weirdly, he prefers calls and texts over facetime now. and yes, it is kinda odd that he never talks about his job at alchemax anymore. nor does he reply as quickly to your calls or texts,,, but you don't mind! of course, he hasn't been exactly told you what happened but he swears he will. eventually. at some point.

how would they all react to mc giving them puzzles as a gift? not for any occasion just because she likes them. if im not mistaken monsters enjoy puzzles right? or was it just a papyrus thing and my memory is wonky? lol

I was so worried my memory was wonky too but nope - puzzles are definitely, canonically in the game a monster thing (although I think papyrus is the most into them).

The Ruins have puzzles, Monster Kid has a little word search, and Hotland is also full of them. Also apparently if you backtrack in waterfall after meeting Undyne (who hates puzzles???) you can find an old monster called the “Elder Puzzler” who rants about young monsters not appreciating puzzles 😂.

As for each of their reactions if you gifted them puzzles….

Cross is based on a Swap Sans. He loves loves loves puzzles, though he only shows that side of himself to Nightmare’s group (his family). If you gifted him a puzzle, he’d love you forever, especially if it’s one you can do together.

Dust only does puzzles occasionally with Horror. They remind him too much of his old life and of his brother. But if you gave him one once your relationship was well established—something simple, like a jigsaw puzzle—he’d like it, so long as you do it together. He just doesn’t like being alone with them.

Horror enjoys puzzles a lot. The puzzles in his underground became a bit… morbid… during the famine, so he likes doing ‘normal’ puzzles now that he’s free from there. It’s healing, in a way. He’d be very happy to do one with you, especially if they’re something you enjoy.

(Occasionally, you may spot defensive puzzles deep in the woods surrounding Nightmare’s castle… puzzles full of bear traps and other sharp objects. Some habits die harder than others.)

Killer likes puzzles well enough, but he’d really like a puzzle you can use to prank the others together. Or one that incorporates knives.

Nightmare isn’t really a monster, so he doesn’t have the same cultural attachment to puzzles. But he adores them, particularly if they’re complex. Give him a nearly impossible mechanical puzzle or a logic puzzle that he’ll be thinking about all month and he’ll be so pleased. But more than that, he likes a complex puzzle he can do with you. Watching your mind work, watching you outsmart even him… he adores it.

Error likes crafting more than puzzles. But he’d enjoy those 3D wooden puzzles where you build something. But really, if you want to give him something, why don’t you come spend time in his workshop while he knits, away from all those noisy anomalies in the castle?

I always wondered why Durin died in such a relatively good mood but Elynas' words make it make more sense. It's not that Venti's music kinda hypnotised him to make him stop attacking Mondstat; it's that he was just playing the whole time. Unfortunately, his idea of playing terrified and hurt the populace.

It's also interesting that Elynas has the potential to be brought back to life despite being an entire literal pile of bones. But it begs the question of what death is, if it is not a true death. What is it that makes his bones and his being remain, when all the small things we kill turn to dust? Why does Durin's heart still beat? Is Durin the mountain, now? Is the reason Dragonspine is so dangerous that, even now, he does not understand his own strength?

want a Hermitcraft hero vs villains au but everyone’s just. horrible at their jobs. classic cartoon villain doc. People either never fall for his traps or they fail spectacularly. Xisuma has this reputation for being like a number one villain. He’s not. Don’t let his scary armor fool you. Scar as a “hero” but he can be pretty easily swayed wherever his best interest lies. Grian as a vigilante, doesn’t really care about hero vs villain but truly loves messing w both. Chaotic balance. Mumbo being a civilian. Like /the/ cartoon civilian who gets captured everytime. Imagine the villains like kidnapping him and mumbo’s just. A little oblivious. He’s like working on a lab project or reading a book. Heroes come to save him. He’s horribly confused.
