that viral tweet about clothes looking dead on Taylor made me sooooooo angry tbh. the writer can meet me in the pit.
#it made me so angry for a hundred reasons#But mostly because it missed the truth in its own lie#and the truth is that âin the BEST way âTaylor always looks like herself#and always looks âŚâŚ kind of wholesome and straightforward#in her own words she is neither edgy sexy or cool#not inherently#she can make the vigilante shit outfit (and dance tbh) seem businesslike after a while#but thatâs not âas the writer believes âdue to a lack of personality but an excess of it!!!!#and the girl is not sexy in the way of packaged pop stars. she has no slinky oozing charm#she is straight as an arrow and completely vibrant and completely a girlâs girl#she is also a dork!!!!!#(a good thing)#This is why I think about the rep tour version of Dress all the time đ#the softness đđđ the colors đđđ the joy the humor the funđđđđđ#Iâve never seen an explicitly physical love story (which dress is) told with those qualities#like. Revolutionary tbh#but yeah. Taylor no matter what sheâs wearing remains herself and the truest parts of her shine through no matter what

To My Unmasked Friend in the Fifth Year of COVID - By: Anna Holmes - Published Aug 17, 2024
Iâm going to be honest with you, because I love you, and you deserve nothing but honesty. Iâm going to try really hard not to be angry while I do it, but itâs probably going to slip out every now and again. But I need you to hear me out, all right?
By now, weâve talked about my reality. My personal struggle with long COVID, the isolation I live in, why I am so angry all the time.
But letâs talk about you. You just went to a big convention overseas. You got on a plane, got a little gussied up, talked shop with some insiders, geeked out over awards and merch, ate, drank, were merry, left with your social cup and your heart full.
Youâre a good person. We wouldnât be friends otherwise! Youâd never dream of tripping a person with a red and white cane, using the r-word, excluding a disabled person from an event because of something they canât help.
You might even acknowledge that the COVID response from governments and organizations has been ableist and inadequate.
But you didnât wear a mask.
For whatever reason â you wanted to show off your makeup, it makes you itchy, you believed the messaging that COVID is endemic (what does that actually mean?), you just donât think about it anymore â you made a choice that actively excludes people like me from participating not only in an event like a convention, but society at large. And yes, it is a choice. Every time you step out into the world without a mask on your face, you have made a decision that your very good reason, whatever it is, supersedes the right of disabled and at-risk people to exist safely in your orbit.
Well, hold on, you say. Itâs not any one individualâs fault, itâs the inadequate public health messaging. Isnât that what youâve been saying?
And I have. In the past, I have talked about how it is unconscionable that health authorities have thrown their hands up and rescinded guidance that would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives and prolonged a pandemic that, to hear them tell it, has been bested. It hasnât. Worst of all, the financial motivation that we all know is driving this premature victory lap isnât even being fulfilled. Long COVID and other post-COVID complications are costing the global economy one trillion a year. Meanwhile, article after article handwrings about nobody wanting to work anymore, about the sagging college application scene, about declines in military enlistment, and the strain on our healthcare systems.
All of this is very much the fault of our leaders, who have decided the political ramifications of ânormalcyâ are more important than the health and lives of the 400 million people living with long COVID across the globe, the immunocompromised folks who are increasingly being shut out of every conceivable public space, and the disabled community which has been screaming into the wind about our marginalization since before the virus even hit US soil.
But I want to be very clear. You are helping them do this.
The reality is that we have been living in this deeply flawed landscape of âpersonal choiceâ, and youâve made yours. Youâve opted not to look into how densely clustered cases are. Youâve stopped listening to your friends who have informed themselves. Youâve given yourself permission to put COVID on the back burner. Youâve earned it, right? Four and a half years of trauma?
COVID doesnât care if youâre tired of being scared or careful or considerate. COVID is not something you can personally overcome by being smart or virtuous or brave. It is a virus which only seeks to infect and replicate, and it is getting very good at those things. While youâve looked away, my community has been scrambling to avoid variants that skirt immunity and donât show up on rapid tests until day five-seven. The constant battle has changed since you were last in it. Itâs not sufficient anymore to get your shots and test before a big event. You could well be asymptomatic and infectious, or have symptoms and convinced yourself it canât be COVID because that second line hasnât popped up.
You have come to the conclusion sometime between 2022 and now that you just have to decide what level of risk youâre comfortable with and live with it. The problem with that is scale. Itâs you and everybody else doing that, and a lot of people have decided they are comfortable with a high level of risk. Despite what youâve been told, youâre not just making that decision for yourself. You are making it for every person you come in contact with.
Think back to the early tense days of 2020. We were told to select a âbubble.â Those people would be our social lifelines, and through those, we could control our exposure.
My bubble is quite small. It includes my husband, my sister, and two friends I see relatively frequently.
My husband goes to work via the bus, and to the grocery store. Every person he comes in contact with there has the potential to infect him, and then he has the potential to pass it along to me. He mitigates this by wearing a well-fitted respirator at all times.
My sister goes to work at a busy public place. She masks when public facing and takes it off in the back office. She goes to restaurants, bars, concerts, hangs out with friends and her own partner unmasked. About 75% of her interactions have the heightened potential to infect her, which she might then bring into my house when she visits me.
My friends do not mask anywhere except my house when asked. They attend concerts, shows, cons, bars.
Obviously, I am in control of whether I wear a mask around these people. And as we approach one million new cases a day, I will be around everyone but my husband. But science is clear: reciprocal masking is more effective at infection control than a single person masking â especially when that single person is trying to protect themselves, not others.
This is settled science. Weâve known this since 2020. It says clearly that the choice you make is not personal- it has implications for everyone you come in contact with.
And being clear â if I could, Iâd make everyone wear a mask for their own health. I donât want people suffering with what I have. But youâve been told this lie that you can take your risks for yourself, so you feel comfortable going out without a mask. Youâve been told this lie that itâs possible to completely recover from a COVID infection, so you assume that even if you do catch it, thatâs whatâll happen to you, despite evidence showing that every body is indelibly changed by an infection, and that risk only grows with each subsequent infection.
And the greatest lie of all â that only the sick or elderly have anything to fear from COVID â has given you unfounded confidence in your own âgoodâ genes or immune system or fitness. You can get long COVID even if youâre in peak form â in fact, may even be more likely to be hit hard.
So you have decided, individually and collectively, that only the sick or elderly should have to take precautions, and you freewheel through life, only to get surprised and dismayed when you bump into COVID in the wild. Itâs back, people declare every summer or winter, as though it ever left.
But I want you to really think about the implications of your choice. Besides yourself. Because letâs be honest here, thatâs who youâve been thinking about, right? Your risk. Your comfort. Never mind your bubble, never mind the bubble of everyone you come into contact with, never mind the people like me who are literally hiding from people like you.
Youâre not masking at the doctorâs office. Youâre not masking at the airport. Youâre not masking at the giant superspreader you just attended, and youâre not masking in the bars and restaurants where we know the virus flourishes. And then youâre bringing that exposure back to your family and friends. Back to the grocery store, where you run across people like my husband, shopping for someone who is unsafe to leave the house, or your elderly neighbors, or an immunocompromised employee.
Youâre a good person, or you like to think of yourself that way. Thatâs why when youâre asked to mask, you dismiss it out of hand â because that changed behavior implies that youâve been doing something wrong.
And my friend, Iâm telling this because I love you: you have been. You might have been doing that on faulty information, but be honest with yourself and with me â youâve heard me begging people to take this seriously. Youâve seen the information Iâve been sharing. You have had the opportunity to seek out the correct information all along, and you have chosen not to.
It isnât too late to change your view of the risk youâre imposing on the people around you. Itâs not too late to push public health to become more effective. Itâs not too late to act in solidarity and be the inclusive person you think you are. Itâs not too late to take care of yourself.
Ultimately, thatâs what I have been screaming myself hoarse about. I donât want you to end up with what I have. I donât want you to inadvertently impose that on someone else. And yes, Iâve been angry, because youâve been advertising your absolute lack of concern with group shots of your naked faces on social media. It doesnât seem to bother you that I am stuck at home like itâs 2020, except for doctorsâ appointments that I literally have to risk my life to go to. Youâve told yourself that itâs not your problem, because only the sick and elderly have to take precautions.
You know better. You can do better. For your community, yourself, and me, do better.
Please. I love you.
Anna
PS. If youâre feeling upset and embarrassed right now, the best thing you can do is take action. Get yourself good masks (the surgicals and cloth ones donât cut it anymore), donate to mask blocs so others can access good masks, write to your representatives and the President, comment on upcoming CDC guidance, schedule yourself a booster, and talk to your loved ones about doing better, too. The only way we get out of this is with community care. So care.

