It’s no secret that Theodore Nott had a rough childhood

Between witnessing his mother’s death at a young age and having a particularly ruthless father, Theo learned to be quietly reserved early on

1000% Theo is an introvert

Despite being seemingly closed off, he’s extremely observant and good at reading others and picking up on things quickly

While he may not be the best at deciphering his own emotions, he’s able to sort through others’ easily

This makes it easy for him to be rather manipulative because he knows what makes other’s tick and how to go straight for the jugular

He may be distant and off putting in the beginning, but once you get close, he’s a clingy bastard because he doesn’t let many people get close, so once you make it there he’ll basically hold you captive forever

He’s also stupid smart

And this makes him a bit of an arrogant asshole

Theo is the one that Mattheo goes to with his dumbass ideas and Theo’s response is generally something along the lines of-

“Absolutely not you tosser. If we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it right”

Queue Mattheo’s initial plan- only methodically planned out to cause maximal amounts of emotional trauma for the Hogwarts population

Theo and Mattheo are also a chaotic duo on the quidditch pitch

Theo is a chaser

Making the quidditch team in his third year is one of the only times his father showed a hint of satisfaction with the boy

Being on the Slytherin quidditch team, he’s often labeled a preppy jock

And Mattheo does help him break out of his shell more

But he’s a nerdy lil book worm at heart and likes to be holed up in the library most days

Theo also has quite the reputation of being a ladies man with rumors about his escapades swarming the student body

But really they’re just that- rumors

He may have had a fling or two, but isn’t one to kiss and tell

He has a hard time entering a real relationship

Mostly because when he first realizes he’s caught feelings, he’s convinced he’s actually just ill and stays in bed pretending to be sick

But once he comes to terms with things, he’s one determined wizard

Makes sure everyone knows that you’re off limits (possibly before you know yourself)

Do you have Out of Bounds planet in your chart?

Out of Bounds (OOB) is quite literal terms. OOB planets want to push the acceptable limit in society. The energy is running wild, free, and heightened. Maybe even chaotic if underdeveloped. How does OOB manifest in the chart?

Out of Bounds planet are the planet in your chart with more than 23°27′ declination (the infos are varied from 23°26′ to 23°28'). Meaning that it moves outside of Sun's gravitational domination.

Since the planet is out of the Sun's dominion, OOB planet acts on it's own. Either way, OOB planet emphasizes on its need for independence. OOB planet may exhibits extraordinary, unusual, and out-of-norm behavior. It is also associated with creativity and eccentricity. Think of Uranian or Aquarian energy, something like that. Some sources said that the higher the declination is, the more extreme a planet behavior can be. However some articles also mentioned that the degree doesn't matter. Generally, OOB adds pressure and turbulency in a chart (esp Moon).

Not every planet can go OOB. The Sun, Lunar Nodes, Neptune and Chiron, for example, cannot go out of bounds. Meanwhile, Mars, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Pluto can go OOB. Jupiter can go OOB, but it is a rare phenomenon.

Enter birth time and generate chart as usual

After you have the birth chart, click on the PDF Additional tables (bottom left)

You will have a pdf file, look at the planet positions column (i used Jackie Chan's chart here). The Red colored number indicates the planet that exceed the declination limit, either to South or North.

You can also check your OOB progressed status here. Sometimes progressing planets can become OOB or ceased to go OOB (return to normal).

Which OOB planet do you have?

Out of Bounds Mars

Mars is the planet which have most occurrence of OOB. Mars can travel up to 27° declination. The manifestation of OOB Mars will depend on the sign as well, but generally the typical assertion in Mars will turn into heightened instinct & physical energy. You may think OOB Mars is violent (although in some cases it can be), but it's mostly found in courageous, creative, and ppl with leadership skill. Other than that, OOB Mars can be an indication of great athletic / sports skill (Jackie Chan has OOB Mars). They usually want to do things their way.

There is always a reason. Many reasons. The most glaringly obvious one is that if you don't like how he presents himself. Yves's existence already challenged a wide array of norms that had been established since the publishing of the bible. Maybe you don't like that he's a "man", "cosplaying" as a "woman". He knows a lot of people didn't, many of his old scars hidden under his turtleneck are there to prove that. Perhaps he's too good for you, unintentionally reminding you of your own inferiority. Perhaps, like what was described, he is too composed and put together that it seems suspicious.

And he understands that. He cannot please every category of people he comes across. This could mean you hating his entire being and viciously attacking his character for being the way he is. Yves accepted that, but it doesn't mean it hurts him any less. He may try his best to accommodate your wants, he can be malleable but only to a certain extent. His hair and makeup carry the weight of emotions and memories that you can never experience, and his mannerisms make up the legacy of all the crucial fragments of his life. Yves has his own identity and he cannot lose that. Without one, he knows he will fall apart and wither, all of his hard work will be for naught and you will be left unprotected.

