After the Roar
pairing: general acacius (gladiator ii) x fem!reader
summary: 1.9k words. After a brutal day on the battlefield, General Acacius returns to his quarters to find you waiting—naked but adorned in gold and scented oil, a gift meant to ease his mind.
rating: E for explicit smut. Gentle dom!Acacius. Courtesan!Reader. Rough sex. Dirty talk. Praise kink.
a/n: thank you to @indulgence-be-thy-name for the encouragement (●'◡'●) this is my first time writing this character, I'm a little nervous tbh
He sees you and smiles.
Not a smirk. Not a leer. A genuine smile, weary at the corners, deepened by a day that has clearly cost him—but a smile meant just for you.
“Ah,” he says softly, pausing just past the threshold. “So the rumors were true.”
You lift your chin an inch. “Which rumors?”
“That someone had left me a gift. A jewel wrapped in scent and skin.” His eyes trace your naked body openly, without shame, but with something softer than hunger. “They didn’t mention how beautiful you were.”
You let the compliment settle. Your fingers curl lightly against your hip.
He doesn’t rush to undress. Doesn’t pounce or paw. Instead, he sinks into the low couch opposite yours and exhales as though just sitting down is a kind of surrender.
His legs part slightly, wide enough to anchor him. His arms drape across his thighs. The firelight glows against his armor. “And your name?” he asks.
You give it, quiet but clear. He repeats it once, like he means to memorize it.
“Where does your family hail from?”
You smile, tilting your head. “You want a history lesson, General?”
“I want to know the woman who waited here for me. Not just her skin, but her day. Her thoughts. The sound of her voice when she speaks about home.”
It shouldn’t affect you as much as it does. You shift, heat blooming between your legs even as you answer his questions—about your family’s village, your mother’s garden, how the day was warm and quiet until the bells sounded his return.
He listens.
Really listens.
“Would you like to make love to me?” you ask, finally, quietly, letting the words brush the air between you like a silk ribbon.
He leans forward.
It’s not lust you see in his eyes—though it simmers there, unmistakable. It’s something gentler, heavier. A kind of gratitude.
“I’ve seen too much today,” he says. “Things I’ll carry until I die. And still, the gods saw fit to send me you.”
You blink. You’re used to desire, but not tenderness.
His palm cups your cheek, warm and steady, reverent.
“You’re very kind,” you murmur.
His thumb brushes your lower lip. “You’re very soft.”
Then his hand dips lower. You part your legs for him instinctively as his fingers trace over your slick folds. One touch and he hums deep in his chest.
“You have a soft little cunt,” he murmurs, more like a confession than a compliment.
You preen, just a little. The words thrill you in a way you don’t expect.
His hand lingers a moment longer, stroking you idly while you lie back for him—arms open, legs parted. He takes in the sight of you, oil-lit and gleaming, and slowly rises from the couch.
He doesn’t move to touch you right away.
Instead, he sits back, the firelight gilding the sweat on his brow. You can see the exhaustion tugging at his posture, the remnants of blood on his knuckles and collar. But there’s a steadiness in his gaze that holds you—keeps you open, still, waiting.
Then, without a word, he stands.
You do not watch him undress.
It isn’t modesty. It’s something else. A kind of offering. A quiet trust. You close your eyes and lie back, the scent of rose oil thick in your hair, and listen.
The soft scrape of his fingers at the leather straps.
The low creak of buckles, followed by the heavy thump of armor being set aside—one piece at a time.
Greaves. Bracers. Breastplate. Each movement deliberate, unhurried. You imagine the weight leaving his body, inch by inch, like the day being peeled off him.
There is silence when the last piece hits the floor. Not a breath, not a step.
And then—you feel it.
The air between you shifts.
You open your eyes just as he climbs onto the couch, knees planted on either side of your hips, settling above you with a gravity that feels less like pressure and more like fate.
You exhale slowly, meeting his gaze.
He is bare now. Broad shoulders painted in the amber flicker of firelight. Scars and shadows. His face is worn but unguarded, and something tender glimmers there—something real.
Your noses brush.
It’s the lightest contact, but it makes your breath catch.
His hand comes to your cheek again, gentler this time, thumb stroking the curve of your jaw. He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t need to. The war is still behind his eyes,] but here he is something else. Not the general. Not the god, only a man.
Your are his chosen peace. You lie beneath him, framed in soft oils and firelight, and ask it barely above a whisper:
“Would you like me to suck your cock?”
His breath catches—a subtle hitch. Then his smile comes slow and fond, the kind a man might wear when looking at something too lovely to ruin.
He leans down, his nose brushing yours again, tracing the shape of your cheek. The barest graze of lips near your temple.
“Perhaps another time,” he murmurs, voice thick with promise.
Another time.
The words bloom low in your belly. A thrill not just for the refusal, but for the fact that he imagines a next time at all. Then—finally—he kisses your mouth.
It’s not rushed. Not sloppy. It’s full and lingering, his lips pressing into yours like he’s tasting the last bite of something sacred. He drinks from you like he needs it, like the day has stolen too much and you’re the only thing that gives some of it back.
When he starts to rock against you, it’s with practiced slowness. His cock brushes over your folds, thick and hot, dragging slick across your cunt. He doesn’t push in—not yet. He teases you, again and again, until your hips rise for him, until you moan without artifice.
Not a performance. Not coaxed or commanded.
When he finally thrusts inside, it’s deep.
He groans above you, forehead falling to yours for a moment.
“You’re so warm,” he breathes. “So tight.”
It starts gentle—two bodies finding rhythm—but it doesn’t stay that way.
He grips your hips harder than you expect, his strokes deepening, speeding. The kindness in his voice lingers, but it’s laced now with something primal. Something that takes.
He fucks you rougher than you imagined he would.
He’s still quiet about it—no shouting, no filthy commands—just the steady press of flesh and the occasional low grunt, like he’s trying not to come too soon.
At one point he shifts, pulling out to flip you over, his hands strong and sure.
You let him, breathless, heart pounding. He draws your ass up, guiding you onto your knees, pressing your spine down with one firm palm until you arch for him—open, slick, ready.
Then he’s inside you again, deeper now.
The sounds between you grow wetter, filthier. His stamina doesn’t falter. If anything, he fucks harder, like he’s chasing something beyond release—something carved into him by blood and war and the desperate need to feel alive again.
You lose track of time.
Pleasure rolls in thick waves, climbing and cresting until your body writhes under him, every nerve lit.
Still, he doesn’t finish inside you.
When he withdraws, it’s with care. His hand strokes your hip, grounding you, and he spills onto the curve of your ass—grunting softly as he spends himself, a courtesy not lost on you.
You collapse to your side, breath ragged, skin humming.
And he follows, wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you back against his chest like you’re something precious.
Not a whore. Not a reward, but a balm.
You lie there boneless, breath slowing, cheek pressed into the warm place where his shoulder had just been.
He doesn’t rise immediately. Instead, he lingers behind you, his hand tracing idle shapes into your side. Not possessively. Not for show, just… present.
He moves.
You hear the rustle of cloth, the soft splash of water poured into a basin. When he returns, he sits beside you and runs a damp cloth gently over the swell of your ass, wiping away the mess he left. His touch is careful, almost ceremonial. You bite your lip.
He doesn’t speak while he cleans you.
Just works slowly—thighs, belly, even between your legs, as though you’re something sacred he’s been entrusted to care for.
When he’s finished, he returns behind you. One arm curls under your head, the other rests across your hip. You’re tucked against his chest like this was always the plan.
You’ve barely let your mind drift when he speaks.
“Are you satisfied?”
You blink.
Your head tilts up slightly, confused. “What?”
He’s looking at you plainly, gaze steady. His face is close. He’s not joking. Not performing.
“I like to be sure,” he says, voice low, intimate. “That you came. That you enjoyed it.”
“I—” you begin, only to stop. You had. More than once. You’d cried out for him without thinking. But no one’s ever asked before. Not like that.
You’re not sure if it’s the wording or the sincerity, but your face warms.
Before you can gather a reply, he adds—
“I like to taste a woman.”
Your lips part. You don’t breathe for a second.
He smiles—slow, knowing. “If you want another…” His fingers drift lightly between your thighs again, grazing your inner lips. “You only need to ask.”
The blush deepens. It spreads down your throat, your chest. You genuinely can’t remember the last time you reacted this way.
He chuckles softly, amused but kind. “What’s this?” he murmurs, thumb brushing your flushed cheek. “A courtesan who blushes?”
“I just…” You look down. “I didn’t expect you to be this good.”
“At fucking?” he teases.
“At everything,” you murmur, eyes flicking up to meet his. “You’re the best customer I’ve ever had.”
He hums low in his throat, clearly pleased. “Then I suppose I’ll have to see you again.”
Your heart jumps.
He leans in and kisses the edge of your jaw, then your mouth, and for a while you just lie there in his arms, wondering how this night became something you’ll remember for a long, long time.
-
The sky is still soft with the pale grey of morning when he rises.
You hear the rustle of linen and the quiet clink of his armor being redressed. This time, you do watch.
His movements are practiced—efficient but not rushed. His bare back flexes with each strap fastened, each buckle tightened. He moves like a man who’s done this a thousand times before, and will do it a thousand more. But there’s a softness in his face when he turns back to you.
You haven’t moved from the bed. The sheet is still tucked under your arms, your hair messy with oil and sleep, your lips kiss-bitten.
He comes to your side one last time.
No fanfare. No crude farewell.
He leans down and brushes his lips against your cheek—warm and chaste, but far more intimate than anything he could’ve said. His thumb strokes once beneath your eye.
“Rest well,” he says.
And then he presses something into your palm.
You glance down as he walks out. When you open your fingers, there are two gold coins instead of one.
Your breath catches.
One for the night. One for… what? The conversation? The kisses? The way he looked at you like you were more than silk and service?
You hold the extra coin to your chest and lie back, cheek brushing the pillow where he’d slept.
The scent of him lingers there.
You close your eyes with a quiet smile.
Let me know if you enjoyed this one! I loved writing him this way. I might write some more if the inspo comes my way.

[series masterlist]
[main masterlist] [AO3]

