(♡) - my personal favorites (🔞) - CONTAINS NSFW CONTENT
NEW BEGINNINGS - @ikeuverse (flirting with your brother's brother-in-law wasn't in your plans after returning from studying abroad. it wasn't something you were going to stop either since heeseung was the epitome of beauty. but when there's another woman's name in the story. what happens? you don't want to be caught between a betrayal… or so you thought.) (♡)
MARRY ME - @ikeuverse (ever since you met lee heeseung, he told you that the two of you were going to get married. all the time, at every opportunity, he reinforced it until one day, drunk, you accepted. was he dreaming or did it really happen? it wouldn't be so bad to fall for his jokes for once.)
TIDES OF REGRET - @pprodsuga (in the year since heeseung first rejected your love confession, you've tried everything to get over him. a trip to europe makes you realize you miss your former best friend more than anything, and it makes heeseung realize he's got it all wrong.) (♡)(🔞)
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER - @i2sunric (your daughter asks heeseung to tell the greatest love story of all and he takes the chance to narrate how he met you, the love of his life.) (♡)
JUNE BLOSSOMS - @soobnny (synopsis. as the month of may ends, you wonder what june holds for you and heeseung (especially with no more need to fake date.)
LATE SUMMER LOVIN' - @4am-enha (you desperately want to spend your last summer here in town with your friends, only to find out almost all of them are away on vacation. that is, all of them but heeseung. the one friend you’d never really been that close with.)
BITE ME - @drunkhazed (“I’m kind of confused still.” You admit, anxiously shuffling to sit without making eye-contact. Heeseung chuckles plopping down by your side, arm slinging back over your shoulder to keep you pressed against him.)(🔞)
COFFEE & CREAM - @ham-st4r (one chilly night after a long work shift, you’re unfortunately forced to walk home. Cause you left your bag at work, half way through your journey you stumble across a homeless man who you naturally offer money to, and he though he refuses. You give it to him anyway, and down the road, you’ll find that those two dollars changed not only his life but yours as well.) (🔞)
IT'S CUPID, STUPID - @mygnolia (To hell with Lee Heeseung, you couldn't find someone you hated more than the boy who's by your side no matter what. You figured that maybe the summer before university would be the best way to finally let go of him, and to leave the hate you have in your childhood- but no. What do you mean you have to spend ALL summer with him?)
FUCK BUDDIES - @dimepdf (y/n and heeseung and fwb after heeseung win in his football match y/n gives him the best reward)
TEETH - @gyuuberryy (you were not thrilled about the move in of your new neighbour. mostly because he was so strange and seemed to be hiding something dark. and partly because you couldn’t stop yourself from getting closer to him because of your unwanted attraction. you were determined to expose his dark secret and get rid of him once and for all. but, it was proving to be a difficult task because he was just so irresistible..and needy.)
PLAYER RANK: PLATINUM - @simpjaes (You’re not sure what’s worse, your sister’s boyfriend or your sister’s boyfriend’s friends. What you thought would be a great deal in living with her throughout college turns into a major game of cat and mouse, where you’re unsure if your moral compass is pointing in the right direction solely because you suspect someone is wearing a giant sex magnet to throw it off.) (🔞)
RUDE - @4wkjun (heeseung has never loved anyone as much as he loves y/n. y/n’s father has never hated someone as much as he hates heeseung. but it doesn’t matter, heeseung’s gonna marry y/n anyway.)
I OFFER YOU MY EVERYTHING - @heegyukeluv (You never cared about sex, until you did. You grew too afraid of it, scared of disappointing the other person or showing your inexperience. But then you met Heeseung, the hot basketball captain that stole your heart and became your biggest fantasy. ) (🔞)
VERBOTEN - @heesbaby (a bad stroke of luck saw lee heeseung, your dads coworker, moving into your small apartment until he found his feet again. emotionally unavailable and a workaholic, you were going to try your absolute hardest to make him loosen up. even if it meant breaking a few of the house rules he'd set out.) (🔞) (♡)
10 DAYS TO FALL IN LOVE - @luvyeni (you and heeseung used to be bestfriends as children — he even told you he'd marry you one day. but then you went to highschool and things changed , he dyed his hair and started hanging out with a new group group of friends. through all that his love never changed for you — has yours changed for him?)
RENT A BOYFRIEND - @jayujus (in which jeon y/n is desperate to find a boyfriend ASAP because she needs a date for her family's mixer. her best friend, ningning, introduces her to a website perfect for this situation!)

I traveled fifteen hundred miles to meet you
Maverick x daughter!reader
series masterlist
my masterlist
summary: you begin training and quickly make a name for yourself
a/n: soooo I decided to get rid of the hangman romance that I was gonna put in, and kind of wrote over the scenes as hangman x phoenix (sorry) I didn’t wanna get rid of a whole section ..
ps : sorry for the wait :’( i’ve been swamped with life stuff
warnings: PTSD, child abuse (mother- daughter), feeling unwanted, violence ? canon typical mostly, death, loss of a loved friend
The drill is simple in theory.
Shoot down Maverick, you win.
But, like your unfortunate lack of skill playing eight ball, the execution is getting there. The first team to go in is too cocky.
He gets them, easy.
Hangman and Phoenix give him a run for his money, but not by much. You’re up next, with Hangman as your wing man.
Strapping into your jet feels almost surreal. It’s an awesome feeling to be back.
It’s not until you’re in the air that the flashbacks start.
You and Hangman take off, having decided pre-exercise that you were going to try to divide and conquer: one of you as bait, the other lying in wait for Maverick to take it. You, as the pilot with the best evasive skills and maneuvers, drew the short stick as the bait in the experiment.
you know that Hangman is notorious for leaving his wingmen behind, so you’re going to be looking for chances to give him a little of his own medicine.
“Ready, team?”
You’ve become more comfortable with the notion that Maverick is your dad.
It hit you, while you were lying awake last night, that maybe you should be mad that he left. Your mom always had been angry at him, but could you really blame him for leaving the crazy woman who gave birth to you?
the answer is no, because you did the same.
“Ready when you are cap’n.” You flick on the proper controls and Hangman gives you a Shaka sign, signaling his okay.
And then you’re off.
The rush is exhilarating. It’s not until you can hear Maverick behind you and Hangman warning you that he’s on your tail and you need to shake him that the flashbacks start.
You grunt, forcing your jet up and over in a backwards barrel roll to escape Maverick’s targeting system. You begin a classic evasive maneuver, the realize he’s not even on your tail anymore.
“Majesty! he’s on me!”
“Shake him, then!”
But you follow your radar to where Hangman’s getting chased in a high speed game of tag, and readying your targeting system.
“Majesty, where are you?” Hangman shouts into the comm. You hear the familiar beeping.
He’s done.
You’re on your own.
Majesty! Keep moving! there’s still a mission to complete!
the rough voice of your former commander rings in your ears as you pull up in a steep climb, about to try a new maneuver.
(Y/n). I’m sorry. Duchess’s vitals aren’t looking good.
You metaphorically slam the breaks in your plane (which you can’t do because there are none) and let yourself free fall. It’s a special trick that you and Tae always practiced.
“What the fuck kind of maneuver was that?”
Maverick’s rough voice breaks the comms. You click your targeting system on and hit him. The beep over the comm would be music in your ears if you weren’t stuck in the past.
“Wake up! Y/n, we need to go fly before training starts!” Tae, your best friend and wingman (wingwoman?) has always been an early morning productivity person. You always joke about her absolute inability to sleep in, even when you’ve stayed up till three the night before engineering new tricks and stunts to try the next morning. “I have an idea!”
“Uh oh,” you say through a yawn, already tossing on your uniform and tying your hair back. Tae rolls her eyes, then practically sprints out of your dorm room, you got on her heels.
she collected me, up off the ground where you abandoned things
“That was some damn good flying out there,” Hangman tells you. He’s bought you your first mocktail of the night - a fancy-looking ombré concoction that Penny’s cooked up for you. “If only I’d been alive to see it.”
“Don’t you worry,” Phoenix butts in. “We all saw it, and we also all saw her hang you out to dry!” her tone is just a little too gleeful. “Now that’s something to toast to!”
“You wound me, Trace.”
You toast with Phoenix, then excuse yourself from the pilot’s table, seeking some fresh air. You’d snapped out of your flashback, but Tae’s laugh still rings in your ears. You make your way out to the deck and lean on the railing overlooking the beach and the ocean.
“You’re one helluva pilot.”
You rub your nose with your forearm.
“That’s what I keep hearing.” You close your eyes, wondering if you should confide in him or not. Probably not. He’s your instructor, not your dad.
I mean, he’s also your dad.
“whatcha drinking?” You steal a glance at your drink, which has faded to a dull pinkish orange. Maverick’s holding a bottle.
“Some kind of mocktail Penny came up with.” you take a sip of it. “I don’t drink,” you add after a moment.
“Well, you’re better than all of us, then.”
You grin and shake your head. Looking out over the water, it’s easy to forget why you’re here and be transported back to the past.
“Now that,” Tae begins, setting down her gin and tonic on the table and admiring the multicolored mocktail Penny concocted. “That is what I call a mocktail.”
You take a swig.
“See, Duchess, Apollo was wrong. Mocktails can be fun!”
“I never said they weren’t!”
This is the last night you have at top gun, and, appropriately, you’re a spending it at the Hard Deck, which is a newer bar that just opened. You’ve made fast friends with the owner and her daughter - Amelia.
You glance outside and gasp, standing up.
“Come on! look at the sunset!”
You rush out to the front deck, wide eyed and giddy at the pure beauty of the sunset. Tae trails behind, watching you watch the colors paint the evening sky.
“Can you believe it’s over?” You ask her. “No more coming to the Hard Deck, no more Apollo or Clipper, and pretty soon we’ll be deployed on the other side of the world.”
Tae sighs.
“You know what I think? I think this experience will stay with us forever. I’ll always remember the pranks we pulled on the guys and the late night beach walks. It’s like graduating high school. or the academy. This chapter of life is over, and we need to move on.”
You give her a wry smile.
“You know, you may be a dumbass ninety five percent of the time, but you do give some damn good advice.”
“Want another?”
you nod.
“You’re a damn good pilot. You’re top of the class for a reason. Don’t you ever forget that.”
you meet her eyes.
“Duchess-“
“Hey. You with me?”
Maverick snaps his fingers in your face, trying to snap you out of your daze. you shake out your neck.
“Yeah. Sorry. What were you saying?”
“I was telling you I’ve never seen a plunge like that executed correctly, and then you zoned out on me.”
You focus your gaze on a spot on the horizon.
“Yeah, uh, I was just remembering.. something.”
He looks at you, doing a once-over, face skeptical. He almost looks.. concerned? Again, you wonder, if you were in another life, would he be worried for you, his daughter, instead of you, his pilot.
“Anything you wanna talk about?”
Yes. You’ll understand. You’re probably the only one here who would.
You smile sadly.
“Goodnight, Captain.”
he filled the holes that you burned in me at six years old
The next morning, Maverick sends you all an email to wear “beach clothes you can run around in”, so you, Phoenix and Halo all put on your shorts and sports bras, and Halo puts on a t-shirt. The email also ordered you to meet in front of the Hard Deck, so that’s what you do.
You leave significantly earlier than the rest of the group specifically to see Amelia, who you still haven’t seen since coming back to the base. You tap your knuckles on the doorframe, drawing her attention. She looks at you, looks again, gasps and sprints towards you in some kind of flying tackle- hug.
“Hey!” You exclaim, squeezing her tight and spinning her around in a circle. “You got big!”
Amelia giggles into you.
“Mom told me you were back. I almost didn’t believe her.”
“Well, I couldn’t just never see my favorite tea party partner again, now could I?”
Amelia pulls away, observing you. Her eyes brighten as she remembers your tea parties from when you were in Top Gun.
“I’d forgotten about those! And Tae would bring those little cucumber sandwiches!”
Her face falls in a frown.
It’s like a sneak attack, having someone mention her in passing. You’d been up almost the whole night before trying to calm the memories that have been resurfacing since your return to Miramar.
“I miss her.”
Sometimes you forget that Tae was almost as close to Penny and Amelia as you were. She would always come with you to watch Amelia and hang with Amelia and Penny on the slow nights.
“Me, too.”
“Well, look who the cat dragged in.” Penny comes over to you from the storeroom and hugs you. She then holds you at arms’ length and looks you up and down. “Now, I know you’re busy, but tomorrow isSaturday, and I’d love for you to come for dinner like we used to.”
The unspoken with Tae beats down on you. You glance out of the window to see the rest of the squad gathered there in varying forms of swimwear. Most of the guys are wearing obnoxiously printed swim shorts, obviously wearing no shirts.
“That sounds… great. I’ll be by. Text me, okay? I have to go.” You give Amelia another squeeze and beeline out of the bar, joining the group of your fellow pilots.
Maverick’s the last to get here, wearing a white shirt and a pair of jeans, holding two footballs.
He introduces the game: dogfight football, offense and defense at the same time. It doesn’t really sound like there are very many rules in the game, only that you get touchdowns occasionally.
He also divides the teams. You and Phoenix are together, Bradley too.
And then you’re starting and you have actually no idea what you’re supposed to be doing; you never were adept at playing football.
You’ve been paired up with Hangman, who must be going easy on you, because you get past him every time, even scoring a touchdown once. About half and hour in, he strikes a deal with Phoenix.
“Okay, Trace. Here’s the deal,” he says between plays. “The next touchdown, if it’s your team, I’ll buy a round for everyone the next time we all go out.”
“okay,” Phoenix glance at your team. You’re all looking pretty skeptical, as you should. “What’s the catch?”
“I my team gets the next touchdown…” he drags out. He leans in and whispers in her ear. Her face breaks into a cautious smile.
“Deal, Bagman, but I’m just warning you, that’s an awful deal on your part.”
He shrugs, flashing you a perfect smile.
The next touchdown goes to Halo, who’s on Hangman’s team, and everyone turns expectantly to him, wondering what the bet was. He walks up to Phoenix, dips her and presses his lips to hers.
You let out a wolf whistle. She breaks the kiss and flips you off before pulling Hangman in for another one.
Coyote’s making a point of covering Bob’s eyes. Rooster has a hand over his mouth, pretending to retch and you jog over to him, patting him on the back, face splitting in a smile.
Penny shares a look with Maverick as they watch the two young people kiss. She’s smiling, and that makes him smile.
“What do you think of her, now that you’ve flown with her?”
She nods at the pilot in question.
There’s so much he can say about her: smart, confident, thoughtful. Reckless and sassy and a little bit too stubborn. She’s talented, anyone can see that, maybe even the best on the squad, but she’s holding back.
She’s hesitant to fly with anyone but herself, even leaving her comrades out in the open in favor of shooting down the enemy, which is surprising, considering her most recent deployment.
Her deployment. He finally got around to looking into that, the incident that sent her into leave for more than half of the last year.
The report had been brief: routine patrol, they had gone to investigate a distress signal, not enough ammo or fuel. Someone detonated a missile too close. Duchess went down. Majesty took down three bandits in the span of five minutes before her aircraft was too damaged to continue flying.
There had been no saving duchess. she was waterlogged and impaled with a scrap of metal before Majesty was even there to save her.
Very, very traumatic.
It reminds him of Goose.
he’s surprised she’s even willing to fly at all after that.
“In all seriousness?” Maverick looks out over the game. She’s awful at football. Can’t throw a spiral. “She’s a good kid. Even better pilot. She’s been the closest to finishing the course out of all of them.”
She glances over at the two of them, waving to penny before jumping for the ball.
“She reminds me of you,” Penny tells him. “You’re more similar than either of you know.”
Admiral Kazansky, AKA Iceman has been a mentor to you since the beginning. He’d taken a liking to you and your reckless flying when you’d first joined the Naval academy. Said you reminded him of a friend of his. You’d always thought he meant his wingman, and he had, but more recently, you’d realized that his wingman was the one and only Maverick, AKA Pete Mitchell, AKA your dad.
You knock on the door and his wife lets you in. Her eyes are red and puffy.
“Sarah…” you say, hugging her. “It’s back?”
she shakes her head.
“we don’t know. he can’t even talk without the pain coming back.”
You squeeze your eyes shut.
“Maybe I shouldn’t-“
“He’s in his office,” she tells you gently. “You know he always wants to see you.”
You purse your lips, smiling tightly.
“Thanks, Sarah.”
You ease the door to Ice’s office open, He turns to face you. He’s paler, gaunter, and wearing an overcoat and a scarf. you know enough to know he’s not doing well.
“Hey, Ice.”
He points at the seat across from him.
Right. He can’t talk.
“I had to see you.” You sit down and reach into your purse. “Kevin sent me this.”
You pull out the wrinkled, folded photograph and hold it out to him. His shaky hands pull it taut as he squints at it. You hold your breath, waiting for some kind of surprise to show on his face. Something, anything.
“Did you know? Is that why you kept me around?”
Your voice shakes uncontrollably. Like most things recently, you want to be angry, but you just don’t have the strength or conviction anymore. You just want to know.
Ice hands you the photo back and types on the computer.
Yes.
No.
your breath catches.
“How long?”
Since we met.
You sigh shakily.
“Why? why didn’t you tell me?”
Ice stares at you.
You stare back.
“How long did the doctor say you have?”
Weeks.
You gnaw at your lip.
“I don’t want to lose you, too.”
You’re not going to.
You shake your head, wiping under your eyes, trying to stop the tears from falling.
Losing Ice hurts. He’d always been there for you when you needed to talk. Even now, when he can’t use his voice.
He clears his throat.
“Tell… him.” His voice is raspy and wet. It grates on your ears like it must on his throat.
you nod vigorously.
“I will. I just… I want him to like me, you know? before he feels obligated to, I mean.” you stare at the picture of the two of them on Ice’s desk. “I don’t even know if he’d be happy to know.”
He will.
there’s a soft knock on the doorframe. It’s Maverick. Of course it is.
You grip Ice’s hand.
“Looks like your next appointment is here.” Your laugh is wet. “Bye, Ice.”
You nod to your father as you leave. his brow is furrowed in confusion, but he nods back.
Penny and Amelia’s house is one thing in North Island that’s always stayed the same. the smell of candles burning constantly, amelia’s artwork hanging on the walls, (which, admittedly, has gotten a lot better over the last few years) and the little bits of clutter scattered around the house.
You’ve dressed up a bit, put on some makeup and washed all the gel out of your hair for the occasion. when you get there, Amelia drags you to her room almost before you can say hello to penny.
“Okay. Where’s the fire?” You tease, once the door is shut and you’re sitting on Amelia’s bed. She’s giddy in anticipation to tell you her news.
“I have tea,” she whispers conspiratorially. You lean in.
“Lay it all out for me.”
“Mom had Mav over last night.” her tone is smug. She’s obviously very happy to be able to tell you this news. “He tried to sneak out but I caught him. And,” she looks around and lovers her voice even more. “He’s coming over for dinner tonight!”
“No!”
“yes!”
“That’s crazy.”
It’s crazy that you literally keep running into him. It’s not like you’re avoiding Maverick, per se, but you still don’t know how to break the news to him.
Hey man, great lesson today. Oh, by the way, I’m the daughter you didn’t even know you had because my mom ran away when she found out she was pregnant. Yeah, I know it’s fucked up. If I was on good terms with her I would ask why, but she only calls me when she’s drunk.
That’d go over well.
Amelia crosses her arms.
“That’s my tea. Now, tell me yours. Tell me about Top Gun.”
You look around her room. She repainted the walls a shade of yellow that you love. There are pictures hanging on the walls. One, a big one over her desk, is your favorite picture: a selfie you took of you, Amelia and Tae when you took her to Malibu to learn to surf.
“I love that picture,” you admit. Amelia nods, getting up to remove it from the wall. “Top Gun’s… not the same without her. Nothing is.”
Amelia’s always been wise for her age.
“I see her everywhere. I mean, I know I don’t, but I do.”
You smile tightly.
Grief sure is strange. Even Amelia feels the loss of Tae heavily.
There’s a soft knock on the door.
“Girls! dinner!”
“What were you two talking about in there that was so important I couldn’t be part of the conversation?” Penny asks over the steak she’s prepared.
“Oh… nothing…” you take a sip of water.
“Just how Y/n’s in looooooooove,” Amelia singsongs.
You shoot Amelia a dirty look.
“We were actually talking about how the two of you have been canoodling.”
Maverick stops, his fork hanging in midair. Penny’s expression is priceless.
“Yeah, I mean why else would Mav be invited to Saturday dinner?” Amelia asks. You nod along with her sagely.
“This used to be a girls night,” you explain to him. “When Duchess and I were in Top Gun.”
“ah,” is all he says.
You pat your pocket, remembering the gift you had brought for Amelia and Penny.
“Actually, we were just talking about how Tae and I would take Amelia out on the weekends,” you tell Penny. “And I just remembered I brought this for you guys.”
You take the strip of photos from your pocket. It’s a photo booth strip from a long weekend taken to Disney. All four of you are smushed into the booth, wearing matching Minnie ears, leaning into each other and grinning.
“I have a copy, so you keep that.”
Penny admires it, sad smile forming on her lips. Amelia peeks over her shoulder, grinning. You avoid Tae’s eyes. They used to pierce you. The still do.
“I’d like to toast.” Penny raises her glass, setting the strip down. “To new beginnings.”
“to new beginnings,” you agree.
You don’t get very far into dinner before your phone rings. You decline the call. five seconds later, it’s ringing again.
Decline.
“Do you need to take that?” Mav asks (he’s gotten you to stop calling him sir, finally.) and you shake your head.
“It’s my mom. Hang on.”
Penny and you share a look. She raises an eyebrow. you shake your head.
Nothing to worry about.
You’re suddenly very hot as you excuse yourself from the table. you’re not quite out of the kitchen when you pick it up.
“Mom?”
“Y/n? Is this my disappointment of a daughter?”
you sigh into the phone, staying silent. Her jab sends tears welling up in your throat. Spending time with Amelia and Penny has always reminded you of the mother you could’ve had.
“Where’s your deposit? Where’s the money you owe me for giving you life and a roof over your head?”
You hurry to ease the door shut. The deposit. Goddamn. She’s sober enough to remember it. Ever since you moved out, you’ve been wiring her deposits every month to make sure she keeps living. You’d hoped it was enough to send her to rehab, but she refused to go.
“The deposit?” you say faintly, heart dropping.
Her voice gets thin and screechy over the line. You can’t bring yourself to pull the phone away from your ear as she spits barbs at you. You cover your mouth to muffle the wet sobs escaping your throat.
“You never wanted what’s best for your family! You left me for the Navy. You’ve never done anything right and that girl - Tae - died because of it.”
She’s never gone there before.
And you’ve never had anyone lay it out for you.
“Mom. mom. mom, stop!” You gasp out. “Everything I’ve done if for you! The money, the house, I stayed. For you!”
You don’t hear the porch door swing open.
“I didn’t owe you anything! I never did! I didn’t ask for you to have me!”
Your mother begins to argue with that, that you forced her to have you. You cut her off with a gut wrenching cry.
“I JUST WANTED YOU TO LOVE ME!”
You tear the phone from your ear and slam your thumb on the red button.
“Y/n.”
Penny.
You drop your phone, defeated. Penny reaches out hesitantly and uses her fingers to wipe your cheeks.
She’s hugging you and you’re crying before you can even know what’s happening.
To new beginnings.
begged you to want me, but you didn’t want to.
“Rooster.”
he’s pissed, drinking his second bottle.
“Rooster.”
You sit down next to him.
“What do you want?” he snarls. You gingerly put your hand on his shoulder.
“Are you okay?”
He leans into your hand. You sigh.
“Phoenix and Bob are gonna be okay. I went to see them before I came here. They’re not injured. Just shaken up.”
He slams his bottle on the table. You finch away.
“Did Maverick send you?”
“what? No.”
Surprisingly, it had been Hangman who told you that Rooster was sulking in the Hard Deck. He’d seemed worried about him, so you went to check up on him.
“He likes you, you know. Thinks you’re a good pilot.”
“I am a good pilot.” You nudge his shoulder. “But so are you. So are Phoenix and Payback and Coyote.”
“He pulled my papers, you know. So he must not think I’m that good.”
You hesitate. this has always been a sore subject for Rooster. Saying the wrong thing could result in making it worse- not better.
“He flew with your dad, right?”
Rooster rubs his face and takes another swig from his bottle.
“Yeah. But I’m not my dad. He thought I’d-“
“Maybe he was just scared, you know? Maybe he cared so much for you that he didn’t want to lose you.”
If he had known that you were his daughter, would he have pulled your papers, too? Or would he have wanted you to be like him, be a pilot in the Navy?
“whose side are you on?” Rooster snaps. “You’re saying the same things I’ve heard my whole career. No one thinks the great Maverick could make a mistake, I guess.”
“that’s not what i’m saying, Bradley!” you take a deep breath. “Like it or not, he cares about you. You’re the closest thing to a -“
You cut yourself off, because, strictly, Rooster isn’t the closest thing he has to a child that he has. You gulp back the words.
“Y/n? Are you okay?”
“Can I… tell you something? But you have to swear not to tell anyone else.”
“I won’t,” Rooster promises. You hold out your pinky, and he stares at it. You raise your eyebrows at him. he looks around, no doubt making sure there’s no one who would make fun of him for pinky swearing, and interlocks his pinky with yours.
You reach into your pocket, retrieving the wrinkled, folded picture and hand it to him.
“That’s my mom,” you say, pointing to the woman. “and that…”
“That’s Maverick!” Rooster looks triumphant in his revelation. “So, what, Mav dated your mom?”
“No! Well, yeah, but that’s not what i was trying to tell you. Look at the date on the picture.”
Rooster squints and brings the paper closer to his eye.
“Wait. That’s..”
“twenty six years ago, and ten months after that was taken, I was born.”
Rooster drops the picture, mouth falling open. He’s staring at your face, no doubt picking out features reminiscent of Mav’s. You shift uncomfortably.
“What. The. Fuck.”
“I know!”
“Does he know?”
You hesitate. He might. There’s been a lot on his plate, though, and your last name could be forgettable if they only dated a couple of months twenty some years ago.
“No. I don’t think so.”
Roosters eyes widen.
“Wait so I can’t tell anyone?”
he groans when you nod.
“Y/nnnn you can’t just dump this on me and tell me I can’t tell anyone! That’s too much pressure!”
You snap your fingers in his punting face.
“You listen to me, Bradley Bradshaw. If you tell a single person I will hunt you down and slice you into tiny pieces and then cook you and let Hangman feed you to his horses.”
You cackle at the pure, unadulterated fear in his eyes. “That’s right. I remembered your deathly fear of horses, bitch!”
He’s pale, but his face breaks into a smile.
“I’m glad you’re back to normal, Majesty. You had me scared there for a second.”
You know what he means. Since Tae died, for a while, you had no will to do anything or see anyone- in other words, you were super duper depressed. Lately, you’ve felt lighter, like you can laugh and smile again without feeling guilty.
Here’s to new beginnings.
disclaimer: I know absolutely nothing about how planes work or flying or anything like that

