(got thrown into a swirling rift in what I can only guess is the fabric of reality and told I needed to find an ax to help someone talking in blue lettered text)

You rang? (Side note, YouTube lost its notifications privileges with me, so I saw this message before I saw Mark's new video. It's probably the only reason I had enough time to type this post up before I head off to the airport, so thank you!)

Okay, to recap: We have a really weird drive by bee attack. No relation to the lore or anything, just bizarre. RIP, bee, you went out stinging. Then we have Mark talking about his love of being dropped into horrors beyond his imagining (not a masochist) and deep lore, before asking Lixian to show us something very deep--"throw them in the hole!"

Lixian says to the viewer, "I guess it's your turn to go into the hole" (my emphasis, we'll get back to that), before we go into a pink, flaming hole. It's tempting to draw the comparison to the wormhole from ISWM, but what's interesting is the color--the only time we see a pink wormhole in Space is when Wilford calls us a ride after ours, uh, was "mysteriously" stabbed.

Inside the hole, there are swirling clouds and flashes of blue lightning. Near the end, there's a break in the clouds that actually kind of looks like a side path to the left, but unlike In Space, we don't have an option of left or right here, we just plummet through the main hole to be met with darkness, and blue text.

"Help me", "Please, help me", and "Only you can find the axe."

Someone is asking for help, someone who claims that only the viewer can find the axe. So, let's talk about the axe, shall we?

First, we start with my boy, Damien:

In DAMIEN, the very first thing we see is Damien himself, chopping down a tree with an axe. This is apparently a daily thing for him, and he chops down a LOT of trees, but in the climax of the video when finally confronting Actor Mark, Damien doesn't have his axe. Instead, Celine arrives, using the axe to break through to Damien and, uh, giving it to Actor Mark to hold for a second.

Chronologically, the next time the axe is picked up is at the end of the fan game for Damien made by Lixian, just for Mark. At about the 48 minute mark, Damien/Dark sets his axe down as he's greeted by Wilford, which is then picked up by Lixian himself.

Lixian is scratched up, presumably from his fight with Lunky in 3 Scary Games #61 which has Lixian attempt to cage Lunky only for Lunky to break out.

It's in the following, unnumbered 3 Scary Games that we first see Lixian wield the axe, to split Lunky in half. (Brutal!)

He would then go on to use the axe in 3 Scary Games #64 and 65 to kill the horror abominations of Mark featured in those videos, and attempts to use it again in #66 only for it to bounce off.

Lixian tries to attack, and gets captured for his efforts, and we next see him in #75, waking up outside of the mysterious Plier Corporation and realizing he doesn't have his axe.

Since then, as far as I can tell in what time I have left to type this, the axe hasn't shown up again. It's missing, and someone needs our help finding it, but who and why?

Part of the explanation may lie with what the monster in #66 says at the beginning of the video: "The end is nigh. He has opened the door. The great Eldritch Plier is coming. Your end is here."

We get a hint at who this "Eldritch Plier" might be in 3 Scary Games #69, which begins with a man standing outside of a pink (!) portal, through which pops out Spider!Mark (one of the same creatures Lixian killed when he had the axe).

This man resurrects Lunky, its two halves barely clinging together, and the next time we see it is with Mark, who admits he doesn't actually remember making Lunky.

Lunky's most recent reappearance is in 3 Scary Games #103, where now whole again he uses the viewer as a sacrifice in his ritual to go back and seek vengeance, presumably against Lixian.

So the safe bet is that it's Lixian asking us to help find the axe so he can take on Lunky, right?

Except...why would he send us through a portal to tell us that? And why would he think we would be the only ones who could find it?

It would make more sense if someone else, someone who is well aware of the workings of the channel and the viewers' place in it, someone who may know of this Eldritch Plier and the danger he poses and shares his ability to summon portals, to do so.

Someone like one Wilford Motherloving Warfstache.

Or, y'know, Dark. He might also be involved.

This is my Darkiplier! Oh I love him so much his design is literally so yummy.

