All my headcanon for this guy!

Issac Marion was twenty-one when he was drafted into the United States Navy. A half white half native Hawaiian from the island of Lanai, at ease on the sea and really good at handling claustrophobia. The eldest of seven children, a natural leader and protector. He seemed like he was made to work on submarines. Also has a wonderful talent for free diving.

Making it through ww2. Issac takes up a job as recovering items from suck battleships. Pretty decent money in that business. Issac is 35 now.

He discovered Rapture by pure accident, but Rapture noticed him. Issac isn't a person that enjoys attention, he kept asking to be let go.

Andrew ryan thought he was a government spy.

Issac was drugged up and given to Fontaine to become a big daddy. Fontaine didn't have to do much, Isaac was already a big dude covered in muscle. changed and made into a Monster, Issac caved his old name into his helmets seem so he would remember.

Then there was Ellenore and suddenly everything was better. The name delta didn't feel wrong, he was a big daddy and loved his daughter.

At least until he held a gun to his head under orders, after being shot? Issac came back, knew who he was and what he had to do. No matter what his body was turned into

Topic: Book Wish List

So with Christmas approaching it's time to start assembling wish lists. Every year I always have multiple books on that list, much to the exasperation of my parents. I'm trying to make more of an effort to get books that I'm 70% sure I'll love based on what I've heard about them or samples that I've read. I also tried to pick books that have been on my TBR for awhile, not just because they're in paperback but also because if they've stuck around for a decent amount of time it means that I really want them. I will also only be putting books on the official list that have been released, so while there are some books not out yet that I would love, I'm not putting them with the 5. So here are at least 5 books that I would put on my wishlist.

The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker: This one has been on my TBR for about at least year, and it's funny because before I really heard about this book I saw it at the bookstores all the time and just disregarded it. But now that I have a better idea what it's about, and having read a sample of it, I really want this book. Like I guarantee I will get to it next year. Not only do I love the writing style, and where the story is going so far, but I also like that it's historical fantasy, a genre I'm trying to get into but haven't found any examples yet. It also feels like a great winter read, or maybe that's just the impression that I get from the cover.

2. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas: I've had this book an my TBR a couple months after it came out and there is that fear that this book won't be as good as I hoped it would be, but I've heard nothing but good things about this book. Like every aspect of this book sounds amazing and it's a piece about an important topic. Over the past year I've been turning away from YA fantasy and more toward YA contemporary and this book is at the top of that list of YA contemporaries I want to read.

3. The Burning World by Issac Marion: I've had this book on my TBR for almost 2 years but I keep passing it up and I couldn't tell you why. I liked the first book Warm Bodies (which I would also want to get because I don't own a physical copy) and this is a series I want to continue and see what else happens to the characters and the world. Part of it might be because I never see this book in store so I purchase books that are readily available and sometimes disappointing. As soon as I get my hands on a copy I plan on diving straight into this one.  

4. Iron Gold by Pierce Brown: Right around the time I finished Morning Star, I heard that there was going to be a companion series, and I loved the Red Rising series and I love Pierce Brown so I knew I had to put this one on my TBR. Time passed and the book came out but I wanted to wait until it came out in paperback so that all the editions would match. The paperback edition finally came out in October and I am now eager to get my hands on a copy.  

5. The Starlit Woods: As I've said before, I've really been in the mood for anthologies this year, and this seemed like the perfect one with a gorgeous cover and retellings of a variety of fairy tales, not just the better known ones. Similar to the situation with Burning World, I just never see this one in stores so there isn't as much temptation to immediately get it, but I do want to get it (hopefully before the year is over).

Honorable Mentions: Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal (it was close between this one and Starlit Woods, it's another historical fantasy that has Pride and Prejudice elements to it), The Star Touched Queen Stories by Roshani Chokshi (I loved all the Star Touched Queen books and definitely want to pick this one up soon so I can have more content in that universe), Abaddon's Gate by James S.A. Corey (a very recent edition to my TBR, I liked Caliban's War and I want to get to this one soon to see if it's as good and to dive further into the Expanse series), Unbound Empire by Melissa Caruso (I am dying for this one, but sadly it doesn't come out until April of next year. This is the first book that I think I'm going to preorder).

Warm Bodies

I finally read Warm Bodies by Issac Marion, and I realized that Nora is extremely whitewashed in the movie… so…. that was a major disappointment.

But besides all that, I have to say that the book is tell is absolutely golden with beautifully flawed characters and a wonderfully fleshed out (pun intended) plot. Not to mention that R is such a new and interesting take on zombies, with a great sense of dry humor and intriguing thoughts.

Hello! I was wondering what the boys would name their sons/daughters! Just a smol request :D

YALL im sorry for being so inactive i just haven't been in the mindset for writing and i need a little break. HOWEVER this isn't really writing this is more like a casual discussion where i give my opinion on some of the VDL boys and their choice of baby names so pls enjoy and add anything if u want this is just me rambling.

Arthur

I think Arthur would be quite simple with a name choice only because he’s the biggest sweetheart and I think the name of his child wouldn’t matter since he’d love them regardless. Since his son’s name is Issac which is biblical I think Arthur would name him Aaron or Gabriel since it fits.

If Arthur had a daughter I think he’d name her Charlotte after his encounter with Charlotte Balfour and teaching her to look after herself would remind him of being a dad (not in a weird way)

Dutch

He definitely seems like the symbolic one of the gang so I think if he had either a boy or girl their name would be Evelyn (it can be gn I did some research) as the author of ‘The American Inferno’ has the same name, which is the book he reads in chapter 3 and I think it’s unique but still fits the period.

I also can’t help but think that he might call his daughter Annabelle.

Charles

Pls correct me if I get this wrong but from the research I’ve done I think the boys name Adriel would suit Charles and his son. It means beaver or symbol of skill and Charles is someone who is still deeply connected to his Native American culture and I can picture him leaving the gang to teach his son how to hunt and show him all the skills and knowledge he has.

I also think if it happened after the events of beaver hollow he’d name is son after Arthur.

John

Obviously John has Jack so I wouldn’t really pick a boys name for him but I think if he had a daughter he’d name her after Bonnie. To me John just seems like the type of honour their friendship but that’s just me.

Micah

Half of me feels like he’d name his son Micah but I also think that the name would remind him of his dad too much and the whole ‘don’t grow up to be the man I became’. i think Micah wouldn’t ever want redemption but having a child would be his way of making it right and so he’d name his son something completely different like Henry or George.

If he had a daughter he’d name her Laura, I personally think its a beautiful name and from what I understand its a symbol ‘victory’ in the Greek Era which is fitting for Micah.

Bill

To me Bill is a softie at heart and I think he’d name is child Marion regardless of being a boy or girl. The whole ‘its a family name’ is personal to him and has meaning under all that and I think he’d raise them to be badass and not take criticism from anyone.

Obviously his kid is gonna be a crazy little shit just like him and I personally think his child would have a very Irish name regardless of being in America because he’s proud as hell. 

I think his son’s name would be Leighton or Finn and his daughter’s name would be Siobhan.