You’ve always been close.
Since that first night you’d met in Joel’s kitchen, Tommy has always felt drawn to you. Like you were one and the same. Two peas in a fucking pod, despite how…indecent it sometimes felt.
It was late summer. Hot. Your mother and Joel had arranged a dinner. They’d wanted everyone to ‘get to know each other.’ Grilled burgers and made pasta salad and poured glasses of cheap champagne. The whole nine yards.
Joel had warned Tommy about you ahead of time. Talked about his new girlfriend’s daughter, about how you were a bit…wild. Impulsive. Too pretty and too smart for your own good.
You’re a couple of years older than Sarah, freshly out of high school with a devil-may-care attitude. The two of you get along well—Sarah thinks the whispered comments you pour in her ear all night are just hilarious. The two of you spend most of the afternoon on the side of the pool chattering while Tommy…well, Tommy certainly feels a bit like a third wheel.
He knows it’s not intentional. Joel isn’t like that, he’s just…excited. He loves your mom and is eager to start this new chapter of his life, to expand his family the way he’s always wanted to. And your mom is nice enough. Sweet and easy going, a good match for his brother. But she’s a mom. And Joel’s Joel.
It’s Saturday night, and Tommy Miller is bored half to death sipping champagne and watching two teenage girls giggle over something on their cell phones.
And it’s not like he can leave right away. At least, not until after his desert has settled. But he knows where Joel keeps the good liquor, and dismisses himself in search of it.
He’s pouring two shots of whiskey into a glass tumbler when he hears the back door open. Tommy expects it to be Joel, coming to offer a penny for his thoughts. He opens his mouth to soothe his brother's nerves, to reassure him that his other half does fit him as perfectly as it seems. To tell him that he’s crazy for letting another little girl live under his roof, to warn him it’ll be double the hormones and double the attitude, but if it makes him happy…
“Hey.”
It’s not Joel who speaks at all. It’s your voice, soft but sultry. Tommy smiles at you over his shoulder. “Hey, kiddo.”
You saddle up to his side, so close your elbow brushes his as you lean on the counter, eyes focused on his hands as he pours. “This is the most boring party I’ve ever been to,” you say with a dispirited sigh.
It makes Tommy laugh. He sets the bottle down and lifts the tumbler to his mouth, grinning all the while. “Can’t say this little soirée is particularly, uh…exhilarating,” he says, sipping from his glass.
He can feel your attention on him, hotter even than the burn of the whiskey. Your eyes slide down the column of his throat, over his chest, stopping at his waist. You turn your head the smallest bit, not dissimilar to that of a curious little puppy. Crude and shameless in your examination. You look back up to find him staring at you, unable and unwilling to fight his knowing smirk. “Can I have some of that?”
“You old enough?” Tommy doesn’t even know why he asks, because he already knows the answer.
With a shrug of your shoulders and a sweet little smile, you say, “No. But it’s not like it would be my first time. No cherry to pop here.”
Filthy mouth for a girl your age. Funny, though. It’s kind of endearing. He was an awful lot younger than you are now when he started drinking. The first time he’d blacked out had been his sophomore year of high school—barely sixteen, woke up in the middle of a field two hours away from home. He’d had to use a pay phone to get ahold of Joel to come pick him up.
And it’s better this way, isn’t it? To do it at home, surrounded by people who care about you. Who will keep you safe. It’s not like one drink’s going to put you on your ass, anyway.
He nods slowly. “Alright,” he says, opening the cupboard to find another tumbler.
You stop him, delicate hand around his wrist. “Are you crazy? That’s evidence.”
Tommy furrows his brows. “What, the cup? I’ll wash it when you’re done. S’alright.”
“Waste of time.” You take the whiskey and twist off the cap, pushing the smooth glass bottle into his hands. “You know how to waterfall without drowning me?”
He likes you, Tommy thinks. Probably more than he should. He gets that familiar tug in his lower abdomen, the one that urges him to move closer, to speak slower.
It’s a little fucked up, he knows. You’re so young, and odds are your mom will marry into the family, and then you’d be…well, you’d be his niece. Kind of.
His heart races a little faster at the thought.
“Well?”
“Yeah,” Tommy promises. “Yeah, I got you. Tilt your head back.”
You step further in front of him, spine pressed against the edge of the countertop. He can feel the heat of your skin against his, and it makes Tommy feel dizzy. You tilt your head back, just as he said, but it’s not quite enough.
He reaches up, cradling your jaw in his hand, thumb pressed against the underside of your chin. He knows he could just tell you, could just use the words ‘a little more’ and you’d do as he asks. But the heated look in your eyes as he touches you so gently…it’s worth it. “Like this,” he tells you, pushing your chin back. “There you go. Now open your mouth.”
It sounds so vulgar in his ears. And Tommy doesn’t mean it that way, but you smile up at him and say, “You’re supposed to take me out on a date first, I think.”
“You think?” He scoffs. “You ever let another man in your mouth and he doesn’t wine an’ dine you first, you let me know so I can take care of him.” Tommy’s only sort of kidding. If you ever asked, he’d do it in a heartbeat.
“Alright,” you say. “No other man, then. Just you.”
He has to look away, unable to contain his amusement. “Christ, girl.” Tommy shakes his head, delighting in the sound of your giggling. He can feel the vibration of it in his hand, still pressed against the side of your neck. “Ridiculous.”
Joel’s voice cuts through the kitchen, calling Tommy’s name.
He tries to take a step back, get some distance, but you hook your leg around his to keep him close, bare and exposed to him from the hem of your denim shorts down. Tommy grips your thigh tightly but doesn’t quite push you away. “Yeah, Joel?”
You tilt your head back, perfect this time, just like he showed you.
Tommy shakes his head again, surprised by your brazenness, but he just can’t seem to stop smiling. He lifts the glass bottle and pours the whiskey slowly, holding in his laughter all the while.
“Bring out another slice of that pie,” Joel says from the back door. “The key lime one. Sarah wants some more.”
“Yeah, sure. One slice of key lime,” Tommy calls back, watching with rapt attention as the amber liquid pools in your pretty mouth. And then, more to you than to Joel, he says, “You got it.”
He stops just before your mouth is too full and sets the bottle back on the counter as the back door closes. You tilt your head back down, grimacing as you swallow. You have to do it twice, and Tommy knows that shit burns.
He’d feel bad if it weren’t for the drop of liquid that spills from the corner of your pursed lips, leaving a trail of whiskey as it drips down your chin. It’s such a sight to behold that his mouth waters. It takes every last ounce of his common sense to keep from leaning forward and licking it up.
Instead, he runs his thumb across the seam of your lips, collecting every last drop, and proceeds to suck it clean. “No man left behind,” he says playfully, painfully aware of the slight lift of your hips and the almost unnoticeable arch of your back.
“Right, no. Of course,” you say, words just a little breathless. “It would be, like, alcohol abuse.”
Tommy chuckles as he finally steps away, surprised by the complete lack of guilt he feels. He pulls a plate from the cupboard and finds the remainder of the key lime pie in the fridge.
Your steps echo in the kitchen when you leave, the screen door creaking as you push it open. He catches the words as you speak them under your breath just before disappearing from view. “Certainly not boring anymore.”
Tommy returns to the backyard with Sarah’s key lime pie in one hand and his refilled glass tumbler in the other, a newfound spring in his step.
It doesn’t take long for family dinners to become a tradition. They’re moved to Sunday nights, though, which works a hell of a lot better for Tommy. He usually shows up hungover, sporting a headache and a bad mood.
You’re real good at pulling him out of it, though. Always making those dirty jokes, uncaring of who hears, often earning a scolding from your mother when your humor graces the dinner table.
Eventually, it takes nothing but a shared glance before you slink off to the kitchen, one at a time, to steal more of Joel’s whiskey. Like a secret, shared language that only the two of you understand. As if the moment the thought crosses his mind, it crosses yours, too. Almost like you’re connected, somehow.
Sometimes Sunday dinners will be paired with a movie. Often, it’s a film Joel rented for the weekend that he claims has ‘good reviews,’ but never has a satisfying ending.
Tommy doesn’t stay for the popcorn or the candy, though. He doesn’t even stay for the movie, in truth.
He stays because you always sit beside him on the loveseat.
It always starts innocently enough. You pull the scratchy, old blanket from the back of the couch, draping it over you both. And then you’re poking his thigh while murmuring comments in his ear.
You’ll say, “God, that guy has the worst fake crying face I’ve ever seen. Looks like he’s constipated.”
And Tommy will laugh, and Sarah will scowl and shush him, and your hand will linger on his knee.
Halfway through, you’ll shift in your seat, trying to get comfortable. You’ll lean back against the armrest and lay your legs across his lap. And Tommy, impulsive man that he is, will slide his hands between your thighs and rub circles into your soft skin, careful not to move too fast, to be too obvious.
Once you reach this point of the night, Tommy doesn’t pay attention to the movie at all. He focuses on you instead, on the way your breath catches in your throat when he squeezes hard, on the way your knees slowly drift further and further apart, on the flush that crawls up your cheeks each time he catches your eye.
It never feels quite so innocent when the movie ends and Tommy has to sit on the couch with that blanket over his lap just a little longer than everyone else.
In September, Joel tells him you and your mom are moving in permanently. No more weekend sleepovers. You’re taking the spare room across the hall from Sarah, the one Tommy knows like the back of his hand after crashing in it countless times.
He’s not sure why, but there’s something satisfying about knowing you’ll be there, sleeping in the bed he’s slept in hundreds of times.
Joel asks him to help move some of the furniture, and Tommy doesn’t hesitate to agree. They move the larger things, while you and Sarah excitedly unpack cardboard boxes and talk about sharing clothes and shoes.
Tommy remembers the times Sarah would beg Joel for a sibling when she was younger, and it warms his heart to see she’s finally gotten the sister she’s always wanted.
He sees you a whole lot more often after that. Tommy picks Joel and Sarah up every morning and drops Joel off after work every day.
Most of the time, you’re still sleeping when he shows up at seven. But the evidence of you is littered all over the house; your shoes by the front door, your jacket slung over the dining room chair, your denim shorts on the floor beside the laundry basket in the bathroom.
And after work, he always comes inside to visit you. Just to see how you’re doing, to see if you’ve had a good day, often making some silly joke just so he gets to hear your sweet laughter. Sometimes he finds you watching one of those teen dramas in the living room, and he loves to poke fun at you for it. “These weird ass vampires again? What, now there’s werewolves, too? How original.”
“Shut up,” you’ll say, tossing a throw pillow at his head.
“I’m just fuckin’ with you, darlin.’ I know how you love that freaky shit.” The embarrassment will show on your face, and Tommy will laugh but his shoulders will drop as all the stress from the day melts away.
Some nights, he’ll find you in the backyard by the pool with that tiny lime colored bikini on, lying on your belly, soaking up the sun. He’ll try to scare you, try to get close with soundless movements.
But you always catch him. Can always sense he’s there. “Now, what if I suddenly decided I didn’t want tan lines and took off my top while you tried sneaking up on me? Tits out. Then what?”
Tommy stops just a few paces away from the spot in the grass where you’ve thrown out your beach towel. He towers over you, casting shadows across your spine. “Wouldn’t be nothin’ I haven’t seen before,” he says.
“You peeping on me, Tommy? Is that where you got your name?”
He snorts, but the idea isn’t half bad. “You fuckin’ wish.”
“Yeah, maybe I do.” The comment gives him pause, but he doesn’t have time to think too hard about it because you’re turning on your back and reaching for the string tied loosely around your neck.
You stare up at him, eyes all glittering and mischievous, hair splayed out in a perfect halo around your head. Tommy knows that he should stop you. Should laugh it off and walk away.
He doesn’t, though. His feet stay firmly planted, pressure building in his lower abdomen, cock pulsing behind the chrome zipper of his jeans.
You tug at the strings until the fabric falls slack. Still covering your chest, but only just barely.
Tommy thinks green might be his new favorite color.
You hook your thumb around the thin string across your ribcage, the only resistance left between this moment and the next, a lone scrap of polyester that stands between Tommy being the fun uncle and the weird one.
He doesn’t say it out loud, doesn’t say anything at all. But he admits to himself only that he does want it. That he wants you. To see you, to touch you, to feel you. It’s wrong and perverted and maybe even a little gross, but you’re just so fucking pretty.
Slowly, those loose-fitting triangles drift lower and lower, almost there. His breath comes fast and labored. The seconds tick by, feeling much longer than they truly are.
And then—
“Dinner!” Your mom’s voice carries through the backyard, kind and airy. “Are you staying, Tommy? We’re having pasta tonight.”
Tommy clears his throat and looks over his shoulder at your mom, who stands on the back deck completely oblivious. “Uh, no,” he says. “Not tonight. Thanks, though.”
“Suit yourself,” she says before disappearing back into the kitchen.
You extend your hand to him, the other held tightly over the fabric of your top to keep it in place. “Help me up,” you say, and he does.
He watches as you turn your back to him, straining to memorize every last second of this moment because he never, ever wants to forget it. The smoothness of your skin, the shallow slope at the small of your back, the delicious curve of your ass—if this is all he ever gets to see, Tommy wants it stuck in his brain like glue. Permanent.
You move the arm that’s held to your chest, and the green fabric finally drops, exposing you completely. With your back still to him, all Tommy can see is the subtle curves of the sides of your breasts, but it’s enough to make his heart race. You gather your hair at the nape of your neck and ask, “Can you tie it for me?”
Tommy knows you’re doing this on purpose. Trying to get a rise out of him, and it’s working. “Course,” he says, stepping forward, placing his rough, calloused hands on your delicate shoulders. He reaches down your body and gathers the nylon strands between his fingers, careful not to touch you more than what’s necessary.
He wants to, though. Christ, does he. His lungs stutter at the thought alone. It takes everything in him to resist lowering himself to his knees and giving you the tender, loving care you deserve. He’d worship you, Tommy decides. He’d demonstrate how a girl like you is supposed to be treated. Touched slowly, gently—until you beg him for more, until you whimper and cry and remember no words but his fucking name.
Until his touch is so deeply embedded in your skin that you’d never be able to root him out.
But he doesn’t give you so much as a clue to what he’s thinking. Instead, he exhales a shaky breath, fanning across the back of your neck, and ties the lime colored strands into a perfect bow. He presses a chaste kiss to the crown of your head and says, “Be good, now. Alright?”
You turn to face him, that familiar, provocative smirk on your sweet mouth. “Never,” you promise, and he knows you mean it.
Tommy doesn’t even notice he’s speeding the entire way back to his shitty apartment. What’s worse is that he doesn’t even make it inside. He sits behind the wheel of his truck, right in the open, empty parking lot, squeezing his aching cock in his hand, head filled with thoughts of you.
The next time he stays for dinner, your mom makes fajitas. You sit beside him on the steps of the back porch and pick red peppers off his plate.
You and Sarah belly-laugh about some YouTube video you watched together late last night, mimicking impressions of an animatronic voice. And it’s at this very moment that Tommy realizes he might be in real trouble.
Because he wants to fuck you. Thinks about it almost every goddamn night. Can’t even get off with the women he meets at the bars anymore without closing his eyes and recalling that lime bikini or the arch of your back or the way your thighs fit so perfectly in his big hands. It’s a carnal desire. Uncontrollable.
But this? Feeling a sense of elation provoked only by knowing you're here beside him, safe, happy, and fed? It’s something else. Something heavy. Something he can’t quite put a name to because he doesn’t have any experience with it, despite his age.
All Tommy Miller knows is that he smiles just at the sound of your name.
The thought crosses his mind that he should try to keep his distance, and he tells himself he will. He lies in bed thinking about it, conducting a plan in his head while staring at the ceiling at two in the morning. He can’t not see you. But maybe he doesn’t have to be so inviting. Maybe he doesn’t have to seek you out every afternoon, doesn’t have to check in and make sure you’ve had a good day.
Maybe he sits on the opposite end of the table during Sunday dinner. Maybe when you give him that look and head to the kitchen in search of whiskey, Tommy keeps his ass on the couch.
But then the next morning rolls around, and he’s picking Sarah and Joel up with dark circles under his eyes and a cigarette hanging from the corner of his lips. He sits on the front steps and glances over his shoulder when the door creaks open and is only a little surprised when you step outside with bare feet, wearing nothing but a thin tank top and a pair of sleep shorts.
Your hair’s messy, and there’s an imprint from your pillow on your cheek. Still half asleep, you let out the cutest whimper he’s ever heard and crawl right into his lap like it’s where you belong.
Tommy spreads his knees apart to make room for you, stubbing his cigarette out on the concrete and tossing it in the grass. He brackets his arms around your waist and interlocks his fingers at your hip while you curl up against him, stealing his warmth.
It feels so easy, so natural that he doesn’t fight it for a second. Doesn’t even realize he should. All those big plans he made six hours ago to right this wrong dissolve as easily as sugar in water. He kisses your forehead and holds you close and says, “Hey, sweetheart. You alright? Somethin’ wrong?”
You nuzzle your nose against the crook of his neck and murmur sleepily, “Missed you.”
Just two words, but that’s all it takes. He decides that the heavy feeling inside his chest is his to cope with. He won’t make you suffer for it. Can’t imagine ever pushing you away or sitting across from you instead of at your side.
There’s only one word for this, he knows. Only one explanation for why he continuously fights for your laughter, your comfort. Only one reason he’s memorized the pattern of your breathing and would know the touch of your hands with his eyes closed.
It’s not right.
It’s not, and Tommy knows it, but he doesn’t have the strength to fight it. So, he cradles this feeling in his hands. Holds it gently. Sees it for what it is.
And then he tucks it away. Locks it up tight and promises never to speak of it.
Joel takes your mom to Galveston for the weekend on their anniversary. He asks Tommy to keep an eye on you and Sarah, to keep his phone on in case the two of you need anything.
He brings takeout over after work on Friday night, but leaves the two of you to your own devices after that. Tommy remembers being your age and doesn’t want to hover, doesn’t want anyone involved to consider him a fucking babysitter. So he gives you the space he wanted when he was young. Figures if you need him, you’ll call him, and he’ll come running.
The phone doesn’t ring until late Sunday afternoon.
Joel and your mom are due home in the next few hours, and your voice is panicky on the other end of the line. “Hey. Can you—can you come over? We sort of broke something, and I tried to fix it but I think I only made it worse.”
Tommy’s in his truck before the call even ends. He asks a hundred questions, tries to get some sort of clarification on the way over. But you don’t give much in the way of answers, and his confusion only increases when he pulls into Joel’s driveway and sees you standing on the porch with a trash bag in hand. “Okay, before you come inside, you have to swear to secrecy,” you say.
Tommy’s brows furrow. “Christ, kid. What the hell’d you do? There a fuckin’ dead body in there?”
You roll your eyes. “Just promise you won’t tell Joel or my mom.”
“Can’t promise nothin’ if I don’t know—”
“Just promise me, Tommy,” you say, frustration building. He’s never seen you this serious, he realizes.
Even if there was a dead body behind the front door, Tommy knows he’d do nothing but protect you from the fallout. And he hates how nervous you look, so the decision comes easily. “Hey.” He reaches out and takes your hand in his, running his thumb across your knuckles. “I promise, alright?”
You let out a sigh of relief. “Good. Cause Sarah’s in there freaking the fuck out cause I called you.”
Tommy follows you inside, mouth open with the intent to ask more questions. But they’re all answered rather quickly when he sees the state of Joel’s living room.
There are half-empty beer cans and red solo cups littered all over every viable surface. Pink and green and orange streamers hang from the ceiling fan and over the stair bannister. Confetti covers the floor and there’s a shattered glass bottle in the kitchen sink, but the most obvious stressor is the six-inch hole in the wall beside the fridge.
Sarah’s footsteps rush down the hall, finger pointed at Tommy. Her eyes are wide, and there’s genuine tension on her face. “Did you swear?”
Tommy raises both hands in surrender. “Cross my heart,” he says, and means it. “Let me take care of the wall first. I’ll get the broken glass after. Don’t wanna see either one of you near it. The last thing we need right now is a trip to the emergency room for stitches.”
Between the three of you, it doesn’t take long. Tommy finds a mesh patch, spackle, and a half-empty gallon of paint in Joel’s garage that matches the kitchen walls. He fills the cavity as quickly as he can, using the box fan from Joel’s bedroom window to speed up the drying process.
You make quick progress, and yet still, he feels his heart sink to his feet at the sound of tires in the driveway.
Both you and Sarah freeze in place, staring at each other with expressions that are somehow both horrified and amused. “We’re so fucked, dude,” you whisper.
But when it comes to hiding things like this, Tommy Miller might just consider himself an expert. “Not just yet,” he swears. “Throw it all out back. I’ll keep them outside for a minute, and then when I leave, I’ll take care of it, alright? Be quick.”
He tries not to laugh as you and Sarah launch into action, running around the room and filling your hands with what remains.
Tommy meets Joel at his truck and asks him how their vacation was, making comments and drawing the discussion out as your mom talks about the aquarium and the restaurants on the pier and how the hotel staff folded your towels into the shape of little swans.
Joel asks how you and Sarah behaved, asks if there had been any trouble. Tommy shakes his head, leaning against the side of the truck. “Nah,” he lies easily. “They were perfect angels as usual.”
When he can no longer make viable conversation points, he very nosily helps them bring their luggage and souvenirs inside. He finds you and Sarah cuddled up on the couch, both reading books that Tommy knows you’ve never cracked open a day in your life.
You both look so out of place that it almost gives you away. He tries not to laugh, but it doesn’t quite work. Joel stares at him in confusion while you and Sarah glare at him from across the room, and so Tommy dismisses himself quickly. “Gonna head home,” he says. “Have to, uh…check on the neighbor's cat. Watching it for the weekend, too.”
He leaves through the front door, but sneaks around through the gate and quietly grabs the trash from the backyard just as he promised. It takes two trips to get it all, and he throws everything into the back of his truck on the off chance that Joel checks the bin before trash day.
Tommy’s tossing the last one when he sees you come sprinting off the front porch. He thinks maybe he’s forgotten something, or maybe Joel and your mom had seen right through the lie and all that acting was for nothing.
But then you’re throwing your arms around his neck and wrapping your legs around his waist, face buried in his shoulder.
Holding you is as easy as breathing. He keeps you upright, keeps you close, with his big hands spread wide over your back.
You say, “Thank you, Uncle Tommy,” and the air is punched from his fucking lungs.
It’s the first time you've said it. The very first time, and he feels giddy and nervous, and his stomach gets all tied in knots like he’s some teenage boy. He squeezes you tighter, and his laughter slips out unrestrained this time.
It’s filthy and dirty and disgusting, but he loves it. “I’ve always got you, darlin',” he says. “You know that.”
You lift your head to look at him, and your pretty mouth is suddenly so close to his that you share the same breath. “Yeah,” you giggle. “I know you do.”
It warms him from the inside out to hear it. He loves being this for you. A holder of secrets, a shoulder to lean on, a solver of problems. He loves that you make him feel needed—wanted in a way he’s never been before.
He loves being your Uncle Tommy.
You press your forehead to his, and desire creeps up his spine, hot and thick and asphyxiating. His limbs feel heavy, and his breath gets caught in his lungs. It’s painful how badly he wants you. Like a peak he can’t quite reach, an itch he can’t quite scratch. You thread your hands in the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling gently, and his eyelids flutter closed.
Nothing has ever felt as good as it feels to be touched by you, Tommy realizes. And he knows nothing will ever compare.
“Fuck,” he hisses. “Fuck, sweetheart, I…”
There are no words to say. They get all jumbled in his head, and the only thing he can make out in the chaos is his yearning.
“I know,” you say. Because of course you do. You’ve always known him, have always understood him in a way no one else has. Have always been able to see the look on his face and read the thoughts in his head. “I know.”
Slowly, carefully, you untangle your legs from around his waist. You slide down his body and he knows you can feel it. Knows there’s no way in hell the throbbing of his cock could ever be mistaken as just his belt buckle.
But you say nothing. Just smile up at him with those hungry eyes and press a sweet, soft kiss to his cheek.
He drives home in silence.
No music, no news station. Even the windows he leaves up. Tommy can’t think beyond the taste of your oxygen, can’t see past the absolute fucking shit show he’s gotten himself into. He sits in his truck outside his apartment for twenty minutes before he moves again, scratching the stubble along his jaw.
And then, as if he hadn’t almost kissed you in broad daylight, the world keeps turning.
He cleans out the bed of his truck, showers the smell of paint and cheap beer from his skin, and then he goes to work the next morning. He teases Joel about the swan-shaped towels, but there’s no salt to it. Truly, he’s happy for his brother.
Joel’s been so selfless his whole life. Has given the first half of it up to raise Tommy and the second half to raise Sarah and never complained, not even once.
If anyone in the world deserves that gooey, cliche kind of love that’s just good and uncomplicated and easy, it’s Joel. They really are perfect for each other, he and your mother.
Tommy tries not to think about how his happiness for his brother is paired with a simmering jealousy underneath. Decides to take that green-eyed confession to his grave.
Friday afternoon, one of the electricians Joel hired a few months ago invites Tommy out to a nightclub. “The whole team’s going tomorrow,” he says. “Booze, girls, drugs if you’re into that kinda thing. One of those pop-up ones. It’s in that old warehouse on the other side of town.”
Sounds tempting, he’ll admit. Right up his alley. But Tommy knows himself, and knows that in a place like that he’s likely to go a little overboard. Spend too much money, have too many drinks, wake up the next morning with a girl in his bed he doesn’t remember talking to. And if he does that, he likely won’t make it to Sunday dinner at Joel’s.
Which means no time with you.
No stolen, longing glances across the room. No heat of your thigh pressed against his. No thieving fingers on his plate.
Tommy shakes his head. “Thanks, Mike. But, uh…I’m—I’m good.”
He thinks that’s the end of it. But then Joel asks, real gently, “You got a girl or somethin’ I don’t know about?”
“What? Nah, man. No. Definitely not.” Tommy knows his answer comes too quickly, too dismissive for it to be even remotely believable. But it’s true, isn’t it? You’re not his girl. You just…well, you’re his niece. Sort of.
Joel eyes him suspiciously. All he says is, “Never would’ve imagined you’d skip out on that.” But it’s enough to convince Tommy that his brother doesn’t believe him for even a second.
He lay awake that night, head filled with thoughts of you. Because Tommy knows Joel’s right. Before you’d waltzed into his life and altered its course, he would’ve been all over that. Would’ve jumped at the opportunity for an exclusive warehouse party, even knowing what would likely happen. He’d take the migraine and the dehydration and the overdrafted checking account at just the plausible idea of a good time.
And he’d declined so quickly. That’s the part that gets him. The thing that gives him perspective. He hadn’t even debated it for a single second because the things that once brought him joy pale in comparison to simply being at your side.
Saturday morning, Tommy makes a phone call. Says he changed his mind and gets the address of the warehouse.
He spends his afternoon running errands, doing everything he knows he won’t have the energy for tomorrow. And then he showers and puts gel in his hair and picks out a nice outfit. Starched blue jeans that fit him nicely and an expensive leather belt and a white t-shirt. He puts on a simple gold chain and sprays his favorite cologne (trying not to think about the fact that it’s only his favorite because one afternoon you’d said he smelled so good he was ‘edible’).
On the drive over, he has to hype himself up. Has to try and convince himself that this is a good thing. It’s what he needs. To get out there again, to find someone who makes him feel the way you do. Someone nice and age-appropriate and not loosely familial. Someone who doesn’t know Joel or your mother or Sarah or you in any fucking capactiy whatsoever.
Tommy doesn’t think it’s likely that he’ll find that person here, of course. But there’s a possibility, right? To meet someone who could be the love of his life. A slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.
There are more people than he expects. The warehouse looks almost dark on the outside. Quiet and empty. But once the bouncer checks his ID and lets him through the double doors, the inside is a different world entirely.
There are three different bars. One on the left wall, one on the right, and one in the very center of the room in the shape of an oval. There’s a big stage with a live DJ and house music playing loud over the speakers. The dance floor is lively and drenched in neon lights and the air is thick with humidity and the smell of liquor.
Excitement trickles into his bloodstream. It’s been a long while since he’s been in a place like this, but Tommy thinks it might just cure him.
All it takes is a quick text before he finds Mike and the rest of the guys from the work site that decided to show up. There’s only a handful of them, but they all split the bill for a round of shots, and Tommy orders a whiskey and coke.
They’re here for one reason, of course—and Tommy’s no different. They chat for a while, but eventually the guys all peel off from the group one by one after buying a girl a drink and then proceeding to disappear into the crowd of dancing bodies.
Mike has a wife, but even he finds someone to dance with, and eventually Tommy sits at the bar alone.
He pulls out his phone. Opens your thread of messages and smiles to himself as he scrolls through them. It’s filled with silly photos and dirty jokes and the occasional text from you that reads, ‘miss you today<3’ and his perpetual response, ‘I always miss you more. Be good, sweetheart.’
Tommy’s so deeply focused on his phone that he nearly jumps out of his skin when his drink is pulled right out of his hands.
He looks up with a scowl on his face, not anticipating a fight but preparing for one, and then—
“Can I have some of that?” You don’t wait for his answer before sipping from his glass, leaving lip gloss stains in the same place his mouth was moments ago.
“What in the fuck?” A crease forms between his brows as he takes in your familiar face, backlit by green and yellow lights. “They’re checking IDs at the door,” he says. “How did you even get in here?”
You roll your eyes. “Oh, come on, Uncle Tommy. You’re telling me you never had a fake when you were my age?”
Tommy knows he probably should say something…responsible right now. Should probably warn you of the dangers in a place like this, especially for a girl like you. Should be taught about covetous men with wandering hands and powders dropped in drinks and cigarettes laced with God knows what.
But he did have a fake ID at your age and could be found at places a whole lot like this one. Two peas in a fucking pod, he thinks.
So, instead, he asks, “Did you, uh…come here with someone? Friends or…I don’t know. A boyfriend, maybe?”
He steels himself in preparation for your answer. You’ve never mentioned a boyfriend before, but you’re at that age. Probably experimenting a little, sifting through the options to find which one suits you best.
But you’re standing at a bar, all alone, buying your own drink. Shitty fucking option, Tommy thinks.
“Why? You jealous or something?” There’s a teasing lilt to your voice, and Tommy knows you’re just trying to get a rise out of him. But the sad part is that you’re not too far off, and that’s what has him turning to the bartender and ordering another.
“Got no reason to be jealous,” Tommy answers with a shrug. “Ain’t exactly like I’ve got a spot on the roster, darlin’.”
Your smile falls. Just barely, almost undetectable. But Tommy notices. Would notice it even if you were across the room. “Is that what you think?”
“It’s what I know.”
“Well, then you’re a fucking idiot, Tommy Miller.” You laugh, but there’s no humor in it. The words are sharp, icy. You take a long drink from his stolen glass. “What stops you?”
His brows furrow. “Stops me…?”
“From doing what you want to me.” It gives him pause, laying it out so boldly like that. The truth he’s never spoken aloud falls so easily from your tongue. “We get so close,” you elaborate. “Just one moment, one choice away…but you never do it. You always hesitate, and then the moment’s gone. So what stops you?”
His morals, your age, your vibrance. You’re so good, so lively and carefree and happy. How does he explain that he doesn’t want to ruin this? Ruin you? How does he explain that taking that next step with you would tarnish both of you forever? Red to blue, green to yellow. It would never be the same.
He’s supposed to protect you. Supposed to give you a shoulder to cry on and a soft landing in your time of need and spot you a twenty when you’re short on cash. Supposed to be a guiding hand as an uncle should. He’s not supposed to be…whatever this is.
Tommy’s relieved when the bartender hands him his drink. “You know what stops me,” he says as if it’s obvious, throwing back half the glass in one long drink. The whiskey burns.
“Would it be different if you didn’t know me?”
“Very,” he answers honestly, his mind filling so easily with those obscene possibilities. “But I do know you, so it doesn’t matter.”
That familiar, troublesome smirk finds its way to your glossy lips. You toss back what remains in your glass, set it on the bar, and say, “I’m going to walk away. Okay? And you’re going to have one of those cases of temporary amnesia.”
Tommy laughs and shakes his head. “You’re crazy,” he says.
But you don’t pay him any mind. “You’re going to forget everything you know about me. Every last detail. I’m just some girl at a club, and you’re just some guy at the bar.” You put your hands on his shoulders, shaking lightly, staring up at him with starry eyes. Tommy’s heart races behind his sternum, but he can’t stop grinning. “I’m not me, and you’re not you. And tomorrow, you’ll be cured. Everything will go back to normal, just like it was. Okay?”
“S’a real bad idea, darlin’,” he warns.
“So don’t make me do it alone.”
Tommy swallows hard. He’s never said no to you in all his life, and it’s just…it’s just one night, right? Maybe it’s what he needs. A slow release of pressure, a controlled indulgence to prevent an explosion.
You see the decision as he makes it. Know what he’s thinking without him speaking a single word. Tommy covers his mouth to stifle his rugged amusement as he watches you take five steps away from him, turn in a complete circle, and then make your way back to the bar.
In a dramatic show of film-esque seduction, you lean against the bar and say, “Well, aren’t you a tall glass of water?”
“Oh, Jesus Christ,” Tommy mutters to himself, smiling so hard the apples of his cheeks hurt.
You playfully slap his bicep with the back of your hand. “Aren’t you going to ask if you can buy me a drink? Wine and dine me?”
He recalls your very first conversation, that one in Joel’s kitchen when you’d promised not to let any man inside your mouth without properly romancing you first. “Alright, then,” he resigns. “What’re you havin,’ sweetheart?”
“Whiskey,” you say, and he’s not the least bit surprised.
Tommy buys your drink and says, “You look…really beautiful.” You’re wearing a silvery satin dress, sinfully short, tight in all the right places. The straps are thin against your otherwise bare shoulders, and he reaches out and gently runs his knuckles down the curve of your collarbone. He thinks it might be the very first time he’s ever touched you here, and it’s not inherently a sexual caress, but it feels so… intimate. Heavy.
You glance down at yourself, at the strappy black heels on your feet. “Thank you,” you say. “But I think it’d look even better on your bedroom floor.”
“Fuck yeah it would,” he agrees, chuckling.
“Do you wanna dance?”
Tommy’s never abandoned a drink so fast in his life. He takes your hand in his and says, “I thought you’d never ask.”
He leads you through the crowd while the DJ plays some bass-heavy pop song he’s heard on the radio a hundred times. He finds a reasonable space and raises your hand above your head, turning you so he can properly appreciate the sight of that dress.
“You’re fucking perfect,” he says. “Do you know that?”
You roll your eyes like it’s a joke, but Tommy’s being dead serious. You say, “Shut up.” But he sees the way your cheeks heat, even beneath the flashing lights.
You sway your hips in time to the beat, body moving in sync with the music. There’s nothing shy or timid about it; that allure of yours comes so easily, glowing from the inside out.
Tommy’s never been a good dancer, and he knows it, but it doesn’t feel that way at all. You seem to find such amusement in his nonsensical movements, not a drop of apprehension trickles into his psyche.
When you grab his hands and place them on your hips, he lets his instinct take over. Pulls you in close, chests pressed together, his thigh between your legs. You sing the lyrics as if every song is your favorite with a face-splitting grin and those sweet giggles falling from your lips. He pushes you away and spins you around, only to pull you right back. Right into his waiting embrace, right where you belong. Your breath comes fast, but you don’t slow down, and neither does he.
He’s not sure he’s ever felt like this in his entire life. This open, this full. A strange sort of nostalgia passes through him, a homesickness, missing the moment before it’s even passed, knowing he’ll eventually look back on this night as the best he’s ever had.
The air is hot and stiff, but he breathes in your oxygen, and it gives him life. You move together so seamlessly, and Tommy thinks about how he’d come here seeking the possible love of his life and wonders if it’s fate that you were here.
Fate that you had a fake ID, that you somehow knew about the same exclusive pop-up party he’d declined and then came to anyway. Fate that you’d be here alone, that you’d choose one bar out of three others, and that he just happened to be standing there at the very same time. In a warehouse filled with a thousand strangers, you’d somehow found him.
The songs flow and fade, bleeding from one to the next. You dance and dance, and Tommy watches you—enthralled, obsessed, in love.
He loses track of the time, thinks hours could have passed without his notice, and he wouldn’t have even cared. But when he sees a bead of sweat trickle down your neck, he asks, “Wanna step out for a minute?”
You nod once, and Tommy grabs your hand again and pulls you out of the crowd. He gives the bouncer a tight-lipped smile as you slip out of the wide doors. There’s a designated smoking area near the entrance, and that’s where Tommy leads you.
The music can still be heard outside, muffled and low. He pulls the pack of Marlboros out of his back pocket, lights one, and inhales deeply. When he looks up, he finds you watching him, leaning back against the concrete wall of the warehouse, the blue light of the moon reflected in your eyes.
You outstretch your hand and take the cigarette from between his fingers, taking a slow drag. “Do you bring girls you don’t know home often?”
Tommy can see right through you. Sees that unease beneath your smile, sees the way you feel the need to ask but don’t want the answer, and relates to it. It makes his stomach turn, though. Because he doesn’t ever want you to think of yourself that way, doesn’t want you to think for a single second that this is anything like that.
Because you’re not a girl he doesn’t know. Not just a means to an end. You’re you.
You’re everything.
“I don’t like this,” he admits quietly. “The pretending.”
You pass the cigarette back to him, and when he puts it to his mouth, he can taste the cherry flavor of your lip gloss on the orange filter. “Would you have as much fun, though? With all that added weight.”
Tommy doesn’t know. Has never had a fucking clue about anything in all his life, really. Never knew what he wanted to do or who he wanted to be.
The only thing that has ever been clear to him is you.
“If we stopped pretending,” you say. “What would you do?”
He hesitates.
And then decides not to let this moment pass him.
He places both hands on either side of your face and kisses you hard, hungry. Tasting you feels like a breath of fresh air, like relief. Your bottom lip slots between his so perfectly that he thinks you must have been made for him, that there could never be anyone else. When you let out the most delicious whimper he’s ever heard, Tommy slides his tongue into your mouth and moans.
It feels like time wasted, like this is what he’s been meant to do his whole life, and now he has to make up for the opportunity lost.
When he pulls away, it’s reluctant, still cradling your pretty face in his hands. Your eyes are wide, and your breath is labored.
“That’s what I would do,” he says.
A minute passes, and you just stare at him, searching his eyes for something. Doubt, maybe. But you won’t find any, because Tommy Miller has never been more sure of anything in his entire life.
And then, finally—
“Uncle Tommy?”
No more pretending. “Yeah, sweetheart?”
“I want you to take me home. Right now,” you say.
“Now?”
“Yes. Right the fuck now. Please.”
He smiles widely. “C’mon, baby.”
Tommy takes you to his truck and buckles you in. The ride back to his apartment feels like a blur. He’s barely had two drinks, but you make him feel drunk.
You can’t keep your hands off him. It only takes three seconds once he pulls onto the road before you’re unbuckling your seatbelt and sliding across the cab. You press wet, open-mouthed kisses to the side of his neck and run your hands over his strong thighs, giggling all the while.
He has to reel you in a little after almost running a red light. “Careful, now,” he says, taking your hand in his free one and pressing a kiss to the back of it. “If I die before I get to eat your pussy I’ll come back and haunt the fuck out of you.”
You throw your head back and laugh, but Tommy means it.
It’s a relief when he pulls in the parking lot in one piece, but before he even cuts the ignition, you’re crawling into his lap.
His pretty, desperate girl.
You kiss him deep, tongue sliding against his, hips tilting over the already hard cock in his jeans. He could cum just like this, Tommy knows, with you on top of him and your hands tangled in the curls at the nape of his neck. You smell sweet and seductive, and he can think of nothing beyond this singular moment.
“Let’s just do it right here,” you say, panting, hands sliding beneath his t-shirt. “I want you so bad. I’ve wanted it for so long, please.”
There are no words to describe how much it satisfies him to hear it, to hear you beg for him. But you deserve better than this. Deserve so much more than a back seat fuck. He wants to give you everything, wants to give you all of him. “I know, sweetheart, I know,” he says. Because he does. “Wanna see you in my bed, though.”
You wrap your arms around his neck, and Tommy uses it to his advantage, holding you close as he quickly gets out of the truck and locks it behind him. You’re a giggling mess, pressing kisses to his face as he makes his way inside and up the stairs to his apartment. “You’re so handsome,” you say. “Have I ever told you that?”
“A hundred times,” he says, kicking the door closed behind him. “But one more won’t hurt.”
His apartment is a mess. There are dishes in the sink and clothes on the floor and an empty plate on the coffee table, but just seeing you here makes his heart swell in his chest.
He begins to wonder if this is where you’re meant to be; taking up room in his space, kicking off your shoes at the front door.
Tommy’s cock pulses in the confines of his jeans.
“Kiss me again,” you say. “Kiss me like you mean it.”
He does. His mouth clashes against yours, tongue licking into your sweet mouth, savoring the taste of what remains of your shimmery lip gloss.
Tommy’s hands drift lower, squeezing at the round globes of your ass, pulling you impossibly closer. One of his hands dips between your thighs, feeling the soft lace you wear beneath that sinful dress. “Fuck,” he hisses. “Fuck, I need to taste you. Been dreamin’ about it.”
“You dream about me?”
He wraps his big arms around your waist and lifts you. “Every fuckin’ night,” he admits, turning towards his bedroom.
Doesn’t make it very far, though. Because when you wrap your legs around his waist and rut against him, Tommy lets out a low sound from somewhere deep inside his chest before laying you back against the kitchen island.
“Fuck it,” he murmurs to himself. Close enough, he thinks.
You look so fucking pretty like this. All sprawled out for him, flushed with your swollen lips parted and your pupils blown wide. He’d always known it would be a sight to behold, but this…it’s something else entirely.
Cataclysmic. Divine sacrilege.
He leans over you and kisses your chest softly. “Tell me you want this,” he says. “That you want me.”
Your answer comes fast. “I want you, Uncle Tommy.”
And he feels a deep-seated desire swirl low in his abdomen. Because it’s fucked up. He knows it is. Is completely, lucidly aware that this is all wrong. Filthy and twisted.
Yet he wants it anyway. Maybe not despite it, but because of it. Pleasure heightened with this sick perversion.
He slides his hands under your dress and hooks his fingers around the lace, pulling it down your legs. You’re so wet for him he can see it stick, webs of slick snapping as he groans at the sight. “Goddamn, sweetheart,” he whispers. “Didn’t tell me it was like this.”
“I need you so bad it hurts,” you tell him. “Get so wet just thinking about it.” Your voice is low and desperate, almost a cry.
“Don’t worry, baby,” he says. “Uncle Tommy’s going to take care of you, okay? Gonna make that ache go away.”
He kisses you slowly. Starts at your ankle and slowly works his way up. He kisses and bites the insides of your thighs, savoring the moment not for you but for him, leaving indentations of his teeth in your flesh. A memory, he thinks. A promise that you’ll think of this tomorrow and the next day. That you’ll remember the way he made you feel.
Then he’s rolling your dress up your hips, delighting in the way you get all shy and squirmy as he takes you in, unashamed in his study. “Such a pretty little pussy,” he says. “Gonna make her feel real good, sweetheart. Don’t you worry.”
He surges forward, licking through your folds. memorizing the way your slit feels beneath his tongue because he never wants to forget this. Never wants to forget the way you gasp beneath him or the way your hands pull at his hair. “Oh my god.”
“Shhh,” he murmurs. “I’ve got you, pretty girl.” he kisses your clit. Once, twice, before sucking it between his lips. He spreads your legs wide and presses his mouth to you, nose crinkling against your pubic bone.
He could die here a happy man. You taste divine, better than anything his mind could have ever conjured up. He licks and sucks until you’re writhing, and when he presses two fingers gently into your opening, your back arches off the counter top.
Tommy hooks two fingers inside you, hitting that sweet spot, your perfect moans echoing through his kitchen. He wraps an arm around your thigh and pulls you roughly to the edge of the counter. His tongue is warm and wet as he uses it to circle your clit, groaning against you, sending vibrations through your body.
His name falls from your mouth between gasping breaths. You grind yourself against him, making a delicious mess of his face and pulling at the roots of his hair.
He can feel you clenching around his fingers, chasing that high, chasing release. Tommy decides to give you a little encouragement. “Go on, now,” he mutters against your spit-soaked clit. “Take it, baby. You deserve it. Been so fuckin’ good for so long. Deserve a reward.”
Your breath halts, just for a second. And then you let out a long, salacious moan and your legs tremble around his head. Tommy feels your walls pulse around his two fingers, squeezing them hard. “Fuck, fuck—”
“That’s it,” he praises, flicking his soft tongue gently over your clit, fingers working you through it, pressing in deep. “There you go, shhh. Just like that.”
He looks up at you, branding this image in his brain. The arch of your back, the strain in your throat as you desperately take in oxygen, the way the shimmery, silver sequins on your dress cast little rainbows across his apartment. He’ll never forget it for as long as he lives.
“You look so beautiful, darlin’,” he says. “So pretty when you cum for your Uncle Tommy.”
Only when your writhing stops and your breath evens out does he slow the rhythm of his fingers, caressing your insides slowly, gently, making sure he coaxes it all out of you and delighting in the little whimpers you make in response. And then he carefully slides them out of you, digits slick and glossy with your release. Your eyes are glued to his as he brings them to his mouth and licks them clean, not wasting a single drop. That smirk of yours forms as you say, breathless, “Kiss me.”
Tommy grips the back of your neck and pulls you forward, grinning as he gives you what you need. He kisses you eagerly, tongue finding yours, licking into your mouth.
“Can taste it,” you mutter, giggling against his lips. “I made a real mess of you.”
In more ways than one, Tommy thinks. “Tastes fuckin’ good, though,” he says. “Just gettin’ started, anyway.”
He lifts you off the counter, laughing as you squeal in surprise when he tosses you over his shoulder so easily. You fist your hands in the bottom of his wrinkled t-shirt, seeking stability. “I bet you have blue sheets,” you say.
Tommy snorts. “You’ve thought about the color of my sheets?” Such a simple thing, an irrelevant part of his life that has never mattered to him in any capacity.
“Duh,” you say as if it’s obvious, and Tommy’s suddenly overwhelmed with warmth. He likes that you think about it—his sheets, his bedroom, him. Likes knowing he’s not been alone in his mania. “Always knew I’d end up in them.”
He laughs darkly as he pushes open the door and shoulders you onto his bed, right in the center of his navy blue sheets.
You smile up at him, beaming with pride, and he shakes his head as you say, “Told ya.”
It doesn’t surprise him that you’d guessed correctly because you know him. Better than anyone else ever has. Because you and Tommy are one and the same, two sides to the same twisted coin. “Yeah, yeah, alright,” he teases, crawling over you, knees braced on either side of your thighs. “S’enough outta you, know it all.”
You open your mouth, probably to make some filthy joke, but whatever it is never sees the light of day because Tommy hooks his fingers around the thin straps of your dress and pulls them down your shoulders. He tugs at the fabric until your breasts are bared to him, pretty and soft and perfect.
He cups them tenderly in his hands, thumbs grazing the hardened peaks of your nipples. He watches goosebumps rise across your chest, and it brings a sick smile to his face. “S’that feel good, sweetheart?”
“Yes,” you breathe, eyes heavy. “Touch me more. Wanna feel you.”
Tommy’s never heard a more tempting request in his life. He leans over and presses his mouth to your chest, hands roaming over your skin. He takes your nipple in his mouth and flicks his tongue over the sensitive flesh, sighing against you at the sound of your moan.
He pushes your dress down to your hips and lets you shimmy the rest of the way out of it, kicking the shiny fabric onto the floor. You lift your hips to meet his, and his cock is so hard and needy that the smallest bit of friction nearly knocks him on his ass. “Shit,” he hisses, trailing kisses across your chest, spreading his worship. He plans to take his time, wants to see just how close he can get you with just his mouth on your tits.
But then your voice breaks through your breathy whimpers. “Uncle Tommy,” you say. “Wait. Wait, I—”
He stops, pulling back, giving you room to breathe. The coldness of fear begins to trickle in as he anticipates your next words. Has he gone too far? Said too much, moved too fast?
“I want you in my mouth,” you say with those pretty eyes, and he convinces himself he’s dreaming. “Please.”
Because this can’t be real. There’s no way in hell he’s looking at you, naked in his bed, begging to suck his cock. His pretty, perfect girl. Tommy runs his hands down his face, and a sound of utter disbelief escapes him. But then he’s nodding, just as eager. “Yeah, baby,” he says. “Course you can.”
Your responding smile sends a shiver down his spine. Carefully, you move from beneath him, hands tugging at the buckle of his leather belt. He can do nothing but watch with reverence as you unbutton his jeans and pull at his zipper, tongue wetting your lips.
The air gets stuck in his lungs as you reach into his boxers and pull him out with gentle fingers. It’s hypnotic, the way you touch him. You press a sweet, chaste kiss to his tip and with that one touch alone he’s already fighting for his fucking life.
But he lets you do what you want to him. Lets you move at your own pace. Tommy’s grateful you’re slow in your pursuit, though. Tasting him, tongue gliding down the underside of his shaft, savoring.
When you finally take him fully in your mouth, his head falls back and he sighs deeply. It’s almost too much to feel you and look at you, but Tommy doesn’t want to miss it. He strokes your hair as you hollow out your cheeks and greedily swallow him down. “Fuck,” he groans. “Look so good with my dick in your mouth. Yeah, there you go. Just like that.”
You suck harder, take him in deeper. His vision blurs, and pleasure builds and builds and builds, rushing to the surface of his skin.
“Easy,” he warns. You look at him through your lashes, lips parted around his heavy cock. It’s the most pornographic image he’s ever fucking seen and it’s going to have him cumming down your throat. “Easy, easy, easy—” Tommy takes a handful of your hair and pulls you back, dick pulsing as he watches strands of your spit stick to him. “Jesus Christ, sweetheart.”
Pure, sprightly giggles bubble from your glossy lips. So beautiful it hurts him. “Can I tell you what I want?”
“Always,” he promises, and means it.
You move across his bed, crawling back towards the headboard. Your voice is low, a seductive whisper as you tell him, “I want you to take off your clothes.”
He does. Starts by pulling his t-shirt over his head and tossing it to the floor. Then he takes off his boots and shoves his jeans and boxers down, discarding them beside your pretty little dress.
“I want you to come over here and kiss me,” you say. Tommy moves on instinct, crawling towards you. He’s nearly there when you speak again, mouth hovering over yours. “And then I want you inside me, Uncle Tommy.”
He shivers as you spread your legs slowly, putting on a sweet little show. All for him. “Yeah?”
“Mmhm,” you murmur. You slide your hands down your body, that troublesome look on your face, teasing. As you glide your fingers through your pussy, slick and glossy, you continue. “Wanna watch it go in. Wanna see it here,” you say, pressing hard against your lower abdomen.
Tommy’s always given you everything you’ve ever wanted. Has never had any problem satisfying all your needs. And that doesn’t change now, either.
He kisses you slowly. Meaningfully. There’s intent behind it. Love. Adoration. He hopes you can feel it. Hope you can sense it.
With his forehead against yours, he lines himself up at your entrance. He cradles your face with his hand. Says, “Tell me if it hurts.”
And then he’s pushing inside you, and his hands shake. You watch it, just as you wanted. Watch his cock split you open, watch your pretty pussy make room for him. And Tommy watches you, delighting in the way your eyes go wide and watery, in the way your lips part in a gasp.
He sinks into you all the way, hips pressed tight against yours. And when he pulls back out his cock is covered in your slick. “How’s it feel, baby?”
You nod frantically, chest heaving. “S’good,” you answer. “So fucking…God. You’re so big.”
Tommy tilts his hips, quickly finding a cadence that makes you cry out his name. You feel like heaven. Warm and wet, soaked. The sounds echo in his bedroom, obscene and filthy. He kisses your forehead, your nose, your temple. Every part of you he can reach. “This what you wanted? Hm?”
“Yes, yes, please—”
“Shh, s’alright, darlin’. Ain’t gotta beg me. Uncle Tommy’s got you.” Your silky walls grip his cock tighter as he says it, and he knows then and there that you’re the same in this, too. Knows that you like the perversion, the corruption, the filth.
He thrusts harder, deeper. Your back arches, and your hand reaches for his. Tommy laces his fingers through yours and has never felt closer to anyone in his life. You say, “I needed you,” and he agrees.
“I know, baby. Me too. I’m here now. Gonna make you cum for me.” He uses his free hand and presses it to your lips. “Open your mouth.”
You do. His perfect girl. He presses his fingers past your lips, into your mouth. Your tongue swirls around them, coating them in your spit. And then he snakes his arm between you and circles your clit, tortorously gentle. “Oh my fucking God,” you cry, squeezing your eyes shut.
But Tommy won’t have it. “Nuh-uh. Look at me, baby,” he says. “C’mon. Wanna see the way you look cumming on Uncle Tommy’s cock, huh?” You do as he says, and a tear rolls down your cheek. “There you go. Just like that. Good job.”
“Tommy,” you whimper, pussy fluttering around him. He’s not going to last long, not like this. Not when you cry for him so beautifully.
He circles your clit faster, fighting off the bliss that creeps up his spine. “Right here,” he says, kissing your tears away, salt clinging to his lips. “Stay right here with me, sweet girl. Takin’ it so fuckin’ well for me.”
Your fingernails dig into the back of his hand and he knows you’re there, can feel your pussy sucking him in deeper. “Cum with me,” you say, breath ragged. “Cum with me, please.”
“Fuck, fuck…baby, I don’t know if—”
“It’s okay, I promise,” you tell him, voice pleading. “I’m on birth control, I swear. Just…I want to feel it, Uncle Tommy. Want you to fill me up.”
This will damn him, he knows.
“Please, please, please. I’m gonna—I’m gonna cum, oh my God—”
He’d do anything for you.
“Always gonna give you what you want,” he says. “My favorite girl.”
Your eyes are starry as you crest that high, somehow even more exquisite than the first time. Sweet moans fill the room, and your thighs shake as your release rocks through you, spine bending off his blue sheets. You cry out his name, and that’s what sets him over the edge.
His cock pulses inside of you, painting your insides with thick, sticky ropes of cum. It’s the most intense orgasm he’s ever had, and he knows he’ll chase this high for the rest of his fucking life. “That’s it,” he whispers, his breath hot against the shell of your ear. “Such a filthy little thing, beggin’ for your Uncle Tommy to fill you up with his cum. You’re so perfect for me.”
He gives you every last drop, thrusting in deep until his cock is so overstimulated it almost hurts. But he circles your clit with his spit-soaked fingers until you come down, walls spasming uncontrollably around him.
When he finally pulls out of you, he does it gently. And then he collapses on the bed beside you, panting to try and slow the racing of his heart. He turns his head to look at you and catches your eye, and he’s not quite sure why, but you both grin and just laugh.
There’s no dirty joke or any sort of amusement. Nothing’s funny, but Tommy supposes he’s just…well, he’s happy. Seeing you on the right side of his mattress, all naked and fucked out and satisfied, it just feels so right.
And he knows it’s not. Knows it’s so far removed from the idea of right that it’s absurd, but you’re stifling your laughter behind your hands and turning away from him to try and find some sort of composure, and Tommy thinks maybe he just doesn’t fucking care.
Doesn’t care about right or wrong, doesn’t care about what anyone would think or say. Because how could he when you’re at his side? How could anything else on God’s green earth ever matter to him as much as you?
It can’t happen again. He knows that.
But this is enough, Tommy thinks. This one night. A stolen moment in time that will forever belong only to the two of you, where nothing and no one matters beyond his apartment. The life here, the love between you, encased so perfectly in these four walls…it’s a gift. One he doesn’t deserve. Sweet as maple syrup and warm as the hot summer sun.
And yet it’s been given to him anyway, and Tommy Miller’s going to cherish it for the rest of his life.
When you finally turn back to him, you lie on your side with a face-splitting grin. “We’re so fucked,” you say.
Tommy laughs. “Oh, absolutely,” he agrees, pulling you close. He wraps his arms around your waist and treasures the weight of your head on his chest. “Totally, completely fucked.”
“Well, at least we’re together.”
He smiles. Presses a soft kiss to the top of your head. “Yeah,” he whispers. “At least there’s that.”
Two peas in a fucking pod.