And the rest of the test kitchen is the OCS ladies who feel sympathy to varying degrees (Camila, the kitchen manager, is SO sympathetic. Lilith, who idk is a supertaster who is always doing stuff with fine dining, is NOT at all and actively makes fun of Beatrice throughout said breakdowns). Ava has her own show, which I haven't figured out yet, but it's something very stupid. Like, she has to make extremely fancy meals without any sophisticated cooking equipment or she has to reverse engineer fancy meals and always ends up making a complete mess of it. Something very chaotic idk.

Anyways, our idea was that part of the AU would be Beatrice on camera, dying inside, and Ava starts showing up more and more to help Beatrice with ALL kinds of stuff, like, as soon as a blow torch is involved, Ava is THERE. And she helps Bea with the creation of all kinds of insane tools to help her in her insane task (a la Brad) and their banter and flirtation is legendary. Which brings us to the OTHER part of the AU, which would be like... social media reactions to these videos and all the people in them, because Erin and I love social media AUs so so much. So yeah, it would flip back and forth between these two things. But we can't figure out how to make it work because so much of the charm of Gourmet Makes is Claire interacting with the camera in this specific way and that doesn't really translate well to fic form. So we're just thinking about it all the time, whenever we watch Dessert Person or go back to Gourmet Makes. (But also, fuck Bon Appétit and fuck Adam Rapoport.)

Yes, I'm not Okay.

Suddenly, I found myself wondering—am I truly living as me? Are the choices I make truly my own? Am I living a life that pieces together the puzzle of who I am? These days, all my energy seems to go toward just enduring, and as I sit here feeling the slow tightening in my chest, these thoughts come to me.

Perhaps it's not the right way to phrase it, but it feels as though my emotions are being squeezed. The emotions I carry are as varied as the moments they arise in, yet when they take hold of the mic and begin to speak, the room they echo in feels so small, so suffocating—just so stifling.

I wonder how long I’ve been feeling this way. I haven’t had the courage to reflect on it before. My situation hasn’t allowed for much time to look back—30% because I’ve had no choice but to look ahead, 60% because I’ve come to believe there’s no solution in revisiting the past, and 10% simply because I’ve had no energy left to think about anything. The first signs of this began in March of last year, but it was just another hurdle to overcome—a process I could manage.

Then, around December, I hit another rough patch. It was hard, but by May of this year, I thought things were finally getting better—until I somehow managed to mess things up again, for reasons even more incomprehensible than before. I’ve just been going through the motions like a zombie since. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if what I’m doing is really worth all this. I want to do it, but somehow, it just doesn’t seem to work out, ha.

At some point, I experienced a personal heartbreak. I think this is the first time I’m writing about it. It was an amusing story, one that people around me say would be unbelievable even if I shared it on YouTube. I suppose everyone believes their own experience is the hardest and most painful, and in the midst of that universal human trait, I found myself caught in that whirlwind too.

Not long ago, I got a message from him. “How have you been?” After receiving that text—two months after the last one—I stood still for a moment, looking at the chaotic room inside my heart. Though logically, I knew that whatever words you might say to me held no real meaning, and that I should cover my ears even if you clung to me, deep down, I guess I just wanted to know if I ever truly existed in your world. The truth is, I liked you too much, and after you were gone, my heart was too messy. Even now, if you were to reappear, I doubt I’d be strong enough to stay firm. I’m foolish like that.

But despite all these challenges—both in work and in my personal life—I’ve kept moving forward. I haven’t taken a single vacation in 2023 or 2024. Not because I had some grand mindset or a resolute determination to do great things. I just kept thinking that I wasn’t in the right emotional place to take a break. “What right do I have?” I told myself. “I might as well do something instead.” But during that time, I learned something: if a person decides to do nothing, they really can end up doing absolutely nothing. It’s terrifying how time flies when you’re just breathing and not really living.

It might sound like a boring conclusion, but I realize now that what I’ve been lacking isn’t time—it’s emotional space, courage, and resolve.

These days, I spend more time observing myself. I think it’s because I want to ask, “Are you okay?” When I look at the version of me just hanging on, I see someone fragile, unstable, and pitiful—sometimes even unhappy. In truth, I’ve been irresponsible and incompetent when it comes to the things I promised myself I’d do. That’s who I am right now. So, as I ask myself how I’m doing, I lower my gaze 45 degrees, choosing to become a zombie again, throwing my soul back into the colorless, aimless rhythm of life.

I started writing because I want to get better. I know how irresponsible and terrible I’ve been. I want to change.

Honestly, I’ve never really shared my story with an unspecified audience like this before. I say that humbly, but in truth, I don’t think I’ve ever done it at all. But now, for some reason, I feel like I need to—whether anyone listens or not. It doesn’t matter what kind of impact it has, as long as it leads to some sort of change.

And I want to be honest.

As I said at the beginning, I’m not sure if my choices have truly aligned with who I am. If I keep going like this, I feel like I’ll lose myself completely. In the past, writing just for myself has helped keep me going, but this time, I’m hoping that by being even more honest, I’ll find the courage and the reason to stop living solely for myself and start preparing for a life that goes beyond me.