Now let me explain why he looks the way he does!!!

So first of all, I want to establish that this is Damien. Celine was pushed from the consciousness and into presumably an infinite void. But I'll leave that story for another time 😋‼️

This universe takes place after ISWM, and Darkiplier had hopped universes. He has the warp core crystal:

This Warp Crystal allows him to hop/jump universes. Dark needed this crystal as unlike his husband Wilford, he *was* fully human [obviously that has changed.].

Sadly for Dark, The SCP Foundation exists in this universe of mine....and he was swiftly apprehended. Of course, he was taken in for observation/containment. This is where he met Alto Clef-Gatsby-Carraway [Known at the time as Alto Clef or O5-12 (just wait until I can explain Clef.)], who arranged for his freedom with the idea of initiating Dark into his mafia in NYC.

Dark found Wilford Warfstache again through said Mafia, moving to NYC to live with him as "friends' [look at their interactions in WKM and tell me they aren't atleast a bit gay 😒].

Flash forward about 2 years, he's solidified himself as a higher up in the Mafia. He aims to be a platoon leader, which means another initiation...an illusive one to make sure he's definitely loyal to the mafia.

But before this let me mention something:

Dark [Damien] connected his soul to Jay Gatsby to get Celine out of the shared body. Therefore, he is *technically* immortal 😋

Anywayz. Dark, Wilford, The Host and Yancy are all initiated this way. They are given specific abilities to aid their platoons. Dark, being assigned to a flight platoon made up of the winged members of the mafia, was given wings!

He has raven wings now. The markings on his face are simply a product of his human body being changed to an otherworldly one. Some parts of the body adapt faster, such as the face and limbs. On that! He's got claws!!! They're very sharp, and they're assumed to be made of titanium.

His claws also have the little black veins. You can't see it but his feet to it as well, and the area around his gunshot wound is also like that. I molded his eyes off the following references: [CW FOR CREEPY EYES/EYE IMAGERY]

some of my own headcanons about @/qjel-01's ISWM monster!Captain AU:

monster captain can change their size slightly (based on the drawings of them with Mark but also outside of the Invincible 2 and how small the ship is compared to them)

the dark appearance and speckled pattern allows them to blend into the darkness of space and distant stars, when eyes are closed they can sometimes seem almost completely invisible

Captain has some degree of control over their gloopiness/solidness

they have a uniquely keen sense of direction, and very good vision

they are very old, and have travelled through many different galaxies

they are able to survive not just in the vacuum of space but in most planetary atmospheres and environments

they are accustomed to just flying through space for a long time without settling anywhere but they like to investigate planets from time to time

on some distant planets, there are civilizations who started to worship them, although they never really understood why

they get very curious when they come across a new species they haven't seen before

when they first met Mark, he was on a mission on a smaller ship with a small crew; something had failed and they were left drifting until someone could come get them. the enormous creature carefully dragged their ship to the nearest human space station

they kept hanging around space stations and flying alongside ships that Mark was on and the two somehow became friends❤️ they love and trust each other very much

human captains and crew members started accepting the alien creature's guidance and help

whilst Mark was busy building the Invincible II, the government and space agencies on Earth were having trouble selecting a captain to lead the mission of starting a colony on a new planet

eventually, Mark managed to convince them that his giant alien friend would be great at leading the crew

The Captain can be quite playful, but is aware that they need to be careful not to hurt the tiny humans :)

He looks at you with innocent confusion.

Dark is watching Wilford warily, sensing something magic from the crystal and keeping some distance from it. "Mark hasn't visited recently. Wilford said the other day he met up with a Captain for an interview, but then also claimed it was him but the other him, so... I'm afraid we don't have an answer for you."

My roommate @tryhardsars was also obsessed w Markiplier when we first lived together and forced me (<- was literally completely willing) to watch all Markiplier series/lore. I loved it. I enjoyed it as a casual viewer and as a film major. ISWM is absolutely incredible, genius even. I never got into it as much as she did unfortunately but I definitely liked it. But yeah I know all the lore now.