PT2: HERE
I can imagine farmer!Gojo allowing you free roam of the farm as long as you stay away from the bulls that’s the only thing he takes seriously. He expects such a ditzy thing like you to listen and obey this one simple rule.
Farmer!Gojo has been extremely busy tending to the other animals on the farm that he completely neglects to milk you, even when you come to him whining that your boobs hurt he really can’t offer the time, even if you emphasize how heavy they feel, that you can’t milk them yourself.
In retaliation or at least to get some of the attention off the other animals you start wandering near where the bull!hybrids reside. You can see them but they can’t see you and damn are they big, they look ruff with messy faces that look like Gojo has been putting them to work.
BullHybrid!Toji is the first to spot you peering at them, he alerts BullHybrid!Suguru to check out the little cow seemingly lost.
Toji clicks his tongue to get your attention, you perk up, oh he’s got you now. He quietly ushers you to come closer. Suguru watches on as you do start taking little steps towards them, you look on alert: so Satoru has been spreading lies about them. That just won’t do, you need to come closer so they can clear their name!
You’re only a few big steps away from them, you won’t get any closer than this.
Suguru takes a minute to admire you, he hated Satoru for constantly keeping you locked up in your area, only he himself was allowed to see you. Even when he and Toji practically begged to meet you all answers were instantly met with a no. So getting to see you up close makes him excited.
Toji thinks you’re cute but far too innocent looking, you need to ruined and rebuilt what better man to do that than himself.
“Tits are a little full don’t you think?” Tojis the one who bluntly says that out loud. Suguru hadn’t looked but when he does they really do look full and heavy, it looks almost painful: poor poor thing.
“Want some help with em? I know you do.”
“Cmere, Satoru clearly hasn’t been doing his job too busy messing with the other female hybrids”
You feel a twinge of jealously at that statement but wanting to get back at Satoru outweighs that by a ton, so you step closer and take Suguru’s open hand whilst Toji puts his hand on the small of your back and lead you to their cabin.
You’re not sure who slips off your tank-top all you can feel and think about is big hands running all over your body, much larger and thicker than Satoru’s delicate hands. You do know that Toji is prying your thighs apart and filting himself in between them, those little shorts that leave too much of your pudgy ass and thighs leaking out immediately come off. Suguru takes your hand and has you feel up his cock, you’re damn near frightened at the size of the bull. His eyes look so lusty as they bore into yours, he knows he won’t get to have your cunt today so he’ll settle for your mouth.
Toji takes off your too tight shorts that show off the pudge of your ass and the thickness of your thighs, he takes the panties off as well, a moment of solace passes through as he stares at your glistening cunt, he’s waited far too long for this, too many attempts with Satoru at getting the chance to meet you and way too many no’s.
Toji is the reason you aren’t allowed near them, the day you got here he couldn’t stop staring, the next week he couldn’t stop staring it got to a point where ever cautious Satoru started only allowing you to roam the front, never the back. He prods at your sticky cunt with his tip, nudging your clit that elicits a soft moan out of you.
Everytime he touches your hole it’s already trying to suck him in, you’re a greedy one he can already tell. And he isn’t one to not let you have it, he can acknowledge that you won’t be able to fully take him without hours of prep so he’ll only give you a little past the tip. When he begins pushing inside he already feels how hot and warm you are.
You gasp when you feel him, your needy little body trying to explore that bit of pleasure from the stretch. He spreads your legs further holding them down on either side of you. Suguru taps the tip of his cock on your pretty lips, signaling for you to open them, you obediently listen and begin sucking the pre off.
“Fuck.. just like that..” he groans, his pretty black hair cascades around his body so beautifully, why was Satoru keeping such men away from you?
Suguru grabs a your boob and squeezes it rather hardly, a spurt of milk leaks out enticing him to do it again, a sigh of relief can be heard slipping calmly from you.
In a whiny tone you urge Suguru to keep doing that, it feels really good.
Toji is using all his restraint not to filt himself to be balls deep in your pussy, the creamy feeling of him only being able to push in a certain amount and pull away is driving him crazy, but he isn’t going to stop in fear that this will be over too soon, no they’re going to savor this and savor you.
Toji leans down and takes the other boob not occupied in his mouth, sliding the honeyed taste all over his tastebuds.
“Ah-mnnhh..” you push his head deeper, coaxing him to drink you till your dry. The other bull is making sure you’re paying extra attention to his sensitive slit, making sure you’re lapping up every drop that comes out.
Toji leaning down has his chest sometimes bumping against your little sloppy clit, it pushes you over, a loud yelp rippling through the air as you squirt just a little, that clearly won’t do! They’re sure they can pull even more from you, it seems you’ll be here for a while :(.
BOUNS:
When you come back to the main house with a shirt that isn’t yours, smelling like sweat and sex Satoru is fucking livid. He gave you simple orders to not mess with those bulls and you choose to disobey? He’s also baffled that his sweet girl would do something like that, he thought you were better than that.
“Toru, I had been asking you for over a week to help me!”
Attitude? Raising your voice at him? Who the hell are you and what have you done with his girl?
You move past Satoru and go to your shared bedroom, his breath hitches in his throat when you come out dragging the cover and a pillow and head towards the spare room.
“I-“ he attempts to get a word out before the door is slammed right in his face.

Dead on MAYn Day 6
Trope | Enemies at First Sight/Scar Soulmates
Dialogue | "I would believe that you're fine, but that's a knife sticking out of your goddamn leg, so…"
cw: blood, medical care, scars
“Hey, um, are… you okay? Can I call someone? Or, like, help you get somewhere?”
“I’m fine,” Red Hood growled back at the voice from the bright edge of the alley.
“Yeah, I would believe that you're fine, but that's a knife sticking out of your goddamn leg, so…”
Hood snorted, the sound ugly through the mask. “Yeah. Hurts like a mother too.”
“I’m sure.” The figure was a broad one—broader than Hood was maybe. It seemed like they filled up the entrance to alley. It wasn’t threatening though. In fact, they seemed almost hunched in on themselves. “I’ve got my bike close. I can give you a ride to wherever you need and completely forget where I’ve been after.”
“Yeah? Good at forgetting, are you?” Hood rasped.
“I’m a college student in the middle of finals, chances are I won’t remember this at all,” they said dryly.
“If you try anything, I can still kill you,” Hood pointed out.
“No doubt of that at all!” they said, way too cheerfully. “I’ll grab my bike and be right back.”
Hood let his head thump back against the wall. He gave it an eighty:twenty that guy would come back himself. Forty:sixty that they would try something on the way. Seventy:thirty that this would come back to bite him in the ass later. But his leg fucking hurt.
He could save himself some trouble now and later if he got dropped of at Leslie’s instead of a safe house. The clinic being somewhere Red Hood would shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. It would mean a lecture, though. And possibly some heat for Leslie.
He was pretty sure the knife didn’t hit anything vital.
Hood was just pulling out the last of the bandages he’d need with the person came back. The roar of a beast of a bike was the first hint, and then their shadow blocked the alleyway for a moment before they approached.
They were pretty nondescript. Unruly Black hair, slightly scruffy beard like they jut hadn’t had time to trip it up lately. They had on a hoodie under a worn leather jacket and jeans. It was only the bright turquoise eyes that really caught Hood’s attention.
“Time for the knife to come out? Let me help with the bandages while you do the pulling,” they said, still annoyingly cheerful.
“I could kill you with the knife,” Hood pointed out, just to be ornery.
The guy just snorted. “Sure, you could, but you wouldn’t. You’re the Red Hood and I’ve not fucked with anything on your nope list. Hell, the worst thing I’ve done this month is glared at a little old abuela because she was talking so loudly on her phone on the subway. Like, okay, you’re old, you’re look one sneeze away from scattering into dust, I’m sure there’s hearing loss, but spare the rest of us, you know?”
As they chattered, they took the bandages from Hood and then squatted down. And Jesus their thighs rivaled Hood’s. They made quite a sight down there at Hood’s feet like that.
Fuck, get a hold of yourself, Hood. So it’s been a long time, but this wasn’t the time.
Hood yanked the knife out with a bit back noise. The guy’s hands were there instantly, pressing the gauze down tightly for a little bit before wrapping it under the bandage. It was crude, but Hood just needed it to last to the safe house where he could clean it up properly.
He tossed the guy a wet wipe to clean up with and then took the trash and stowed it away to burn later. Then Hood pushed himself up off the wall, ignoring the offered hand, and limped towards the entrance of the alleyway.
The bike was impressive, even Hood had to admit it. His fingers itched a little to poke and prod at the beast. It was an old school hog, or a least that’s where most of it’s bit came from, but it was clearly a custom work in progress. It actually looked like it could support both of them too.
“He’s a looker, isn’t he?” the guy asked with a proud smile. “Not done yet, of course, but I’m working on it! Oh, I’m Danny.”
“Danny,” Hood repeated with a little nod. “He/him fine?”
Danny blinked in surprise at the consideration. “Yeah, good with me. Um, right, I know you know how to ride, just signal where you want me to turn and things.”
Hood gave a little nod, waited for Danny to climb on to his bike and put his helmet on, and then carefully settled behind him. The engine roared to life with a lovely purr and then they were of.
Danny didn’t try anything.
“I knew you were going to be a fucking problem,” Hood growled as he stalked across the roof to where Danny stood bashfully, as if he hadn’t just basically put up a bat signal to summon Hood.
Two out of three wasn’t bad.
-
“I mean, I didn’t show up at your house or anything!” Danny defended. “I just—look, we just need to talk.”
Hood crossed his arms. “Talk?”
“Or I’ll talk, and you can just listen! That’s fine too!” Danny said. “Look, so after I took you where you needed to go a few weeks ago I went home, showered, and crashed hard. But then I woke up and—look, I’m sorry for this, but you’re the one who got stabbed there!”
And then Danny started undoing his pants.
Which, what? Hood was pretty sure that he wasn’t dreaming this time. He focused on imagining a red ball to check if he was lucid dreaming.
Nope, nothing.
Danny was still pulling down his jeans over his very well toned thighs. And Jesus if Jason hadn’t been having dreams before—
“See?” Danny said. “I have a fresh scar right where you’ve been stabbed! And I haven’t done anything that could have given me it.”
There was indeed a pink, freshly healing scar on Danny’s legs, right where Hood had been stabbed. But Danny couldn’t be implying that.
“That’s one scar, it doesn’t prove anything,” Jason snapped even as he stepped closer.
Scar soulmates were one of the rarer types. Jason had never even considered having one. He had always thought empathy was mostly likely for him, with his moods. No one should have the scars that he had. No one should share his marks, not even a soulmate.
“It’s just one little scar, I know.” Danny yanked his jeans back up but didn’t bother fastening them before he pulled his shirt and hoodie up instead. An ugly, surgical Y crossed his chest. “But this one’s a little more distinctive.”
Jason stumbled back from Danny, hand pressed to his own chest.
Danny just stepped forward. “You had to have wondered where that came from. People don’t just get a scar like that.”
“What?”
“It’s—I was—”
Jason shook his head. “No, that’s my scar. I died.”
Danny paused. “What?”
“I died. And then I woke up in my coffin. I had that scar. I always assumed it was an autopsy scar…” but that didn’t make any sense, did it? Why would Bruce have let an autopsy happen? It was clear how Jason had died. And that how was revealing, too revealing. Why had Jason never thought of that before? Why had he assumed? “But… it’s not, is it. It’s yours?”
Danny nodded.
Anger surged through Jason, bubbled up like the growl in the back of his throat. He stalked forward. This time, Danny took a step back.
“Who did that to you?” Jason growled. He yanked Danny’s shirt back up and pressed his gloved fingers over the scar. “Who hurt you?”
“Well, you know, the usual. Shadowy government organization intent on studying me like a lab rat,” Danny said with an awkward chuckle.
Jason was going to get more information than that. He was going to find them and end them for what they had done to Danny. He was going to—
“Hood, breathe,” Danny said. “I’m okay now. I’m right here, aren’t I?”
Jason ran his fingers over Danny’s side and the round scar there. A bullet from his Robin days. Batman had been pissed after that one. Or was it worried?
“Can we—is there somewhere we can go to talk this over? I’m not… I’m not expecting anything from you,” Danny said in a way that already sounded heartbroken, “but I feel like we should at least talk about it, right?”
“Yeah.” Jason swallowed back his nerves and every part of him that wanted to wrap Danny up in his arms and never let go. “Yeah. Come on, I have a safe house close. We can talk there. We can talk about everything.”