I know it sounds lofty. But really, I’m writing this because I want to live. -------------------------

요즘 그저 견디는데에 모든 에너지를 쏟으며 뭉근하게 조여오는 나의 가슴을 바라보고 있자니, 이런 생각이 든다.

주어 동사가 서로 안맞는 말일테지만, 심정이라는 것이 조여온다. 때마다의 나의 심정은 매우 다양하겠지만 그 심정이라는 것이 마이크를 들고 자기 이야기를 하고 있노라면, 그것이 울려퍼질 수 있는 방이 매우 협소하고 갑갑하고.. 아주 그냥 깝깝~~한 느낌이다.

 이런지가 얼마나 되었는지 한번 돌아보아야겠다. 그동안 나는 이걸 돌아볼 용기가 없었다. 과거보다는 좀 더 앞을 봐야했던 여유없는 상황 30% + 복기하고 돌아본다고 해결되는 게 없다는 포기60% + 그냥 아무 생각을 할 힘이 없기도 한 내자신 10%의 합작.

아주 시작은 작년 3월이었지만, 그럴 만 한 걸림돌이었고, 이겨낼만한 과정이었다. 

작년 12월 즈음, 또 한번 재미없는 그르침이 있었고, 어려웠지만, 올해 5월에는 뭔가 되는 듯 했지만, 그다음 그간 있었던 것 보다 더 이해할 수 없는 이유로 일을 그르치고, 

좀비처럼 그냥 지내 왔다. 사실상 뭐 그렇게 대단한 일을 한다고 이렇게 해야하나 싶기도 했다. 하고싶은건 맞는데, 그냥 하면 될거같은데 잘 안된다 암튼, 하하.

 그러고나서 중간에 한번 인간적인 실연을 경험했다. 글로는 처음 적어보는거같다. 

재미있는 경험담이었다. 어디 유튜브에 사연을 올려도 안믿을 수도 있다는게 내 주변에서의 평가.

누구나 자기의 경험이 가장 크고 어렵고 힘들다고 생각할거고, 그런 인간의 보편적 특성 가운데, 나 또한 그 안의 소용돌이 안에 있었���거겠지.

얼마전에 그에게 메시지가 왔었다. “잘지내지?”라고. 그 문자를 약 두어달만에 받고나서 나는 어지럽혀져 있던 내 마음의 방안을 잠-시 가만히 서서 바라볼 수 있었다. “’그런’ 너에게 내가 무엇을 어떤 말을 듣던 그것이 무슨 의미이냐”, “설령 바짓가랑이를 붙잡아도 귀를 막아야되는거 아니냐” 라는 ‘이론적인 행동강령’과는 달리, 나는 너에게 내 존재가 존재하긴 했는지는 내가 알고싶었나보다. 사실 너무 많이 좋아해서, 네가 없어지고 나서 내 마음이 너무 많이 어지러웠어서, 지금도 다시 네가 눈앞에 나타나면 나는 아주 단호해지기는 힘들거같다. 그만큼 나는 좀 어리석은 면이 있다.

아무튼, 아무쪼록, 그렇게 일적인, 감정적인 문제들속에서도 나는 앞으로 나아갔다. 2023년, 2024년 모두 나는 휴가없이 2년을 보내고 있는 중이다. 뭐 엄청 대단한 마음으로 대단한 일을 하기 위한 각오로 휴가없이 일을 한것이 아니다. 스스로 ‘휴가를 갈 (심적) 형편이 아니다’라는 생각안에, ‘그럴바엔 하나라도 뭘 더 하지’, ‘그럴 자격이나 있나’ 라면서. 근데 그러는 동안 나는 무엇을 느꼈냐? 정말 사람은 아무것도 안하려고 하면 아무것도 안할수있다는거. 정말 숨만쉬면서도 시간이 잘 가는 생각해보면 소름끼치는 현상을 경험했다.

되게 심심한 결론같이 느껴질 수 있다. 그렇지만 그런 나를 보면서, 나에게 부족한것은 시간이 아니고 심적인 여유이고, 용기나 결단력 같은것이란 생각을 한다.

요즘엔 내가 나를 바라보는 시간이 많다. ‘너 지금 괜찮니?’ 묻고싶은 심정이라 그런거같다. 버티고있는 내가 위태로워보이기도 하고, 불안정하고 불쌍해보이기도 하다. 때론, 불행해보이기도. 그런데 사실 내가 하기로 한 일에서의 나는 굉장히 무책임하고, 무능한 편이다. 현재는 그렇다. 그래서 나의 안부를 묻다가도, 그냥 45도 아래로 시선이 떨구어지며 다시 그냥 좀비가 되는것, 뇌를 빼버리는 것을 선택하며 내가 도망갈수있는 무채색 호흡의 관성에 다시 내 영혼을 던져버린다.

무기력하기도, 무력하기도 한 내가 이렇게 글을 쓰기로 시작한건, 좀 더 나아지고싶어서이다. 나도 알고있다. 내가 지금 얼마나 무책임하고 나쁜지. 나도 달라지고싶다..

