Norman Taurog talking about Dean and Jerry while filming 'Jumping Jacks' in 1952.
"Their naughtiness gets embarrassing sometimes"
"They steal everything from my office"
Apparently they disappeared and were found an hour later filling in as extras in the movie, 'Botany Bay'. Lol, the fun these two must have had.

Dean showed Jerry affection in the sweetest ways. The people who say Dean hated him, well I don't know what to say. These two loved each more than anything, I'm certain of that.

Anon who asked about the suicides here. Unfortunately I'll need the specific locations/texts (of at least two, I think). It's not that I don't believe in you!! I'm just trying to show it to someone
of course-
king saul kills himself via the sword in 1 sam 31. i have posted often about how god sees this death and never gets over it, and that is at least partly why he later incarnates as a non-roman (roman citizens would die by the sword: i think god feared dying as saul did)
sign-acts as self harm: see ezekiel's self-harm sign-acts: isolation in ezek 3:31; immobilization ezek 4:4-8; eating over excrement ezek 4:9; see also jeremiah's self-harm sign-acts: exposure to elements jer 13; auto-yoking in jer 27
elijah praying to die: 1 kngs 19:4; knowing elisha will also end up praying to die: ibid v. 20 ("what have i done to you!?")
tobit praying to die: tobit 3 (sarah also has a prayer for death here)
moses praying to die: numb 11:13
jonah prays to die and then attempts suicide via the elements: jonah 4
psalmist 88 also prays to die and, in fact, enacts a semiotic death (writing from the grave). this is one of two psalms that does not end in resolution with god
samuel asking to be put to rest after already dying: 1 sam 28
many close to god also express, without intention to enact and without real plea, their wanting-to-die: see job (all of it), jeremiah (jer 20), and rebekah (gen 27:46)
there are many more than what my post listed. almost every prophetic sign act is self-harm. and, in the second testament, you have (very famously) the apostle paul saying he struggles with suicidal ideation, as well as the suicide of judas, which lacks any affective response precisely because none suffice. keep in mind that in the ancient world, self harm and auto-death looked like, and meant, very different things than they do today. keep also in mind that in each pericope here, god shares in the wanting-to-die, never answering the plea or condoning or condemning, but holding gently unto the pain

Meet Jeremy Sullivan
Tumblr media
The most speedy Student at Mann Secondary School and Sixth Form. The runt of a rather large family it's clear that he was slightly neglected but so were all his other brothers as having one mother to share around 8 children is quite the task.
Being the so-called runt of a large family does have other consequences than just not receiving enough attention, it also gave his brothers the perfect opportunities to give stupider and stupider nicknames to him. To his brothers James and Jonny, he's simply 'Rat', as the twins used to call him 'Remy' until they watched Ratatouille, and found it quite funny. For Jacob, it is 'Jerbel.' Their mother always called him 'Jerry', which in turn led to Jefferey Jordan and Jackson calling him 'Mouse' as a Tom and Jerry joke. And because he's just quite boring, Julian just calls him Jeremy. Of course with his mother, nicknames are far from the insults and rodents of his brothers. Her favorites are 'Jerry', 'Jer-bear' and 'Cupcake'. She especially likes to do this when his friends are round to embarrass him further.
As he was the youngest in his family, and from his brothers' constant 'banter', as they put it, he often felt like he was the weakest member of their family, and that he had something to prove. And so to prove himself, he started to do sports, especially rounders and cross-country running, eventually dropping the other sports just to focus on those ones.
Aside from sports, Jeremy also quite enjoys drawing and arts, and in fact, he's quite good at it. However, he doesn't use his talents for much good just often drawing little doodles of his friends or characters, and never drawing anything big. One of the things he draws most often however is the French exchange student who's living with his family in odd situations.
And now we get onto 'Spy', as despite living with the Sullivan family for just over a year, no one actually knows his name, or what he looks like (except for one person), and by god, does he and Jeremy fight. Most of it is verbal, but occasionally there is a physical fight; like the massive one that got them in isolation for a while, and almost excluded, but that's a story for another day! Other than the constant fighting, they can actually be nice to each other occasionally. Like for example, Jeremy goes to 'Spy' for girl advice, specifically with a certain sixth former.
F. Pauling, or just Pauling as she's more commonly known, is the chosen infatuation of the two-year junior. Despite his many attempts at winning her over, she says that she just sees him as an annoying younger brother, and with how many brothers he has a lot of people see him that way.

PE
Relationships
Jane 'Soldier' Doe: They sit next to each other in PE, so hardly any work gets done. Not to mention the fights that Jane often initiates and Jeremy often loses
?? 'Pyro' ??: This pair just often sits and draws in either the most random places in the corridor or near where the library ghosts hang out.