Some Mirialan Designs im cooking up for a non important character, the rest will be in the design bank for later.
Yeah my values look rough (shit) but i was actually trying to plot an outfiit
.
I would love some feed back constructive or not and tell me which best fits his purpose
So he is meant to be the former lover of an oc who actually matters, named Noct. We’ll call this guy Bich because that ‘s what he is (this is a placeholder) So he and Noct boinked and he got pregnant (he’s a trans man). Now this is where it gets yummy. Bich decided to have the kid because he is a local politician/diplomat with a good reputation but a fair amount of enemies. Word of him having an abortion will tarnish his reputation. So he took “a sabbatical” to have this kid. Noct wasn’t aware that he was even pregnant until he randomly showed up one day and was like “I cant keep this thing”
Also Bich is a married man with a family already, however he didn’t tell Noct about that either. And Noct doesnt figure it out cause he’s a clone (post war) and he doesn’t care about politics much. In Bich’s defense his marriage was arranged however he and his partner have not agreed on an open relationship. So he dump’s the kid off with Noct and leaves some hush money.
He was drawn to Noct because he didnt who Bich was. A chance for him to be himself and actually fall in love. Unfortunately it was omly temporary,,, and thats all i got. SO PLEASE FEED BACK WOULD BE SPECTACULAR.
TYSM FOR READING IFMYOU DID, IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME

Old headcanons about Genesis's parents and childhood
They were former workers of Shinra. Both worked with documents so know about "sensitive" subjects and, of course, about projects. Not a lot, but for Shinra it's enough
They'd loved each other, but after all years it was hard to say they were together because of feelings or just because they didn't think about other options
Genesis' mother had… a difficult character. Heavy. Nervous, hysterical, accepting only her own opinion.
Genesis's father was a passive man who preferred not to argue, but at the same time possessed big conceit.
Genesis' mother really wanted a child, but, unfortunately, nothing worked out. She was barren. And inconsolable.
So when the opportunity to get Shinra's unwanted child came, she was really happy.
She literally clung into him and not quite a healthy maternal instinct immediately divided the whole world into a "son" and "everything else."
Her husband wasn't happy. He didn't want this child. This was the result of the experiment. Failed experiment. He wanted to continue his bloodline, the blood of his blood. But he didn't want to argue with his wife or get into a fight with Shinra.
So the cash monthly payments and the eternal position of the head of the village became acceptable compensation for the fact that they will babysit this child.
Genesis' mother didn't care about money in general, but she also thought it would be good. Money is important.
Unfortunately, Genesis was a very sickly child. He constantly cried, choked, and was on the verge of death. His mother didn't leave him, spent sleepless days and nights, and took care of him. This shattered her nervous system even more. She was so afraid of losing her precious son.
But she had dealt with it, and at the age of three Genesis was a normal child. He fell ill easily, so she tried to limit him from the world and keep him under her control, but in general, everything was… fine.
I repeat, she sincerely loved him and saw her whole world in him. But, unfortunately, this is the kind of motherly love that brings more bad than good.
Father didn't care. He resigned himself to the existence of a child in the house, because of the pressure of his wife, he began to get used to the idea that this is a "son" and tried to pay as much attention as needed so that scandal wouldn't happen. But he remembered, always remembered, who was "son".
Also, he didn't like that he was together with the whole world outside the thoughts of his wife.
Mother also didn't forget. She didn't forget that there is always a risk that something will go wrong, that her treasure will be taken from her.
Genesis grew up in a strange environment. His mother adored him, bought everything that was needed, and said how wonderful, special, the best he was, but at the same time, she did not let him run around in the yard and fall on his face in the snow. How can you be the best if you can't do what the boys do in the yard? Why can't you climb the tallest tree?
And mother had always been TOO much. But father almost remained out of his life. And Genesis desperately wanted his attention. He wanted to play with his father, and get praise from him so he would say what his mother repeated several times a day. Sometimes he got "well done", or "great", but it always felt… not enough.
One day, Genesis made a model of Shinra's technique out of paper, the scheme of which he saw in an old magazine. He was so hoped that his father would be impressed and ask to show how he did it. Genesis was genuinely proud. But her father did not even notice her when he sat down at the table.
It wasn't just that. On one of his birthdays, his father even didn't appear due to business. It was a really painful day. Heartbroken day. The day when Genesis stopped trying to find the way to his father's heart. And it was a time when Genesis ran away from home and cried among the trees, where he was found, consoled, and listened to by Angeal.
Mother Genesis didn't like Gillian and her son. She saw them as a threat.
But she resigned. She resigned herself to her son's friendship with Angeal, to his desires, to his dreams. But that doesn't mean she's stopped prying into his affairs (hello fan clubs). Genesis could successfully protest, threaten, and escape from her custody. But that meant she just needed to be quieter.
Well, she didn't crazy, lol. She became calmer, and (because) Genesis successfully protected personal boundaries. But she knew she was always right and she should be ready for all for her son. Just it.
The story had a sad end :( You knew it…

I'm once again making myself sad about that pirate thing yehaw
<3
Toi'uhla and zer newly found sibling return to Cu'Liona to confirm if Jikal is truly who ze looks to be. Lorinuses always remember their chicks chirps no matter the time, and they retain the ability to make their own well into adult hood. so Asu'uhla would be able to recognize zer if ze was one of the stolen chicks.
Toi'uhla wants to go too, since they might be family despite everything that's happened between zer and Asu'uhla. Which means Lordakai goes because he doesn't trust Asu'uhla to not pull some shit, and so does Eri because they get really upset and stop eating if their father and dam are both away for too long.
They arrive and Lordakai sends a greeting party to demand a conference with Asu'uhla. Says he and Toi'uhla must speak to zer about an urgent family matter.
Jikal is nervous, they don't know if they want the suspicions to be true or not.
Eventually the three of them go down to greet Asu'uhla just beyond the port, Guards readying and keeping an area private and somewhat free of onlookers.
They have a few of the pirates with them and Jikal is wrapped up to keep their feathers hidden until they feel ready to greet Asu'uhla. Surrounded by lorinuses they really are distinct. Of the hundreds ze can see, only ze and Toi'uhla have pink feathers in their crests.
The start of the conversation doesn't go well, Lordakai rages and tells zer ze should be greatful he hasn't killed zer. Ze destroyed his clutch. Toi'uhla gets him to calm down a bit and greets Asu'uhla coldly. Barely any less agrivated and angry than Lordakai. But ze knows Eri is safe, and so long as ze focuses on that ze can stand to look at zer dam without wanting to wretch.
Asu'uhla eventually snaps and asks why they're even here.
Toi'uhla introduces Jikal, and tells Asu'uhla they found zer while sailing.
And Jikal comes forward, and Asu'uhla can't believe zer eyes. Jikal tells zer when ze and zer siblings were taken, but ze doesn't know which flock ze belongs too or who zer parents were. Ze jokes that it's silly... but would Asu'uhla be willing to hear zer? just in case appearances are the truth?
Asu'uhla encourages it. And Jikal feels stupid chirping like a chick, but Asu'uhla needs to be cought, zer knees going weak as ze begins sobbing. and clinging to zer long lost chick and returning the call. Jikal is just as emotional, and holds zer through it. Ze's found zer family.
After a moment Asu'uhla reaches out to Toi'uhla and asks ze join the hug. Ze knows Toi'uhla will never forgive zer, but ze needs zer chicks together in zer arms at least once.
Toi'uhla has to bite back a response about how ze too would love to hold zer lost chicks. but ze obliges for a moment to let them both pretend this wasn't a mess.
Lordakai says what Toi'uhla was thinking when they part, and asks if Asu'uhla is going to pull some miracle out of zer ass and reveal his cubs weren't destroyed while they were still in the egg. He would quite like a tearful reunion with his young too you see.
Lordakai acknowledging it had Toi'uhla tearing up, and turning away from zer kin to go to him for the comfort ze needed in that moment. Lordakai hugged zer and cracked that little bit himself. He never let himself publicly mourn what was taken from him, but it was hard to hold back all of that grief masquerading as rage sometimes.
"We should go." Toi'uhla says before ze can embarrass zerself too publicly
"No! Please, stay a few days at least," Asu'uhla had never once believed Toi'uhla wanted those eggs. but zer almost breaking down over them these years later... Lordakai, the monster himself having to turn away to hide that he's on the verge of tears thinking about that clutch...
"We will not." Toi'uhla said firmly.
"A celebration is in order, I want you there Toi'uhla... He may attend too. I... It pains me to say this, But i will not stand between you two while the celebrations are under way, if you stay. Please,"
"No." Lordakai said, "I have no interest letting you use me and my love for zer as a Bargaining chip, We will be leaving. We have far more important matters than you to attend."
"Is this because of your chicks? From the second clutch I mean. They are welcome too. More than. I... I am greatful to have my chicks together again, but i would do anything to meet my grand chicks."
"They Arnt Yours." Lordakai snaps, "You have no right or claim to them after you slaughtered their elders. And Fuck, How Dare you think either of us Stupid enough to let you near them. Say your pretty words Beg and Cry, I don't fucking care. I'm not letting another of my cubs fall to you."
Toi'uhla doesn't speak up, Lordakai voiced zer own anger better than ze could even as ze shook with them. Ze starts crying, fully against Lordakai's chest. and he was his raging in an instant to comfort zer, apologizes for yelling and holds zer close, Putting himself between his mate and zer dam. His love for zer unmistakable to any willing to see it, and zer's for him too.
Jikal speaks up. "A compromise then? You two stay on the ship, and come to shore for the celebrations and then return to your ship. No staying anywhere you don't feel safe... No bringing you know who to shore if you aren't positive you are ready for them to meet."
"It can be arranged," Asu'uhla hates the idea of leaving zer chick with the monster that stole her away. Was Toi'uhla not even allowed a few nights of respite from him?
Lordakai visibly bristles. Toi'uhla is struggling against sobs.
"It would mean a lot to me, Toi'uhla," Jikal says quietly. It was a lie. Ze wanted more time with zer sibling and ze wanted more time with their dam. Ze didn't want Toi'uhla to be miserable to achieve it, or to stir up this vat of bad blood they clearly had going.
"Fine." Toi'uhla spits. "but," ze looks to see dam, "If you speak a single word against my husband, or our family I'm gone. I won't come back."
Asu'uhla agrees.
---
They argue about Eri's name, Asu'uhla demanding to know why Toi'uhla would break tradition just to saddle Eri with a name that carried so much ugliness. Only for Toi'uhla to snap that there's nothing ugly about zer husband's and child's name
---
On a stormy night Asu'uhla tells Jikal and Toi'uhla about their sire. Jikal tells them everything ze can remember about the other two stolen chicks. And eventually Toi'uhla talks about Eri... And Yandoli and her siblings too.
---
It's the last day. Jikal will be staying with Asu'uhla for the time being. Learning the ways of lorinus life and recovering from zer past.
But Asu'uhla asks one last time to be allowed to see Eri.
Lordakai relents under the condition that he be holding Eri, and they be on the ship when the meeting happens.
Asu'uhla agrees and a time is set for zer to board and meet zer grandchild.
Eri is in Lordakai's lap, happily playing with him when Asu'uhla arrives.
They talk about Eri and Asu'uhla is enchanted by them. their babyness being even cuter because of their relatively massive size.
Asu'uhla asks if they were the only one. And Toi'uhla tells zer something ze has been keeping to zerself since Eri hatched.
Only Eri's egg hatched. They were the runt... Zer first clutch had all been tiny compared to the second Smaller than Eri's egg even. The chances they would have hatched had Asu'uhla not Destroyed them was high.
Lordakai needs to excuse himself. he doesn't like Eri seeing him angry. Eri toddles after him anyways until Toi'uhla corrals them back to where they had been sitting.
Asu'uhla asks ze be allowed to hug Eri. and Toi'uhla relents.
They embrace and the magnitude of what Asu'uhla did finally hits zer.
"I though he raped you, that those eggs were curses."
"He didn't. He's Never laid an unkind hand on me, not since the first day we met." Toi'uhla has to swallow back old hurt, "I wouldn't have sat a nest I didn't want. and I wouldn't have hidden my second so thoroughly if I didn't fear to lose them as well. Lordakai didn't even know Lorinus eggs needed warmth. It would have been easy to say they failed on their own. But I wanted them. Lordakai wanted them.
the flood gates were open "He's been nothing but a good partner and loving father. and it didn't matter how many times I told you I loved him, that i was glad to have my nests by him and had forgiven him for the mess that was that first early part of our relationship. And you didn't listen to a Word of it. You decided I didn't love my mate. That I gave him clutches I didn't want, and spent time with him only to soothe his ego. And you killed my chicks because of it. "
"I- Sorry isn't enough,"
"It's not. It won't give Eri their siblings back. It won't let me hold my firsts. or fix what you decided to break."
"But?"
"But nothing. I owe you no forgiveness." Toi'uhla said harshly. "What did Lordakai say? 'Beg and cry I don't care'? You will always be my dam, but I can't look at you without seeing my destroyed nest. Tell Eri Goodbye. You won't see zer again unless I'm dead."
"Will I see you?"
"Not If I have any say," Toi'uhla says firmly, "I was here for Jikal not to fix what you broke."
"Write me, please. Even if it's just to tell me your hate. It kills me to not know if you are dead or alive." Ze let's go of Eri, "I'm sorry, I- Good bye, My chick."
Asu'uhla leaves, and Toi'uhla holds Eri tight. The crew who eavesdroped still giving zer space until Lordakai returned and took them both back to his cabin.
Asu'uhla gets a letter a few years later. Written in messy childish handwriting.
'My name is Erifolda Lordakai the 3rd. But daddy calls me Birdy, I like being called that. My dam says you are zer dam. And that you love us. Ze says we won't meet, but I can write you if I want.'
#this family is a mess#also Asu'uhla should be greatful ze got this much and before anyone asks how Asu'uhla got away with destroyimg the eggs:#Ze is a duke. Lordakai is a pirate. Toi'uhla is a lord#Toi'uhla and Lordakai met when Lordakai took zer to hold for ransom#and Boy Howdy is Lordakai good at making himself seem wretched.#it got him his money but unfortunately he did fall in love with his former captive so things got... messy

