If I could, I would like to write something beautiful and full of meaning. A story that touches people, or a book someone carries with them and recommends to anyone who will listen. Maybe even a poem with multiple layers. But if I stare at the blank page or the empty Word-document before me, nothing comes out. The pages stay empty. White and unwritten, saved without changes.

And it is so crazy because my head is full of thoughts. Sometimes I think my thoughts will overflow and disappear, like heavy rain during a dry summer. But if I see the empty page before me, it is like a wall appears. My thoughts are cut off from me. Ideas, inspiration and creativity out of reach.

I am alone.

Alone with the page that is still unwritten, the document that stays empty. It feels like they are taunting me, like children on a playground: Come on then. Do something. I let them win. I close the notebook, shut down the laptop and flee back into the warm safety of my thoughts.
