Sometimes when Alex Hirsch talk about Gravity Falls (as in the location) in the commentaries he refers to it like it is a living thing (ex. Him talking about the weirdness gravitation being because Gravity Falls “wants it”) and it makes me think what if there was some dormant beast underneath Gravity Falls and its desires from when it was once awake bleed into the part of Earth it inhabits, causing the Gravity Falls weirdness magnetism

What made Torrent believe Gengar anyways?

He didn’t believe Gengar at first, but after a while of being on the run with Calypso, he began having nagging thoughts questioning whether it was worth risking his own life in order to protect someone he hasn’t known for very long. Calypso might be his closest friend, but does he even know her? She says she doesn’t remember anything about being a human, but what if that’s a lie, and she’s just been using him this whole time? Does she even care about him?

The final nail in the coffin was Torrent realizing that Gengar’s description of how despicable the human who abandoned Gardevoir was matched the wording Calypso used when speaking about herself almost exactly.

As for the queries… Well… When you’ve got someone like loop, who has done the house over and over again, yet completely fumbles at other things… and generally seems uncomfortable with everyone… Other Ideas Begin Appearing.

That is to say: I havent *fully* thought out sus quest yet (i forget it exists half the time, to be honest, since i never did it) but it ends up being pretty central! Things which might have caused siffrin to loop back immediately might not have quite the same effect with loop, if you catch my drift…

Bad touch, though! I think about it so much anyways so i will say this! Nope!

Well. Not really, at least. Loop wouldn’t dare. Less out of respect for isa, even (not like they dont respect him. He’s isa. Duh.) but more out of “i could Never do this to someone who isn’t Mine” complications. No smooching! It’s not allowed! Not as if there isn’t any equivalent interactions that make loop feel Worse, though. Everything hurts just a little bit more when you know you can never really have it all back

yes indeed it would be tragic if your father was revealed all of a sudden to be evil and wanting to use you for furthering his evil plans.

(justice for Wangfu who doesn't even get mentioned later on in the series.)

The funny thing about putting that poison (?) on the quilt so that it would make his hand turn black after washing it so that they could capture the murderer is that.....they snuck in through the women's house to just do that. And she dies anyways. Just to capture the murderer with so much drama. (No but seriously, unless I am misreading something here.....WHAT WAS THE NEED TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT. What's more important, a dramatic reveal or two innocent lives, LLH and FDB, what's more important😭)

[SPOILERS FOR MARIA CLARA AT IBARRA EPISODE FEB. 21, 2023]

In the original novel, Simoun died completely alone. He only had Padre Florentino by his side and in the end, he only committed suicide to escape the Spanish authorities; an escape plan for a failed mission. But in Maria Clara at Ibarra, he committed suicide as an atonement for his sins as Simoun after recognizing the error of his ways. This only happens because this Simoun had a support system, which led to him dying surrounded by the people who care about him. This is arguably a better (as in less tragic) end to Simoun. But what exactly is the cause of Simoun having a “better” ending? What factor made things work out differently so that Simoun had a support system? Klay.

Because of Klay’s numerous interactions with the novel/s, Simoun was able to have a functioning support system. 

Because of Klay, Simoun grew a closer bond with Basilio 13 years ago as Crisostomo. 

Because of Klay, Elias was able to survive, leading to him being present to witness his boyfriend dear friend’s demise. 

Because of Klay, Juli was able to survive, which means Basilio is in a better mental capacity to regret joining Simoun in his dangerous plans of revenge, and chase after Isagani instead of just disappearing from the story from then on. 

HECK, I’m convinced Klay is the reason why Fidel, an OC made by the show who didnt exist in the novels at all, is dragged to all of this mess in the first place. 

Simoun died atoning for his sins surrounded by the people who care about him, instead of dying alone trying to escape the aftermath of a failed plan, BECAUSE OF KLAY. While Klay was unable to prevent the general dreariness and tragedies of the novels and other characters, she WAS able to at least provide a better ending for Simoun and by extension, the other characters close to him.

So in a way, Klay DID succeed in changing the story for the better. She DID succeed in making the novels a better place for its characters.
