After scrolling the tag I think people definately need to chill when it comes to Forever’s current arc. Like it says a lot that BBH had to step away from the lore convo with Forever and Max to look his chat in the eye and tell them to CHILL.

From Forever’s pov it makes complete sense but neither side, Forever or BBH or Bagerah, are really able to communicate their povs when it comes to Jaiden’s situation in a way the others understand - which is fine! They will work it out. This will not become a massive schism within Team Friendship.

This server is all about communication and I have complete faith everyone will find a way to communicate with each other and work it out. Just give them time :)

i think part of the reason i love this show so much is bc analysis and engagement is rewarded by the narrative. i'm from the mcyt fandom, and over there it's all improv. i know that most of the time if i'm digging and theorizing and such, i'm the one doing most of the work there- it isn't actually that deep, i'm just having fun in my shallow sandbox because it's fun to dig!

but then lmk really Is that deep. it's deep and the soil is good and i know that if i take my shovel out and dig, i'm going to find something good, and that reward feels really good

So like, a while ago I did a little update on the Brink fics, and I figured it was worth giving a kinda sad update on my other Fable fics as well.

At this stage, there are no plans to continue or finish Your Skin Beneath My Teeth (the second book in the Blood series).

I know this is probably disappointing, because I know a lot of people really loved the Vampire AU. But from a personal writing level, I’m just sort of unhappy with the direction of the books, and I don’t have the time to commit to rewriting them. I’m not invested enough in my own story, and while that’s a shame, I don’t know if there’s much I can do without just giving myself time to stew on it.

There’s also a logistical side to things as well. Fable is coming to an end in less than a month. I feel like it’ll probably take me months to finish the Brink series still first, which are the fics I’m personally more passionate about. And at a certain point, I don’t want Fable to be the only thing that consumes my writing for the next year+. Not to mention the time I want to dedicate to other SMPs and creative projects I’m involved in, like Cantripped, Bound SMP, and Terramortis, with even more stuff in the works.

On top of all that like… I’m just a guy, ya know. I’m a full time student, work part-time most days of the week, commute between 2 major cities regularly, and I have other things that just deserve my time more.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been in fandoms for years, I know it’s shitty when fics you enjoy never get an ending. But I hope that like, people get where I’m coming from with discontinuing it, I guess.

Besides, there is, technically, an ending for Blood. I’ve had the ending written since the end of the first book (it’s just getting there that’s the problem) and so if people would like, as some sort of closure for the story, I would be happy to release that here on Tumblr or on my Kofi or something. Maybe I’ll make a follow up post with a poll.

I might as well mention that there is likewise no plan to “finish” the Band AU, but since that was always a collection of one-shots, there was never really a plan or end for any of it. It was always kinda disjointed without an end in sight lol.

I’m not saying that I’m NEVER going to go back to these fics. Just that it’s unlikely. But who knows, maybe someday I’ll crawl out of the dirt to finish them-

If you did only follow my Fable fics for the Blood books though, I’m sure some elements of my other fan works might appeal to you, if you want to give them a go! The horror/contemplations of humanity are the key theme of Brink, and the mystery/thriller, high stakes political conflict mixed with interpersonal melodrama is the focus of Cascading Skies, my new Bound fic. And of course those and so many more things are just key elements to like all of my storytelling my canon characters lol. But if none of that ticks your boxes, it was great to have y’all along for the bloody vampire ride :D

Anyway this was me getting sappy about setting aside a project I worked really hard on lol. Sometimes you gotta do that and sometimes that’s okay, and that’s an attitude I struggle with but am getting better at. I know don’t owe y’all any kind of explanation for this, I could have just stopped and let it die, but I wanted to give one. More for me personally really; I needed to say something about it publicly to like… fully cement in my mind what I decided on a long time ago. Anyway, catch y’all later when I’m not incredibly tired, and hopefully with a more silly goofy post ✌️

I've had a little more time to gather my thoughts after today's events, and while I do still feel sad and upset that this particular chapter has come to an end, I'm still very grateful that it happened.

I'm so grateful to all the good it has brought so many people. Helping many communities around the world unite and be able to talk to each other, breaking down language and cultural barriers just to freak out about their favorite cubitos.

I'm grateful for all the memories we made. The good and the bad. The sad and the happy. The ones where we all laughed at the silly moments and cried in the tragic ones. I'll look back on them very fondly, and I'm so glad to have been a part of the journey for most of the way.

I never thought I'd get back to watching another SMP after the dsmp ended to be honest. I was just kind of there for that server because I joined at the very end and only watched clip compilations and stuff. So when I heard Quackity was launching a server with Spanish and English speakers with some CC's who I already knew previously, I thought, huh. That's a neat concept I guess. I might not stick around for very long, but I'll check it out I think.

So I began to watch Phil's pov and vods, and I'll never forget the first time I saw an egg live- and just how their characters and stories completely captured my heart in a way that I can't even begin to explain. After that, I decided you know, I might have to stick around for a little while longer. And lo and behold, a year later, here we are.

I also admittedly didn't watch every streamer's pov so I'm not knowledgeable in every character's story, but because of you guys here on qsmpblr, I really felt like I was a part of every community when I read everyone's posts, theories, admire art, or fics people would write too.

I've switched povs a lot throughout the year and I just wanna say thank you to the Crows, Doozers, Jaiden fans (I forgot what you guys are called I'm sorry D':) and especially the Ghosties <3 for keeping me company. I genuinely feel so blessed to have interacted with all of you. Thank you for having me.