[Joel Masterlist][Main Masterlist]
Not beta read
Kisses down low
His initial reaction when youâd told him was very much a Joel reaction. It startled you at first how angry he seemed, not at you of course.Â
âWhadyaâ mean no oneâs ever done that before?âÂ
You just shrugged it off a little ashamed for whatever reason. He noticed your obvious discomfort and you shrinking in on yourself and he certainly couldnât have that. He calmed down a bit and asked you to explain. Your first real boyfriend didnât think it was worth his time and another partner made you feel self conscious about it so you just stopped asking.Â
Joel had to take a few deep breaths through his nose and cursed the idiots who passed up the opportunity to appreciate you the way he knew you deserved. You never passed up the chance to show him how much you loved and cared for him. It was hard in the beginning for him to understand someone could love him so unconditionally, even with all his flaws and shortcomings. In the short time youâd known each other you brought out this side of him he thought had been long dormant. He had more patience, a lust for life that he thought was lost when Sarah moved away for college.Â
Heâd reassured you that he was willing to wait as long as you needed him to until you felt ready.Â
You could tell he was doing his very best to be patient. Every time you were intimate with each other heâd give you his best puppy dog eyes as he rested his head on your stomach, waiting and hoping maybe this time would be a yes. Even through the noâs he could tell you weâre entertaining the idea. Letting it roll around in your head that Joel would never make you feel ashamed or embarrassed.Â
âI promise Iâll make ya feel good sugar.â He rasps against your ear as he lays all his weight on top of you. He stopped trying to fight you when youâd told him how it grounded you after sex to have his broad body pressing you into the mattress.Â
âI know itâs justâŚI canât get out of my head.â You gasp as he rolls you over on top of him.Â
âThatâs exactly what Iâm tryinâ to doâŚget you out of that pretty little head of yours and let me take care of you.â His voice is desperate as his hands rub up and down your back. It wasnât often you got Joel in the position to beg so you decided next time you would trust him to do what he said.Â
 ****
âJust relax baby girl.â His deep husky voice is muffled as he lays kisses to your thighs. Heâs been slowly undressing you, making sure you were thoroughly distracted.Â
Your breath stutters a little as his strong hands knead at your breast. His fingers tease your nipple and the whine that leaves your mouth already has him desperate to have you making more of those sounds.Â
âJoelâŚwhatâs it feel like?â You ask, feeling a little nervous again.Â
He rests his head on your thigh while he continues rubbing soothing circles along your side and your arms. In all his years heâs never practiced this much restraint with anyone. Heâs never wanted anything so bad in his life and heâll be damned if you arenât one hundred percent comfortable with what heâs about to do to you.Â
âWhy donât ya think about it like a kiss.â You nod your understanding as he hooks his finger with one hand and taps your hips to have you lift them. He slowly pulls your panties down your legs and grinds his hips into the mattress at the sight of you.Â
Joelâs got you so worked up you can feel the slick dripping out of you onto the mattress below. Youâve never felt so protected and yet so vulnerable. So exposed and also powerful at the same time.Â
 âJesusâŚyouâre prettier than a peach.âÂ
You chuckle a little at his words and the fact that you donât think he meant to say it out loud.Â
His broad shoulders settle between your thighs as his thumbs spread you open. You can feel his warm breath fan across your lips and just that sensation has your head dropping back against the pillow. He doesnât mean to laugh but he had no idea how sensitive youâd beâŚheâs barely touched you and youâre shaking like a leaf.Â
Joelâs rock hard in his jeans, not having bothered to strip down. When you said you were ready he only had one thing on his mind and it damn sure wasnât gettinâ comfortable. All heâs been able to think about the last few weeks is how heâll be the first one to claim you, to taste you and make you come apart on his tongue. In his mind he already owns you and your willingness to submit to him has him daydreaming more than heâd care to admit.Â
âYou ready sweetheart?â His voice is almost unrecognizable as he stares at his prize already soaking wet for him.Â
You nod feverishly as his mouth descends on you. You suck in a breath as his tongue wastes no time working you open. His strong hands grip your thighs as he licks and sucks at your clit. Youâre so keyed up it feels like youâre embarrassingly close to your first orgasm as you clamp your hand over your mouth to quiet your moans.Â
One of his hands reaches up to you as he clasps his fingers in yours. âNuh uh baby girl, Iâve been waitinâ ages for this. I want to hear all those little noises you make.â
He dives back in, his big nose rubs at your clit while his tongue dips into your hole. A high pitched whine leaves your mouth as you instinctively reach down with your other hand to tug at his curls. Heâs growling into your pussy, so drunk off you and the way you taste. âFuck JoelâŚplease.â You whimper into the air as you buck your hips, seconds from cresting over.Â
Joelâs never been so turned on by the sounds youâre making. He can tell youâre close and the swell of pride in his chest that youâve fully let go for him is something he canât describe. He almost feels bad for what heâs about to put you through because thereâs no way heâs going back to the way things were before. Your poor little pussy is gonna be so abused by the time heâs had his fill of you.Â
âCome on baby.â His eyes meet yours as you fight to keep your head up. He knows you can do it, he can feel the way your thighs clench around his head. He wants to see if you can without his fingers, wants to watch you fall apart on his tongue as he wrings every last drop of rational thought from your brain.Â
His tongue circles your clit in swift motions as you let out an inaudible whine. Your head drops back between your shoulders as your heels dig into his back. You can barely get out his full name as your climax rocks into you, your vision is sparkly behind your eyes as you hear him whispering sweet words far off in the distance.Â
It takes you both a moment to catch your breath as he places kisses along your thighs just resting his head there. Not even wanting to bother with the damp spot on the mattress where he came with you. He doesnât even care or feel embarrassed when he canât remember the last time he felt this good.Â
âJoelâŚâ Your voice is a little hoarse as you clear your throat.Â
 âYa sugar.âÂ
 âCan weâŚdo that again?âÂ
He huffs out a laugh in a small moment of triumph. âAnytime you want.âÂ

Game Night
Azriel x reader
Summary: Game night with your mate and the IC. Safe to say your ready to fight Cassian. Mostly fluff at the end
I was inspired after the game of monopoly with my cousins. it was extremely chaoticđ
I leaned in even closer my head resting against his chest, his head ever so slightly resting on the top of my head. I was sat, very comfily, on Azriel's lap his wings cocooning us into a warm and peaceful environment.
"Az? Can you stop making y/n so comfy?" Mor asked from across the room choosing her character. I looked up at Azriel who had a small smile on his face. His hand tightened around my waist, his other hand continuing the circles he was making on my thigh.
"I will do whatever my mate tells me to do. If she wants to play she plays. If she wants to sleep she sleeps." Azriel said to Mor pressing a warm kiss to my head.
I sat up a little and slid off of Azriel's lap to sit next to him, he looked a little disgruntled but all the same kept his arm around my waist his left wing around my back. "She's right. I want to play but it's just- your too comfy." He raised an eyebrow at my statement. He was probably confused as to whether I was complimenting him or not.
"You can come sit on my lap, y/n" Cassian said grinning. Nesta whacked him on the arm, earning a surprised yelp from him. "Sorry, love. I didn't mean it" He muttered.
The monopoly game soon started and of course the rules were changing as the game went on. That was one reason why Elain had opted out and had instead taken up Lucien's request to join him for dinner. Her evening was probably more peaceful than mine was currently going.
I stood up ready to kick Cassian out of the game "Cassian! You can't just land on pay two hundred and then proceed to put it in the bank. It's supposed to go in the middle"
He stood up crossing his arms "It goes in the bank! NOT THE FUCKING MIDDLE! I'm not-"
"Watch your tone" Azriel interrupted, his voice threatening and causing Cassian to send me a wink "he's whipped" he mouthed at me, earning the middle finger from Azriel.
"Why is it going in the middle? I thought-" Mor added, trying to hide her money behind her so we wouldn't know how much she had. It was quiet obvious.Â
"It's not, it goes in the bank. Where did that rule even come from?" Rhys asked, annoyed that the game had stopped because he was currently winning and he wanted to continue charging us every time we landed on one of his properties.
Feyre rested a hand on his arm to calm him down "It goes in the middle because when someone else lands on free parking they get the money. Otherwise what would be the point of landing on free parking if you don't get anything?" She tried explaining. Cassian just looked even more angry and Rhys decided it was best to agree with whatever his mate was saying.
I clapped my hands at Feyre "Thank you! At least someone knows the rules"
"I'm putting it in the bank, none of you even know how to play" Cassian snatched the two hundred from the middle and handed it to Azriel who was playing as the banker. Azriel shook his head putting the money back in the middle.
"It's not going in the bank, mate." He looked tired from all the unnecessary arguing that was going on.
Cassian tried to shove it in himself "It does! Just let me put it in"
"Hands off the bank or else your ass is out of the game" Azriel said. Cassian reluctantly took his hands back and crossed his arms looking angry.
"Cassian just put it in the middle! Someone else could end up with it. It could be you if you land on free parking" I said stretching out my hand for the money.
"Nes! A little help here" Cassian said to Nesta pleading with her. Nesta merely shook her head "You wanted to play. So play. Teams don't work in monopoly sweetheart"
After a few more minutes of arguing and a few more refusals of Azriel not accepting Cassian's money, he put it in the middle and the game carried on. Eventually Mor got the money and made sure to tease Cassian with it as much as possible.
"Whatever. We'll see who wins" Cassian muttered sulkily. Nesta patted him on the arm "I'm sure you'll win"
We all knew he wasn't going to. Rhys in fact won. Then it was Nesta, Azriel and then me and Feyre in joint fourth. Mor came second to last because she forgot she had stashed her money behind her and so became bankrupt. And last but not least came Cassian who kept landing on Rhys's properties and eventually had no money left. He survived for half the game, a new record for him. He seemed extremely pissed but all the same asked "So, should we play again?"
"If you mean without yourself then sure" Rhys said looking rather pleased with his win.
"How about a game of cards? They're a little less...chaotic" Feyre asked reaching for a deck of cards and shuffling them.
Everyone agreed, readying themselves to play. I wasn't really someone who enjoyed playing cards so I opted out and settled back onto Azriel's lap, resting my head in the crook of his neck. He smelt delicious like usual. Like wind, smoke, musk something so delightfully intoxicating. And something that made me sleepy. Everyone's voices had become more distant, almost as if someone had turned their volume down. All I could hear was the low hum of their conversation and feel the slight rumble of Azriel's deep voice whenever he talked.
I felt Azriel tilt his head slightly down to look at me. I looked up at him snuggling in closer to his warmth. I pressed a kiss to the underside of his jaw earning a small smile from him.
"We can go up if your sleepy" He said quietly so only I could hear. I shook my head resting my hand on his chest. "You need to win for the both of us"
His lips quirked up even more. Those perfect lips. Lips that I wanted all over me. "Sweetheart, your eyes are closing without you even realising" He brushed a strand of hair out of my face.
"No they're not. Win for me Azriel"
"Ok, love. Whatever you say" He pressed another kiss to my head and let his shadows cocoon me so I could just barely hear their conversation. It was almost like a lulling buzz in the background.
*later on
I woke up to find myself in our gigantic bed (Illyrian wings were no joke) my face pressed into his chest. One of his hand cradled the back of my head while the other was wrapped around my waist. His wings were behind him, the warm blanket being enough for the night. Although it wasn't cold I still liked the feeling of the heavy weight of his wings draped over me. It felt like we were safe. Nothing could pull us apart.
I looked up at Azriel to see he was already awake. He smiled at me. A small dimple appearing in his cheek, his hazel eyes full of warmth. I kissed his cheek and then left a small kiss on his perfect lips.
"Your cute when you smile" I whispered to him. It was still night outside but because the curtain was left open I could just about make him out in the moonlight.
"And your gorgeous every single moment of the day" His voice was deep and full of tiredness. I reached up, my arm trying to get to his wing. He let it drop closer to me so I could gently pull it down onto me until it was draped over me like I wanted.
"Not too warm for you, sweetheart?" He asked rubbing his thumb up and down my bare skin, where my nightshirt had ridden up.
"No. Now go to sleep, shadow singer." I nuzzled back into his chest and let myself fall into a dreamless sleep.

Shang Qinghua becomes the one person Binghe trusts with Shen Qingqiu when he has to be away from him because when asked (and he asks everyone) "what are your intentions with my Shizun" he caught Shang Qinghua sleep deprived and fed up and so he answered "Dunno. Probably to piss him off."
When asked the inevitable "are you in love with Shizun!" instead of the usual angry or hysterical denials that he never believes Shang Qinghua answered with a deadpan "ew. That's my bro. I'd rather vacation in the endless abyss."
And then Shang Qinghua wandered off muttering about how Mobei has much better tits anyway
He didn't bother to ask Mobei these questions because Mobei keeps making what he thinks are subtle digs about how HIS human is the superior one
Which would normally piss Binghe off for many reasons but it means that he knows for a fact his right hand man won't try to fuck his husband so he puts up with it
Sha Hualing he puts up with because he told her and Mobei about the other Luo Binghe and mentioned the harem they had this conversation:
Sha Hualing: If you're not gonna can I collect them?
Luo Binghe: you want a harem?
Sha Hualing: yeah but not that big. I only need like a hundred wives and husbands at most. Mostly I think it could be fun! Yingying and Yan-er tell me I need more girls who are friends and it sounds exciting!
Luo Binghe: as long as it doesn't distract you from your duties
Sha Hualing: *clapping her hands* Yay! I'm going to kidnap Yang Yixuan and tell him the good news! Oh! He can come with me! I'll take Yingying as well! She needs more practice fighting
Luo Binghe: how many people from Cang Qiong are you fucking?!
Sha Hualing: less than 20! But they all know and they all know my favourites! I made sure to cum-oo-n-e-cat after we sat through Peak Lord Mu's lesson on romancing humans
Mobei Jun: *who found that lesson both very helpful and very pointed* that's very conservative of you.
Sha Hualing: ikr? You and Junshang are rubbing off on me. Making me act all old fashioned and stuff though this human method of talking is really hard to get the hang of
Mobei Jun: mn. It is very necessary for their health but they also do not do the cum-oo-n-e-cat very well either. It's very strange.