I think I might have figured out a timeline for the Markiplier Cinematic Universe.

ISWM comes first since that’s what kicks off the multiversal paradox, then WKM, WMLW, and DAMIEN happen mostly simultaneously, and the end of DAMIEN coincides with the District Attorney being overtaken by Darkiplier and trapped in the mirror.

ADWM and AHWM are funny because according to AHWM’s 6th and true ending, that comes first, but according to Ending 31 (Ignorance is Bliss) the reverse seems to be true. Darkiplier mentions we’ve probably met over and over but forgot, maybe referencing all the different choice paths of ADWM. Taking ISWM into account, it might mean all the time loops too.

Thanks to the crystal making space-time go funny, it probably doesn’t matter what order they happen.

ISWM happens throughout the entire timeline, thanks to the warp crystal sending the Captain through so many wormholes. They’re going through time, not just different universes.

Timeline-wise, Pre-paradox ISWM happens before but chronologically later, since they’re actually capable of space travel and WKM looks like it’s supposed to be in the 1920s-ish.

Post-paradox ISWM happens in so many times and places it’s hard to pin down.

WAIA is the waia-ld card in that it directly references WKM but takes place completely in a vaccuum.

........Okay a whole bunch of context below if you're interested-

OKAY- SO- CONTEXT- A little less than a month after ISWM Part 2 came out, me and my friends started a BIG OL' RP surrounding it where our personas/captainsonas met up and just kinda...went through the broken universe to try and fix it again, but this time we started involving meeting up with our own OC's in their universes, dragging along some of the Markiplier egos (Hee Hoo, Stan the Water Man, Yancy, and Old Man Mark, if you're curious), getting chased down by Actor as the main baddie so that's fun, expanding more of our own backstories and l o r e, and just sO MUCH DAMN ANGST HOLY FUCK THESE GUYS NEED T H E R A P Y -

And if you're wondering why two of the captains are demons and ones has a full on eyeball for a head (me) and how that still makes sense for the lore of the universe......um-

Also also, if you're wondering why it's called "Traptains", it's cause we all work on the Markiplier Webcomic "Trapped" (go read it now it's great) and we RP it o n the actual server, so when we were tryna to think of a name for it, my big brain saw Trapped, saw that ee were captains, and just kinda....smashed them together....perfect-

But yeah, this RP has s t i l l been going and it's gonna be almost a year old which is interesting, so, wanting to do something for it (and running on good ol' a r t b l o c k -) I decided to do this, and this is actually a redraw from when we first ever started! 🍓- How did you get into writing fanfiction? --- I kind of just... have always been doing so. From the moment I first started adoring certain shows or movies or books as a kid, I've been writing fanfiction. In fact, it took a very long time for me to even learn the term 'fanfiction' and realize "Oh. That's what this is. Neat!" (I believe I was very early teens when I first saw the term online.) From the moment I first started writing stories (which came about very shortly after I first learned how to write at all) there was only a short year or two time where I wasn't writing fanfiction. (Hell, my mom still has those short, one page stories I'd write back then. I don't know if it was simply a typo on my part or if I was just really morbid, but they almost always ended with 'And they died.'😂)

🍄- Share a headcanon for one of your favorite ships or pairings. --- (lol, of course you did. And for that, I'm going to give more than one heh~)

Well, I'm not sure if I've stated so here or not (I know I've certainly shared with my best friend over Discord) but I imagine the DA and Damien pretty much fell in love at first sight. And my rendition of the DA doesn't believe in love at first sight lol, yet still got steamrolled with it anyways, realizing what the feeling was just two hours after they met - but being in denial of it being anything more than a crush for months after. Clearly, Love At First Sight took offense to the disbelief lol

Damien's cane and mayor ribbon were a gift from the DA upon winning the election. The ribbon was just a cheeky joke, there was no thought or intent that Damien would go on to actually wear it beyond a few hours after having it pinned to his suit in congratulations by a grinning DA once news arrived that he'd won. Yet, he went on to wear it all the time - regardless of what few people moaned and complained that he was 'bragging' or the like. It came from his Little Monster, so of course he was going to keep wearing it.