Danny, who always knew cause wow Jason has a lot of scars, patting Jason's back and very amused and flattered that Red Hood wants to go destroy the GIW for him. Maybe Danny will let him.
AN:
Jason, who thought he didn't have a soulmate and that meant something because he didn't have the normal types and he didn't get (noticeable) scars because all of Danny's big ones were as Phantom, clinging desperately to Danny like ;-;

gojo is used to strange people with strange requests. he gets paid for doing people’s dirty work, things they’d never do themselves, so this is pretty standard in his line of work.
he had to survive somehow, and if becoming the bidder of bad tidings was what made him coin, then he wasn’t one to complain.
another thing that gojo had gotten especially good at is knowing when somebody is looking for him. it’s usually scurried glances and sweaty palms that give them away. which is why now, as he’s resting an ale in hand at the back of the tavern, does he feel this sense go off.
he sits alone, not looking up from his drink as he feels a set of eyes on him. tonight was his night of rest, his horse was sleeping outside, and he had booked a room just for himself. he didn’t care what they gave him. he was checked out for the night.
the room is crowded, with loud and boisterous laughter filling any gaps of silence. people are taking and shouting, but it doesn’t mask the set of footsteps getting near to where he was trying to hide away from everybody else.
gojo keeps his head down, his nose wrinkling in annoyance when timid hands set a pouch in front of him. filled to the brim with gold, most likely.
“i need your help,” a voice, frightful and cracking, says.
gojo rolls his eyes. this isn’t the first time a girl has run away from his rich family and begs him for a chance away. but he’s done that too many times, gone through too much. he’d rather just kill the parents. he takes a sip of his drink, resting his back on the wall.
he knows how this usually goes. a girl wants to run away, she finds him, they end up running away, only for the girl to feel guilty and beg him to take her back home. either that or she has no plan in mind and forces him on an endless chase to somewhere she doesn’t even know.
judging by the tone of your voice, he’s betting you’re a mix of both right now.
“i’m not offering any help right now,” he says, twisting a ring back and forth on his fingers, one he had stollen a while ago.
“i have more gold,” you beg, “i need your help… please. i heard you’re the only person who’s made it through the north alive.”
gojo glances up at you briefly, taking in your bruised and cut face, most likely from running away, at your eyes filled with tears, and at the way your lips trembled.
his eyes flit away momentarily, not expecting you to take him by surprise. you look more roughed up than the other girls he’s seen so far, a certain heaviness in your stare.
“no.” he says bluntly and your gaze seems to waver just slightly. you gnaw on your lips, wondering how you could change your speech to change his mind.
“my father wants me to marry this man. he’s,” you shudder a little bit at the thought, “inhuman. if i don’t get away soon his men will find me. i,” your breathing shudders, “i can’t let them find me.”
gojo sighs deeply though his nose. so much for a relaxful evening.
his eyes search yours again, and he feels a different urgency that he’s never felt before. something that tells him that this is different, that if he doesn’t help you it’s going to be more than a simple punishment of your father taking away your allowance.
“where’s the rest of your gold?” he looks to your empty hands and then back up to your face.
you sputter, looking at him in shock.
“i-in my satchel,” you swallow thickly, “i left it near your horse.”
his mouth almost quirked upwards.
“where do you want to go?” he asks, watching as your posture straightens up a bit.
“to the shore,” you say, “i’ll get the soonest ship out.”
gojo stares at you and you stare at him. he surveys the pouch of gold, knowing it’s more than he’s ever made in months, something he desperately needs.
he rubs a hand across his face, squeezing his eyes shut as he thinks.
“when do you need to leave?” he asks although gojo already mows the wretched answer.
you look bashful as you duck your head down.
“n-now, if possible.”
gojo stares at your pouch a little bit longer. he downs the rest of his drink as he stands up, eyes raking over your features. if it weren’t for time and place he might’ve asked you to accompany him back to his room.
you stare back at him silently and he quirks his silver brow.
“what?” he grumbles, “get your things. we’re leaving.” a small smile breaks its way into your face as you collect your measly bag and your satchel of gold.
gojo knows he shouldn’t have said yes the moment he saw you grin, knowing that you weren’t an ordinary girl and this wasn’t an ordinary request. but he didn’t find it in himself to care.
at least for now, he didn’t.

White Horse - Chapter 5: July 2023
Pairing: Max Verstappen x Isabelle Leclerc (Original Character)
Summary:
Max Verstappen is a World Champion. Isabelle Leclerc is invisible.
She watched her family give up everything for Charles’ career—Arthur’s karting, their father’s savings, even her childhood horse. She understood. She never asked for more.
But Max does. He notices the things no one else does, listens when no one else will, and puts her first in ways she never imagined. With him, she isn’t an afterthought—she’s a choice. And for the first time, she realizes she doesn’t have to be invisible.
Warnings and Notes:
we have now moved on from Charles bashing to bashing his whole family, Discussions of the death of a parent, talk about loosing a childhood pet, toxic families...I think that's it?
As always big thanks to @llirawolf , who listens to me ramble

Text Conversation: Max Verstappen & Jos Verstappen
Max: Just a heads-up. I have a girlfriend.
Jos: …And you’re only telling me now?
Max: Yes.
Jos: How long?
Max: Four months.
Jos: Jesus, Max. Who is she?
Max: Isabelle.
Jos: Isabelle who?
Max: Isabelle Leclerc.
Jos:
Jos: LECLERC??
Max: Yes.
Jos: You’re dating Charles Leclerc’s sister?!
Max: Yes.
Jos: And you didn’t think to mention this sooner?
Max: Why would I?
Jos: Because she’s a Leclerc.
Max: And?
Jos: And that’s complicated.
Max: No, it’s really not.
Jos: Do her brothers know?
Max: No.
Jos: They’re going to lose their minds.
Max: Probably.
Jos: And you don’t care?
Max: Not really.
Jos: …You’re serious about her.
Max: I am.
Jos: Huh.
Max: That’s all you have to say?
Jos: What do you want me to say?
Max: I don’t know. I expected more yelling.
Jos: Would it change anything?
Max: No.
Jos: Exactly.
Jos: Don’t let her distract you.
Max: She’s not a distraction.
***
There was something to say about Isabelle Leclerc in her element.
High Heels clicking against the dark wood that now covered the floor of his penthouse (Walnut, as she had explained to him once, laid in a herringbone pattern), the cream dress she wore swishing around her calves, nearly the exact same colour as was on most of the walls (Max had realised that he was colour blind by the time she had shown him five different shades of cream, told him to pick one, and he had been certain that she was playing a practical joke on him because they all looked the exact same. Who knew that there was a different between Snow White, Skimmed Milk White, Shaded White, Strong White and New White?) and telling him all about the light fixtures that were now hung in the space.
She walked ahead of him, soft voiced, giving a quiet tour of the apartment she’s spent the last few months designing.
Max trailed behind her, hands in his pockets, watching her more than the rooms.
She was different here.
Not in a big, obvious way—Isabelle was always composed, always graceful—but here, in the space she had built from the ground up, she walked with ease. She fit into the light like she belonged to it. And the truth was, she did.
Isabelle stopped in the living room, where the late sunlight stretched across the wooden floors, and looked around.
“All that’s left is the furniture install,” she said, brushing a stray curl behind her ear. “It’ll be livable in a week or two.”
Max nodded, but didn’t answer right away.
Isabelle turned to him, mistaking his silence for something technical. “Unless there’s anything you want to change?”
He shook his head slowly. “No. It’s perfect.”
She gave him a small, pleased smile, and turned back to the windows. That’s when he said it.
“You should move in.”
She stilled.
“Belle.”
She looked back at him. Her smile didn’t vanish, but it wavered at the edges. “Max.”
“I’m serious.”
“I know,” she said softly. “That’s the problem.”
He stepped closer, gentle, careful—because he knew that look on her face. It was the look she wore whenever he offered her something she wasn’t sure she was allowed to accept.
“You made this place feel like home,” he said. “Everything in it has your fingerprints on it. You already live in it, in every way except physically.”
She didn’t answer. Just looked around again—at the walls she’d chosen, the soft gold hardware, the faint echo in the emptiness.
“I don’t want to take up too much space,” she said finally, so quiet it hurt.
Max frowned. “I want you to take up space.”
She hesitated. He knew she would. She always thought twice before stepping forward, especially when it came to being wanted. He also knew that hesitation wasn’t about him—not really. It was about every time she’d been treated like an afterthought.
So he took a step back, and pulled out his phone.
She blinked. “What are you—”
“Exhibit A,” he said, tapping open a photo and turning it toward her. “Jimmy. Sitting by the front door. Waiting for you after you left last week.”
Isabelle’s lips twitched. “That’s just because I give him treats.”
“Exhibit B,” Max continued, swiping again. “Sassy. Nesting on the blanket you left on the couch. Will not accept substitutes.”
“Max…”
“And Exhibit C,” he said, putting the phone back into his pocket and walking over to her, eyes soft but unwavering. “Me. Also useless without you.”
She bit her lip, trying to hold back a smile. “Are you emotionally blackmailing me with your cats?”
“Absolutely,” he said. “And if this doesn’t work, I will start sending photos of Sassy looking depressed. I will weaponize her pout.”
She laughed, head dropping slightly as she shook it. “You’re ridiculous.”
“I’m right,” he said. “And I’m not asking for something huge or scary. I just want you here. Where you already belong.”
She looked up at him, eyes glassy but smiling now.
“I’m scared,” she admitted.
“I know,” he said. “But I’ll be here. So will Jimmy. And Sassy. And we’ll all be very supportive and dramatic about it.”
She laughed, but the sound was splintering around the edges.
“Are you sure?” Isabelle asked him, her voice shaky.
Max reached for her hand, lacing their fingers together. “I’m sure,” he said firmly. “But if you’re not ready, that’s okay. I just—” He exhaled, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. “I just want you to know I want this. I want you.”
She stepped into his arms then, wrapping hers around his waist, burying her face in his chest. And when she whispered, “I think I want to say yes,” he smiled so wide it made his cheeks ache.
And if Jimmy and Sassy got extra treats that night when she came over?
Well. They’d earned it.

Text Conversation: Isabelle Leclerc & Emilie Abadie
Isabelle: Max asked me to move in.
Isabelle: Like. Officially. Into the penthouse. With him.
Isabelle: I said yes.
Emilie: YOU SAID YES??? YES TO WHAT??
Isabelle: Max. The penthouse. The cats. All of it.
Emilie: AAAAAAAAAAAA
Emilie: I knew it. I KNEW he was going to ask. He’s been treating you like a man who wants joint bills and matching key hooks.
Isabelle: He was so calm about it. Like he’d already pictured me there. Like it was obvious.
Emilie: Because it is obvious. You designed that penthouse and made it a love letter to your own taste. You’ve already moved in emotionally. Time to do it physically.
Emilie: So when do we pack?
Isabelle: That’s… actually why I texted. Can you come help? I need moral support.
Emilie: Say less. I’ll be there with wine.
Isabelle: …perfect. Also, if I start backpedaling emotionally, please just throw a throw pillow at me.
Emilie: I’m bringing the heaviest one. You’re doing this, Belle. I am SO proud of you.
Isabelle: I’m scared. Like… what if I mess it up?
Emilie: You won’t. You don’t know how to be anything but steady and brilliant and thoughtful.
Emilie: And Max is completely in love with you.
Emilie: You’re building a life with someone who sees you.
Emilie: Not someone who just remembers you when they need a reservation booked.
Isabelle: That’s a little mean.
Emilie: I am your best friend. I am required to be mean on your behalf.
Emilie: Max loves you. He sees you. You get to have a gorgeous man AND a rooftop pool. This is the dream.
Emilie: Let’s pack your life, Belle. You’re going home.
***
Emilie Abadie had always believed that homes told stories.
Not just the curated kind you shared in design portfolios, or the kind Instagram filtered into perfection. The real ones. The stories that lived in cluttered drawers, forgotten shelves, and the boxes you avoided packing because they were full of things you didn’t want to explain.
Isabelle’s apartment told a quiet, thoughtful story—soft linens, deep greens and warm woods, books arranged by mood, not color. A ceramic cup collection that made no cohesive sense except to her. It was lived-in, and loved, but also… careful.
Emilie knew what careful looked like.
She’d watched Isabelle perfect the art of it for years.
Which was why it didn’t surprise her when, halfway through packing up the hallway cupboards, she found it. The collection of objects that could only be described as “well-meaning psychological warfare,” wrapped in tissue paper and reluctant affection.
Highlights included:
A desk plaque that said Think Like a Leader.
A collection of self help books.
A coffee mug that read Worlds Okayest Sister.
A heavy coffee table book about golf.
A Bluetooth speaker shaped like a race car that lit up in flashing LED colors.
A number of scented candles, all of them unburnt. All of them with the kind of sickly sweet scents that Emilie knew Isabelle would get headaches from.
A bright red umbrella. Ferrari merchandise.
A black pantsuit Isabelle had never worn and would never wear—tags still attached.
A Diet cookbook. Which pretty much exclusively featured recipes that involved red meat, which Isabelle never ate anyway.
A pair of trainers in a garish neon yellow. Two full size too big.
It was Isabelle Leclerc’s version of a family scrapbook.
Emilie didn’t say anything at first. Just sat cross-legged on the floor and started lining them up like museum artifacts. Like evidence. And it made her blood boil.
“You kept all of them,” Emilie finally said, not bothering to mask her disgust.
Isabelle, predictably, didn’t flinch. Just looked over from where she was folding dish towels and sighed. “Please don’t start.”
Emilie snorted. “I’m not starting. I’m documenting.”
Isabelle walked over and perched on the armrest of the couch, staring at the collection like someone facing down a polite ghost.
“They’re not trying to hurt me,” she said, because of course she did.
“They’re not trying to see you either,” Emilie finally replied.
God, they had trained her to make excuses for them so well.
And that was the thing about Isabelle.
Isabelle defended them. Always. Even when they ignored her. Even when they handed her a gift that said, in a thousand unspoken ways, we don’t know who you are, so here’s who we’d rather you be.
Emilie loved Isabelle for her grace. Respected her for her patience.
But sometimes she wanted to scream on her behalf.
Because Isabelle Leclerc was brilliant. Quietly, devastatingly brilliant.
She could sketch out a space and see a life inside it before anyone else could.
She knew how to listen, how to hold space, how to fill a room without taking it over.
And yet, her family treated her like the placeholder sibling.
The support system.
The “how lucky we are to have you manage our chaos” afterthought.
Emilie wanted to shake her sometimes.
“You’re allowed to admit it hurts,” she said, softer than she meant to.
Isabelle just hummed noncomittingly.
Emilie had watched this play out for years: birthdays where Isabelle got gifts that felt like HR perks, dinners where she was interrupted or talked over, family holidays where she played event planner and emotional buffer and never, not once, was asked what she wanted for herself.
And then Max Verstappen had shown up.
At first, Emilie had been skeptical. Who wouldn’t be? He was Max—F1 World Champion, known for being blunt to the point of rudeness.
But then… she saw the way Isabelle softened around him.
Or no—that wasn’t it.
Isabelle didn’t soften with Max. She just… relaxed.
Like for the first time, she didn’t feel the need to justify her existence. Max didn’t question her decisions, didn’t treat her like she was delicate or invisible. He watched her. Not with confusion, but with certainty. Like he already knew she was extraordinary.
And when he asked her to move in, Emilie saw the panic. But underneath it? The wonder.
The possibility of being seen. Fully. Without apology.
So as Emilie watched her best friend now—holding that terrible mug with a rueful smile, defending the people who had handed her metaphorical shrink-wrap year after year—she didn’t say the things she wanted to.
She didn’t say, They don’t deserve you.
She didn’t say, They never tried hard enough.
She didn’t even say, You don’t have to keep forgiving them just because it’s easier than facing the truth.
Instead, she handed Isabelle a roll of bubble wrap and said, “I’m glad you’re moving.”
Isabelle didn’t answer, just smiled faintly and kept folding.
But Emilie meant it. Not just because the apartment was too small for her, or too carefully arranged around other people’s expectations—but because Max had asked her to move in.
And Max—despite being the chaos of F1 incarnate—saw her.
He wasn’t perfect—God, no—but he made space for her. Real space.
And for someone like Isabelle, who had spent her whole life tucking herself into corners… that mattered.
Max didn’t just love her.
He made her feel unchallenged in her existence. Like it was safe to take up room. To bring her books and her silly teacups and her weird throw pillows and be.
Emilie looked around the apartment one last time. The walls felt like they were exhaling. Letting go.
And when Isabelle asked, softly, “Do you think I’ll miss it?”, Emilie didn’t hesitate.
“No,” she said. “You’ll be too busy building something better.”
With someone better.
And that made all the difference.
***
Isabelle didn’t expect it to feel like this.
The shopping trip was meant to be practical.
They had all the essentials, really—Max’s penthouse was fully furnished, a curated blend of sleek lines and soft warmth, every finish and fixture carefully chosen. By her. For him.
And now… for them.
Because Max had asked her to move in. And she’d said yes.
And suddenly, the things she used to walk past in shops—the towels, the sheets, the coffee mugs—meant something entirely different.
They weren’t just purchases.
They were choices.
Isabelle ran her fingers over the display of Egyptian cotton sheets, crisp and cloud-white, then turned to a soft beige set that made her think of sleepy mornings and Max’s warm skin under her fingertips. She held up the tag, inspected the thread count, and caught herself smiling.
It felt a little silly, how giddy she was. How young she felt. Like a teenager dreaming of her first apartment. But this was different. This wasn’t fantasy.
This was real.
She was going to live with him. Not just crash on weekends, not just brush her teeth beside his before tiptoeing out the next morning.
She would be there when he got home.
She would be there when he left.
She would be home.
That thought made her pause.
The nerves came creeping in—quiet but insistent.
Would she take up too much space? Would she somehow get in the way? What if she over-decorated, what if she made it feel less like his place?
What if she loved it more than she was allowed to?
She picked up towels next—thick ones, luxurious ones. One set in cream, one in a dusky grey-blue. Neutral. Calming. Shared.
Would Max care?
Probably not. He’d happily dry off with whatever was closest.
But Isabelle cared.
Because this wasn’t just shopping.
This was settling.
Belonging.
She carried the towels and duvet set to the counter and added a couple of throw pillows she hadn’t planned to buy, and still did, before she went to her favourite antique store.
The store smelled like old books, wood polish, and dried lavender. Isabelle had always loved it—the quiet hush of it, the way everything creaked slightly underfoot, how time seemed to fold in around the edges. Nothing here rushed. Nothing here demanded.
Which was why she came.
When she needed to think.
When she needed to feel like she was choosing something entirely her own.
The console table caught her eye almost immediately. Oak, mid-century, solid but delicate somehow—slim legs, warm finish, brass drawer pulls that looked like little leaves. It wasn’t flashy, but it was hers. In the way certain pieces just are.
She stood in front of it for a while, her hand brushing over the edge.
They had space for it. Max had said she could pick what she wanted. He meant it. He’d said things like it’s your home too and whatever makes it feel like us, but Isabelle still felt the pull of hesitation in her chest. A quiet anxiety that came not from Max—but from all the years of not quite being allowed to take up space.
But she wanted this one.
This table. This little symbol of her taste, her joy, her voice.
She turned to the shopkeeper. “I’ll take it.”
The words were quiet, but steady.
A few minutes later, she stood at the counter, scribbling her name on the delivery slip. The butterflies were still there—flapping somewhere between her ribs—but so was something else. Something lighter.

Text Messages: Isabelle Leclerc & Max Verstappen
Isabelle: So hypothetically… if someone were to have bought a few things for the apartment while you were gone… would that be a problem?
Max: Define “a few things.”
Isabelle: …Towels. Throw pillows. A vintage console table I may have emotionally imprinted on.
Max: Was it whispering to you in the store?
Isabelle: It was practically begging to live in our hallway.
Max: Then obviously you had no choice.
Isabelle: Exactly. Also, I got a really pretty ceramic tray for the kitchen island. You know, for keys. Or snacks.
Isabelle: You’ll love it. It’s very “Max doesn’t know what it’s for but agrees it looks nice.”
Max: My favorite kind of décor. You’re making this apartment ours. I love it.
Isabelle: You can thank me by letting me put the throw pillows I just found on the couch.
Max: Are the throw pillows neutral or secretly pink?
Isabelle: Neutral… ish. There’s texture. You’ll survive. I debated between “soft beige” and “almond stone.” I chose “soft beige”.
Max: That’s not even a real difference.
Isabelle: Says the man who can feel the difference between tire compounds while going 300 km/h.
Max: Touché.
Max: Buy anything you want. Cover the couch in throw pillows. I miss you and imagining you decorating makes it feel closer to coming home.
Isabelle: That was dangerously sweet.
Max: I’m in a hotel room with bad lighting and no you. I’m weak.
Isabelle: I’ll save you a spot on the couch. And possibly hide the pillows until you’ve emotionally adjusted.
Max: Deal. Now send me a photo of that tray. I need to know what I’ve agreed to.

Max wasn’t sure when it hit him exactly—somewhere between unrolling a rug Isabelle had ordered and setting it gently under the coffee table, or watching her rearrange the spice drawer for the third time like she was memorizing her own existence.
She was here. She had moved in. But somehow… she hadn’t arrived yet.
He watched from the doorway as she unpacked a box labeled “Books + misc. (bedside stuff?)” in her neat handwriting. Her movements were precise. Careful. Like every item she placed might be quietly retracted if it took up too much space.
It wasn’t the way she moved in his life. With him, she was steady. Present. Laughing softly in the kitchen or curled up with Jimmy or Sassy, or leaning into his touch like she belonged there—which, to him, she did.
But this… this looked like someone trying not to leave a mark.
“Hey,” Max said softly, leaning in the doorway.
Isabelle glanced up. “Sorry. I’m taking over the dresser—if you want the top drawer back—”
“I don’t,” he said, crossing the room. “I want you to take all the drawers. And the shelves. And the bathroom counter.”
She looked at him warily, like she didn’t quite believe it.
Max reached for her hand. “You’re not a guest, Belle. You live here. I want to see your things around the place.”
Isabelle hesitated, fingers curling slightly in his. “I just… I’ve never had space before. Not really. And I don’t want to—”
“Take up too much room,” he finished for her. Gently.
She nodded, eyes down.
Max cupped her cheek, making her look up. “Take up all the room. Please. I’ve seen this place without you in it. It’s beautiful and cold.”
She huffed a soft laugh, like it surprised her. “I just didn’t want to… clutter it.”
“You’re not clutter,” he said firmly. “You’re the heart of it.”
He tugged her into his chest, arms wrapping around her tightly, and pressed a kiss to her hair.
“I want to trip over your shoes in the hallway,” he murmured. “I want your throw blankets on every surface. I want the picture of Blanche in the living room and that stuffed bunny from your childhood sitting next to my championship trophies.”
She buried her face in his chest, breathing in deeply. “You’re sure?”
“I’m certain,” Max whispered. “Make it yours. Make it ours.”
There was a long silence—warm, safe.
Then Isabelle pulled back slightly and smiled, small but real.
“Okay,” she said softly.
And just like that, the penthouse began to feel like home.
***
Isabelle hadn’t meant to hide it.
The roll-up keyboard wasn’t a secret. It was just… something small. Something she kept. Tucked away behind art books and a folded throw blanket. She’d placed it there quietly, the way she placed most of her things in this space—carefully. As if she were still trying to make sure she belonged.
So when she heard him call from the living room—“You didn’t tell me you had this”—her stomach fluttered.
Isabelle padded out of the bedroom, barefoot, hair still damp from the shower, the sleeves of Max’s hoodie falling over her hands. He was crouched near the bookshelf, curiosity written across his face as he unzipped the worn canvas pouch she hadn’t touched in months.
The roll up keyboard. That sad little silicone thing she’d used in university apartments and rental flats, when the idea of owning a real piano had felt laughable.
“Oh,” she said, voice faintly embarrassed. “Right. That thing.”
Max looked up at her, the faintest smile tugging at his mouth. “You actually play on this?”
“I did,” she admitted, sinking onto the rug beside him. Her legs folded under her easily, like muscle memory. “When there wasn’t room for anything else.”
There was a time when she’d pulled that keyboard out just to feel normal for five minutes. Between assignments, between shifts, between everyone forgetting she existed.
“You’re full of surprises,” Max murmured, watching her fingers hover above the keys, not quite touching them.
Isabelle shrugged, soft. “Not really. We had a piano growing up. At the country house.”
He glanced at her. “Do you write music too? Like Charles?”
She blinked, surprised that Max knew that…but then she remembered that her brother had actually released some of his compositions. Of course, Max would know. “Do you?” Max asked again, gentler this time. Not pushing—inviting.
She shook her head. “No. I was never interested in writing anything new. I liked learning. Things people said were difficult. Pieces with layers. There’s something comforting about playing something that already exists. Like translating someone else’s thoughts.” Her voice dropped slightly. “It felt less scary than putting mine out there.”
Max watched her like he always did—closely, quietly, like he knew what she wasn’t saying.
“So you were more of a storyteller than a composer.”
She blinked. That was… accurate.
“It felt like less pressure,” she said. “I didn’t have to be brilliant. I just had to be present.”
And that, she thought, was the kind of safety she rarely felt in her family. But somehow, she found it here. In this penthouse she helped design. In this quiet space with the man who saw her entirely.
Max turned to glance at the empty corner by the window, where soft light spilled from the sconces she’d chosen herself. “We should get you a real piano.”
She looked at him quickly. “Max…”
He didn’t flinch. “I’m serious. You shouldn’t have to unroll your music out of a drawer. Not here. Not anymore.”
Her throat tightened. Not just at the gesture, but at what it meant. What he understood without her having to explain it.
“I don’t even know if I’d still be good,” she said quietly.
“I don’t care,” Max replied. “I just want to hear you play.”
She leaned in and kissed him—slow, grateful, still in disbelief that someone wanted this much of her. When she pulled away, her voice was soft and full of warmth.
“What kind?”
“You pick,” he said simply. “I’ll just be the guy who listens.”