나는 사실 나의 이야기를 불특정 다수에게 이렇게 해본 경험이 거의 없다. 겸손하게 말해 거의 없고, 내 기억엔 실상 아마 아예 없다.

근데, 지금은 뭐랄까, 그냥 누구에게라도, 불특정 다수에게라도 뭔가 말로 다 할 수 없는 영향을 받고 어떠하더라도 좋으니 무엇인가의 과정을 통해, 변화를 만들어내고싶다.

그리고, 솔직해지고싶다.

아까 처음에 말했듯이, 나 다운 것과 내가 선택한것들이 온전히 일치했는지 잘 모르겠더라. 더이상 이런식으로 가다가는, 내가 완전히 다 없어질것같다.

나 혼자만을 위한 끄적임이 그동안 나를 일으켰었지만, 이번에는 더 더 더 솔직해짐으로써, 나 혼자만을 위하기 위한 삶이 아닌 삶을 준비하고 싶어하던 나에게 좋은 용기와 이유가 생겼으면 해서, 그래서 글을 쓴다.

We're all unique snowflakes, but I think divorce & drugs & alcohol exists so we can try to calm down from all the anger & rage we feel when we can't get what we want, or the way we want to be treated or remembered.

Essentially if anger is as murder, Hell is basic entry level for everyone—so if GOD sent HIS SON to die on the cross in our place to avoid this Hell & lead us thru life by HIS HOLY SPIRIT; & HE says there is only 1-way forward & JESUS is the way/truth/life, that no one comes to the FATHER except thru JESUS. Why in the world would we ever avoid HIS easy yoke? Why wouldn't we ask HIM in to show us the way?

We clearly don't have life/truth/way to GOD, unless we accept JESUS, life/death begins forever after we're ejected from earth.

Sorry for the delay! Had to try to formulate my thoughts. I want to preface this with the following:

1. While theology is interesting, I’m not well-versed in it.

2. I’m a fairly open-minded person and my opinions and beliefs may further evolve over time.

3. I’ve only read parts of the Bible, not the entire thing.

4. I’d consider myself more spiritual than religious and some of my beliefs are gonna differ from many Christians. (A big one is that I believe in reincarnation.)

With that being said, I’m gonna put my reply under the cut:

Yes, I have and do. I feel that my relationship with God deepens in times of crisis and I turn to God every day to help give me strength to pull through. I pray to him every day, multiple times a day.

As for the second question, depends- are we talking about pursuing a life with God or a life with a person? For people, I’d say what gets in the way is my fear and distrust and instability. I’ve been hurt a lot and it’s hard to truly allow myself to get close to people. I’m also incredibly drained from both my mental & physical health issues, so it makes it hard to invest the time & energy I want to give to people. We also have consider that technically one way or another, a human will leave you in some capacity at some point. And, also, no one is 100% selfless.

Now, if we’re talking about God- I suppose it’s down to distraction and temptation and, again, fear that gets in the way of a further commitment.

I kinda disagree with the Alice quote to a degree. I think the paths we take are important as they each have different experiences to offer. On one hand, I believe that no matter what path you take, you will arrive at certain points that are predetermined. However, those paths up to those points are filled with different experiences due to our choices. We have freedom up to a point, but there are experiences and lessons God wants/needs us to have over the course of our lives. (And sometimes those experiences are not for ourself directly, but for something to help us in the future. For example, to help someone through something you’ve experienced and help progress their journey.)

I will say, that while it’s important to think things through, sometimes it’s better to pick a path and see where it leads rather than to stay stagnant. One way or another, we wind up where we need to be, even if the process is chaotic.

Interesting point. Drugs/Alcohol could be used in an attempt to escape or quell our emotions, but it often can just make things so much worse. Our emotions aren’t the only reasons we may turn to drugs/alcohol, though. Similar with divorce- sometimes it’s a good thing, sometimes it’s a bad thing, sometimes both. And the reasons divorce happens varies.

Here’s where we’re going to disagree. I don’t equate anger with murder. Can anger lead to murder? Sure. Can it ruin relationships? Sure. But I’m not one of those people who believes if you think something, then it’s as bad as if you committed the act. It’s good to find ways healthy, non-destructive ways to deal with our anger, but having anger in and of itself is not a bad. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but anger serves a purpose. We just have to be careful to try not to hurt others.

I also disagree on the Hell being basic entry level. In part, this has to do with my personal beliefs about the afterlife. I believe in reincarnation, as well as heaven & hell. For me, I believe that you spend lifetimes reincarnating, each life providing lessons and experiences you have to try to learn from, your soul being shaped over time into the best being it can be. As such, I believe most people will actually get to heaven, even if it takes them a long time. I think you royally have to mess up over many lifetimes, hurting many people, to wind up going to hell. Ultimately, I think most of us embrace our second chances, even if it takes us a few tries of going down the wrong path.

