specifically about when there was scar and pearl against gem and scott. because both pearl and scott offered to sacrifice themself to give their teammate hearts.

gem takes the offer for the hearts. but scar adamantly refuses to kill pearl which ended in their favour against gem as while gem had 10 extra hearts, scar ultimately had the advantage; pearl, a second person, which meant more damage and more difficulty fighting back from gem as with attacks coming from two opponents in what way should you strike back.

so even while a gem shines with light gifted by the star, it has no power against when the earth and moon stick together