Tavish 'Demoman' Degroot and Mikhail 'Heavy' Ivanov: The designated 'Bonk!' suppliers. Tavish gets it for him by simply not ID-ing him when he buys it, and Mikhail gets it for him by saying it's for himself, and with how old and tall Mikhail is, it's no wonder why the cashiers don't ID him.
Ludwig 'Doc' Koch: With how often Jeremy gets injured in his fights with Jane, it's no wonder why Ludwig's most often patient is none other than Jeremy.
Mun-dee 'Mick' 'Sniper' Mundy: Two of four members of the friend group to be in yr10, however, they haven't actually talked that much.
?? 'Spy' ??: It's a complicated friendship, in fact, they're more like brothers than they are friends.
F. Pauling: Its incredibly awkward when they're alone, especially when Jeremy tries to break the silence, with an even worse flirt.

Dean let Jerry know he loves him and he added the 'I mean it' because he knew Jerry and he knew Jerry needed to hear it. There's just nothing I can find that tell me that these two were not head over heels in love with each other. It's so very sad that they had to live out their lives apart.

👥 + John-Paul
Send ‘👥‘ for 4 hcs about our muses relationship or about your muse @survivalxofxthexfittest
Compared to his slightly more openness with the other two Rose siblings on this particular matter, Ash has never told JP about the Sada problems, he's learnt his lesson on that one. And he really can't afford another telescope mysterious breaking again, literally, emotionally and financially. He knows just how close JP is to Sada, seeing the mess that came from telling Ria, Ashton simply learnt to keep his mouth shut about this, especially with JP. JP only really knows how much Sada hates him, from Sada herself, but that was it, that was harmless enough. Because whichever way the outcome goes, Ash only sees a lose-lose situation. If JP believes him, there might be an anger hard to tame, a mess he wasn't sure they could clean up. And the more likely latter that JP doesn't believe him from a single gaslight of Sada, Ashton wasn't ready to lose JP as a friend, as family. And if he had to keep this from JP forever to hold that delicate peace, he will.
Ash has let JP come to his apartment multiple times, at any time really, to share his problems with him, always a listening ear for him to at least talk through his feelings unfiltered and work things through. Perhaps it was the fact that Ash was kind of family, and yet not really family, there was a small comfort perhaps in that grey area of close enough but not too close. A sweet spot to open up and Ash was always a good listener, not always having the solutions but more often than not JP already knows his answer and just needs a sounding board and Ash was happy to be that for him, secrets spilt never revealed, rants shared and never passed along, JP deserves that much of his privacy, something he's sure he hasn't gotten much of all these years.
He knows that JP knows about certain feelings for a certain brother but Ash continues to deny it even if it's just knowing glances he's seen JP give him all this time. He glazes over them, as if any more of acknowledgment was going to throw JP into an excitement of being right all this time. But in one occasion last year, Ash had gravely talked to him to ask-beg- him to not tell Sada whatever he thinks there is between Ash and Jer, there wasn't-, he'd tell JP, but on the off chance it blabs out to Sada, he's pretty sure he wasn't going to get out of it alive. Probably dead in a ditch the very next day. Good thing he had his will drafted and grave picked out already. And while he loves and trusts JP, this was unfortunately something he just wasn't sure he could trust JP with, not if he valued any form of peace and solace he still had with this pocket of his life, a vulnerability he could protect if he pretended it didn't exist.
Introducing his mother to the Roses, with them pretty much being his first new friends moving here, his mother immediately took a liking to the three of them, empathetic and honestly, pissed off at the fact of what their mother put them through. She made the effort to always ask about them when she gets on video calls with Ashton, insisting on greeting them and saying hi when she could. The middle Rose reminded her a little bit of when young Ash, brash, a bit of a temper, a dash of insecurities. Perhaps if anything it was almost a nostalgic feeling, knowing the marines changed her son forever. She indulges JP in embarrassing stories of Ashton to use to make fun of him, an equivalent exchange between both families and love hearing about the siblings herself and JP was always the one to joke around about those. She wished she could help JP more in his struggles but like mother like son, she didn't always feel like it was her place to butt in on his life, not unless he wanted her to. So instead they focused on the brighter side of life, just wanting to return the love that the siblings have given to Ash all this time, knowing that they deserve it more than anyone else she knew.