I also think intent is important. We’re not perfect. We make mistakes and sometimes we hurt people in the process. We must move forward with the intent to become better and kinder and not repeat past mistakes. And even if we don’t always succeed, I think God can recognize when we’re trying and help in his own way.

I don’t think the yoke is always easy. For some it may be easy; for others, it may be very hard. Especially if you live in communities that twist things and try to convince you that what they want and believe is what God wants from you when that isn’t necessarily the case.

I think if you fully commit yourself to God, that’s probably going to include some degree of sacrifice. And it’s probably going to require some discipline. It’s very easy to veer off and try to do as you please, seeking instant gratification.

Another thing we have to consider is that not everyone believes in God/Jesus. And, personally, I’m fine with that. I’m not here to push my beliefs onto others and I also don’t see them not believing or believing in other gods as a bad thing. Again, I think it’s about intent. If you’re trying to become a better, kinder, more well-rounded person, then that’s what’s important.

And, personally, I think even if you don’t have a relationship with God/Jesus, if you keep your eyes open, if you learn from the world around you and your experiences, you will eventually find yourself where you need to be. You will become who you were meant to be.

God is in everything, even if we don’t see it.

Lastly, I don’t think we can ever be fully prepared for our final existence. But, also, again, if I were to die rn, I believe I’d get reincarnated (whether that be soon after or if it takes time). I think my soul has existed for a long time, but it still has much to learn and work on.

What is this about the season 5 "Bible" being leaked? What happened, where and when??

And most importantly, is it any kind of trustworthy source and where can that be checked and confirmed?

Right now both here on Tumblr and on Twitter I see nothing but vague enough posts ABOUT the supposedly leaked season 5 Bible and while I'm glad that you guys in the ml spoiler tag didnt go total apeshit disregarding everyone else... I would still like to know and find out about this leak to be sure that someone out there isn't completely making a fool out of us other fans with a fake s5 Bible leak. I don't want to say that I don't believe this Bible leak exists at all, but it is suspicious enough that when I look it up I actually only find posts talking ABOUT the Bible, what it supposedly said and people asking to IGNORE said Bible. But never actually the Bible itself or anything DIRECTLY from the Bible that isn't just passed down words.

Cause I'm gonna be honest, Miraculous has a massive spoiler, leak and overall chaotic release culture unlike any other show I have witnessed yet. And we fans are completely desensitized to all of this and don't question this kind of stuff anymore the way we should. If there is any show I can see someone successfully pull of a fake final season Bible hoax right before the season starts its definitely Miraculous.

The only thing I found that I can say is definitely credible is that Thomas Astruc acknowledged the leak in a tweet and didn't call it out as a fake or anything right there and then

But even here it's important to not just jump to conclusions right of the bat and acknowledge that there is still a big grey area free for interpretation to be read in this tweet. There is NEVER just one way to read something like this and the original intentions behind it also can vary widely. I learned to be very VERY careful with vague stuff like this. Especially with as little information as I can actually find online for the Bible leak (much less the leak itself) I just wanna throw out there that this may not be a direct "no" to discredit it, but at the same time this also isn't a direct "yes" either.

It's an acknowledgment that the Bible leak exists and that there is something about the matter that Astruc definitely takes seriously. But what the aspect of the content of the Bible is that he takes serious and to what degree can not be said from the tweet alone.

Let's say hypothetically the Bible leak is a huge fake and incorporates 15 big informations about the season, 13 of it are bullshit but 2 actually managed to hit the nail on its head. Then for these 2 informations alone this tweet would be warranted since Miraculous leaks and spoilers have the tendency to go viral incredibly fast with people taking too much at face value. Miraculous is in an increasingly vulnerable position regarding potential fake leaks, more than any show I have ever seen.

Look, don't read this as me saying I deny the possibility of the Bible leak actually being real and that whatever is spreading around the internet right now is not to be taken seriously at all. Of course not.

I'm just asking to step back a bit, look at the situation at hand and the actual informations you have to go off of and question it more than just on face value. This is the internet, false information are spread like wildfire and theoretically speaking, every information you get on the internet should be questioned for its biased and background while being taken with a healthy dosis of caution.

I guess I'm not so much asking for you to not take the leaked Bible itself seriously, the situation I see probably just rubs me the very wrong way because I can't find too much substantial and credible when I'm looking for it online now which makes it seem like a prime example of people (especially young people/kids like the main audience for miraculous would be) being taken advantage of, manipulated through false information and desensitized to believing sourceless news/informations on the internet right of the bat.

I guess where I am getting at here at the core is to please be careful with informations and leaks like these. Check the sources, anything official you can put your trust in and most importantly take everything you see with a grain of salt. I'm not saying don't believe it at all, acknowledge the possibility that it might be true but keep at the back of your head that there are countless ways for this to have played out behind the scenes than you assumed at the first glance and that you simply don't know what the actual truth in this regard is.

