#detective conan #case closed #episode 174 #heiji hattori #shinichi kudo #conan edogawa #my gifs #long post #okay so remastered versions of episodes 174-218 came out on netflix japan the other day #and one of the *first* things i wanted to gif was this scene #it is a scene of all time #i've said it a million times #but the way that they disagree? and aren't nasty to each other about it?#the way that they challenge each other?#so good #and the stuff with the darkness and the moon is *so* aesthetic #and credit goes to hex for noticing that conan shifts into shinichi in the dark in the fourth gif here!!!!#i had watched this scene a million times but had *never* noticed that before!!#it's super hard to see in earlier releases of this episode but the remaster made it a lot clearer!#and it's just making me lose my mind!!!! that shinchi is himself in the dark...#that for maybe just a moment heiji sees his friend as he truly is...#agaghagahgahghga then i *really* wanted to gif this #the manga has shinichi in the background for that bit but an actual *transition* between shinichi and conan is so much more interesting #agh. anyway. i don't think i did this moment the best justice but gosh. scenes of all time

I'm still not entirely satisfied with the result but... well. I like it. That's enough.