They separated them while they were alive, not taking into account what they really wanted to do when their fame was at its highest. They continue to separate them from the dead without taking into consideration, from Dean Martin's family, his years with Jerry, pretending not to understand that those years were the years in which Dean Martin was truly happy. Or rather the first years together when it was just Paul and Jer, without having around the whole machine of the "dirty dream factory" as Nick Tosches defined it. And even in death Dean Martin is still treated (by his own family) like a star of the show and not like the Dino Crocetti person. Nobody tries to understand what Dino Crocetti was like as a person basically because nobody cares. Just like it happened when he was alive.
They just changed their whole story in favor of the hypocritical and puritanical American public and turned Jerry into a monster and Dean into a saint.
For money.

👥 + jp
JP has given him the nickname, Ford Prefect (FP for short), after his introduction to the Rose family. And will always, always, try and work in a joke about not forgetting his towel, ala Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. While he is extremely glad Ashton wasn't run over that day, he is going to give him shit about it the rest of his life. (To be fair, it is John-Paul's love language is always laced with tough love. He will roast his loved ones over things that may have embarassed them - so long as they aren't too embarassing or personal. He will try and force someone through their fears by making them face them head on. So his ribbing is one hundred percent out of love for Ash).
He is more interested in space than he lets on, but he has let Ash seemingly ramble for hours a few times over the course of their friend/family-ship. The infiniteness of space terrifies him, but the very real possibilities of what's out there excites him. He just wished he could understand it as well as Ash does - his intelliginece does intimidate JP a little.
John-Paul is able to open up to Ashton a little more than others. Even Charlie at times. If he was going to come out to anyone, Ashton would be one of the first people he told. JP feels no judgement from Ash and feels completely comfortable talking to him - although he does had his own limits of what he's willing to tell anyone other than himself.
He's caught the way Ashton looks at Jeremiah sometimes and he has fully tried to set them up. Discreetly of course - even though, when it's blatantly obvious, he wants to scream at the top of his lungs for them to just hook up already. Like he will mention that maybe Ash will be at some place Jeremiah is headed. Or he will bring either up to the other in conversation to guage their reactions. There was one time when he was drunk with Jer that he nearly blurted out his suspicions, but he was luckily interrupted by work. JP would not be opposed in the slightest to the two of them ending up together if something ever were to happen - fully believing Ash could bring out the best in Jeremiah.

Jeremy Fellows leaned back, one hand resting theatrically on his knee while the other theatrically waved a bowling ball around like it contained the secrets of the universe. “And just like the weather, folks,” he announced with a cheeky grin, channeling Paul Rudd’s signature blend of charm and barely-contained mischief, “If you throw it just right, you might strike gold—or just end up in the gutter like my high school gym class!” His friends roared with laughter as he prepared to take his shot, a comical mix of bravado and clumsiness radiating off him as he wobbled like a toddler on roller skates. With a final flourish, he released the ball, which rolled down the lane with all the grace of a hippo attempting ballet—only to veer dramatically left, careening into the gutter. “We SKIDD U NOT, folks! I swear this lane is as crooked as my last Tinder date!” he shouted, blowing an exaggerated kiss to the unsuspecting pins as if they had personally betrayed him. Turning towards the person behind him, Jer grins, "Already buddy, you ready to show the world how it's not done?" he teases his friend. @rededgerpstarterblog

🔸 INTERVIEWER: You're here for a man who all of us sort of hold in very high esteem, Freddie Mercury, a man who in as sense portrayed an Indian escence in his music, even though he wasn't bearing an Indian name when he was performing. Tell us about it.
Brian May: "Yeah, tell you about it? My impression is, you know, I haven't been in an Asian Awards before. These are the most glamorous awards I've every been to. You guys look so fabulous, and Freddie would have loved it."

A phone call/Secrets discovered
Son of Spy, Daughter of Scout, Chapter 2
Word Count; 1637
Hi hello! It's author Echo again with Chapter 2. It's another shorter one because its again another context/setup chapter because, idk. I'm going to be honest i don't have a lot planned for this fic except a uhm, a few things. So it's all going to be random but i promise i will make it make sense! Thank you for reading!!
Reblogs are heavily appreciated!!
August 23rd, 1968 1:05 PM New Mexico
The RED Team was winding down from a long long day of fighting Blu. They got ambushed at approximately; 3:45 AM and haven’t been able to rest until now.
Scout grabbed a Bonk out of the fridge and sat down right next to Demoman and Spy. With a sigh, he cracks open his can and takes a long sip before speaking.
“Boy, I sure am glad that is over…” Scout said, a grumbling agreement soon came from everyone else. It was pretty rough.