Acknowledge the information but also acknowledge how little you know when it comes to big stuff like this, especially when there isn't alot to find source-wise. Miraculous is a fictional story so there is not too much harm being done to not take fact-checking this super seriously. But there are endless examples like this regarding the actual real world and real world problems where source wise you get just as little and people are getting taken advantage of and manipulated on grand scales by other people with the needed know how to believe false informations.

Miraculous is fictional but the desensitizing/manipulative nature leaks/spoilers can have (especially as massive as it always happens with Miraculous) are very much real and I guess I'm just asking you guys to be careful.

I find it hard enough to sometimes actually take any tweet of any of the ml screw members seriously and at face value because they simplify or straight up contradict what's going on it the show to a degree I refuse to support. And now someone anonymous leaked the s5 Bible and I can't find too much credible about it?

He doesn't mind if you talk in a convoluted way, in fact he probably likes it. He's been alone for so long, and hearing all kinds of new ideas and stories is refreshing to him. Malleus would encourage you to go on with whatever you were rambling about, resting his head on his palm while watching you with a soft smile on his lips. He'll likely ask you to go on strolls with him often so that he can show you new places, but also so he can hear you talk about anything. You could be talking about the classes you had that day, a random video you saw on Magicam, etc.

Malleus will respect your boundaries nonetheless. If you don't feel comfortable talking about certain subjects, he won't push it. He knows how people can want to keep certain things private, and he's lived for a long time to understand how important it can be, so he won't cross boundaries you have. If you do want any sort of comfort however, even if you don't explain why, he has open arms. He might not be the best at cuddling or giving hugs since he's not used to it, but it's still nice to be close to the fae.

A big neural net reviews a smaller neural net's recipes

I’ve used various neural networks to generate recipes, to varying degrees of success. My earliest recipes were generated with char-rnn, which had to learn everything - spelling, punctuation, words - entirely from scratch. Its recipes were terrible (Swamp Peef and Cheese, anyone? Or Chocolate Chicken Chicken Cake?). Later when I started using GPT-2, I was using a neural net that had already seen a lot of recipes online during internet pre-training, and its recipes looked a lot more realistic (although not entirely realistic - there was that recipe for Black Forest Cake that suggested pouring the batter into a toaster, or the jello recipe that starts with “remove all internal rinds”).

GPT-3, an even more powerful text-generating neural net, has seen so many recipes during its internet pre-training that its recipes are boringly plausible. Bake its Black Forest Cake recipe and you’d probably actually get cake at the end, even if it’s not the best cake in the world. Its recipes aren’t funny at a glance, which is why I haven’t posted any of them - until internet linguist Gretchen McCulloch suggested that, rather than have GPT-3 generate its own recipes, I have it rate char-rnn’s recipes. Readers, it worked.

I prompted GPT-3 with two example recipes from allrecipes, each followed by 3 of their human-written reviews. Then, for the third recipe I inserted one of char-rnn’s recipes:

Chocolate Chocolate Cake

And then I let GPT-3 add reviews. Would it mention the excessive lakes of vanilla? The complete lack of flour? The foolhardy reliance on the heroic efforts of a single egg yolk to hold things together?

It does kind of make sense that GPT-3’s recipe reviews aren’t directly complaining about the utter weirdness of char-rnn’s recipes. Probably very few of the recipe reviews in GPT-3’s training data involved baffled complaints about nonexistent or repeated ingredients, or apocalyptic levels of recipe failure. So GPT-3 has learned that even the critical reviews tend to fall within a certain sentiment range. It’s interesting that it tries to emulate char-rnn’s primitive neural net glitchiness - I’ve noticed before that GPT-3 seems to be capable of pretending to be a much simpler neural net.

Subscribers get bonus content: After generating a few reviews, GPT-3 would sometimes go on to generate new recipes (such as “BBQ Cheeseburger Salad” which contains lime jello, whipped topping, and sliced black beans). It may have been deliberately trying to make them terrible to fit in with char-rnn’s recipes.

If Taurus and 2H represents material values, Taurus takes a read of someone's first impression in their value systems; whether its material values or moral values, Taurus and Venus (celestial ruler) will be the first to note your perspective on life and living and will apply this to their perception of you. They kissed!!! well, Brainy kissed her (And it's strange, I was convinced that if there was a kiss, Brainy would make the first move) Can you imagine what it meant for him to do it? Brainy had missed this. So much, in fact, that a part of him didn’t want to give it up. Of being here on the Legion ship, with Nia Nal and no one else.

After all, for the next half hour, there would be no world ending threats. No calculations to commit to memory, no multi-dimensional planes to map out exact co-ordinates for. The ship’s route was pre-programmed. For the first time in far too long, Brainy realised that he could relax.

Of course, recent factors had made such a concept unthinkable at first. Undue stress had complicated his emotional control, thwarting what little progress he’d made with Lena. Comfort eating had become somewhat habitual over the last few days, and even after every coping mechanism Midvale High’s expansive list of extra-curricular activities had been able to teach him, nothing had wanted to stick.

Nothing until he’d heard her voice.

