Firstly the album art is GORGEOUS. It's definitely my favourite album cover so far!!!! Second favourite is circe.

Aphrodite and Ares are pretty much the same as the first look we got so no shocker I love this! Athena sounds so annoyed when she said ares like he's an annoying sibling like brother don't ruin this for me damn it!

Hera!!!!!! Absolutely love how dramatic she is it feels game show-ey if that makes sense yea it was short but it was effective

Zeus sounds a bit dramatic given how short all the parts have been it really doesn't feel like Athena had to do a lot to convince them but oh well I love the vocal performance

Ares' quiet "Is she dead..?" Then we get snippets of Athenas musical motif till it extends into a full blow warrior of the mind instrumental? AAA live for it.

Tldr. Really liked this saga and the voices were absolutely amazing!! Good work on everyones parts!

Just because I didn't like something or wasn't fully overjoyed by it doesn't mean it's bad! With Epic there really isn't anything that's bad the worst is just something that is still really enjoyable!

... I need to get work done and make important calls, but all my mind is thinking of on repeat is my F/Os in gowns!!! I am all teary eyed they'd look so gorgeous and pretty and handsome and I would probably wear something that's a mix between a suit and a dress/gown and aaaaaaaaaaaa. And the fact I know which ones would be embarrased and which don't really care what they wear and just aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Like! Megan and Kitty would rock a gown. There is no question they are both extravagant enough, though Megan would pretend he doesn't like it, "too expensive, frivolous,". Kitty is owning it, all eyes are on him he is just... He is magnificent and aaaaaaa.

Lipstick (poor guy needs a proper nickname) wears it and looks gorgeous, but is slightly on the shyer side. He won't go dancing for long, but might spin me for a waltz.

Marshmellow is embarrased. He is uncomfortable, even if he looks amazing, so instead of a gown he'd wear... Hm. Not a tux, not a suit... Probably would get a very good looking paintjob and a cape of some sort.

My dear Kyogai is unsure and had to spend quite some time finding one that was to his taste and didn't feel too restrictive, but also worked for the occasion. He probably decided to go with something more traditional for his source material, and he looks gorgeous. I have to look if a kimono would be what he wears...

Sendak is not a fan of loose fitting/flowy garments. Not good for combat, doesn't matter if there will be none, a Galra is always ready. He'd wear a gorgeous looking suit or special armour and cape.

Blackie would go for a gown, since he wears his suit on all ocassions. Besides, he has to get my attention back to him for the night, and away from these lesser villains.

Flint... Oh Flint. He'd look amazing with his hair in a... A hairstyle I can't remember at the moment, think of the bun Belle has. It would look like a galaxy with golden threads and accesories that sparkle when he moves. He looks gorgeous.

My Spicy chicken nugget will wear a gown but won't waltz if he does. He'll dance in clothes correct to his source material, maybe in a suit that was styled in a certain way,but if he's put in a gown, he's spending the evening sitting at a table.

Dino is wearing a gown. There is no questioning it, he's wearing it, he looks amazing and he knows it. Unlike Kitty he flaunts it, stealing me away from whoever I'm dancing with all smug. Don't start fights you bastard, this is supposed to be fun for everyone!

Knocky is wearing it and would coax Breakdown into one too, though Breakdown decides to get a paintjob instead and a cape. He looks even more dashing and Knocky is smitten. Also Flint and him have a staring contest over their clothes/accesories. They make remarks and poke at eachother and their golden accesories. They in fact do bond over it.

Mandrake (oh dear, I forgot about you I am so sorry) would wear a cobweb coat with a suit that does have the kind of billowy sleeves. Kind of connected to his cape I think, or maybe he'd get a special pelt just for the ocassion. A rare creature of some sort and really bring out the charm. He'd look amazing I bet. It's a dress, yet not. He'd dashing, yet wicked. Oh how I love the bastard.