“Next time–” Spy starts, “--we will be the ones to have the jump on them”
“ja, absolut,” Medic replied with a grin “I’ll help plan the ambush”
“Get Pauling on it too,” Engineer hummed as he took a sip of his coffee “and you know where to go if ya need machines”
“Of course. But we also need to give a stealth lesson too–” Spy starts to motion to Scout, Demo, and Soldier.
Scout glares at Spy “I don’t need a stealth lesson!!! I’m plenty stealthy!!” he said with a pout and a scoff in his voice. He’s offended that Spy would assume he’d blow their cover
Spy rolls his eyes “Even if that was true–” “Hey!!--” “--everyone needs a refresher”
Scout flaps his hand like it was a mouth to mock Spy as he spoke.
Heavy shook his head. “Are they going to fight again?”
“Ja looks like it” Medic responds
A soft clicking of pumps against the hard tile flooring got closer and closer to the kitchen. Miss Pauling quietly opened the door and cleared her throat loudly, gaining the attention of most of the mercenaries.
“Scout, you have a phone call.” Miss Pauling said with a neutral tone, She’s just as exhausted as the Mercs as she was technically ambushed too
“Is it my Ma?” Scout perked up, immediately forgetting about Spy.
“No its a Miss,, uhm,” She looks at her clipboard to remember the name, “Sachiko Mina–” Scout jumps out of his seat and sprints down the hall to the phone, “--moto, huh” Miss Pauling looks surprised, he only does that if his mother called.
Spy’s eyes went wide with shock and nervousness, and Miss Pauling noticed. She looked him sternly in the eyes before pivoting on her heel and walking back to her office. Pyro turns and stares at Spy… silently
Scout runs to the Phone and  picks it up “Sachi?”
“Oh Jer! It’s so good to hear your voice again! How’s that factory job treating you?”
“Oh, you know how it is, all work and no play.” Scout chuckles softly “Anyways Chi, what's up? You never call unless it’s important.”
“Well…” Sachi starts “I’ve lost more of my sight, it cost me my job…”
“Oh, Chi–”
“Ah ah,” she silences him. “I have an offer to be a mostly remote editor for this publishing company in New Mexico. It pays a lot and it will only be for a few years–”
“You should move to my town then! It’s smaller and a little bit conservative but I know you and Lil Robbie will be safe” Jeremy cuts her off “I’ll even pay for the first few months of rent–”
“Awh Jeremy, you’re so sweet. There's no need to pay my rent~ Your mother bought my house and is going to take care of it for the next few years.”
A little brown-blonde-haired girl looked up at her mom. Thinking for a moment, she huffs and tags at her mother's skirt gently. She wants a turn on the phone
“Cool Cool… I’ll find a house for you though, if that’s alright”
“Oh please do, I have no clue where to… oh, hold on” Sachiko giggles and picks up her little girl. “Here Robin” She handed her the phone.
Robin held the very much adult-sized phone up to her ear with both of her hands and grins
“Jeremy! I lost my first tooth! It’s my front one” The little girl chirps happily over the phone
“Woah what?? Robbie, that's amazing! How’d you lose it?”
“I got hit with a baseball!!” She said so happily “You should have seen it! There was blood all over my yellow dress!!”
Sachiko shakes her head as her daughter laughs and giggles. Robin is, well she's a mini Jeremy, and that slightly worries Sachiko. She doesn’t want her daughter to be bullied and/or ostracized just because she plays differently from the other little girls. She knows how it feels and she doesn’t want her child to go through the same.
“Mommy Jeremy wants to talk to you again” Robin pouts at her mother.
“It’s about adult stuff, baby girl. Go to the kitchen and get and pick out an apple, I’ll peel it for you” Sachiko coos and sets her daughter down before putting the receiver back up to her ear.
“Hey, Chi, I don't wanna come off as nosey but, how are you able to still be an editor?”
“It’s just my peripheral vision that I’m losing, luckily I’m still able to see, walk around, cook, read, and type” Sachi explains with a gentle tone, she’s not sad about her condition, not anymore at least. She’s at peace with it.
“Chi, you can’t drive anymore, can you?”
“No I can’t,” She says somberly
“I’ll find a place that's close to a bus stop for you”
“Thank you…” Sachiko hummed “I have to get going, it’s Robin's snack time”
“Okay Chi. I’ll call you later. Bye”
Miss Pauling looked up from her papers, she was there for most of the conversation. She sighs and neatly stacks her papers before asking.
“So, Who is Miss Minamoto?” She asked inquisitively
“Oh, she’s a family friend back from Boston.” Scout starts to explain with a grin. “She and her daughter are going to be moving into the town near base soon so I can help out! When I can, of course!” He said, his grin growing prouder after he finished his sentence.
“Wow…” Pauling paused for a moment. “That's sweet Scout,” she said with a light smile.
