note. hi hi nonnie :( sorry for the very late update to your ask — uni has been busy lately, but i promise all my inbox is going to be emptied, even if it takes long.

TOJI FUSHIGURO. he tries to make you show emotions — teasing you, annoying you, anything that could make you be at least a little emotional; whether it is happy or sad (kidding, he wants you to be happy all times).

toji doesn't actually mind. but he wanted you to be more reactive of his teasing, because he didn't get the point of teasing if you weren't angry at him. instead of you being angry, or telling him that he should stop, all he got was a nod and an "it's okay".

so the top of his bucket list was to break down this emotionless wall of yours.

preparing a snack for both you and toji at movie night, you spent your sweet time in the kitchen. waiting for the popcorn to cook, when suddenly he stomped inside, boldly asking you, "what the fuck do we have for snacks?"

seeing you flinch in surprise, toji awaited your answer. ready to receive a mouthful of angry words, but all you did was stare at him with those beautiful doe e/c eyes of yours — and you meekly said, "popcorn."

the male's gaze softened as he reaches his hand out to you, "don't ever let me talk to you like that ever again," he pulled you into a warm embrace, "got it?"

you nod, "okay."

he never does that again.

ITADORI YUUJI. opposites attract. opposites attract. opposites attract. i said what i said. yuuji finds you amusing, especially the way you're always so unbothered about . . . everything? he asks himself how you're able to do that, and tries to find out the anatomy behind it. which ended up leaving him more clueless than ever.

you get a cut on a mission? you were just okay. you get hit by something that wasn't directed at you? okay. you get insulted? okay. it was okay, okay, and okay with you.

although, the male is a firm believer that even you — could feel hurt sometimes. after all, you are still human, right? so he's always the one telling people off for you, even if you tell him that it's not needed and that you were okay. yuuji doesn't believe in that.

"hey, piss off — don't say that about my partner." yuuji glares at a male, eyeing him up and down in menace.

"yuuji, let's go," you grabbed the back of his collar and pulled him away from the scene, and yuuji was still giving out stink eyes to the same male, motioning his finger across his neck like a threat.

even if you didn't manage to express it, you were very very thankful for him. because he is right. you do feel hurt at times, but it was something you hear a lot so you don't bother.

YUUTA OKKOTSU. honestly, he gets pretty intimidated at first. he's always so fidgety around you — it's pretty funny. but when he actually got to know you, yuuta's a little surprised that you could crack out jokes (unknowingly), and everyone ends up laughing . . . except for you.

he's really attracted to you. and rika, well, she wasn't the keenest on knowing that (she tried to hurt you) — but yuuta was there to tell her off nicely. rika still didn't like you at all, she tolerates you at times, but after a mission with yuuta, where you found yourself in a position of taking a blow meant for him. rika still hates you (not), it's getting there, she didn't want to kill you. that's progress.

"why did you do that?!" yuuta ran towards you, grabbing your upper arm, pulling you up.

". . . do what?" you asked nonchalantly before wincing out in pain.

and i guess, ever since then, yuuta has been stuck to your hip. he gets really excited to see you, even if you don't look as excited. but still — something about you attracts him, which eventually leads to the both of you dating.

still the same, you barely show any emotions. barely. that was also progress, with him, you could actually be honest with your feelings. but with anyone else? big no.

yuuta feels very honored. protects you. tells rika to protect you. he's so in love with you.

SUKUNA RYOMEN. oh, he despises it a lot. this man, he isn't satisfied if he doesn't get a reaction out of you — which he doesn't. most of the time. at most, you're going to brush him off and walk away, which he deemed as "being angry", but he's just embarrassed because it's not often someone brushes him off just like that.

kind of like a love language. he teases you to show affection, but when you don't react. it's like a punch to the gut, like you don't acknowledge his love for you.

but sukuna would never say that out loud.

despite that, you also had a way of showing love to him. it's not one of the 5 main love languages, but it works for him. sukuna pretends not to know, but he knows. and he secretly loves it.

you always. always without forgetting a day, scribble down on a post it note and leaving it somewhere that sukuna always notices. whether it being on the fridge stuck to a magnet, on the kitchen island, on the coffee table in the living room, by the corner of the bathroom mirror, by the snack cabinet. sukuna could always find at least three in a day, randomly stuck around.

and on the note, it would just be a random "i love you" or a cute doodle of animals holding a heart or a flower for him. he didn't ask you why you do it the first few times and just goes along with it, secretly keeping them all in a secret place where he makes sure you weren't going to find out.

"why'd y'keep leaving these random notes everywhere?" sukuna grunted.

"why? should i stop?" oh, sukuna was actually a bit mortified at the thought of not finding anymore notes specifically made for him, so he could only be silent, "doesn't matter what you think — i like making 'em."

oh, thank god.

he never questions you on it ever again in fear that you'd actually stop.

You look up at her as you lay across her lap.

Cynthia looks down, her uncovered grey eyes locking with yours. She can’t help but smile, you look so cute in her lap, gazing at her with such love yet curiosity.

“Yes, dear?”

“Would you still love me if I was a worm?”

Her brain stops.

She blinks once, twice, before rapidly doing so. You look at her so earnestly, like you want a genuine answer….but-

“What kind of worm would you be? It would I entirely depend as Snoms, Caterpies, and wurmples are all wildly different. And if you want to be technical burmies as well, since they are the bag worm Pokémon-“

“Cynthia.”

“Oh, yes?”

“Would you love me if I was a worm?”

“Dear, that entirely depends on which worm though!”

You watch as she rambles, listing off the logistics, and what each worm needs and how well it would do in certain environments.

She probably would, but you’ll never get an answer as her mind plays all sorts of scenarios.

She loves it when you spent time with her at work, she’s usually alone so no one is around to tell you or her off for this, and she uses every chance she can to love on you. But she notices you have something on your mind.

She hums, moving you from her lap to on top of her desk.

“Got something on your mind, doll?”

“Would you still love me if I was a worm?”

Oh you’re too cute for her heart to handle! You look so meek, so nervous, so adorable, fuck she loves you.

“Oh sweetie.” Rika places a kiss to the tip of your nose.