As for the cane, it has a sword inside - but only Damien's close friends and family know of it. The DA gave it to him as a covert means of self-defense (though he never had any need to use it) as Damien learned swordsmanship growing up for fun. (Yeah, I'm not the first person to imagine that Damien's cane is a sword cane, I know. In fact, I used to not care for the idea, but it quickly grew on me lol)

🍬- Post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character. --- (Oh, I LOVE being enabled to talk about this ssfvsfvsfvf thank you! I don't know if this is actually unpopular, or simply not spoken of/depicted as much, but)

Dark is NOT evil, cruel, cold, or manipulative.

He is miserable and depressed and drowning in guilt over what happened to the DA (regardless of the fault not being his) and wants revenge on the Actor - though he's quickly lost most drive to actually track the bastard down.

Not once has he ever harmed the viewer character. He's been cryptic, yes, and a little creepy in Date (though I take that portrayal with a grain of salt these days, as he wasn't properly developed as a character yet, it being his first canonical appearance and all) but on that same point, he showed to care more about the viewer's feelings over having shot someone than Mark did. If you listen to his dialogue (or read a transcript) when he and Mark are trying to convince us who to shoot, nothing he says is a lie. In Heist, he seemed only to want to wake the viewer up to the nature of what was going on, stuck in the Actor's games. He nudged us in the right direction with the clues to be found at each ending.

And with the inclusion of the implications given at the end of ISWM, he may have set the entire string of events of AHWM in motion deliberately to get a chance to speak with us to try to help us. Why else would he very likely seemingly attach the warp crystal to that box, which we would then after go to try to steal? Why else would he then simply pull us aside - separate us from Mark - and speak to us, rather than use the opportunity to try to get revenge on the Actor, who was right there?

Being the "villain" has never been his goal.

☁️- What made you choose your username? --- Okay, so. My mom gave me the nickname 'Lou' when I was in my mid-teens. There's no basis upon my name at all for why she did so. Even she doesn't know why she gave me the nickname. (She's just rather silly like that lol) At first I hated it, asked her not to call me that, but it just kept happening and I realized that it would undoubtedly continue to happen - not maliciously, mind you - so I kinda just gave in and had the thought of 'oh, I could make it into a different spelling of the word 'lunatic'.' cause, yeah, edgy teen lol. And I became very fond of it, making it my username across many websites and accounts. I always pair it with either the number 13 or letter 'm', cause 13 is my favorite number and 'm' is the first letter of my birth name lol

mainly fluff

sat at the entrance seat, the captain laces up their shoes slowly yet tenderly. their eyes shining with the warm yellow light of a summer morning shining through the quaint cottage windows of their home. wooden chestnut floors shone the sunlight up and around the house like it always had. the odd sock or bolt lying strewn on the floor making the living room feel lived in. 

the captain finishes tying their shoelaces and leans backwards and into the wall with a deep yet muted sigh. eyes closing to take in the many noises around them

they could hear their colony's ambient noise in their old ears. the odd sound of a modern car humming along on the street, the few people already up and about, the smell of freshly cut grass. it all became background noise that holds a melodic tune to anyone who became used to it. it was the type of noise that you missed when met with total silence. the gentle backing track to the many lives within the colony.

the captain opens their eyes and turns to see their head engineer walking down the stairs in similar looking attire, body hunched over as he hobbles down humming a small tune underneath his breath. the light hitting his grayed hair like a frame to his picture perfect face. each strand was like silver under the light and added a nostalgic age to his wrinkled smile.

"ready to go captain?" he asks, eyes glimmering with an energy they grew to know well.

the captain airily laughs. "you know i haven't been a captain for years now, mark."