“Nah, it's the least I can do for her. Plus her kid loves me to death, I’m like her pseudo big brother” He chuckled “I’d be a really good dad you know~” he cooed while propping himself on the wall like a cool guy
Miss Pauling sighs and grumbles, for once she thought they were having a nice conversation, of course Scout has to attempt to flirt, again.
“Scout”
“Yeah, Miss P?”
“Get out”
August 23rd, 1968 11:25 PM New Mexico
Miss Pauling yawned to herself as she walked throughout the base, making her nightly rounds and checking to see if the mercs were here for the night, but she felt a looming presence like someone was watching her, hunting her. Unnerved, she starts making her way to Spy’s smoking room, the feeling only getting worse as she gets closer to the door. It kept growing and growing until something touched her shoulder. Freaked out Miss Pauling turns around and goes in for a punch. Pyro silently grabs her wrist and stares at her in their soulless mask.
“Oh Pyro–” Pauling sighs out of relief when she sees them, “It’s just you,”
Pyro stares at her blankly as they let go of her wrist
“Uhm are you going to see Spy too?”
Pyro nodded silently and gave her a thumbs-up
“Why?”
Pyro stares before signing to her ‘The same reason you are”
Pauling pursed her lips into an O shape before nodding. They walked the rest of the way together. Pauling knocked on the door lightly before opening the heavy wooden door
“Spy, we need to have a chat,” Miss Pauling says, stepping onto the plush carpeting. Pyro walks in behind her, tracking muddy boots in on said plush carpeting.
Spy sighs to himself and puts his book down before turning to the two with a very disgruntled face. He glares at Pyro and looks down at the floor, he scoffs and looks back up to make eye contact with Miss Pauling
“What for?” he said with a scowl and a grumble in his voice. He’s tired of dealing with buffoons like Pyro, he just wants to relax.
“You looked quite shocked to hear the name Sachiko Minamoto. Explain.” Miss Pauling said with a stern tone. She crosses her arms against her chest and continues the stern eye contact that she holds with the Spy. She’s read the documents, she's on friendly terms with Spy, and she knows that Spy is Scout’s dad. To be truthful, everyone knows, even Scout knows. He’s in denial about it.
“Hm, even with them?” he asked motioning to Pyro
Pyro silently stares at Spy with their, cold, dead, mask.
“They already know.”
“I see.” He clears his throat. “I met Miss Minamoto while I was on an espionage mission in Japan, nothing more, nothing less. Are we done here? It seems I need to clean my carpet again.”
Pyro stomps on the ground slinging mud more places while also getting it even more into the carpet.
Miss Pauling stifles a small giggle before speaking again.
“Yes, that’s all we needed to know, goodnight Spy.” Miss Pauling said with a smile before leaving with Pyro.
“Bonsoir.”
Pyro wasn’t fully convinced that there's nothing more to Spy’s past with this “Miss Minamoto” character, but they’re pretty tired themselves so there’s not much more they can/want to do.
The heavy oak door closed loudly leaving Spy alone in his room. He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance
“Another piece of my past dares to haunt me yet again. I won’t let the guilt win. Not now, not never” He muttered to himself before going to clean the mud off of his carpet.

2 Peter goes on in more detail about these false teachers and false prophets. One of the main characteristics about them is their view on money and wealth. And the fact that, in Jude’s words, they run in the way of Balaam’s error and the sons of Korah’s rebellion. You won’t have to dig too deep to discover that there was money involved for a prophetic word with Balaam. I was pretty shocked to see how easy it was to find this out, yet how boldly people do this in so many churches these days. Many have been warned, yet they keep right on doing it. Just a study in 2nd Peter and Jude will get someone’s attention really fast, but they have no love of the truth. According to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, it is the love of the truth that would save those who are being deceived by the lie that is coming on the whole world. To love the truth will lead one pray for God to reveal it to them even if it’s not what they want it to be. The love of the truth will still want the truth even if they know it may prove them wrong.
You will hear it more and more as the end draws closer and closer of how the Bible is not enough, and how it’s got errors - and you will even hear of people adding to it. I couldn’t see how it could be possible 10 years ago even - but now it’s just right in our faces. The ones who are not grounded in the written word of God are falling for anything and everything. And we have all of the warnings and prophecies right there in print and all we had to do is read it and study it and we would not fall for any of it. The devil does not even have to be sneaky when there is no foundation there to protect them. Especially when people get to thinking they are too “spiritual” to be deceived - that they are “above deception” - because as soon as they reach that point they have already swung the door wide open and invited it in.
