tipsy and topless and deeply tanned on a boat. lando hovering around max's back, making max smell his underarm when he complained. it reminds me of pics i saw of lando shirtless in a paddling pool which i assume were taken by max.

the way they were wearing each other's golf shirts on the course in that one fall golf stream, i think it was shortly after sochi. the whole recurring bit with them sharing a wardrobe, the "whose shoes are those?" "whose joggers are those? "whose hoodie is that?" bit, the fact that it kept going even after they moved apart

those key december 2021 streams, the loooong halo stream where chat called max both lando's dog and his wag. just the wild argument they had about max moving to monaco, with max saying lando'd get lonely, offering to be a house husband almost, and 'joking around' like 'he doesn't want me, we're done, etc..

then the sweet sad energy of the last stream in the house, where lando picks a fight about who's better at golf and uses his keyboard clicking to annoy max. for some reason i love this fight the most out of everything, i've listened to it dozens of times probably, i even transcribed it to see what the sentence length looked like before i started writing rpf. it's just like the perfect quintessence of their dynamic.

the march 2023 max twitch stream with lando in the blue hoodie (kitten, max smelling his underarm, lando losing his mind about a memory of max when he was drunk). i'm pretty sure in that stream, max's dad comes in and asks if lando is staying the night, in a way that communicates he's done it a hundred times before and is welcome to do it a hundred more

the april 2023 twitch streams where lando wanders around, laying with bare feet kicked up on the bed, massaging his back (each others' backs, max returns the favor), lint rolling himself. around this time P says on stream that max is lando's boyfriend, she also calls him his slave and labels what they share as an addiction(!!!)

i know they go to motogp together in the summer of this year, i remember the adorable almost kinda matching outfits. there's also that footage of max looking at lando asleep in that egg pod thing from around then too

then like, 2024, i have so much to catch up on, but i was aware of him by the end of the season. obviously the infamous post disaster races had that gentle parenting from max about eating and sleep while playing tarkov, which was lovely, and then the way max defended him at crucial parts of the season and like asked 'where's the backing' and got angry on his behalf was good too.

2025...... so much so far. the "you said my name so I know you're lying." the "stop fucking kissing her max and hurry the fuck up." connor's "his brother and his boyfriend" comment. the fact that i got jumpscared by max streaming from lando's office again. the pushups. watching the super bowl. just so much.

Lucifer's Bad Month

The hotel felt different without Adam there. The air felt thick and heavy, but light and hollow at the same time. The silence was too loud, and the noise was too quiet. Everyone seemed uncomfortable with the shift in atmosphere. Charlie even turned away Sinners who wanted to be redeemed, saying it "wasn't a good time right now." It was just...different without him there...

Lucifer usually stayed curled up in his bed, covered in blankets and stalking Adam's Sinstagram page. He scrolled through happy date pics, beautiful exorbitant gifts that Mammon had gifted him, short videos of his music and shredding his guitar, and promotions for his concerts in the Greed Ring. He really wished he could go...

Lucifer was broken from his trance of cyber stalking when he heard a knock on the door.

"Dad?" Charlie called out. "Auntie Belle is here to see you."

Lucifer groaned and curled up deeper in his blanket prison. "I don't wanna see anyone! Go away!"

"C'mooooooon, Luciiiiiiiii..." Belphegor said in her soft, drawn out tone.

"Dad, she said it was important."

Lucifer groaned again and poked his head out. "Let her in..." He heard a small click and the gentle tapping of slippers on his hardwood floors. The soft bed dipped slightly and he looked over at the lavender sheep with her typical sleepy haze.

"Heeeeey, Luciiii. How ya feelin'?"

Lucifer yawned softly. "Hey, Belle. I've...been better."

"Whass goin' on?"

Lucifer sighed and sat up. "Just some relationship trouble. Nothing really...important."

"Ok... Ya know we have that meeting today, riii..." She trailed off and yawned softly, covering her mouth slightly.

Lucifer yawned as well, wiping his eyes. "Damn it! I completely forgot."

"Isss ok. Jus' get ready and I'll meet ya downstairs, kay kay?"

"Yeah..." Lucifer watched her leave and he got out of bed, getting changed into a simple suit before heading down and following her to the conference room.

He was expecting it to go normally, maybe just trying to ignore Mammon a little more, but as soon as he walked into the meeting room....

"What the hell is he doing here?!" Lucifer yelled, pointing at Adam seated in Mammon's lap.

Everyone whipped their heads around to the King of Hell, then back to Adam and Mammon.

"He's his..." Beelzebub started to say. "What the fuck are you again?"

"Royal advisor," Adam said. "I keep him from making stupid decisions."

"Right! Yeah. He's the smart guy." Bee smiled and nodded, looking back at Lucifer, hoping that would satisfy him.

"Seems like you need one of those, Bee," Satan teased.

"Oh, shove it up your ass!" She pulled a cup of yogurt at him, watching it bounce off his buff shoulder and bust open when it hit the ground.

