With the incense burning, Hanabi's been cleaning the shrine. With the remaining sets finished, everything was ready to go. It's been quiet. No answers found yet, but she has hope. Or...Well, she HOPES she can lay her father to proper rest. It's the LEAST she can do for him and for her mother after what she's done.
"Haru, I don't want you getting effected by whatever this is so stay over there okay?" And Haru, her little bird chirps worriedly. He complies of course and finds himself flying toward a familiar face. He's comfortably perched on the tall man's shoulder.

Insecurity and lack of confidence overwhelm her. The way she walked down the street made her stick out like a sore thumb. She didn't feel like she belonged and she felt more lost than she had EVER felt (there wasn't much new there.) The difference between Kugisaki Nobara who was lost when she first arrived in this city and the Kugisaki Nobara now was that, at least back then Nobara walked as if she KNEW where she was going. Even if she were lost.
Looking over her shoulder as paranoia began to surface over her shoulder, the sorceress tsk softly.
Right. She wasn't just lacking confidence or dealing with the insecurities of what kind of person she was, but she REALLY was paranoid.

Okay so Constantine is greyscaled in this event but his...double? Is gonna be an analog of Beige!
It's almost as if the WCU never existed. He's a lot lighter, warmer, and more welcoming and more cozy! It is most certainly as if this one's taken another path in life and he's more better off for it!
BEIGE BEIGE BEIGE~♡♡♡♡

This is Oliver's hue. Midnight Blue is perfect because it's home. his homeworld is just dark. There's no sun. Only the moon so it's always nighttime. Oliver's midnight blue is sad. It's the color that represents his sadness, fear, and homesickness.
He won't be his usual sunny self. He'd try, but it's like the SIMS. He's too sad to be jovial.

That's right. Indigo's hue will be an orchid. I find it ironic that they chose a flower's name and are getting a flower color as well. ANYWAY, the purple orchid represents respect, admiration, and dignity. I think this is fitting for them considering what they are and what they also believe.

"Hm." Some angel, huh? He keeps that thought to himself and shrugs as his answer, instead. "If 6:00 Pm then perfect." He finishes up on his black coffee and leans back against his seat in a more comfortable position.
"I'll bring all the ingredients. I'll just need the oven." The last thing he wanted was for Aurelius to sabotage anything. Even if it was highly unlikely that he would.
「✧」 Aurelius gives a long-suffering sigh before stabbing his fork into his dessert. "If I was as angelic as I'm meant to be, I wouldn't even need to eat."
"Recovering my powers is a work in progress. Fortunately, you're repaying your debts at a time when you can still do something for me."
He can't imagine being placated by homemade desserts in his pure divine form. Anyways—wouldn't he just ask Klaus to make them for him then?
"6:00PM is fine. I assume you'll bring the main ingredients, but tell me what else you need. I'll need to consult my partner before I give you an exact day."

"O-Oooh, hahaah! It's nothing! Really!" It's not believable when her face looks the way it does. Almost as if she was just TOO tired to even pretend that she wasn't stricken by guilt.
Ahgh, she felt like she was DROWNING!
"Uhm, everything is a little bit weird isn't it? Are you okay?" Deflection at its finest!

OKAY! Yumine is going to be on the shades of pink! Pink represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, compassion, nurturing, and approachability (THANKS GOOGLE) and these are ALL things that Yumine is.
I think the specific kind of pink she'd be is:
The color Rose Quartz (AGAIN THANK YOU GOOGLE) evokes feelings of romance, sensitivity, femininity, and sweetness as well as serenity. I also feel like this color shade...WHEN I look at it holds an undertone of longingness as well as a blank slate. She's been in control for so long that now she's not entirely SURE what she should do. That's why she's kept herself busy with Starberry Production and as well as working at Hawks Agency! The sense of longing is something she has been carrying with her. Whether it's a sense of longing to belong, find love, be free, etc.

"You don't have to apologize for anything," He says with ease. He may not feel much and the feelings he does feel may be wanting to protect and make sure that Hiyori is alright. He wanted to be there for him. That was enough.
This wasn't permanent and even if it was...? He was okay with it too. Hiyori was Hiyori.
He was okay with the Hiyori who cried because he missed his people, he was okay with the Hiyori who put up a smile in front of all those people on stage, and he was okay with this Hiyori. He loved him in all the Hiyori.
"I'm not." his answer is a whisper. There's not really much behind his voice. It'd just sound like him talking, but man, he knows it's the truth. He hopes Hiyori can sense that. He sighs a soft noise through his nose.
"I'm not dealing with you," he corrects as he turns to look at Hiyori, "I'm just here with you. I'm not going anywhere."
"Thank you. I'm sorry to be... like this, today." Considering this island's regular shake-ups, it was even likely to last longer than that. "It's understandable if you don't wish to deal with me until I'm the way I was before. The boat rental wasn't that expensive."
"...This isn't exactly a false me, however. It's just a side of me I'm normally very skilled at restraining." He paused, observing Constantine with a frown. "Are you disillusioned?"
#sunliteve#sunliteve / 10#isola event colour theory#I woke up and immediately had to reply#too bad Conny can't say that he loves Hiyori. Not that he's ever said it

