#dragon ball #piccolo #digital art #my art #wip #idek if i'll finish it honestly #i'm having a minute bc the dragon ball style while being my favorite #is so hard to replicate??#probably bc its evolved so much and it depends on what era you decide to pick it up on #early og dragon ball?? toriyama's buu saga dbz??? maybe even toyotaro's recent dragon ball super work #now there's the superhero movie which i love but 3D is on the table #idek what i'm aiming for here i just nabbed a bunch of references from different canon sources and ended up with this #and ended up blending my style with the db style #i just know piccolo's lacking cranium capacity here #i'd love to archive dragon ball style samples at some point in my life #imm sure a lot of franchises have this sort of 'problem' but dragon ball's is very much cemented into the franchise #another example's hotel transylvania whose art style becomes toonier and more rubber hosey as it keeps having sequels

Pio's designs in general are so good!#I did look up a bunch of horse references and sadly while I had high ambitions I could not replicate the bug eyes of the front facing horse #I instead encourage you all to take a moment and go look up front facing horse. @bi-the-way-drbloom mentioned stardew valley hannibal au on my other pixel art post and my brain ran with it. So here’s the murder family and their seven dogs.

They might be on the run, they might just be getting away from the stress of Baltimore/DC, who knows. Will probably works with Willy (not at all confusing). I imagine Abigail trains under Leah and explores the forest. Hannibal is of course house husband extraordinaire, occasionally offering his psychiatry skills.

as for the update schedule, it's technically not set but i do upload every like. 9 to 12 days. i'm pretty consistent w it too so i guess that's the schedule hahah

#took someone's suggestion to use a pattern because honestly i started trying to replicate the patterns on zhongli's in-game clothes #and then gave up LMAO #pretend it's more dragon-like #i know chongyun's looks ultra bland next to the others but it's hard to make details on white #when he moves the top layer shines like fresh snow #xiao and hu tao sit on like opposite sides of a dilemma #it feels so strange not to color-code xiao but like. it's still somewhat of a uniform. so uh #he does get that little teal accent on the sash #all qingce chen disciples have their little accent band #but they do have to wear the clan's colors i'm afraid so #hu tao on the other hand #i know a wangsheng ceremonial robe should be more white than black #bc yknow mourning and funerals n stuff #but like i know mihoyo gave the parlor staff a darker color scheme to fit more with the west's standards of death-related clothes #and hu tao does look super good in black so #we're going with that lmao #anyway #thank you all ily <3 <3 <3