“Direct those people to the law and to the testimony! If their teachings are not in accord with this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:20
“Peter testifies to the God-given origin of Scripture and affirms that all the prophecy contained in God's Word originated from God, not from humans. This assures us that God's message is infallible (i.e., incapable of mistakes or failure, never wrong, completely true and effective in its teachings) and inerrant. (i.e., free from error, falsehood or deceit).
Infallibility and inerrancy cannot be separated, for the inerrancy (i.e., incapable of any error) of Scripture is the result of the infallibility (i.e., incapable of mistakes or being wrong) of God himself and his own Word. (2 Sam. 23:2; Jer. 1:7-9; 1 Cor. 14:37)
Peter affirms here about the God-given origin and authority of the prophecy recorded in Scripture is true about all things in his written Word: “men spoke and wrote from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." Believers must maintain a strong uncompromising view of Holy Scripture as inspired (i.e., given directly by God through Holy Spirit-led people of his choosing) and authoritative (i.e., completely reliable, backed by solid evidence and established authority). There are several reasons for this. (1) It is the only way to be loyal and true to what Jesus Christ, the apostles (i.e., those he personally authorized to deliver his original message) and the Bible itself teach about Scripture. Psalm 119 is a really good place to start.” (M.Hendrickson)
The Holy Spirit repeatedly warns that there will be many false teachers within the churches. These warnings against destructive beliefs and teachings among God's people began with Jesus (see Matt. 24:11, and were continued by the Holy Spirit through Paul in 2 Thess. 2:7, 1 Tim. 4:1, 2 Tim. 3:1-5, 1 Peter 1:1-22). Also John (1 John 2:18; 4:1; 2 John 7-11), and Jude (Jude 3-4, 12, 18). Once you start digging you will find even more. But the best thing to do is study - first praying for not only “truth” but for a “love of the truth” and pray for understanding, insight and revelation.

For your tf2 ocs, how do they get along with all the mercs and Miss Pauling? Like what kind of relationships do they have?
hehe oh boy :3 gonna go through this merc by merc- also i added the administrator and saxton hale for fun- under the cut cause this got LOONG with 3 ocs x 12 characters-
Soldier
Chemist has a teasing/antagonistic relationship with him, since he's The Definition of a hippy despite being a merc. Whenever soldier calls someone a dirty hippy he's just like 'what, you mean like meeee?' and soldier starts yelling at chemist. it's fine they're friends its like a cat purposely annoying a dog
Soldier has conflicted feelings about the artist- mostly because they're pretty quiet and timid and are scared of guns when they first get the job customizing them so soldier thinks they're a coward(true). But artist is always very respectful of soldiers totally real military rank so they're alright- this continues as artist comes out of their shell and gets more assertive and into weapons
informat doesn't spend much time interacting with the team honestly- he's just a contact of spy's not someone working for the administrator. That said he find's soldier's recklessness and genuine nature a breath of fresh air. Soldier is trying to teach him to rocket jump- but joey isn't hooked up to respawn so doesn't want to take the chance
Scout
scout reminds chemist of his younger brother- despite the pair being the same age- so he wants to give advice to scout. Scout, for his part, usually sees the advice as complete nonsense and doesn't understand why "looking like you're dying of the flu" would help him pick up chicks
him and artist get along pretty well! they sometimes hang out just to draw together. Artist is more than happy to let scout do all the talking, though they're fully capable of cutting in with a good joke now and then
I imagine poor jer had a bit of a crush on the informat when they first met. I think scout is into competent people and joey is very competent at their job. i don't think it lasted too long, but its sort of awkward for scout now.
Pyro
they smoke weed with chemist and sniper. best friend trio who hot box sniper's van
they make artist uneasy. They rely so much on facial expressions and even with how animated pyro is they have a hard time figuring out what they're feeling. It's an anxiety thing artist knows isn't fair to pin on pyro, but they can't really help it. They're working on it!
i dont imagine informat likes them. at least not at first. Pyro is a bit of an inverse of joey's specific Character Type that it's a sort of self recognition in the other kind of moment that joey isn't really equipped to handle. something about pyro wearing a physical mask but being so unabashedly themselves while joey wears metaphorical masks to the point they don't have any real clear sense of self left anymore
Engineer
i dont have much to say for chemist honestly. they're like. chill. idk maybe chemist annoys dell into cooking for him when he gets the munchies
Dell was introduced to this poor wet cat on the verge of tears who was scared of power drills and was forced into a job painting guns and went dammit I cant NOT help them figure out their damn job and they've been inseparable ever since. I imagine them in the crushing stage with dell dropping hints that he likes them and Monty being an idiot like 'haha its perfectly normal for friends to want to make out with their friends what do you mean you think i have a crush on dell???'