Nia singing. So softly at first, arms tucked awkwardly around her chest, as though afraid to be heard by anyone other than herself. But then she’d met his eyes and, in that moment, she’d smiled a smile that had lit up his world.

Brainy could still see it so clearly in his mind, had reserved an entire thought track for that memory, playing her song over and over whenever his more volatile emotions tried once again to rear their head.

He could hear her now, a distant murmur of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, calming the frayed edges of his nerves still agitated from two days’ worth of close calls.

Nia hadn’t just saved the day. She had saved him. Pulled him back from the brink of total emotional meltdown. Indeed, he hadn’t felt this at peace with himself since removing his inhibitors, and he had certainly never felt this sure of his emotional state.

Right now, he felt hope for the future, of course, but there was something more. Something comfortably warm that flooded through his chest and stomach, itching through his blood like static. He felt giddy. He felt happy.

He felt love.

He had always been capable of those emotions - had felt them in varying degrees throughout his life - but looking at Nia now, even while she was sat halfway across the room, flicking through that old Midvale newspaper with a soft smile on her face, Brainy realised he had never felt it this profoundly before. His love for her swelled inside of his chest, urging him to close the distance between them then and there, to spin her in his arms and never, ever let go.

He could still taste the sweet bite of her lip gloss on his tongue. Ardently, he wanted to kiss her again. But, this moment was still, undisturbed, and he did not want to ruin that.

So, instead, he remained in his chair, switching aimlessly through the settings via telepathic control. He found it far too easy to slip back into old patterns, half spinning about the main control deck to dissuade at least some of the nervous energy that was steadily building inside of him.

It wasn’t stress this time, but felt just as chaotic, swirling in his stomach, unwilling to still for even a moment. It would have done no good to try and box this feeling away and so, Brainy closed his eyes, falling back onto his thought track of Nia’s song.

Within moments of seeing Nia’s smile fresh in his mind, the tension in his shoulders began to ease and Brainy breathed out, relaxing steadily into his chair.

He only realised he’d started humming the song out loud when Nia’s actual voice caught him by surprise – far closer than he had expected.

“Brainy? Everything okay?”

He blinked open his eyes to find Nia stood in front of him, arms folded, brow furrowed with concern.

Brainy smiled, it appeared he was doing that a lot more lately. “Everything is… perfect,” he admitted. “More so than it has been for a long while.”

Nia smirked at that, biting her lip. She reached out for his hand, running her fingers gently across his knuckles. “You’re sure?”

Brainy relished the feel of her touch, nodding firmly. “One hundred per cent.”

“Those are pretty good odds,” Nia agreed solemnly, squeezing his hand. “But, um, I think we can do better.”

A bubble of something caught inside Brainy’s chest. He swallowed it down, suddenly far too aware of the insistent beat of his own heart. “That would be… statistically improbable.”

“But not impossible,” Nia said. She took a step closer, her legs brushing against his knees. “How much time do we have before we get back to our Earth?”

Brainy blinked, quirking a brow. “Not long, just under thirty minutes before we breach Earth’s atmosphere.”

Nia’s next smile glimmered with mischief. “I can work with that.”

“Work with that – how?”

“You said earlier that you’d forgotten how good emotions could feel,” Nia said, lowering her voice. “Maybe I can remind you of some of the best ones.”

Before Brainy could ask her to elaborate, Nia’s arms curved around his back, fingers pressing firmly into the nape of his neck. Brainy shuddered involuntarily, the static in his blood exploding into shrapnel, piercing every exposed nerve. Nia’s touch felt electric, hot like a pulsing fire; her nails dug teasingly against his neck as she tugged them up and through the back of his hair.

Their faces were so close now; Nia’s right knee was balanced precariously in the space between Brainy’s legs, allowing her the purchase to pull herself towards him.

Nia��s smile was radiant when she murmured, “What d’you think, Wildcat?”

Brainy opened his mouth instinctively, welcoming her lips a moment later. The heat in his heart blossomed outward as he pressed hard into the kiss, a low groan catching inside his throat when Nia’s fingers clenched around handfuls of his hair.

The sound must have startled her, for Nia began to pull away, appearing worried she may have acted too impulsively. Brainy’s heart stuttered at the loss of contact and, desperately, his teeth latched to her bottom lip, urging without speaking for her continue. That he wanted her to continue.

Nia laughed in response, the warmth of her breath scattering across his face as she cupped it in her hands. Brainy’s eyes fluttered shut and he sighed out, taking Nia’s arm as she relaxed further against him. 

When her lips met his again, they were softer than before, more inquisitive, but it wasn’t long before she deepened the kiss, and Brainy was more than happy to match her enthusiasm. When his hands found her waist, Nia gasped out against his mouth, the sound alone increasing the blood rush in his ears.

By the time they parted, Brainy realised he had to pause to catch his breath. He blinked upward. His lips felt tender, and his mind was hot and clouded, but it was still. Every thought track had paused its course, instead shifting all focus to one Nia Nal. 