Text Conversation: Isabelle Leclerc & Max Verstappen
Isabelle: Serious question: Am I allowed to touch your trophies?
Max: …What?
Isabelle: Your F1 trophies. The actual ones. Like, are they sacred objects or can I move them?
Max: I’m sorry… what?
Isabelle: I want to move them into the built-in display we had made. The one with the custom lighting and matte black shelves you pretended not to care about but totally loved.
Max: I do love that wall.
Isabelle: It’s ready. And your trophies are going in. But I needed to check if you’re one of those people who’ll panic if I breathe too close to the 2021 Abu Dhabi trophy.
Max: What?? No. They’re trophies, not cursed artefacts.
Isabelle: You say that like it’s obvious.
Max: Why would it not be obvious??
Isabelle: Because Charles once lost his mind when I breathed too close to his karting trophies. Like—actual panic. Told me to “never touch the silver one from 2012,” because apparently my mortal fingerprints could destroy the legacy.
Isabelle: So I’m checking. Do I need gloves? Tongs? An FIA certification? Or can I just move them like a normal person?
Max: ...Your brother is completely insane.
Isabelle: So can I move your trophies? Dust them? Put them in the light-up cabinet I designed with my whole heart?
Max: You could build a pyramid out of them and I’d say thank you. They’re metal, not ancient relics. You don’t need ceremonial gloves.
Isabelle: Okay good. Because the lighting is chef’s kiss. I even have little engraved name plates.
Max: Touch whatever you want. Including me, when I get home.
Isabelle: Noted. Trophies first. You second.
Max: I’ll take it.
Max: Send me a photo when it’s done? I kind of love that you’re doing this. Feels like the trophies finally have a home too.
Isabelle: I’ll send you a whole slideshow. With dramatic lighting.

The flight back had been mostly quiet.
Well—quiet-ish. If you didn’t count the eighty-four times Lando had apologized for breaking Max’s trophy, or the part where he genuinely offered to ride in the luggage compartment as penance.
Now they were back in Monaco. The sun was doing that rich golden thing it did right before it sank into the sea, and Lando was trying very hard not to think about how he’d destroyed a priceless piece of Verstappen history.
Max had just unlocked the front door of his brand-new penthouse—the penthouse, the one Lando hadn’t seen yet—and turned back with a smirk.
“Come in,” Max said. “You can personally witness the replacement trophy making it home safely. Might help your guilt complex.”
Lando followed him in, dragging his emotional damage behind him like a suitcase. “Mate, I broke your winning trophy. They handed it to you and I just—smash. Right there on the podium.”
“Honestly, that thing fell apart like IKEA furniture,” Max said over his shoulder, already tossing his keys into a surprisingly stylish bowl. “That’s what they get for making a teapot the trophy.”
Lando barely heard him. His brain had short-circuited the moment he stepped into the apartment.
It was… insane.
Vaulted ceilings. Curved walls. Warm lighting that didn’t feel clinical or rich-guy sterile. It didn’t scream money, it whispered it, in like, six languages. And the view—the view—was like something out of a dream. Monaco glittered below them, golden and lazy, like it had been placed there just for Max.
Lando looked around the massive open space—sleek kitchen, moody wood floors, an actual staircase—and had to bite back a seriously?!
It looked like Max Verstappen lived in a Pinterest board for emotionally stable billionaires.
He flopped dramatically onto Max’s disturbingly soft couch. “Do you know how many people sent me the slow-mo of that moment? Like I wanted to be immortalized as the idiot who destroyed the winner’s trophy.”
Max snorted from the kitchen. “Gods, you’re worse than my girlfriend.”
Lando blinked. “Wait, what?”
Max poured two glasses of water like he hadn’t just dropped a bomb. “Belle used to be terrified of touching my trophies. Wouldn’t even go near them. Her brother’s obsessed with his, told her once that she could ‘smudge the history’ by getting fingerprints on them.”
Lando stared. “Your what?”
Max, with the calm of a man not fully aware of the chaos he was about to cause, strolled past him. “My girlfriend.”
Lando’s entire brain short-circuited. "SINCE WHEN DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND?"
Max shrugged. “About… four months?”
“FOUR MONTHS?” Lando shrieked, sitting up straight. “And I’m just now finding out?”
Max raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t think you needed to know.”
“I’m your friend, Max!”
And then, as if the universe were determined to finish Lando off, the front door opened.
Lando turned.
In stepped Isabelle Leclerc.
Isabelle Leclerc in all her soft, gently glory. Wearing sunglasses on her head, a bag slung over one shoulder, in high heels and a pink dress… her expression soft and content in that way people were when they walked into a space that felt like home.
“Hey,” she said, smiling at Max. “I missed you. Did the box with the spare trophy arrive?”
Max pointed to the dining table. “It’s right there. Lando helped escort it home personally.”
Lando’s soul evacuated his body.
He turned to Max.
Then to Isabelle.
Then back to Max.
In a hoarse, horrified whisper, he said, “That’s Charles’ sister.”
Max, the absolute psychopath, just nodded. “Yes.”
“You’re joking.”
“No.”
Lando turned to Isabelle. “And you’re okay with this?”
She smirked. “Clearly.”
Lando turned back to Max, voice rising. “And Charles knows?”
Max popped a chip into his mouth. “No.”
Lando nearly fell off the couch. “HE DOESN’T KNOW?”
“We’re keeping it private,” Isabelle said, casually crossing her arms like she wasn’t detonating Lando’s entire worldview.
Lando laughed. Or maybe screamed. Or both. “You’re keeping it private?” He pointed at Max. “Does Victoria know?”
Max nodded. “Yes.”
“Sophie?”
“Yep.”
“Jos?”
“Yes.”
Lando stared, hands flailing. “So just to confirm—everyone in your family knows—”
“Right.”
“—and none of hers knows?”
“Correct.”
Lando dragged a hand down his face. “Okay. Okay, cool. Cool cool cool. So when Charles finds out, do you want your funeral to be in the Netherlands or Monaco?”
Max rolled his eyes. “Charles isn’t going to kill me.”
“YES HE IS!” Lando turned to Isabelle. “He’s going to kill him!”
Isabelle just shrugged. “I’ll deal with him.”
Lando made a strangled noise. “You’ll deal with him? This is the worst idea Max has ever had!”
Max just grinned, maddeningly pleased with himself. “Is it?”
“Yes!” Lando pointed at him. “And I want no part in it! I’m officially removing myself from this entire situation!”
“Noted.”
“I’m serious, Max. When Charles comes at you with, like, a Ferrari spoiler, I was never here.”
Max smirked and held up his hands. “Understood.”
And yet somehow, Lando knew that when it all inevitably exploded… he’d still end up involved.
Because, apparently, this was his life now.
***
Max had survived media scrums, championship-deciding races, and Jos Verstappen's silence-with-a-side-of-glare disapproval—but nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to waiting for Emilie to step foot into the penthouse.
Isabelle’s Emilie.
The best friend. The sister-by-choice. The one person Isabelle never sugarcoated anything for. The one who’d once, according to Isabelle herself, told a former boyfriend, “I hope you fall down an escalator and land on your ego.”
Max was… a little afraid.
He wasn’t nervous often. His job didn’t allow for it. But now, standing in his own kitchen, hands resting on the marble countertop Isabelle had picked out, he was nervous.
Because Emilie was the kind of person who saw things clearly—and said them out loud. And Max wasn’t stupid. He knew that Isabelle’s past was littered with people who hadn’t protected her the way she deserved. Especially her family. Especially the ones who should have known better.
So Emilie was the gatekeeper.
And Max? He was the boy who had fallen in love with the girl she protected.
The intercom buzzed. Isabelle, barefoot and glowing, went to let her in.
Max exhaled, rolled his shoulders once, and silently promised the cats not to make this weird.
When the door opened, Emilie stepped in with a tote bag on one arm and sunglasses perched on her head like she belonged on the cover of “Best Friend With a Sharp Tongue Monthly.”
“Hi,” she said to Max, all easy charm and narrowed eyes.
“Hi,” he replied, with what he hoped was equal ease but probably came off a little like please don’t hate me.
Emilie looked around slowly. Took in the space. The light. The symmetry. The faint scent of lemon and clean wood. Then: “You let her pick the rug?”
Max blinked. “I mean… yes?”
Emilie turned to Isabelle. “He’s either deeply in love with you or very smart.”
Isabelle grinned. “Both.”
Max cleared his throat. “Can I get you something to drink?”
Emilie studied him for a beat. “Coffee?”
“Coming right up.”
He moved toward the machine, listening as Isabelle showed her around—explaining where things were, which parts of the design had been last-minute additions, what Max had insisted on and what she had picked out.
Max made her coffee exactly the way Isabelle had once told him Emilie liked it—strong, touch of oat milk, pinch of cinnamon—and slid it across the island as Emilie wandered in, Sassy having demanded Isabelle’s attention like she was prone to be doing.
Emilie took it, sipped, and raised her eyebrows. “Alright. You pass step one.”
“There are steps?” Max asked, mouth twitching.
“Oh, so many,” Emilie said. “But relax. You’re already ahead. You didn’t try to impress me with vintage wine or your Rolex.”
“I was going to offer cookies,” he admitted.
“Smart man.”
She took another slow sip, then set the mug down.
“Max,” she said, and her tone shifted—less playful now, more real. “You know she’s never done this before, right? Never let someone be her safe place. Never believed she could build something and live inside it, too.”
“I know,” Max said quietly.
Emilie studied him a moment longer.
“I don’t care that you’re a world champion,” she said. “I care that when she comes home, she gets to rest.”
Max nodded. “She does. That’s all I want. I don’t need her to fit into anything. I just want her to feel like she doesn’t have to be anything more than she is.”
Emilie stared at him.
Then, finally, she smiled. “You’re not what I expected.”
“Better or worse?”
“Infinitely better,” she said. “But if you screw this up, I will make you regret it in very creative ways.”
Max raised a hand. “Understood.”
Isabelle returned to the kitchen then, breezy and radiant, unaware that Emilie had just conducted an emotional background check in under five minutes.
“I like him,” Emilie said, already helping herself to a cookie.
“Thank God,” Isabelle murmured, leaning into Max with a smile.
And Max—well, Max just exhaled for the first time in twenty minutes. Because if he had Emilie’s approval?
That meant he was doing something right.
Which mattered.
Because Isabelle?
She was everything worth getting right.

Text Messages: Max Verstappen & Lando Norris
Max: Need vacation recommendations.
Lando: Oh no.
Max: What?
Lando: This is about her, isn’t it?
Max: …So do you have suggestions or not?
Lando: I knew it.
Lando: Max, I know you and Isabelle are a thing.
Lando: But Charles doesn’t.
Lando: And I would like to stay alive.
Max: This has nothing to do with Charles.
Lando: It has everything to do with Charles.
Max: No, it has everything to do with Isabelle.
Lando: SAME THING.
Lando: I don’t want to know. I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to be involved.
Max: I’m literally just asking for vacation recommendations.
Lando: And yet somehow, I will still end up suffering because of this.
Max: Lando.
Lando: FINE. Seychelles.
Max: That was fast.
Lando: Because I don’t want to talk about this any longer than I have to.
Lando: Seychelles is private, expensive, beautiful. Go there.
Max: Thanks.
Lando: Do not tell me anything else. I don’t want to know.
Max: Got it.
Lando: Seriously.
Max: Okay.
Lando: Like, if Charles finds out and demands to know what I knew—
Max: Then you knew nothing.
Lando: Exactly.
Max: Thanks, Lando.
Lando: I hate you.

Chat:
WAIT.
NEW ROOM??
WHERE TF IS HE
TROPHY WALL HELLO???
Bro has a museum behind him
That’s not the old sim room 😭
Chris Lulham: “Hold on, what is that behind you??”
Gianni Vecchio: “Is that a whole new background?? Did you move? Why do you look like you're in an actual Formula 1 museum?”
Luke Crane: “That is not the same white wall with the sad curtain.”
Chris: “Is that a trophy wall?? With lights?? WHY IS IT GLOWING.”
Gianni: “That’s a custom setup. Someone made that. You did not install LED strips yourself, Max.”
Max: glances around “Oh, yeah. I moved. Still in Monaco.”
Chris: “Wait, what?! Since when?”
Max: “Few weeks ago.” shrugs
Chat:
🚨 BREAKING NEWS: MAX VERSTAPPEN MOVED AND DIDN’T TELL US 🚨
Max casually dropping life updates like he’s talking about the weather.
Bro didn’t even hint at it???
NEW SIM ROOM???
OH MY GOD THE MONACO TROPHY IS ON A LITTLE TURNTABLE
Luke Crane: "Hold on, hold on—are we just glossing over this? You moved and didn’t tell us?"
Max: laughs "I don’t tell you guys everything."
Luke Crane: "Clearly."
Chris: "Okay, but like… why?"
Max: shrugs again "Just wanted a change."
Chat:
He’s so unserious about major life events.
“Just wanted a change” bro you’re in a whole new house.
Luke Crane: “Alright, when’s the housewarming party?"
Max: "Never."
Chris: "Figured."
Chat:
That was the fastest rejection ever.
LMAOO Max really said NOPE.
Someone check the Monaco real estate listings 😭😭😭
Chris: "Okay, but real question—do we at least get a tour?"
Max: “Hold on, check this out.”
[Max adjusts his camera slightly, reaching off-screen.]
[Trophy wall lighting shifts smoothly from warm white to deep racing red.]
Enzo Bonito: NO WAY.
Luke Bennett: Did you just change the color?
Max: It’s all programmed. RGB control. Motion sensors too. They dim when I leave the room.
Gianni: That’s actually ridiculous.
Max (grinning): Also acoustic panels. So no echo. And the mic quality’s better now too—right?
Luke Bennett: Sounds dangerously smooth, yeah. Honestly, this is a Bond villain layer disguised as a sim room.
Chat:
max literally lives in a batcave
this is a SIM LAIR
rich people don’t build houses they build race temples
bro’s sim room has mood lighting and better HVAC than my entire apartment
WHY DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A NETFLIX SET
Luke Bennett: Man, I feel like I should be wearing a tuxedo just to race you now.
Max (grinning): Anyway. Let’s race.
Chris: If my wheel breaks mid-race, I’m blaming this emotional damage.
Gianni: If I lose tonight, it’s because your RGB lighting intimidated me.

Isabelle always arrived on time for family dinner. With dessert, of course.
She always brought something. Homemade or picked up from her favorite patisserie. No one commented on it, but the plate was always clean by the end of the night.
Dinner was in full swing now, a chaotic medley of pasta, overlapping voices, and half-remembered updates from everyone’s life—except hers.
“So I told the media team we should change the graphic for next week,” Charles was saying, gesturing with his fork. “And they acted like I was speaking a different language.”
“Maybe they were,” Arthur said, grinning. “You barely speak one as it is.”
Charles rolled his eyes. “And you’re in F2, so calm down.”
“I’m in F2, not in last,” Arthur shot back.
“Boys,” Pascale said in a long-suffering tone. “Please. Eat.”
Isabelle had barely spoken since they sat down.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to contribute—she just never quite found the opening. Every time she tried, someone else jumped in louder, faster. She was used to it. It had been this way for most of her life.
Still, she tried.
“Oh,” she said lightly, when the conversation briefly turned toward travel. “I’ll be in Nice next week for a client install. Final stages of a boutique I’ve been working on for a few months.”
Charles barely looked up from his glass. “Interior stuff again?”
Isabelle smiled tightly. “Yes. It’s the final phase.”
“What are you installing, like… pillows?” Arthur asked, half-joking, half-serious.
“Furniture. Lighting. Custom cabinetry. Architectural finishes,” she replied, ticking them off calmly. “You know. The usual.”
“Right, right,” Lorenzo said, tone absent. “Pinterest, but expensive.”
Isabelle bit her tongue.
Hard.
She smiled again—her polite, polished, professional smile—and took a sip of her wine to swallow down everything she wanted to say.
No one asked more about the project. The conversation veered into Charles’ media schedule for the next race. No one circled back to Isabelle.
They never did.
Until, several minutes later, Arthur mentioned Max.
“Did you know he just finished renovating his place in Monaco?” Arthur said, gesturing with his fork. “Fully redone. It’s all over the sim racing forums—some insane setup.”
“Oh, yeah,” Charles added. “I saw it. Trophy wall, hidden screens, mood lighting. So over the top.”
“It’s not over the top,” Isabelle said, casually.
They all turned.
“I designed it.”
Silence. Actual silence.
Isabelle set down her fork and took another sip of wine, just to give them a moment to catch up.
Charles blinked. “You—what?”
“I was the lead interior architect on Max Verstappen’s penthouse,” she said, voice steady. “From layout to lighting to final finishes.”
Arthur’s mouth opened and closed like a fish. “Seriously?”
“Yes.”
Lorenzo frowned. “Like… the Max Verstappen?”
“No, Lorenzo, the other one,” Isabelle deadpanned.
Pascale blinked. “Well. That’s… quite something.”
“It was,” Isabelle said mildly. “A lot of work. High standards. Very involved client.”
…not really, but nobody needed to know that. Mostly Max had just let her do whatever she wanted.
“You never said anything,” Charles muttered, confused.
“You never asked,” she said, sweetly. “You thought I was just picking out pillows.”
No one had an answer for that.
And Isabelle didn’t try to change the topic. instead she just stood up, starting to clean up plates— graceful as ever.
“I’ll help clean,” she said, voice still perfectly polite. And then, with a final smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes, she added, “Let me know if you ever want help picking out throw pillows, though. I’m very good at that.”
***
The front door opened with a soft click, followed by the unmistakable rustle of paper shopping bags and the sound of someone toeing off their shoes with slightly more force than necessary.
Max looked up from the couch, one arm draped around Jimmy, who had fully claimed the throw blanket. “You’re back late.”
Isabelle stepped inside, arms full of muted-toned bags from an upscale decor shop near the port. She dropped them on the kitchen island with a sigh that sounded far too heavy for a casual stroll home.
“I stopped at—” she started, then waved vaguely at the bags. “—somewhere.”
Max raised an eyebrow. “Shopping?”
“Frustration shopping,” she muttered, pulling off her coat and hanging it neatly by the door.
He got up slowly, padding barefoot across the floor to meet her. “What happened?”
She didn’t answer right away. Instead, she unpacked …something that looked like a seashell and a pretzel had a baby, a geometric candleholder she didn’t need, and a cushion cover in a color Max was pretty sure they used in the guest room.
“They laughed at my job,” she said finally, quiet but steady. “Again.”
Max’s jaw tightened. “What did they say?”
Isabelle didn’t look at him. She kept unpacking. “Arthur made a joke about installing pillows. Lorenzo called it Pinterest, but expensive.”
He let the silence hang, waiting.
“And then I told them,” she said, meeting his gaze now. “About the penthouse. The sim room. The trophy wall. All of it.”
Max stepped closer, brushing his fingers lightly against her hand. “Good.”
“I wasn’t going to,” she admitted, her voice dipping. “I didn’t want it to sound like name-dropping. But I just—snapped. I was so tired of biting my tongue.”
“You don’t have to bite your tongue,” Max said, his voice low and firm. “Not with them. Not with anyone.”
She looked up at him, eyes a little glossy but not crying. Not yet.
“I built something for you,” she said. “Something real. And they still treat me like I’m playing house with fabric swatches.”
Max reached behind her and gently tugged her into his chest, wrapping both arms around her and pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
“They can’t see it because they don’t want to,” he murmured. “But I see you. Every detail, every decision, every part of this place that feels like home—you did that.”
Isabelle closed her eyes and let herself lean into him.
The silence was softer now. Safer.
After a beat, Max pulled back just enough to glance at the bags.
“...Please tell me that weird seashell thing isn’t going in the sim room.”
Isabelle laughed, a real one this time, even as she sniffled. “No promises.”

Lando Norris: Okay, I’m in. Finally.
Max Fewtrell: Took you long enough. What’d you do, build a new rig?
Lando: Nah, I’m not Max Verstappen. I don’t have a personalised sim fortress with like… ambient lighting and a trophy shrine.
Max F: Bro, that room is insane. I saw a clip on TikTok, and I swear it looked like he was about to launch a space shuttle.
Lando : That’s because Isabelle did it.
Max F: …Isabelle who?
Lando: Isabelle Leclerc.
Max F (pauses): …As in… Charles Leclerc’s sister?
Lando: Mhm.
Chat:
LANDO WHAT
BACK UP
ISABELLE LECLERC DESIGNED MAX’S SIM ROOM???
Max F: Wait wait wait hold on. Max Verstappen’s sim room was designed by Isabelle Leclerc?
Lando: Yep.
Max F: Okay but like—can she do my room?
Lando: Have you got Max Verstappen money, mate?
Max F: …Right. So that’s a no.
Lando: That’s a hard no. She’s not out here doing LED lighting schemes for the boys on a Logitech G29.
Max F: Ouch. No, but seriously, that room looks like a race car museum had a baby with an interior design Pinterest board.
Lando: It’s ridiculous. He’s got like… hidden drawers, ambient color modes for quali, race, cooldown—mood lighting for his championship mood swings.
Max F: You’re telling me my man gets P1 and then sets the room to gold sparkle mode?
Lando: Wouldn’t even be surprised.
Max F: And Isabelle did all that?
Lando: Yeah. Interior architect. Like… architectural degree, portfolio, the works.
Max F: I’m gonna DM her my IKEA shopping list and see what happens.
Lando: All she’ll say is “please never contact me again.”
Max F: Worth it.
Chat:
“do you have max verstappen money” LMAO
lando fully spilling the tea again i love him
ISABELLE IS THE INTERIOR ARCHITECT???
makes so much sense now why it has taste
Max F: This stream just turned into an episode of MTV Cribs: F1 Edition and I’m emotionally unprepared.
Lando: You and me both, mate.

The rooftop club was loud—bass pulsing through glass walls, drinks flowing freely, and the scent of something expensive lingering in the air. Monaco glittered below, and the whole world above felt like it had hit pause: one final blowout before the second half, before the summer break.
Charles had been halfway through a conversation with Pierre when he heard it—faint, over the music, slipping in between thudding bass and the occasional shout of laughter.
French.
With a Monegasque accent.
He turned instinctively, blinking through the crowd.
Who the hell—
It was Max.
Max Verstappen.
Speaking fluent French.
Not just French—Monegasque-accented French. Clean. Polished. Lightly clipped consonants in the way Charles had grown up hearing around every market stall and café table. Max’s cadence had shifted too—not quite native, but not clumsy either.
Max was leaning slightly over the bar, talking to a bartender Charles recognized. His posture was relaxed, like it was normal. Like he’d done this a hundred times. His accent wasn’t perfect, but it was close—soft R’s, local cadence, the kind that didn’t come from a Duolingo app.
Charles couldn’t move. Couldn’t look away.
He didn’t even know Max spoke French.
Pierre elbowed him, confused. “What?”
Charles shook his head, blinking. “Is he speaking French?”
Pierre followed his gaze, did a double take, then frowned. “Oh. Huh.”
“Where the hell did he learn that?” Charles muttered.
“Don’t look at me,” Pierre said. “Last I checked he couldn’t even pronounce ‘quiche’ properly.”
Lando strolled up then, already laughing at something Oscar had said. “What’s going on?”
“Max is speaking French,” Charles said, still stunned.
Lando blinked. “Oh. Yeah, he does that now.”
“What do you mean now?”
Lando shrugged like it was obvious. “He’s been learning. Says it’s good for Monaco. And, you know with…” He trailed off.
Charles narrowed his eyes. “And?”
Lando opened his mouth to respond and then suddenly blanched. “Nothing! Just…I need another drink!” and off he went. Charles stared after him.
What was that about now?
Charles frowned deeper, watching Max accept his drink with a quiet merci, bonne soirée like it wasn’t the most confusing thing Charles had witnessed all summer.
It wasn’t just the French.
It was the accent. The ease.
Charles couldn’t figure out what bothered him more—that Max was speaking French… or that he was doing it like a local.
And somewhere in the back of his head, a quiet, suspicious thought began to form:
Why would Max Verstappen bother learning Monegasque-accented French?

can you write reader x paige where it’s the first time reader has used strap? p and r have been dating a while but have never used it. one day paige brings it out and reader tells her she’s never done it before and p takes really good care of her /being really gentle and sweet ?? thank you!
new with you