When you sleep with a friend and stop, do they become a stranger or do you remain friends? How about when you find yourself slowly falling in love with them? Are they still a friend to you?
Let me rephrase it: do they become the one that got away as they didn’t feel the same, or do they become a bump in the road you pave over because you feared the new emotions that came with this arrangement? You feared the vulnerability, the pain, the overwhelming realization that maybe, just maybe, you loved them too — and afraid you couldn’t deliver.
No one knows. Only you.
Only you and the person you let yourself be intimate with.
Unless you remained quiet that is.
Jake never thought he’d find himself indulging in the very same activities he looked down upon, not quite interested in sleeping around with just about anyone. However, his whole perspective changed when Sinu gave himself up to the Workers.
The pressure of raising money to buy him back, on top of the monthly fees Gun had for him, started to weigh on him. He needed some way to release some pent up stress, some way to forget about the world, and let himself unwind for a bit. His own hand just didn’t feel the same as a woman did - no, a pussy and hot mouth felt so much better around his dick and he knew that. Question is: who is he gonna choose?
Most girls in his life already found him handsome, hanging off his arm as they placed a hand on his chest, batting their eyelashes at him with a sickly sweet smile. He slept with a few but in the end, they always got attached too quickly, thinking that perhaps they were the one to change him. However, Jake Kim can’t be chained down, can't leave this life behind, and he knew love would only hurt him in the end. Thus, he closed off his walls and remained a reserved, but charming young man.
But you…? You weren’t quite like the girls he slept with.
First off, you were known as Sinu’s girl – his beloved that he unfortunately left behind and lied to before his departure. That title alone was enough to make anyone back off. However, not everyone knew your delicate but complicated relationship with the former leader.
To Sinu, you were merely a placeholder, a replaceable figure he could fuck whenever he pleased.
To you, just another man who knew a thing or two on how to make a girl scream from absolute ecstasy.
Did you two love each other? That question would remain unanswered, as you would never admit it and Sinu would never reveal it – wherever he is. Yet, you two were still close and had a civil relationship, almost like two friends.
It was a relationship everyone respected and didn’t dare break apart.
So, why did Jake seem to sway the moment you came to him, teary eyed, and needing comfort after a rough night?
Why did he seemingly wilt when your arms wrapped around his torso, getting a strong whiff of your fresh floral perfume, and placing a hand on the small of your back? The small sobs that left you tugged at his heart strings, not used to seeing such a strong girl break down.
Why didn’t he stop you when you dragged him to a nearby motel, pushing him onto the bed and pressing your lips against his?
Why didn’t he put a stop to any of it?
Perhaps, maybe because he wanted to unwind and he found the perfect person to let himself be loose with. Two souls who needed an outlet to release the tension and forget about their lives. This opportunity was perfect — and Jake didn’t hesitate to grab it either.
It was that night he found the very reason Sinu had grown addicted to your body, why the older man seemed to be practically glowing with a bounce in his step every morning, why no matter how tense a situation presented to him was, he always seemed to be more relieved some time later — you were absolutely wonderful in every way. From the way you seemed to touch a chord inside him, to how you called out for him while he rearranged your insides, from the aftermath of how soft your hands were against his rough, scarred skin.
It’s all so nice.
All so gratifying and relieving, he didn't want to change it.
The arrangement has been going on for nearly a year now, and Jake can never get tired of seeing your pretty face with a mouth full of his thick cock.
Jake ran his hand through the soft [H/C] locks, knotting his fingers into your tresses and tugging harshly, forced his throbbing shaft down even deeper into your throat, shutting his eyes as the choking vibrations added to the pleasure of having his dick in your hot mouth. His abs tightened as he rocked his hips, muttering incoherently and keeping you still whilst he gave slow but short rough thrusts. You gagged, grasping onto his thick thighs, feeling how they flexed with every movement.
The memories of riding his thigh while in the storage unit of Big Deal passed through your mind. The very thought made you clench your own thighs together, moaning around his cock as the risk of getting caught made the experience all the more fun.
Of course, now was a little different, in the privacy of the trailer he used as his temporary office. The door remained locked and the blinds were drawn, closed to hide the contents from inside the small space. Jake stood in the middle of the trailer, pants mid-way down his thighs with his boxers hastily pushed down enough to let him pull out his dick. You, on the other hand, were on your knees in a cute pair of light-washed jeans and loose long-sleeve. You made it your mission to make the man cum before his meeting with Big Deal in five minutes. Even though it's been nearly three minutes, that didn't deter you from giving up.
You're pulled from your thoughts as Jake whispered your name, his voice broken and hoarse. He tilted his head back, chest rising and falling quickly in a rhythmic pattern as he began to rut into you, pumping his cock in and out of your mouth, forcing your head down into his pelvis as he bruised the back of your throat. With the new position, you still attempt to hollow your cheeks and hum, flattening your tongue and swirling it as best you could. The sudden tremor and firm strokes make the man let out a deep moan, gasping as his thrusts turn sloppy.
Even when he was throat-fucking you, you always surprised Jake with your determination to make him unload from your mouth alone.
The familiar coil began to wind and tighten in his lower half with every roll of his hips, the sound of you gagging and moaning around him fueling him to go faster. He wanted this moment to last forever, but holy fuck, he can't. Fuck, he can't wait with the way you keep flicking your tongue. He can't hold back with the overwhelming warmth and tightness of your throat.
Goddamnit-
His hips stutter and he stills, shooting thick white ropes of hot cum down your throat, ignoring the way you gripped his thighs, trying to push him away. It isn't until you dig your nails into his leg that he snaps out of his trance. Right, you need to breathe. He mumbles a small apology incoherently, slowly pulling out, and watching with a flushed face as you swallow every drop. With a sigh of content, you look up at him with a dazed look, smiling with swollen, dripping lips.
God, how he loved that smile.
He wanted to see it on your pretty face all the time whenever you looked at him.
But Jake knew that’d never happen.
He could tell the difference between a genuine smile and a fake one from a mile away. Afterall, he was a master in the arts.
Damnit.
He never wanted to fall in love.
He never wanted to feel the way he does for you, so weak and restless. So fervent and desperate to the point it scares him.
Everytime you meet up, it starts and ends the same. He never regrets it – no, never – but he wishes it would change and he doesn't have to leave the same night or the following morning.
His body burns as he thrusts into you, feeling the reliving sensation of your velvet walls wrapping around him once again, sucking him in so greedily that he can’t help but bury his face into the crook of your neck. Hot breath fans against your skin, the soft grunts of the boy reaching your ears as he slowly rolls his hips, the flush tip of his cock giving a kiss to your cervix.
How is he supposed to pretend you’re nothing but another one of the girls he brings home when you are the one he dreams of late at night?
When did the tables turn? You’re the one supposed to be vying for his attention, not him. God, it’s supposed to be the other way around! He’s not sure when the change occurred, but it’s too late now.
You have him wrapped around your finger like a lovesick fool, who’s willing to drop everything if it meant you were waiting for him in his room. Almost as if he were entranced into an fantasy, where he’s on his knees in a suit of armor and waiting for your warm voice to call out for him, ordering him to please her body — like a knight who devoted their entire heart and soul to serve their Queen if it meant she would be happy.
He’s checking his phone every few minutes diligently, waiting for that call that she misses him, a lie that rolls off so easily from her tongue, a lie he can’t help but hope there’s some truth behind as he drives to the hotel. With every quick turn, he presses the gas pedal, gripping the wheel as he races to get as fast as possible to the apartment complex to finally be by your side.
Jake can’t pretend anymore.
For the first time in years, he finds himself finally accepting that his heart is caged by a stranger. A stranger he let himself fall hopelessly in love for, with no promise she feels the same.
A stranger who belonged to the very man he’s trying to save.
And with every phone call you make to him, he answers knowing the moment he tries to insinuate anything more than a simple fuck, you'll end the arrangement and he’ll never see you again.
If this was the only way he could be close to you, to feel your skin against his, to hear your broken voice call out to him, to not lose you, then he’s willing to be another man in your bed for the rest of his short and pathetic crime-filled life.
Even if it slowly breaks him piece by piece.
The moment you open the door, Jake is already on you. He presses his lips feverishly against yours, pushing you back into the apartment, and kicking the door shut with his foot. He continues pushing you backwards until your back hits the wall, his rough hands grasping your hips and grinding his hard bulge against your clothed mound.
Jake pressed his warm lips against your neck, opening his mouth wider as he ran his hot tongue over the soft skin of your neck. His large coarse hands grip the plush of your thighs, fingers digging in as he wraps your legs around his waist, hoisting you into the air as he carries you to the nearby bedroom. Your arms hook around his neck and fingers run through his short hair, tugging harshly as you twist your head to deepen the kiss. Your tongues moved in a passionate dance, massaging against one another whilst they twirled around in an intense rhythm.
With one swift kick, Jake opens the bedroom door and soon, your back meets the cotton sheets of the bed. He was left breathless of your panting form sprawled across the bed. He wasted no time peeling away your tight [F/C] blouse and light-washed jeans, unclipping your lacy bra, and discarding your cute black panties. As much as he wanted to admire your nude form, he needed to be inside you. Now.
You watched with bated breath and a dazed gaze as Jake slipped off every article of clothing from his taut frame, tossing each piece to the side, revealing the scarred, pale skin littered with tattoos. You bit your bottom lip. You could never get tired of seeing him undress.
It was as if you were witnessing a Greek god strip himself in front of you, allowing you to see the blissful sight of his chiseled body, to witness the bulging movements of his carved muscles, and be able to experience the blessing between his legs. Fuck, even now, your mouth watered at the thought of his dick.
Jake makes his way onto the bed, the mattress creaking in protest from the sudden weight. He hovers over you, already forcing your legs apart, too focused on the sight of your slick cunt. As much as you loved his enthusiasm, tonight you had a different plan that involved you taking the reins for once. You stretched your leg out and pressed your foot against his chest, stopping him in his place. Without another word, Jake finds himself under your small frame, plush thighs placed on either side of his hips, rubbing your wet cunt against his throbbing shaft. He swallows dryly.
Jake groans as his body melts against your gentle touch, crumbling as you place your hands on his chest, sinking into his lap. His cockhead slips through your slick folds, stretching your gummy walls so deliciously you can't help but tilt your head back, whimpering his name.
The soft glow of the bedside lamp bathed you in a faint golden light, illuminating your figure in the darkness of the room, creating a beautiful view from Jake’s perspective that left him breathless. You looked ethereal, almost like an angel. A silent groan left him, breath hitching in his throat. He ran his tongue over his upper lip, quietly chuckling. Even if he’s fucked you stupid, you still were a damn goddess in his eyes.
Your eyes rolled back into your head and your lips part open, brows pinching together as you fell forward onto his chest. Jake takes in the way your face scrunches up and how your eyes begin to tear up. He can't help but find it adorable.
He gives a small squeeze to your hips and slowly moves his hands to the curve of your ass, spreading your cheeks as he bottoms out. With a sudden thrust of his hips, he presses a deep kiss to your cervix with his dripping cockhead, eliciting a gasp from you. "Jake!" You squeal as you sit back up, glaring at the man under you.
"C'mon," he rasps, grinning up at you. "Don't act like you can't take me-fuck. Just ride me for a few minutes and you get your end of the deal, [Name]."
With a hum, you run your hands over his chest, tracing the intricate designs of his tattoos. You never would admit out loud that you always preferred a man with tattoos, seeing the way the ink wrapped around their skin "Mm, pushy," you reply shortly, grinding your hips against his pelvis. You bite your bottom lip, fighting the smile as you watch the man's eyes screw shut, a low groan leaving him. "Really hope you can keep your word, kid."
"Don't I always do? Fuck, you're so warm, ngh – s-stop calling me 'kid'," Jake said, struggling to keep his voice from cracking, yet already failing as you tighten around him. "I-I'm only two years your junior and a hell of lot more experienced than some high schooler."
With a rock of your hips, you chuckle and start to bounce on his dick, cockhead brushing against a certain spongy spot that makes you stutter in your movements. "Nng, just keep fucking me and be a good boy, Jake. You can do that right?”
The breath in his lungs hitch in his throat at your words, his smile falling. “D-Dammit…” Jake avoids your gaze, cheeks flushing a bright red. He seems to melt as you begin to bounce on his dripping cock, slowly raising your hips, only to sink back down with a small moan. Hearing you call him a good boy, it struck a familiar chord in him, one that stroked the fire inside his heart. Just hearing your praise laced with such a lewd tone, he wanted nothing more than to follow your wishes, have you seeing stars and calling out for God.
"Jake, don't you want to be a good boy and show me how much you want this? How much you want me? I feel like I’m doing all the work here…,” you whisper, peering down at him with a seemingly-innocent smile, eyes full of mirth and lust.
Though he wasn’t the man you loved, your dear Sinu, he was just as good in bed as the former leader. Everytime you close your eyes, you are taken back to the late nights you spent in Sinu’s bed, cuddled into his side as you two finished your nightly endeavor once again. Even as his heart belonged to another, this was better than to be left wondering what a night with him is like. Every kiss of the moment, you cherished it and lied that the tears filling your eyes were of pleasure, even if they were tears of sorrow for knowing he’ll never truly be yours. Your Sinu…
Perhaps in another life, you could love Jake.
But for now, Sinu had your heart in his palm without knowing it.
Jake never knew the thoughts clouding your head, but he wanted nothing more than to solve the labyrinth that was your mind.
Coarse hands grasp your ass and without warning, Jake begins thrusting his hips up, thick cock stretching your walls with every rut, flushed tip pressing bruising kisses against your cervix. The crease between his brows accompanies the small pants leaving him, intermingling with the sounds of skin slapping skin. He looked up as he drank in your appearance, ingraining every detail into his mind as if this would be the last time. Yet, he always feared it was. You struggled to bounce on his dick, nearly meeting his rough thrusts with every sink of body.
He couldn’t explain it, the way his body seemed to burn like a boiling cauldron around you. Even now, it seemed to be set ablaze, the heat of your cunt serving to fuel the fire inside. He wished for this to last forever.
You tighten around him and pause, slamming down on his cock as you release, sweet juices gushing all over him. You could feel his dick twitch inside you, the guttural groan leaving him telling you he was close as well. Yet, you couldn’t find yourself to continue taking the lead.
Jake took one look at your face and his heart twisted at the sight. He knew that look all too well and he couldn’t have his favorite girl doing all the work, not tonight. He pulls out with a growl and grips your hips, flipping you on your back and hovering over you. His chest rose and fell, panting as you wrap your legs around his taut waist. The sight of your dazed face, it made endorphins pump through him, knowing he was the one that made you like this.
Jake Kim was the one who could make you scream to the heavens purley out of pleasure.
Slowly, he pushes himself in, earning a whimper from you. The slick of your cunt lets him glide easily in. You reach up and cup Jake’s face, running one of your thumbs over his scar. He leans into your touch, his brows knit together and his eyes flutter shut as he imprints the warmth of your hand into his mind, never knowing when will be the last time he will be in your arms. He starts to rock his hips, his hands on either side of your head, giving long deep thrusts that have your head spinning. He brushes that sweet spot that has your toes curling, tightening your hold on his waists and bringing him closer. “J-Jake…!”
“[Name]....,” he breathes out, continuing to rut against you with a fervent pace, his eyes never once leaving you as he takes in how you bounce with every thrust, how your brows pinch together, lips parting to let out another broken moan. Your hand leaves his face, instead entangling your fingers in his hair, and tugging at his short locks. Burying his face into your neck, he takes the chance to nip at your skin, pulling more sweet moans from you.
The bedframe hits the wall, slamming against the surface. Yet Jake didn't care, too focused on the way your pussy practically swallowed him, keeping him in a vice grip that he struggled to move, even with the help of your slick juices. He didn't care if another heard or if he woke them up, all that mattered was pleasuring his beloved.
His movements get desperate, harsh even. He quickly pulls out earning a white from you, hooking his arms under your knees and pushing them past your chest, slotting himself in hammering into your sopping core. The squelch of your cunt and your mixed cries make a sweet melody Jake never wants to stop hearing, being accompanied by the harsh slapping of skin-against-skin, stirring him on. Every thrust has you squealing and arching your back, hooking your arms around his neck and pulling him close. The soft, hot walls constrict impossibly tight around him, signalling you’re nearing your climax once again. Fuck, he could hardly move, it’s so overwhelming. He feels himself start to crumble, sliding in and out with ease.
The coil tightens in his lower abdomen, every push and pull soon becoming too much. He wants nothing more than to paint your womb white with his fertile cum, but he knew bringing children in this line of work, between two people who had a complicated relationship, would only bring misery.
Jake quickly pulls out and gives firm strokes to his cock, his head lulling back as he spurts out thick ropes of white onto your stomach, painting your skin beautifully with his cum. The dim light of the bedside lamp has you glistening under the soft glow, a layer of perspiration shining with every rise of your chest. The sight reminds him of the roman paintings he saw one the walls of the expensive restaurants he visited. He always wondered what it was like to experience it.
Who knew it would be a self-destructing experience, however, as he takes his place beside you. Tonight you didn’t cuddle up next to him, instead, you dozed off in your place, back turned towards him as the exhaustion finally took hold of you.
Jake stares up at the ceiling for what seems like hours, hearing your soft snores and gentle breathing fill the room. He turns his head and is met with your slumbering face, how peaceful you looked, it made his heart skip. However, now’s not the time to sit back and admire. He has to go and get back to his home, to Big Deal, and plan the next strategy to earn more money.
With one final look back, a sad smile graces his face and he lets out a bitter laugh.
If this is love, Jake is willing to let it eat him alive if it means he can always come back to you.
Even if your heart belongs to someone else, you’ll always have the key to Jake Kim’s heart and he doesn’t mind that.
Not one bit.

So I was thinking about kokonui / inukoko trauma, obviously.
I do not exclude they both suffered from panic attacks after the fire.
It breaks my heart to think that little Seishu, that survived the fire with the knowledge he was alive by chance, had these attacks while in hospital, knowing Akane was fighting to survive but that, ultimately, there was nothing to do for her.
His mind was full of terrible thoughts, the survivor's guilt, the knowledge Akane could have been there instead of him, Koko to whom he owed his life, but it was more complicated than that. He was scared the most when he was alone in his hospital bed.
When his parents realized the situation, they did their best to stay next to Seishu, but between the visiting hours and all the problems they had to deal with at the time, it wasn't easy.
Koko couldn't stand to see his friend like that, covered in bandages, sad and confined to his bed and when he managed, he kept him company; sometimes, too tired by everything, they fell asleep holding hands. Nurses and doctors didn't have the heart to wake them up unless it was strictly necessary.
Koko was so desperate to make money at all costs that his attacks started only after Akane's death. By that time, Inupi was unfortunately familiar with the situation, had already swore to himself he would have done anything for Koko and always helped him during those moments. It got better, but it still happened sometimes.
After they started using Shin's old shop as their hideout, it was easier doing like when they were younger, falling asleep together, holding each other tight during rough days, with the excuse, on Koko's side they were just helping each other, no other feeling involved. Inupi, growing up, had realized his love for Koko was not only platonic, but was also sure it was not returned, not the way he would have wanted. So it was enough like this, if he couldn't have more.
After Tenjiku they both felt terribly alone but their circumstances were different. Inupi, that had seen in Hanagaki the same ideals that moved Shinichiro, felt welcomed by the (former) members of Toman. Mikey had left and it was difficult for them as well, but it felt nice to belong somewhere, just like the old days with the 1st Gen. Black Dragon. Probably due to the similarity of their situation, he became close to Draken and they even decided to open a bike shop together. It wasn't easy, but all things considered, Inupi was creating a good and honest life for himself. His parents, Akane, Shin, (and Koko) would have been proud of him.
On the other hand, Koko realized soon he was getting involved in something bigger than himself. While he was used to the delinquent world, had been an active part of it for years, dealing with aggression, theft, drugs and so on, Kantou Manji Gang was meant to be a real crime organization. Except for the first months, when Inupi was in hospital and was not involved in his business, and when he was in juvie, Seishu had always been with him.
When he got released from hospital, he insisted to help Koko, after realizing it was useless telling him they didn't need money anymore, since Akane was already dead. He seconded his obsession and at the same time he found a while to take out his anger joining him in the criminal underworld. But this time Koko was alone.
He couldn't help Inupi anymore, he had found his "new" Black Dragon, he was never meant to belong to that world of crime. Instead, Koko thought there was no other way to live for himself, he didn't deserve anything better than that. So he joined Mikey. He didn't know him that much, but he was so different from the person he had know for a couple of months while he was in Toman. Another factor he had not taken into consideration was Sanzu, and how cruel he could be under that calm and deceptive surface.
He soon found himself dealing with something he had never done before: cleaning up after someone else's murder. He had to find and pay criminals to literally get rid of dead people. Some of them maybe deserved their fate, but others were just civilians in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And, besides the terrible technical part of having to get rid of a body, denying their families and friends to say goodbye to their loved ones for the last time was unbearable for Koko.
After reuniting with Inupi and finally sorting out their feelings for each other, they finally star dating and Koko moves in with Inupi in his apartment.
Now Koko’s nightmares include dealing with corpses and hates waking up in the middle of the night, waking Inupi as well. But Seishu encourages him to open up and even if he has the irrational fear that Inupi will leave hum if he learns about what he was forced to do in KMG, Inupi never judged him for that. On the contrary, when nightmares and panic attacks happen, Inupi is always there for Koko, for whatever he needs in that moment.
Usually once the situation de-escalates, Inupi holds Koko in his arms, safe and sound, soft kisses on his forehead, cuddling until they fall asleep again.
In the morning, Koko makes sure to wake up earlier than Inupi, prepares breakfast, thanking Inupi for never giving up on him

