Sup guys, yet another rp request because Omori brain rot so here's some info:

- I'm not looking for anything in particular, so I'm open for rping stuff that just revolves around canon or AUs! I'm happy to brainstorm ideas to come up with a good plot!

- That being said... I like rps that have plots, ones that are just like, winging it or "let's put two characters in a room together" don't really sit well with me cause I like to know what to do next. I can do them, but I might get uninterested easily. Even if the plot just starts as an idea and then we build off of that as we go along is better than nothing!

- I tend to write a lot, especially if it's an rp with a deep plot, but on average I at least write 2 or 3 paragraphs. You don't have to match this length, but it's encouraged greatly!!

- I am able to write multiple characters! 3 is probably my max though...

- PLEASE do not ask me to rp NSFW (sexual), I will not be rping that way. Things like violence, gore, blood, and dark topics (depression, anxiety, etc) is fine, as this is Omori. But sexual weird stuff is where I cross the line with anything like this. No thank you.

Hi! No there isn't any masterpost yet since this AU is really hard to make as I am having troubles making the lore and scenario. It is aaaaa work in progress! (so many rewrites. Help me.) I could give you the premise: Sunny comes back to Faraway Town after four years of isolation in the city. His father tries to mend their relationship but Sunny doesn't seem like he wants to talk to him. So yeah, that's awkward. The first night he spends at his childhood home, he finds a strange book on his bedside table. He vaguely remembers him and Basil playing with it as kids; going to their local forest to "investigate the secrets of Faraway Town". But as soon as he opens it, something strange happens -> drawn introduction This AU follows two POVs: Sunny's (with Kel, Aubrey and friends) and Basil's (with a strange one-eyed creature and other entities). The forest is basically Headspace in that AU, although right now I am trying to change its content to make it more Gravity Falls urifhojdp ♦ Here are the sprites I've made for the gang ♦ Here are their designs The more I think of this AU, the more I envision it being a video game (well, if I ever make it a reality, it will be a "fake" one. A video of a gameplay if I uh. Manage to make that). It would be a point and click mixed with an RPG! And you'd have to decypher codes and riddles to progress. The two POVs would be gamemodes! Very vague omori and tma spoilers for this rant I’m about to go on ⬇️

But genuinely though I’m thinking really hard about it-

Basil is the most obvious to me- I feel like Basil must be a flesh avatar right? Because of the floral theming? Yeah he’s a flesh gardener for sure (although one could make the argument for corruption due to his abandonment issues and need to be loved, but in that sense I feel the corruption is the fear he’d die to while the flesh is the fear he’d embrace and become an avatar for in the situation that he did)

Sunny is more complicated he doesn’t have as obvious of a match… my first thought was actually end avatar because omori’s personality works well with the whole inevitability thing end avatars have going on, plus the only end avatar I know about (Oliver what’s his name) is associated with dreams so maybe he OLIVER BANKS THAT WAS HIS NAME anyway. So maybe sunny would have a similar death-in-dreams theme? But if we’re talking dreams and sleep we gotta at least consider the dark right? Unseen beasts shrouded in shadow? That gives somthing energy in a way …

I could also pretty easily see him as a web avatar for how he crafts narratives and stories, plus! Spiders! Gotta love that aesthetic

I think Aubrey makes a pretty good hunt avatar, she’s got the right personality for it and I can imagine her being very afraid of her short temper getting the better of her and hurting someone she cares about… that’s a very hunt thing

Kel and Hero are weird because I have no idea what to do with them

Kel I feel like… stranger? The stranger is a very whimsical and positive avatar and the idea of masks and not knowing who you are is good for Kel with the whole…. Burying his emotions and dumbing down his personality to ignore his grief and please those around him… also clown kel sounds like a lot of fun and I wanna draw that

Thinking of it now I think Hero must be a lonely avatar right? But less in the way Martin is and more in the way Peter Lukas is, not an inability to connect but a willful self imposed isolation, basically what he did after Mari died but dialed up several times

Now. Mari. Mari … Mari …. Mari … The Eye? As a consequence of perfectionism she might seek knowledge to better herself and become obsessed with the idea of improving her skills through consuming more and more information… sounds pretty classically eye avatar right? The pursuit of perfection through knowledge? And I know that’s not her whole character but the thing about TMA fears is they tend to eventuate your worst characteristics and since perfectionism is Mari’s main flaw that might dictate which fear she’d fall into

Final thoughts:

Basil- Very definitely a flesh avatar, I mean. Flesh garden is RIGHT THERE you can’t not right? Also the flesh is my favorite of the 14 fears and Basil is my favorite character so naturally I would put the two together

Sunny- probably a Web avatar honestly? He does clearly feel a need for control in headspace based on how things work there, if he were given the opportunity to do that in his real life? That’s a power he could fall victim to I feel

Kel- Stranger avatar makes the most sense for him and his issues, I like the imagery of kind of… ship of Theseus-ing yourself into a wooden doll to represent changing yourself for the sake of others

Hero- lonely …. Realistically … but I WANT him to be a vast avatar because that was be very cool aesthetically, but realistically he is a Lonely avatar for sure

Mari- the Eye, would be fucked up if she did the trope of died and came back wrong like that archivist monster from that one episode? But avatar wise Mari is an Eye one

He's a part of Curly's friend group back on earth, and that obviously extends to being friends with Jimmy. Curly's another reason why he decided to work for Pony Express too-

I think SUNTAN shippers tend to get annoying since a lot comment on how “SUNFLOWER IS SO PROBLEMATIC!!!! ANYWAYS SUNTAN BETTER!!!!” especially those on tiktok. They also do tend to spread lies of SUNFLOWER being toxic and that they’re codependent (they’re not really??? I mean, you could interpret it as such, but please do realize that the signs are present in almost all BASIL ships as well. None of his interactions in-game are “good”, especially the ones with AUBREY. and SUNNY.). SUNTAN shippers also do tend to get annoying with like… stuff like the pinwheel placing. You could take that as SUNTAN proof yes but like… BASILHERO and stuff like that does also exist… And like, the dynamics are almost the same every time. It’s just sad wet depressed cat and happy dog. They also do tend to not acknowledge that KEL might be the one to forgive SUNNY and BASIL first. It might be HERO, AUBREY even. Just because KEL is the way he is, doesn’t mean he’ll forgive them first. Also like? Make KEL sad in a situation that isn’t just SUNNY killing himself. Please.