SYNOPSIS: in an intimate and tender moment, paige surprises you with a strap she’s been thinking about using, offering it as something new to explore together—not out of need, but trust. nervous but curious, you agree. the experience is slow, gentle, and full of care, with paige guiding you patiently and lovingly. afterward, wrapped in each other’s arms, you reflect on how safe and seen you feel. it’s not just about sex—it’s about growing together, sharing vulnerability, and choosing each other fully.
WARNINGS: smut — mdni, fluff, use of strap-on (r!receiving), intimacy, pet names (mama, baby), soft!paige, lowercase intended.
WORD COUNT: 1.5k info. masterlist. taglist.
the box is small. unassuming. resting casually in paige’s lap like it belongs there.
you hadn’t noticed her pull it out from under the bed. you were too busy folding her sweatshirt neatly over the back of a chair, too distracted by the faint sound of bon iver playing through her speaker, the kind of music that makes everything feel slower, closer, quieter.
now, the air is heavy.
she doesn’t say anything at first—just looks at you from where she sits on the bed, legs folded under her, hands brushing the cardboard like she’s nervous.
you raise a brow, unsure. “what’s that?”
her lips twitch into a smile, sheepish and a little crooked. “something i’ve been thinking about for a while.”
she opens the box slowly, carefully, like she’s giving you time to say no. inside, you see it—sleek, black, and neatly folded. not intimidating, not even loud, but it still makes your heart skip because of what it means.
a strap.
you blink at her. she watches your reaction like she’s reading every twitch in your face. “you okay?”
“i’ve never…” you pause. “i’ve never done that before.”
there’s a beat of silence. paige tilts her head, her hand brushing over the edge of the box.
“yeah?” she says gently. “that’s okay.”
you chew your bottom lip, fingers fiddling with the hem of your oversized shirt—hers, really. “i mean, we’ve never needed it. you always make me feel good, it’s not like—”
“i know,” she cuts in softly. “this isn’t because something’s missing. i just thought… it could be something new. something we try together. if you want.”
you look at her then, really look—her calm eyes, her steady hands, the soft patience in her voice. she’s not pushing. she’s not asking because she needs it. she’s asking because she wants to share something with you.
and god, the trust in that.
your voice is quieter when you speak again. “what if i don’t know what i’m doing?”
paige’s smile is so tender you could cry. she reaches for you, tugging you gently down onto the bed beside her. “then i’ll take care of you.”
“you always say that.”
“because i mean it every time.”
you laugh softly, nerves knotting in your stomach, but not in a bad way. you let yourself melt into her side, feeling the warmth of her palm against your thigh.
“i want to try,” you murmur.
paige presses a kiss to your temple. “yeah?”
“yeah.”
and when she looks at you again, it’s like she’s seeing something sacred. not just want—but care, and love, and something deeper than both.
she kisses you once, then twice, her hands steady as they cup your jaw. “we’ll go slow,” she promises. “you’ll tell me everything you feel, okay?”
you nod, the nerves still fluttering, but your heart steady under her voice.
“okay.”
⸻
it started slow. gentle. measured in the way paige always is when it matters most.
she kissed you with intention—tender, warm, like she meant it. and she did. she always does.
she eased you onto your back, settling above you as her lips deepened the kiss. nothing rushed. nothing rough. just the soft, steady rhythm of care in every touch.
her fingers slipped beneath the hem of your t-shirt, the contrast of her cool skin meeting your warmth making you shiver just slightly. she kissed your cheek, then the curve of your jaw, her hands gliding over your stomach as she gently lifted your shirt up and over your head, tossing it behind her.
“you’re so pretty,” she murmured, almost like a secret, her smile blooming sweetly as her eyes roamed over you.
and you smiled back, your heart swelling with all the quiet love you felt for the girl above you.
she kissed your neck, soft and slow, before her hands moved lower, tugging down the waistband of your shorts and underwear in one motion. she paused.
“are you sure?” she whispered, her gaze locked on yours.
you nodded, fingers brushing her cheek. “yeah. i’m ready.”
paige nodded once, almost like a promise, before turning to the sleek black box resting on the nightstand. she slipped the harness around her hips, adjusting the straps until it fit just right. there was nothing hurried about her movements—just quiet focus, steady hands.
she knelt between your thighs and gently guided your legs upward, her palms caressing your skin as she massaged along your calves and thighs. her lips pressed a soft kiss to your knee, her right hand finding yours and lacing your fingers together.
then slowly—so slowly—she eased the strap inside you. you gasped at the stretch, your body tensing on instinct. paige stilled.
“shh, it’s okay, baby,” she cooed, brushing her thumb over your knuckles. “i’ll wait. just breathe for me.”
you did. and when you nodded, giving her the okay, she began to move—pulling back gently, then sliding in again with the same soft, deliberate care.
your quiet moan met her ears, and she smiled, her voice a warm whisper. “there you go, mama.”
her pace stayed steady—deep, but tender. every movement was filled with purpose. she watched your face, studying every shift in your expression: the way your brows knit, the way your mouth parted, how your eyes shimmered as you looked up at her, trusting her completely.
you were beautiful. so painfully beautiful.
she held your hand the whole time, her thumb sweeping gently over your skin, grounding you. her thrusts weren’t fast, but they carried depth—reverent and steady, like she was learning you, honoring every inch of what you were willing to give.
“paige…” you whimpered, squeezing her hand.
“yeah, baby?” she murmured, leaning down to kiss your cheek, her breath brushing your skin.
“fuck—it feels so good…”
her smile was soft, sweet. “good. didn’t wanna hurt you, mama.”
she moved just a little deeper, a little more sure, the bed creaking faintly beneath you both. the moment wrapped around you, heavy with intimacy.
“paige—i think i’m gonna come,” you breathed, your voice shaking with every exhale.
her pace picked up just slightly, her hand slipping between your legs to draw slow, delicate circles over your clit. her lips kissed whatever part of you they could reach—your cheek, your nose, the corner of your mouth.
“come for me, baby…” she whispered.
and you did. your back arched, your jaw went slack, and her name spilled from your lips in a breathless, trembling moan. the warmth washed over you slowly, like honey spreading under your skin.
she held you through it, whispering praises in your ear.
“yeah… that’s it,” she soothed, her hand rubbing over your thigh. “did so good for me, baby…”
she slowed down gradually, finally stilling. her eyes searched your face, and her smile softened at the faint grin playing on your lips.
“was that okay?” she asked quietly. “i wasn’t too much, right?”
“no,” you said instantly, squeezing her hand. “that was… really good, paige.”
she leaned down, kissing you again. not to start something new—but just to stay close. just because she could.
⸻
you don’t know how long you’ve been there—skin to skin, limbs tangled, the sheets barely covering either of you. the world feels distant. muted. like it’s just the two of you suspended in something soft and warm and completely quiet.
your body still aches, but it’s the good kind. not soreness, exactly—just the echo of something slow and deep that still hasn’t left you.
you shift a little, cheek pressed to her chest, listening to the steady beat of her heart. one of her hands rests low on your back, her thumb moving in small, absent-minded circles.
“you okay?” she asks, her voice rough with sleep.
you nod, lips brushing her collarbone. “yeah.”
she hums, and for a while, that’s all there is. the sound of her breathing. the faint rustle of sheets when you breathe too deep. nothing needs to be said, but you speak anyway.
“i didn’t think i’d be ready,” you whisper. “not for that.”
“i know,” she murmurs. “you didn’t have to be.”
you close your eyes, let yourself be held. “i think i wanted to be. for you.”
paige’s arm tightens around you a little. not possessive. just close. grounding. “you don’t owe me anything, you know.”
“i know.” a pause. “but i still wanted to.”
she exhales slowly, nose brushing your hairline. “thank you for trusting me.”
you smile, a little crooked. “thank you for being so patient.”
her hand slips down to your hip, fingers splayed wide like she’s holding something fragile. like she knows how much you gave her, and she’s not about to drop it.
“you made me feel safe,” you say, quieter this time. like it’s the real thing you’ve been meaning to say.
she doesn’t respond right away. just kisses the top of your head and lets the silence hold it.
it’s not some dramatic moment. no sweeping declarations or promises whispered in the dark. it’s just two people, lying close, learning each other in the quiet aftermath of something new.
and maybe that’s enough. maybe that’s everything.

Self Care - Jack Abbot x Resident!Reader
Summary: Jack’s new girlfriend takes self care really seriously given the line of work they’re in. He starts to observe these habits and some of them rub off on him.
Tags: Super fluffy, no use of y/n, implied age gap, suggested sexual activity, no real smut just Jack feeling you up a little, beekeeper!Jack
Author’s Note: Why am I obsessed with beekeeper!jack. There may be more where this came from because I had so much fun with this one– perhaps Jack and reader gardening (wink wink) while in their garden? Leads to sweet and slow stoned sex? Let me know what you think or if you have any requests! I’m always looking for more ideas.
Also, fill out this google form if you'd like to be added to my taglist :)
You do your little stretching routine after you wake up and you ask him if he wants to join you. He gives it a try, reluctantly at first. Then he starts to realize how good it makes him feel and does it with you every time.
“What's this pep in your step you got going on here, brother?” Robby notices one day at hand-off. “Something to do with your favorite resident? Or should I say…new lady friend,” he does a little jazz hands.
“I regret ever telling you about us,” Jack rolls his eyes at lady friend. “But yeah, actually. She’s got me stretching when we wake up,” he explains.
“Ah. She’s got you whipped is what you mean.”
Jack chuckles under his breath. “Fuck off, stretching is good for you. And being whipped isn’t so bad either.” ____
You have a little garden that you tend to in the morning as the sun’s still rising right when you get off shift. It's cathartic, to take care of something that can't puke or bleed on you. Can’t punch you in the face.
Both you and Jack had worked last night and it was a tough one. One of those nights where it felt like you lost more than you saved. You asked Jack to come back to your place after the shift ended, just wanting to be near him after your hell of a day.
It was still early in your relationship, you had only spent the night at Jack’s place. This was his first time coming to stay at yours.
You could tell he was so exhausted that you offered to drive home and he eventually accepted. He sat in the passenger seat of his Tacoma with his eyes closed as you drove, envisioning a shower, you looking soft in a ratty old t-shirt, and eating take out on the couch before going to sleep.
Instead, after you made two mugs of tea and set one before him on the coffee table, you headed to the backyard, slipping through the sliding glass door with a quiet “be right back, have to take care of some stuff real quick.”
After you’re gone more than 10 minutes and he almost dozed off twice, he started to wonder what this stuff was. He peeks out the glass door, seeing you knelt down at the edge of a garden bed peeling weeds out of the ground around your plants. The garden hose was on, filling up a big watering can to your left.
He comes to stand next to your kneeling form, placing a tender hand on the crown of your head and lightly running his fingers through your hair. “What are you doing, baby?”
“Checking on the plants. It helps me clear my mind from the day.” You smile softly up at him, see his free hand rub at his weary eyes. “Why don’t you go hop in the shower, I’ll be right in," you promise. He nods, turns to head back inside.
He couldn’t believe you wanted to be pulling weeds and lugging watering cans after a shift. But when you trailed in a few minutes later, joining him under the spray of the water, he could see the way your shoulders were looser. You were more peaceful, at ease. It made him feel more calm too, just knowing you felt a little bit better.
He started lugging bags of soil for you the following mornings. Dug up trenches to lay a new irrigation system for the crops. This time of spring brought so many birds tweeting around in the morning air, the perfect sound track to your calming moments together in the garden.
It was a peaceful endeavor, one Jack never thought he would find himself doing but turns out he absolutely loves it. After you tell him about the benefits of pollinators he really wants to start keeping bees (Jack Abbot is beekeeping age). He does all this research about it to make sure he doesn’t fuck with the bees, wants to do it right. Gets the whole mesh suit which you can't stop laughing at the first time he puts it on. Names his hive Beetopia. He's serious about these bees and you find it so endearing. You love that he's meshing into your life like this, making his own niche in something you both do together.
Sometimes when there isn’t much to be done he’ll make breakfast while you tend to the garden. He will always try to utilize the fruits and vegetables you grow as well as his self-harvested honey whenever he can. You eat it out on the patio, admiring the work the two of you have done. Your own little paradise. ____
Out of all the self care tactics that you have brought into his life, the bubble bath is definitely one of his sleeper favorites. His house had a huge bathtub in it that he never once used. One of the first times you stayed over, you went to use the bathroom before going to bed. His eyes were already closed when he heard you squeal in the en suite attached to his room.
“How did you not tell me about this!” you yelled out to him.
“What, the bathroom?” he responded half asleep and confused. You came back into the room and jumped into the bed next to him, resting your chin on his chest. He peeked his eyes open as he rubbed up and down your back.
“No! That massive tub, genius!” He was surprised. Hadn’t thought once about that thing since he moved in.
“You like it?”
“I don't like it, Jack. I love it. Baths are so soothing and rejuvenating. I always feel like a newborn baby when I get out of the bath. And I don't have a tub at my place.”
“You’re welcome to use it anytime you want, honey.” He shifted you to your side, cuddling into you and kissing your cheek.
“You’re too good to me. And as a reward I’m making you get in there with me.” he lets out a breath of a laugh as he drifts off to sleep with you in his arms. ___
You both had the next day off, for once. So there was no time like the present to christen Jack’s bathtub. He was nervous about getting in, not being able to wear his prosthetic to keep him stable, but you got in first and held onto him tight as he stepped over the edge and eased himself down into the water. You settled in front of him, letting out a breath as you melted back into him.
You thought you liked baths already, but this was pure bliss. His strong body against you, your breaths synching up. He washed your hair and you washed his. The warm water soothed his achy back and the overcompensating muscles in his leg.
Safe to say, baths become a regular occurrence for you two.
You get him a matching fluffy robe with a hood because one time he said he was jealous of how cozy you looked in yours after a bath. Once, Shen stopped by to drop off the butterfly portable ultrasound that he had borrowed and Jack answered the door in said robe.
Jack had his stoic work face on, the grumpiness only enhanced by the fact that Shen’s visit was interrupting his time with you.
“Ha, you look like a Sith, Abbot,” Shen teased him, butterfly in one hand and a half drank Dunkin’ in the other. “Robe’d up and about to cut my hand off.” He took a loud sip of his coffee as Jack just glared at him.
“Get out of here before I actually consider it.” He tugged the Butterfly from Shen’s grasp, about to slam the door in his face.
“Oh c'mon Jack, that’s not very nice.” You ran up to the door and opened it further to reveal yourself.
“Sorry John, he didn’t mean that.”
“Yeah right.” He takes in your appearance beside Jack, wearing the same exact fuzzy robe. “Like the matchy matchy, very cute you two.” Shen pulls out his phone and snaps a picture before either of you could even process it. “That’s totally going in the group chat, dude,” he laughed.
“Not making a good case for yourself here,” Jack muttered. Shen couldnt stop laughing, and at that you moved your hand off the door jamb and let Jack slam it shut.
He turned to you then and let out a little chuckle at the whole ordeal. “He’s a piece of work.”
“Thought he was your favorite resident?”
“No, you're my favorite resident.” ___
Besides stretching to start the day on a good note, taking soothing baths, and tending to your garden you also do yoga sometimes to turn your mind off and tune into your body after a hectic shift. He’s still reluctant to try that one, and likes to give you your space to do the things you enjoy on your own sometimes. So he doesn't join you for that, but he loves watching you as you get ready to head to the studio.
You always wear these skin tight, colorful matching workout sets that drive him crazy. He doesn’t mean to keep you from getting to class, but sometimes he just can’t help the temptation.
“Baby,” he draws it out in a long groan. He crossed the room to you, grabbing your hips and ghosting his hands up and down, reverently. You were trying to gather your keys and yoga mat to head out the door. “You’re killing me here with the powder blue.” The leggings hugged your ass just right. God, he was about to start drooling.
You try to squirm out of his hold to put your shoes on, but he won't budge. “Get a good look, Jack, because I gotta go. Gonna be late if I don't leave right now.”
“Oh no, you're gonna be late already? Maybe you should just stay here with me,” he pouts suggestively.
“Already paid for the class. Actually you did, your card’s on the account.” With your resident salary, Jack liked to treat you to things like a membership to a fancy yoga studio with free green smoothies. He loved ‘providing’ for you, even though you both knew you could be just fine by yourself.
“Even better. I don't care about losing 30 bucks right now. Because you look way too sexy in those leggings to leave me here all alone.” He pecks your lips, then down your neck, sucking the spot where he knows will draw out a moan from you. You grasp your hand into his hair, getting lost in his efforts to entice you.
“Let me peel these off of you,” he begs, running his fingers under the waistband of the leggings. His hands travel lower, kneading at your ass and pulling you tighter against him. “Just let me worship your beautiful body, sweetheart.”
How could you say no to that? Maybe you would miss your class, but this was a form of self care as good as any.

criminally hot | ·˚ ༘ spencer reid ,,
summary - you get wrongfully accused by a sheriff, and it isn’t you who’s angriest. it’s your boyfriend who has to expose your relationship in order to clear you.
genre - spencer x bau!fem!reader, fluff, slight angst if u squint, angry reid x calm reader
wc - 1.2k
warnings - reader uses she/her pronouns, handcuffs, violence, a weird white man i know id be fucking scared as well, oh swearing as well.
a/n - i love u you’re so awkward i am doing so well bc of ur request, keep requesting things your brain is crazy. ummm anyways this is my first time writing this kinda thing omg how exciting okay start reading it wtf you still doing here?
request - ( from @babyoureahauntedhouse ) omg hii!!! :3 this is my first time requesting, so please excuse the awkwardness 😭😭😭😭 first of all, how are you????? i hope you’re doing amazing!!! absolutely no pressure, but can you do one where reader gets falsely arrested (not a huge thing, maybe in a police station at a small town or something) and spencer absolutely **loses** his shit at how she’s being treated????? like, she’s freezing and the sheriff or somethjng keeps pushing her and then he just bursts into the interrogation room and uncuffs her and it’s just very fluffy???? thank you!

Emily handed you your coffee with a smile, receiving a small thank you in return. It was warm in your hands and created a comforting contrast to the cool chill of the police precinct you were set up in.
Things were going well given that you’d only been in the small town for half a day. The team debriefed on the plane, but Aaron had been on the phone with the leading detective for at least an hour now asking him where he was.
Emily headed off to the restrooms when a slender hand made its way to your waist. You turned and felt your cheeks heat, knowing exactly who is was.
“Hi Spencer.”
“Hi Y/n.” His eyes held sweetness in the chocolate swirls, and you felt like a kid who had been given candy. Spencer and you had been dating for a few months, but somehow in a team of profilers you both kept things under wraps, even with Spencer’s clumsy touches and your lingering stares. “I wish we were home,” he whispered.
You glanced around for anyone who could witness your interaction and get suspicious, but you were mostly alone other than Hotch and some officers who were weirdly taking a lot of attention to you.
“Yeah me too. I’m feeling oddly popular and not in the good way.”
Before you could talk more or offer him a sip of your coffee (even if you know he doesn’t like it), Aaron calls his name and the slim tall boy scurries away with a straight face.
You turn to find something to do. To reread a case, to help someone fill out papers, to talk to Morgan or Garcia. You would’ve opted to huddling in your cardigan if a tall man didn’t interrupt.
“Y/n L/n?” He asked in monotone. His arms were at his sides, one hovering above a pair of cuffs that hung from his police belt. Furrowing your eyebrows you answered,
“Yes? What’s wrong?”
“You’re under arrest for the robberies of…”
His voice pounded into the background of your head, thoughts attacking your eyes through a sudden headache as the words registered before you could help it. The room was silent except for the man’s voice, yet all you could hear was the furrow of eyebrows and quick approach of your boss, Aaron Hotchner.
“What’s going on here?”
“Your agent has been seen…”
You stood still as another officer came behind you and forced handcuffs onto your arms, gripping your wrists with unnecessary force that would surely leave bruises. You winced and looked between your boss and the officer, and then at Spencer, who was being pulled back by Morgan. He yelled your name in worry, witnessing the hardened grips on your body and rough pushing you were being subject to. Your coffee splattered on the ground, staining your white shoes.
There was only mumbles and white noise, as your eyes met with Spencer’s. The large officer behind you kicked your leg to get you moving, the shock glueing your shoes to the rubbery floor. And you almost didn’t even notice the hand on the back of your neck pushing you towards a dark room with a desk and two chairs.
You were so familiar with these rooms and yet it felt so different.
Of course, you didn’t actually do anything. And of course you attempt to clear that up to the officers who are slamming their hands on the table and screaming as much as they could, in a poor attempt to intimidate you.
Aaron was in the corner with a scolding face and hard hand to his chin, observing the situation with an intensity you barely ever see.
“Last month, you were seen at one of the houses that got robbed over night. You left a few days later, after also being seen at two of the other houses-“
“So she was seen at three of the ten houses robbed and you arrest her?” Aaron spoke up, bringing the men’s attention to your boss instead of you. You took the opportunity to look outside of the window.
Though it wasn’t clear, you could make out the outline of a tall boy you wished would just break into the room and save you.
And he did.
“Your evidence is illogical and childish. She’s an FBI agent for gods sake-“
“Anybody can be a suspect Agent Hotchner, even federal agents.” The tall one replied with a stubborn mumbled.
Suddenly, the door was slammed open and you were met with a disheveled Spencer panting with a red and severe face. He didn’t even bother looking at you before he starting schooling the men in blue, who at that point were glaring at him and attempting to look more intimidating than they actually were.
“I’ve read your files on this case and nothing links to Y/n L/n, not one-“
“There’s no way you read our-“
“I can read more in a minute than you can in a day, dickhead. Y/n was meeting old school friends when she was in town, we went to the Diner Inn afterwards and we met with her parents who have receipts for the meals because they’re-“ he turned his glance at you,” “sorry Y/n- they’re hoarders. You have nothing against her other than some positively reported visits and some photos of her hugging the house owners.” Spencer had slowly pinned the officers to the opposite wall unconsciously. It was hot. “I was there, I’m her receipt. And like her parents, she loves keeping those. So if you want to insist she’s your culprit, go for it. But your going against a man with eidetic memory and a lot of evidence.”
And while he was logical and correct, he was also a little too truthful.
The officers blinked in fear. Spencer definitely didn’t seem the type to yell or swear, so this clear, concise and undermining approach to the situation was somehow even scarier.
“Spencer,” you began, “thank you.”
He looked at you, his expression softening into empathy and care, “Of course.” His hands found a key in his back pocket as he approached you, starting to promptly uncuff you.
As Aaron continued to speak with the officers of their major mistake, Spencer took you outside of the room and into a private office. Your heart was racing, but it seemed Spencer was more stressed than you. He paced as you leaned onto the front of a wooden desk, hands over your chest as your eyes trailed Spencer.
“I’m sorry, Y/n. I should’ve reacted faster, then you wouldn’t have been..” He stopped closely in front of you, his breath hot on yours as his gaze scoured over your body for injuries or bruises. “Are you okay?”
You smile calmly, “I’m fine. My leg hurts, and I think my wrists will be bruised, but I’m fine.”
He took your hands and rubbed his thumbs on your wrists carefully, causing butterflies to explode in your stomach.
“Thank you Spencer.” Your eyes dance with each others. “You were really hot. Maybe I need to get arrested more often.” You joke with a lift to your voice and a smirk, causing him to look down with a smile and shake his head.
“If being angry makes me hot maybe you should reevaluate what you-“
Your lips found his, you hand going to his bicep and his going to the back of your neck, before a clearing of the throat took you both out of your trances. It was Hotch.
“I’ve got some paperwork you both need to sign. About the arrest and,” his hand waved between you two, “this.”
Morgan stood behind Aaron with a smirk, leaving quickly to go tell Garcia that she had lost their bet.

MOOOOOOREE SUKUNA WITH HIS SHY DAUGHTER🙏🙏🙏🧎♀️🧎♀️
lull — ryomen sukuna x f!reader

a/n: this idea holds a special place in my heart (also am i back? who knows)

your daughter squirms restlessly in her futon, her tiny hands clutching the edges of her blanket.
she’s been unusually fussy tonight, her soft murmurs rising each time you try to ease her into slumber.
you sit beside her, brushing a hand through her fine hair. “d/n,” you murmur gently, “it’s time to sleep.”
she shakes her head, her lips trembling in that way that precedes a fit of tears. “mama stay,” she whispers, her wide eyes glistening.
you sigh, glancing toward the doorway where sukuna leans, his broad frame casting a long shadow across the room.
his usual scowl is firmly in place, his arms crossed as he watches the scene unfold with thinly veiled impatience.
“she won’t settle,” you say softly, your voice carrying a tinge of exasperation. “it’s been almost an hour.”
sukuna raises an eyebrow, his sharp gaze flicking between you and the tiny, restless figure on the futon. “she’s three,” he grunts. “just tell her to sleep.”
“oh, yes, because commanding a toddler works so well,” you reply dryly, shooting him a look. “why don’t you try?”
his eyes narrow. “me?”
“yes, you.” you stand, brushing off your kimono. “she’s your daughter too, isn’t she?”
sukuna clicks his tongue, clearly displeased, but he doesn’t protest further. he steps into the room, his presence overwhelming the small space.
your daughter freezes, her wide eyes locking onto him as she clutches her blanket tighter. she’s always been shy around him, despite—or perhaps because of—his imposing nature.
you stifle a smile as you watch the scene unfold, stepping back to lean against the doorway.
“go on,” you urge, folding your arms. “show me how the mighty king of curses handles bedtime.”
he glares at you but kneels beside your daughter’s futon.
she stares up at him, her small frame looking even tinier next to his broad shoulders. for a moment, neither of them moves, the silence stretching taut between them.
sukuna finally exhales through his nose, his expression softening—just barely. “d/n,” he says, his deep voice unusually gentle, “it’s time to sleep.”
she blinks at him, her grip on the blanket loosening slightly. “not sleepy,” she mumbles, her voice barely audible.
sukuna frowns, glancing over his shoulder at you.
you shrug, clearly enjoying his discomfort. he turns back to your daughter, his expression caught somewhere between annoyance and awkwardness.
“close your eyes,” he tries again, his tone more commanding this time.
her bottom lip wobbles. “no…”
you bite back a laugh, and sukuna shoots you a murderous glare. he sits back on his heels, clearly at a loss. then, as if remembering something, his gaze flicks to you again.
“she likes when you sing to her,” you offer helpfully, knowing full well how he’ll react.
his scowl deepens. “I don’t sing.”
“well, tonight you do,” you reply, your grin widening. “come on, sukuna. you’re her father. she’ll fall asleep in no time.”
he looks like he’d rather fight a dozen curses barehanded than follow your suggestion, but your daughter’s soft, expectant gaze leaves him with little choice.
he sighs heavily, running a hand through his hair before turning back to the little girl.
“what do you want me to sing?” he asks gruffly, his voice low.
she hesitates, her tiny fingers playing with the edge of her blanket. “lullaby?” she whispers, her eyes darting to you for reassurance.
you nod encouragingly at her, then at sukuna. “go on,” you urge. “she’s waiting.”
he grumbles under his breath but clears his throat.
the sound is awkward, hesitant—so unlike the confident and domineering man you know. your daughter watches him intently, her wide eyes filled with curiosity.
he begins, his deep voice rough at first, as if the act of singing is foreign to him. but as he continues, his tone evens out, and the melody flows smoother.
it’s a simple tune, one you’ve hummed countless times to your daughter, but hearing it from sukuna feels different.
your daughter’s eyelids begin to droop, her small body relaxing under the soothing tone of his voice. her hand rests on his knee, gripping it ever so slightly.
you can’t help but smile, your heart swelling at the sight of sukuna—fearsome, unyielding sukuna—softened by the presence of your child.
as the lullaby comes to an end, sukuna’s voice trails off, and the room falls silent. your daughter is fast asleep, her breathing slow and steady.
sukuna watches her for a moment, his crimson eyes unreadable. then, almost hesitantly, he reaches out and brushes a strand of hair from her face.
“she’s asleep,” he mutters, his voice quiet.
you step forward, kneeling beside him. “see? that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
his eyes flit up to yours as he glares at you. “you won’t speak of this ever again, you hear?”
“of course,” you say, though the smile tugging at your lips suggests otherwise.
sukuna rises to his feet, his towering form casting a shadow over the futon.
he looks down at your daughter, his expression softening in a way that you have become used to whenever it involved your daughter.
without a word, he turns and strides toward the door, pausing only to glance back at you. “you coming?” he asks.