“I’d buy you the best fruits for your little work self to feed on, let you ride around on my shoulder just so I can still love on my buggy baby.”

Her smile grows as you giggle, covering your mouth while you do so, but she continues.

“Get you a nice big enclosure covered in pretty flowers, and with a nice branch for you to get cozy on. And of course a lot of the most how quality dirt I can get ya.”

“All for me?”

“All for you, no matter what you’re my sunshine.”

And she will be damned if anything happens to you.

You knew what the answer would be, at least, you thought you did. After getting injured and being sidelined until you’re fully healed, you’ve been bothering your betrothed a lot more now that you can’t leave the village.

And she’s the only one constantly around for you to lovingly bother.

You sat in her office, Abra dozing in your lap from all your comforting pets. The silence being filled with Cyllene’s pen moving across paper.

Your silence has her concerned, usually you’re more chatty or at least much closer to her, you never sit to the side like this.

“Cyllene?”

She glances over to you before looking back at her paperwork.

“Yes, dear?”

“Would you still love me if I was a worm?”

The office falls still and quiet.

Her pen to the side and she looks deep in conflicted thought.

You thought you’d get an out right ‘no’ but you never thought you’d make her spiral.

You can see her arguing with herself in her head, unsure of what to even say. On one hand she loves you dearly, you mean so much to her, on the other hand….she loathes bugs, she can’t even imagine being in the same room as a wurmple!

But the bug would be you…

“Cyllene, please breathe!”

She’s snapped from her thoughts as you gently shake her, your arm around her back and your free hand on her forearm.

She takes a few deep breathes to calm herself, but you can’t escape her questioning.

“Why ask such a thing? You know I love you, correct?”

“I do, I just…thought it would be a silly thing to ask, maybe joke about it?”

You nervously laugh, feeling her steen gaze staying locked onto you.

“You truly are something else.” She sighs.

But you perk right up “But that’s why you love me!”

You’re right, but damn.

i don't know if you still do accept requests. If you can, could you write about V, Jumin and saeyoung dealing with an MC who is really selfaware of their scent? Let's say that when they were younger they were always bothered by the smell from other people, even though they take good care of themselfs now, they are still a little insecure about it, like not hugging them or getting close if they are sweaty or when they have just woken up.

Jumin understands that this is an insecurity of yours that won't go away overnight. You've held onto the belief that you don't smell good for one reason or another, and it's largely chipped away at your self-confidence. It doesn't take much for him to want to research why this is such an issue for not only you, but for many people out there since it seems this isn't a localized issue.

It boils down to a few different things, but he's quick to note classism and racism are at the top of the list. He sighs, because he should've known as much, unfortunately. The world is cruel for no reason other than to be cruel sometimes.

But, he isn't one to stand by and do nothing when he knows he's in a good position to do something. Jumin is just the kind of person who wants to make things better for everyone, not only his partner! Your smile is important to him, but he knows he never wants anyone to be in a position where they feel the same as you have felt. So, be warned ahead of time that he'll want to talk about your experience when you feel ready to talk about it. He wants to better understand what things he could do to make a difference, not just in your life, but others, too.

In regards to your comfort, he won't take it personally if you feel like space will help you feel better. He's never put much thought into how he smells before, frankly. He's taken his fair share of showers and put on cologne, but outside of that, it never occurred to him that people might be smelling him and judging him for it. Sure, you'd think a guy like him who's had no real choice but to be aware of his presentation would know better, but it's one of those things he's never put thought into beyond surface level thoughts.

He doesn't want you to feel down about yourself. So, what can he do? Affirm that you smell good? Not say anything at all? Purchase all the soaps and perfumes you like to better help you explore what scents you enjoy? He isn't sure what would be preferable, but he's listening to your concerns and taking stock of them. Nobody will ever say an ugly word about your scent again on his watch. He would love to be able to cuddle with you and relish the moment, but... even he needs time to quell his butterflies. There's no rush to force yourselves into something when you're still learning comfort and boundaries.

Saeyoung understands what you mean before you say it. He grew up in a house that didn't care about his needs. Do you really think that he was allowed to take showers every day? Much less every few days? It all came down to what his mother tolerated, and that woman gave no room for him to be comfortable, much less his brother. I assume that he let Saeran take showers first, far more than he did, because there was always a risk of infection on his brother's half if he wasn't allowed to clean up as often as possible. Saeran needed that. He let go of his time to shower so Saeran could.

Rika pointed out that he was a bit dirty when she first met him, and that's to be expected. She didn't judge him for it. She knew what it felt like to be kicked out on the street with no way to take care of her needs. I have no doubt that many shops would kick him out before he had a chance to finish his shopping because of his appearance. He's well aware of what people think of someone who is poor and may not be able to clean up as often as someone with free access to a shower. He isn't going to judge you for being self-conscious.

He knows what it feels like and if we're honest here, he feels the same as you. He makes a point to take a shower at least once a day, if not twice, not only because he's worried about his smell, but because the agency has made him do some disgusting things... and he never feels clean enough afterward. He doesn't talk about those experiences that often for a reason. But, you can tell what he's thinking when he stays in the shower for longer than twenty minutes.

So, you can expect him to comfort you with a second thought. You don't have to explain why you're nervous to hug him... he knows that instinctual reaction. But, if it makes you feel better and you're not afraid of him being with you in the bathroom, he'll offer to run a nice bath for you and do your hair! It's not because he thinks you're stinky, it's because he wants to show you you deserve tenderness no matter how you smell, and what he wanted was for someone to offer that sort of kindness when he felt his lowest. If that's not it, he'll listen to whatever you'd prefer him to do first!

Jihyun, similar to Jumin, hasn't always had to think about the way he presented himself to the world. At least, that was the case when he was a little boy. As he began to come into his own and interact with people, he began to notice subtle biases and the way people hold themselves in front of others vs when they're alone. When he encountered Rika in the gallery, that was one of the first times he saw someone shine like a wonderful light... and then dim like a candle when he met her eyes.

He was intrigued by that, for better or worse, and the more time that he spent volunteering, the more he realized the world was different from what he thought it to be. He was so caught up in proving himself as an artist to his father that he didn't think of others the way you would have expected him to. It doesn't mean he wasn't outright unaware of scent and the insecurities that could arise with it, but... it says more about how self-centered he was until he unfortunately lost his mom.