The room erupted in quiet giggles, while Lucifer practically glared at Adam and Mammon. Why the fuck was he here, taunting him with his mere presence? He had that stupid fucking grin, thinking he was better than Lucifer for worming his way into his sacred ground, and that stupid goddamn crystal on an even more elaborate chain. It looked like golden fucking lace!

"Ya good, Luci?" Belphegor asked, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"I'm fine." He ripped his shoulder away and went to his place at the head of the table. "Let's get this over with..."

It wasn't easy seeing him at the meetings. Every week for the last month or so, he'd go in and see Adam all dolled up, pampered not only by Mammon but the other Sins as well. The meetings dragged on longer and longer, and he had to suffer longer and longer as Adam was just out of his reach. He had to figure out how to get him back.

But any attempt fell short. Mammon would glare at him. Adam would tell him to fuck off, or punch him in the face. Even when he tried to apologize for what happened before. It never worked. Lucifer dreaded the meetings now, doing everything to end them quickly or avoid them altogether, but it was no use. He felt hollow on the inside and heavy on the outside. It felt familiar, somehow comforting, and unwelcome at the same time.

At that week's meeting, you could tell something was wrong with Lucifer. He sounded dead and tired, he looked like he hadn't gotten enough sleep, and his normally tight clothes seemed a little loose. Belle pulled him aside after the meeting, once everyone had left. "Luciiii, whass wrong?"

"I... I'm fine, Belle." He pushed her arm away and tried to leave.

"I knoow you're not ok, Luci..." Belphegor said, pulling out something from her bag. "Why don' ya try taking these?" She handed him a small pink bottle of medicine.

Lucifer glared and shoved it away, trying to hold back tears. "I'm not taking those pills again. They made me practically insane."

"Luciiii...." Belle sighed. "You 'member last time, right? How ya felt when Lily left?"

Lucifer looked away, furrowing his brow softly. He hated thinking about it, but the pain was still fresh in his mind. "I felt...broken..."

"And how didya feel before ya went off your meds?" She asked softly.

"I felt..." Tears began to fall. "Good..."

"What didya say it felt like?" Belle pushed on.

"It felt like... Like I was back in Heaven..." Tears fell harder, as he thought back on that time. "It felt like I was a seraphim again..."

"And...?"

"I'd do anything to feel like that again..." He said softly.

"And how do ya feel now?"

"Broken..." Waterfalls fell silently from his eyes as he looked up at Belphegor. "Fix me... Please..."

She nodded and pulled out some bottles. "How many didya take last time?"

"I think I was...up to six a dose? One dose in the morning, one at noon, and one at night..."

"Alright. This formula is a little different, so I want you to start with five. Take this one in the morning and at noon, and take this one at night." She handed him a lavender bottle with a sun on it, and one dark purple bottle with a moon on it. "This one has caffeine added, and this one has melatonin. Come see me next week to get you an official prescription, kay kay?"

"Kay kay..." Lucifer stared at the bottles while Belle walked away, leaving him alone in the meeting room.

He shouldn't. He knew he shouldn't. He knew what he was like last time, how everyone said he was a completely different person.

He wouldn't be the same.

But it made him feel good for once.

He would go insane...

But before that....he would feel happy.

This was a death sentence...

But before he died, he would feel ok again...

So, in elementary school my parents introduced me to the Lord of the Rings books. I was absolutely fascinated by the map of the world (and started drawing my own), but I didn't like the hobbits that much. I also genderbent Merry in my head (because the name could work as "Mary") through pure copium as I yearned for female identification figures.

Reading it, I was rather bored and my dad kept asking "Was there a black rider yet?" and I kept saying "nooo... 🥱"

Somehow I kept reading and I remember that the barrow wights scared the living shit outta me, same with Gollum and Sauron's eye in Galadriel's mirror. Though, I did stop reading at a certain point and only when the PJ movies came out did I read through the entire trilogy.

I fell in love with Legolas. Because he was hot. During the Hobbit trilogy I fell out of love with Legolas. His character was kinda cringe and Orlando Bloom ages like milk.

I fell out of love with the entire fandom. The audio book of the Silmarillion I own, I stopped listening because I just got confused.

Then, years later I randomly clicked on a youtube video which featured the music I was looking for, but also Sauron pics/scenes. I read the comments and asked myself: "The fuck is a Maia??"

Later on a different random video, the comments said that Sauron in fact wasn't dead after the destruction of the Ring (him exploding in the Return of the King movie sealed his fate for me and I hadn't ever re-read the books).

Now that somehow fueled my imagination. I started digging for more lore, listened to the Silmarillion and found Sauron fanart that wasn't just an eye or a dude in armor. And at first I wasn't sure WHO was actually Sauron. The hot ginger/blonde or the leadsinger-of-Dethklok-look-alike? And thankfully, thank-thank-thankfully Sauron was the hot one. Because Melkor was no character I was into. And yes, till this day Angbang is no main ship of mine. More like a necessary evil? 😅 (No offense, but I was never in these kind of dynamics. It's not working for me.)