PHOTOBOMB shippers…. They’re actually pretty okay!! The only thing I dislike is when they call the BASIL in other ships “watered down” or misinterpreted for a totally wrong reason. I saw a take where one said that BASIL wasn’t concerned about SUNNY and instead was concerned about what SUNNY can do for him and put SUNNY’s needs second which isn’t the case. It really isn’t! BASIL was hallucinating in that fight. He genuinely believed SOMETHING was there. He wanted to protect him, because he truly believes that SOMETHING is there. BASIL is also scared of SUNNY leaving because he was one of the only ones who actually listened to his vents and rants enough to know almost everything about him. He’s panicking, and for a good reason. He doesn’t know if the truth will ever be revealed. The guilt eats him up alive everyday, the lies, the deception, it eats him up and leaves him paranoid. Which is why he acts the way he is in the fight. It’s his last chance to at least get the truth out, to see SUNNY again, but because of his hallucinations and delusions, the fight ended up happening.

That being said. I do also have a problem with the ones that don’t recognize that bullying is in fact abuse. I’m not calling AUBREY an abuser, but she Did do fucked up things. She was a horrible person, but she wasn’t evil. He’s not calm because he understands, he’s calm because he thinks the one at fault. He thinks he deserves it. He understands, yes, but that’s not why he’s calm. He’s calm because he genuinely thinks there’s something wrong with him, and that he’s the one who needs to adjust. Technically, what she did Is abuse, since bullying is considered abuse. It doesn’t matter if it was verbal abuse at first, it still counts as it. Verbal bullying is STILL bullying. It’s a pretty gray area when it comes to AUBREY, because I don’t want to be too harsh and call her an abuser, but yeah. She was a horrible person, not evil, but one with many mistakes and one who needs to actually atone. Words and feelings don’t matter without actions, much like how actions don’t matter much without the words. They need confirmation that you actually mean it, much like how they need confirmation you’re doing it because you’re sorry.

Also like. Most victims of bullying and/or abuse tend to feel for their abuser if they were previously close to them. Especially if they had a familial relationship or a friendship relationship. That’s what most people that ship it tend to not notice. PHOTOBOMB will take a lot of months, maybe years even to start communicating as close as they were in the past. They will have a phase where they have to heal. I’m sorry, but if you ship SUNTAN and PHOTOBOMB just because SUNFLOWER is toxic, you uh…. I don’t know. If you ship it for different reasons, I don’t mind, but that specific reason is bullshit lmao.

Why does everyone in the omori fandom act like sunny definitively had a crush on aubrey? im not against the ship, it's cute, but it's left pretty intentionally ambiguous imo?

like, okay, the evidence people have is....headspace aubrey seemingly having a crush omori, and that one flashback scene where basil asks sunny if he has a crush on aubrey and he blushes. but my takeaway from that was very much just that basil was teasing sunny. most kids would blush/be embarrassed after being asked a question like that, whether it was true or not. BUT more importantly...

omori never reciprocates headspace aubrey's crush. he never even responds or shows any interest at all. and i don't think one can soundly argue that it's omori/sunny not letting himself have nice things, because the entire point of headspace is so he can have everything he wants, at least that was the initial point.

he wants mari to be alive, so she is. when headspace basil tries to bring up mari's death, he vanishes. up until things start to go wrong in headspace, every bit of trouble is nothing more than childish make-believe, problems that exist so sunny can fix them with his friends. wish fulfillment.

so, if he definitely had a crush on aubrey....wouldn't they already be dating in headspace? wouldn't aubrey's affection and love for him come up more often?

if anything, i think it's more likely that aubrey had a crush on sunny, and he picked up on that, but never felt comfortable enough to engage with it or reciprocate. we already know that the parts of his friends' personalities that bother him are still present in headspace, even if they are minimized to create idealized versions of them in his head. so it seems likely to me that headspace aubrey having a crush on omori is being treated the same way that headspace kel being annoying is treated. it happens, but he moves on from it.

he might like the attention headspace aubrey having a crush on him gives him, the same way he might like headspace kel being annoying or dumb makes him look in comparison. but ultimately, if he wanted something to come of it, it probably would have happened, and maybe even broken down as the story progressed.

that's just my thought process, anyways. again, no hate to the ship, its super cute. but i don't think it was necessarily meant to be canon, just a possibility at best. maybe there's yet more of this game i haven't seen that fuels that fire? i made sure to get every ending, but man, this game is so jam-packed with stuff.

I adore Omori (character) a lot, he is the bestest ever. And I adore Cain Knightley very much, and Owen, and I am a caiowe/owecai shipper (they make me insane)

There's multiple ships that I like in OMORI. I like photobomb, as well as sunflower, and kel/basil (I failed you both I'm sorry I don't know your shipname), suntan, sunny/aubrey (I failed em too, I'm sorry my brain aint braining well with remembering shipnames).