He has his own fears when it comes to being close to another person. It's not about smell for him, though. It's about the scars he has (I truly believe he has them from the accident) and the fear of baring himself to another person again without knowing what might happen ahead of time. He needs time to unravel himself in front of you, just as you are in need of the same. You both need to talk about these things as you grow closer to one another. There's no rush to figure this out and you don't have to be afraid of what's to come when you do get closer.

So, what can he do to help you feel better? He knows buying soap and perfume isn't always the answer, and doing so may make you feel worse no matter if you asked him to or not. He wants to listen, and not only that, he wants to grow as a person and know he can be there for you just as you've been there for him. You can trust him to do his best for you, with a smile on his face. You will never have to feel down on yourself when he's there because you've done the same for him.

So I was mulling over answering this question for the past week because I kept on overthinking things and just had so many things I wanted to talk about ranging from character analysis to OC's or just generally talking about favorite characters but instead of talking about any of that I've decided instead to talk about something that has been plaguing my mind for a while which is

Now hear me out this is something which has been plaguing my mind for a while like it just won't leave me alone so as a monster fucker myself I have decided to analyze which characters I believe would be down to get freaky with someone who possesses more monstrous features for example something like sukuna's heian era true form like like the scale of a monster fucker can range from human with monster features like claws multiple eyes extra limbs and appendages or a half human hybrid to a literal eldritch abomination that doesn't resemble anything human I will be basing this all by the way on my own personal opinion so it's okay if you disagree just please don't attack me for my opinion this is also half serious and half for fun so don't be so dramatic about it I'm just doing this for fun and also cause I thought it'd be funny to talk about

So I have been thinking of this for a while and since there are so many characters in JJK I've narrowed down my list to the top 8 I believe have the most potential the list by the way is in no order I just put the people I believe to be down to bang a monster if possible or if their s/o was not human/or half human or happened to possess a cursed technique that altered their body to give them a more monstrous appearance now anyways let us begin the list with

Kashimo

Now I will now explain my reasons as to why I believe these characters are monster fuckers

Kenjaku - Come on now we all know how freaky this man is he legitimately banged sukuna's reincarnated twin and even gave birth if that's not freaky I don't know what is also not just that he's also shown to be a highly curious and knowledge driven person so I believe he would be 100% down to bang a someone a lot more on the monster side both for curiosity and at the same time just to experience it and just in case it may come in handy in the future

Kashimo and Yorozu - I group these together because it's because these two are just down bad for Sukuna like yorozu was legit willing to throw herself at him in his true form what's not to say she wouldn't be willing to bang him also in that form and we all know that one panel of kashimo witnessing sukuna transform into his true form and calling him "beautiful" like I also believe he would down to smash if you possessed inhumane qualities

Yuta - Now I think we can also tell why I put him here like that man has already been shown to not be afraid of kissing cursed spirits examples being rika and that cockroach curse (I forgot it's name) in the culling game so I think it's safe to say he probably would be willing to smash if you had monster qualities I also believe that he wouldn't judge your appearance no matter how monstrous as long as you were a good person

Choso - I feel like he's a lot like yuta in that he's not one to judge if you looked more on the monstrous side like the whole reason he went along with kenjaku's plan at first was so that he's brothers could live in a world where they wouldn't be discriminated for their appearance so I feel like as long as he liked you he wouldn't mind getting down and dirty

Yuki - It's kinda hinted at in the manga that she had a thing for choso and to be honest who could blame her she has fantastic taste honestly but because of that I feel like she also wouldn't mind if you were not exactly fully human like how choso was half human half curse or had a more monstrous appearance if she likes you she likes you simple as that

Hiromi - Now please hear me out on this one he may seem out of place on this list but I just feel that deep within my soul that this man is a monster fucker like I feel like after he goes off the rails he legitimately would not care to be honest if you had more monstrous appearance as long as you were a good person and he also did say that he's been trying out new things he hasn't done before and banging a monster could be one of them

Toji - Same thing for hiromi honestly not that much proof more or less the vibes I get from him like this man seems also like such a freak he wouldn't mind doing the nasty if you didn't look exactly human like he did say that the cursed spirit kuchisake-onna looked interesting for a one night stand so yeah I feel like he'd be down

So anyways this is my list and opinions thank you for sticking through to the end and listening to me be unhinged and ramble about this if you have any other characters you think could be on the list let me know I would be happy to discuss it

a non-comprehensive list of notable individuals that rika has had some sort of Situation(tm) with, or at the very least, potential outcomes i can think of with the majority of other league members (so very likely not all of these happen in the same universe):

erika. was surprisingly less hurt over rika's dine-and-dash approach than one might expect. but i mean. she has like ten girlfriends who just hang out around her gym. she's fine. tbh she probably forgot rika's name fairly quickly after the whole ordeal

whitney. probably one of the worst outcomes. up there with malva just in terms of nuclear emotional meltdown. thank god whitney doesnt have the kind of social influence malva does. rika lives in her head rent free, to the point where rika has to change their phone number every so often bc whitney's figured out whatever new one they have and spam texts them.

clair. they had intent, but didnt actually end up doing anything because both of them wanted to be Dominant and couldn't find a compromise they could agree on. rika finds her fairly intimidating. (despite seeing rika as a switch, theyre not gonna be submissive to anyone but geeta imo)

roxanne. roxanne is still mad at herself for falling for those charms. so so so mad. and shes even more upset with herself that she knows shed let rika get away with it again. wants to put her foot down and block rika's number but can't bring herself to do it.

winona. sees rika as a skeezebag. can acknowledge that rika is objectively charming and very conventionally attractive, but more than anything finds them kind of annoying and gets more enjoyment out of ignoring them and putting off vibes that theyre nothing special. ultimately doesnt put any energy into any interactions but its a bonus if she can tell her indifference is chipping away at that ego a bit.

roark. imo roark is a trans man and they hooked up before he cracked his egg. at the time, rika being a dipshit skeezebag hurt, but he got over it pretty quick.