“The Korean Air 1102 flight from Gimhae International Airport to Incheon International Airport will be delayed six hours due to the intense weather conditions. Please be on standby for any further updates.”
You’re twitching, fighting the urge to nibble on your nails because you’ve just got them done for Christmas. They’re a sleek champagne gold, because your fiancé insisted that they’re far more mature than your usual red and brown reindeer art. This is awful, and is only going to get progressively worse as the snow builds and builds. Right now the weather isn’t that bad, the snow isn’t even sticking to the ground and—oh.
Gnawing at your lip, your fingers brush over the cold window, a clear view of the landing strip you should currently be boarding. The touch is icy, and the pads of your fingers are enveloped in little rings of fog at the sudden warmth nudging the glass. Upon closer inspection and a squint of your eyes reveal that in fact, the snow is now sticking to the ground. Big, fat clumps are covering the freeway and destroying your Christmas plans.
Your fiancé will understand if you’re a little late for their Christmas Eve party, but you’re not sure if his parents will. You’ve been on livewire all week, wanting to at least spend the morning of Christmas Eve with your family back home. Knowing that your fiancé’s Christmas Eve party would run until very late, you booked a noon flight with enough time to get ready and impress his parents. Evidently, it was an ill-prepared idea.
Immediately falling into your terminal’s line, you hope that you can talk with the receptionist in hopes they could put you at ease.
“How soon will you announce our flight’s departure?” A sad smile.
“Is there any way you can put me on the next possible flight?” A shake of the head.
“Will the weather let up?” A frown.
Every bit of rejection weighs you down, and you’ve run out of questions to ask. For a receptionist, she’s not very receptive.
“C’mon lady, you’re holding up the line,” a voice tugs you from behind, “you’re not the only one who’s gotta get down to the city on Christmas.”
You fight the urge to roll your eyes, wanting to slap the rudeness off this man’s face. Instead of falling back in line, you move to the side to glare at him. He’s unfortunately attractive, albeit in a rugged sort-of way—nothing like your fiancé. The leather jacket that he carries tall is worn and crackly at the collar. Wavy dark hair he constantly has to hold back, a gesture that looks flirtatious and to your chagrin the receptionist is definitely recepting to him.
“Your refund should be processed in about two to four business days, Mr. Jeon,” the receptionist murmurs, the simultaneously sultry and chirpy voice making you twitch in your spot. Maybe if you drank a cup of tall, dark and handsome you’d be getting the same kind of treatment.
“Thanks,” he replies shortly, and it’s then you notice the extremely large luggage next to him. It’s the size of you, and despite the broad shoulders under the baggy jacket, he lugs it with careful force, making sure not to bump into anyone as he wheels it away from the counter.
It seems that your trainers have a mind of your own as you follow him down the terminal. He side eyes you as your feet pick up the pace to match his long legs, but he waits for you to say something first.
“Why did you ask for a refund?” you ask, frowning at him, “the flight is only delayed.”
He scoffs, “Do you see the snow? They’re just saying it’s delayed so they can hold onto your money a little longer. Besides, it’s a win-win. I get my refund sooner and some other poor sap can take the ticket and wait until five in the morning.”
“Five A.M.,” you exhale to yourself, slowing down.
It would be too late by then, far too late. Your shoulders slump, people start to bump into you without a care.
“Besides,” you hear his voice say from your stricken form, “I had a backup plan.”
That’s when your feet start to burn up, and you whip around to pump your legs, catching up with the man who’s already far down the hall. “What kind of backup plan?” you blurt, raising your voice because the crowds are starting to get noisier and deeper the further you follow him.
He hooks his lips into a confused frown, “You’re awfully nosy.”
“I’m in a pinch, my fiancé’s parents will kill me if I don’t show up to their party tonight.”
“Your fiancé’s parents… will kill you?”
“That’s an exaggeration,” you cough, immediately feeling self-conscious, “they’d kill me with their eyes. They’re really big, really pretty corporate people. They have high expectations for their future in-law.”
“Ah, and you're the country pumpkin who managed to sweep the rich guy off his feet?”
“Something like that,” you reply, rocking on your heels, “my dad was his dad’s former secretary, and we grew up together.”
The stranger with a plan stops in front of a long line. It’s so long that you’re not entirely sure where it leads to. People are piling out the door two at a time, and you can see they’re trying to get through the process as fast as possible. The window leading outside is blurry and caked in white ice. He hooks one leg over his luggage, the metal and plastic case is so high that his feet barely touch the ground. Like a kid with a flat scooter, he wheels himself through the line.
“These lines are for busses going in the direction of our flight,” he jabs a finger out the door, “if the flight got cancelled I was just going to ride one of these,” out of his pocket he pulls out two tickets, flicking it in front of your face.
“Are there any tickets left?” your eyes bug, and you immediately pull out your phone to reserve a spot.
“Nah, been booked since last month.”
It’s then that your eyes zero in on the second ticket he has in hand. Both tickets are addressed to the same name. You lower your phone in your pocket, narrowing your eyes. “Why do you have two for yourself?”
He pats his luggage as a response.
“That’s not fair!”
“It is when you buy it, sweetheart.”
“A literal human could be in that spot, wanting to go home for Christmas!”
“You’re just salty you don’t have a ticket, don’t take it out on my luggage,” he feigns a pout, rubbing the handle of the heavy container, “you’re hurting it’s feelings.”
It doesn’t take long for you and the stranger to reach the end of the line. To others in line the two of you look like two companions bickering good-naturedly, but in reality the only thing you want to do is slap that smug smile off his face.
“You want my ticket,” he states.
“I want your luggage’s ticket,” you bite back, staring petulantly at where he sits comfortably between the handle.
Unbeknownst to you, the man’s face morphs into a teasing grin upon seeing you glare a little too hard at the silver and black case. It just so happens that your eyes gravitate to the middle of the luggage, at the apex between his long legs leading up to a pair of black sweats. Despite the soft, baggy fabric you can see how the bulge of his thighs outline the thin cotton, looking large and inviting which—
Fuck. You’re engaged. Why are you checking out some stranger’s thighs? Your fiancé also has nice thighs, think about those!
“How much do you want for it?” you cough, crossing your arms and turning to the side to hide your flaming cheeks.
“Who said I was offering?”
“I’ll pay that and then some.”
“With your rich-boy’s money?”
If your hands were not digging into your elbows and you weren’t so concerned about your gold-foiled manicure, you’d deck him. Do the holidays normally make this person so snappy? He simply flips his hair, and you catch the shaved ends of his sides.
“Three-hundred,” he says easily, and if he notices you staring he doesn’t say anything, “including any extra fees for my luggage.”
“Done,” you hold out your hand for him to shake.
“I’m Jungkook, if you care,” the man named Jungkook adds wryly, practically swallowing your small hand with his larger one. You shortly reply with your name, and he merely nods, “a thank you would suffice.”
“Thanks,” and it’s then that you manage a scarily pretty smile, one that Jungkook finds both alarming and amusing. It’s a catered smile, one that you’ve trained yourself to accomplish after hours in the mirror in fear of your fiancé’s parents seeing right through you. It’s the smile you give during work when you don’t give a shit but you need to suck it up. It’s a 9/10 success rate.
“Scary,” he shivers, and then you realize he’s the 1/10.
The only bus for you two to pile on is one of the smallest. Probably half the size of a regular coach bus, but at this rate you don’t care. You’ll fly by hot air balloon if the weather wasn’t so crappy.
“Taehyung!” you startle at Jungkook’s sudden belt, and he does a big, beefy-chested bro-hug to the driver. Ah, so he has connections. You watch the two interact from your corner, pulling up your hood to stop the rapidfire snowflakes from pelting your eyes.
The driver is a classically handsome thing, dark eyes and dark fluffy hair. His paperbag pants look absolutely frigid however, and his teeth are chattering as he regards Jungkook with annoyed eyes.
“Listen, so plans have changed—”
“As always, Kook.”
“—and I need you to do me another solid. Do you have room in the compartment for my babies?”
“The answer is, and always no. That’s why you bought two tickets.”
“I know but,” he gestures to you with a jab of his thumb, “like I said, plans have changed.”
“Jungkook,” Taehyung frowns, “trying to do some Christmas miracles? In this snowstorm?” Taehyung shakes his head, eyes flickering to the running bus. Most of the ticket holders are already on it. “I can save you two a three-seater, but there’s no room in the compartment. It’ll be a tight fight but—”
“It’s perfect. You’re dynamite, Tae,” Jungkook even has the audacity to reach his hands out and squish the driver’s cheeks, much to his distain.
The two of you are ushered quickly into the bus, leaving you in the very front diagonal to where Taehyung is sitting. The three seats are tiny, it probably barely fits Jungkook’s thighs with the large luggage nestled in the other two seats. The two of you suggest to put the luggage out in the aisle and take turns holding it, but Taehyung interjects that the luggage is a fire hazard.
“But not a human,” Jungkook decides, and he gestures for you to sit down in the available seat. You’re practically shoved against the window as Jungkook manages to squeeze his gargantuan luggage in the other two seats. He’s tall enough to grab the metal rungs of the bus, steeling himself in the middle of the aisle.
Taehyung doesn’t fight with that, and finally puts the bus into drive. Pulling out of the airport feels akin to leaving the eye of the storm. It’s going to be a long journey, and it makes you worry as to whether you’re going to make it on time or not.
Your favorite pastime is watching the window on a long car ride, especially when the snowflakes crystalize and melt away through the warmth of the vehicle. However, you’re irked. You thought Jungkook was a bit of a wank, a little too full of himself and far too mysterious for your own good.
Exhibit A, the luggage that’s currently threatening to wheel over and crush you against the glass. You wonder what’s so special about this luggage that Jungkook so desperately wants to protect, even so far as to buy its own seat. Sneakily, you lean over to smell the zipper. Surprisingly, it smells a little vinegary, the fumes getting you a little lightheaded within seconds. Your eyes dart to Jungkook, who’s currently engaged in conversation with Taehyung. You tilt your head and sniff again, confirming the slightly rancid smell.
It’s then you take in Jungkook’s form once more. He dresses a little schlubby, his clothes are old, his eyes are sunken in, and his luggage is filled with weird-smelling things.
Oh no. Is Jungkook a drug dealer?
Your fiancé’s parents would surely have a fit if this man gets arrested and you come up in the report as an accused accomplice. It makes sense, he would want to make sure that his goods are in his view at all times, and it explains why he so easily gave you his ticket for triple the actual price.
A giggle interrupts your thoughts. Yes, a tired, yet bubbly giggle. Jungkook’s face is pressed against his bicep, and you catch the fluttering of his eyes as he tries to keep up with Taehyung’s rambling. His grip is starting to loosen on the metal bars, and you’re worried that he might accidentally slip, or not hold tight enough in the event the car takes a sharp turn or slips on black ice.
“J-Jungkook,” it’s the first time you’re saying his name out loud, tasting it on your tongue as you regard him steadily, “why don’t we take turns sitting? I don’t mind standing for an hour while you sleep.”
He regards you with a sleepy smirk, shaking his head against the fabric of his jacket. “You’ll be flung in two seconds, besides can you even reach the handles?”
Good point, but Jungkook is far more muscular and if he does end up flying he’ll crash through the window and further hinder your commute. It’s why you choose your next words carefully, and you convince yourself it’s the only reason as to why you propose your solution.
“I’ll sit on your lap,” and since it sounds super weird coming out of your mouth, you tack on, “I’ll put your jacket over your lap as a barrier.”
He slacks, regarding you with a scrunched face. “Is the jacket supposed to make that situation any better? I’m fine standing like this.”
“This ride is going to take hours and you’re barely on your own two feet,” your point is made when the bus topples over a speed bump, and Jungkook looks awfully small as he moves to grapple the top bar with both hands, “my fiancé doesn’t get jealous, I’ve sat in plenty of friend’s laps before.”
“We’re not friends,” he blurts with a raise of his brows.
“Yes, I know that,” you’re a little insulted by the curt reply, but he still looks rather horrified that you’re proposing the following, “I don’t like it either, but I’m sitting in your seat and now I’m feeling guilty as hell.”
It’s a lot of shuffling and shifting after that. You try not to laugh as Jungkook rips off his leather jacket, folding it into a perfect square, ironing out the corners of the crinkly fabric as he gestures for you to take a seat. You try not to take note of how sturdy his thighs are, or how the muscle stretches across the seat so well that there’s no way for you to fall between the cracks.
“You’re going to sleep anyway,” you try to assure him, side eying him as he presses his forehead against the window, “it’ll be like being with a dead body.”
“Didn’t know you were into necrophilia, but whatever floats your boat,” Jungkook mumbles, eyes immediately fluttering shut.
At first it was easy, ignoring the fact that you’re sitting on top of a human. The drive seems endless however, Taehyung driving further and further into a sea of white ice. You force yourself to thread your fingers together, sitting on the very edge of his knees with your back ramrod straight. Eventually, you tire out and relax against Jungkook’s lax body. Your face is centimeters away from Jungkook’s. Long, dark lashes, and a strand of equally dark hair falls in front of his eyes. His cheeks are flushed from the blaring heater, and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in.
Hm, for a drug dealer, he smells pretty.
Despite the weird-smelling luggage that looms over the two of you, the white long-sleeved shirt he wears is soft to the touch and smells fresh.
You huff, and shift in your seat.
“Stop,” Jungkook mumbles into your shoulder, and you don’t have the heart to look at him.
“I’m sorry, it’s cramped,” you reply.
“I get that, but you don’t have to—hike yourself so far up here,” he sounds almost embarrassed saying it, and his hand shuffles to adjust his belt. “Literally can’t sleep because you’re making me pop a boner.”
“Why, I’m engaged!”
“God, I know. It’s like your personality trait or something,” Jungkook retorts, “just because you’re engaged doesn’t stop my body from reacting. I’m sure your fiancé has reacted like this, stop acting like a blushing virgin.”
You tense, your eyes glued to the window in front of you. How do you even make a comeback to that? Wringing your hands in your lap, you feel your palms sweat with nerves the longer it takes for you to reply. This causes the gears to run in Jungkook’s mind.
“Holy fuck, have you two not—”
“Shut up,” you hiss, turning your body around to slap him in the chest, “shut up shut upupupshutup!”
You make seething, burning eye contact with Jungkook. You expect him to have a shit-eating grin on his face, teasing you for your relationship. Instead, Jungkook is wide-eyed, mouth parted open like a confused guppy and his big bug-eyes looking stricken. He says nothing.
The road starts to get bumpier, and the drive swerves from time to time to avoid black ice. Neither of you are relaxed. Combined with the heart of the storm, your heart is currently wrung on electrical wire, pumping blood with a fervor you cannot stifle.
“I’m going to put my arms around your waist,” Jungkook murmurs softly, and you lift your arms slightly to see him lace his fingers over your belly button. “Like a seatbelt.”
You sigh, relaxing in his hold. Now it’s awkward. He feels compelled to hold you to keep you safe, even though he clearly finds it awkward you’ve already put him in this position.
Jungkook isn’t so bad, you think as you let your gaze linger on his hands. They anchor you to his lap, making sure you’re not jostling during the ride. He may have a razor sharp tongue and gets under your nerves just for the heck of it, but he’s kind of nice. Under the prickly leather jacket, there’s a softness to him you can’t help but gravitate to.
It’s dark outside, save for the speedily descending flakes and the dim lights of the highway. You’re sitting on the lap of a total stranger, yet it’s a stranger who’s holding your waist like he’s a seatbelt, a stranger who’s making you feel safe to say the words that have been haunting you for the past few months.
“I’ve tried to initiate sex,” you finally say. “I don’t know why he doesn’t want me, it’s already been two years.”
Your eyes turn red with bloody horror. Your vision blurred by the insanity of what you’ve just blurted out to this surprisingly kind stranger who’s offered his seat (both times) to you.
“I didn’t mean to word vomit like that. Forget I said anything—”
“Must be his loss,” Jungkook cuts you off, and when he says it doesn’t feel impolite at all. However, Jungkook doesn’t continue on, doesn’t give you rhyme or reason, just lets you linger on his reply like a madwoman.
Maybe it’s because you’re so touch starved, maybe you’re just seeing things, but for some reason Jungkook’s fingers feel more apparent against the seam of your jacket. They tighten a fraction, drum around the metal zipper that holds the thick fabric together. Your palms feel like a fountain, and you try to ignore the burn between your legs, the liquid heat betraying the commitment that sits on your finger.
You’re engaged to be married, you chastise yourself. All eighteen carats that symbolize that bond glare at you, bright and eager to make you feel guilty. The whole reason why you’re on this cramped bus ride is to get to your soon-to-be husband. Some pretty stranger with strong hands won’t change that.
“We’re here! Finally!” Taehyung cheers, and you realize now that you’re parked into a tunnel surrounded by other buses.
Jungkook and you wait until everyone steps off the bus. The pads of Jungkook’s fingers play an unsung tune, absentmindedly drumming to a song you can’t put your mind to.
“God, you can’t just pay the extra money for someone to take care of this?” Taehyung hauls the large luggage in the aisle seat, and you feel like you’re being revealed under a curtain, doing something you’re not supposed to be doing.
You hop off his lap, scoop your backpack in your arm and scramble off the bus. The cold, winter air bites into every available pore in your body, replacing the warmth that Jungkook gave in the tiny bus. You hike the collar of your oversized turtleneck higher up your chin, prickling in shivers as you wait for Jungkook.
“I don’t remember Seoul being this, empty,” you say to yourself, frowning at the lack of humans past the bus station. You peer curiously at the dark, dark road off the terminal. There’s no flicker of light, or a skyline filled with bustling sounds and flickering head beams.
“That’s because we’re only halfway there,” Jungkook walks past you, luggage in tow.
“What?” you pull out your phone, it’s already 4PM and it’s pitch dark outside.
The snow is beating down as you two speed walk out of the hangar, reaching a nearly vacant parking lot save for a pure white minivan. You barely notice the vehicle with all the snow, blending in perfectly as wave after wave of ice beats down on it. The pops of rust by the tires, gaudy orange stripes is the only thing you can focus on as you try to make it to the car as fast as possible.
“Get in and start the car,” Jungkook practically shoves the keys in your hands, gesturing for you to take the passenger seat.
When you enter his car, you’re hit with a scent scarily identical to the one in Jungkook’s luggage. You nearly gag when you inhale too much, and your eyes flicker over to the lemon air freshener attached to the exhaust, trying its best to mask the smell. You vaguely remember all the warning stories your parents told you as a kid—never enter the white van.
Ohmygod, you’re in a white van and all of Jungkook’s drugs are in the back.
You shake your head, willing the car to start as you arch your back over the console to start it up. You’ve been around your fiancé’s parents too long, letting them fill your head with judgemental gab and crazy assumptions only rich people have about people lesser than them.
Once the car spurs to life, soft holiday music plays from a pop station. The front window of the car is absolutely covered in snow, you can’t even budge the windshield wipers to scrape the layer of ice off.
Suddenly, a blanket of ice slides off the window, swept to the concrete. You’re met with Jungkook’s toothy smile and horror-esque stare, and you have this jerk reaction to nervously laugh and jump in your seat. Your nails dig into the cheap fabric of your seat as Jungkook’s scary expression melts into a more softened one, as if happy to have gotten you to laugh in such sucky times. Jungkook continues to brush your windows, meticulously making sure no ice can cause any damage as you two go into the night.
“Alright, let’s get this show on the road!” Jungkook whips the door open, throwing the snow brush at the space between your feet.
As soon as he shuts the door, your stomachs growl simultaneously.
The two of you break into a quick laugh, giggles that overlap the twinkly holiday chimes and the packed snow crunching under Jungkook’s boots.
“After McDonalds,” Jungkook declares, setting up the GPS for a quick pitstop to the nearest fast food joint.
Ten minutes into the drive, you pull into a generic food joint, too starved to find gourmet McDonalds. You make it a point to flick your card and lean over his body to meet the cashier, telling him you’re spotting the meal. Jungkook doesn’t complain, and tells the cashier to add in a vanilla sundae for good measure.
Color yourself impressed, but you can’t help but gawk as Jungkook expertly sets up his food on the dashboard like a five-star meal, with fries in the cupholder and a burger unwrapped perfectly to catch any spills and to keep his fingers from getting greased up. For such a terrible snowstorm, he pulls out of the joint gracefully, a brief intermission in your long journey.
“So, is my fiancé’s place far from where you need to be?”
Jungkook shrugs, a stray fry hanging from his mouth. “It’s not far, not close either. I don’t mind, I like driving.”
“Do you drive around a lot?”
“Yeah, for work. It’s a little annoying that I have to spend Christmas alone, but it is what it is.”
Pausing on your speculation, you take a big bite of your burger. You were hoping that your conversation would spur on a little more detail about his drug-esque job. However, all you start to feel is the heaviness of your fast food meal, stemming from your chest and filling your grease-filled stomach.
“You’re spending Christmas alone?” you say, and you don’t mean to sound so sad saying it, but the thought of him being alone tonight makes you feel pinched with pain.
“I can practically feel your puppy-eyes,” Jungkook shakes his head, not even needing to look at you as he focuses on the road. “I’m fine, don’t you worry.”
“Do you wanna come to the party?” you offer, trying to sound as neutral as possible as you throw the suggestion on the dash.
“Not my thing,” Jungkook scrunches his nose, “with my line of work, I prefer to lay low.”
Trying not to feel a hurt by the sudden (but expected) rejection, you practically eat your burger whole, eyes glaring on the road. You surmise it’s a valid excuse, drug dealers aren’t exactly one for highly-populated areas and with your fiancé’s reputation, you’re sure his parents would smell Jungkook’s reputation in a micro-minute.
The drive isn’t anything special. You’re sure if it were spring, the foliage would be pretty and the sun would be setting into melty orange hues by now. It’s all black and white, boring shades that are aggressively pelting at the van and hindering your evening.
“So, what other character traits do you have?” Jungkook cuts through your semi-brooding, as easily as one slices through butter, “other than the obvious that you’re engaged, and that you’re getting married. And oh yeah, you have a fiancé!”
You scoff at his cheesy joke, folding your arms together. “I like spending time with my family. Watching movies under a weighted blanket. Plants.”
His stare dips away from the road for a fraction, enough for you to catch that he’s rolling his eyes, “Fascinating. Not a plant person myself. I like those cute little succulents though. Had a bunch of those in college.”
“I am also a ramen connoisseur,” you say pointedly, turning up your nose.
“Ah, are you?” you smile a little when you see Jungkook’s eyes light up at the mention of food, “what’s the criteria for good ramen?”
“Deep, creamy broth. Also, the egg. Gotta look like a custard-y, eggy sunset. It’s just,” you smack your lips together, mimicking a chef’s kiss, “perfect.”
He chuckles, and goes on to tell you a story about a ramen shop he’s visited on his travels. It’s one he declares that you need to visit, one he still dreams about often. It takes a ferry and it’s a bit of a trek, but he says it’s worth it, and the eggs are as custard-y and sunset-y as you’d like.
It’s between pockets of his story and pulling yourself out of this little bubble of a van you realize: are you flirting with Jungkook?
The longer this trip goes, the more your stares linger. They linger like the snow that sticks to the ground, unable to do nothing but cling. Layer after layer of confusing feelings, building up to a blizzard that you’re unable to quell.
“So, your family’s also going to be at your fiancé’s party?” Jungkook asks, poking at yet another one of your personal facets. He’s being blatantly nosy, yet neither of you seem to mind.
“Oh, no,” you shove your hands in your pockets, “they wanted to stay back in our hometown with the extended family. Y’know, the older members can’t really travel as much as they used to.”
“Ah, so you’re splitting up your time,” Jungkook drums his hands on the wheel, eyes drooped slightly as he continues along the monotonous road, “your fiancé couldn’t make it?”
“Couldn’t,” you reply lightly, “just, y’know, work.”
“Been there, done that,” Jungkook replies, “I’m sure he missed out though. What’s your family like? Are they the type to bake cookies until 3 A.M.? Oh, or do they get wine drunk and talk shit about their annoying cousins—”
“Jungkook,” the words fly out of your mouth before you can even think, “I’m engaged.”
The weight of your words holds differently now. A whole day has passed with this man, and you’ve developed an attachment that simultaneously scares and thrills you. Not an hour goes by that you have to think to yourself that you’re taken, to the point that you can’t even tell what’s in your head and what’s being spoken out in the air.
Instead of a snippy comment, a snarky retort of, “I know, I know!” like you anticipate, Jungkook stops the car.
There’s no human trace for miles, so it doesn’t scare you when he slows down and pulls off to the side. He gears the car into park, roughly pulling the handle. He lays his arm over the steering wheel, turning his body so he can face you fully. The heat in the car suddenly feels too cloying, and you shrink in the seat as he leans in on you.
“What is that supposed to mean?” he asks, and from the looks of it, he’s genuinely hurt.
“I—Jungkook,” you plant your feet on the ground, trying to find some power in this situation, “I mean I, we—you just can’t keep doing this.”
“Do you feel like I’m trying to steal you away? Or, seduce you or something?” Jungkook is starting to talk himself into a stupor, eyes flickering from the window, to you, to behind you, and back to you. It’s almost jarring, seeing how self-conscious he starts to get without the presence of an audience. Gone is the smooth talker that you met at the terminal, willing to haggle it all for your cash. “Are you uncomfortable? Is it weird I have a crush on you?”
“Wait, you have a crush on me?”
He reels back, nearly pressing his head against the window. Jungkook runs a hand through his hair, exhaling deep from his lungs. “Adults still get crushes, y’know.”
“Yeah, but not to people you met eight hours ago.”
Jungkook arches a brow, “People fall for people in the most unlikely of ways.”
That singular statement hits you, hard.
Jungkook looks like he wants to get out of the van. He seems stuffy, and he unzips his coat and shoves it under his legs.
“You’re cute,” he echoes the statement like he can’t believe that in a short amount of time, he’s attached to you, “you seem to have good taste, you love family, and your personality isn’t half bad,” the last bit is meant to be teasing, a lighthearted way to end his bout of emotion, but it only makes you ache further, “And it makes me upset knowing that you have to keep convincing yourself that you’re in a relationship that isn’t as fulfilling as you hope. This whole drive, you’ve been anxious about going to his parents, worrying that you’re not going to make it on time instead of relaxing with your family. Where you actually want to be.”
“I also want to be with Jimin,” you say weakly, a half-hearted attempt to defend yourself.
You never mentioned your fiancé’s name until this point. It makes Jungkook stiffen a little, finally putting a name to the man that’s supposed to have your heart. It makes the relationship concrete, palpable.
“I’m sure you do,” Jungkook smacks his lips, evidently sealing the conversation to suffocate under the snow.
Jungkook puts the car into drive, sliding back into your current route.
“And to answer your question, Jungkook. No, you having a crush on me is not weird,” and smaller, quieter, you reply, “because it’s weird that I might have a crush on you, too.”
You know that Jungkook catches your statement, because he cranks the volume of the radio harder, effectively shutting you out.
The first thing Jungkook says when you finally reach the Park’s house is: “Wow.”
His van looks completely out of place, parked on the side as limos and Escalades drop off more and more people into the large estate. It’s pouring with elegant piano music, and the large window in the middle of their home reveals a century-old chandelier, crystals beaming and winking against the hundreds of guests that lie underneath.
The rest of the way driving was almost painfully fast. After that awkward wave of emotion, neither of you said anything. Well, you didn’t at least. Jungkook attempted to clear the air by singing along to the Christmas songs on the radio, but it only further attracted you because to your chagrin—Jungkook’s a pretty good singer.
The estate isn’t in Seoul persay, it’s a sizable plot of land that definitely comes from old money. It’s decked up like the North Pole, lit up and tiny crystal lines dotting the expanse of the rooftops. The snow certainly adds to it, and many guests are outside taking pictures of the picture-perfect holiday show. The blizzard has finally subsided, leaving a clean blanket of snow across their yard.
You scoff to yourself. What they find to be a Christmas miracle only derailed yours.
Jungkook stares at you while you send a quick text to Jimin. You tell him he needs to come fast, because you don’t want his parents to see you all sweaty and dressed like you’ve been traveling for hours.
“Oh, uh,” you finally take a look at him, and you immediately regret it because you’re getting sucked into his gaze, “I think you put my bag in the trunk?”
“Right,” he shakes his head, “follow me.”
He tilts his head down when he’s outside, as if the snow’s going to start back up and drown him. Your thumb scratches the ring on your finger as you hop out of the van, effectively popping the bubble the two of you have been sealed in for the better half of the evening. Is this going to be it? Is the last you’ll see of Jeon Jungkook?
All those thoughts evaporate when Jungkook opens the trunk.
There’s no drugs.
In fact, you don’t even know what to think. The van is absolutely filled, wall-to-wall art supplies and canvas carefully lined up like Tetris blocks to avoid damage. The floor of the van seems to receive the brunt of the messes, and you catch recent paint stains and spray cans stacked to the side. It explains the smell.
There’s some clear cases in a corner, protecting completed prints that are already framed. Your eyes cling to a vibrant hyacinth, coral and satin blue petals bunching in the middle of a black background. It’s absolutely gorgeous, if it wasn’t for all the paint lying around, you’d think it’s real.
Jungkook’s an artist.
“Holy shit, I thought you were a drug dealer,” you blurt, and you want to smack yourself in the face.
“Excuse me?” Jungkook jerks his head towards you, “did you think I was a drug dealer this whole time?”
“N-no,” you frown petulantly, letting Jungkook loop your arms through the straps of your backpack. “Maybe. You were very shady.”
He laughs, a genuine laugh. It confuses you, the way he tucks his hands in his pockets and bends his back over to look up at you through his dark lashes. It’s like nothing’s wrong, like he’s trying to erase the past eight hours and leave with no qualms. You don’t know if that comforts you or terrifies you.
“So, you were willing to let a potentially dangerous man be your travel partner for eight hours so you can make it to your fiancé’s party?” Jungkook’s eyes flicker over to the front door, “you must really love him.”
“I do,” you say the phrase like it’s second nature. Rehearsed. Practiced.
“Merry Christmas,” Jungkook pulls out his hand, and you don’t hesitate to grasp it.
Liquid heat sparks through your skin, one that tingles from where his large palm encases yours, all the way to your heart.
“Merry Christmas,” you echo, and your feet feel like lead as you back away from him.
Jungkook waits until you go inside the house, even though the valet is side eyeing him and mentally telling him to leave already. Turning your back to him is rough, like you’re without snowshoes and you’re trudging through snow.
The goodbye feels rushed. Your heart is cold and heavy. Unfortunately, by the time you realize you haven’t paid Jungkook for his bus ticket and the ride, it’s too late. Jimin has already pulled you in his awaiting arms, and Jungkook has peeled out of the driveway.
“You look awful,” Jimin coddles you, dusting the invisible dirt off your jacket. You know Jimin means well by the statement, but you can’t help but feel a little unsupported by his words. You did all you could to make it to Jimin in time for this party full of faceless, nameless people. And yet, Jimin inadvertently manages to put you down for finally making it.
The hallway is relatively empty, save for one staff member who cleans the wet linoleum floors whenever someone with snow steps in. You can easily make out where the heart of the party is, the tinkly holiday music playing from the speakers, along with all the bodies huddled by the extra large Christmas tree that is brimming with presents.
You do feel like a wet noodle, in comparison to Jimin and Namjoon’s complementary pinstripe suits. Jimin’s deep burgundy suit pops in the endless hallway of marble and light wood as he quickly leads you upstairs to a spare room for you to change. Namjoon’s more muted grey still looks stunning on him, cutting his tall figure nicely. You think it’s cute that Jimin made an effort to match with his assistant, not making him feel out of place in this big party.
“I hope you don’t mind,” Namjoon interjects softly, gesturing to the garment bag hanging on the boudoir, “I picked out your dress.”
“I’m sure whatever you bought is beautiful,” you assure softly, stepping fully into the room. It’s an extra bedroom, you’re assuming it might be yours.
“We’ll give you some time to freshen up and get ready,” Jimin squeezes your arm, a touch you can barely feel due to the puffiness of your down jacket. It’s just an awkward escape of air to you, a sssttt that you catch Namjoon hiding his smile for, “we’ll walk around a bit and bring you some food.”
“I want cupcakes,” you blurt impulsively, and the two of them laugh on their way out the door.
Once you’re finally alone, you strip yourself bare. Jacket, shirt, socks, underwear. You make quick work of taking a hot, damp towel to wash your arms and legs, scrubbing your face of any oil and dirt from the day. You wrap yourself in an indulgent fluffy robe, the plush material comforting you as you flop on the bed.
It’s been a day.
You take a five minute cat nap, the weight of the day taking its toll on you. When you finally flutter your eyes open however, you see him.
It’s not exactly him, it’s his art. It’s mounted right atop the headboard, a large blown up painting of a tiger lily. The orange and gold flecks flicker and go perfectly with the decor of the room. The piece is longing, aching for you to go back to two hours ago when you could’ve phrased your words better, balm the situation into something to salvage. This must be a sign, you think. Upon closer look, you see the signature Jeon JK etched in silver in the corner. Who knew the Parks were buying Jeon Jungkook’s work, the world is smaller than you’d originally thought.
It ignites you. You rip the zipper of the garment bag, pulling on the slinky glittery gold dress Namjoon picked out for you. It’s gorgeous, and you don’t know how he managed to find your proportions, but you figure an assistant of his caliber has access to many things. You don’t have much time, so you slap on some light makeup and swipe some highlights across your eyes. By the time Jimin returns, you’re pulling your hair up and out of your face.
Jimin walks to the bed with a pretty red velvet cupcake, “You look beautiful,” he says immediately, and you follow to sit with him at the foot of the bed.
You don’t hesitate to grab the cupcake from his tea plate, nearly shoving it in your mouth. You definitely need a rush, something to curb you over for the plans you have tonight. “Sugar sugar,” you chant like a mantra, and you don’t care that your lipgloss is smudged and crumbs cling to your cheeks.
Jimin just rubs circles onto your thigh, letting you eat and relax. He knows you’re not a fan of these kinds of parties, preferring to wallflower it, preferably at a wall closest to the buffet. His touch is comforting, and you chew slower in order to prolong the inevitable. It takes a beat for you to finish your cupcake.
“I need to talk to you,” the two of you blurt at the same time, and you point and giggle at each other like you’re still five year olds tinkering in the sandbox.
Jimin pouts, “Can I go first? Mine’s kind of important.”
“Mine’s also really important,” you don’t mean to invalidate Jimin, but you really need to get this out. “I might explode if I don’t say this now.”
The blonde scrunches his nose, obviously weak to your unusual distress, “I guess I wouldn’t want that.”
You clutch his hand, the hand that holds the plain wedding band he picked out for himself two years ago. Your eyes flicker to how your ring kisses his, “Jimin. I love you, like really love you. I can’t imagine my life without you, you’ve been my best friend since we could crawl. But as I traveled down here, I realized that even though I love you, I think I’m not in love,” you wince at how cheesy that sounds, “I don’t want you to feel like you’re not good enough, but the whole trip down here made me realize I don’t think I can commit to this.”
“Oh, thank fuck,” you gasp, watching relief wash over Jimin’s features. You’re not even done with your whole spiel and he’s already unbuttoning his blouse, “this makes what I’m about to say a whole lot easier.”
“Jimin,” you trail off, squeezing his palm, “what do you mean?”
“I mean, I think I’m in love.”
Your jaw slackens slightly, seeing the sweat that lines Jimin’s slicked back hair. He must’ve been thinking about this all night, waiting for you to tell you this. Your chest aches, weighing in on all the sudden facts. “Who is it?” you ask.
Jimin shrugs, “The man who does my taxes and makes sure I sleep at least seven hours a night.”
“Namjoon,” you conclude, eyes moving to the sealed door. You think Namjoon is waiting out there right now, silently supporting you two as you go through this. Of course, Jimin’s parents would be livid if anything would tarnish his reputation. A broken engagement would be sticky to cover up, and Jimin falling for his assistant is a headline right for the books.
“I’m sorry,” Jimin whispers, despite the room being vacant he feels the need to keep his words short, “You came all this way to hear this. But I guess we’re on the same page, huh?” His soft fingers make a beeline for your ring finger, removing the diamond band, “And by the way, I love you too. Which is why we’re going to come clean in the morning and work this out with my parents, together. I’m sorry if you felt obligated to follow me all this time just because our parents did.”
“Hey, like you said, we’re in this together. Both in and out,” you chastise, pulling your engagement ring from his grasp and holding it to the light. “Can I keep this? Instead of an engagement band, it can be our best friend band. I’ll even get it re-sized so it can go on another finger.”
Jimin pulls you into his arms, crushing you. The silky material of your dress bunches and rides, but you don’t care. The two of you can’t help but be a little crybaby-ish about it, feeling much like your younger-selves when you had to pull each other out of trouble.
The two of you walk out of the bedroom hand-in-hand, and Namjoon is leaning against the banister in the hallway, a soft smile melting on his tanned skin.
“I’m so happy for you,” you gush, hugging Namjoon tightly. You’ve only known the man for a few months, but you can tell he’s taking care of Jimin and that’s enough for you.
“I… really thought you’d be more upset.” Namjoon marvels, patting your back.
Jimin interjects, “I think she’s found someone hotter than me.”
“Impossible!”
You could stay at this party, lay low until you and Jimin have to confront his parents in the morning. They suggest to get all the food they need and sneak out to the home theatre. The three of you hustle it down the stairs to another part of the house, in order for you to make your getaway and avoid Jimin’s family.
“Hey,” you stop in front of another painting, pulling the two men to a stop. Your eyes lock on a framed droopy peony, tipped with pink dye. You realize you can’t stay here, not when someone’s home alone tonight. “Namjoon, I need you to locate someone for me.”
Jungkook does not expect to see you at his front door.
You’re stunning, and look as breathless as he feels. The liquid champagne number that hugs your frame does things to him, and he’s strangely attracted to the fact that you paired this expensive dress with your snow-drenched trainers.
You showing up at the wee hours of the morning was the last thing Jungkook thought would happen. It’s nothing short of a holiday event, you look like you’ve just walked out of a gala and then ran a marathon to reach him.
He thought when he said goodbye, it would be the last time you’d cross paths. At first, he was okay with that. After all, feelings come and go, and spontaneity only works a percentage of the time. Seeing you presently however, throws all those half-hearted concedings out the window.
“Hi,” you finally say, drinking from the fact that you actually found him.
“Hey,” Jungkook breathes, “you look, beautiful.”
“Thanks,” you smile.
“So, is this about you not paying me back for the ticket?” Jungkook suddenly feels guilty, having dipped out of Jimin’s manor once he saw him appear at the door. It was unrightful jealousy, and because of that he needed to drive away as fast as possible. “Because honestly, it was me messing with you. I really don’t need the money.”
“I figured, from the fact that I had to take the elevator up to the penthouse of the building.”
“So then why are you here?” Jungkook wobbles on the balls of his feet, unsure of what to do with himself.
“My ex-fiancé is in love with someone else,” you lay your cards out just like that, and Jungkook’s unprepared to deal.
“Holy shit, I’m so sorry—”
“Let me finish,” you cut in gently, “my ex-fiancé is in love with someone else, and that’s okay. We’ve been best friends since we were little, and we want nothing but happiness for each other. And for me? Happiness is right in front of me.”
You bite your lip, and Jungkook fights down the urge to run up and pull you into his arms. You must be so cold, running out without a jacket and rushing to his home. However, he lets you finish, and he holds himself down by clutching the door frame as casually as possible.
“I also have a big, fat crush on you,” you say boldly, “and I had to tell you as soon as I could. It took a twenty-minute phone call and some serious leverage from Jimin’s company to figure out where you lived. That receptionist is definitely not letting me use my frequent flyer miles next flight.”
“You harassed an airport receptionist just for me?” he smiles wanly, placing a hand on his chest, “I’m touched.”
“You make me excited to try new things, to be spontaneous and do things for myself,” with every statement you take a step further, and soon enough you’re in his dimly lit apartment. The plush couch in his living room looks awfully warm and comfy, and the light music that plays from his speakers is soft and soothing. “So, let’s spend the holidays together and see where this goes. And go to your art gallery tomorrow, because I did research you on the drive and found out you had to rush here because of a big show.”
“So you’re actually a stalker?” Jungkook teases, tugging you over to the couch.
He takes the lead, plopping himself on the couch first and inviting you to sit next to him. You take a detour and plant your body atop of him, and with an ‘oof’ the two of you are sinking.
“A stalker and a potential drug dealer does sound like a promising pair,” Jungkook jests, his hand palming the silky material of your ruched up ball gown.
“I’m sorry,” you pout, wrapping your fingers around the long tresses of his hair, “can you please stop bringing that up? It was judgemental of me.”
“I like when you’re judgemental,” he pokes your puppy-faced cheeks, ruddied with embarrassment. “I like picking fights with you and getting you all riled up.”
“Will you rile me up now?”
Sexy, he thinks. He figures a vixen has been hidden under you, one suppressed by a complicated engagement and many other factors he’d love to learn about in the near future. The situation at hand however, is far more pressing. Your body is finally warming up, and Jungkook tries to ignore the weight your body is causing, re-igniting an ache he felt hours ago when you two were squished against each other in the coach bus.
“I’m going to kiss you now,” you declare, and you look a little frustrated that Jungkook is taking so long to process this information, “and I hope I take your breath away.”
You taste like sugar and the softness that comes with the holidays. It’s tender and oh-so comforting, and Jungkook can’t help but squeeze your hips closer as your lips brush fervently against his. The feeling is both new and old, and Jungkook figures you’ve finally uncoiled a flame that you can no longer quell.
Soon enough your kisses turn hungry, and Jungkook has to remind himself that you two have only known each other for a total of twelve hours, and he isn’t sure of what’s appropriate to jump to due to the speed of your relationship. Once he feels the first roll of your hips, a liquid heat that Jungkook can’t help but return back, he pulls away from your soft lips. Not too far, but a few centimeters apart so that Jungkook and you can catch your breath.
“We should take this slow,” he starts, trying to make a reasonable impression now that you’re a guest at his home and finally settled from their long trip. “I really, really want to get to know you. And you’re so beautiful and I really do want to have sex but—”
“Jungkook, I have not had sex with someone in two years,” you speak with a depraved tone, as if it’s been centuries since you’ve been touched. He can’t help but throw his head back and laugh, “a night full of sex sounds like the best last-minute present ever.”
You bring his hand over to your core, the shiny glassy material of your gown doing nothing to hide the glimpses of pleasure you’re minutes away from experiencing. You whine desperately at the thought, and Jungkook’s a goner.
“Well, I guess I’m about to pull a Christmas miracle,” he murmurs against your lips, ready to work his magic.

