• How I feel about this character

Ohhhhh my god Mercedes I love her so much, easily one of my favorite s1 moms : D

I think of her the same way Ponyo describes her mom: “She’s big and she’s beeeeeeaaaaauuuutiful!!!”

• All the people I ship romantically with this character

Henry Oak-Garcia, the pair of them are perfect for each other and long term I don’t think I could ship her with another unless Henry was explicitly involved and part of it

He is her tiny twink husband, and she really loves being able to pick him up and twirl him : D

Carol Wilson! I am of the mind that she’s a lesbian and even outside of that, she and Darryl could’ve stood to see other people. On that journey, I think she would’ve found a few passionate nights with Mercedes Oak-Garcia

• My non-romantic OTP for this character

Non-Romantic! I’d have to say Carol again.

The pair of them have a mole in the same spot, right beneath an eye and despite being incredibly science minded, something about Mercedes claiming this meant the stars had destined them to be fast friends made Carol’s pulse race.

Then also!!!

Mercedes and her babies, she loves them so so much. I haven’t figured out how I want to go about it yet, but I wanna write a scene of her taking care of the twins. They need their Mamá!

Hmm! I don’t know if I hold any opinions about her that are explicitly unpopular?

• One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wish we’d gotten to see her relationship with the twins more, I know it was about the dads but the things I would do to have her hug her boys at multiple points

Lighthearted Grant headcanon I love: yes, he has a lot of games he’s good at on his phone as an adult, but he also has Sudoku and sucks at it. He only uses it because he was worried about his memory and knows it’s supposed to be good for brain training but the amount of frustration and rage it causes him is probably not doing his brain any favours 😂

What’s your favorite part of Zelda games? (Adventuring, Characters, Dungeons, Combat, etc.) My faaaavorite is story and characters. LoZ games have such charming characters in them, I can't help getting attached to them. I have favorites in pretty much every game I've played or watched someone else play, and then every time I replay/rewatch I'm like 'HI! I love you!!' Don't get me wrong, I also love gameplay stuff a lot (all the exploration in BotW/TotK and the great bosses and dungeons in OoT and TP stand out) but it's STORY and watching my little guys scamper about adventuring or living their lil' village lives etc., that really hooks me.

What piece of the Triforce would you wield? Oh Wisdom for sure. I'm a scholar by nature (and there's no way the other two would fit me) and also I can shoot light beams. You all knew that, right? Anyway catch me hanging out with any Zelda reading books and learning about history and science and giving advice on strategy and politics/law.