Brainy scanned every inch of her, chest hitching and falling with the frantic beat of his heart. He drank in every aspect of her expression – the joy glimmering in her eyes, the grin that split her face wide open, the exuberant happiness that he found he shared with her without even needing to try.

She was wondrous, stunning and so, so beautiful. Brainy felt for a moment that he must have certainly been dreaming. How else could he have been so lucky to have Nia in his life?

“So,” Nia said breathlessly, tracing her hand beneath Brainy’s chin, leaving a prickled warmth wherever her fingers touched. “Did it work?”

Brainy answered her question by kissing her again, tugging her so suddenly that she lost her balance and toppled halfway into his lap. Brainy grinned against her lips when she laughed again, his hands exploring every inch of her back, scratching insistently against the netting of her dress.

Thirty minutes, Brainy thought.

It appeared he could work with that, too.

So not going to lie, I’m still quite unsettled with the events that happened a few nights back. Now, I completely understand that people don’t wish to see any degree of fighting/debating as the world is already chaotic enough, and Tumblr is often used as a place of escape/relaxation.

But please understand in turn that sweeping away an issue that intersects with my identity is also exhausting. I’m just a bit unsettled that my voice was silenced when I was merely attempting a calm, collected conversation. I’m unsettled that LGBT individuals were, to my knowledge, the only ones blocked (especially in light of avoiding homophobic/biphobic claims). And frankly, I’m unsettled that any of this was an issue to begin with.

I wasn’t done talking, nor done explaining the issue at hand. The discussion wasn’t over. And I was cast aside as a “pot-stirrer/drama starter” for attempting to talk through an issue very near to me. It’s just a bit disheartening to be labeled and treated as such, and to watch the more aggressive/insistent individuals carry on like nothing ever happened. Is this not an issue?

In case anyone needs further context-

I was defending an author and her respective headcanons from being attacked, as were a few others. Anons were insistent on tearing it and her down, even though she’s well within her right to interpret the text/characters however she wants. Said anons began to stir up things on another blog, and subsequent harmful words were brought to my attention. In an attempt to talk things through, defend the author, and perhaps right some wrongs, I engaged in discussion.

Yes, it was a post on someone’s blog. Yes, people are well within their right to post their opinions on their own blogs. But also, this is an interactable, public space. I don’t believe publicly posting something makes it exempt from comments/discussion. Especially, when it’s wrongfully calling out someone I respect.

I completely understand that don’t like/don’t interact can also apply to blogs. For example, I see many posts/headcanons I disagree with, but choose to carry on and ignore them, simply leaving people to their individual spaces. But once again, with someone being clearly misconstrued before me, it was something I couldn’t quite ignore.

I wasn’t trying to “start drama,” nor was I trying to be any sort of aggressor. I was simply attempting to talk things through- particularly if there were any sort of misunderstandings. Because, from my eyes, it seemed like there were plenty. It seemed like so much was getting lost in translation, ie-

The Misunderstanding: If you don’t believe Peeta Mellark is canonically bisexual, you’re biphobic/homophobic.

The Actual Argument: If you don’t accept others headcanoning Peeta Mellark as bisexual or any other sexuality, you may want to examine your own biases/viewpoints.

The Misunderstanding: You cannot headcanon/believe Peeta Mellark to be straight/heterosexual.

The Actual Argument: You can headcanon Peeta to be literally anything you want, as long as you respect others who share differing opinions.

And, even from our side, I thought there could have been a potential misunderstanding. Ie-

The Potential Misunderstanding: Peeta Mellark cannot be anything other than straight.

The Potential Argument: I believe Peeta Mellark to be straight for xyz reasons in the text, but accept the headcanons/the views of those who think differently.

However, when I tried to bring up the latter point, which was admitting my OWN fault/misunderstanding in the discussion, I was blocked. I simply asked if the blog in question accepted others having the varying headcanons, and I was blocked.

This already didn’t sit well with me, as it seemed to be silencing LGBT discussion. Which, for someone attempting to avoid the harsher “homophobic/biphobic” labels, such an action appeared quite contradictory. This later intensified when I learned another LGBT aligned user was also blocked. To my knowledge, no one else who later engaged in the discussion was blocked. And many users were making similar comments/engaging in similar levels of debate.

That was one issue, but the other issue that I find bothersome the “writing-off” attitude this is receiving. Again, again, I completely and wholeheartedly understand people wanting to avoid debate-aligned topics. I know we’re all hurting from 2020, and I know times are hard right now. But if people are hurting and feeling uncomfortable from an unresolved issue, why is it okay to simply treat it as “haha petty fandom fighting?” 

I know I’m dredging this along when it has already died out in a lot of people’s eyes. I get it. But from someone who was repeatedly told that I couldn’t possibly be gay because I’d never dated/slept with a woman, and was consequently forced into a deeper place of self-questioning/loathing, please understand that such a hanging topic makes me agitated. I don’t wish to be silent. I simply wish to respectfully talk/debate wherever necessary.