candice. one of the few people where rika realized that they actually felt some emotions and ended up having a bit of a crisis about it. in another life, i think they'd actually be a fairly interesting ship, tbh. they remain on good terms, and there is definitely some sort of tension between them that scrambles rika's brain a bit.

elesa and skyla. both of them were only willing to go for it if their girlfriend could be involved too. tbh im far more interested in a potential friendship between the three of them, i think the three of them hanging out would be delightfully annoying.

roxie. has the hots for rika so bad that its funny. cant be in the same room as them at league meetings bc she gets way too worked up and flustered and it turns into aggression. theyve never done anything and tbh rika is fine with that bc its almost more fun just to know what kind of hold they have on roxie's brain

viola. similar to roxanne. i think if she and roxanne were to ever have the opportunity to commiserate over how much rika sucks, theyd end up being a pretty good support system for one another and finally be able to give rika the boot.

bea. was much much much more emotionally wrecked than you might expect and swore off dating for several months after the fact. could benefit a lot from the roxanne and viola support group.

katy. i feel like she and rika have a long and rocky history together. katy got strung along by rika for far too long and still bears the emotional scars, but has become a much more self assured person for it. highly resents in general being seen as a pushover, and rika only makes this worse. i feel like youd have to work pretty hard to get on katy's bad side, and rika is right there at the top of her shitlist.

phoebe. straight up cursed rika once rika tried to pull their usual shit. rika had to beg and grovel for forgiveness for a good long time.

malva. haha. god

diantha. im so on the fence about this one. i can see diantha thinking rika might be a fun romp, but i can also just as easily see her 1000% seeing them as a skeezebag. regardless, diantha has slapped them across the face.

Relief

Summary: After a nightmare, Emory finds relief in her safe haven. based on a prompt list a friend sent me: physical touch to feel safe.

Emory

Sunlight streams in through the round bay window in the living room, but it doesn’t warm my skin. I know, without reason to, that it is a summer and I am alone. Grand-mere is already gone, and the chill of the home, empty of her, sinks into my bones. 

I look around the house that I grew up in. Everything is exactly the same as it was before. All the furniture is arranged just how Martin likes it. Perfect, not a pillow out of place or a speck of dust on the mantle. 

I shouldn't be here.

Despite the heavy feeling settling in my stomach, I approach the stairs as I always do, placing my hand on the railing worn smooth through three generations of my family, listening for the familiar creaks in the floor boards.

At the top of the stairs is my brother's room. The door is cracked open, but it's too dark to see inside. I ignore it, rounding the banister toward my room, even though I know Martin turned into something else, a gym or an office. I never learned what exactly. 

Wait. Martin always keeps his door closed.

I inch back around, peering into the deep shadows beyond the door. My gut churns, my instincts trying to tell me something I can't understand. Inside, there's a thump – the sound of boots hitting the floor.

It's him. 

I rear back, stumbling and grabbing for something - anything - to keep upright. I need to go.

I shouldn’t be here.

I don’t want to be here.

Through the panic, I hear a woman's voice calls out. “Emory?" 

“Alex?” I answer, confused. Turning around and scanning the hall, I see a light at the end, in my grandma's room. Why is she here? She shouldn’t be here.

The floor above me creaks, footsteps moving around the attic, along with muffled voices. Who's up there? There shouldn't be anyone up there; all that's there is my family's old furniture and clothes.

Behind me, more thumps, heavy and familiar; a warning. Martin never did creep. He liked me to know when he was coming. Alex calls my name again from down the hall, followed by feminine laughter. Rika and Banks and Winter are with her.

My vision slows and the world tilts. 

He shot Alex. I remember it. The blood, her pale face, the rage of everyone.

How I couldn't stop it.

He has his gun now. The knowledge of this is inescapable.

So is the knowledge that he’s going to kill all of them and leave me alone again. It’ll be all my fault because I didn’t stop him when I should have.

I charge towards the door with the light, ready to physically drag each one out of the room to safety. I pass my room and stop. A much larger body stands by the window, lighting a candle. It's fire glows warm against the inky black night behind the glass.

When did it get dark?

Will. He sets the candle gently on the sill.

He shouldn’t be here, either. I rush in to grab him, my fingers hooking around the back of his white shirt like claws, bunching the stiff material.

“Will. We have to go. Go downstairs.”

Will turns around and smiles. And his smile is everything. It’s bright neon lights and ocean spray and that feeling of reaching the crest of a roller coaster right before it plummets to the bottom and it’s the feeling of free falling, stomach in your throat before the track swoops up again.

“Em,” he says, cupping face with both hands. His thumbs brush across my cheekbones, and he tilts his head, still smiling. "My little Emmy."

“Will,” I mumble. Inexplicably, I feel less anxious. Why was I so nervous before? Will is here. Everything is going to be okay.

But we’re being hunted. I hear the thumps of his boots coming down the hall.

I open my mouth to alert Will, to tell him about the girls and the voices upstairs, who I now know are the Horsemen. They're in danger too. Before I can say anything, the footsteps stop.

We’ve been caught. I turn out of Will's hold to face the hunter.

Martin stands in the doorway in his black police uniform, gun in hand. He looks exactly as he did when I was a kid, still young. I shake my head, silently asking him to go away, to save us this pain.

He raises the gun. I shuffle to cover as much of Will as I can, pulling him behind me as Martin pulls the trigger. There’s a boom, but not a crack, as the bullet leaves the barrel.

It hits me. I know it rips my stomach and back, but I’m not hurt. I feel nothing. I don't even bleed in spite of the gapping hole.

Will’s hurt.

Will’s white shirt turns red, expanding and darkening as his knees bend and give out and he falls forward into my arms and the floor creaks as Martin moves on and Will's eyes are so green as they widen and–

My eyes slam open, lungs sucking in a sharp breath as if I hadn't been breathing before. All I see are shadows. Slowly, the room starts to take shape. The nightstand on Will's side, the art on the wall, and the doors that leads to the master en suite. My rapid heartbeat carries on as I convince myself the danger isn’t real.

I hadn’t had a nightmare the entire time we stayed at the old Victorian before giving the keys to Micah and Rory, so why now? In fact, I hardly ever thought of Martin. When I did, it wasn’t with fear. I felt sorry for him and what we lost because of his sickness. Seeing Will with his family - both of them - brought to light the potential Martin and I could have had if things had been different. 