And yeah Ghosties, because of your streamer, I'm permanently stuck in that bell now so thanks a lot /j XD

To every fan, on tumblr and elsewhere, thanks for keeping this project- the characters and all the memories we made of it- alive in the fanart and fanfiction. You guys all work so hard and are so very talented too!

hm... taizi, i think! i started reading their writing right around the same time i started high school and i went, "wait. you can just do this?" i'd read fanfic before this but taizi's work was what made it click for me that fanfic is, like, A Type Of Writing, and you can do it really well, and put it in places where people will see it and enjoy it. so i did the thing. wrote lego ninjago fanfic in microsoft word on the days school started late and i had nothing to do in the hour before the bus arrived.

oh gosh, that's difficult. i think, and maybe this is too vague, maybe the ones that get into the crunch of the thing. i am always on my all fic is meta train, so i think comments that seem to Get That, and expand on or pull into the open my thinking are my favourites? also a big fan of when someone says something i didn't think about while writing, but is nevertheless There In The Fic! new insights! that's very cool to me.

oh god oh fuck. i'm gonna take 'dream' here as meaning i cannot personally Make It Happen because a lot of the things i could say i dream about seeing in a fic are also things i could just put in a fic and tada, there, not a dream anymore. so it's gotta be some kind of stupid plot-heavy ensemble cast AU because that's just not the kind of thing i know how to write well enough to be satisfied with if i did it. i know if you asked me this again, like, tomorrow i would probably have a different answer, but right now i am sighing longingly about some kind of empires smp modern au. catrina belovedgamers and i were talking in dms the other day about a circus au in which some of the strays, stowaways, and outcasts of the world discover, with great joy, that they never have to go home again if they don't want to, and the idea of scott and shrub and joey (these three specifically, yes) getting happy endings amid the shenanigans of Circus makes me really tender. but it also has to be sad and difficult. it has to Deal with the corruption and xornoth and the fact that none of this is easy, and scott still has to try to kill himself and joey still has to get tangled up in xornoth and be just as prickly as he always is and shrub still has to lose everyone. and that's Just the three newest runaways this circus has picked up, all of wra is still here too, and so are pix and lizzie and joel and jimmy, so. do you see why this would be really fucking hard to write,

who would write it best? for it to be warming and gentle all the way through like a cup of tea at just the right temperature, probably taizi. but for it to pluck out the sad and difficult bits exactly right, probably alouette_des_champs, who consistently does The Best modern aus for pretty much every fandom they've written for. they are not in mcyt fandom at all, but they did this with drawga (comedy art actual-play web series), and atla, and naddpod (actual-play d&d podcast, also mostly comedy), and if there's anyone who could do this right i bet it's them.

I JUST POSTED A FIC

weird way to start but I did start writing a fic called

All Warfare Is Based On Deception 

it's a BSD x DSMP fic based on ideas, characters and abilities I have been working on for honestly several months.

a lot of CC's from DSMP will make an appearance and hopefully, if I don't loose motivation half way through, some hermits and life members will appear as well!

in my opinion it's going to be a pretty good story, idk how many chapters it will have but aside from the first chapter I'll try to keep each chapter a minimum of 3k words.

here's the summery:

When violent attacks of seemingly unknown origins started happening more and more frequently in Yokohama, Kunikida makes a point of finding the culprit and putting an end to these severe acts of violence. The shock, anger and disbelief when the attackers are revealed to be close friends and associates of the detective puts the whole agency in a vulnerable state.

Kunikida, although still a bit shocked from the sudden flood of information from these unknown informants, signaled Tanizaki to go get his laptop from his table, as Tanizaki left Kunikida asked.

“And with whom am I speaking with?”

The other line was quiet yet again as more whispers could be heard, luckily these ones didn’t last as long.

“Call me Skeppy, that’s my code name”

Then the call disconnected.

if you don't know what the I-dots are it's basically a pretty old smp that had skeppy, bbh, megapvp and some other close friends of them on there. as far as I'm aware most members went their separate ways but I will be reuniting them in this fic.

the fic contains zero ships (aside from some skephalo) but feel free to see the way characters act as whatever you like, personally I want to keep this fic mostly ship free unless deemed absolutely necessary by the plot.

Basically, the penis smp was a fake parody minecraft server based on the dream smp after a dsmp anti made a post mocking dsmp fans, stating that dsmp fans were always like "oh my god this is just like the penisunavailable and shittyfartbaby69 electric chair scene." A bunch of dsmp fans saw that, went "oh, thats hilarious," and rolled with it, (roughly around may 19-21, 2021), creating fanart (a LOT), fanfics, cosplay, discourse over character apologists, and stream analyses. People began to make up the lore similarly to goncharov, as well as their own characters, including notable ones such as milfboss, turbothruster, admiral anus, fuckass (hes a flaming sheep i love him), and many, many others. It was such a sudden thing that it eventually ended up #2(?) trending, with fanart of milfboss ending up as one of the login screen images. There was even a polygon article written about it. The main ship among fans was shittypenis, but milf had multiple popular ships of her own, especially with admiral anus. Some people started a discord server which decended into chaos, while another server attempted to make the penismp a reality, which ultimately didnt really work out (as far as i know). However, a lot of the lore of the penismp was generally agreed upon, with events such as the rabbit hide wars and other fun moments (cant remember any rn) but also the major moment where penis electricuted shitty. It was also generally agreed that after that "stream," milf had a secret livestream of her own, in which her and shitty teamed up immediately after in order to get revenge and electricuted penis using the very same chair. Other than that, people were usually able to make up their own story ideas that were fine since there was no "main" story other than that. Yk it's a little funny that I actually did find him annoying at first, he was like this little chaos gremlin that was always fucking up my dteam chill streams on the dsmp, but it only took a few weeks for me to really appreciate him as a creator.