Engie doesn't trust joey much at first. he doesn't like the whole information field or how they seem to be always putting up a front. But that distrust waves as Joey slowly lets walls break down
Demoman
magic buddies! they hang out and talk about weird esoteric ideas about the universe and aliens and whatnot. good friends!
I dont really have much for the other two. I think he'd be good for building artists confidence and he'd probably get along well enough with joey but nothing specific jumps to mind
Heavy
for some reason i feel like heavy would adopt an older brother persona with chemist and try to get him to grow up a bit? i have no reasoning for this decision other than the fact that I like big bro heavy
he and artist trade book recommendations. heavy appreichiates the chance to practice his english and his literature degree at the same time
i think Joey's disguised but probing questions would set off alarm bells for heavy that make him shut down the conversation. probably best the two keep their distance lest joey find out something about heavy's family that heavy would rather him not know.
Spy
annoyed at the gross hippy tendancies of chemist. chemist doesn't like that spy works for the Maaan, man.
indifferent to each other. Spy feels a bit bad for them after getting curious and digging into their past and why they got shoved into merc duty.
he's professional partners with the informat. they run on a series of favors promised back and forth. they both have deep respect for the other and sometimes go out drinking together
Medic
on the one hand kind of offput by the human experimentation- on the other medic knows how to get lsd directly into the brain soooo
artist has a weird facsination with medic's work, even if you wouldn't guess that on the surface. medic enjoys having someone who's willing to listen to his ramblings about super baboon hearts or whatever
informat looked up everything he could find on medic after their first meeting. joey is very, Very scared of medic and what he's capable of doing while giggling like a school girl
Sniper
they like to drive into the desert and get stoned and look for ufos together. best friends!
you put two autistic people who are bad at starting conversations in a room together and see what happens. Absolutely nothing they never talk. Artist thinks sniper is scary cause they can't read his expressions and sniper is more than aware that artist is scared of him
Informat saw sniper wrestling a croc, got so horny he nearly passed out, and thought if they banged that would be it. oops turned out sniper's weird bluntness and outdoorsman nature have awoken long suppressed feelings in joey and he's fallen Actually in love and has no idea how to cope. somehow they start dating. sniper calls joey roo
Miss Pauling
is constantly trying to get pauling to calm down and take a break every now and then. it never works. pauling either appreciates the effort or finds it annoying depending how stressed she is
artist can't really get over the idea of her as their boss. they like pauling enough but its a very professional relationship
informat has deep respect for all the shit pauling goes through. shes incredibly good at her job, even if her job sometimes makes his job harder.
Admin
mark chemist down as scared AND horny!
god so scared. why are so many people constantly threatening them please they didn't even finish art school they didn't sign up for this!
knows far more than he should. Very invested in NOT finding out any more. Don't need to be on her radar.
Saxton hale
punching panthers is like, soo uncool man. think about mother nature!
looks up to his confiedence, also very put off by his confidence
Joey keeps a close on him for work. lots of people are interested in finding hale's weakness

Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
**********************************************************************
Ten Reasons the Catholic Church is the One True Church of Jesus while other Christian groups derive their elements of truth from her fullness.
1. The Bible is a Catholic book.
It was Pope Damasus’ Council of Rome in 382 AD which drew up the official list of the books of the Bible. Thus, Luther felt “compelled to concede” that his Protestant Bible was “received” from the Catholic Church. All Christians today trust the authority of the Catholic Church that what they read is the true Word of God and not a false text.
2. The Bible refutes the “Bible alone” principle.
The Bible says that the “Word of the Lord” is “spoken” (Jer 25:3), not just written. St. Paul urged us to “hold to traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter” (2 Thes 2:15). The Bible also tells of a Council’s authority, where Peter settled a doctrinal dispute and declared what “we believe” (Acts 15).
The Bible teaches that not the Bible or the Protestant interpreters of the 16th century and of the present, but “the Church is the pillar and the bulwark of the truth” (1 Tim 3:15). It also warns against “twisted” interpretations of Scriptures (2 Pt 3:16). While the Church has one teaching, there are now 43,000 evangelical groups with 2.3 added daily. Their views on the Trinity, on gays, etc. contradict each other. Since truth (e.g. Jesus is God) cannot be falsehood at the same time, real falsehoods are sadly being taught among these groups.
3. Jesus built his Church on a man he named Rock.
Jesus said “On this rock, I will build my Church and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven” (Mt 16:18-19). Jesus changed the name of Simon to Petros, Greek for Rock. He gave Petros or Peter, “the keys of the kingdom”, which the Jews knew to be the power of a prime minister of the King and chief teacher (Is 22:22). Jesus told him alone to “feed my sheep” (Jn 21:15-17). The Bible shows him leading the Church.