"you may not be a captain now," he extends a hand out to them. "but you will always be my captain."

the captain beams, taking his hand and lifting themself up before giving him a small peck on the cheek. "and you will always be my head engineer."

mark flushes, giving a content smile before making his way to the door, his hand holding the captain's. "alright, lets save this fluff for later. we got a busy day ahead of us!"

"lead the way dear."

the day flew by relatively easily.

the captain and mark took a long stroll around the colony, visiting crewmates and colonists alike. even seeing the odd few children who would hide behind their parent's legs in awe of the renowned captain and their engineer.

at noon they were at the park, having brunch with the other crew leads on the invincible and catching up on their lives. burt barely aged a day. the only sign of age shown in grayed hairs and raspy voices. celci still looked more spry than the other three crew leads. her blue hair even more frosty as strands of gray littered across her hair. gunther aged pretty well. face adorned with scars and wrinkles as his circular framed glasses caught the sunlight and made him look like the same gunslinger they knew all those years ago.

by the afternoon, the two found themselves at a local diner opened nearby their home. the night sky shining with its many wonders as the string lights illuminated down onto their table and around the patio. plates of food polished off and eaten.

the captain wipes their mouth of any remains of food, placing the tissue next to their plate as they notice mark's focus on eating his chocolate ice cream.

the captain closes their eyes again. their ears being met with the same melodic ambience within their colony. the faint howling of the wind bringing a slight chill to their face as they take in the communal warmth of their community.

"what are you doing captain?" mark calls, the captain's eyes still shut.

"im just," they pause

"im just listening to my home."

the captain hears a faint noise of understanding before they hear a clicking of a spoon against a bowl.

they continue like this for some time. mark quietly ate his ice cream while the captain listened to the sounds of life around them. nothing but the soft chime of a faint speaker playing songs of old.

"care for a dance cap'?" 

opening their eyes, the captain sees mark absent from his seat. turning their head they find their puppy eyed engineer looking down at them with an extended hand.

they take the offer with a grin. standing up to meet mark.

mark gently pulls on their arm and leads them into the center of the patio. the speakers directly above their hunched bodies as mark places his left hand on their shoulder, his right holding onto their left. the captain swiftly mimics his position before they start slowly swaying to the rhythm.

the captain sighs, head against mark's chest as they sway left and right. 

mark yelps suddenly, his foot stepped on.

the captain looks at him guiltily, "sorry dear!"

"im fine." mark looks up at them, sharply inhaling. "i can take it."

"but still." the captain takes mark's hand. caressing it gently and gently rubbing their thumb across its back. "i suppose i'm not as much of a dancer as before."

mark tilts his head inquisitively. "what do you mean?"

they chuckle, "look at me mark, i'm not the same young and spry captain that stepped foot on the invincible. ready for whatever came their way."

it was mark's turn to take the captain's hand. 

"its funny."

"what is?"

"you remember when i told you 'distance and time are the same thing from different perspectives'?"

the captain nods. eyes looking down at the pavement.

"well. the captain you see is a whole lot different to the captain i see."

mark lifts the captain's head up to meet his gaze. 

he smiles. "and you look like the same captain i fell in love with."

the captain's eyes shone as their heart pounds against their chest.

looking up at him felt like the captain was back on the ship again. arms wrapped around his waist as they held each other tight. young bodies, aged minds, tired eyes. they could see the young engineer that welcomed them aboard, the same engineer who sat with them at the galactic diner, the same engineer who said i do at their wedding.

the captain leans in swiftly for a kiss. the feeling of his lips on theirs holding the same comfort it always had, yet it felt just as exciting as the first. 

breaking apart, the captain and mark gaze into each other's eyes. no words spoken yet holding the same message within. a silent "i love you".

the two would continue to dance under the moonlight. nothing but the noise of life and their hearts to accompany them. 

a captain and their engineer. forever intertwined.

Honestly tho, he really does, Matt out here standing like a girlypop and I find it amusing.

I just remember the fact that Steph though Matt was gay when they first met, and it’s very hilarious to me