Visiting your hometown
What happens when you take your man to your home town? As your memories, people and places come together how will he react?
A small/long drabble to get me back into writing. Enjoy!
Victor Creed
This mutant never thought that he would walk in your hometown. He didn't expect to see cultures that morph together into one special town, your town. A place where you grew up. So keeping all that in mind he was cautious. Various not to offend someone or to say a rude word in your mother tongue. For the first time in his life, he is frazzled and nervous. he will keep in his front pocket a small leaflet some words he heard you say a few times that may be of some assistance. trying to woo you.
-that old hag showed me the middle finger. let's go.
Unfortunately, anything that he says wrong, will be your responsibility to amend it. so good luck.
Loki
you just know that Loki will have your mother tongue in his little finger (that sounds weird but let's carry on) but do not be fooled, he can not survive the morning wave of people in the farmers market. something that is pretty much normal for you. Loki doesn't know how to feel when he sees the local butcher wrapping the meat in todays' newspaper giving it to buyers or how people shove him to the side as his black suit with the green scarf is more than brought down in value. he will hear the near shouts of Famers that are trying to sell their livelihood to him as his head goes from one side to another in a split second. he will easily get reeled in by the old farmer who just smells the innocence on the Midgardian addressed god. you know the moment you grabs his hand he looks at you.
-how did you ever survive in this chaos?
-I thought you said that chaos is your middle name.
-it is however my kind of chaos is more dignified.
-survive just a little bit more, I need to go to that man in the corner.
-oh, no...
Thor
we all in the fandom know that thor is a ball of joy. but when he lands in your city, your territory he is stoic. he is here on a mission and no one should stand in his way. he will glue himself to your side and he will hold the dictionary book in his mighty right hand and your hand in his left. he will not stand for wasting a day on mundane stuff that you do with him back in the HQ so say goodbye to lazying around. when you go to the oceanic part of your country you are now almost ready to drown him in the ocean. or just leave him on the road, it is getting that heavy.
-thor, think it is time to stop.
-what do you mean?
-to be honest, I don't know anymore I am so tired.
-you are right... let us stop. for 2 minutes and then you can drive again.
-I will leave you here.
Bucky Barnes
bucky loves to travel. he loves to see you in the role of a guide you tell him about the park where you cut your leg open and when you got to the hospital as a nun stood above you praying for your recovery. bucky loves to feel the fresh air going into his nose thinking to himself how this was the same air that you breathe in. he loves to see all the different parts of the city where you went to. even so much that he went to your former hairstylist.
-bucky, you don't have to do this.
-nonsense, doll. I want to experience it. just like you did.
-that was eons ago. and I wore super short hair, like a hedgehog.
-hedgehog?
-yeah, it was so short that I only put on gel and made small spikes.
- I will give everything I have and say that you looked beautiful.
-alright, your call.
Steve Rogers
steve cannot wait for enough for him to arrive in the city where you walked, ran, and laughed. he cannot wait to enter your old apartment and see all of the hidden pieces that he wants to know. he loves to help you clean the apartment and see a big box of your old photos. he will look with your through on the hard wooden floor with one arm around your shoulders as you talk about each photo. even showing him the photo of your sister.
-when will I meet her?
-I don't know.
-didn't you say that she lived here, still?
-yeah...
-I want to meet her. I think am ready for it.
-okay...
Bruce Wayne
you just know that when you told him to pack his bags to go with you he did his research. he knows when, how the city was built. he will try to memorize the tongue twisters and say them horribly wrong just to make you laugh. when he looks at your old apartment he tries to envision the day you left it all behind to go to Gotham and it breaks his heart to imagine you in tears.
-bruce.
you take his calloused hand feeling his fingers tighten the grip.
-sorry, I immediately imagined you when you moved out. I got sad.
-why?
-because, you surely cried.
-I did, a little, but this city didn't have that something.
-and what is that?
-you dumbass. now stop sulking we need to clean.
Clark Kent
as Clark arrived at the farm where your aunt lived he couldn't help feel but prepared. he saw the cows eating grabs and was ready in a split second to milk it just to show off his soft and delicate side. Clark heard the stories of your aunt, well one of them, and from what he concluded, for now, this aunt was the beginner level, nice one, the one who won't tear him a new one if he doesn't treat you right. as the door opened you greeted your aunt in your mother tongue and introduced your man. Clark shakingly trying to reply in the mother tongue feeling the few letters that stood together could fall more apart than from his mouth. your aunt laughed hugging him and roughly patted him on his back. almost like a punch if you will. you look at your aunt and Clark cannot help but stand behind you as he whispered.
-what did she say?
-she said that you seem stiffer than a goat's turd.
-you said that this aunt was nice.
-she is. but that is the way we express ourselves.
-with curse words???!!
-what better way.
Arthur curry
Arthur was relaxed when he arrived, he was laid back when he slept in your apartment but that all suicide jumped off a cliff as he shook hands with your mother. Your mom wasn't that intimating but he heard the stories of her standing to your abusive father and running away with just some change in her pocket and a used car. he knows that the woman in front of him is strong can make or break your relationship. so he held the coffee cup in his hands as if was the key to everything he needed to know how to make your mother happy. he saw how your eyes sparkled when you talked to her how your smile ever left for a second you take what seemed to him in complete gibberish but cute gibberish. your mother turns to him asking in English.
-so Arthur, can I call you by your first name?
-yes, madam. of course, you can.
-thank you. well, then Arthur what do you do for a living?
with a small nod from you, he tells the honest truth.
-I am a superhero. but minus the stupid cape. I am here to keep you and your daughter, of course, safe from all danger. and I hope you will like me!!!!
you turn to your mother with a small chuckle as you tell her in your mother tongue.
-he is helpless.
-he seems like it, good luck, Y/n.
Orm Marius
nothing can save his pulse from rising as he walked with the crowd of people in the town square only your hand which he held more than tightly enough. you stopped pointing at a big statue of a colonel on a horse placed in the middle of the square.
-he is a big deal.
-yes, I can imagine the poor people that had to lift it up to place it here.
-yes, but thanks to those people, people now in the present can always remember what they went through at that time.
he didn't find any specialness in the statute for him it lacked in far more than that he can count but when he saw your face looking at the statue he knew that whatever that stirred in you he wanted to see it every day. he only squeezed your hand placing a kiss on your knuckles.
-does this mean you want in your likeness?
-sure, but only if you will make it.
-oh, darling, that is a recipe for chaos.
The Joker
j never put effort into himself. he did in destruction, in chaos, in mayhem, and even in covering his white skin with some basic foundation as he meets your off the edge aunt. when you told him that every second sentence from her is a curse he was more than ready to meet her. because sometimes crazy people click with the people who like to curse. everyone knows that. so when he sat in the house of your crazy aunt he firstly observed, he watched you talked together and exchanged laughs, even more, when you ever brought to tears as you laughed off the curses she threw at you so playfully making even j smile. so when she turned to him it was game time. and you were the translator.
-my aunt asked what is that you do for a job?
-tell her I am the man of your dreams.
-I told her that.
-damn, then tell her-WHAT?!
you giggle at his shock as you heard the playful quote she told you when you were little and j wanted to know what she said.
-what did she say?
-she said "if a girl gives a man a hand, she will give him her ass"
-your aunt is a wise woman.
- I knew you would like her.
Duncan Vizla
Duncan likes to take walks and taking a walk with you next to him as you showed him around your old neighborhood and told him stores of the always pissed on metal slide and the always filled cafes that were always the pinpoints for some scammers he found in question why you like it so much. as you showed his around you stopped at your old elementary school. you showed him the main entrance was where everyone hurled in the morning hours and where you sat with your friends and talked about the horribly proffers that still to this day haunt you. something he heard you mumble in your sleep.
-she was that awful?
-yes, and people like here never get old it's like the evilness she has in her keeps her eligible for work.
-am i not the same?
he couldn't ask a stupider question. and for that, you punched him in the shoulder.
-don't compare yourself to her. you aren't evil.
-you are forgetting my job, darling.
-you kill for money, she kills for fun and to keep herself alive. a difference now let's go home I need to remind you just how good and attentive you can be.
-lead the way, dove.
hope you liked it. Tell me what you think❤️