The early Christians referred to Peter’s Roman Church as “presiding” (Ignatius, 1st -2nd), “of superior origin” and standard of “true Faith” (Irenaeus, 2nd c.), “Chair of Peter”, “the principal” (Cyprian, 2nd-3rd c.), and “the primacy” (Augustine, 4th-5th c.). While the Catholic Church can give evidence of its unbroken link to Jesus and Peter, other Christian groups began their existence with their founders like Luther (1517), J. Smith (1830), and F. Manalo (1914).
4. Jesus and the Church are one.
It is not true the Catholic Church left the true Faith, since the Church is the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:27), and he is inseparable from his body. He promised that “I am with you always” (Mt 28:20), evil “shall not prevail” against his Church (Mt 16:18), and his Spirit “will guide you into all the truth” (Jn 16:13). He told his Church: “He who hears you hears me” (Lk 10:16).
5. The Bible says we are saved “not by faith alone”.
The Bible used Luther’s phrase “by faith alone” only once: “a man is justified by works and not by faith alone” (Jas 2:24). The Bible also says that “what counts is faith working through love” (Gal 5:6). While Catholics and Protestants agree that Jesus alone saves us, Luther in the 16th century inserted without basis the word “alone” in his German translation of Rom 3:28 (“a man is justified by faith”) in order to support his personal interpretation that a Christian is incapable of cooperating with God in his salvation.
6. The Bible and the early Christians believe in purgatory.
As shown in their tombstones, the early Christians followed the Bible: “Pray for the dead that they may be loosed from sins” (2 Mc 12:46), for “nothing unclean can enter heaven” (Rev 21:27). It does not make sense to pray for the dead if they only go, as evangelicals say, either to heaven (with faith in Christ) or to hell (without faith). Jesus spoke about forgiveness in the age to come (Mt 12:32) and St. Paul stated that those judged by God are “saved but as through fire” (1 Cor 3:13-15).
7. The Bible and the early Christians believe in the Catholic sacraments.
Jesus gave the Apostles the power to “forgive sins” (Jn 20:23). Peter taught that “Baptism now saves you” (1 Pt 3:21) and thus is not a mere inciter of faith. The Bible speaks about “anointing the sick with oil” (Jas 5:14-15), two kinds of laying of hands (Acts 8:17; 2 Tim 1:6), and marriage in the Lord (1 Cor 7:39). Jesus repeatedly said that “he who eats my flesh has eternal life”. This is no figure of speech, for he did not give in when “many of his disciples” left due to this “hard saying” (Jn 6:48-68), and St. Paul taught that he who eats the bread unworthily is “guilty of profaning the Lord’s body” (1 Cor 11:28). Ignatius of Antioch said “the Eucharist is the flesh of the Redeemer,” Irenaeus “we receive the bread as Jesus”, and Cyprian “Christ is our bread”.
8. The Catholic Church is salt and light.
Modern secular historians of science, economics, university education, human rights, international law, hospitals and Western art are showing that Catholic priests, scientists and thinkers were behind the foundation and great achievements in these areas, acting as salt and light as Christ foretold (Mt 5:13-14; Woods 2005). In his Church, he still works his miracles: Eucharistic bread turning into blood; appearances of Mary; heroic saints; cures and sacred images that are scientifically unexplained; saints with stigmata, powers of healing, bilocation and prophecy, and incorruptible dead bodies.
9. The Catholic Church is catholic.
Jesus “desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim 2:4), thus his real Church is universal, evangelizing in all parts of the world with more than 1.2 billion members today. Compare this with the 2nd biggest Christian group, the Easter Orthodox Churches with only 230M (1/5 of its size) mainly found in Eastern Europe; the Anglicans 85M (1/16); Southern Baptists 16.3M (1/73), Mormons 14.7M (1/81) and Iglesia ni Cristo 6M (1/200).
10. Jesus and the Bible glorify his mother.
Catholics do not worship Mary, but follow Jesus’ ways. He obeyed the fourth commandment: Honor your father and mother. Honor in Hebrew is kaboda, which means to glorify. The Bible calls Mary “Mother of my Lord” (Lord = God) and says all generations will call her blessed (Lk 1:43.48). It shows that she is the New Ark of the Covenant, the woman clothed with the sun, crowned in heaven with twelve stars (Rev 11:19-12:1). To honor his mother, Jesus’ last message to us on the cross is: Behold, your mother (Jn 19:27).