. . . . .
"Mmhm, I see, I see... Your father did tell us you had a bit of a mishap with your art project. We couldn't help coming to give some advice." Solaris muses, circling the diorama of the city. Currently, it's been moved to a coffee table.
"Yes, he told me I should try and spin it as if I had done such a thing on purpose. But I don't see how I could possibly..." "Oh, we had an idea for that!"
Mimosa flutters from behind, resting her hands on Janus' shoulders. The glint of mischief hiding in her rosy glasses does not escape his notice.
"We could help you mirror it in the city proper, you know!" "What?" "It's an interesting theory. The structures you made still stand, but what gives them life and personality has been greyed out." "I wouldn't say that--" "So how do you fix it? Do you paint them with the hues and values they're supposed to be, or do you pick something new?" "What do you do with the spots where the paint bled together? Do you paint over that, too?"
As the two bounce back and forth in this terrible game of brainstorming, Janus begins to put his hands to his cheeks in mounting horror.
"Oh, no. No no no. Absolutely not--" "If we make someone look like an old black and white movie, what happens? Will they try to change to technicolour?" "Would they paint themselves the colour palettes they're used to? Maybe it's something entirely different. If we make those hues correspond with their personalities..." "I--I'll have no part in this! The last time something like this happened, everything--" "Ah-ah, don't worry."
Mimosa leaves Janus side to twirl next to Solaris, who makes an artful pose himself, as if framing the splotchy mess of a diorama in his hands.
"We have this one completely under control. Not like last time." "I'll make sure of it. Just a little bit of editing... ah, Mimosa, what if we..."
Janus can only move his head as the two take their leave, watching them scheme and snicker. He turns back to look at the model of the city. And in a scramble that almost makes him trip over his own feet, he rushes to his boxes of paints.
"--I have to at least put the base coat back on, or they really won't have anything at all!"
. . . . .
Welcome to another zany event for the fall season! It looks like Mimosa and Solaris aren't done causing trouble, but this time, it should be harmless. Right? (Right...?)
Taking inspiration from a creative mishap, the Stars have decided to effectively render the city in greyscale--including the people residing in it--to see what really makes everyone so colourful. Thankfully, most people will start with a base hue.
What does that mean, though? Here's a handy-dandy list of notes!
As soon as it strikes midnight that night, your muse will find that they've been completely greyscaled, save for one colour that represents who they are at their core, and only that colour! - Think of it like those 'what colour is your soul' quizzes. If your muse was only one hue, what would it be? For example, a character that is inherently cheery might turn completely yellow or pink, while a hot-headed character may turn red or orange to reflect their personality.
Your muse cannot help but feel and act whatever hue/personality they seem to be. However! The more your muse interacts with the people around them, the more colours (and feelings/facets of their personality) will open up to them. This will also physically reflect on them. - If your cheery yellow muse bumps into a sad, blue muse, you'll both have a new colour to express. Now you can feel happy (yellow) AND sad (blue)! And perhaps a sort of melancholy joy, like watching your best friend win that prize you wanted instead of you. Of course, you're happy for them, but sad you didn't win. - Or maybe those two colours mix into being green with envy... And suddenly, you have a new colour ;3
Any inanimate object your muse interacts with (except their Island Issued Cell Phone) will take on your muse's hue. Every step you take will leave a colourful footprint in its wake, every hand rail will have colourful handprints. More on that later.
With enough interactions and perspectives, your muse will be back to their old selves in no time! If, that is, they want to go back to their old selves at all. Maybe another colour palette suits them better than before...?
"It can't be that easy, though."
And, you're right! The experiment did more than reduce everyone to solid (or no) colours! Some other strange things are happening, too. Such as...
The NPCs of the city have not escaped unscathed. Unlike you, though, they have no hue to them at all. However, they'll absorb colours from your muses by proximity and action. - If your deep-green jealous muse is around, NPCs will turn deep-green too, and may want what you have--and might try to take it by force. But a calm mint-coloured muse may just leave you alone and soak up some vibes. - This extends to creatures of the island, too, so watch out!
Sources of water in the city (the ocean, lakes, ponds, swimming pools, etc) will wash away at least one colour from you. (You can still drink and cook with it without any effect, though.) Better not get caught in a rainstorm any time soon!
To combat this, you can find paint cans with a random colour paint in them around the city. You never know what you're going to get, though!
The city itself is completely greyscale, so navigating it might be a challenge without any colourful landmarks to stand out. That being said, your muse will leave colour wherever they go, like they're a giant paint roller. And so will everyone else's muses! Figuring out populated areas will be Very Easy, but you might get disoriented in places that don't get a lot of foot traffic.
These are the major issues...... for now :)
FAQ
"Do I have to pick a hue at the beginning? I can't decide on one."
It's entirely possible that your muse can start in greyscale, and just has No Personality. In that case, they'll take on the hue of the first person they interact with.
"What do we do if a colour has multiple associations with it?"
Each association of that colour is a valid one, and there are no incorrect colour associations. Each colour is whatever you need it to be in the moment. The definition of "red" for your muse may not match the "red" of your RP partner--and that's okay! What may be helpful is to make an event info post explaining your colour choice, how you interpret it, and how it would affect your character!
"Do we have to stick to basic colours like red, yellow, green, blue, etc?"
Nope. Maybe your muse is a mauve, emerald, beige, or aquamarine. Pick any colour you think is best for the moment!
"In theory, could we use the paint cans laying around to add hues to others by splashing them with it or something?"
PVP is enabled, if you want to be a menace! (with mun permission, of course)
"Is the comic in black and white for plot reasons?"
No, I'm just lazy :c
Have a question you don't see on here? You can message the Masterlist!
See you in a week! Make sure to get as many colour perspectives as you can, okay? :)