Will breathes deeply, still asleep. One of my hands rests on his chest, near his neck. I move across the cool sheets, tucking into his side, throwing an arm over his torso, and entangled my legs with his. He shifts, wrapping an arm tight around me. Every night, I fall asleep on my side, with him curled around me, but wake up every day wrapped around him just like this. I don’t think he minds, since kissing every inch of my body he can reach is his preferred method of waking up.

He jokes about breakfast being the most important meal of the day. Stupid. God, I love him.

I can’t get the image of his dark, bloody shirt out of my head. But he’s warm and solid under me, breathing evenly, happy in his dreams. I move my head to his chest and listen to his strong heartbeat.

I need more. 

Pressing my lips against his skin, centering on one of the tattoos on his pec, I let the warmth seep in. 

It’s not enough.

I open my mouth and rake my teeth down, nipping at the end and then licking the area.

He moans, shifting around me. Waking up. I hold my breath in anticipation. His throat move as he releases a low moan, and his hands, relaxed before, now grip my hips firmly and move me up over him, setting me down right where he likes me.

“Mmm,” he rumbles, his voice dry and raspy and deep from sleep, “this is usually my job.”

I lean down to labor over his abs, working my way up. I smile at the way his stomach quakes beneath me. “Take the morning off.”

He chuckles and gives me free rein of his body, letting me go wherever I please. Eventually, the images from my nightmare fade. The warmth of his skin, his touch, his sounds, they calm me. When I'm done, I curl up, still wrapped around him as he holds me close. I can close my eyes, feeling peaceful and content.

He’s safe. We’re safe.

I've been sitting on this for a few months. I really wanted to experiment with dreams and how they make sense when we're in them, even if they don't make sense at all? Not sure if I nailed it. I was also so focused on that aspect that I wasn't sure if I brought enough of Em's voice in. I'm sure I could have taken this in a different direction and captured her more. Anyway, because of these reasons, I hesitated on posting. But it's been in the drafts and it hasn't gotten any better, so I think it's time to post regardless of my doubts. Top 3 Lists - Pokemon Scarlet

Hey, all. I figured it's about time to post another one of these! I really enjoyed Pokemon Scarlet, so I thought it would be fun to list off some of my favorites in a Top 3 post-- both pokemon and characters. The game certainly has plenty of both!

Top 3 Ancient Paradox Pokemon

First up, my favorite ancient pokemon. I feel as though these choices are pretty basic/what most people probably choose, but oh well, I can't really help they happen to be my favorites too. I would die for Koraidon, he is the bestest boy in the world and my precious son.

I've never been a huge fan of Mismagius (especially now knowing we could have had the infinitely more creepy Kurstraw/Pangshi), but I think Flutter Mane reboots the design in a wonderful way, which is surprising and refreshing. I've grown very fond of her.

To my amusement, I have the same feelings about Roaring Moon; I have always disliked Salamence's design, but Roaring Moon is a massive improvement on the design, which is so exciting to see. The colors are great, the feathers are an excellent addition, the long talons remind me of a bird of prey, and the whole thing has such a foreboding presence that normal Salamence's ugly shapes always lacked. The choice to lean into Mence's Mega design was smart, because they retained all the good of that design and discarded the rest. Plus, what a badass name.

I only just now noticed all my favorite choices here have feathers. Well, I suppose it makes sense, with our recent suspicion that many dinosaurs had feathers!

Top 3 Regional Form/New Evolutions/Convergent Species

I'm lumping all of these into the same category, since there isn't a huge number for any of those categories alone. When I first saw Toedscool out in the wild, I was deeply confused about what I was seeing, and when I poked it, it turned into a Ditto-- and somehow my brain concluded it must have been Ditto screwing up its attempt at imitating a Tentacool. 😂 But no, Toedscool is truly its own thing, as unsettling and strange as it is. I absolutely hated how it moved, it creeped me out. I've decided I like it for that reason. (Toedscruel is likewise unsettling and interesting, but it's not on my list because I hate TUBE MOUTHS argghh)

Farigiraf is definitely on my list. I have always loved Girafarig, and its evolution has been long, long overdue, so it's incredibly exciting to see it finally get the love it deserves. They did an excellent job with the evolution, too, it's fun and silly and cool all at once.

Finally, for my regional form choice, I'm definitely choosing Paldean Tauros. I know everyone is all excited about Wooper and Clodsire, but I was never a Wooper fan. (Sorry, Rika 💔) I'm just super excited that Tauros got such an awesome redesign, especially the Blaze breed. The changes are minor but so effective. Maybe I'm just a sucker for black-colored pokemon. This is like the shiny design Tauros always deserved and never had.

Top 3 New General Pokemon

This really is a tough choice to make, because Scar/Vio has a LOT of new pokemon to choose from. But I think I've finally narrowed it down to these lads. Klawf is the perfect example of a simple but elegant design. Sometimes "a big crab" is enough to be enjoyable because, well, I like crabs. What can I say, I know what I like.

Grafaiai is the very definition of "skrunkly," so there's no way I can resist putting him on the list. Aye-ayes are fascinating little freaks and it's great to have a pokemon based off them, put I enjoy the inspiration they also drew from lemurs. It's also great to have a poison pokemon taking up the traditional position of "early game normal-type rodent pokemon." Poison pokes are just cool. The association with spray paint and urban art is also really fun.

If any of you know me, you'll know I of course consider bug types to be my favorite pokemon type. But that doesn't automatically mean I'll put new bugs as my favorites. Rabsca really does deserve to be on the list, though; at least in terms of design. A dung-beetle pokemon has been long overdue, and the sacred associations with this species is lovingly referred to in this design. For those unaware, dung beetles are included in Egyptian mythology, and the beetle rolling a ball of dung was compared to their sun god rolling the sun along its path in the sky.

