Bath and Body Works Coco Cabana and Island Punch Mini Body Splashes
1997-1998ish
Coco Cabana found on Pinterest, user G Johns
Island Punch is my personal picture from my collection
I also had the bag of Island Punch soap that I posted a while ago on here. That's one of my earliest BBW memories, before I even started buying art stuff!! I would buy the soap for my collection but it's too big and bulky.

i think that majority of the people have the wrong idea about what was going on in sanji's head when he left for wci by himself. you are only partially right if you think it's cause of his bullshit self sacrificial tendencies. what he did IS a sacrifice but way too many people seem to think that one of the reasons he tried to handle it all on his own is 'cause he didn't think luffy could handle fighting two powerhouses/cause he didn't trust luffy. for fuck's sake, this man was by his captain's side when he declared war on the world government. sanji whole-heartedly believes in luffy's downright baffling and almost godlike power. he trusts his captain will win any fight he gets himself into.
he just thinks that he isn't worth fighting for. that he isn't worth getting hurt over.
the thing is, right, he loves luffy. he loves the crew. he knows the crew loves him. but he himself thinks he is fundamentally disposable. this thought is first seen in thriller bark when he tries to stand in front of kuma, calling zoro stupid for abandoning his ambition and throwing away his life and dream instead. he says "i've always been prepared to sacrifice myself for the others." and he says it like, this is all that i am good for. he tells them they have to find a new cook because sanji genuinely, whole heartedly believes he is dispensable. he thinks, that old man ate his leg to save my dream so i will die to save theirs. little does he know that he is so, so wrong. zeff is not some hero who was trying to save a kid he didn't know. zeff isn't a good man. zeff's choice wasn't a sacrifice. it was a choice. he chose to save sanji and bestow him with his dream. he chose to love sanji like his son. but sanji always sees himself as something that zeff or luffy couldn't avoid because they were fundamentally kind people who took in strays and were burdened with him, that he was an obligation they were trying to fulfill. he shoulders all this and thinks, he thought i was worth something when I really was not so maybe, like this, i can be useful.
but zoro knocks him out and he doesn't get that zoro was trying to say that he is indispensable, that he matters to the crew. no, what he hears is the crack of his ribs and feels white-hot shame because of course, what was he thinking, his life isn't worth that much. he isn't worthy of dying for his captain. he is weak and useless and pathetic. and because zoro and sanji are zoro and sanji, they never clear up this neat little misunderstanding.
now at whole cake island, he does the same thing. he knows luffy will come for him, you see, because he knows his foolish captain loves him. but he kicks him and screams obscenities because he thinks himself unworthy of all that love. he thinks himself hollow, a vessel of convenience. there are a million fighters in the grandline and even more cooks and none of them are even half fucked up and selfish and needy as he is. surely luffy will be better off without him. luffy can win this fight, but sanji thinks he shouldn't have to fight because he thinks he isn't worth fighting for.

Jo would either dress up as a psycho killer or she'd pick the most low-effort costume imaginable (and here I've chosen the latter)

Perhaps it's an odd question but since you speak the language you'd know a lot more than I do. Does Don Flamenco speak with any particular accent or dialect outside of just general 'Spanish?' I know a lot of languages vary heavily in terms of things like pronunciation and certain word usage. Main reason I ask is because I saw someone discuss elsewhere how despite speaking French that Glass Joe is very obviously voiced by a Francophone Canadian because of the pronunciation and accent. It's something that fascinated me since I don't know the language enough to be able to make that kind of distinction, and now I'm curious if any of the other foreign opponents have that kind of accent that's obvious to an actual speaker but would go over the head of someone who isn't fluent
Took me a bit and had to ask my mom for some input since she's more knowledgeable about dialects than I am.
For sure the biggest thing was the accent. First sentence in and the big thing about Castilian Spanish is how they pronounce their s and z sounds respectively.
Like the phrase "has visto hombre?" In Spain Spanish, there's a bit of a lisp (varies from how noticeable it is, I'd say moreso if you speak Spanish predominantly) that is sounds more like "hash vishto hombre?"
He doesn't speak a lot of varied words where pronunciation distinctions are made, like 'corazon'(which he'd have pronounced as 'corathon'), and I'm not good at explaining i fear 😔
I think aside from the accent, the gotcha moment is for sure "me has pillado!" That's is for sure exclusively Castilian Spanish, as i haven't heard anyone (both family as Mexicans and friends from Panama, Columbia, and Puerto Rico, and Peru) use that word.
Some things aren't exactly exclusively used in one country or another (and we start getting into my personal preference) but more of a "this works, but would probably use a different word instead":
"Has visto, hombre?" This could work for other forms of Spanish, but id probably change it to "has visto, güey?" For Mex Spanish.
"Me llamen Don, Don Flamenco" This also works but I find it so weird to say. I'd just change "llamen" to "dicen", although ma reports either works and comes down to personal preference.
So yeah he's very much a Spaniard if his looks weren't enough, but from what I've seen Don Flamencos va is from Spain and does a lot of Spain Spanish dubs, so they got him down pretty good.
Bonus: 'Don' is a Spanish Title and was usually reserved for nobility, but nowadays is more relaxed and used as a more polite title for someone you aren't exactly in familiar terms with, but are friendly/cordial nonetheless. It's sort of like an honorific similar to Sir or Mam, but used with the forename instead of the surname. I've seen it used more in Mexico(It's used more for older folks who can teeter onto the elderly, so it's funny that Don Flamenco uses it since he's only 23 lmao, but im probably looking at it in a more modern/Mexican American context)
Uhhh yeah I don't think I ended up making sense because it's very much a "he just is man. Listen to that. Lil Spaniard boy. Cmon say "Traición" i won't laugh i promise" but it's as clear as day he's Spanish lol

Usopp in WCI would have been too powerful because he would have just stopped the wedding as Sogeking and gotten married to Sanji in the middle of the battle and the arc would have lasted less than 5 episodes

God.
I love the QSMP so damn much.
All of the individual storylines, main plot points, and small interactions give me so much life.
It's just this close-knit community of characters that have come to love each other and become fast friends and family.
There's angst and drama and horror and mystery and just about everything else but there is always this core feeling of community and care that has been created.
It's not even exclusive to the server itself either. Seeing all of these different communities come together and get to know each other and become more comfortable with themselves has been so incredible. The streamers themselves have become such good friends they are all planning when they can next meet everyone or travel to someone's home country. It's just incredible.
The world feels so damn negative these days, but here is this Minecraft server actively standing a bright beacon of light. Yes. It's not perfect, but it's incredibly human and very enjoyable to be able to see and interact with.
Every admin and player who has even remotely had a hand in the QSMP has made something truly incredible, and we are shown that every day.
