#aw #that sounds nice #anonymous #answered #I was wondering what the aged paper is doing there but it reminded me of something #so I'm going to share a weird personal detail totally unprompted #I think I used to have pica disorder when I was a kid I would gnaw on and eat a lot of small inedible objects #pieces of cardboard rubber bands and blu tack #the plastic animal figurines I had had bitemarks on them and were often missing bodyparts like if a dog had gotten to them #also a ton of uncooked pasta #I think it wasn't a flavor thing I had obsessions for specific textures that weren't found in actual foods #I particularly craved those candy wrappers that are made of waxed paper #(finns might be familiar with pihlaja or marianne wrappers for example or those translucent inner wrappers in lehmäkarkki/ cow cream fudge)#can't say for sure when it stopped but one day I realized that hey hold on this probably isn't normal human behavior #I think I was over 10 but under 15 #and I had forgotten the whole thing but got such a vivid flashback from that line it was actually kind of alarming

#alt with eyes hidden under the cut #cofagrigus #their eyes are shiny. made of plastic. so they're looking a little bright. apologies for this #so. generally when i have quarrels about the pronunciation of a pokémon's name (since i don't watch anipoké)#where someone else and i pronounce the same pokémon's name differently. which doesn't happen very often‚ since typically i talk about #pokémon mostly entirely in text. because most of the communication about things i like happens in text. and the pokémon games #are not voice acted. so pronunciation of their names is sparse and sometimes limited to anipoké but even they're inconsistent i think #but whenever i have quarrels about the pronunciation of a name. someone else and i pronounce it differently. i go to pokédex 3d pro #on the 3ds. because every time you go to a pokémon's dex entry‚ the pokédex guy says their name out loud #i basically treat this as gospel for how to pronounce pokémon names. i've been proven wrong a lot but i've also been proven right a lot #and this guy. oooohhh this guy. before pokédex 3d pro i pronounced this guy's name as though the F-slur was right in the middle #only recently did i learn that it kinda sounds like “grievous‚” [kʰɐ.fə.'gɻiː.gəs]#at least. that's how the pokédex 3d pro guy says it #whereas i had been pronouncing it [kʰow.'fæg.ɻɪ.gəs]. so. you can see the issue that arises with that pronunciation #a lot of these pronunciations that i have to double-check just live in my head. and it's only when i say them out loud that i realize #how i'm saying them. like how i pronounce “centiskorch” as [sɑ̃.t͡si̠.skoʁʃ] for some fucking reason. my brain sees it and is like #yeah that's? a french word? even though it looks nothing like one #i also tend to pronounce “grumpig” as ['gʀʊm.pɪç] because of the “ig” at the end. i guess. german instinct #of course these are pronunciations i never say out loud but the first time i Have to say this pokémon's name out loud i'll go #oh yeah! it's not pronounced like that. i should probably not say that #and then i do not. just a fun little story about my twisted and fucked up mind. a little peek into my enigmatic brainspace #jesus christ these are some of the longest tags i've ever written. i'm gonna stop

i need to buy new earphones, i was not made to be going places in a musicless world

#im back to using my old ones with the messed up sound #bc the new ones just stopped working completely #like okay you cant expect too much from the cheapest earphones that were shipped in just a plastic bag with no protection #and i made my mom call and they were like well she can pay to send them back and if we see sth actually wrong we'll send her a new pair #but if its a cut wire we cant do anything about it #oh well dude the wires were messed up since before i got them but i have no way of proving that #so I'll just go to the store and buy some new ones cause that's cheaper than paying to send them back and then get nothing #jo says stuff #personal ramblings

Has anyone else noticed that some of the really vocal anti-makeup anti-plastic surgery people manage to swing back around and sound like 1700s puritans again? Like don't get me wrong, there are a lot of valid criticisms of powerful misogynistic industries, but some of the "How Dare You Artificially Manipulate Your God Given Features" is side-eye inducing. I think that there is no victory until choosing to alter or not alter your appearance is a completely neutral task, something that is not required, not forbidden, not praised, not derided, not rewarded, not punished.

#I think a part of my real dislike of takes like that is how easily the same arguments could be made against gender affirming care #Oh those surgeries and hormones are UNNATURAL and EVIL you are being MANIPULATED into wanting them #or even something mild like tattoos!#It's bad wrong evil tacky gross to get tattoos obviously it's unnatural you'll regret it!#I have to believe that there's a way to push back against makeup and plastic surgery as an expectation without sounding like... that

#this is a post of rage hurt and betrayal that is not quantifiable #Bethany Estha Oobleck are developers that love toying with my emotions like I’m a wind up Easter toy #twisting my key until it’s a struggle even for them but they don’t stop #not until they can’t turn anymore but they do not set me down when they let go #they hold me just above it so close my little plastic feet just barely scrap the floor #incessant the sound is scrapping as all the wound up energy is exerted #as I run in the water swim in the air all meaning I go no where #and just then I dropped and I teeter but I do not fall I run as far as I can with whatever is left #but there isn’t much progress there never is #an inch or so is made as my key stops and my legs do as well not tired but unable to move until wound again #and they do and the cycle repeats and by the time I run #a plastic wobble all the way there I can only ask if it was worth it #if letting them play with me like I was the game was worth seeing the screen of my pip boy again #helping Boone settle his loathing and Arcade come to terms #Cass look to the future and Veronica to make her own #Raul find new purpose and Lily to make up her mind or keep it #to save Rex and Ede to improve the Mojave #and I say yes it is #and then I am picked up and carried back for it will begin again #if you can’t tell my game keeps crashing for some reason today and I can’t figure out why with every mod and guide known to man #and it’s making me deranged cause it’s all I wanted to do toady and night #fallout #fallout new vegas

Fun little poyalia fact. I like to think of poyla as appearing almost sort of needle felted. Like fluff being held together and given shape by some weird life-giving force that stops working when they "die," hence poffing. Maybe water is what gives them shape and sentience (if applicable)? Idk