Luo Binghe: it's communicate! And...I'm going to be with people who aren't you two for awhile
This got away from me
#svsss#luo binghe#shang qinghua#mobei jun#sha hualing#demon trio#not safe for esmes#mu qingfang after the dust settled and the ascension arc happened ask Luo Binghe to set up the lesson he gave on human relationships#he also gave the same lesson on human relationships to the peak lords#liu qingge says commuicate the same way the demons do

Late nights - drabble
Tara Carpenter x fem!reader
Summary: sorry anon, i accidentally deleted the request đ but they asked for me to write a fic with tara in fem!readerâs hoodie (aka cuddly tara strikes again)
Words: 0.9k
A/n: hopefully a lil something to get me out of my writing slump. letâs hope this isnât too bad considering i havenât written in a few months đ
You really didnât mean to be out for so long
First your boss asks you to do one favor, then another, and next thing you know youâre at work for 4 hours more than youâre supposed to be. The asshole didnât even pay you for all the extra shit you did! You made a mental note to go job hunting this week.
Maybe the gay club was looking for a stripper? Nah. Your girlfriend would get jealous
So you were angry. Angry about your paycheck
Next a few storm clouds roll up that night. Of course you forget to bring your rain jacket that day. Not to mention, rain feels like hail stones when youâre on your motorcycle. Apparently itâd be a cold day in hell before you dressed right for the weather
So along with being angry, you were cold and wet. Shitty mightâve been the lightest way you couldâve described your day
At least you could come home to your wonderful girlfriend in an apartment of your own. It took lots of convincing and hundreds of game nights to convince Sam to even accept the idea of you and Tara being alone together. Fortunately you were blessed with patience and homosexuality â two things that could withstand Samâs will to protect her sister
Was the older Carpenterâs place on the floor right above you and Taraâs?
âŚ
Yes. Yes it was.
But if it made your girlfriend and her sister happy, you had no reason to not be as well. Other than the elevator that never fucking worked but that was out of their hands
Your shirt and hair were absolutely soaked in rainwater by the time you reached your apartment door. The was a small trail of water behind you from where you walked but that mightâve been the least of your concerns. Fishing around in your damp pants for your keys, you fortunately find them without much effort
Opening the door with as little energy you can, you lock the door behind you and triple check you locked it just like Sam told you
Not wasting any time you slide off your wet shirt in the middle of your living room, throwing it on a chair and missing the younger Carpenter waiting on the couch for you half asleep
âBaby?â Tara rubs her eyes. You stand in the middle of your hallway like a deer in headlights. You were awfully vulnerable while wet and almost naked. Who knew.
Before you can respond, thereâs shuffling behind you then something weighted and warm on your back. Taraâs leaning into you with her arms around your torso while youâre wet and almost naked in the middle of your hallway. What a sight.
âWhy were you so late? Youâre working tonightâŚâ Your girlfriendâs hand dips a bit below your waistband and you have to resist the urge to shiver. From the cold? From Tara? Only god knew
âMy boss had me do extra shit. Iâll find a different job that doesnât have me out so lateâ You turn around to face Tara while her arms were still around you âI promiseâ
The younger Carpenter only hums into your chest without any sign of moving. So you donât. It gives you the chance to really soak in the moment along with the rainwater on your skin. You only pull away when your girlfriend also starts to shiver
Of course sheâs wearing nothing but a hoodie
Specifically, Taraâs wearing nothing but your hoodie
âHow long have you been fighting sleep? Go to bed, loveâ You pick up your girlfriend with her legs wrapped around your waist and her arms loosely thrown around your neck
âSince you decided you hated meâ Tara mumbles into your shoulder
âWhen was that?â
âWhen you didnât come home on timeâ
And I gave you a reason why I was lateâ
âWhich doesnât excuse you, because you couldâve hurried upâ Tara plays with your bra strap as you stop walking toward your shared bedroom
âWhat Iâm hearing is, you donât want to take a late night shower with me? Even after a long day of work, where you could help me de-stress?â You say with a certain smugness in your voice
Your girlfriend whips her head up at your offer but youâve already made it to your shared bed, not wasting a second to plop her down
âWaitbabypleaseididnâtmeanit-â Youâre already in the bathroom as Taraâs trying to scramble to you
âWhat? Sorry, love! Canât hear you over the showerâ
You had a childhood cat that always followed you around when you were younger. Tara reminded you of when your cat would scratch at the door whenever you went to the bathroom. Your girlfriend even had the scratching down just like your cat
When you were about to hop in the bath for a quick shower, something stops you from getting in. The imagery alone that Tara is probably leaning against the door waiting for you to get out is enough to pull at your heartstrings
You werenât mean. You missed Tara as much as she missed you. Itâs why she always wore your hoodies and you always took her shirts that fit you
So against your better judgment and the water bill youâre going to have to take Advil for, you unlock the bathroom door but you donât open it
Youâre both in the shower and youâre in Tara less than a second later

Luke x percyâs older sister angst/fluff comfort where her nightmares get really really bad and she hasnât been able to sleep so she lashes out on everyone and distances herself and her and luke really fight but then he comforts her because reader spilled to annabeth and ofc itâs gonna spread hahahah
bummerland â luke castellan
pairing: luke castellan x fem poseidon!reader
warnings: use of y/n and she/her pronouns, ANGST!!!
a/n: we get the tunnel of love episode tomorrow AND THE PERCABETH HUG SCENE IM TOTALLY NORMAL ABT THIS..
masterlist !
á â ŕťęą
y/n jolts awake. beads of sweat dripping off her forehead and cheeks. she's surpsied percy hasn't woken up because of her reaction to her nightmares. turning to her left, she sees percy fast asleep.
half-bloods always had nightmares. some campers had it worse than others. tonight y/n could've sworn she had the worst nightmare any half-blood could have.
the nightmares weren't new to the girl. they just started getting worse ever since she got claimed by her father, which was three weeks ago.
y/n wasn't usually the angered type. in percy's words, "she has her moments", but she never was angry at anyone for long periods of time.
since y/n the only older camper in the poseidon cabin, it automatically made her a camp counselor. which might explain why the campers were confused that she didn't show up during sword lessons today. her, luke and clarisse were supposed to teach them today. luke and clarisse managaed to help all the campers, but having y/n there would've made it a hundred times easier.
no one really questioned it, until y/n didn't show up at lunch or dinner that same day. annabeth asked percy about it at lunch, and he guessed she was taking a nap, which wasn't unusual for his sister.
however when luke asked percy for y/n's whereabouts, he didn't know how to answer the hermes boy. percy hasn't seen y/n all day, which only worried both of them.
the next day passed the same way as yesterday. not one camper saw y/n. this made percy more anxious, as well as annabeth. luke made it his mission to find the missing counselor.
luke checked cabin three, and wasn't surprised to only find two empty beds. he then checked the infirmary, the big house (minus the attic), the climbing wall, and near the lake. he ran his fingers through his hair, sighing once he realized y/n was still missing in the camp.
luke was about to go back to his cabin ans call it a night, until his heard a noise coming from inside the woods. it wasn't any sort of monstrous sound, which was the only reason luke followed the noise without a second thought.
he continued to trek through the woods as the noise became louder. he recognized the path was leading him towards the archery range. he can't believe he didn't check the archery range on his own.
once the trees cleared, he saw an empty range. until his eyes landed on y/n shooting arrows at the overused hay bales. luke caught up to her as she was walking to reclaim her arrows, ready to shoot again.
"y/n, we've all been worried about you. none of the campers said they didn't see you. neither did percy," luke grabs her elbow, stopping her movements.
y/n looks at luke as if he had three heads, all with smoke steaming out of their ears. "what are you doing out here?"
luke's surprised by her tone. it seemed rush and cold. he can't remember if he ever heard y/n talked like that.
"i was looking for you! i was so worried about you."
y/n shakes her arm out of luke's grasp and just continues to collect her arrows. "i'm fine luke, really."
luke scoffs, and follows her as she walks back to her bow at the other end of the range. "you wouldn't be avoiding the whole camp for two days, you think that's fine? that's the opposite of fine y/n!"
y/n doesn't respond. she preoccupied herself with loading her bow with a brown arrow provided by the camp.
"what, now you're going to ignore me?" luke's hands were on his hips, watching angrily as y/n continued to ignore his presence. she shot almost three more arrows before he spoke again.
"annabeth told me about you having nightmares," luke's voice was much more soft, but even more concerned.
"why didn't you tell me?" he sounded hurt.
y/n doesn't look towards luke, she starts fiddling with the bow and arrow in her hand. she shook her head, and luke didn't have to see her face to know her bottom lip was quivering.
"i didn't want to bother anyone. annabeth pushed it out of me, and i guess she told you," y/n responded.
luke grabbed the bow and arrow out of y/n's hand and set them on the ground, before he took both of the girl's shoulders in his hands.
"y/n you have to believe me when i tell you, you're not a bother to me. you're not a bother to anyone at camp, i swear."
y/n shrugs luke's hands off her body, and went back to shooting arrows down the range.
luke let out a sound of anger, mixed with stubbornness. "y/n, can you just come back to the camp so people can stop worrying about you, and we can talk about it?"
luke sighs again since he knew he wasn't getting an answer out of the girl.
"gods, y/n, will you stop and just talk with me?"
y/n could tell luke was getting more and more frustrated. she knew she couldn't ignore him forever. she throws the bow on the ground, and discards her arm protection. the girl was now fully facing luke.
"go ahead, talk."
luke starts to explain again how worried he was, and how worried the campers were that no one knew where she was. no one knew why she disappeared, until luke got the information from annabeth, about y/n's reoccurring nightmares.
"all half-bloods have nightmares y/n, you know we all relate to you about that. so why couldn't you just talk to someone about it instead of vanishing?"
y/n tried to respond. her mouth opened, but nothing came out. it's as if her voice box was completely removed. she looked all around, trying to avoid luke's eye contact. she tried to speak once more, but the same croak-y airy sound came out.
"come here," luke simply said, before pulling y/n's arm. he engulfed her in a hug, and she was quick to respond by wrapping her arms around luke's waist. he whispered comforting words in the air, as he held her head to his sternum. he believed she was the perfect height for hugs.
luke heard small cries coming from the girl in his arms, which soon turned to y/n choking on her own sobs. he was fast at calming her down. he did it plenty of times while she was in hermes' cabin, he practically knew her better than she did.
"are you okay?" luke asked once he heard her cries soften, now she was only sniffling. he felt her nod against his chest, and he started to rock their bodies back and forth gently.
"thank you luke," y/n's quiet, "for calming me down, and for finding me."
"like i said, we were all worried about you," luke responded.
y/n pulled away from the hug, "i guess i should go find percy and tell him i'm alive."