Ok. A little different but I was thinking about Top Gun and I was wondering if you could do an Iceman x Mavericks little sister reader where they meet at a local bar near the base and slowly start falling in love
I hope you like this!😊💛
You Beat Me To It.
Tom "Iceman" Kazansky x reader
Warnings: swearing, alcohol consumption (moderate)
Masterlist
As cliche as it sounds, it had all started with an unfortunate accident in the popular little bar near the airbase.
It was a busy night in the small place, as it usually was, the room filled to the brim with pilots, RIOs, ground staff and civilians. Music blared somewhere overhead, garish lights illuminating the area in their own peculiar way, casting an odd glow over every person there. People gathered and collected around the bar itself, the tenders never kept idle, money flowing in from a variety of hands, the alcohol and beverages keeping spirits alive throughout the bustling room. It had been here that Iceman found himself.
Slider had insisted they went on that night, despite his own reluctance; it had been a long day at the base and all he had really wanted to do was to sleep and rest. Of course, he knew there was no arguing with his RIO, the young man far too persistent for his own good, so naturally the pilot had found himself dragged into the busy bar, a beer shoved into his hand almost instantly. It hadn't taken long for the girls to start flocking to him.
Iceman knew he was good-looking, so he wasn't surprised that he was quickly engulfed in a crowd of eager women, all of which flirting and baying for his attention, though he could already tell none of them would tickle his fancy. He kept them entertained, joking with them and keeping them on their toes the entire time as he peered at them over his sunglasses, which he insisted on wearing inside, smirking as they swooned over him. Hands seemed to be everywhere, pressing at his shoulders, chest and stomach, feeling over the muscle in his arms, creeping up his neck until he batted them away with a pointed look. Eventually, he had tired of this, however, and went to push out of the gathered group. Misjudging himself, Iceman had then collided with someone else, a surprised yelp escaping the person as moisture spread between them.
Turning to them, Iceman had been ready with a sharp quip, finding himself tongue-tied when he actually saw who had bumped into him.
"Careful, big guy." Is all she said before she collected her composure and left, heading towards the other end of the room, where some others from the airbase were.
Frozen in place momentarily, he had watched as she went straight to Maverick and Goose, the former slinging an arm around her shoulders as she approached, grins appearing on their faces.
From that moment onwards, the two seemed unable to avoid meeting each other in the bar.
Not even a week later, Iceman had been sat at the bar, thankfully alone for once, slowly drinking from a beer bottle in front of him, the pilot deep in thought. Once again wearing his sunglasses inside, Ice never realised someone had come up beside him to order drinks until they spoke to him directly.
"Last I checked, the sun tends to stay outside." She had commented, tapping her fingers on the countertop as she waited for her drinks.
Looking up, Iceman had once again gone to say something sharp, only to be surprised when he immediately recognised the person standing beside him.
"Maybe it's not the sun I'm protecting my eyes from." Is all he can manage, pretty stuck under the intensity of her gaze, a somewhat familiar feeling he had when talking with a particular pilot.
"No? What, then?"
"When I've figured it out, I'll tell you."
She had given him a quick smile, then, thanking the bartender as he gave her the drinks, before leaving, returning to the group of aviators she was with.
Everytime after this moment, every conversation between the two had been started by a sarcastic or teasing comment on his choice of eyewear, both of them often finding themselves at the bar at the same time. It had been after their fifth time meeting that she actually stayed with him for more than a minute, placing herself into the stool beside him as he fought off a couple of persistent girls, her face creased into a barely concealed smirk of amusement. When he'd finally gotten rid of them, she'd passed him a beer with a knowing look.
"You ever gonna take those off?" She had asked him, gesturing to his sunglasses, sipping her own drink.
"Only when you finally tell me your name." Iceman had replied, smirking at her. In their last few meetings, he'd found he'd started to enjoy her company, often looking out for her when he first enters the bar.
"You only had to ask." She shrugged, holding out a hand, "I'm (Y/n)."
Taking her hand, he told her his name before reaching up to remove his sunglasses.
"Well, I can see why you always have a fan club." (Y/n) acknowledged, smiling at him to show she meant no harm.
"Thank you, but they're a right pain." He laughed, placing his glasses in his breast pocket.
"I can tell." She chuckled, sipping her drink.
"You often come here?" Iceman inquired, curious as to her reason for coming.
"Yeah, pretty often. I meet up with my brother here." She casts him a look, "You might know him. Pete Mitchell? I guess you'd know him as Maverick."
Iceman had done a double take.
"Maverick? He's your brother?"
"Yep. And before you say anything, he's just as annoying out of uniform as he is in uniform." (Y/n) rolled her eyes, gesturing to the pilot across the room.
"I thought he might be."
Following this meeting, it wasn't too hard to arrange a repeat of it, the two finding that they enjoyed themselves a whole lot more than they thought they would. Of course, as soon as Maverick had found out his sister was hanging out with his rival, there had been some trouble.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" The young pilot had snapped at him a couple of months after he and (Y/n) had first met.
"What are you talking about?" Iceman had responded, looking up from the beer in his hand to acknowledge his fellow pilot.
"My sister, you asshole! What's your deal with her?"
"My deal?"
"Yeah, your deal! What the hell do you want with her?" At this point, Goose had come up to stop his pilot from going too far, laughing it off as he always did.
"She's my friend. I don't want anything with her except that." He had told Maverick, though he knew it was a lie: he had developed a particular affection for the girl, finding her presence very enjoyable to be in at all times.
"Bullshit. I know what you're like, you want to get laid." Maverick had been quick to spit back, this comment feeling particularly unfair.
"No, I don't. (Y/n) and I are friends. Suck it up, dickhead." Iceman bit back, scowling at his fellow aviator angrily now, standing up so that he loomed over him.
"And even if we were more, that's none of your concern, Pete." (Y/n)'s voice cut through their argument, the girl coming to stand beside Iceman, an action that clearly irritated her brother.
"He's not good for you, (Y/n). Stop hanging out with him." Maverick tried to reason with her,
"No, he's my friend, and you don't control me."
"Come on, (Y/n), I'm just looking out for you."
Sighing, (Y/n) had then done the one thing that stuck with Iceman for months to come.
"No, you know what? Fuck you, Pete." And with that, she had kissed Iceman on the lips, right in front of her brother.
It hadn't been a particularly long kiss, or a particularly passionate one, but it had left him wanting more, his lips tingling with want as she pulled away after a second. And Maverick's face afterwards had been totally worth it.
(Y/n) had quickly left after that, leaving Maverick to go sulk with Goose, Iceman fighting with his morality, before he also got up and followed her from the room. Catching up to her just outside, he had taken her arm in his hand gently, pulling her into him. Without letting her speak, he had kissed her again, glad when she had reciprocated, heart skipping a beat when their lips had moulded together almost perfectly. For what felt like years, they had kissed, neither wanting to let go, not until they had to, at which point they'd pressed their foreheads together and stood still, breathing heavily into each other's faces. At that moment, their relationship had become much closer.
*
In all honesty, he wasn't expecting her to turn up.
(Y/n) had been distant in past months, but that was understandable - her brother lost his best friend, so it made sense that she'd want to be there for him to help him through it. Unfortunately, that had meant that interaction between her and Iceman had been sparse, though he had managed to ask her along to his graduation, which he was very much looking forward to. He was certain he'd won the Top Gun trophy with Slider, and he wanted her to see that.
So when he notices her sitting at the back of the crowd as he takes the award, he feels a burst of pride flare to life within him. With her slight absence in recent weeks had come a revelation, a revelation that he intends to tell her today, whilst the confidence of this win is still rife in his body. Nerves run rampant through him, worried that it will go wrong, though he is mostly sure of what he wants to say; somehow, this is worse than flying a plane into battle, the reaction here totally unforeseeable for him for some reason.
As the crowd gathers to congratulate everyone, he politely pushes through them to the back, focused on (Y/n) as she waits for him, a smile on her face. Quick to reach his destination, he laughs as she swiftly runs to him and climbs into his arms, holding him tightly.
"Congratulations, Ice. I'm so proud of you!" She says to him, looking up into his eyes with a broad smile, pressing a kiss to his lips.
"Thank you, (Y/n)." He grins back, unsure of whether or not now is the right time.
"Reaching up to play with the hairs at the base of his neck, (Y/n) seemingly considers something, before she leans up to whisper to him.
"I love you, Tom."
His heart nearly stops at her words, body filling with happiness, relief flooding his mind at the thought that she feels the same way.
"You beat me to it. I love you, too, (Y/n)." He hums back, pulling her in for a deeper kiss.

Saiki K. - A list of Never-Adapted Chapters
As stated, a list and brief kinda long summery of the chapters never adapted into the anime. Only a few have good reasons aside from time though. (Also a list of reasons for anime only viewers to give the manga a read *cough*)
Warning: I spoil every single one of these chapters. So if you’re lazy and only want to read the non adapted chapters, go ahead and just read the chapter number/name, and avoid the summery. You will be missing a HUGE amount of unadapted scenes if you don’t read the whole manga though, which are present in nearly every chapter, adapted or not. They were likely cut for time like a lot of the chapters, but many add depth and important character development, and actually explain certain dynamics between characters present that were glossed over in the anime.
Reblogs appreciated...this took me so long qwq
Under the cut for sheer length
Chapter 0.1 “Telepathy”: A chapter mainly detailing info about Saiki’s telepathic abilities, and the plot revolves around him stopping his class from believing Nendo stole everybody's wallets.
Chapter 0.2 “Telekinesis”: A chapter mainly detailing info about Saiki’s telekinetic abilities, and the plot revolves around Nendo “saving” him from being bullied, and him realizing that Nendo actually isn’t a delinquent, and is a good friend. Interestingly, Saiki is able to hear Nendo’s thoughts during this chapter, in which he is internally telling Saiki to run away while he takes the attack from the bullies.
Chapter 0.4 “Precognition”: A chapter mainly detailing info about Saiki’s precognitive abilities (are you noticing a theme among the volume zero chapters?), and the plot revolves around him receiving a precognition about Nendo’s supposed funeral. Saiki follows Nendo around all day as they hang out in preparation of his date, and it’s (obviously) revealed the girl did it as a dare. Saiki uses his teleportation to apport a bowling ball Nendo had bought with the girl’s phone, and sends a message telling Nendo that she was simply busy and had to miss the date. The two go to Nendo’s house and it’s revealed the memorial was for Nendo’s already deceased dad, not him.
Chapter 0.5 “Teleportation”: A chapter mainly detailing info about Saiki’s ability to teleport/apport, and the plot revolves around Chouno attempting a magic show with a new assistant, after firing Ike-san (still homeless at the time) for making mistakes. His assistant, however, is purposely sabotaging him. Part way through, Ike-san shows up and thinks about how he should’ve been a better assistant, and his makeover is revealed. Near the end of the show a trick is attempted to where Chouno’s assistant is meant to teleport out of a box, but of course she does nothing. It is noticed that her and Ike-san have swapped places, due to Saiki apporting the two of them, and Chouno and Ike-san reunite.
Chapter 0.6 “Clairvoyance”: A chapter mainly detailing info about Saiki’s clairvoyant abilities, and the plot revolves around Kaido accidently spotting Saiki teleporting from a distance, and trying to find out who it was. Unfortunately, the drawing he is using to ask around for the “Trickster” looks nothing like Saiki. At the end of the chapter, Saiki appears before Kaido with the face of his crude drawing, and teleports out, to appease him. (Interesting tidbit about this chapter is that the mysterious stranger from the birthday arc appears in the class while Saiki uses his clairvoyance to watch Kaido. He also appears in the background of chapter 41 (the telepathy silencer movie chapter), but not in the anime equivalent.)
Chapter 0.7 “Astral Projection”: A chapter mainly detailing info about Saiki’s ability to astral project, and the plot revolves around Saiki using telekinesis to deflect a stray baseball from hitting him, but it instead hits Nendo, subsequently knocking him out right before he was due to play in a baseball game. Thus, Saiki uses astral projection to take over Nendo’s body and play in the baseball game for him.
Chapter 8 “ Fighting for a RePSIval!”: Saiki and Nendo end up stopping a failing musician from jumping off a roof due to his enormous debt. Nendo gets the idea to help the man gain money by selling the CDS of his music he had ordered in bulk, which were the result of the debt, due to them not selling. He performs live in the park, and Saiki accidently uses his telepathy to project the song to everyone in the are, causing them to believe it became stuck in their heads due to how good it was.
Chapter 00 “Special One-Shot: The DiPSIster of Psychic Saiki Kusuo”: This chapter falls in-between 8 and 9. It is a collection of oneshots set in a slightly different universe (likely a pilot or a very early storyline) in which it details information over several of Saiki’s powers, much like Volume 0.
Chapter 32 “ExPSIbition! Jump Festa”: Saiki goes out to Jump Festa to purchase merchandise due to an errand from his mom. There he meets Kaido, and the whole chapter’s gag is subtle advertisement for Jump Festa. The pair run into a crying child, who had lost his mom. He smartly refuses to go with Kaido to a help desk due to stranger danger, but Kaido comes back in his cosplay and since the kid vaguely recognizes him after he “proves” he really is that character (with Saiki’s help), the kid is returned to his mom.
Chapter 73 “PubliPSIzing the Popularity Contest Results!“: Saiki ends up in an alternate universe to where people’s popularity is shifted. (The chapter is based on the popularity poll that was held, hence that being the joke). Saiki is the most popular in this world, and he is bombarded with people until he hides away in the bathroom and transforms into Kuriko. This allows the original world’s Saiki to return, and he briefly explains why the world is this way, before sending Saiki, as Kuriko, back.
Chapter 88 “Press Play! A "Making Of" PSItory”: Saiki finishes watching a movie, and he remarks about how he loved it due to the quality of the acting and would like to visit the place it was filmed. Shortly after, he teleports to the location while returning the movie. He then decides to use his psychometry to see how the movie was filmed, and slowly it is revealed that the actors themselves were quite bad, especially the child star who Saiki believed to be a very good actor. The reason the movie was so good is revealed to be because the scenes in the movie were filmed as a supposed to be “behind the scenes”, and those were put in place instead of the actual filmed scenes.
Chapter 95 “The PSInnacle of the Golden Age of Heroes! A Fun Party Game”: Kaidou, Nendo, and Kuboyasu visit Saiki’s house the same day the game “J-Stars Victory Vs” was supposed to be arriving for him. A package arrives at the door, but instead of J-Stars, it is “C-Heroes Vale Tudo Battle”, a ripoff game by Saiki’s dad’s manga company. Kaido, Nendo, and Kuboyasu are all enamored by the game and reveal that they love Cognac, the magazine the game is for, and they all play the game. At the end of the chapter, the actual wanted game arrives, and the trio are just as excited and want to play that instead.
Chapter 102 “The Achromatic InviPSIble Boy”: (My personal favorite chapter) Saiki turns himself invisible to avoid running into his friends on the way to school, and winds up inside an empty storage room in order to wait for his invisibility to wear off. Unfortunately, a group of girls decided to use this room to change due to the peeping tom that’s been rumored around the campus. He hides by gripping onto the ceiling and waiting for them to leave, but when his invisibility is about to wear off the girls have still not left. After some time spent dodging and hiding, the door is opened by Saiki, revealing the actual peeping tom. The girls chase after him and Saiki uses the opportunity to escape.
Chapter 118 “The DiPSIster of the Rental Video Store”: Saiki, due to being bored, decides to go to a rental movie store to rent a movie to watch. Unfortunately, the current cashier is one that Saiki doesn’t favor very much, because she is high on his list for potential spoilers, but he remarks that at least the manager, a man who has seen nearly every movie, isn’t there. But (lmao), the manager switches positions with the cashier shortly after. Saiki then runs into Takahashi, who is purchasing pornography. In exchange for not telling the school about this, Saiki asks Takahashi to check out his movies for him. Takahashi gets caught like the dumbass he is and the plan is ruined.
Chapter 133 “An ExPSIlent Wife and Mother!? Mom's Class Reunion”: Saiki starts the chapter off by explaining how his mother is scatterbrained, and showing examples of it. Kurumi than remarks that she is going to her class reunion, which is being held in the city near her this year instead of way out in the country, meaning she can attend. When she arrives she starts getting reintroduced to her classmates who she hasn’t seen in 20 years, and talking about how different they are. Only one of the attendees, however, is actually from her class, and he reveals that the whole event is a plan to get closer to Kurumi, in order to use her for her eldest son’s wealth. Saiki, who had come to watch after having a bad feeling about the event, follows him into the bathroom and threatens him to stay away from his mom. Before he can finish, Kurumi accidently stumbles into the men’s bathroom, and her former classmate claims that her youngest son had attacked him unprovoked. Kurumi attacks the man, claiming her son would never do such a thing.
Chapter 134 “Kaidou and Kuboyasu's PSIpicions”: (The BEST Chapter) Kaidou and Kuboyasu are talking near their lockers about how neither of them got any chocolate for valentines day, and the conversation strays off to talking about Hairo. The two remark that they never see him talking to or dating girls, despite his popularity, and joke that he must be gay. The two are later found following Hairo, and bring up incidents that add to their growing suspicion. They soon find Hairo talking to Nendo, and begging the latter to join his club, stating that it has to be him. The conversation is normal, but Kaidou and Kuboyasu keep mistaking parts of it as being dirty. They watch Nendo and Hairo have a sumo match, and confront him after it, stating that it’s fine if he his gay, they were just curious. Hairo laughs it off and says he isn’t, but after another risque seeming scene (including an omake where Hairo and Nendo remark about keeping their relationship secret and how Hairo is willing to come out for him 🤔 ) the duo agree to stop thinking about it.
Chapter 165 “Train DiPSIster”: Saiki decides to take the train to a coffee shop 30 minutes away from his house instead of teleporting, claiming coffee jelly tastes much more satisfying if there is effort put into travelling there...though he does plan to teleport home. He explains how annoying train rides are for him, due to his telepathy, and how if someone playing music loudly is annoying for you, how much worse it is to listen everyone complain about said music. Over the course of the trip, Saiki begins to get anxious due to the crowds and his telepathy, and is relieved when several people get off. Unfortunately, he receives a precognition about the train stopping, and ends up saving a man from jumping in front of the train. Saiki winds up teleporting to the coffee shop.
Chapters 176 & 177 “PSIolving the Biggest Riddle!”: Saiki shrinks himself to retrieve his mother’s wedding band that had fallen down a drain, and when he jumps down, he remarks that the sink had become essentially 80 meters tall due to his height. He lays down in his bed afterwards, deciding to take a nap while he returns to normal size. When he wakes up however, he is much taller than normal. Due to the fact his body keeps growing, to avoid destroying the house anymore, Saiki teleports away to an island to hide, but he realizes that he teleported to an island closer to land due to his height throwing off his teleport. He hides under the water to avoid being caught, but ends up having to teleport away to avoid being seen. He accidently ends up on land, and nearby is a tribe of people, who are speaking a strange language. Before they approach him, Saiki ducks into his shirt, remarking that he feels embarrassed and is at a loss. He ends up floating and crashes to the ground once he reaches a certain height. It eventually clicks and he returns home, normal size. He had realized that his growing and shrinking powers were the same, but growing happened slowly, and shrinking happened quickly, hence why he would return to normal size slowly. The cause of this issue? The off comment he made about the sink “Becoming 80 meters tall.”
Chapter 201 “A Miraculous InvenPSIon”: Saiki notices his dad using a tablet and asks him what it his, to which Kunihara explains. Once he remembers he has work, Kunihara runs off, but not before offering his old tablet to Saiki, saying he can use it to read books and buy things. A little while later, Saiki is amazed by the tablet. He remarks about the shopping sites he an use to buy not only physical copies of books on, but digital ones as well. He keeps thinking about how amazing the online shopping sites and recommendations are, meanwhile he performs basically the same exact thing to his mom, when she requests he go out and buy groceries, as he instantly apports them for her, and also added foil because he had a precognition about her running out. While searching for appliances, he stumbles on the coffee jelly maker he owns, and finds out it has shitty reviews, but everyone recommends a newer model. He looks for the cheapest price of it, and finds an ad claiming to sell it for 100 yen. However, he falls for the trick of a ridiculous shipping fee, and his father laughs and remarks how just like his mother, he got scammed. Angry, Saiki teleports to the factory and threatens them into giving him the model for 100 yen, claiming that he doesn’t have to pay the shipping fee if he picks it up himself.
Chapter 229 “No Need for Bath Salts! Taking a Dip in the PSIcret Hot Spring”: Saiki decides to take a visit to a secluded hot springs in the mountains to relax himself, but unfortunately two strangers decided to hike there at the very same time. He cannot just teleport or walk away, since he didn’t bring his clothes with him, having teleported there to begin with. To make them leave, he decides to heat the hot spring up, so that the two men get overheated and decic to leave. One of the men, however, decides to try and stay in the water that is slowly gaining heat, in order to outlast Saiki. The man eventually gets out and faints, and to avoid having to help them, Saiki feigns having fainted from the heat as well, causing the two men to leave on their own.
Chapter 243 ″Welcome to PSIberspace”: Saiki’s dad has a new VR headset, and while he has to leave for work he offers it to Saiki to play with. Saiki is enamored by the horror game his dad was playing, being that it’s able to surprise him. The jump scares, however, cause him to accidently use his telekinesis, which is actually blowing stuff up at his dad’s workplace, instead of his house.
Chapter 245 “Trending on a Streaming PSIte”: Kaidou, Nendo, Kuboyasu, and Saiki are all hanging out, and Kaidou mentions he has a camera and wants to become a youtuber (Yotubo-er is what it’s called). At a café, the group suggests video ideas, such as Teruhashi. In order to prevent this plan, however, Saiki uses telekinesis to stab french fries into their eyes when Teruhashi ends up walking by the café. On the walk home, however, Saiki receives a premonition about all the video ideas they suggested becoming popular, including one of him using his abilities on the french fries. He obtains the camera from Kaidou and deletes the footage, which had been recording due to the camera being on the entire time.
Chapter 255 “APSIsting In Mediating A Long-Term Marriage!”: Saiki and his parents go to visit his grandparent’s, only to learn the pair is fighting, and his grandmother would like a divorce. The start of the entire fight is revealed to be because Kumagoro left the toilet seat up, and Kumi explains how she’s had to put the seat down for 40 years. The reason she was so adamant to divorce as well was because Kuusuke had pushed her to it. Kumi gets ready to leave the house, especially after Kumagoro purposely leaves the lid up one last time. Saiki stops her and tells her to put down the lid one more time, only for the words ‘I’m Sorry’ to be written on it. The fight is resolved.
Chapter 264 “Please Go Watch the Live ActPSIon Movie!”: A manga Saiki reads is getting a live action movie, and he is particularly upset about it. His dad happens to be the editor for the manga, and takes him to the filming set to change his mind. (By the way, this is the best chapter for showcasing Kunihara’s shittiness as a father. He physically attacks his son several times. Missing, of course, but he still actively attacks him. Kunihara is a horrible person, let alone father.) Saiki views the set and is perturbed by the actor choices, specifically Makoto as the lead character. He is even more upset to learn that the movie features an original character (like a badly written wattpad fanfiction), and that the end of the movie even features the death of the main character, and Kunihara explains that it differs from the manga greatly. He explains to his son that the changes make the movie better, and Saiki ends up agreeing after he winds up viewing the actual live-action movie.