Thraxy preferrs a suit with a sort of skirt-like fabric at the bottom. Like a bottom billowy part of a coat, but fancier and with less weight when he spins. But if he finds a proper gown? Something that really calls out to him? Oh baby, I might die on the spot, he wears it so well.

Aqours 2nd Live at Nagoya! Photo Dump and Song Comments

I’m back from attending both days of Aqours’ 2nd Live concerts at Nagoya! (I’m also tired and probably should be asleep right now.) Here are some thoughts and some pictures. (No pictures from inside the concert area, since no photography or filming was allowed.) Long post ahead.

Pre-Live Adventure

I got to Nagoya the night before the first day of the live! Nagoya station is big and it can be pretty confusing, so it took me a while (with my slow wifi) to figure out how to get to my Airbnb.

On the first day, I got onto the first train to the venue to line up for merchandise sales, or 物販 (buppan). People often take the first train to start queuing so that whatever they want doesn’t sell out by the time they get out of the queue for buying goods. Aqours’ 2nd Live also has exclusive IC card stickers for the first people to buy goods, so that’s another incentive for me to have gotten up early.

A decent picture of the venue, Nippon Gaishi Hall. The station closest to (and connected to) the hall is pretty small and trains aren’t necessarily that frequent, so the queue to even get onto a train after the first day’s concert was fairly long.

After getting my goods, I went over to Tokyu Hands Nagoya, which had a section for Love Live! Sunshine!! merchandise, including early release of some cute HAPPY PARTY TRAIN charms and clear files. Perhaps RIko is best girl for someone working here…

Furirin mentioned that she likes uirou in her 2nd Live Q&A, so I decided to try some before the concert. (Ruby too!) They’re a little thick for my taste, but not bad at all.

Heading back to the venue, the convenience shop in the station was selling noppo pan (which Hanamaru is fond of) and Aqours-branded water. Out of the noppo pan flavors I’ve tried (caramel, cream, peach), cream has been my favorite!

The Live

Onto the actual concerts. You can find the set lists from Love Live! Wikia tweets: Day 1 and Day 2. As expected, they did great, they’re amazing, I love them, please take my money, etc. Songs I have particular comments on (though I was happy with all of them!):

Shoujo Ijou no Koi ga Shitai: This song isn’t one of my top tunes, but the dance was really cute. Sora mo Kokoro mo Hareru Kara: This was so pretty. The second years’ outfits were simple but effective, and the screen + visual effects reflected the tone of the song well. Waku-Waku Week: MY FIRST YEAR KIDDOS THIS WAS SO HYPE AT LEAST FOR ME HADKLAJDKLHA:DWAHULI. I’m a bit disappointed that the crowd didn’t do the giran/giran/zura/maru/pigi/pigya calls at the last chorus, but I’ll always do them anyway! G Senjou no Cinderella: The third years were gorgeous in their dresses… everyone else looked good too, but they were in simpler black dresses. This song is a lot of fun. Daydream Warrior: Yoshiko colors all around for this. The bass was really loud, so it was hard to hear the singing sometimes. Lighting and visual effects helped make for some cool choreo. Thrilling One Way: IHAUDGKDAJHBAK EVERYONE WENT HARD ON THIS SONG AND FOR GOOD REASON 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Kaigandoori de Matteru yo: This is my favorite of the most recent CYaRon! songs, so I’m glad it got performed both days. The hand motions during the chorus (which they taught us) are fun, and I was very happy to hear Furirin’s “zutto matteru” in person. I LOVE CYARON! Most of the songs hadn’t been performed live before, so the night was full of surprises. I enjoyed the experience immensely (and I better have, since it was expensive to get these tickets…): not only getting to see them sing and dance (already awesome), but also being the atmosphere of being in a stadium and cheering along with 10k other people who love Aqours as well.

In terms of actually viewing the performance, it was hard to see if you were in the back portion of the arena (especially if you’re not that tall), so while I was in the arena area my first day, I mostly had to stick to watching the screens instead of the seiyuu. Live Viewings are actually pretty good alternatives if you want to get a good view.  (…I wish it were easier for foreigners to get tickets to these things too.)