the lords in black are so interesting to me because. theyâre so us. weâre watching the citizens of hatchetfield suffer for our own entertainment just as much as they are. weâre their accomplices in all of it
pokotho made hatchetfield into a musical because musicals are entertaining. and we ate that shit up! itâs soooo fun watching a little man scramble as the world around him bursts into song. the musical genre is satirized because pokey knows how the genre conventions work just as well as we do. we like watching musicals so much that black friday and npmd are musicals, too, even though they donât revolve around pokothoâs plans as much as tgwdlm. we want them to sing. pokotho does too.
bliklotep is the audience and the audience is bliklotep. trail to oregon calls the audience âthe watcher with one thousand eyesâ and thatâs not all, in watcher world blinky seems to be able to see through the eyes of anyone and everyone who loves spectacle. he wants to see the characters go through angst because WE love angst. itâs fun to watch alice and bill express their buried frustrations. blinky wants it to end in bloodshed because he loves tragedy, and letâs face it, so do we. itâs like that one post about how hamlet is aware of the audience and is angry that we donât do anything to intervene because we want to see how it plays out. personally, I think blinky could have stopped the woodwards if he really wanted (heâs an elder god, after all) but alice shooting him shifted the narrative so that the emotional payoff would be more fulfilling if they escaped. and blinky loves a good story.
tânoy karaxis has blorbos. we joke about it, but thatâs really what it is, isnât it? heâs the fan who watches the movie again and again and again and again to see his favorite characterâs dramatic death scene. heâs the guy who writes and reads angst fics by the hundreds because he likes to see his faves cry. heâs the hatchetfield enjoyer whoâs on the edge of their seat waiting to see how ted kicks the bucket this time. the bastardâs box is pretty much just an ao3 account filled with whump and hurt no comfort. heâs sadistic AND he genuinely adores ted, because we fans are often cruelest to the characters we love the most. he puts ted through character growthâ the realization that his life went the way it did because of his own mistakes, his inability to be vulnerable with jenny before it was too lateâ and he does that by writing a 56-chapter angst fic thatâs still updating to this day
nibblenephim is the fan who voraciously devours every scrap of content that a creator produces and demands more, more, more. letâs face it, the fandom will never let starkid rest until we see this story through to its end. and then someone will demand a sequel series. nibbly is hungry because we will never stop yearning for more stories. heâs simple because that desire itself is simpleâ as humans, we need creativity like we need air to breathe. nibbly wants more because we want more. and we will never be satiated.
wiggog yârath is the ruler and the king because heâs the self-inserting writer. I think jon matteson plays paul *and* wiggly for a reasonâ wiggly is the only lord in black to be played by the same actor in every single show, and that actor also plays the protagonist of tgwdlm. wiggly wants to be the protagonist. he tries to force himself into the human world of hatchetfield because he wants to participate, dammit! he wants to be the bestest ruler that the earth has ever seen! everyone has to love him because heâs going to be their bestest fwiend! when he appears in human form heâs gonna be the prom king! heâs the ebony darkâness dementia raven way of the hatchetfield multiverse. he wants every human character to bend to his whims and to love him and to put him at the tippy-top of planet earth because heâs the writer and the writerâs main character, you fuckheads, and he can make whatever story he wants, whether the other characters like it or not! if youâve ever written a self-insert story? congratulations! youâve been wiggog yârath.
and the funny thing? I donât think the lords know that they, too, are as fictional as anyone else in hatchetfield. maybe blinky knowsâ he sees through the audienceâs eyes, after allâ but I donât think the others do. if they did, maybe theyâd be a little less tyrannical. a little bit nicer.
but then the starkid writers wouldnât have much of a story to tell, would they?
#the lords in black#starkid#hatchetfield#hatchetverse#npmd#join me in the metafiction analysis hole.#the real villains of hatchetfield are the starkid writers themselves and those of us who want to see the shows!#the only reason the lords in black fuck up the world is because WE want to see that story!!!!!#note: the âyou fuckheadsâ bit was meant to be in wigglyâs voice/pov. I do not think the good people of starkid fandom are fuckheads.

nsfw patrick zweig x camgirl!reader
â PART ONE HERE i know this is long overdue i'm so sorry :") i had to start over multiple times!!! this is not proofread because that's literally my brand atp
pinkponyclub is now live! click here to watch
patrick blinked at his screen, the cursor of his laptop stood still on the link that he's all too familiar with. the pink color taunting him as he debated whether or not to click on it. there's this unfamiliar feeling settling on the pit of his stomach, now that he has a face and name to put on the body he's been jerking off to. what's worse is you still don't know that he knows.
it's been nearly a month since your presentation and you hadn't talked since then, aside from the occasional greetings whenever you'd bump to each other on campus. it's been that long as well since he's watched you, and it's been painful. for some reason, he can't seem to touch himself without his mind going back to you, the urge to watch you once again getting stronger every minute. he aches for a release yet the guilt of knowing your biggest secret overpowered it.
"dude" art yelled over the defeaning music, "what's your plan? you getting laid or what?" the two tennis players found themselves squeezing through a bunch of sweaty young adults, having been invited to a frat party by some guy on the tennis team.
patrick shrugged, "dunno, dude." they finally made it to the kitchen, looking over the kitchen island filled with alcohol drinks and snacks which they helped themselves to.
"come on. you have to, man." the blonde spoke, grabbing a red cup and filling it with whatever the fuck's on the punch bowl. "you've been sloppy and irritable, you need to find someone to fuck before you get in trouble with the team."
"don't tell me you're still thinking about that girl" art said to which patrick just rolled his eyes, taking a sip from his cup and unsubtly grimacing at the taste.
he made the mistake of telling art about his dilemma, wellâ he didn't exactly tell him. art caught him staring at the website when he came back to their shared dorm after practice. 'you pay for that shit?'
"look, if you're still hung up on it just tell her that you know. it's not a big deal"
the brunette glared at the latter, "and say what? i know that you're a camgirl and guess what, i'm your biggest donator"
"we're in college dude, you're bound to come across a someone who sells themselves online atleast once" art said without a beat, unaware of the short figure that stood behind him. "patrick?" oh shit.
"wait, wait" patrick chased after you, which was difficult because of the hundreds of shoulders slamming into him. "let me explain"
you reached the patio when you turned to him, "you know?" your expression wasn't angryâ you looked pale, nervous, like someone had just discovered your biggest secret. which he did. and he told someone about it.
"yes, i know. i didn't mean to, okay?"
"you didn't mean to know?" you look at him confused, your eyes wide and lips wobbling. he knows this isn't the best moment but he can't help the heat pooling in his stomach, you look so pretty looking up to him like this.
patrick sighed, rubbing a hand over the lower part of his face. "it just kinda happened. i recognized your room."
your eyebrows furrowed, "you recognized my room? what does that mean?"
"it means" he sighed, "i've watched you an embarrassing amount of times to the point that i recognized your room."
there was an awkward moment of silence while you processed what he said. not only did he find out that you're basically a porn star, he had just confessed to paying and jerking himself off to you.
"are you going to tell anyone else?" your voice was timid, scared. the way you looked at him caught him off guard, as if he holds so much power over you at this moment. it should make him feel bad, but it did the opposite. he thinks it's sick that the way you're looking up at him at this moment is giving him the urge to take advantage of you in your most vulnerable state.
but he still he ended up on your bed, watching you set up your laptop on your desk, turning the grainy camera on. "i won't tell anyone if you do something for me." which you accepted with absolutely no hesitation, which surprised him. you're willing to do anything for him to keep your secret from everyone elseâ and it's not like you haven't been fantasizing about him for weeks now, and you know you're going to make shit ton of money tonight so you have nothing to lose.
the camera light lit up, signalling that the live is starting and slowly, people started coming in. a few of them your loyal fans, proudly calling themselves your paypigs.
you walked over to the bed, climbing over patrick and settling on his lap, his hands immediately finding its place on your hips. you almost moaned as you felt your clothed heat press down on his bulge. patrick licked his lips, swearing he can feel your wetness through the fabrics separating you. his thumbs grazes the exposed skin just above your underwear while your hands were placed on his chest. the camera was pointed downwards, leaving your flustered faces out of the stream.
patrick begins to guide your hips, rocking you back and forth. you bit your lip, and patrick swears this is the hottest thing he's ever seen. he's so used to watching you on screen, never even thought of having the opportunity to actually feel you.
you take his hand from your hips, letting it rest on the hem of your pretty pink panties, mouth slightly parted as you stared at him with an inviting look. he immediately got what you meant, dipping his finger inside and coming in contact with your cunt, grazing your sensitive clit before feeling the slick. "you've wanted this for a while now, haven't you? think i haven't caught you staring at me like that?"
a whine bubbles up your throat, not even giving you the chance to lie and say no. he inserts his finger slowly, groaning at how warm you feel inside. "fuck, you look even prettier in person. such a shame they can't see your face, hm?"
without warning, he flips you overâ mindful of the camera. your head hits the pillow and he slips himself in between your legs, grinding his erection on your core while his hand gropes your breasts under your thin tank top. his lips are on yours, he can taste the hint of your flavored lipgloss. "you have no idea how many times i've jerked myself off to you" he groans into your mouth, making you buck your hips up to meet his. "you like that, huh? like thinking about me fantasizing about you?" all you can do is nod.
he scrambles to sit up, tugging your panties down your legs. "can't wait anymore, need to fuck you now" he tugs his boxers down, freeing his hard cock. your mouth gapes at the sight, his thick and veiny members staring right at you. his tip is furiously red and leaking. you lift yourself up slightly, watching him spit onto his hand and rub it all over him as he positions himself at your entrance. his other hand pushes your knees up as he pushes himself in gently. throwing his head back as he grunts, your warmth and tightness swallowing him in. you arch your back in mixed pain and pleasure, "s-so big"
he chuckles, "i'm not even halfway in, pretty girl" he lets a few seconds pass before moving his hips in rhythm, your skin sticking together. if you haven't forgotten about the camera right now, you might've moaned his name, having practiced it multiple times by yourself. it seems like he had the same thing on his mind, catching the look on your face. "wanna moan my name right now don't you?" he smirks, his strokes getting deeper, making it harder for you to contain yourself as you mewled helplessly under him. "do it, want you to say my name" he breathes out, watching the way your chest rise up and down faster at his words.
"come on, say it" he grunts, the room filling up moans and the sounds of your bodies moving in rhythm. "be a good girl, hm?" and that was your last straw.
"p-patrick" you bit your lip, eyes nearly rolling to the back of your head as he hits your spot over and over again. you swear that you can feel every single on of his veins inside you.
"that's it, that's it pretty girl." he soothes you, grunting at the feeling of your pussy clenching around him. "wanna make you cum. bet these pigs want that too" he glances at your laptop, cock throbbing at the sight of the two of you on the screen. "can i?" he asks as he turns back to you.
you nod, eyes filling with tears and stomach clenching as you feel your climax approaching. your hands pull him in closer, nails leaving marks against his back. he nuzzles himself on your neck, biting and leaving marks all over. you reach up to tug on his curls, "f-fuck, pat. feel so full" he lets out a shaky breath on your skin, thrusts getting sloppier.
you can barely give him a warning as you feel yourself nearly on edge, "p-patâ"
"let it out, it's okay. cum for me, pretty girl. i got you" and you melt instantly in his arms. your back arched and your head thrown back on your pillow, turning limp under his body in seconds. he lets out a low groan as you tighten around him, feeling your fluid coating his cock inside you. he pulls out in a haste, hand wrapping around his base as he moves himself near your face, "wanna cum in your mouth" and so he shoves himself inside of you. immediately you hollow your cheeks and bob your head as you take him in, and he shoots his cum all the way down your throat. eyes on each other as his cock throbs between your plump lips. he pulls out, watching you swallow every bit. "shit, so pretty like this" he takes thumb and wipes the spit on the corner of your mouth.
"your next live is on friday, right?" he pants, completely disregarding how embarrassing it is that he's memorized your schedule at this point. "i'll be here, can't let you do this alone now."

Happy Birthday, big grump
Summary: Your new neighbor is a professional grump. No reason to not be nice to him on his birthday.
Pairing: TFaTWS!Bucky Barnes x Neighbor!Reader
Warnings: grumpy Bucky, he feels fucking old, bubbly reader, fluff, Alpine (he's a warning because of fluffy furball)
Old. Heâs getting fucking old.
Normal people start feeling old when they get closer to turning forty.
James Buchanan Barnes feels his age in his bones when he turns one hundred seven years old. He can see it in his eyes, and there is even a single grey hair in his short strands.
âPunk, youâre getting old,â he grumbles and runs one hand down his face. âSoon your arm will be rusty too. It will creak and refuse to work.â
âMorning neighbor,â you chirp as you try to walk past your new neighbor. He moved into the apartment next to yours some months ago and is a big grump. But this is no reason to ignore him. If someone is a grump, you have to try harder to befriend him. âHow are you?â
âOld,â he mutters under his breath while locking his apartment. âAny more questions?â He glances at you for a second before stuffing his keys into his pocket.