May I request some La Squadra childhood headcanons (upbringing/family/habits/demeanor) :)) Maybe Mista and Abbacchio too if it’s not too much trouble since we already saw a bit of baby Bruno and it made me so curious about the other two! I always imagined Abbacchio to be a bit of a teacher’s pet as a kid lol. Your writing brings me life tysm!!!!
warnings for abusive family, human experimentation, misogyny, illness, hospitals, death, etc!
Risotto’s family did not care much about him. He’s the middle child of five - they grew up in a rural part of Sicily, in a house that used to be a farmhouse but was merely a house by the time Risotto came along (aside from a flock of chickens constantly in the gardens). He had a traditional Italian family full of people - various aunts, uncles and cousins - but his cousin was his favourite, seeing in Risotto’s quiet nature something similar to his own. Risotto was uncomfortable with there being too many people around and found his home life cramped and uncomfortable and loud. At the local village school he was often hunted out for games of sport (his height and muscle growing in at an early age), but he shied away from making friends, not sure how to handle himself around people who shouted and laughed, envying his siblings for everything seeming so natural. He often stayed with the cousin, and it’s through them he discovered metal music and his now signature look. His parents didn’t have time for him, but his cousin always did, becoming a makeshift father figure where Risotto’s failed. He grew very attached, and as we know, his cousins death hit him hard.
Formaggio grew up with a single father; his mother simply disappeared in the middle of the night and he never heard from her again. He was always loud, brash and cocky - his father was much the same way. They moved around from place to place, his father taking odd jobs to sustain them and never really getting the hang of them. His father was fairly young and a perpetual teenager, and Formaggio was much the same way. Despite living in occasional poverty, he always had a smile and he and his father were close to one another. He did not really make friends - other children were aware of his unwashed clothes, the fact his lunch was not made as neatly as theirs, the fact that his address was a one-bedroom apartment on the bad side of town - so he turned to acting out and violence, gaining a reputation as a Badly Behaved Child. His father fell into Passione in the need to support his son, and like father like son, Formaggio followed in his footsteps at fourteen (finding a camaraderie and sense of responsibility he never had at school and subsequently just stopping going there).
Illuso got into Passione for the money and the power. He was an only child and he had a nice upbringing, honestly - he just found himself not special at anything, and he desperately wanted to be. He flitted from hobby to hobby and interest to interest; he was clever and he noticed things, and neither of his parents really knew how to deal with their sharp-tongued child. He was a bit of a bully at school, but not the kind that is ever found out - Illuso’s bullying was quieter than that, whispered words and rumours that never seemed to find their way back to him. He was well-acquainted with blackmail before he turned sixteen. He knew how to sniff out weaknesses in other people - he was always surrounded by people, but it was a lottery as to whether they liked Illuso or whether they just didn’t want to be on his wrong side. Always willing to volunteer for things, too confident for his own good - eventually, he stopped caring about being ‘special’ at something, and just worked on being the ‘best around him’.
Melone’s backstory can be found here. Both of his parents were academics and lecturers in genetic science, and he’s the eldest child by eight years. His family moved around rather a lot. He has two younger sets of twins as siblings; one set of boys, and one set of girls. Growing up, his parents considered him less interesting and a little slow - he turned to science and genetics as a way to get their attention and praise; despite the fact he showed a natural affinity for it, by this time, they were far more interested in experimenting on their younger children and Melone was ignored. His nature is curious and insistent - he learnt to insist or to be ignored. He had to look after his younger siblings a lot growing up; they were home-schooled where he was not, and the strange separation of them and him and all of the children at school (Melone not quite fitting into either group) meant that he always seemed just a little off.
Prosciutto is a mafia man through and through. His family are entrenched in old bloodlines and uninvestigated deaths - unfortunately, though, they are a family that had somewhat fallen from grace by Prosciutto’s birth. The definition of faded glamour and keeping up appearances; rooms in a big, drafty old house that have an old bed and a falling apart dressing table. His father always talked to him about how it was his and his brothers’ job to keep the bloodline going - a traditional chauvinist of a man. His mother was very quiet and pretty; she encouraged him to small interests like old music and fashion, but was always silent around her husband. He grew up knowing his life was expendable. Youngest son of two; his elder brother died within months of finally being given his assignment within Passione and honestly, Prosciutto knows his father would rather he have died. A quiet little boy who did not make friends (he had a tutor) and had too much of the weight of the world on his shoulders in the knowledge of how many of his mother’s jewels were pasteboard, where the guns were kept, and just how many people he saw regularly were murderers. At his assignment at sixteen, Prosciutto had to learn exactly how to blend in, because many of the mafiosos he was suddenly surrounded by did not appreciate what they saw as his superiority.
Pesci was an only child of a single mother; his father passed away when he was young. He was rather sickly growing up, and it made his mother indulgent - despite growing up fairly middle class, he never wanted for anything, and they lived well beyond their means. His mother fussed over him, always afraid that he was going to have a relapse into his childhood illness - very much a child wrapped in cotton wool. It gave him his own complex about taking risks; he didn’t want to get hurt. He didn’t want to be rejected by other children. He was slow at his schoolwork but devoted to his mother, and other children saw him as a prime target to bully. He was kicked around a lot at school and it eventually made him too easy to subdue when he suddenly filled out and shot up and became a threat; found himself, too often, a henchman to more articulate, meaner children. Grateful to be accepted, he went along with the flow, despite feeling in the very core of his gut that he was disgusted by them. He ended up in Passione because his mother needed medical treatment and in trying to sort it out realised just how much debt they were in.
Ghiaccio just had a normal run-of-the-mill described as ‘average’ by everyone upbringing - both of his parents, an only child, a mother with a professional job, middle-class. His father was partially deaf - in my experience, people with deaf parents either speak very loudly or very quietly, and Ghiaccio has gone for the former. He learnt LIS at a very early age, and it’s part of the reason he can be so anal about pronunciation and language as a whole - he’s utterly fascinated by it, and that fascination started in early childhood. His parents were also indulgent of him, but having a younger brother meant that he didn’t get the full brunt of that indulgence - his brother was a little more of a ‘rough and tumble’ boy. He liked football and weights, and when he took up a sport Ghiaccio’s parents decided Ghiaccio should learn to do something too and asked him what he thought - they were surprised when he said ice skating, but figured he would go into ice hockey or something. He didn’t. For a while, he was fairly well-known in the competitive figure skating under eighteens circuit. It gave him two things; one, a competitive need to win and be good at things (and a propensity to tantrum when he lost) and two, a taste for flashy, expensive things (have you seen this man’s car). His parents eventually didn’t know how to deal with his arrogance, and he fell into Passione based on a ‘sponsor’ he ended up embroiled with at nineteen when his parents didn’t want to fund his ‘hobby’ anymore (they kept pouring resources into his younger brother, of course - Ghiaccio always felt a bit like they didn’t take him seriously). He left ice skating competitively behind, but he couldn’t leave behind the nice things or the anger issues he accrued.
I’ve written about Sorbet and Gelato’s childhood/backstory here! But a brief, shorter version:
Gelato had a loving family and a privileged upbringing. Always enough money, always enough to eat - an only child, who perhaps was a little rowdy at school but whomst his parents were very proud of. Both of them were traditional types; thinks a man should be strong, should be the real driving force of all relationships - they were extremely proud of him going into the army. Cleverer than people tend to give him credit for, sharp-eyed, a constant humming need to be doing something with his hands.
Sorbet was orphaned at a young age in a house fire and taken in by a church orphanage. He’s quiet but equally clever; his cleverness tends to be a little less in your face. He was a comforting presence to other people and took care of the younger boys (even now, he feels a sense of duty to some of La Squadra) - being low-voiced, soothing and commanding. He spent a lot of time reading. The church orphanage was poor; Sorbet has learnt to appreciate luxury where Gelato takes it for granted and it’s part of the reason he’s so concerned with finances even in his forties.
Abbacchio grew up in a houseful of women. His father left when he was still young; he was . . . not a nice man, and Abbacchio has vague memories of his mother carefully applying concealer over black eyes. It’s part of the reason Abbacchio became a police officer - knowing that he was still out there, not paying for what he’d done . . . Abbacchio wanted to ensure other people did not go through it. He had a little sister (by six years) who adored him, and his grandmother (who had once been an opera singer and still had a touch of that old-time glamour). He was fairly well off; at least, after he and his mother went to live with her mother again. His grandmother was EXTREMELY indulgent of her serious pretty-eyed grandson (his affinity for opera comes from her) who wanted so hard to be a Good Man. He was made fun of as a child for being a teacher’s pet and a nerd, you’re right - he adopted being a goth and dressing like that fairly early in his life. Nobody was going to threaten to punch him in leather and black lipstick, he thought - and nobody, too, needed to know that his CD player was blasting Monteverdi and not heavy metal.
Mista was the only child of an unreliable mother and a father who left when he was four (he kept very vaguely in touch; Mista has three little sisters who he sees occasionally but keeps quiet about his employ to. After the events of VA, he’s established a fund for each of them, but he wasn’t really permitted to see them much growing up). Even after his parents leaving and his neighbour’s loss of an eye (and the subsequent setting in of his fear of the number four), he was an easy-going child who made friends easily and smiled at all and sundry; he was never particularly book-clever, but he was good-natured and had many friends. His mother’s lack of reliability meant that he became very fond of simple things other people took for granted - when she died, he was sad, but his life did not change much. He’d already learnt to fend for himself when it came to food and the like; often coming home to an empty house and simply making do. (The lack of food in the house is part of the reason he gained such an affinity for things he saw as luxuries like wines and cheeses). He learnt to use his dark eyes and charming smile and warm nature to win sleepovers with schoolfriends and evening meals with their parents. Always a little bit behind his peers in having cool gadgets or interesting stories, Mista was content just to have a simple life and good health.

ABO Stony AUs! (Part 2)
As promised, here is part 2! [link to Part 1] I’m not sure if I’m gonna make part 3 but there are still a bit ABO fics left.
A King For Christmas by iam93percentstardust
Summary: In 1867, Tony Stark flees New York after refusing to marry the alpha his parents chose for him. His money runs out in the small kingdom of Dacia, ruled over by King Steven of the Rogers line. Somehow, and he’s not entirely sure how, he ends up accepting the position of nanny to the king’s four children: Harley, Peter, Sarah, and Morgan.
Tony bonds with the children easily but their father is harder to get to know. Steve is still grieving his wife’s death four years earlier. His continued mourning has turned the once bright halls into dark and somber shadows of their former glory. Tony isn’t entirely certain what he can do but he knows that he has to do something or else the whole country, so attuned to their leader, will sink into despair. He begins by reconciling the king with his young children.
Meanwhile, the children have decided that it’s high time their father fall in love again—and Tony is the obvious choice. They concoct elaborate plans to force the two together, hardly realizing that Steve and Tony are falling in love, not through their shenanigans but through the quiet moments they share bonding over the love they have for the children.
What, Like It’s Hard? by JehBeeEh
Summary: Omega Tony Stark has it all, until his alpha boyfriend breaks his heart. In an effort to win him back, he follows the alpha of his dreams to Harvard Law School, where he discovers there might be more to being the first omega at the prestigious school. He also meets another alpha that might just make him forget the one he drove across the country for.

I Love You (From the Bottom to the Top) by RomancebyFaye for Reioka
Summary: Steve and Tony have a great relationship. They may have only been dating for a few months, but the truth is, they had been in love for years before that. Their relationship is only getting better from adding this new intimacy and Steve is very satisfied with how open Tony is in the bedroom. He’s giving and generous, sometimes to a fault, just as he is with everything.
And then Steve comes home early and catches sight of something he wasn’t meant to see. The shock he gets from the sight of watching his alpha ride a toy might not have been meant for him, but it doesn't stop him from wanting.
Now, if he can just figure out how to tell Tony how much he wants what he witnessed without putting his foot in his mouth…
Or Tony offers Steve something in the bedroom and Steve misunderstands the offer.
Until he doesn’t.
A Prime, Divided by avengersasssemble
Summary: Facing his and his infant son's possible death sentence, young prince Tony runs away to the only place where his father would dare not follow: the Northern Territories, known to house the most savage and brutal Alphas--including their bloodthirsty leader, the Prime Alpha. Forced to navigate fatherhood and diplomacy while being unable to speak the Northern language, Tony has to make decisions to save his son, even at his own expense.
Oversight by ShyOwl
Summary: It really wasn’t Steve’s fault that no one knew he was an omega.
I Love You 3000 by NazakiSama166
Summary: After the death of his husband, the only thing Steven Rogers could think of was going on and dying in one of his missions, and Steven was happy to get his wish.... that was until he woke up in a strange universe when people can shift into wolves and men can get pregnant... Oh, and did he mention that Tony was there too and was in love with his younger jackass self? And let's not forget about Peggy...
Life just loves to mess with him...
Dear Enemy by AvengersNewB
Summary: Alpha Steve and omega Tony are SHIELD agents who don't always see eye to eye, but some benefits on the side help them work things out in the most non-traditional way. Steve's jealousy after an unfortunate encounter with Ty Stone, however, makes things complicated.
Love Match by FestiveFerret
Summary: Tony had but one goal for the season: secure a marriage proposal from an alpha with the position and means enough to remove him from his father's house. Love was wholly irrelevant to the matter.
Stuck in a... by Annie D (scaramouche)
Summary: Steve gets into a serum-enhanced rut. Tony figures that there’d be a long list of people who’d volunteer to help Steve out, but there’s only one person Steve wants.
A Late-Night Snacks, and Other Good Ideas by Annie D (scaramouche)
Summary: Steve's heightened senses means that he always knows when Tony's in heat. One night, he finally does something about it.
citrus and lavender by JehBeeEh
Summary: Steve laid Tony on his bed as delicately as he could manage. Which was ridiculous because he knew, logically, that Tony was absolutely fine. JARVIS himself had told him. And that’s 100% why he had fought Natasha so hard on Tony not needing to go to medical when they came back, even though he probably could use the check up. Yup. That was definitely the only reason he had insisted on bringing Tony back to the penthouse. No other reason at all. If you keep this up, you just might start believing it, he thought to himself ruefully. Tony wasn’t his. He had made it very clear that he didn’t need some alpha in his life to mess with everything he’d worked so hard to accomplish. Especially not Steve Rogers.
Found Love in a Hopeless Place by crispybacon
Summary: Steve really, really did not want to tag along with his brother to the bar, no matter how many times the jerk nagged him that he needed to get laid. Just because Bucky’s known his Omega since kindergarten, and the pair have loud obnoxious sex in their shared small two bedroom apartment, didn’t mean Steve needed to stick his knot in any Omega that looks his way.
That’s not the kind of Alpha Steve was.
Or, Steve goes to a bar and meets an Omega with a complicated past that changes his life forever.
This is Not a Drill by sabrecmc
Summary: “Can I—can I see him? I mean meet him. Uh…welcome him to the team?” Tony clarified, probably not very well, he knew.
“Well…there’s a bit of an issue with that,” Fury said, and Tony figured this was where Fury got to whatever it was that had really forced his hand and made him call Tony in, knowing how much the man detested having to do so. “You see, well. He was suspended in the ice for nearly seventy years,” Fury began. Tony nodded along, because he could do math.
“I’m sure he has a lot of adjusting to do—“ Tony started.
“Seventy years,” Fury repeated, cutting Tony off and leaning back in his chair and making it rock slightly. “Of no suppressants.”
“Oh,” Tony managed to choke out past the lump that had suddenly formed in his throat. “Oh.”
Everybody's got a hungry heart. by Perlmutt for ShadowsintheClouds
Summary: Tony Stark has never experienced a true heat due to the suppressants he's taking on a daily basis. Society accepts him as a beta, together with his friends and teammates and the alpha he's secretly in love with. But some things are just too big to be kept hidden forever. An unfortunate turn of events forces Tony to reveal his biggest secret to the world...
Baby, Just Say Yes by betheflame for starksnack
Summary: In a world where Tony's life looks a lot like Taylor Swift's, Steve realizes there always more to omegas than meets the eye.
Apple Pie and Sunshine by betheflame, starksnack
Summary: Even though they've loved each other for years, Steve and Tony have each convinced themselves that their one-night-stand was a fluke. Thing is, it also resulted in Tony getting pregnant and as the birth approaches, perhaps it's time to use their words.
blue since the day we parted by funkyspacegirlfriend

Sex Tape
Pairings: Johnny Depp x Reader
Request: “ If you take requests, would you consider doing johnny reaction to like theirs sex tape getting leaked? Reader may also be a celebrity or not. Whatever you prefer “ - @fanficshitandother
Warnings: Mentions of sex but no actual smut
Word Count: 1800
A/N: Sorry this one is so short. I was having a harder time writing it than I thought I would. I hope you enjoy!

Shit.
You knew this was a bad idea when he suggested it but no. He just had to have this video “for when he was away filming.” It always ended like this, though, right? It always started out as fun and games until bam! Celebrity sex tape leaked!
The gossip talk show video that your best friend had sent you was still playing on your phone and you watched in silent horror as the red haired woman talked about your sex life to her male counterpart as if she had any actual right to have an opinion. In the top corner was a picture of you and Johnny at the red carpet for the premier of the Crimes of Grindelwald, his arm around your waist and both of you smiling for the paparazzi pictures. “Okay, guys. You are going to want to hear this,” She started, clasping her absurdly long acrylic-clad fingers together and holding onto her knees, “So there has been yet another sex tape leaked and I want you to guess who’s it is.” She looked over to her co-host. He had a push broom mustache that was bleached blonde to match his hair.
The man hummed before waving his hand, which also donned long yellow acrylics, “I swear, Laurel, if this is another Kardashian or Paris Hilton tape, I’m gonna scream. That’s such old news.”
“Actually, it’s someone that I certainly didn’t expect. Johnny Depp and his wife, Y/N L/N.” She dropped the news and the co-star’s mouth dropped.
“Are you serious? Like Jack Sparrow, Sweeney Todd, Willy Wonka, Johnny Depp?” He asked in total shock, “I didn’t expect that either! But you know what? I feel like he’d be really good in bed.”
He and Laurel both laughed, “You’re so bad!” She squealed, hitting him with the paper notes in her hand, “But, between you and me,” She leaned in, as if she was telling an actual secret that wasn’t being broadcast on the internet, “I did see it.”
“And?”
“It was pretty hot, I can’t lie. That Y/N is a very lucky girl indeed.” The pair giggled like a pair of school girls.
You were absolutely mortified. How did this happen? How many people had seen it? Who had seen it? Oh God… all you could imagine was your family stumbling across the video or, debatably worse, Johnny’s kids. This had to be one of the worst moments of your life.
You turned off the video and quickly dialed your husband. “Hello, love.” He greeted cheerily on the other end. The faint sound of cars passing in the background told you he was probably driving home from the meeting he had been at.
“Did you see it? Did you hear it?” You asked frantically.
“What?” He asked, confused.
“The video! The video got leaked!” You ran your fingers through your hair messily, sliding down the wall to sit on the floor.
“What video?” He questioned, not sounding like he fully understood what had happened, but then you could almost feel the weight of realization falling on him, “Wait, our video?”
“Yes! Our video!” You were yelling at this point, not at him but at the situation and thankfully he understood that.
“Okay, okay. We’ll- Hang on my manager is calling. Probably to tell me about it. I’ll be home in five minutes. I love you.” He signed off your call quickly before hanging up without giving you the chance to respond.
While you waited for him to get there, you spiraled down the rabbit hole that was the tabloids and social media. Your phone buzzed off the charts as everyone from your sister to Helena Bonham Carter called you to ask if you were okay. Of course, you weren’t. But it was one phone call from a former college roommate, Sheila, had really gotten your blood boiling.
“It’s okay! If anything, this is just going to make you more famous! Look at all the other celebs who’ve had their sex tapes leaked. They’re like, super famous.” Sheila sounded more excited than she should have, which certainly made you question her motives behind calling you in the first place. Since marrying Johnny, you’d had the unfortunate displeasure of having to cut a few people off from your past who had randomly called you up after years of little to no contact, asking more favors in the movie industry, money, or even just for the clout of saying they knew you. There really was such a downside to this whole marrying famous person thing that nobody ever really talked about - not that you would take it back, though, of course. You loved Johnny more than anything.
Still, when the words left her mouth, you felt a flash of anger swell up, “Contrary to what a lot of people might believe, being famous actually kind of sucks,” You spat angrily, “And call me crazy, but I don’t exactly feel thrilled at knowing the whole world as access to a video of my naked ass!”
“At least it’s a good naked ass, though! Your boobs are looking pretty good too. Did you get them done?” She asked bluntly, still not a care to be heard in her voice. You swore you could almost detect a fake valley girl accent too.
Your mouth dropped open in disbelief at the words coming from her voice, “I can’t believe you.” Without giving her a chance to respond, you clicked the off button before flipping her off through the screen, though you knew she couldn’t see it. The audacity of some people.
The front door swung open, drawing your attention as Johnny hurried into the house, setting his bag down by the front door. “How bad is it?” You asked, knowing his manager must have told him the full extent.
“Do you want the truth?” Johnny saw as panic and humiliation swept across your face, knowing that perhaps that wasn’t the best way to break it to you that it was pretty bad. He stepped forward and wrapped you in his arms, “I told Harrison to take ‘em down. Whenever he found one, he said he’d get it deleted.
You sighed defeatedly, “That doesn’t stop the fact that a bunch of people already saw it.” Your arms wrapped around Johnny’s torso and you allowed your head to fall against his chest, trying to calm yourself with his scent- exotic spicy cologne and old books.
His large hand came to stroke through your hair, “That is true,” He conceded with a heavy breath, “But, it also means that fewer and fewer people will continue to see it.” There was a pause in which neither of you said anything, only took a few minutes to hold onto each other while you thought about the future now, “Y’know, I can’t help but feel like this is partly my fault. I shouldn’t have asked to make the video. I’m sorry, Y/N.”
You shook your head in disagreement, “I agreed to do it too. It’s on both of us. In retrospect, we should have put it on an actual VHS tape or something that would be more difficult to get into the tabloid’s hands.”
You were tired of this - of this constant running from the vultures that prayed off your every misstep just to turn them against you and create headlining stories. You felt like you couldn’t even breathe without a scandal unless the media allowed it. You were just grateful that you happened to marry one of the most private actors in Hollywood, knowing that whatever pressure you felt, more public figures like Angelina Jolie had it much worse. Still, something inside you stirred, a decision that you’d stop living in fear.
Johnny pulled back and gave you that infamous cocked eyebrow look of wonder, one that you’d mostly seen him use as Jack Sparrow. Little did everyone know, it was a gesture he’d picked up on doing in real life as well. “Do we even have a VHS player anymore?”
You chuckled and buried your head back into his white shirt, “I don’t even know. I feel like there must be one laying around somewhere. And if not, I’ll go down to a pawn shop and pick one up just for you to use while filming.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean,” You leaned back, pulling on his shirt to bring him down closer to your level, “That if we’re going to be making you another one of these videos, it’s gonna be on something that stays only between us.”
Your husband nearly choked on air, “Another one? After what just happened?”
“Only if you want to and only if it stays on something physical like a CD or VHS that we can mutually agree to burn and destroy if anything happens.” You giggled and Johnny joined in with a low chuckle as well, “But… the video was leaked. We knew that was a risk when we made it. But, y’know what? I’m tired of living in fear of the paparazzi and public. They’ve already seen us fuck. There’s not much else we’ve got to lose.”
His dark eyes flashed with mischief before he took off in a light jog down the hall without a word. You followed him, “Where are you going?” You giggled, turning the corner to find him digging through your little Harry Potter closet under the stairs.
When he stood up, he shook his long hair out of his eyes messily and held up an old tape recorder that had to be at least twenty years old. Johnny swayed towards you, jokingly flirtatious as he spoke, “Well, Mrs. Depp, it would seem that you’re in luck because your husband likes to hoard old shit.”
The grey and black machine seemed to stare at you and some hesitation set in again but then you remembered what you’d said: I’m tired of living in fear… there’s not much else we’ve got to lose.
Johnny flicked open the side compartment and his eyes opened in surprise to find a tape still in there. He lifted it from the slide and looked it over, shocked to see that it appeared to be an unused blank tape, “Well, well, looks like we’re in luck.”
Biting your lip, you looked up at him with those eyes before grabbing his hand and running upstairs to your bedroom, dragging him along. “The world thinks they’ve seen us fuck. They only got a preview.”
“Only a preview? I thought we went pretty hard last time?” He countered with a low challenging laugh.
You turned around at the top of the stairs, one hand on the banister as you turned to face him. His body collided with yours, his hand reaching around the small of your back to steady the two of you and you arched your body into his, being sure to brush your body against his groin, “Oh, Johnny… we’re both throwing our backs out tonight.”