HMs

It's so tough to choose just three so I wanted to include a few Honorable Mentions here; I've loved Frigate birds since I was a wee lass so it's cool to see Kilowattrel; Charcadet's evolutions are badass (especially Ceruledge) and I am very fond of them despite the fact I typically don't like humanoid pokemon; and I'm very pleased that the very first Grass/Fire pokemon (finally!!) ended up really cool. (And that it ended up being a pepper, like so many of us guessed Grass/Fire would be)

Top Team Star Bosses

I'm not gonna to lie, I did not enjoy the Team Star storyline much in this game. I felt it was the weakest of the three main story threads. (I enjoyed the brief post-game storyline with Penny & Team Star more than the main part of their story, in fact) That said, these would be my favorites of the bunch. Ortega's design just looks delightful, such a snazzy dandy, and Atticus' devotion to The Bit is admirable (and tbh who doesn't love a D&D nerd?) Giacomo is forgettable and is there because I needed a third choice, lmao (sorry, didn't like the team star girls much)

Top 3 Gym Leaders

Grusha is definitely my top Gym Leader pick. His character is fascinating, especially the events the game only only hints at (it seems strongly implied he met with a nasty snowboarding accident and had to stop the sport, losing his dream and being stuck with just his gym leader job, which he seems rather bitter about). It's a shame they didn't pursue his character storyline further with one of the Academy side-stories (in the way they fleshed out Brassius more). I feel like he could have had a storyline with the nurse (Miriam), and that would have been much better then Miriam's actual side-story which felt rather randomly shoehorned in there (and fan pandering, to be entirely honest). Oh well. At any rate, I find Grusha the most interesting gym leader by far.

Larry is great. They had a clear idea in mind for his character and they executed it well. He apparently is a big hit with fans too. Good for him, he deserves it.

I chose Bassius as my third option because of his involvement in the side-storyline with him and Hassel. He's a rather forgettable character if you only know him from his gym, but his interactions with Hassel were great and fleshed him out a lot more-- made me actually care about him. Honestly I think it's great they let these two men have a strong bond with each other and Hassel even get choked up and cries about it. That's sending a very positive message about men letting themselves feel and express positive emotions! Yes, Hassel's crying is written slightly for comedy (haha look at this man cry), but I think it's also done with genuine affection (it's ok for guys to cry and love each other, even your professor does!). So that's really cool. (The exact nature of their relationship is something fans speculate on, but whether they are close friends or they're something romantic, I think it's cool regardless!)

Top 3 Elites/Champions

My bias here is going to be clear, but holy shit I love Rika and Nemona.

Rika, because . . . I mean, LOOK at her. She's hot, she's professional, but she's a total dork and a goober too. She's a sore loser but she's a total sweetheart to Poppy, and GAH, I love her so much. A lot of great details with her. She's by far my favorite Elite.

Nemona is literally my favorite rival charatcer of the entire franchise other than N. I could blather about her endlessly. Let's just say this bubbly, energetic, earnest, friendly, wonderful girl who hyperfixates on pokemon battling and sincerely wants to see you grow and thrive is perfect in every day. 🥺

Hassel is here too, lol. (In all seriousness he's great too, a wonderful mentor figure and a man of passion. Even if his haircut is a bit weird asfhjkl)

Characters who could have joined Neo-Magius

Not that long ago, people in the translation discord were talking about who else (besides the obvious and canon ones) of all the cast could have joined Neo-Magius? This stuck on my mind for a while, and I compiled a list! And I get why these are pretty unrealistic! This is just a fun thing! About who would join an actual supremacy cult! Wait is that fun

First of all, one interpretation I really like of Neo-Magius‘ (NM) whole thing is “solving human issues with supremacy”

Amane Twins: The twins were the main answer in the translation discord, and I get why, because there’s a subplot involving them that I’m pretty weirded out that it hasn’t been that talked about? Well, basically the twins’ parents and grandmother found out that they know each other. You can guess that didn’t go well at all, in fact, Tsukuyo and Tsukasa aren’t showing up lately because of that. While Tsukasa’s dad is okay with his daughters knowing each other, the grandmother put Tsukuyo under house arrest, so the two haven’t been able to see each other (the way they were found out was through Tsukuyo’s mom following her one time out of concern due to the raising conflicts between the west and east, and it seems she was in contact with the twins‘ father while doing so). I can see the two of them joining Neo-Magius to stop them from being separated over reasons that aren’t their fault (like the whole east vs west divide, their parents’ marriage failing due to being too different, the grandmother’s expectations, etc) along the lines of ‘If we are on the top, no one can separate us’. Also this is unrelated, but poor Tsukasa seems to be reaching her limit, she tells Kanagi that she understands why Kanagi wanted to destroy Kamihama in the past.

Ren: This one might be pretty surprising but I can see Ren joining NM on similar grounds to Shizuka; mainly to guide people towards goodness. One of the major themes with Ren is dealing with the ugliness in the world. Having to face the fact that even if she got rid of all Witches, evilness would still exist, is what drives her to suicide a second time (I’m pretty sure the Magia Archives mentions that Ren meeting Rika offset her from following a bad path). There‘s also her doppel’s power which erases evil from a person’s heart but ends up erasing their personality as well (the line about Ren being low-key into it is horrifying). So I can see Ren joining parallel to Shizuka.

Yuuna: So this one is very simple: had none of her character development happened, Yuuna would have definitely jumped on the supermacy bandwagon. The main reason why is to live up to the glorified image she had of Mami as a saint, something like ‘If I want to become like my noble saint, I must stand at the top’.

Sayaka: Ok, so before anybody scoffs at this, I’m just going to go right in: Sayaka’s whole dilemma about being thanked and appreciated is a one-way ticket towards being driven into NM. The Surfing Sayaka event involves the theme of telling someone about what you wished for in their sake, is it good or bad? (It has a lot of significant moments between Sayaka and Kyoko on the topic, with Kyoko being understandably on the ‘its bad’-side). If Sayaka was still balls hard into the concept of a hero of justice without resolving any of her grivances on expecting something back for her wish, I’m sure the potential for Sayaka joining NM is there.