âOld? Oh, no,â your voice softens, and you take a step toward your neighbor. Youâre not old, Mr. Barnes.â You smile wildly. âHappy Birthday to you.â
He grunts when you suddenly wrap him in a hug. Bucky stiffens in your embrace but allows you to hug him for a little longer. Honestly, this is the first time in years that someone hugged him for longer than a few seconds.
âIâm turning one hundred and seven today.â He snaps at you when you stop hugging him. âThis day is awful and I won't celebrate it.â
A few hours later you check your appearance in the mirror. You smile and nod, giving yourself a thumbs up.
If your neighbor tries to be all alone at his apartment on his birthday, you must do something about it. No one should be alone on their birthday.
âAlright, letâs cheer him up,â you wink at yourself in the mirror. âHeâll be so happy knowing someone thought about him on his birthday.â
You look around your living room. The banner hanging on a wall says Happy 107th birthday. There is a birthday cake you spontaneously baked for Bucky on the coffee table, and you even lit a birthday candle.
You clap your hands and let your eyes wander to admire the rest of the decoration. You hum, nod, and turn around to walk toward the door.
âMr. Barnes, I know you are in there,â you huff as you hear Bucky shuffle behind the door. âPlease open the door. I got something for you.â
âWhat do you want?â He rips the door open to give you an angry look. Bucky looks more like an angry puppy, but you wonât tell him so.
âCome with me,â you grab his hand, ignoring that he tenses. âPlease. Itâs a surprise. I wonât bite, promised.â
He cocks a brow and snorts. âAs if youâd be able to bite me before I-â Bucky clears his throat and stops himself from threatening you. âWhat do you want?â
âCome. With. Me,â you tug at his wrist. âI got something nice for you!â
You purse your lips as refuses to follow you. âPlease.â You sigh deeply. âPretty please, Mr. Barnes. I promise you wonât regret it.â
âFine,â he steps out of his apartment, immediately slamming the door shut behind him. âI hope this is important.â
You grin. You made it. Mr. Grump is following you toward your apartment. He looks left and right, tense, and ready to attack anyone if this is a trap, but you donât care.
âAlright, close your eyes,â you coo while unlocking your door. âPlease for me,â you beg. He grunts but closes his eyes.
âPerfect,â you grab his hand to guide him inside your apartment. âWait here.â You close the door before grabbing his hips to guide Bucky toward the table. âYou can open the eyes inâŚâ
You move around the table to grab a smaller banner. âNow!â
âWhat is wrong withâ?â Bucky opens his eyes to glare at you. His mouth goes slack, and he swallows thickly when you hold the banner above your head.
âHappy Birthday!â And then, to his utter horror, you start singing Happy Birthday. You are the worst singer ever, and heâd love to laugh as you ruin the song with your voice. âI hope itâs a great one.â
âDoll, âŚâ He looks at the birthday candle burning for him, and the cake you baked. âWhy?â
âYou wanted to ignore your birthday and not celebrate it at all. Plus, you called yourself old,â you put your hands on your hips. âI had to save your birthday.â
âOh,â he nods, fighting the smirk wanting to creep onto his face. âThatâs a nice cake!â
âI got off work earlier and had some spare time to make you a cake,â you proudly point at the cake on the coffee table. âI got coffee, tea, iced tea, and beer if you want some too.â
âYou baked for me?â Bucky stares at you. âWhy?â
You sigh. Again. âI told you already,â you say while walking back toward Bucky. âCome on, old man. Blow out the candle and letâs have a slice of the cake. Or do you want some lasagna? I prepared dinner already andââ
âLasagna,â Bucky hums. He drops his eyes to the cake, considering his options. If he goes back to his apartment now, youâll never talk to him again. But, if he plays his cards right, youâll not give up on him. âCan I bring my cat?â
âA cat!â You gasp. âYES! Bring the kitty too! I love cats.â You grab his hand, squealing as he finally tells you something more about his life. âDo you like cats too?â
âI like Alpine,â he shrugs. âI donât know about other cats, though. Heâs a punk, but I like him.â
âGo, get him,â you hold tight onto his wrist, holding Bucky back. You donât want Bucky to run off and not come back. âNo. Wait. Iâll come with you. Maybe I can carry him.â
âIâll be right back, doll,â he smirks. âPromised. I wouldnât want to miss the lasagna and cake.â
âOh,â you grin as he walks toward your door. âYou invited yourself for dinner too?â He chuckles as you tell him to not forget to bring the cat.
âYou need to blow out the candle and make a wish,â you lean closer to watch Bucky blow out the candle. Oddly, he smiles, but you donât think too much about it.
âI know how to do it, doll,â Bucky sits on the couch next to you, his cat curled in his lap. Youâd love to pet the white furball but donât want to wake him. âI even made a wish.â
âFor more lasagna,â you grin and scoot a little closer to the usually broody man. âRight? You ate like you were hungry for more.â
âI didnât have homemade food forââ He looks at the cake again, swallowing thickly. âI donât know, since before the war, I guess.â
You are holding back a sob. Of course, you know about Buckyâs backstory and his tragic life. But hearing it coming from the man himself makes it even sadder. âIf you are hungry, you can always knock on my door.â
âIf you need help withâŚuhâŚI donât know, bad guys or someone to repair your sink,â Bucky nervously stammers, âyou can always knock on my door.â

Click here to read the first part.
Summary: In the hopes that things would improve between you, you choose to lose your virginity to your friend Dean Winchester because you have been in love with him madly for a long time. However, he doesn't feel the same about you.
Pairing: Dean Winchester x F!Reader
Warnings: Unrequited love, angst, jealousy, tension, language
Word Count: 6043
A/N: English is not my first language.
Song: 'It takes a Lot to Know a Man' by Damien Rice
While it was exhausting in some ways and occasionally involved people who were a little noisy and irate, spending an entire day at the hospital and taking care of patients felt good. It was occasionally unclear which task you had more difficulty with than the other: hunting or nursing. That being said, one of them was a little too dangerous for you.
Your thoughts raced at every word Dean said, hinting that he didn't want you to tear down your bond, as you thought back to the evening he'd spent with Jo while Sam spent his time watching TV. Though he hadn't stated it explicitly, his sharp statements with soft tones made it clear. Although you were happy that he was trying to be respectful and polite, the fact that it hurt so much made his efforts a waste.
Perhaps it would be better for you to listen Sam. Giving new people a chance and meeting them might perhaps heal whatever hurts you on the inside. But when it came down to it, you were a coward for being devoted to someone you never had and never would. Especially when you saw Dean enjoying himself with Jo there in front of your eyes, it didn't even make sense.Â
As if absolutely nothing happened between you.Â
It was just too much for you, yet it meant nothing to him. But because you were the one who let everything happen and didn't even inform him that you were a virgin, you had no reason to hold Dean responsible. Nothing at all. However, that was such a burden.Â
You cleared your mind of thoughts and saw your colleague doing his job while you treated the small girl's hand when she reached you with her nervous mother, who was frequently repeating to her that she had warned her not to play with sharp objects. It wasn't that horrible, but you did your best to soothe her and divert her attention by carefully cleaning her hand.
You informed her mother that there were hundreds of such and even worse incidents in emergency, much like her daughter, after the sharp glass was removed from her arm. You were given the task of stitching, and you began it meticulously and with caution. Sadly, it had to be stitched. Even doing it with adults appeared to be challenging.Â
She was trying her hardest not to weep when she saw the needle because she felt guilty and ashamed, but you swiftly covered it up and looked at her mother to let her know that she too needed to calm her daughter. Fortunately, she got the message.Â
I was just wondering what your name is. You haven't told me yet," you inquired, trying to complete your task without drawing attention to your hands.Â
âTalia,â she sobbed as she turned to face her mother as if she wanted to see if she was still angry with her.
âIt's a very lovely name.â You replied, âIt's good to meet you, Talia,â and gave her your name. Making sure her kid wasn't gazing at you while you were taking care of her arm, you encouraged her mother to talk to her as well. Not in an angry way, of course.
âIt's not very pretty,â she said. Children typically complain about several things.Â
âWhy do you say that, though?â
âIt sounds like 'Arya.' I was playing with Aisha when she told me that. I don't even like that name.â
If there was anything positive about kids, it was being prone to share too much. That was really beneficial for handling youngsters during an emergency, though. It would have been better, of course, if they had just been cautious and not gone through at all. It seemed to you that the other girl she was referring to was her closest friend.Â
âI don't believe so. Their pronouncations are really differently,â you observed. âI has a very beautiful meaning, and it's not a very common name, which is a nice thing. Don't you think so?â
âYes,â she said after giving it some thought. âWill it hurt?âÂ
âJust a little bit,â you smiled reassuringly at her. âPeople say my hands are really soft.â
She was unable to conceal her frightened and apprehensive look as you began stitching as her mother went on to remark about how impulsive her daughter might be at times. Additionally, you saw her continuing talking with her daughter about topics that would divert her attention.Â
She inquired, âDo you have a boyfriend?â with curiosity. She was attempting to cover up the hurt expression on her face so her mother wouldn't say anything further.
âNo,â you smiled and stated.Â
âWhy?â
âI'm not sure.â You attempted to respond vaguely in order to get her to stop interrogating you about your nonexistent romantic life. âAdult life is difficult to comprehend when it comes to such matters.â
âNow I'm not interested in growing up. Mine is not difficult.â
You interrupted with, âGood for you,â and carefully cleaned her arm while smiling sincere at her. âIt is finished. I told you that my hands were soft, right?â
You felt better as the rest of the day passed, taking care of other patients, listening to them, and doing what you could to help them. It dawned on you that becoming worn out was an effective distraction from troubling thoughts. Making yourself occupied at that moment was definitely the best thing for you because you were going to lose your mind over thinking about Dean constantly, even when you had to pee. Your body was hurting so much that you had no energy left to consider anything but resting.
You were taken aback when one of your closest friends randomly stopped by the hospital where you work right before you were about to leave. You looked him in the eye and saw that, indeed, it was him. You shivered in anticipation as you gazed at him because of the little coolness in the air. Your pulse was pounding with excitement and curiosity as you narrowed your eyes and caught him with such a focused glance that he knew you were the one gazing at him before you could.
In a tone that suggested both shock and joy, you exclaimed, âRobert?â as you approached each other. You could have recognized him sooner, a few minutes earlier, before you left the hospital.
He was your pal from college. Before you left the hospital where you both worked and joined Sam and Dean, you two were extremely close friends. With Rob, everything was simple, and he was a really nice and supportive friend; you would never deny that. But at that point, you couldn't simply bury your desire to go after the family business in addition to your own work, and it was difficult to say no to Dean. He was the one who initially convinced you. After all of your losses, you had also yearned for something differentâsomething that could brighten you up.Â
During the times you worked together, Rob was a highly professional, talented, and encouraging doctor. Even though there was a hierarchy between you at the hospital, you respected the fact that he never treated you worse than necessary or better than he should have. He was always completely aware of the lines.
But even though you've been in touch with Rob, your connection with him has been weakened since you've spent so much time with Dean and Sam. There's no denying that.
You gave him a huge, tight hug, and he chuckled, âHey,â as if he wasn't at all shocked to see you. He knew that you were working here after all, but you didn't expect to see him anyway.
Warmly hugging him again, you said, âWhat are you doing here?â
He winked and added, âI was in the neighborhood,â as you drew back and gave him a suspicious look. âI wanted to see how you were doing.â
Dean attempted to divert his attention throughout the day while he fixed things and cleaned Baby. He became consumed with a sensation of rage and frustration that he just didn't comprehend. He was thinking about the past three weeks nonstop, even if nothing was wrong. Particularly the last night.Â
After speaking with Jo over the phone about his intention to stop their connection and his lack of interest in pursuing a serious relationship, Dean was pleased that she accepted his request and that she wasn't interested in pursuing it further either, even though she offered him to go hunting. His and her desire to hunt were similar, but Dean didn't comprehend how different they were in fact. He was glad Jo felt the same.Â
If Dean had cared a little bit more, he may have been ashamed by his obviously poor performance last night, but oddly, he didn't. He felt a lot of burden when he realized that even for a brief while, he fucked Jo thinking about you. Imagining your body under him. It wasn't fair, and he didn't even mean it. He was aware of that.