PAIRING: Alpha!Seungcheol x Omega! f.reader
SUMMARY: A heatwave in your city makes dealing with your hormones more difficult than usual. Getting locked in a lobby at work for an hour with an alpha makes it ten times worse. Thankfully, Seungcheol is there to help you - and maybe a little more.
WC: TBD
AU: Omegaverse, Coworkers to Lovers
GENRE: Smut, A bit of Fluff, the barest hint of angst
RATING: 18+ Minors are strictly prohibited from engaging in and reading this content. It contains explicit content and any minors discovered reading or engaging with this work will be blocked immediately.
TEASER WARNINGS: Reader is suffering a medical event (going into heat while locked in at work) and is distressed, a little bit of internal shame at falling apart in front of Seungcheol, reader needs assistance to get to a car etc. a/b/o dynamics.
A/N: I lost all sense and control of myself. I’ve wanted to write a/b/o for so long and I finally gave up and dove in head first with this one. It’s very light on the actual science/society/tropes but outside of a random fic I did a few years ago, this is my actual first attempt at the genre :)
A/N 2: This is your friendly neighborhood reminder that a/b/o should always be written with the backslashes included, as the acronym without them is a slur in some countries. Please be mindful :)
MASTERLIST | ASK |
READ FULL FIC

“Hey,” Seungcheol says, causing you to look at him. His face is soft. Concerned. “You still with me?”
The way he says it, soft and gentle make things worse. Makes you want to whine and cross the lobby floor to him, to let him pull you in tight and tell you it’ll be okay. To comfort you. The desire is so bad that you realize you’re much farther into Stage 1 than you thought.
Panic starts to nip at your heels. You’re unsure what to do. There’s nothing on you besides your nasal spray and your patches to help you out, but those aren’t what you need. Your patches protect others from your scent and the nasal spray protects you from others - from Seungcheol.
You try to answer, but your voice catches in your throat, coming out thin and shaky. “I’m okay.”
“Are you in prodrome?” he asks quietly, voice pitched low and careful.
You flinch when he finally says it out loud, letting the acknowledgement ring in the lobby. You close your eyes for a moment, your silence an answer in itself.
Seungcheol sighs and pulls his phone back out of his pocket, dialing as he lifts it to his ear. “Yeah, I know. Look, you need to expedite. My colleague needs medical assistance and we’re still locked in the lobby. No… no.” Seungcheol glances at you. “She’s experiencing prodrome. Can you please expedite? Yes. Thank you.”
He hangs up and turns back to you, stepping slowly so he doesn’t overwhelm, arms loose at his sides in a show of calm. “They’re sending someone now. Shouldn’t be long.”
You nod, but your breathing is uneven, shallow now. You can feel the sweat dripping down your spine, the pressure behind your eyes. Everything smells too sharp, too thick. Especially him. Spice and warmth and safety. It’s awful.
Seungcheol stays where he is, a careful distance between you, but his voice is steady when he says, “Tell me what you need. What I can do to help.”
“I’m fine.”
“I mean it. If you need space, I’ll back off. If you need something cold, we’ll figure it out. Just don’t… don’t try to pretend this isn’t happening. Let me help you.”
The kindness in his voice cracks something in your chest. No judgment, no pressure, just him, steady and solid, offering help while your body betrays you one symptom at a time.
You swallow hard. “I just need to get out. I just need to make it home before it gets worse.”
Seungcheol nods, no hesitation. “Then we’ll get you home. I promise.”
Time moves like molasses. The silence between you thickens. You give up on standing, sitting on the cool tile floor. It only offers momentary respite until you’re panting again, struggling to maintain your grip on yourself.
It’s not working. Your entire body is pulsing, tingling, burning in waves that crest and fall without rhythm. Your skin itches with hypersensitivity, every shift of your clothes unbearable, your breath slow and ragged. It feels like you’re melting, burning up from the forge in your chest.
You can feel Seungcheol watching you from his assigned corner. He says nothing, keeping a respectful distance. You steal a glance at him through bleary eyes. He’s just leaning against the wall, hands clenched and jaw tight. He’s doing his best to appear calm, but you see signs of irritation. His throat works and your eyes linger on the way his Adam's apple bobs for too long. You think about sinking your teeth into his neck, tasting him-
His scent, normally warm and grounded, spikes. You sense the shift and it makes you squirm, pressing yourself further into the wall. You look away from him, hiding your face in your shoulder while you squeeze your eyes shut as another wave of cramping crashes into you.
Seungcheol’s irritation is sharp. Shame floods you, thick and fast. Of course he’s annoyed. Today has gone from bad to worse. He’s now stuck in a lobby with an omega in prodrome, a liability that he now has to be responsible for, and you’re barely holding it together, shaking like a live wire. You’re stuck, and he’s stuck with you, and-
The lobby doors beep and hiss open. You don’t even lift your head. Don’t even hear the first few words from the guards. You only feel cool night air and the sudden shift in pressure, making you keen and melt into the tile.
Seungcheol appears at your side, his scent fading from acrid to soothing.
“Hey,” he murmurs, crouching down to your level. It’s the closest he’s been to you all day. You feel the heat of him, the nearness overwhelming. “They’re here. We can go.”
You don’t move. The thought of moving suddenly seems like an insurmountable task. Your world is tilting, your ears ringing. Your limbs feel detached from your brain and your body is locked, curled in on itself. Heat prickles across your skin like static.
Worst of all, you’re starting to panic. Fear sets in, stabbing deep. You don’t know how to get up and take the train home. Don’t know how to get yourself up the stairs and into your apartment. To the cabinet to take a suppressant. To the fridge for water.
Seungcheol’s voice sharpens. “Hey. Look at me.”
It’s a command. You blink up at him, barely able to focus. Something flashes behind his eyes and he’s on the phone again. “Hi, I need emergency assistance for an omega. She’s in heat prodrome and she’s deteriorating fast. No, she’s conscious. She’s overheating, but having trouble standing and struggling to focus. I have no idea what to do.”
You barely hear the voice on the other end of the line, but Seungcheol does. His expression shifts, each word they say tightening his jaw.
“She’s a coworker - we were locked in a lobby at work but I can take her to an omega hospital.” You whimper and shake your head vehemently, whining. He softens. “They said they can give you a heat inhibitor on-site”
“No,” you pant. “Those hurt.”
He nods. “I can’t do that, she doesn’t want to go.” The operator says something else and he nods. His eyes tighten at the corners and he glances at you. “I can take you to a service clinic. They can assign you-”
“Home,” you plead. “I just need to get home. I can- I can deal with it.”
“I don’t know… do you have um. Do you have an alpha you usually…?”
“No.”
Tears well up fast and hot, blurring your vision, sliding down your cheeks in silent streaks. Your whole body feels wrong, like you’ve been unraveled from the inside, trembling and raw.
“I just want to go home,” you whisper, folding in on yourself. “I have my meds. I can manage if I can just get home. Please.”
He repeats what you say into the phone. They say something and he shakes his head and hangs up, shoving his phone into his pocket. “Okay. Alright. We’re going to get you home, okay?”

“I know it’s over”
Yandere Batfam x Neglected Maki Zenin!reader

Prologue,Chapter 1 - “I can feel”, Chapter 2, Chapter 3 Tw: neglect, Injury, obsession, abandonment, Torture, Abuse, SA (this is a disclaimer for the whole story not for this chapter + sorry about the bad grammar and typos.)
Once [name] was dropped off at the manor she was greeted with an hidden annoyed expression by the man Bruce Wayne. Her father.
She hated that expression.
The one that she would get from the people in the clan when they passed by her.
She had Mai her sister to help her be brave.
But she isn’t here with her.
[name] was scared and sad that her own father didn’t even care for her. Just what kind of man was he? All those news reports and stories about him being a good man to his children were all a lie?! No, [name] didn’t like this at all. This isn’t fair.
“I’m sorry for the lost of your mother.” Bruce said briefly and quickly dismissed her with Alfred.
Her mother died long ago and that’s the only thing you can say to her when you’re first meeting your daughter?
Just who do you think you are?
Is what [name] would say if Mai was with her but she was scared and sad that her dad didn’t even want to talk to her.
“Don’t worry young mistress. No need to look so sad you have other siblings to greet and talk to” The butler with a British accent had said.
[name] looked up at the butler “um hi..what’s your name? I’m <name>” She waved a little at him hoping her accent didn’t ruined her English.
The butler had a small smile from the child’s voice “I’m Alfred Pennyworth. Nice to meet you young mistress.”
[name] laughed a little from the butler’s accent.
“Now why don’t I show you you’re room?”
♩
After being showed her room [name] went to explore the manor.
When she went downstairs she had seen someone in the kitchen ‘That must be one of my brothers! He’s tall..’
She had stopped behind him and got the courage to speak to him. “Hi I’m [name]”
The male hadn’t known the child was behind him, he had accidentally kicked her, and her head had hit the counter behind her.
“Oh shit!”
[name] head started to bleed ‘it hurts….it hurts so much..but he didn’t mean to. He’s my brother he didn’t mean to.’
“hey sorry I’m so sorry…” Dick said and helped her up.
“I-It’s o-ok I’m a big girl..” [name] says as she wipes some of the blood off her forehead.
“Let me-“ Before he finishes he gets a text and he reads out taking his phone out his pocket. “You said you were a big girl right?” He said turning his head to her. [name] nods her head eagerly.
“Then you’ll be fine handling it. I have to go. When I come back we can go to the arcade.” Dick offered a smile and [name] returned it but it soon dropped when he left.
‘At least we’ll go to the arcade later..’
…..
[name] had treated her head due to already having experience when living with the clan. She waited and participated to go with dick to the whole night just to be disappointed when he didn’t came.
‘He probably forgot…maybe next time.’
but there was never a next time.
[name] was bored on day 3 of being in the manor and had always asked Alfred if she could talk to her father but he always said he was busy.
“Papa is busy again…what do I do..” [name] talked to herself and she had stumbled in the library and looked at all the books.
“Woah…”
As she walked looking at all the books she had bumped into someone and they grunted that they dropped their book and looked to see who it was.
[name] looked at the person “oh sorry-“
“Watch where you’re fucking going.”
“oh.” [name] looks down sadly.
He scoffs “Another one of Bruce’s adopted mistakes?”
[name] looks up at him confused “what?”
How could her bother (she thinks) say something so rude. He then crouched to her height.
“I-I’m his kid! I promise..a-and your my brother right?”
He raised a brow then smirked “look kid.” He put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it till it hurt.
“You’re just one of Bruce little distractions for a while and then he’ll forget about you and everything you like. Don’t think you’re special. And I’m not your brother.” He then pushes her aside and she hits the bookshelf.
He walks away.
Because she had hit the bookshelf a book had fell on her head cause of the push and her head injury began to blood again.
“Ow it hurts…it hurts so much. How can he say that?”
[name] cried silently but it was never heard by anyone.
♩
A week passes since she been in the manor and she hadn’t been able to hang out of dick or her dad. She was able to find out who that guy was in the library after overseeing him and dick talk which she learned his name was Jason.
When [name] sees them talking she smiled softly ‘two of my brothers! We can maybe hang out.’
[name] went down the stairs and walked to them and as her footsteps were heard their conversation stopped and they looked at her. One had a obvious annoyed expression and the other had a forced smile.
”Um I’m [name] I never uh got to tell you guys my name”
“because we don’t ca-“ Dick had stepped on his foot to make him shut up.
“Oh! That’s a uh..unique name.. well his name is-“
[name] interrupted him excitedly “It’s ok! I already know! You’re dick and that’s Jason!”
“oh..um don’t call me dick. It’s Richard.”
But that’s what everyone calls you? Why can’t She call you dick?
“oh. Sorry.” [name] smile disappeared. “What’s do you want?” Jason had said with his arms crossed. And [name] looks down “oh I was wondering um if we could all go to the arcade-“
“About that, sorry me and jay here have something planned already sorry.”
Liar.
“Oh ok..”
[name] walked upstairs sadly and she stumbled a room that was slightly ajar and she looks through the crack and sees a person sitting on a chair looking at a computer.
‘We can probably hang out!’
She walks in the room and the door cracks from the movement of being open and her steps made noises on the floorboards causing the person to turn their chair.
“Who are you.” The person had said with a tired expression.
“I’m [name] it’s nice to meet you. I was just wondering if we can hang out-“
“No, get out I have stuff to do and you’re ruining it.”
“Oh sorry.”
He turns back around to continue what he was doing and [name] had left closing his door and she frowns
‘Everybody is busy..but that’s ok maybe later we can hang out…’
As [name] had walked away to go to her room she had seen Alfred make way to the same room from before and she hears Alfred say their name.
Tim.
….
Week and a half passed since she stayed in the manor and she had met Cassandra and Stephanie. Cassandra didn’t really care to talk to her much but she did interact with her but only to ask about where someone was. Stephanie on the other hand would actually go out her way to talk to [name]. But only for a little while and leave. But at least [name] had someone to talk to when she needed help on something but she would be interpreted most of the time by Cassandra or Tim. But if not she would sometimes cut off their conversation saying that she remembers had to do something and would leave. After the new week had passed Stephanie had lost interest and only talked to [name] when she sees her to say hello and that’s it.
The family in general didn’t talk to her that much. Always finding a reason to not talk or just not wanting to interact in general. When [name] would catch any of them talking to another they would suddenly get quiet or lower their conversation when they see her.
One day she had caught on their conversations and she found out her father Bruce was Batman!
[name] was walking to the kitchen silently and saw nightwing and Batman arguing and nightwing had took off his eye mask thing and she sees it was Richard! Shocked she also sees Batman take off his mask and it was her dad Bruce!
That means her other siblings are vigilantes!
[name] not thinking had went to them smiling “I didn’t know you guys were cool heroes! That means I can finally be a hero right?” Bruce had turn to her and looked at her with a stern expression making her even more scared of his already scary expression. She quickly realized she wasn’t supposed to be here so we ran back upstairs looking down sadly.
As she walked upstairs she didn’t see Tim had coffee in his hand walking to the stairs too so when she had looked up her head had hit his hand and the coffee fell out his hand and he tsked annoyed.
“god…”
“sorry! I didn’t mean to-“
“Shut up! Just shut up ok?! You always bother me trying to ask dumb question and it’s annoying! You’re so damn annoying! Why can’t you just go back where you came from?!” Tim yelled finally losing it due to being up late all the time solving a case.
“I-I’m sorry I’ll make you a new one-“ [name] desperately try make this argument go away “no just move!” He pushed [name] out the way. She was on top of the stairs so once he had pushed her she went tumbling down.
‘Ow ow it hurts it hurt it hurts it hurts’ Her left arm twisted in the way it shouldn’t. And once was near the end of the stairs a nail lose from the wall of the stairs had shook from her sudden weight. It flew off the wall and as soon as she was about to reach the end of the stairs the nail had pierced her eye.
[name] screamed in pain as her eye bleeds out.
The noise had caught Bruce and Dick’s attention and they went to where the noise was coming from and seen her at the bottom of the stairs and Dick quickly checked her injuries and Bruce had looked up seen no one on top of the stairs.
“What happened? Are you ok?” Dick asked crouched to where she laid at just and Bruce just stared as he stood with a his usual scary expression.
[name] couldn’t form any words as she cried.
“She fell.” Cassandra says walking out from the shadows where she had witnessed the scene.
“I was passing by and seen her slipped” She said with her arms crossed.
[name] couldn’t say anything to say it was Tim because she was in so much pain as she gripped her bleeding eye.
‘What? The time you want to speak on anything that involves me you want to lie about me felling when Timothy pushed me…that isn’t fair. No that isn’t fair at all..how could you? I thought we were sisters..’
Bruce sighed now he has to treat this girl because she slipped.
“Can you be more careful next time? There isn’t any need to be an inconvenience for everyone.” Bruce deep voice stated with a hint of annoyance. [name] cries went more quiet as her not injured eye widen and stared at her dad Bruce.
‘How could you say that…’
.♩
After that incident her arm was now in a cast and her eye had cohesive bandage around it which was also around her head.
[name] had stayed in her room for a whole month after that incident. Alfred had always went to check up on her and made sure she had breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Alfred worried that she would lose hope on being apart the family so he would always give her encouraging words or tell her stories about them and or how they were younger since she already knows the family’s alter egos. [name] would always smile to not have the English butler worry too much but she has already given up on try.
<Years later>
[Name] was now 14 and she still had been neglected and now they didn’t even give her good excuses on why they don’t want to talk to her.
But [name] was fine with the silence. She had Alfred.
Once day a new person would be introduced to the manor.
Damian Wayne
Once [name] found out he was half little brother she was happy but also sad because he will be met with the same neglect, but at least they’ll have each other! After all they were real siblings! It will be just like when she was with Mai!
“I’ll be the best older sister again”
Oh, you were SO wrong.
Damian was and had everything you wanted from the family, Warmth. Care. Love. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair at all. He was so lucky that you wanted to throw up and shout from how he did nothing and was able to fit in, but it didn’t matter because he was YOUR little brother, YOUR real sibling. So you tried to bond with him.
Now you were clenching your already partially blind eye as it was now bleeding from the sword that slashed down at it that Damian was holding.
“What’s wrong with you?!” [name] said angrily.
“I’m only teaching you a lesson. You’re a disgrace to the Wayne bloodline. The best thing you could do for my family is to kill yourself.”Damian said putting his sword away and once he had turn his back to walk away [name] had rushed at him, and grabbed his hair and slammed his face into the wall. He grunted holding his bleeding nose and he turned to [name] with a glare.
“Do you want to die, you disgrace?!” Damian said getting ready to pounce on her. “I’ll like to see you try, you little shit” [name] got in stance from when she was trained those years back, but she was a little rusty.
Damian pounced on her and tried to pull the little bastard off her as he pulled on her hair and his other hand trying to punch her. From the sudden weight [name] was moving backwards.
“Get off me you little fucker!” [name] said slamming his back against the wall. Damian yelped in pain, and had let go of her. He laid on the ground about to get up until multiple footsteps were rushing upstairs. The family had heard the commotion and see [name] with one of her closed eye bleeding with a long cut, but Damian had a bloody nose while on the floor with [name] standing over him.
Damian who sees this as a opportunity to get [name] in trouble he rubs on of his eyes and makes a sniffing noise to seem like he was crying. Just when [name] was about to say anything, or before anyone got to do anything Alfred had walked up to name.
A loud SMACK sound was heard and her face moved to the side from the slap.
‘You’ll have to forgive me master. But he’s just a child. I’m sorry. You’ll have to please forgive me’ Alfred had said in his head as now the attention was now on Damian. They comforted him even though he was the one who started this mess.
[name] stood in shocked from the slap from Alfred that she didn’t notice Bruce had walked up to her.
”Why would you do this [Name] ? You know he has a rough childhood so would you attack him? I had expected you would do better and ignore any of his rude comments. I’m disappointed in you. I want you to stay away from him from now on.”
[name] didn’t have a single word on what to say because she was sure they wouldn’t believe or want to hear what she will have to say. So she walked past them to go to her room, as she walked to her room she could feel their hatred in their eyes burn in her back, and Damian’s cocky smirk.
The incident was forgotten. Well the scar that happened to [name] had been forgotten, not the nose bleed she gave Damian. Every family move night, event, day they’ll give her more of a cold shoulder or glare (Jason and Tim).
You’d think [name] would have Alfred? But no. After that incident she didn’t really want anything to do with him. She thinks that he’s just like the rest of the family. But he’s not he swears! He still tries to talk or make her happy even though [name] shows no interest on wanting to interact with him.
[name] was alone again.
But it soon changed when she was walking home from school after track practice.
“Yo! [name] Wayne right?” Someone asked from behind her and she turned already about to blow off on this person.
“Nice to meet ya’! I’m now your sensei!”
“what?”
“Name’s Satoru Gojo!~”

A/n|| ok so half of the family already gives [name] an injury? Now it’s time for the rest😎

Hi!! I saw that you write for Arcane and had a really cute idea for Vander. I don’t really see a lot of fics where you get to see Vander’s reactions to the reader either playing with the kids or comforting them, so I thought a fic centered around that might be cute? (I think also having a bit of slow burn would be sweet, like both Vander and the reader like each other but don’t do anything about it until getting a little push from the kids because they ship).
ONE LITTLE PUSH
Reblogs and Comments are greatly appreciated!!

JUST IN TIME (kind of) FOR SEASON TWO, LETS GOOOOO
__________________________________________________________________________
Vander wasn’t quite sure why you stuck around for so long.
In fact, he wasn’t sure why you stuck around in the first place.
But… As Vander watches you with the kids. His kids. He begins to understand why.
You were kind, unyieldingly so. Even as Mylo grew to start picking on Powder, even as they fought, you were kind and patient and offered them the unending gentle love they all so craved.
The love he couldn’t afford to give them because who could be gentle in the Undercity? Especially in the depths of the Lanes?
You could.
Vander was in the middle of pouring a drink when Powder tumbled into The Last Drop. She was covered in bruises and dust from something. Or someone. She barely met his gaze as she clambered to her feet and all but sprinted into the back where they all slept. Vander looked through the multitude of customers and spotted you.
You had obviously seen Powder go bolting, worry twisting your face as you glanced toward the bar and met his stare. You arched an eyebrow, and he shrugged. You rolled your eyes and sighed before smiling in jest and getting up from where you had been tinkering with the jukebox.
Vander finally manages to get away from his chatty clients and makes his way back into the back room nearly fifteen minutes later.
Only to pause by the door.
“—ylo hates me! He does, I swear!” Powder cries, and you hush her gently, dabbing what looks to be some of the antiseptic you have lying around on her cuts and bruises. Disinfectant was hard to come by, especially in the Lanes, but you were seemingly magic in the sense that you always knew who to talk to to get some. It seems you had worked your magic yet again.
“Did Mylo say that he hates you?” You ask gently, whispering a quiet “sorry” under your breath as she flinched with the sting of the antiseptic.
Powder pauses, thinking what had to be her earlier conversation over,
“Well… No…” She mumbles, and you hum,
“Can I give you my honest opinion?” You ask, and she stills, looking up at you with wide eyes before nodding.
“Aren’t you always honest with us?” She asks. You chuckle at that.
“I suppose I am. But I don’t think Mylo hates you. Does he find you a bit annoying? Maybe. But every big brother thinks that about their younger siblings. I know mine did.” You say, and Powder mulls your words over and over and over in her mind.
She always did overthink things.
“I didn't know you had a big brother.” She says eventually, and you let out a loud laugh at that.
“You are a silly girl for focusing on that. But yes, I came from a big family. And guess what? I was the baby of the family. Just. Like. You.” You say, emphasizing your words with a pinch to her side. Powder squeals with laughter and wriggles away to escape your dastardly tickling.
Vander hangs his head with a huff and a smile before turning to head back to the bar counter. He can hear your conversation continue as Powder escapes your grasp.
“Now, where did you get all these bruises from?”
“Um… Vi taught me parkour from Topside down…”
“Powder! You’re like seven!”
“Seven and a half! And she said I was ready!”
Ever since you began to stick around, you had become something of a parent figure to the four little children Vander had come into care for.
To Vi and Powder especially.
So when Mylo burst into The Last Drop with the words of a fistfight on his tongue, you were the first one out the door.
Vander was close behind.
Mylo led you and Vander deep into the Undercity. In fact, it was so far into the Undercity that Vander was worried they were getting into some dark territory.
Like… Really dark territory.
But soon enough, the sounds of a fight were heard, and soon after, you were deep in the throng of a multi-person fistfight. Everyone paused for a second when they saw you and then stopped altogether when they spotted Vander not far behind.
You began to pull people off and shoved them out of the way. You did this again and again, ducking under a few stray punches until you managed to unearth Vi.
She wasn’t looking too hot.
Her face was bruised and swollen, and the fifteen-year-old spat out a wad of blood as she bared her bloody teeth and prepared to fight again.
At least until she saw you.
It was as if the tension had been released from her shoulders.
She all but slumped into your grasp, and you stumbled back a step with the sudden weight. Vander yanked the last person away from you both and scooped up his adoptive daughter. She leaned her head into the crook of his neck and was obviously fighting back tears.
Mylo was hunched over, hands on his knees, and wheezed from all the sprinting.
“Vi? Violet, can you hear me?” You said as soon as you all returned to The Last Drop, and Vander set her down on the couch. Powder and Claggor had been found a block away, fighting off more thugs from whoever sent them after the literal children.
He would've pummeled them to a pulp if Vander hadn’t hung up his gauntlets years before.
Vi’s head lolled from side to side, and you shone a pocket flashlight into her eyes, watching as her pupils dilated and contracted. You were experienced at this, taking care of people, even more so than he thought.
Were you a doctor deep in your past?
As Vander thought about it, he realized he didn’t know practically anything about you. Your past, your likes, dislikes, he knew you were good with machines and medicine and that you came from a big family. But that was it.
And that hurt his heart.
You ended up ushering everyone out of the room while you worked on caring for Vi. Vander closed the bar early and was in the middle of putting chairs on tables when you emerged. Powder, Mylo, and Claggor dropped what they were doing. They scampered to your side, a chorus of “How’s Vi?” erupting from the kids. You offered them a tired smile and patted their heads.
“She’ll be okay. She’s resting right now. You can go in and see her if you’re quiet.”
And then it was the two of you.
Vander set the final chair on top of the table and meandered his way over where you were sitting at the bar, head in your hands.
You looked tired.
“Is she really okay?” He asked, and you grunted, rubbing at your temples.
“She has a broken nose, fractured left arm, some bruised ribs, and a concussion. Which, all things considered, she’s very lucky. It could’ve been a lot worse.” You say, and he sighs,
“Did she say why she got into the fight?” He replied, and you shrug,
“She was protecting Powder. Then, more people started showing up until it was an all-out brawl. That’s when we stepped in.” You say, and his shoulders sag.
Vi was going to be okay.
“I don’t think I’ve ever said it. But thank you. For everything you’ve done. Taking care of them and all that.” He says, and you just hum.
“You guys gave me a home after everything. I’m just repaying my debt. Well… that and I love those kids.” You say, and he arches an eyebrow,
“After everything?” He inquires, and you glance up sharply as if not realizing what you had said.
Eventually, your gaze casts downward, and you run a hand over your head and through your hair.
“I was a doctor in Piltover before the rebellion. I was caught trying to help the Undercity before they were officially citizens and cast out.” You say, and his arched eyebrow raises even higher.
“A doctor? Were you any good?” You bark out a dry laugh at that,
“One of the best!” Your voice cracks as you speak, and he feels his heart splinter into pieces.
Vander should’ve known that Claggor and Mylo were up to something when they came in with sneaky grins on their faces.
The Last Drop was all but desolate. It was the wee hours of the morning before the people of the Undercity awoke to begin their day. But the door was unlocked, and the kids were allowed to run in and out as they pleased.
Which they had been doing a lot in the last hour or so.
“Vander!” Mylor clamored for his adopted father’s attention, waving an excited hand as he scampered up to the counter. Claggor hung behind, ever the stoic young man. But there was mischief in their eyes and curling the corners of their mouths.
Vander slung the rag he used to wipe the counters down over his shoulder and leaned on the bar counter.
“What did you do now?” He teased, and Mylo all but squawked.
“When have I ever done anything?!” Vander just stared,
“Do you really want me to answer that?” He asked, and Claggor snickered at Mylo’s deflated expression. Mylo quickly spun on a heel and jabbed a finger at his adopted brother,
“Not a word outta you, Claggor!” He snapped before spinning back as something dawned on him.
“You gotta come with us!” He demanded, and Vander glanced between the two of them.
“Why?” He asked, and Mylo let out an exaggerated groan.
“No questions! Just come on!” He grabbed Vander’s hand and tried tugging him around the counter and toward the front door.
Vander relented, locking the door behind him as he followed the two boys.
Only to realize very quickly what was actually going on.
His first tip-off was hearing Powder and Vi’s voices, yours mixed in as you asked where you were going, why they were taking you, and what they were doing.
Vi answered no questions. Powder just chirped excitedly. “You’ll see! You’ll see!”
The six of you met in the middle of the street, Powder dragging you by your hand as you followed behind patiently. You glanced up from listening to Powder, and your gazes met. Vander felt his heart skip a beat as he took in your appearance. There wasn’t anything particularly new, but you looked like you had cleaned up some. Your hair was pinned neatly back, and your clothes looked ironed.
You looked… Really nice.
“Vander? What’s going on?” You asked, and Vi nudged you with her good arm. Her fractured left one was still healing carefully under your care.
“We’re setting you two up.” She teased, and you stared dumbly.
“Setting us up how?” You asked, and now it was Powder’s turn to blurt out an answer,
“On a date!”
Before the two of you could react, all four kids all but disappeared around the corner in a cloud of dust. Leaving you facing Vander and utterly alone.
It was safe to say he was panicking just a little bit.
“Vander? Do you have any idea what they meant?” You asked gently, and he scrubbed a hand down his face.
“My guess is they want us to go on a date.” He said, fully prepared to hear rejection. Because who would want to go on a date with him? A middle-aged man with a stained past. His lungs twisted as he heard you take a step closer.
A smaller hand slipped into his, and he looked down from where he had been staring at Topside.
Your eyes were lit up, not with disgust at the proposition he was proposing.
But they were filled with hope for the future this relationship would bring.