Visitation of a Lover - Yandere! Ghost Taehyung x reader
Happy Halloween! i hope everyone has a great evening and i hope you will enjoy this oneshot 🖤
Life never ceased to pass by. People were born and grew old, created their own families, earned themselves a legacy. Meanwhile, all that Kim Taehyung could do was watch. For hundreds of years he wandered around his estate, because he had nowhere else to go. No one that lived in his house even cared to acknowledge his life or history - he hadn’t heard his name leave the lips of his family in decades, and the portrait he’d commissioned of himself when the house was first built remained tucked away in the attic.
At the very least, he was thankful that he never had to see anything distasteful. The current occupant of his house - a very distant family member - was a mild mannered widower who only ever ventured into half of the rooms of the house, leaving plenty of space for Taehyung to live. The ghost had even been so bold as to start leaving a physical presence - in the dusty studio where he had spent many afternoons writing his diary when he was alive, he’d taken up painting landscape views. There was the slight risk that the old man could walk in and have a heart attack upon seeing a floating paintbrush but considering that he could barely make the trek to the kitchen for a cup of tea, Taehyung was more than happy to take that risk.
“Oh really? Good golly, you have to send me a picture?” Taehyung had been enjoying a light novel in the lounge when he heard the elderly man cheering loudly in his study. Curious, he folded the corner of the page and tucked the book away, phasing into the next room to see what was so exciting.
“A baby boy! Just like I wanted!”
He peered over the shoulder of his kin, seeing his open laptop on the polished maplewood desk. What the old man was so delighted by was an email showing a picture of a small newborn baby being cradled in a woman's arms. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that this was a new member of the family, but what piqued Taehyung’s interest more was the woman holding the child. Even with her forehead drenched in sweat and her body covered by a not-so-flattering hospital gown, there was something ethereal about her. For the first time in ages Taehyung felt some yearning in his heart.
He wanted… no, he needed to meet her. Maybe this angel could be the salvation he needed, the key to him escaping his mundane existence in purgatory.
It just so happened that through death that they would be brought together.

The elderly resident passed away a week after his great-grandson was born. Unfortunate timing, as he never even got to see the infant. Taehyung, however, was more fortunate, as the wake was held at his manor as per family tradition.
It was at this somber occasion he was able to see the woman who had piqued his interest up close. Maternity had had its toll on her body with her breasts sagging slightly and her figure still slightly bloated but the black funeral dress still looked quite beautiful, Taehyung noted. Interesting, how she lacked the figure most men would desire yet her husband still looked at her as if she was Helen of Troy reincarnate.
He found himself tailing her for the most of the occasion, still keeping a safe distance out of fear one of his fingers could brush against hers and scare her away for good. It was through this stalking he learnt of the young woman’s name - (Y/N).
She was quiet and respectful - as to be expected at a wake - but a bright smile lit up her face when she showed pictures of her newborn child to anyone who asked. It was way more intriguing watching her interact with everyone at the wake than to read one of the romantic books he’d poured over so many times.
“We’ve been reading through the will. And it seems Grandpa Kim left you his estate, rather than the money.” (Y/N)’s father-in-law was speaking to the couple in a hushed voice, drawing the ghost’s attention instantly.
“Really?”
“Well, it was updated quite recently with the birth of your son. I guess he thought by giving it to you, it would make sure the property stays in the family.”
“How do you feel about moving here, darling?” (Y/N)’s partner Seokjin - Taehyung had also learned his name through eavesdropping - asked, cradling her hand within his own.
“I would love to. But what about the dust? Won’t that be bad for the baby?” On god, her voice was as sweet as a nightingale song. How Taehyung longed to hear it for hours on end.
“I’ll clean it for you, silly. But do you think we could live here for the rest of our lives?”
The nod of (Y/N)’s head sealed their fate.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
Initially the change in ownership had been a nightmare. Between the seemingly none-stop arrival of moving trucks, the buzz of people helping to put things away and the loud whining of the month-old baby, it was hard to relax. Taehyung felt almost as on edge as the new owners of the house, Yet after many arguments and sleepless nights the couple were settled in.
They seemed to have more appreciation for the house than it’s former occupant, with many of the dusty spaces becoming clean and decorated again. Even Taehyung’s writing room - he’d watched with apprehension at first when they entered the room, but a warm feeling bubbled in his non-existent stomach when he saw (Y/N) taking his paintings and hanging them on the wall. Did she appreciate art just as much as him?
Even if the couple had settled properly, the one person who was still restless was their infant. The baby boy would often wake up in the middle of the night and wail loudly, leading one of the parents to climb out of bed and hush him back to sleep. This routine nearly drove Taehyung up the wall, as his peaceful naps were often disturbed by the cry of a hungry infant. It had been a while since there had been an infant living at the manor and Taehyung still had yet to adjust to the noise level.
“There’s milk in the fridge if he wakes up, and nappies are in the second drawer down in the nursery. Feel free to help yourself to anything in there, except the Sauvignon of course. We’ll be back at about 11PM, thank you so much for helping us!”
Taehyung was too distracted by the sight of (Y/N) dressed up so elegantly in a sleek black dress to process what she was saying to the spotty-faced teenager standing before her as Seokjin slipped on his shoes.
“No worries Mrs Kim.” The teen responded. With one last fret about the child, the couple left to get in the taxi, and the house felt like it had lost all of its life.
Taehyung wished he could trail after (Y/N) as he usually did, but being confined to the manor meant he had to seek out the next best thing.
The nursery had been fully made over by (Y/N) and Seokjin within a week or so of moving in. Gone was the Georgian wallpaper, replaced by a coat of blue paint and decorated with twinkling moons and stars. Taehyung approached the coat, his fingers brushing the plush mobile over the cot and watching it spin.
He heard the gurgle of the baby below him, glancing down to see the blinking brown eyes gazing back up at him. Perhaps not directly at him, but it was enough to make Taehyung double back in shock. He reached down into the cot and placed one of his cold hands on the baby’s face. Its response was a delighted giggle, as if his touch was ticklish. Taehyung chuckled, poking at the child’s ribs to see him scrunch up his tiny legs. Suddenly, gazing into the little boy’s eyes Taehyung knew what he’d been missing in both his alive and undead life. A real family, someone he could speak to and someone he could love.
He wished he could pick up this child and coo over its chubby cheeks with his wife. He wanted to write poems about his love for life, he wanted to fall asleep holding someone at night.
But not just anyone would do. He knew, he just knew, it had to be (Y/N). She would be his, and he would be hers.
However, whilst Taehyung was pondering this, the child was growing uncomfortable and it startled the ghost back into reality with a loud cry for attention. He glanced down at the child, panicking at the sight of tears running down its cheeks. Luckily, it seemed that the young boy was only hungry, as the room still smelt like fresh linen.
‘It’s okay. The babysitter will sort him out.’ He told himself.
However, after several painful minutes of waiting there was no sight of the teenager leading Taehyung to search the house for him. He found the babysitter lying on the couch fast asleep, a movie playing on the TV and an abandoned bottle of beer on the coffee table.
‘Pathetic’. Taehyung scoffed to himself. ‘I’ll do it myself.’
He found the bottle filled with breast milk that (Y/N) had left in the fridge, the teat already attached. With one last glance at the passed out teenager, he picked up the bottle and made his way back to the nursery.
It must surely be a jarring sight to see a floating bottle of milk, and furthermore to be picked up and fed by an invisible person. However, the baby didn’t seem too disturbed, happily drinking the milk and burping without a care in the world.
After the infant was fed he started to nod off the sleep again, and Taehyung gently laid him down in the cot. He gently traced over the warm cheek of the child before leaving, the most happy he’d been in his life.
He spent the rest of the evening waiting on the sofa for (Y/N) to return. Whilst the TV was showing some action movie, Taehyung couldn’t find it in himself to become interested in it. Not when he had much more pressing issues on his mind. His mind was flurried with the realisation of how he felt. How could he love someone when he’s dead? How could he win the heart of (Y/N) when she couldn’t see him?
Luckily he wasn’t left to stew in his thoughts for too long - as the clock crept around to ten o’clock the front door opened and shut as (Y/N) and Seokjin returned home. Her face was creased with worry as she crept up to the nursery to check on her darling child, whilst Seokjin stayed to pay their now conscious babysitter who had hidden all traces of delinquency and was happily accepting his payment for doing nothing.
Taehyung, as always, chose to join (Y/N) in the nursery. He stood by the doorway, watching as (Y/N) bent down to press a kiss to her beautiful sleeping child. Then, unable to resist he approached her and rested his arms on her waist. He felt her shiver slightly at the cold touch of his hands and for a second the melancholy of his situation hit him like a truck. But Taehyung couldn’t let it haunt him, not when the warmth of her skin under his hands made him more at peace than he had been for years.
She stumbled slightly as she left the nursery, the evening’s drink hit her harder than it usually would, but Taehyung’s hands steadied her. Whilst he secretly savoured the feeling of her body in his hold, he was more concerned about how unstable she was - most likely due to having not drank alcohol in over a year.
Seokjin still hadn’t returned to his wife’s side, and for that Taehyung was both grateful and condemning of the man - he despised how the man could be married to such an ethereal woman and not spend every waking moment by her side, but he was grateful to be able to fill that role. He gently guided her towards her bed, scared that she could fall, and once she had flopped onto the bed lay down next to her, admiring every one of her features as she fell asleep still in her fancy clothes and makeup.
Taehyung had waited hundreds of years to find his purpose in life, and now that he’d found her he knew he would do anything to make her happy.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
(Y/N) had become increasingly stressed since she returned to doing work, Taehyung noticed. Sure, it was only part-time and luckily they were happy for her to work from home meaning she didn’t need to get a new job. However, the incessant demand for attention from the young infant meant she rarely had a moment to rest her feet.
Taehyung wasn’t going to stand for it. Occasionally on the nights that his loneliness got to him, he would press his hand to her forehead only to find it hot and drenched with sweat. She was working herself to death, no doubt about it. And whilst Taehyung secretly longed for her to join the land of the dead with him, it wasn’t her time.
Thus, to take some of the stress off her back, he started to help out around the house. At first, it was minor things that (Y/N) wouldn’t think twice about. Putting dirty laundry in the basket, washing the dirty breakfast bowls, retrieving the toys that precious little Si-woo had thrown across the room, turning off the stove when she accidentally left it on. Seeing the positive effect these had on (Y/N), he started to get bolder in his actions - making her lunches (and letting her assume that it was Seokjin making them in the morning), taking out the garbage, shushing Si-woo when he started crying. All things Seokjin couldn’t do, that Taehyung would do everyday for her if she could only love him.
Spending time with her son was a new favourite hobby of Taehyung. He could stare at those twinkling eyes that inherited from (Y/N)’s for hours. He found that as the son grew he became more playful, and Taehyung was more than happy to keep the little tyke entertained. It was a risky game - if (Y/N) walked in and saw her son’s toys moving by themselves she would no doubt call an exorcist but with the delighted giggles that Si-woo made it was more than worth it.
However, with the increasing time he spent with (Y/N) Taehyung had a first hand seat to watching her relationship with Seokjin deteriorate. At first, it was just the lack of intimacy - Seokjin would often get home late, and by that time both (Y/N) and the baby were asleep leaving him to heat up whatever (Y/N) had made for dinner. When Seokjin woke up in the morning, (Y/N) had already been awake for hours caring for Si-woo. Seokjin missed everything, from Si-woo’s first teetering steps to the adorable way that he had said his first word: ‘dada’.
Then there was the argument.
“Have you seen my copy of ‘Eileen’?” In fact, Taehyung had borrowed it. Not only did he find the modern fiction way more interesting than his old romantic novels, he found it comforting to thumb the pages where (Y/N), much like he did, would fold the corners to save her progress.
“No. Where was the last place you left it?” Seokjin replied, not seeming nearly as interested in the issue as (Y/N) wanted him to be.
“I swear I left it on the dresser. Can you help me look for it?” She sighed in reply. Seokjin didn’t move.
“Is it such a big deal?”
Taehyung decided to leave his cozy chair in the corner to join (Y/N)’s side. He wasn’t sure, but he hoped she could feel his presence, to know that he was there for her even when her husband wasn’t.
“I just wanted to read it today. I was at a really good point.” His lover’s voice had a defeated tone to it, as if the book was her last hope in life.
“I’ll get you another copy. Come back to bed, (Y/N).” Seokjin purred, but (Y/N) shook her head.
“Why are you so selfish?” She suddenly snapped. “I feel like I do everything around here. I do all of the housework, I look after Si-woo all day long and I still find time to do my job! When was the last time you let your precious hands touch something domestic?”
“You think that I want to be away from home so much? I wish I could spend more time with my family but in case you forgot being in charge of a firm is actually quite demanding!” Seokjin stood up, his tone matching her aggression in a second.
(Y/N) paused, her eyes scrunching up as if she was going to cry.
“What happened? What happened to us that has made us this way? Why… why don’t I feel like you love me anymore?”
The sadistic side of Taehyung wished he could frame the scene and hang it up on the wall forever. The look of horror on Seokjin's face was simply priceless.
“You don’t mean that.” He said, trying to be firm only to have his voice shake with every word. “(Y/N), you can’t doubt my love for one second. Please.”
His wife just breathed out, rubbing at her eyes.
“I need a break.” She finally said. “I need to leave for a few days. Please.”
Seokjin looked hurt, but he nodded nonetheless.
“Take as much time as you need. I’ll look after Si-woo. You just need to look after yourself.”
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
Taehyung was fuming. Half an hour after the Kims had argued (Y/N) had packed a small bag and left to stay with “some family”, allowing her husband to give her a small peck on the cheek before she left.
It was torturous for Taehyung, thinking of how much time he would have to spend away from his (Y/N). Although he was glad that she was going to have a break, the entire situation could have been entirely avoided if she had never married Kim Seokjin. If only she could have married Taehyung instead, he would’ve made sure she would never had to lift a finger and her every wish would be his command. Instead he could only have an invisible presence in her life, whilst she was stuck with a deadbeat husband who seemingly left all of the parenting to her.
Taehyung felt sick to his stomach seeing as he watched Seokjin act on his words, taking the next few days off work to look after his son. It just wasn’t fair, how he could talk to the toddler and get a babbled response or how he could hold out his arms and Si-woo would stumble towards him. Seokjin didn’t deserve fatherhood, Taehyung concluded. (Y/N) deserved a loving husband and father to her child and no matter how many hours Taehyung spent over the three days watching the broken family whilst (Y/N) was gone, nothing could convince him that Seokjin was the right match.
Seokjin had had a call from (Y/N), telling him that she was going to return home in a few hours. The giddy smile on Seokjin’s face as he told Si-woo that Mommy would be home today and they were going to help make her a special meal was just disgusting to Taehyung. No way did this pathetic excuse for a husband deserve to have (Y/N) back.
Taehyung sat at the table plotting what he should do as he watched Seokjin cook a meal to welcome (Y/N) back, as his adorable son sat on the counter and watched. He didn’t want to do anything in front of Si-woo, that would be too cruel. But he had to stop Seokjin in some way, and all his plans ended in the same result - killing him.
He could pour bleach down his throat. Or he could spill some oil onto him and set him alight. Or he could strange him with one of the curtain cords. All valid solutions to the problem.
“Daddy just has to go pee. Are you happy sitting in your playpen for a few minutes, hmm?” Taehyung’s murderous lines of thought were broken by the sound of Seokjin’s cheerful voice cooing to his son.
Finally, an opportunity. He could end Seokjin’s life in the bathroom, and Si-woo would be none the wiser as to where ‘Daddy’ was.
He waited until the scoundrel had placed his son in the playpen and left the kitchen before approaching the magnetic knife rail and plucking a decently sized blade from it. Taehyung then trailed a few metres behind Seokjin as he made a beeline for the bathroom - he couldn’t get too close, no doubt Seokjin would be immediately alarmed and his plan for subtly would be ruined.
When he finally reached the bathroom he cursed when it was closed (although luckily enough not locked) - whilst he could easily float through the door, his knife would not be able to and thus to enact the plan he swung open the door.
Seokjin turned around, slightly concerned at how the door was open when he was so sure that he’d closed it. Disregarding it as a draft he zipped up his trousers and was just checking his hair in the mirror when suddenly there was a force gripping his throat. His eyes darted side to side trying to find some answer but all he found was air. He wasn’t left in the dark for long, however - Taehyung would love to make the scumbag suffer but he didn’t want to risk (Y/N) walking in on the unfinished scene.
Thus, in one swift move he slit Seokjin’s throat and pushed him towards the bathtub, his victim’s body hitting the rim of the tub with a satisfying ‘thunk’. (Y/N)’s pathetic excuse for a husband’s last moments were agonising, his eyes wide with shock and confusion as he choked on his own blood. But before Taehyung had fully gotten to enjoy the pain of his rival’s death, life had drained from Seokjin’s eyes and his body slumped over. Taehyung drifted over to place the bloody blade in the corpse’s right hand, and as a final touch he wiped up the drops of blood that had fallen onto the ground just a little too far away to be believable.
Content with what he’d done, Taehyung left to visit Si-woo. The toddler seemed happy enough playing with his toy alpaca to even notice his biological father’s disappearance. Rather, he was delighted when he felt an invisible presence pinching at his cheek, letting out a hearty giggle. Taehyung managed to keep him occupied for the next hour, until (Y/N) returned.
Taehyung's non-existent heart thumped at a thousand beats a second when he heard a car drawing up on the gravel drive, and the car door slamming home announced that she was finally back.
“I’m home!” She called out, the only response she got being some babbled nonsense from Si-woo. She walked into the living room to see her son, smiling at first but the smile dropping off her face when she couldn’t see anyone else.
“Hey precious!” She cooed, scooping the toddler into her arms. “Where’s daddy?”
She didn’t hear the normal witty response from Seokjin nearby, leading her to click her tongue in annoyance.
“Did daddy really leave you all alone? That’s a bit strange, isn’t it?”
“Not at all.” Taehyung quirked back, scowling at how she seemed to have completely forgotten how neglectful of a father Seokjin really was compared to himself.
Evidently having not heard Taehyung’s comment, (Y/N) started to search for Seokjin, finding his abandoned cooking (although thankfully the bastard had turned off the stove). Taehyung just trailed behind her as usual, holding his breath as if she would be able to hear him.
After calling out for her ‘husband’ a few more times, (Y/N) gave up.
“I guess he got called into work. So much for spending time with his family.”
She made her way up to the nursery, placing Si-woo back down on the floor.
“Mommy just had a long journey, so she’s going to go to the toilet and then she’ll get you some dinner, okay?” (Y/N) said softly to the child, as if she expected a response. Si-woo just looked up at her innocently, completely oblivious to all that was going on except his own hunger.
Taehyung realised, as (Y/N) was walking away, that she was headed in the direction of the bathroom Seokjin had used and she was about to find his body. Upon that thought he followed her, hoping to support her when she found the grisly scene.
However, the shrill scream he heard when he was mere metres away from the room told him he was too late.
(Y/N) fell to her knees, tears rolling down her cheeks as she surveyed the situation. She was frozen still, unable to stop screaming until her voice was hoarse. Taehyung took the initiative to kneel beside her and rub his hand on her back. (Y/N) didn’t even seem to notice, not flinching from the cold as she usually did. All she could do was bury her face in her hands and weep at the sight before her eyes. And as much as it hurt Taehyung to see his (Y/N) in pain, his heart was telling him he’d done the right thing.
Now, (Y/N) needed him. She couldn’t survive as a single mother, not when she was struggling already when Seokjin was alive. But Taehyung believed with all his heart that he was more than fit to take on Seokjin’s role, as a father, as a husband, as the only one in the world who could truly love her.