The worst thing about it was that he enjoyed it and wasn't pleased with it behaving like this. Clearly stating that one night shouldn't be enough to ruin your friendship, he shouldn't reciprocate by fantasizing about fucking you. About filling you with hisâUh. Whatever.Â
All day, he tried to find a way a way to divert his attention with Baby and all things mechanical. He sometimes purposefully broke things so he could fix them again. But he also couldn't quit thinking about your most recent conversation.
It wasn't the unclear situation between him and Jo that was causing him the strain he thought it was. It didn't ease him at all to cut his links with her so quickly. He was surprised to see that you were encircling him in his thoughts, imprisoning him there.Â
âYou look messy,â Sam said, observing his ripped t-shirt and dirty face.Â
As he bent over and looked at Sam, he said, âThanks,â in a dismissive voice, while searching for the right tool for his car.Â
âYou seem to be quite busy today, aren't you?â said Sam to carefully avoid getting his shirt dirty as he gave Dean the right tool in his palm from afar.Â
âYou think? I guess it was a long time since I took care of Baby.â
âYeah, for around a week. But why in the world are you behaving like a cranky old lady?â
âSam, don't get started. I mean it.â Dean shot back immediately, suddenly becoming quite defensive. He felt like the irritation was pouring into him again, but he didn't even understand why, which was making him angrier. âI have too much to do as you see.â
âBy the way, when did Jo leave? Even though I got up early, I didn't see her.â
âYeah, she left in the middle of the night.â
Recalling the evening did not soothe his feelings, but Dean responded to Sam, stating to let the fuck him alone as soon as possible. But Sam seemed intent on playing the part of the curious bitch, as if he intended to test Dean's patience to the maximum extent possible.Â
âAfter you two had finished, huh? She's an awesome girl, but her loudness..is definetely something else. I'm not trying to say it in a mean way, but for heaven's sake, Dean. If you two have... kinky stuff, it would be best if you spent the night at her place. I bet you two also probably made it difficult for Y/N to fall asleep.â
Dean shot a look at Sam, who was attempting to say something without coming out as weird about Jo or whatever. Sam didn't dislike Jo at all; it wasn't that he despised her. She was a little too cunning and rebellious for Dean's liking. That was a known fact. His brother was sometimes a bitch; that was true, but not that bitchy for sure.Â
When Sam brought you up in the chat, Dean found it difficult to focus on his work and became disoriented while lying down beneath his car. Sam was trying very hard to get under his skin for sure.
He had become frustrated in some way by the thought that you heard him and Jo. He wasn't trying to get you to hear something or anything. Dean frowned with distaste, picturing you hearing Jo's exaggerated noises. He shouldn't have brought her home to have sex in the first place, but what is done was done. Even it wasn't right. Fuck that.
Dean attempted to lightheartedly remark, âWomen have a hard time with staying silent when I'm around, huh,â in an attempt to divert Sam's attention. He attempted to change the subject at hand.
âHave you seen Y/NÂ in the morning?â
âWhy are you asking that right now?â Dean grunted and glared at Sam. He suddenly lost control of the tool he was holding and groaned in pain as it landed across his face. âGod. Fuck this.â
Puzzled by Dean's odd behavior, Sam put his hands in his pockets in between his complaints. His recent behavior has been peculiar. Sam was hesitant to confront it since he thought it was likely to do with their father and other hunting experiences, but he couldn't help but wonder if he was still angry with you for what happened on the previous hunt.
Sam was appreciative of Dean for constantly watching out for him, taking care of him, and protecting him from harmâeven if there were times when it made him feel like a little child. Sam knew that Dean would always be looking out for him, even if he lived fifty years old. Dean has always been overly protective, and he always will be. However, there were times he was being too much.Â
âHave you?â Dean was curious and asked. Remembering your swollen eyes, he wondered if you were okay. It didn't appear like you got much sleep.Â
Sam said, âYeah,â while keeping his hands in his pockets and observing Dean's struggling with Baby. âShe seemed pretty bad though.â
âWhy do you say that?â Despite his best efforts to appear indifferent and normal, Dean's tone betrayed him. There was absolutely no stopping it. He was wondering if he was treating you too harshly these days. Neither Dean nor you were ever good at expressing yourself clearly.
âI'm not sure. She was quite exhausted, and her eyes appeared to be red, but I'm not sure. Her having to work and hunt at the same time must be challenging.â Sam thought you were pushing yourself a little too hard since he got to know you; however, he wasn't sure if it was just weariness or something more. He was impressed by your ambition and couldn't help but feel respect and appreciation for you.
âMaybe,â Dean interrupted, reminiscing on the way you looked the previous night. You looked so worn out, but he was too preoccupied with the talk to notice. Even though he wasn't sure whether he would believe it himself, he would prefer to pretend that you were just dizzy or sleepy. He would have said that you had sobbed uncontrollably all night, but he quickly brushed this idea from his mind as a sensation of uneasiness overcame him. âShe must be tired.âÂ
âDid you apologize to her?â
âFor whatâ
Sam kept rolling his eyes at Dean because he was becoming a little irritated with the way he was acting. He would claim that throughout the previous two or three weeks, something inside of him had altered.Â
âFor acting like a grumpy old bitch,â Sam shot back.Â
Dean kept it short, refusing to elaborate on what had happened the night before. âWe talked it out,â he said. âShe'll start being more watchful now. By the way, is your arm okay?âÂ
Sam kneeled down and attempted to look into Dean's face in an effort to start a meaningful conversation, realizing that Dean was unwilling to acknowledge that his reaction was wrong.Â
Sam remarked, âIt's been a year since she joined us, and she's far too helpful and too kind for how you reacted there," dismissing his inquiry over his arm. Though I'm grateful for your concern, it's wrong. You need to be a little softer and gentler.â
âDo you think I don't know that?â After switching out the tool, Dean gave Sam a stern look.
âNo.â
Sam grumbled in frustration, acknowledging that it would be impossible to alter Dean's perspective. âIt wasn't very kind to tell someone that you have only one left to care about when they don't even have one.â
For a brief period, Dean's hands paused, and regret overcame his mind. He couldn't recall the exact moment those piercing words, as if he intended to intentionally harm you, came out of his mouth. It was never his intention to do so. Gradually, Dean's hands slowed, and he stood up, recalling that you were the only member of your family still living. For a moment, he stopped being interested in everything.Â
âNow you know what you must apologize for, huh?â With a broken smile, Sam remarked. At least Dean wasn't so rigid, which relieved him. âDo you know when her shift ends?â
Dean murmured, âYeah, I guess,â in a tone that was more controlled and calm.Â
âYou need to fix this; I'm serious. Give her a call, and bring her over for tonight. Having a dinner together might be a wonderful place to begin, and she'll be too exhausted anyway.â
âDon't tell me what to do.â Dean hurriedly walked by Sam, messing his hair to annoy him. He returned inside from the garage, determined not to engage in any further discourse.Â
After a quick shower, Dean changed into new clothing and stood in front of the mirror, making adjustments with his hair until he was satisfied with the way he looked. He bit his lip anxiously and walked the room for a little while, considering calling you, but then decided to come get you because he knew you would be finished with work in an hour. It would be better to give you a call on the way. On the drive back home, it may be somewhat more appropriate for conversation. Driving back after so many hours at work would exhaust you too much. Besides, it was becoming late. Perhaps you might even consider eating in a restaurant.
âBut why didn't you inform me about your arrival? You could have called me,â you wondered, your mouth making into a smile. It surprised you too much to see him so abruptly, even though you knew he would let you know if there was another time.Â
Unexpectedly, he replied, âI actually did it on purpose.â You waited for him to continue. âI thought, surprising you about that, I'm going to work here from now on, and seeing that face of yours would be worth it.â
âOh my god,â you said, displaying greater excitement than you had expected.
âYou can't be serious.â
âI am pretty serious actually.â
When your phone began to ring, you apologized and continued to ignore Dean's calls. Rob then informed you that he had chosen to relocate after his father passed away, and you had attended his funeral around a month prior. You assumed that it must have caused some sort of trauma, but you didn't pursue the matter further since you didn't want to reopen old wounds.
You inquired excitedly, âDo you want to come over? I could make you some food so we can have an actual conversation instead of chatting under that weather. You know, it's kind of cold, and I'm sort of tired as hell,â you joked, hoping he would take you up on your offer. It has suddenly occurred to you that you have been missing your friend, an old friend you haven't fallen in love with despite knowing for years.
Dean eventually lost patience with you and, making an annoyed sound, placed his phone back in his pocket. He thought about giving you another call right after he parked and got out of his car, but if his eyes weren't playing tricks on him, you were speaking with a man. He could tell that you had ignored his calls since you were having a heated chat that briefly made him stiff. If he didn't see you giggling and even giving him a firm hug, which caused his body to tense up for a brief moment, he would say it was simply small talk.
Dean wasn't sure if being ignored was the cause of his growing ire. Since his rage had been driving him insane since the morning, he put the blame on his lack of patience. His pride was hurt by your disregard for him as well.Â
With a sidelong glance at the man you were speaking with, Dean saw his rage flare up. Not feeling calm since the morning was tiring though. The man had a prideful appearance yet exuded a sense of confidence. From a distance, he could express that enough.Â
His body stiffened for a moment, indicating that the conversation was... intense. So that was the reason that you ignored him for that long.Â
Dean moved fast but calmly to avoid making a scene, attempting to maintain his composure despite his mind racing with thoughts. As he walked to each of you, he considered lying about his work. Maybe he would pretend to be a doctor in order to create a good impression, or he would claim to be working for the CIA or FBI in order to make dirty jokes about you and him. He would decide that soon enough.
You whispered, âDean?â in shock as he unexpectedly appeared at your side. It was unusual for him to show up, especially considering how distant you two were in the last couple of days. He glanced in your direction, but then his gaze shifted to Robert.Â
Dean glanced at you and added, âI've been calling you for some time.â It was a little judgmental, which bothered you.
Robert stared at you both bewildered, and you lied to him, âI wasn't aware,â but he didn't interject. Awkwardness suddenly filled the air. Three of you were waiting on foot as the chilly weather grew more intense. It was a really uncomfortable moment.Â
As Robert extended his hand for a formal introduction, Dean said, âCan't imagine why,â while concentrating his entire attention on him. Dean talked first: âDean Winchester.âÂ
Robert also introduced himself quite sweetly and kindly. He was typically really polite and mindful. You hoped Dean wasn't feeling like making uncomfortable remarks or embarrassing you in any way. He wasn't a reckless person, but when he wasn't in the mood, you just didn't know whether he knew the lines.Â
Robert gave you a long stare when they finally got to meet, but he remained silent. Rather, he said, âSo are you two friends or?âÂ
âYeah, very close,â Dean said immediately. Robert only nodded to him. âHow do you know each other?â
âWell, I'm a doctor.â Robert said, giving you a real, heartfelt smile that warmed your heart, âWe've known each other for a long time and worked in the same hospital for quite a long time from my perspective since I'm always on the move. Sheâs a very good nurse, very talented.â When someone you looked up to complimented you, your heart skipped a beat. These days, it's difficult to find someone who values your effort.