The Big Part
Alastor x Virgin FemReader smut
Part 2 Part 3
You were dead, it was time to divest yourself of your virginity. When you ask Alastor, he takes to the task immediately. Unfortunately, he seems to enjoy surprising you.
warnings/promises: Alastor x Reader smut, Alastor dislikes getting naked, virginity does not rock, possessive Alastor, head pats, reader is an adult she’s just a nervous idiot bad at words
Horny little deer cult: @frompeach , @chirimeimei , @poppingaround , @polytheatrix , @itsmskeisha , @stygianoir , @celestial-vomit , @xx-all-purpose-nerd-xx , @amurtan
minors dni, this isn’t educational in the slightest and is just straight smut
It made sense, at the time. You didn’t want a relationship and you didn’t want to meet a stranger you couldn’t trust, that left very few people to ask. Husk would say no, and probably stop serving you drinks. Angel would most likely agree, but you were a little intimidated by his experience. That left Alastor. While you hadn’t spent much time together, your interactions were always cordial. And plus, this was hell. Isn’t this kind of situation a sinners dream come true?
For most, maybe. But you didn’t know Alastor. Not yet, not really. Everything he did had some ulterior motive. Perhaps nothing he had ever done was simply selfless. If Alastor wasn’t gaining something, Alastor wasn’t interested.
You caught him in the hallway one evening after redemption-oriented activities, deciding to get the moment over with as quickly as possible.
“It’s a favor, little… odd. But you’re the only person I have to ask.” Your eyes darted around his face, down the hall, up the walls, anywhere really but his eyes.
“I’m all ears!” Alastor tapped the microphone to the ground with a satisfying ‘thud’.
Oh— you had rehearsed this but you hadn’t prepared to be staring at that large, toothy grin. It wasn’t unsettling, it was just distracting. Would he be smiling the entire time he… ya know.
“I am,” you steepled your hands, pointing them at him, “a virgin.” You paused, hoping maybe he’d just infer the rest and you could stop talking.
His face was motionless save his eyelids rising up.
“And I don’t want to be. Anymore.” Your lips pursed together. C’mon, Alastor. Figure it out.
Alastor nodded.
You dragged your fingers down your face, “Would you help me with that?”
His head cocked to the side like a golden retriever being handed a book on ancient Egypt. Very nice offer but what exactly do I do with it?
“Help how, precisely?” He finally spoke, tone unchanged from any normal topic of discussion. Alastor watched your face scrunch up, mouth moving around words you abandoned half way through. You weren’t saying anything, just making panicked sounds. “I find annunciation most helpful when wanting to be understood, dear.”
You wanted to somersault out the nearest window. “Alastor will you take my virginity?”
“Take it where?”
You groaned, he laughed, “Just kidding, my dear! All in good fun. So, to be clear, you would like your first sexual experience to be with me?” He pointed the microphone from you to him.
You nodded, “Yes, please.”
His smile seemed to strain. Staring down at you, he tried to understand what your motivation was for this. But as he looked into your big, concerningly innocent eyes, he realized there was none. You really, simply, want him to be the first.
Ooh, as he thought it, he felt his pulse quicken in his lap. The first. A spot no one else could take. For the rest of your afterlife, he would always be the one who was first in you. A delicious thought. He could work with that.
“Are you free now?” He leaned down to your level.
“Oh. I wasn’t-,”
“Expecting immediacy? Perfect, the element of surprise has never failed me before.” His hand wrapped around your waist and drew you in to his chest, there was a rush of cold air over your skin before you felt yourself falling back.
It was soft, the room was dark, save for a small floor lamp in the corner. Your room, you realized.
“I didn’t know you knew my room number.”
“It’s my job to know everything about the hotel.” He said, tossing your shoes behind him. Was this happening now? Right now?
“I can do it, it’s, it’s fine.” You sat up and began undoing your pants. Alastor just standing there, watching. Smiling. Fuck, was it going to be this awkward the entire time? Should you say something? Touch him? You were lifting the hem of your shirt when you realized he was still fully dressed. “Are you going to take off your clothes?”
“Why would I do that?” Head lolled to the side.
You stopped mid-way through unhooking your bra, “Alastor you do know I was asking you to fuck me, right?”
He nodded. Maybe this was a mistake.
After taking off your bra, and finally your panties, you crawled to the top of your bed and drew your knees to your chest. Your feet hid your sex from view. Heart racing, but it wasn’t excitement, as you had anticipated. It was nerves. Would it hurt? Would you make a stupid face? What if he didn’t like the sounds you made? What if you regretted it after?
Alastor got on the bed on his knees, undoing his belt buckle but not his pants. The way he looked at you, your heart skipped a beat. You suddenly remembered he was called the ‘cannibal deer’ as you saw something akin to hunger in his eyes.
“What experience do you have?” His voice was suddenly low, deeper than before. This wasn’t the pun loving radio man you saw prodding the staff.
“I dated. Before. Kissing, um, I don’t know the bases. Groping?” You grimaced, it sounded so formal.
“Have you ever,” he began to slink toward you on his hands and knees, red eyes glowing in the dim light of your room, “been entered?”
Your cheeks burned, your head suddenly swayed as if it was half full of water and someone tipped you over. “Just myself, my,” you lifted your hand.
“Show me.”
All the air left the room, sucked out of your lungs and into his grin.
Uncrossing your feet, you tried to open your thighs without seperating your knees. It didn’t work, but you still managed to get a hand between your legs and to your entrance. You could have cried, you were soaking wet to an embarrassing degree. Your eyes return to Alastor, his gaze never leaving you. Even as you slipped a finger, then two, into yourself. You thought for sure he would want to watch your hands playing with your wet pussy but no, his eyes stayed on your face. Somehow, that was worse.
A shaky sigh escaped, your eyes closing as you tried to focus on relaxing around your digits.
Your head smacked against the headboard when you felt a third finger enter. Not yours. Your eyes flew back open to see him now directly in front of you.
“Two won’t do, dear.” He spun his finger around, pulling slightly at the thin skin of your entrance. “Unless you’d prefer this to hurt?”
You shook your head no, still stinging from the impact you had made. “May I?” His hand took your wrist and removing your fingers. Swiping your wetness from your ass to your clit, he coated his claw-like digits and pushed three back in. They were longer than yours, sharper. You could feel he moved gently, in and out. Your head was heavy, breath short and fast.
He laughed, bringing your consciousness fully back into the room, “Already wanting to change your mind?”
You shook your head side to side, still too embarrassed to speak, and took a grounding breath to help your body accept his fingers. He took his time, sliding in and out of you. His fingers picking up the slick and letting it lubricate your lips. It was so slow, the only pleasure for you was knowing it wasn’t your hand doing it.
But then his stretching of your hole stopped, and he grabbed both of your knees from underneath and pulled you down toward him. Now on your back, legs up and in his hands, you heard his belt slide through the loopholes, his zipper drop. You wanted to look, but you also absolutely did not want to look.
Your knees came together when you felt something hot and round at your entrance. “Ah-ah,” He opened them immediately. He reached for one of your hands, and brought it down to his cock. It was so hard under your fingers, but gave a little when you squeezed. It made him hiss.
“You tell me when to stop, little doe.” He pressed into your opening, pulled back. Pressed in, just barely making it past your lips, pulled back. He kept this pressing and pulling, head making slightly more leeway every time. Your fingers were holding right behind the tip.
“How about this, dear. I’ll just get the head in for now. Manageable!”
“Just— just get the big part in first?” You asked, the pressure at your entrance building with every shallow thrust.
He laughed, nodding as he held both of your knees further apart. When he attempted to get past the curve of his cock’s head, your hands flew down to press against his thigh, pushing back with the intrusion. Alastor stilled, sighed, and pressed his head fully in with a determined thrust. Instinctively, your feet came to his chest and tried to push away from him. It felt like you were being torn down the middle, your body forced apart at your most sensitive junction. He held you still now by the ankles, legs splayed in the air.
It burned where your walls were pushed aside. Stinging where the skin tore slightly just beneath your hole, unable to stretch.
“Breath, sweetheart.” He set your ankles down. “Does it hurt?”
You nodded.
“I’ll stay here for a bit,” he settled on his legs, looking down at where he was connected to you. Your pink little pussy looking positively overwhelmed by his cock. No one has ever been here before, and he could feel it. Your walls were pressing so hard against him his shaft was slightly curved from the force pushing his head out. You still had so much to take, there was so much more of you for him to explore. You tried to calm your breathing but your heart was racking against your sternum.
Hand reaching down again, you let your fingers count little paces from his core to yours. You knew the hardest part was over, but that didn’t bring much comfort as you felt how far you still had to go.
Alastor let his eyes wander away from your not-so-virgin cunt to your face. Your expression was twisted, not pained but clearly uncomfortable.
“How does it feel?” He asked, gesturing to your lap with a nod of his head.
“Full, so full.”
His cackle disheartened you, “Darling I am no where done filling you up.”
You clenched when he said it, earning a small groan from him. You were already too tight, when you spasmed on him it was nearly painful. There was more to do yet, more of you to claim as his. Just the tip of his cock was simply not enough.
His hips started moving again, the folds of his head pulling at the skin of your entrance but not actually crossing the barrier. He was gently rocking, barely making friction between you two. Your hand clawed at his knee, breath hitching. You let an airy moan slip, his head no longer an intrusion but something hot and melty barely rubbing your walls. It started to feel almost good.
Alastor’s cock was throbbing, his shaft touch-starved and desperate for the heat of your cunt. Your face was relaxing now, eyes blinking around new sensations. He wanted to see you experience more, more firsts and frighteningly foreign pleasures. He wanted to see you scared of how good he could make you feel. Alastor wanted you to never feel whole again without him buried balls deep in you.
“Can you take more?” His voice was like gravel, a radio static crackling in.
You met his eyes, glowing still in the dim light, wide and nearly frenzied in their dilation. His smile was practically beaming down at you.
“I don’t know.” You were scared to move forward, even though you wanted more.
“I don’t like liars.” A pop of electricity arcing at the end of his words. You pulled a pillow over your face, trying to hide from the reaction you knew he’d have as his voice made you tighten around him. “Your body says otherwise,” he hissed.
You wanted to say ‘yes’, if this could feel good then how great would all of him feel? But you were scared to vocalize it. Scared to make it start. Alastor lifted the pillow, “I need to see you, dear.” He set it beside his leg, “Do you remember what I said earlier?”
Brow furrowed, you shook your head. His grin widened to his ears as his hands slid down your thighs to your hips and he sank his cock to the hilt.
The element of surprise definitely made the nerves of saying ‘yes’ dissipate, but you were now choking on your breath, hands gripping at the blankets beneath you. Was this normal? Was he too far inside you? You felt nauseous, your guts prodded by Alastor’s member.
“How does it feel now?” He watched your eyes scanning the ceiling for an answer. You felt sure there was no way his head could leave you ever again. It was so snuggly fit in you, you feared you’d be pulled inside out. “Words, dear.”
You sat up on your elbows, sweating from the nerves of it all. “Like there’s a big stick stuck in me.”
“Accurate!” He laughed, and began pulling out. You whined, head dropping back. Almost taking himself out completely, he paused before thrusting back in. The head of his cock dragged against your walls, you could feel him with such detail. Every inch of him leaving impressions behind. Alastor could feel it too, how your soft warmth moved out of his way with every push. How pliable your womb was to his intrusions.
More. You could take more, he was positive of it.
Slowly, your moans began to get louder as the pressure faded into pleasure. Every time he bottomed out, you jumped. Every time he pulled out, you wanted to chase after him with your hips.
Watching your face soften, eyes now watery, Alastor was sure you were relaxed enough. He grabbed the pillow beside him, lifting your ass and sliding it under the small of your back. You didn’t ask, just waited to see what the point was. Dissatisfied, he grabbed another and added it under you.
Your hips were up, ass hanging over the ledge the pillows made, back bent upward. When he began to thrust again, you whinced feeling a new part of you widen for him. “Can you see me?” You looked at him when he said it, but he grabbed your hand and placed it beneath your belly button. When he pushed back in, you could feel his cock beneath your hand. Moving it, you watched your stomach bulge slightly when he was completely sheathed in you.
“Oh fuck-,” your head fell back into the bed, it was too much to feel let alone to watch, “Too deep.”
He hummed an acknowledgement, picking up his pace. “Let me see how you cum.”
Your face was hot, reluctantly bringing your hand to your clit and rubbing.
No, this wasn’t a mistake at all. If anything you regretted not asking sooner.
His thrusts now brought lightning to your core, your finger quickening in speed with the realization of just how good he could feel.
Studying your face still, he adjusted his angle until he saw the muscles in your neck tighten. He knew he found your g-spot, your moans dipping into cries.
“I can’t—,” You couldn’t get over the hump, knowing he was watching you, waiting for you.
“You can”, the lights flickered, his eyes now black with small red pupils illuminating your naked body, “and you will, my dear.” One of his hands stopped pressing finger sized bruises into your hips to instead push your own finger aside. The wide pad of his thumb took over and began thrumming you fast and hard.
That familiar build up of pleasure was stronger than you’d ever felt it, and when it finally snapped your muscles from your thighs to your toes cramped. How long had you been tensing?
You practically sobbed into the crook of your arm, Alastor’s hips slowing but still carrying you through your orgasm. They moved slower and slower, until stopping entirely. His head popped out of you, leaving you feeling hollow. Cold.
Eyes wet and blurry, you looked up at him, “Aren’t you going to finish?”
“If we do everything now, what ‘first’ will we have for tomorrow night? And the night after that?” He smiled, member already hidden away and pants buttoned. Your thighs twitched. “Same time tomorrow, little doe?”
You covered your face with both hands, and nodded.
His big hand came to your head and patted you gently, “Good girl.”
I hope you liked it 🥺 I don’t feel as confident about this one. Fun fact, my first time involved bondage. Very on brand, huh? 💖

Gonna start calling his dick ‘the element of surprise’. You look tired today! What happened? Oh the element of surprise kept me up all night.

sensitive | sylus
— summary: sylus gets his ears pierced. — cw: reader is not mc, fluff, silliness, self-indulgent, a little suggestive, romantic dribble, inspired by the ear-piercing scene from loveless — wc: 1.8K
You’re surprised he can even get his ears pierced, given his rapid healing ability.
Still, they look good on him—the onyx studs that take up most of his earlobes, matching his cufflinks.
You stifle a quiet laugh behind your fist as the twins crowd around him, stars in their eyes. Their body language is animated as they praise Sylus and his fashion sense. He stands amid them, akimbo, smirking like a proud dad, a chuckle in his throat.
You wonder what influenced his decision to pierce his ears.
That is until a pretty hunter pops her head into the front door behind him, her eyes creasing with mirth.
She sidles up beside you, beaming like the cat who got the cream. Pats your shoulder, and you smirk at her in your periphery, shaking your head.
Of course.
“Let me guess: this was your idea, wasn’t it?”
“I know. I’m pretty awesome, right?”
You snort over folded arms. Leave it to Emcee to manipulate your boss into doing something so drastic.
—
You can’t keep your eyes off them—his ears.
One, because you’ve always found them to be one of his most adorable features. Two, because they’ve looked more irritated than usual, burning an angry red beneath the heavy gems in his lobes.
He seems uncomfortable with them, too. Wincing in meetings when he positions himself a certain way in his seat. An occasional, barely-there sound drawn from his throat when his hair scrapes his ears. And he’s more irate than what’s typical of Onychinus’ kingpin, lashing out unprovoked or being more quiet and reserved than you’re accustomed to.
You offer him painkillers to ease the ache. Even suggested he take the earrings out a few times; his ears are clearly sensitive, and perhaps the studs are too much for them to bear.
But he waves you off with a tired smile. Reasons that they’re still healing, so he’ll just have to put up with the discomfort until then.
—
“I feel terrible,” says Emcee for the umpteenth time, fiddling with the strap of her bag as she walks beside you through the mall.
“It’s alright,” you assuage, “you wouldn’t have known. I don’t even think he knows he can’t just wear anything. You know he’s bourgeois.”
She studies her feet, remorse twisting up her features. “I know. But I picked them out, ya know? And I’m the one who talked him into getting them pierced in the first place.”
You squeeze her shoulder, a reassuring smile curling your lips. “You did good. They look good. Maybe we can find something a little less gaudy, though. Something that won’t make his ears fall off.”
Emcee snorts, nudging you. She seems to be in better spirits, taking you in with those big eyes. “Yeah. Well, hey! Let’s stop here first!”
You don’t protest when she comically drags you into a jewelry store, her somberness an afterthought.
—
You’re as quiet as a secret, thanking your years of training for making you so.
You slink into Sylus’ study, clutching a palm-sized, black box behind your back. He’s out conducting business, leaving the various trinkets and adornments of his office unprotected.
Giving the room another once over to ensure he won’t appear from the shadows—and that Mephisto isn’t around—you pad over to his desk, strewn with various papers and fountain pens.
Discreetly, you place the box on the edge near his chair where he’ll easily find it, the intricately curled scarlet ribbon catching in the ambient light. You try to make it look inconspicuous. Arrange some papers around it, fussing over its positioning before giving up.
You don’t know why you’re so nervous—it’s just your boss. Sylus, the man who isn’t afraid to sing like a metal pipe dragged over concrete in public. You’ve given him gifts before. Though you don’t think you’ve ever given him something so…personalized.
With your heart in your throat, you flee his study, praying to the powers above that he likes your present as much as you enjoyed picking it out.
—
“I wouldn’t put it past you to plant a bomb in my office,” Sylus teases.
You scoff from the opposite side of his desk. “If I wanted to kill you, I would’ve done it four years ago, bossman.”
He quirks a brow, studying you from the safety of his leather, high-backed chair. Seems to consider your words before you give him an exasperated look.
He summoned you to his office a few hours after you’d snuck in. Of course, his security system picked up everything. You should’ve known.
You watch him fiddle with the box, your chest swelling with anxiety.
“Just open the damn thing. It’s not a bomb.”
He taps his temple in that customary way, humor tugging at his lips. “That’s something that someone trying to kill me would say.”
You roll your eyes, growing impatient.
Sylus doesn’t make you wait much longer, and you watch him tug at the ribbon with bated breath. Your heart seems to stop beating as he peels the box open, and he’s stock-still when he beholds what’s inside.
He appears considerate. Quiet as his expression softens, eyes wavering between you and the box.
“Are these for me?” he queries hoarsely. Almost disbelieving.
You nod rigidly, fear and rejection coiling around your spine. You picked out hypoallergenic studs to hopefully curb his sensitivity. They’re modest yet stylish enough to complement his style.
Does he like them? Shit, does he hate them?
He chuckles something low. Something fond, and you feel it curdling in your stomach. He suddenly pushes away from his desk, and you blink rapidly, alarmed.
Sylus peers at you with a rare tenderness shining in his eyes. Expectant. “Would you like to do me the honor?”
You gape like a fish out of water, owlishly blinking before you pick up what he’s talking about. “Uh, sure?”
You inwardly kick yourself for how small you sound, how your voice cracks, and you awkwardly round his desk to stand before him, nerves wound tight. He leans back in a casual slouch, the soft mirth never leaving his handsome face whilst his eyes slide shut.
You step between his splayed legs, heat surging like molten liquid through your body. You pluck the matte box from betwixt his fingers, and you shudder when your skin meets. It’s strange; you’ve been close to him before. So why does tonight feel so…intimate?
Determined, you wet your drying lips with your tongue, pushing out a breath and resigning yourself. You bend slightly at the waist, fingers cautiously grazing over his skin to clasp one of his earlobes. You flinch when Sylus winces, a strained sound torn from his throat.
“Sorry.”
“No, no. It’s alright.” He turns his head, offering you his ear, pretty lashes fluttering beneath a slightly furrowed brow. “Keep going.”
You swallow thickly past the sand in your throat. Try again, his fingers tightly gripping the armrests of his chair in your periphery.
You feel awful. Know that his ears are still a little sensitive. But they’re soft and elastic beneath your fingers, and you’re hyper-vigilant as you remove one of his earrings.
His body tenses, legs threatening to lock around your hips as you stand between them. But he stops himself, instead giving you his other ear to repeat the process.
He seems to relax once you’ve removed both earrings, lips slightly parting with a relieved breath out. You can’t help wanting to run your fingers along the cartilage. Want to rub the pain away. Maybe sink your teeth into it.
“You’re sure this is alright?” you caution, plucking one of the studs from the box and setting said box on his desk behind you.
He nods, holding his breath, brows knitting together. You feel like you’re doing something you shouldn’t be. Touching him in intimate places with the way he bristles and lightly gasps as you carefully slot each new stud in his lobes.
You’re grateful it’s over, taking a step back to appraise your work. And dammit it all, if he didn’t look good before…
“How do they look?”
“Hot,” you reply before you can think.
Sylus chuckles at your brazenness, and the air seems to shift. An arm creeps around your waist, his massive hand finding the small of your back, its warmth bleeding through your blouse. Without warning, he tugs you closer until you stumble into him, your knee propped on the chair between his thighs.
The look he wears is predatory. His eyes shine like dwindling coals, falling to your mouth before easing up to drill into your soul.
“Wouldn’t you like a closer look?”
His warm breath fanning over your face is dizzying. The proximity of his body to yours, his chest so pleasantly rigid and hot beneath your palms, and that devastating scent he carries is a recipe for disaster. There’s no mistaking his body language, the languid stir of his eyes.
But you’re you, and this is your boss. Sure, you’ve been attracted to him for a very long time. But you’ve never acted on your infatuation, figuring he would reject you in favor of someone else. You didn’t want to muck up the relationship you’d worked so hard to construct.
So, you laugh off his flirtations, attempting to quell the thumping of your heart in your throat. “Did Emcee talk you into doing shrooms, too?”
His voice crackles like a hearth fire. “Why? Do I look like I’m under the influence?”
You catch your breath, unaware you were even holding it. “No, but you’re acting kind of…strange.”
“Am I?” His hand makes several expeditions up and down your back, his free hand falling to your waist.
You gasp, lips quivering, eyes hooded.
“If I’m making you uncomfortable, sweetheart,” he murmurs, enamored by your mouth, “feel free to tell me to stop.”
How could you when he makes you feel like this? Witless, confused, hot? The English language eludes you when a slender finger crooks under your chin, slightly tilting your head back.
Your body is under his command as he lures you closer, fully intending to kiss you. Pleasant tingles ricochet through your bones when his lips graze yours, and you’re about to abandon your inhibitions and just kiss him.
Until the door of his study flies open, the heavy oakwood cracking against the wall, and you don’t think you’ve ever moved faster, scurrying away from Sylus to stand rigidly at his side.
“Hey, bossman,” says Kieran, oblivious to what he just interrupted. “Your guest is here.”
You don’t miss the growl roiling in Sylus’ chest, and if looks could kill…
You take the opportunity to slip out of his office while he’s giving Kieran an earful about manners, and you slink against a wall in the hallway once you’re out of earshot. A lovestruck smile crests over your face, your heart pounding beneath your fist curled to your chest.
Perhaps you should invest in these heartfelt gifts more often if it means having more close calls like that with the object of your quiet pining.