Mikoto, Hanna, and Alina: Honestly? All three fall into the same category: they want to do shit their own way without giving a fuck about those around them. Mikoto‘s struggles with her parents are what made her go ‘You know what? Screw this!’ And use her own suggestion magic to let her imagine a more proper and well-adjusted family in her head, so wanting to rise above her parents and live in her imagination (like Himena) is what I see for Mikoto. Hanna would probably want to rise to a higher sandbox where she can start chaos as she wants, but then again she’s pretty unpredictable with what she wants. Alina I imagine would be into being above everyone just so that she can make whatever art she wants, free from anyone’s opinions (although to be fair she would make some messed-up shit). Also Alina is already somewhat of a supremacist, but again, she’s the type who’s pretty self-motivated.

Chika: So the basis here is pretty straightforward: Chika is a misanthropist, understandably so because of the problems she and her family experienced. She also seems to be struggling with preferring nature to humans while being a human herself (hell, her doppel line is “In the end, I’m just human too…”). But all this is ironic since Chika infiltrates NM alongside Sunao by pretending to join in Chapter 5.

Sakurako: Weirdly enough I can see Robot Daughter as a supremacist. My line of thinking here comes from the idea of her robotic manner of approaching things, so ideas like Magical Girl supremacy would seem to be really logical to Sakurako. Nemu would be pissed though, “ITS NOT A PHASE MOM!”

Rui: I know, the chuuni girl and joining a supremacy cult? Seems like an obvious one until you remember how nice Rui is. I can see it happening from another angle: her not wanting to be potentially judged for her chuuni persona, which in turn becomes a type of supremacy. Oh and she‘s friends with Miyuri too, their friendship is nice.

And thats it! From me at least. I made an effort to consider all the possible angles that stood out to me and seemed possible in character (So nothing like Rika or say Hinano joining because Issues TM since it would be weirdly out of character and without an existing basis like Ren). I did come up with Tart as a ‘ignore the time discrepancies’ option, but she’s way too selfless and self-sacrficing to resolve to put herself above anyone. Do share any girls or angles that I missed.

Mystic Messenger 7th Summer Event Analysis

Anyway, you're all here because you want me to talk about what I speculate is going to happen when the photo drops because it will be the 17th when the image is revealed and that means we're going to start seeing it in the early hours of the 16th over here on this side of the planet.

So there is a little bit for me to talk about but not too much because there is not too many details going on but there is enough that I can speculate this or that.

Unknown is in the center of the image so he is the focal point. I am not upset about that because like I said earlier, I didn't expect to see him on the title screen ever again apart from being a cute little chibi. There is a difference between seeing him in the stylized chibi artwork and seeing him in the flesh if that makes sense.

I am about to change my icon on Discord so fast to be Unknown that it's not even funny.

When I noticed that he was clearly holding a guitar, the first thing that came to mind was that merch photo that I shared because it seems as though it is the same purple on the guitar. It is either a very deep red or that hot purple color. I tried to color sample what I could for the surface area of the guitar and it appears to be more pink than purple but you can expect given the fact that Saeran has magenta hearts.

I do miss what he was coded with purple since that is my favorite color but I've come to love pink as my second favorite color thanks to him as a character. See, that color started to appear more and more with Jumin since Jumin's hearts are purple, but it's always interesting to think about how some merch had Unknown with purple and then Jumin with blue back in the day.

I don't think anything is different about his outfit since he appears to be wearing his tank top and jacket, the only thing that stood out to me that was even remotely different was the fact that I couldn't tell if it was a red stripe on his pants.

He has a stripe on his pants but I don't know for sure if it was used here or not. They don't always draw him with his pants showing and when they do, sometimes it can be hit or miss if they add in that little detail. His boots aren't in this photo so I don't get to make a cowboy joke, unfortunately.

The zippers in his jacket aren't always drawn, either, so that is one thing that will never be consistent when it comes to art like this.

That's really all I can tell about him from what we're shown which is why I can't really say all that much about him except for the fact that he is giving lead singer of an emo band. I can't believe we came full circle and we get to appreciate him being the one that invites you to join his emo band. I, for one, I'm ready to join his band and I already have the set list. I'm ready for it.

As someone whose favorite band is Fall Out Boy, of course, I'm ready for it.

Cheritz will sometimes label things with Ray or Unknown, but we'll all know who it is once we scroll down and see who's in the photo. That's just a thing that happens but it bothers me. Ray is not Unknown, but sometimes he's been referred to as such in merch or media, and I do think Unknown was referred to as Ray a few times in the past and it always throws me off. Names matter!

I like when they're labeled appropriately!

I do think the little Twitter event we recently had for the anniversary when they showed us GE Saeran as Unknown, it was meant to be an Easter egg to prepare us for this specific picture.

Anyway, what really threw me off about this picture when I was trying to review it was the fact that it appears to be split into three parts. It would... be easy to assume that Unknown is on the stage with V but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I speculate in this situation that the picture is cut into three parts.

V is in the audience or he's trying to get into the music festival. Rika is trying to advertise with elixir with everything she has in her arsenal. Unknown is on stage doing his best to do what his Savior told him to do. They each have their own corner to play and that's interesting to see. I don't know what I expected when I saw Mint Eye Idol Group... and I still don't know what we'll see tomorrow.

Did you guys know that Monster energy will get musicians to drink branded cans that just have water inside to better sell the product to people? Yeah, that's the only thing I could think of when I saw this... and well, now all of you are going to be aware of it for the rest of your life.

Monster is already bad enough for you, and I don't think you want to hydrate with elixir at a concert.

At the very least, if you wanted to go on a trip, you're definitely going to go on a trip if you drink enough of that.

Because of the way the image is juxtaposed, I think Rika is off center stage or in the crowd trying to sell the product. I don't know where she is but it can't be on stage with him just because of the way the image is.

Which is what led me to believe that V couldn't be on stage with him because of his posture and the poster behind him. I don't know what the composition of this photo is going to be but from what I've already seen here in this blurry promo image, I think it's going to be really visually interesting.

Another thing I noticed when I was looking over the photo was the fact that I couldn't tell what V was wearing. There's a part of me that wondered if he was trying to fit into the crowd by wearing his believer robes. But, I don't know for sure. The color looks dark enough to be that, the only thing I could think of once I had that thought was one simple question:

What if it is band merchandise for Unknown?