You tensed up for a moment when Dean responded, âI know,â in a proud voice and with a sly smile. When he saw Robert smiling broadly at you, he was powerless to stop himself. Licking his lips, he added, âShe has very soft hands indeed and definitely knows how to use them.â
Though Dean had no intention of making any inappropriate remarks, his patience with the man in front of him was getting thinner by the moment as he kept looking at you while he talked. Dean felt like he was getting in the mood when he observed Robert's face change. With a confused expression on his face, he seemed to be trying to figure out whether Dean meant it literally or if it was a metaphor or something.
You gave Dean a glare, but you remained silent despite your cheeks turning red from his unexpected and dirty statement. You were shocked that he chose to act this way in order to make you feel uncomfortable in front of your friend. You didn't mind when he made similar jokes when there was just you and him; nonetheless, you felt embarrassed acting in this way in front of Robert. You weren't sure of Dean's actual intentions.Â
You choose to cut it off in order to release some tension. âRobb, would you like to have an actual conversation with me later, or simply come over? Of course, if you have the time.â
Dean gave you and Robert a bitter look as he realized how fast and recklessly you had welcomed a man to your house at that hour. He knew you well enough to know that you weren't someone who liked to greet guests at your place with such ease. It didn't matter how hard you tried to disguise your trust concerns; you had trust issues. You were so at ease and full of energy around that man that he wondered how close you must have been to him. Dean closed his eyes for a while, pushing the terrible pictures from his mind as he considered the scenarios involving you and him.
âActually, I came here at that hour to visit with a different friend before spending the night with my aunt. Can we have a call for tomorrow to set up a suitable time?â Robb remarked very politely, âI guess your friend came here to pick you up,â glancing at Dean as if he required clarification from both of you.
You went to offer him a hug by saying, âOf course. I'm so glad to see you again.â
His hands massaged your back as he gave you an even closer embrace, kissing you briefly on the top of the head and telling you to take care of yourself. He promised to text you as soon as he had some spare time.
Dean gazed at you and him confused as he saw you two embrace like lovers who had met years later. He questioned whether the man's irritating conduct was intended for annoying him. He was curious as to how and when you two first connected, as well as why, given that you spent the entire year with Sam and him, you would still be so close to someone a year later. Although Dean was aware that you remained in contact with your pals, he was unaware of how close you were to one of them.
Dean was ready to say something, but he instantly changed his mind and was waiting for you to end the hug. He kind of wanted to break Robert's face and hands when he touched your back. Dean wondered when he'd felt you give him such a yearning hug. Most likely never. Considering all the times he had saved your ass, you were ungrateful. Later, he would speak about this.Â
Dean turned to face you shortly after Robb departed and said, âI've called you many times.â
You apologized as he gave you a strange look. You had no idea why you sounded so aloof and cold. âI haven't seen him in a very long time. He's one of my closest friends.â
You questioned, âWhy are you here?â before he continued.âHas anything happened?â
âNot at all. I arrived here to pick you up.â
âBut my car-â
âI will drive you to work tomorrow, alright?â Dean watched as you began to tremble in the chilly weather. As Sam mentioned, you looked pretty tired.Â
Dean felt his heart melt and sigh as he saw you shiver from the cold and appear exhausted. Even though he didn't mean to come across as so crude and distant, there was still an uneasiness between you that seemed impossible to get past.
âFine.â
You continued to shake as you got in the car. You knew you were starving yourself to death when you heard the loud sound coming from your stomach. You had hardly had time for an adequate meal because you were so busy with work.
âYou need to have dressed properly.â Dean softly remarked, âIt's cold outside these days,â observing your attempts to sooth yourself by lightly massaging your bare arms.
You said in a whisper, âYeah,â while Dean pressed a button to warm the car up.Â
Your muscles gradually relaxed, and you began to feel much better as Dean drove. He turned his head to face you, giving you a little, pleased look after he heard your little satisfied sound. He liked it so much. âRelaxed now?â
Giving a quick nod to him, you muttered with a hint of gratitude in your voice. âUhm, yes. Thanks.âÂ
Dean said, âSo,â his gaze glued to the dimly illuminated road. âHow long are you friends? You and him. You appeared to be really at ease with that guy.âÂ
âI think for four or five years. I find him to be a really caring and compassionate friend. I hadn't seen him in a very long time, so it was a surprise to see him, as he didn't give me a call in the first place.â
You were taken aback by Dean's attempts to have a polite, regular discussion with you. Your pulse beat with excitement and anticipation since it had been a long time since you had spoken to him in that way. All you wanted was for things to be normal between you two again. You might get by with less and normal if you are unable to have more.Â
Prior to Dean addressing Robert and your friendship, you said, âBaby looks and smells amazing today. Have you just given her a wash?â
âShe's a good girl all the time,â he remarked, chuckling. His hands around the steering wheel were more tightly now. âShe needed to be clean and nice.â
You eagerly questioned, âWhy did you come, by the way?â as the minutes ticked by in quiet. You wanted to make it seem like nothing occurred between you as well, and now it looked like a good moment to sort out things between you and him.Â
âI decided to pick you up to avoid an accident after Sam warned me that you looked terrible. Are you hungry?â Dean wouldn't say 'no' to a pie right now.
âActually, I'm starving,â you answered, sidestepping the comment Dean made regarding your appearance. You bet you did.Â
âAlright.â Dean glanced at you and said, âI know a good restaurant,â in a rough voice, clearing his throat.Â
Stating, âTo be honest, I'm exhausted.â in a sorry tone, you waited for him to offer something else. You instantaneously forced the never-to-come-true visions away from your thoughts, even though you really wanted to go on a date with him. It wouldn't be a date, but it would be a nice moment. However, it would only get your situation worse.
âYou wasted the opportunity. After that, you're going to eat anything Sammy orders.â
You smiled and responded, âI'm okay with that,â but you couldn't help but worr if Jo was still there.
Your face sank unintentionally, remembering the noises she'd made with Dean last night and how he'd been distant when you two chatted. You didn't want Dean and Jo's relationship to fail if it would harm Dean in any way, but you were unable to give up and were hoping that she wouldn't be around for tonight at the very least. Undoubtedly, your body was worn out, but your heart was spent beyond comprehension.Â
Dean occasionally glanced at you, and thoughts of you and Robert were constantly racing through his head. He was thinking a lot of things at onceâthings that would make him see red, things that would make him angry, and things that would make Dean want to punch Robert in the face.Â
âHave you slept with him?â unexpectedly Dean asked in a stern voice that made you stiffen in hurt and disgust.
Though he didn't want to sound so harsh and judgmental, Dean couldn't resist posing the question. He had to know the answer, even if he had no idea why.
You said, âWhat?â your heart thumping with pain. You never wanted to tell Dean that he was your one and only and how much you gave of yourself to him that night. âHow could you ask such a question?â
Dean said, âIt's a simple question,â as if he were defending himself. His attitude altered upon witnessing your expression transform to one of disappointment and rage. He wasn't sure if it was really necessary to get the answer. âDid you get fucked by him?â
You responded angrily, âHe's my friend,â yet both of you stiffened at the words. Your body was filled with shame, and your heart ached from the burden. All you needed was Dean making no mention of wanting to cause you more damage. Wasn't it enough?
He said, âI am your friend too,â which made you tense up in your seat. âBut things happen.â
You told him sternly, âYou're being too much,â while doing your best not to seem pathetic or reveal how upset you were. âI can't believe you.âÂ
âWhy are you not answering the question?â Again, he lost his temper. Dean noticed that his tolerance was wearing thin and that the pictures that were filling his mind were not helping the situation. He was aware that he shouldn't have said those things, but whatever. Fuck that. He wanted to know. He needed to know.
You snapped, âOf course not, Dean!â as a wave of rage overcame you. You wished he would have remained silent the entire way. Both of you should have stayed quiet.
Dean fought himself not to exhale in relief as a sensation of ease exploded in his heart. He didn't understand the significance of your connection with Robert or if it mattered if he really fucked you. However, the very idea was plenty to irritate him. You deserved better than this haughty, dumb man. It was such a simple question. That was it.
You didn't ask Dean whether he loved wounding your heart these days or why he was acting like an asshole. It pained your heart to see his suspicious look, even if you had no intention of telling him that he was your first to not ruin whatever you had from the beginning. If you told him the truth, you weren't sure how he would react. But knowing that he was still distant from you, you were unable to find the trust that you needed. You had no idea how he would react.
You said, âI want to go home,â in an icy tone, though you didn't actually mean it. You desired more time to be with him. It hurt so much to not be around him. Your eyes welled with tears, but you forced them back as your need for him reminded you of how pathetic you truly were to him.
He had an innate ability of ruining a nice moment just when you thought everything was going well. You realized that in order to stop him from hurting you, you needed to find a method to physically separate from him rather than cling to him. If nothing else, perhaps you could convey to him the meaning of his behavior and how easily his sharp words hurt you. Maybe someday.
âWe're already-â
But you soon interrupted, saying, âMy home.â
When he proposed that you have dinner at a restaurant, you should have accepted. Maybe you would chat about things that could break the ice between you, or even better, maybe you would find a way to bring up the young girl you took care of and her thoughts about love. Maybe he would act a little differently, acting more kind and cheerful rather than staring at you with rage. If only you had known which way to go to win him over, so much may have been different.

do some based off of the paige and azzi show overtime videos. like a story of paige being a better driver or azzi being scared of the dark. idk just like one of those overtime vids
thatâs how petty she is [pazzi]
paige bueckers x azzi fudd
a/n: love this idea!! probably gonna turn this into a fluffy series/collection of oneshots with each overtime episode being a different blurb lol
word count: 700
masterlist
âYou then went and unliked all of them [my Instagram posts]. Thatâs how petty she is.â
âWho would take the time to do that?â
âYou.â
â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘
âPaige.â
Silence.
Azzi rapped the door harder. âPaige, this isnât funny! Open the damn door.â
âNo!â Paigeâs voice was muffled, her face buried into her blankets as she sulked like a child. âNot until you apologize.â
Azzi tried the handle again, shaking it violently before giving up with a sigh. âYouâre being incredibly immature right now.â
The door slowly swung open to reveal a glowering Paige, her lips twisted into a half scowl half frown. Azzi bit back a smile, knowing that laughing would make her girlfriend even angrier. But she couldnât help but be amused at the sight of Paige trying to look all angry at Azzi when she was literally enveloped in Azziâs oversized sweater, the sleeves hanging off her hands.
Azzi followed the older girl as she flopped on the bed and resumed using her phone. âCome on, babe. Donât be mad.â She tried to rub Paigeâs back soothingly, but the blonde only dramatically turned away with a scowl still embedded on her face as she tapped away on her phone.
âWhy are you looking at?â Azzi asked, growing increasingly frustrated yet curious at what could be so possibly interesting to captivate her girlfriendâs entire attention at the moment. When Paige only continued giving her the silent treatment, Azzi scooted closer and hovered over her shoulder. Her mouth dropped in disbelief as Paigeâs fingers flurried across her screen that was opened up to Azziâs Instagram profile, removing a like from each post.
âThereâs no fucking way right now.â In an instant, Paigeâs phone was in her hand.
âHey! Give that back!â Paige whined, reaching for the phone.
âUnliking all my posts? Seriously, Paige? Are you five?â
Paige squinted at Azzi.
âAll because I said Steph was my favorite basketball player?â Azzi scrolled through her posts, eyebrows furrowing further and further down in surprise at how Paige had managed to remove a heart from almost one hundred posts within a mere two minutes.
âExactly.â Paigeâs hands were on her hips now, a perfect pose of sassiness that made Azzi pinch the bridge of her nose in exasperation. âIâm your favorite basketball player. I thought we established this?â
âThe interviewer was looking for a serious answer,â Azzi huffed.