She hasn't had the chance to check out the library until now. Golden Ward is just so, so far away, and she just can't, can't find the energy. Even now, she felt drained, felt empty, but somehow, someway, she'd dragged herself all the way across the city. She pays no heed to the inky black footprints she leaves behind as she trudges to the university, and finally, to the library.
Part of her felt that she should've been elated at seeing so many books, with no one to judge her reading. Even the few grayscale island residents that hovered around all seemed preoccupied with themselves, leaving her alone.
Nier picked the first one off the shelf that caught her interest, but as soon as her fingers brushed the spine and opened the cover, the black began to spread. It rushed over the pages, blotting out the words and rendering the whole thing unreadable.
Looking up, Nier spots the man who had told her about the library in the first place. Now, part of her feels like she should be heartbroken, but instead, she doesn't feel anything.
"Eiden, look..." she says, voice somewhere between a whimper and a monotone. "The pages are ruined, how can I read it like this? How can anyone read it...?"
She puts the book back on the shelf, and already, the black begins to spread to the neighboring volumes. Watching the color spread like hungry tendrils, Nier sighs. "Ah... Maybe I shouldn't have come here after all..."
#kleinstar#kleinstar 02#isola event#isola colour theory#i wanted to write them at the nice library anyhow

ʚїɞ - "I don't see what everyone is complaining about. Aside from being this weird colour, I don't really feel much different." Probably because Fern always seemed to be plenty indifferent, but the chiffon colour had just made it worse.
"Are you sure you guys aren't just being dramatic?"

It aches. Her heart feels like it's being ripped into bits and pieces. The more this stranger talks, the more her brain agrees and nods with every word. It makes Hanabi feel ill and then, she even feels worse for thinking the way she was thinking.
"Shut up..." she mutters. These tears didn't show any signs of coming to a stop now. "Shut UP, PLEASE. You have no idea what I'm feeling." but of course she did. For whatever reason this woman saw RIGHT through her. She read her like a book.
"Is this what you do? Hide behind---," and she can't even bring herself to say something hurtful.
She's right though...What use is all of this if I couldn't even save and protect the things I love? What was the point of me being born at all if I was going to be the cause of a lot of downfalls?
"I don't need you to tell me how I feel...There's nothing that you can say that I haven't thought about, but....but that doesn't mean I'm going to fall through with it!"
cruel? laughable, really. Giselle has the capacity to be insanely awful, to ruin and even end lives, so to be called cruel for merely talking...? if she wasn't so focused on one thing at the moment, she might have spared a chuckle. then again, if she was operating at full strength with full use of her abilities, she really doubts this girl would even still be alive.
the crying was annoying.
"I'm just being honest. Your pathetic sniveling tells me that I've hit the nail on the head, soooo~" she shrugs, entirely too nonchalant. "You could put your energy into making yourself disappear instead of calling me mean for stating the truth. Think about how good it will feel to not be a burden anymore!"

I KNEW I did this early in the MORNING!
Anyway, Hanabi's hue is the Chevrolet Dark Mulberry Metallic color. It represents her deepest guilt and her unending regret, as well as her self-blame that's located deep within her core. There's an undertone of her having always blamed herself for her parent's divorce (even though her parents had STRESSED that none of anything was her fault) and her blame for her father's death which would have resulted in her mother's own loneliness. There's a sense of loss, of uncertainty, and her own despair.
I'll cap this one at 2!