Now I’m really tired, after putting in so much energy into these concerts, so it’s time to check out for the night, but hopefully this is enough!

This drew me in. She drew me in. I am done for. Holy heckie, each section was unique and the personality section with the impressions made me want to scream. I can see her character clearly!  Ane Uyeno though to speak her name is bad omen thus she’s been rendered to the title of Hamestu no Miko ( Priestess of Ruination ).  Hamestu works just fine.

unaging yet looks to be in her late teens, early 20’s. Exact age is undetermined, though she claims to be older than many peoples’ generations.

Appearance

as fate would have it, her appearance is the same as it was all those years ago when she was sacrificed in the name of a god that she did not know. Her hair no longer grows, it also no longer dies. Her nails no longer grow, they are as they were that day she was offered.  Her overall appearance is fair normal, long jet black hair that reaches down to her waist, a fitting body figure for her type - slenderly built limbs ( though by no means are they weak ), painted nails though its only a base coat. Her distinguishing feature is her eyes, oh her eyes. They see more than the human eye, they’re not normal eyes by any means. They shine vividly with an otherworldly tinge as if they’re the eyes of a predator far above this mortal plane. She has brands, so many brands but you won’t see them ‘pon her porcelain skin. They have found home within her body, within the muscle underneath the layers of skin. Cut her open and you’ll see them, those damning markings that were placed upon her.  Her walk and gestures are peppy, fluid. They’re too fluid, even. It makes you wonder how she can move in such a manner after all she has been through, after all the torture she has felt upon her body and mind. She smiles, she smiles a lot. Almost constantly so, it’s unsettling. The curve of her lips don’t seem friendly but it mimics that of sincerity. She has learned how to play the part of her prey, to blend in without issue. She is the wolf in the skin of the sheep as her clothes.

Impression #6: Help me.  a woman who cannot be described in normal terms. all that comes to mind is she is weird. she is abnormal. she unnerves me.  i regret meeting her, despite her allure. she is a true predator among this earth. all should avoid with caution. she charms you in by acting normal. by acting like the prey. by seeming like she is one of us. it’s a lie, all a lie. it’s a ruse, a mechanism for hunting. she knows we’ll fall for it. why don’t we learn? whatever made her did a damn good job at replicating a demon that imitates god. she sweet talks you, this is what drags you in. i fell for this, what a fool i am. do not fall for it, i beg of you. she’ll only pull you further and further into hell. do not follow her, do not respond to her cooing. ignore her, ignore this beast! yet, to ignore her only provides a more worthwhile hunt for her. we can never win. if we ignore her, she stalks us like the predator she is, watching us, observing us. she’s such a good pretender. so very good. how many has she fooled before me? how much blood is on her hands? why does she hunt us? why…does she exist? please, avoid this alluring woman. she will only bring to misfortune. only bring you misery. only bring you hell.

nigh immortality  →  no longer ages and will no longer die by a means of old age or disease though she can be killed. predator’s adaptation  →  she has the ability to blend in to normal society and conceal her inhumanity to those of normal standing. beings of the supernatural / higher standing creatures will be able to detect she is not human. presence intimidation  →  can cause fear / unease in other creatures just by her being there. typically scares off animals but causes minor unease in people.

blood magic →  can use blood to cast magic / preform rituals. usually her own blood though due to the circumstance of her sacrifice, only untainted pure blood can be used outside of her own. becomes more ‘mad’ the more she uses it, rots her mind and reason further. blood transcendency → ability to transcend using the blood of others for empowerment.  she can only transcend if given the blood freely and she can only ingest blood as a source of food as a permanent side effect.

Extra

she intakes blood from various sources to feed her insatiable blood lust that comes from both her sacrifice and blood magic. she runs a graveyard called mugen jigoku which corresponds with Avici which is the lowest of Hells in Buddhism that torments souls for eons that it feels as if they’re there for eternity.  her services are free for burying the dead but her methods behind the graveyard gates are uncertain.
