#tesinktober2020 day 14: Dark Brotherhood Time for a mini oblivion comic! Or as I like to call it, annoying the guards with Issy and Lucien...Because let’s be honest here, annoying the imperial watch really is the best part of the game. I had this little scenario in my head and it made me giggle to myself too much to not get it down on paper and share it with all of you. I was EXTREMELY happy when Bethesda brought back Lucien as a Spectral Assassin in Skyrim along with my beloved Shadowmere the very likely demon horse! She’s the best 11/10 good horse. This was also a bit of an experiment for me as I used hot press paper instead of my usual cold press, and watercolour pencils (and ink for lineart + some gel pens later to add some shine) as my experiments with regular paint on hot press, while they weren’t terrible...they aren’t up to my usual standard (see that one painting of the dunmer sorceress that is coming + the painting of my OC Valan with the cloak and gold ink...I really like the gold ink on the hot press) The pencils worked SOOOO much better!! I still prefer cold press but I’ve got about 8 sheets left in this pad of paper so might as well use it for silly watercolour pencil comics! He’s right, but he shouldn’t say it. The falkreath sanctuary always disappoints me in comparison to the Cheydinhal one. The design of the enviornment is cool but the characters just aren’t the same...I want Ochevah back ;-; best argonian mom...in other news I sort of learned how to paint light with this? I saw the #faceyourartchallenge has been going around again so here’s my #faceyourart2020 version. I hope you like it! When putting it together I noticed I use a lot of blues and reds in my work, and some yellow but more muted yellow, and muted/neutral tones in general. I included a mix of my two styles. And now enters the resident edgelord, Isabelle "Issy" Mckinnion. The Hero of Kvatch, Listener of the Dark Brotherhood Cheydinhall sanctuary, Member of The Blades, The Grey Fox, her best friend is a ghost, champion of numerous daedric princes (The Skeleton Key is among her prized possessions, thanks Noctural) and generally involved in any criminal activity you could probably think of. Together with Valan when he visits (and Lucien Lachance the rest of the time) the two of them are responsible for pranking the Imperial captain of the guard so hard, he transferred across the country..little did he know that that makes it even easier, she's got a hideout about five minutes from his new post. Issy falls into the category of "morally grey" and is capable of doing good things. She loves her friends (and eternally feels survivors guilt from the result of the purification) and 110% will absolutely slap Delphine if she suggests killing Parrthurnax one more time. QOTD: Do you prefer going out or staying in? I’m very much an introvert but every now and then I like to go out with my friends when I can Here’s a painting that I had originally started in Art club at some point earlier in the year (I think January) and after a lot of procrastinating it is now finally done! I might go back and darken the sky, I’m not sure, and maybe add some coloured pencils for texture? Anyways, this is one of if not the largest paintings I’ve done. It's on 11x14 mixed media paper and fills the whole page as you can see.