There's another part of me that wonders if V is trying to hand out flyers because Rika told him to. Which again leads me to wonder who designed the soda can and the flyers because it certainly wasn't Rika. When she designed something for Mint Eye it is done in a stylized manner that does not lead itself to inviting somebody to join her.

I mean, I don't think you're going to join her when you see her idea of recruiting someone and it's this:

In universe, she thinks she is a great designer but everyone around her knows the only thing that she can make is what happens when you learn how to use clip art for the first time and you go overboard. I love it. I really do. It speaks to me. I think she's great at this style but ask yourself this question, Would you join a cult if this was the only flyer for it?

If something in universe looks good design-wise it's because she made Unknown, Suit Saeran, or Ray do it. I mean, yeah, can those designs be simple? Yeah, but they get the job done. I mean, look at those photos! I feel like I'm being led to Mint Eye, THE CULT, when these photos are given to me.

hey! another rika and vanderwood enjoyer :-D! i love the semi-realistic way you draw MM characters (which is to say is an art style that is rarely ever seen in this fandom, unfortunately)! may i ask what are your thoughts on the other MM characters and/or their respective routes--or, instead, if that's alright w/ you, could you share more of your CMC Jake Park? so far, i'm interested in Bleeding Paint and I can't wait to see more of it :-)!

Anon I am kicking my legs around in my bed hugging my pillow like a schoolgirl bc this is the first ask I've gotten in this sideblog and it is literally so sweet and I'm so excited to have gotten it

Because of that you will have to endure me discussing every single topic you brought up in great detail

1. So glad to hear from another Rika and Vanderwood enjoyer. I get pretty self-conscious about liking Rika because of all the negativity, but the truth is that she's a major comfort character for me. When I realized what she meant with all of her talk about darkness after therapy one night I cried for hours LMAO it was a major milestone in my mental health journey.

And that event is actually what made me start writing bleeding paint, AND this is the part where I tell you that if you like Rika and Vanderwood, the good news is that they're the two love interests in the fic. But the bad news is that Rika and Jake's relationship is Extremely toxic. Radioactive. But the good news again is that with Vanderwood, it's the opposite.

2. Thank you for complimenting my art style :)) If my different background means I'm bringing something new to the table, then I'm ecstatic to provide.

3. My opinions on the other characters are!! Difficult to word, because until a couple months ago I hadn't played since Ray's route came out, and this year I've only replayed another story and Seven's route. I'll try my best to give you a summary, though.

Zen and Yoosung: my B plot KINGS. Where would I be without you. Adorable brotherly dynamic. A much needed wholesome break from all the angst. I would die for you.

Jaehee: her role as the Straight Man is executed extraordinarily, in my opinion, because of how often she's just tired. It's so realistic and it makes you feel for her so much. But when she's something else instead of tired, she absolutely slays, it really sticks out. AND I would like to say I think the way her voice changes when she starts fangirling about musicals is ADORABLE. I've been in love with this woman since I was 17.

Jumin: I HAVE THE MOST CONFLICTING FEELINGS ABT HIM OUT OF ANYONE ELSE. Okay stay with me for this one but I'm a hardcore anarco-communist. Which means there are multiple points in the game where, if he were in front of me, I would grab him by the neck and shake him like in that Simpsons bit. Shut up about the free market shut up about the free market. He's so privileged and his lack of empathy means he only alienates himself further and further. So on one side I feel extreme frustration and anger towards him. Then on the other, the emotional maturity of this character is unparalleled. He is, like, completely actualized. On top of Maslow's entire shit. While in Another Story, some of his dialogue has been having me awestruck. I think that IRL, Jumin and I would have the kind of dynamic where we would be able to talk until 3 AM and not realize it. So yeah man I don't know. He's on both sides of the love and hate spectrum for me at the same time.

If you asked me to list any other characters who display the level of emotional complexity his guy has going on, I'd have very few examples.

But the execution of the concept falls short for me.

How many days does the game have in total? Think about it: He's the MOST STUBBORN FRUSTRATING MAN TO DEAL WITH IN THE WHOLE WORLD for ALL but 3 of them, the 3 days at the end of his route. He's a goddamn broken record. Furthermore, his route is so focused on the backstory MC wasn't there for, that it forgets to tell you why you two should feel a bond at all.

It's hard for me to suspend my disbelief and look past all that to enjoy the potential he had.

Saeran: SE Saeran is one of my faves :)) he's not my type in his route, but his portrayal of mental illness matters a lot to me. I have talked to my therapist about Saeran.

4: IT'S JAKE TIME - GET ABSOLUTELY SILLY

Where can I start with Jake William Park. Well first off, he's a bitch. Second off, he had his bisexual awakening in a sasunaru forum post at age 12. Third off. See that picture? He has a septum gauge and, while shitfaced one night, put a silly straw in it. He then couldn't get it out, had a panic attack, and ended up in the hospital.

He was born in Canada. When he was 8, his parents got divorced and his dad moved back to Korea while he stayed. Now he's in Korea as an exchange student for his senior undergrad year.

He's a literature major. He's Extremely pretentious about art. He has a cat named Rodya (nicknamed Rascalnikov). He dabbles in writing horror, but is mainly aiming at becoming a professor.

His superiority complex is his most annoying flaw. He thinks he's so smart and his taste is the only correct one and he's a different grade of human being from most people. He can be mean about it (he bullies Yoosung).

The meanness ties into another flaw of his, which is that he thinks showing emotion is a weakness.

His first version was much goofier and careless and dressed a little bit differently. In Another Story, he becomes what I've come to refer to as Traumajake. The kidnapping and cult stuff really gets to him, he's almost killed or cleansed. And he decides that, if Rika wants a boytoy, then he will be the perfect boytoy until he can get out alive. He pretends to develop Stockholm syndrome - but he's not every worried about it, because he's FAR too smart to develop it for real. Right? Hilarity ensues.

By the time he's rescued, half of him doesn't even want to be. For the rest of the fic, he struggles to find a balance between emotion and reason.

There's a lot I'm leaving out, but this is already far too long and I doubt anyone will read it LMAO

“labrador” types, especially when there’s a love triangle with a “cat type” person and also especially when the “labrador” has a ~dark~ side/actual shit personality that they hide from their Love Interest.