Anyway, I started making up AUs of Sauron's possible return and got so obsessed with them, the fandom had me back. Full deepdive-iceberg back.

And now with Rings of Power, I've got even more crazy ideas. I guess I will stay around for a while. Till I find a better husbando or fandom drama do us part. 🫢

Something that brings all of us together is our love for Tolkien's work, and its spinoffs.

So, question: What got you into Tolkien?

I'll start.

When I was 12, my father urged me to read The Hobbit. So I did, and I was mesmerized by it, to the point where I'd stay up in the middle of the night to read it. I never got beyond that, though.

Two years ago, I decided to reread it, and I fell in love all over again with the story, characters, Tolkien's writing style, everything. So I decided to read The Lord of the Rings. I got the first book, read a couple of chapters.. and gave up. It was too verbose, too prosaic.

The next year, that is, a few months later, I tried my hand at it again. This time, I got through four chapters, but I still couldn't read the rest. Then.. I began crushing on a guy who'd read it, and so I grit my teeth and went for it. I read, and read, and this time, I found myself enjoying it. Bonus, the guy and I got into conversation.

After finally finishing the first book, I even started the second, and watched the first movie with my family. (By way of flirting I asked the guy whether he liked PJ's Trilogy, and he told me he "found them low budget" so that, um, ended. I'm no longer crushing on real people.)

I read the second, the third book, reread The Hobbit a third time, watched all the movies, and joined Tumblr. Then I got motivated to read The Silmarillion. I'm currently working on that, as well as my Tolkien collection.

Honestly, one thing that fuels my love for the work is all my lovely mutuals who I've gained through this love.

I actually wrote a decent amount this morning 😊

“Oh my god this is delicious,” David says through a bit of his burger, and Patrick can’t hide his smile, though he doesn’t think David is aware of anything but the burger at this very moment. “I’m glad it’s worth my money,” he teases. “Oh, you have no idea how amazing this is,” David says. “Oh? Is it better than the exact same burger I ordered then?” “Okay, if you’d been eating nothing but Café Tropical for the past two years you’d understand.” “Okay, David,” he says, taking another bite of his burger. It’s a good burger, he has to admit, and the fries are damn near perfect. It seems Patrick is making a habit of stumbling across unexpected delights today. Speaking of the fries, he had already decided they were perfect without any condiments but wants to try them with a little ketchup too, so he sets his burger down and reaches for the generic red squirt bottle and is met with a brush of fingertips that sends a bolt of electricity straight through him. It seems David had chosen to use the ketchup at the same moment. “Oh, sorry. Go ahead,” he waves as nonchalantly as possible, hoping his face isn’t as red as it feels. He isn’t just letting David use it first to be nice, although of course he would have anyway, but he needs a moment to gather himself before he thinks he can even properly use a squeeze bottle. His entire body feels like jelly. He’d never reacted this way to anyone he’s ever met. Not even Rachel.

Occasionally I see people reblogging from a specific mcyt(?) artist on this site and while I'm sure they're a fine person themself I'm always haunted by the Knowledge(tm) that they are the older sibling of a shitty ex friend of mine

This little dog has been through such incredible transformations, I'm frankly amazed she ended up not only looking like a perfectly normal elderly MinPin (she went from obese when she arrived at the shelter to being no more than a skeleton when she arrived in my sister's care, and I think the time between those 2 things wasn't very long) but also has evolved from a little snapping monster to an overall friendly (albeit quirky - and she does have some spice left in her if you force something onto her that she doesn't want, but you get my drift), people loving cuddle bug who happily sleeps on strangers laps and loves pets.

The transformation between the last two pics was so gradual that I didn't even really notice it until I looked at the older pics. At the time I really wasn't sure if her back would ever straighten again, I certainly wouldn't have been surprised had it stayed somewhat deformed, but it did. Just incredible what she has turned into if you compare it with older pictures! And once again, what a difference a fitting environment makes for a traumatized soul such as her.

Granted, she walks kind of funnily and has certain balance/ coordination issues (may or may not be caused by knee issues), but she looks pretty normal now and it's amazing.

Not to go on about it that much more, but I was thinking about this while getting dinner; although it ultimately seems like his first marriage was doomed from the start and he's much happier with Anita, there were other things that suggested to me that Brian still regrets that his first marriage had to end at all and ended badly, too. In a video from 1999-ish where he answered fan questions, he was asked what the biggest thing he regretted not doing was, and he quoted Einstein and said his biggest regret was not being able to stay with one woman all his life, and then said he wished he'd faced his fears like 30 years earlier so he could've dealt with his relationships better.

There's that, and I don't know if anyone else has ever felt this, but I've read Queen in 3D and there are several pictures of him and Chrissy in there, including a big picture of them with Jimmy and Louisa around 1985 at the end of the book with a caption that says "the May family", and idk, I just get these really wistful vibes from the photos and captions he put in there of him and her. It's kind of sad, in my opinion.