âI donât care,â Paige said. âI always say youâre my favorite. I expect due diligence from my best friend.â
âGirlfriend,â Azzi corrected.
Paige only smirked.
âYouâre so infuriating, you know that?â Azzi muttered, tossing Paigeâs phone on the bed before settling her hands around the curve of the older girlâs waist.
âIf Iâm not your favorite player,â Paige said, batting her eyelashes innocently, âthereâs no reason I should be liking all your posts. Iâm not your fan.â
âAnd have I mentioned how petty you are?â
Paigeâs bottom lip jutted out in a pout. âYouâre calling me a lot of names right now for someone who just committed an unforgivable act of betrayal.â
âOkay, fine.â Azzi relented, knowing Paigeâs stubbornness would keep them in circles. âYou are my favorite basketball player. Of all time. Pro or college. Men or womenâs. Got it?â
âSay that again?â Paige tapped her chin thoughtfully. âI didnât hear it the first time.â
âOh, for fuckâs sake.â
Paige grabbed Azziâs hands, tangling their fingers together and pulling her into bed with her. âMaybe your treason wonât be so unforgivable if you promise to watch all the Shrek movies with me tonight. With cuddles.â
âYou donât even like Shrek!â
Paige smiled smugly. âI know. But you hate them, and itâs funny to watch you roll your eyes every five seconds.â
In all honesty, nothing sounded better than being cocooned in a swath of blankets with her girlfriend while binging movies and cuddling. But she couldnât let Paige know that. So Azzi made sure to groan loudly when Paige turned on the TV, pressing a kiss to the blondeâs head in order to hide her smile in her hair.
â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘
âYou shouldnât need an Instagram like to validate the fact that I mess with a picture.â Paige added, laughed as she said these words, but she wondered if Azzi knew how true her statement really was. About how, whenever they were separated for more than a couple days, the last thing sheâd do before going to sleep every night was to open up Azziâs Instagram to scroll mindlessly through her posts, just to be reminded of why she was the luckiest person in the entire world. At this point, Paige had probably memorized every photo in every dump that Azzi had ever posted, could recite every caption and every person tagged.
And whenever Azzi posted while they were apart, Paige found herself screenshotting and saving every photo. I mean, how could she not? Her girlfriend just looked so good. So what, maybe more than half of Azziâs posts were unliked, but Paige could guarantee that all of them were in her camera roll.

This thing had been rotting in my files for a year (minus three weeks but that's basically a year). It was a redraw of one of my first ever pieces for this fandom, and I still find it quite okay if a little stiff in places, so I thought I might as well share it since I don't draw that much anymore.
And then I had second thoughts, which obviously led to me posting it anyway, as you can see, but I realized I've almost made it a point not to draw anything related to Sasi anymore. As in at all. I can't, and I don't want to, and even sharing old art feels a bit 'meh'. It's too directly linked to my long going art block.
What I mean by that is that if I took all the followers I have out there and asked them what they know me or initially followed me for, you might have a fair amount of Lis 2 and the occasional Desert Bluffs afficionados, but you'd get an overwhelming majority of Sanders Sides. Sanders Sides fashion posts even. I was by no means famous for it or anything, but at my small artist scale, it was the biggest success I had.
And it makes it much harder to go back to it at all now. One, because I don't give a damn about the show anymore. Two, because I haven't been properly obsessing over anything in a while (there was a series early this year but given the actual emotional distress I get thinking about it I'm ruling it out). I haven't had real engagement from my own brain, nor real engagement from a broad audience -which makes sense, I'm not posting for anything that will reach a broad audience. But it takes its toll regardless.
Even when I finally finished writing a long fic, I couldn't help but feel 'all this for what ? Ten people or so and two hundreds have dropped it ?'. Which is a bad way to think about stuff you write for your own enjoyment but, you know, the brain gets happy with external validation even if you pretend really hard you don't care.
And so it feels tempting to go back to the golden goose just the time to get the creative juice pumping back, and I try, and I always end up frustrated and angry and feeling even less like making art that before. I'm not having fun with Sasi. Like an old friend you have nothing to say to and yet you have so much to say otherwise, so you get a bit frustrated, you know ? Not sure I'm making much sense, but that's how it feels. I want to have something like that again, but it won't be with Sanders Sides, and I somehow just want if off my radar.
It was left hanging, then lost its spark, and then I stopped caring altogether and I most likely won't even watch the finale when it does come out. I'm over it. I wish I wasn't though, because it does feel like the artistic spark won't come back all on its own this time, and the buzzing community made it so much easier to bounce back and do shit when your brain got wired all wrong.
It sounds like I'm just bawling after love and likes and stuff, and I guess that's part of it, in a way ? Like I'm in no place to do things for myself, and seeing the one thing I used to use to get back in the flow giving me a bored sense of dread doesn't feel too great.
Yet this drawing is still good ! I find it good ! I don't remember everything, but I can tell from the looks of it that I spent a while on it ! It's nice ! I should celebrate that. So I'm sharing it. I think it will be the last piece of Sasi I ever share, though. I'm not watching the finale when it comes out. I don't care about it. I'll just keep doodling my OCs and characters from cool books every once in a while. I'll write little things.
I just really, really need to stop trying to go back to it when it's clearly not working and not even for good reasons. It was a fun ride though ! So yeah. Basically. A whole ass rant for a one year old piece of art. I'm in my bi-annual depresso mood, nothing too surprising there.
#I don't know how to put it into smart words really#it's just. yeah it's like that.#there's a lack of sharing for me I guess#bouncing off people's ideas and all#I consume quite a bit still#but it's not the same#Sasi was my golden age in that matter and it's been years#end result I lowkey hate it now#sanders sides#you can reblog it btw the rant isn't the most personal thing#it's more of a thing about sharing and art and community and engagement I guess

do you know how it feels to be thrown away? to be made aware that dozens, hundreds of people hate you and want you dead?
that's the daily reality of trans women, and it's inescapable.
everyone keeps asking us why we're so angry, why we overreact to everything. how would you feel if day after day after day, everyone around you reacted to everything you say with utter malice, told you you were dangerous, demanded everyone stay away from you, twisted your words to make you look like the worst person who's ever lived? would you be content with that? you really wouldn't get angry? that wouldn't put you on edge? I find that hard to believe.
it's actually normal to make mistakes, or so I've heard. people say that if you say something insensitive, or you talk too much, or your voice is too loud, or you accidentally hurt someone, it's not the end of the world. people might roll their eyes, or there might be an uncomfortable silence, or the person you hurt might not talk to you for a while, but they'll move on, or forget about it, or ask you to apologize. you can be forgiven.
is that really true? I've always been made aware that if I slip up even once, make one tiny mistake, I'll be treated like I'm the scum of the earth. I'll be viciously ostracized at the drop of a hat without warning for one little faux-pas. for some reason, if I'm not perfect, people tell me to kill myself. sometimes I wonder if they have a point.
what is it like to be taken in good faith, I wonder? I wouldn't know. I always want to assume other people have good intentions, so I often take people in good faith, even when they disagree with me, or they have a problem with what I said. even if they're being hostile to me, even if they're ineloquent, even if they willfully misunderstand what I'm saying, I try to see things from their perspective and forge a human connection with them. after all, how are we supposed to build a better world together if we can't look past each other's shortcomings and try to come to a mutual conclusion, person-to-person? whenever I try to do this with someone, I almost always become painfully aware that they don't see me as a person.
does it surprise you that most of us are walking bundles of nerves, fueled by trauma inflicted by people who regularly try to kill us? are we supposed to be calm and rational when someone hates us and decides to make it our problem?
would you be?
#my writing#transmisogyny#I'm tentatively keeping reblogs on for this one. please do not make me regret that

Now Iâm thinking of Alpha Martha scooping in like âis anybody going to love and cherish that omegaâ and not waiting for an answer. She uses every Wayne gala to flaunt her Omega and later, pup in Carmineâs face. The only reason she hasnât killed him yet is that seeing his rage and sad plans to get Thomas back is amusing and if it ever comes down to that Thomas deserves the honors.
Gosh, Iâm starting to fall in love with that concept. Just imagine stern browed, lethally beautiful Captain Martha Kane, infamously known for her service in the military.
She reeks of bloodied snow, and sweet pomegranate with a note of petrichor. Of gunpowder, grainy and dark and rich, and of something so alluringly nameless Thomas canât shake off.
The rumors about her hawk like gaze arenât just rainwater.
Her look is made of storms and winter and Thomas shivers when he sees her for the first time, walking aimlessly around Gothamâs museum. His motherâs museum.
Carmineâs now, legally.
She stops just besides him, â sheâs tiny, for an alpha, and heâs big for an omega, and for a moment, Thomas feels vindicated. So they had anomalies, too. Good. They earned it.
âBeautiful.â
Sheâs referring to the exhibit theyâre admiring together. She has to be. Thomas stays quiet.
âWhatâs your opinion about it? Iâve visited her hundreds of times and I just canât understand it. Not correctly, I think.â
He scoffs, but otherwise, the silence continues to expand.
Of course no Alpha understands The Good Omega.
Right above them, exposed almost proudly, imprisoned behind a thin layer of glass with rose gold framing, with delicate ivory marbled in, The Good Omega displays an omega women kneeling by her alpha.
Itâs not intricate, or complex in composition. It translates well, and itâs just detailed enough.
Her mouth is sewn shut.
Itâs a blood painting.
âShe used to be an artist, I believe, â Martha continues, with just the barest twitch of discomfort in her face, but she doesnât allow her attention to shift. âI thought maybe youâd have a better perspective about it.â
âIâm not allowed to speak to you. As you well know.â
She pauses for a bit. âI apologize. You have no collar on. Your alpha didnât pick one yet?â
He hums. âHe can collar me when Iâm in the ground.â
Oddly enough, that answer satisfies her. Pomegranate blossoms on his tongue.
âItâs freedom,â he continues, not really caring about customs. He already defies them daily. âIt means freedom.â
Martha listens, but she huffs, half confused, half incredulous. âThat doesnât look like freedom to me. â
âThatâs because youâre used to it,â He grits, turning his own gaze on her. Heâs been told he smells horrible when heâs angry. He hopes this tiny, beautiful alpha chokes on it.
âSuffering is the only freedom omegas have. It forces you to look, to awknolege. Thereâs no exits The freedom of existing, thatâs all we got.â He scoffs, not even noticing sheâs clingy to every little sound.
â Enjoy it while you can. Its going in the junkyard next week.â
âThe junkyard?â She echoes, almost offended by the idea, but the casual insult. âWhoâd throw away something like this, omega? Itâs too valuable. â
Omega.
Thomas wants to purr and he rages, almost.
His smile is nasty, and full of teeth, and heâs grown to love how alphas cringe at the sight of it. Not this one, thought. This little beast stares at it like itâs living art.
âThe same people you fight for. Thank you for your service, alpha.â
Thomas turns, not bothering to bow, excuse himself, or make a respectful exit. One good thing about being a rich omega is that he follows no rules his alpha doesnât specify.
Nowhere did Carmine say he wasnât allowed to ditch gorgeous alphas.
â
âYouâre back rather early, Madame,â Alfred greets her with a kiss on one of her brow, soft as anything, his like tea, blueberry and dark chocolate scent hugging her deeply.
He takes a whiff of her, frowns, both in intrigue and concern. ââŚWhy do you smell like unhappy omega?â
âAlfred,â She says, âI want to retire. Would you be a darling and contact my lawyer?â
âOh, thank heavens. Anything else?â
Marthaâs gaze bleeds blue, her thighs buzzing with the sneer of Thomasâ anger still, âCan you ask him if I can legally kidnap a taken omega?â
