We thought we could rely on the captain, but what about four more of them?

........Okay a whole bunch of context below if you're interested-

OKAY- SO- CONTEXT- A little less than a month after ISWM Part 2 came out, me and my friends started a BIG OL' RP surrounding it where our personas/captainsonas met up and just kinda...went through the broken universe to try and fix it again, but this time we started involving meeting up with our own OC's in their universes, dragging along some of the Markiplier egos (Hee Hoo, Stan the Water Man, Yancy, and Old Man Mark, if you're curious), getting chased down by Actor as the main baddie so that's fun, expanding more of our own backstories and l o r e, and just sO MUCH DAMN ANGST HOLY FUCK THESE GUYS NEED T H E R A P Y -

And if you're wondering why two of the captains are demons and ones has a full on eyeball for a head (me) and how that still makes sense for the lore of the universe......um-

Also also, if you're wondering why it's called "Traptains", it's cause we all work on the Markiplier Webcomic "Trapped" (go read it now it's great) and we RP it o n the actual server, so when we were tryna to think of a name for it, my big brain saw Trapped, saw that ee were captains, and just kinda....smashed them together....perfect-

But yeah, this RP has s t i l l been going and it's gonna be almost a year old which is interesting, so, wanting to do something for it (and running on good ol' a r t b l o c k -) I decided to do this, and this is actually a redraw from when we first ever started! As for the other question, it depends on how different the avatar or persona is. If it's a fictionalized version of themself who lives a life the creator obviously doesn't or has their own story (e.g ISWM, Eddsworld, Minecraft RP), that's good. If it's just how the creator presents, I'd say that's not really fiction (e.g Kwite's "floating hoodie" persona is just how he presents, and not his own character) so that would be a no. However, as that attempt at clarifying made clear, these are pretty blurry lines, so if you want, you can just send in those requests and we'll play it by ear from there.

Funny! I am rereading once again for the bajillion-th and one time. I love P & P and I have enjoyed every adaption of it too. Sense and Sensibility has always been my number one favorite because I always related more to Elinor Dashwood and Marian Dashwood, meeting them in the middle. But anyway, before I ramble off let me think…

Fitzwilliam Darcy is a bit of an aloof, prejudice moments, jerk when we meet him (personal opinion anyway lol). But we have remember we are seeing Darcy through Elizabeth’s view. Her pride as a whole and against Mr. Darcy taints him in a way.

Kind of like how, we as the viewers of Marks channel, only have a view of him at his worst. Even after WKM, we only get views of a desperate and broken and angry man. With Elizabeth, Darcy doesn’t fall far from this painted view either. Darcy comes off very entitled and this is because of Elizabeth. She can’t see him past her own pride. Kinda like Actor Mark to Dark/Damien.

Now if we look at Dark, he’s not exactly the best character at times. He can be cruel, judgemental, angry, and mean. But we saw what drove him to that. Note that ISWM and AHWM and even ADWM, we the viewer and Y/N are being told a story run by Mark while Dark tries to come in and “help”. But his inflections are only coming off as him degrading us at times. His monologue in Heist is an example:

Same snake, different skin. Always spinning his yarns, his webs, his lies. I always thought you were trapped in his games, perpetually plunging down the rabbit hole of his stories. Helpless. Lost. I know the feeling. Perhaps I'm the crazy one. Perhaps we've met a hundred times already and you simply don't remember it. Perhaps you're tired of me repeating myself over, and over, and over, and over, and over, AND OVER AGAIN! Maybe you just miss my pretty face. It doesn't matter. People like you only want one thing... and it's disgusting. You want answers. Well... games were always his forte. But allow me this one moment of self-indulgence…. So much trouble... all for something so small. Do you really want to know what's inside this Box? The truth? Not the lies he's told you, but the truth? Well... I know how much you love a good game, so throughout this heist, I've hidden codes, several codes. Find them all and you'll get your truth. But that's all I'm gonna give you.

Some of it is a little degrading. It’s like he’s calling us stupid or ignorant/blind. Which Elizabeth’s pride was making her towards Darcy as well. Though not without Darcy causing trouble for Elizabeth’s view as well:

“I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine."

This is the quote Elizabeth makes that has always stood out to me about her character. She’s quick and sassy here, giving Darcy his own taste of his prideful dishing from earlier.

Dark could probably have a change of heart like Darcy did. Darcy and Elizabeth are both lost in their opinions and pride that it takes outside influences and hints from around them that what they initially believed was wrong and they’ve been a fool. Dark and Damien and Celine have the common ground that they are right and their opinion’s and their goals are the only thing that matters.

Celine comes barging in during WKM and accusing and a bit pompous. Like she knows everything and is right. Damien doesn’t disagree completely with her but he comes off a bit naïve to everything and that’s kind of like Darcy and Elizabeth. Naive to Mark and Celine and William and even us the viewer because he can’t see past the view that his friends could never be anything but good. Darks fall is that he’s naive to what we do and do not know as the viewer, thinking we don’t see the cracks in Actor Marks persona or that we’re always willing participants and that he knows everything because he’s always right. Once again a similarity to Elizabeth and Darcy.

I’m sure there’s a better way to put it into words but that’s my look at these characters lol.
