the thing about knowledge seeker Zuko is that his only company for the past three years have been Wan Shi Tong and his knowledge seekers. his only human interaction has come in the form of trading with the sandbenders, who treat him as some kind of spirit. this has done a number on his social skills.

it doesn't help that Wan Shi Tong simply just... knows things. so it doesn't occur to him to tell the Avatar and his companions anything about himself. like say, for example, his name. When they take to calling him 'Spirit', he doesn't even blink- most people call him some variation of that anyways.

he doesn't see any point in telling them about his amnesia. his past doesn't matter to him- why should it matter to them? just the same, there's no need to tell them about how he ended up with Wan Shi Tong. or that he's human. he's pretty sure they've figured that one out, since he's a bender and all.

(meanwhile, the Gaang has VERY divided opinions on that very subject.)

timeskip Molly concepts - probably when she's around 16-17 ish, maybe even early college? ( I'm not a big fan of the "ooh the bubbly character gets older and is now SUPER SAD" trope so this is more like... Molly is still Molly, she just gets older and faces more hardships/life stressors that come with age, and struggles to maintain the same high level of positivity/resiliency she used to have )

i have way too many ideas for how esther potentially escapes from the fade and theyre all so equally disjointed and frustratingly vague i will never be able to decide which one i actually go with

i'm like maybe 60/40 on whether evelyn would chose vivienne or cassandra as divine (leaning towards vivienne)... evelyn has a personal history with vivienne bc as the youngest in a very long line of trevelyan children she was given to the templar order as an infant and trained as a templar for years until her magic manifested and she was carted off to the circle... then she ended up becoming a knight enchanter which is how she met vivienne... but although they genuinely really like each other they are fiercely competitive (which is actually part of what they like about each other) so i'm not sure she'd want vivienne to be divine over herself... but it's impossible to chose yourself... plus i think she'd actually rather continue to lead the inquisition anyway even if she could chose herself... and i think that although she thinks she can't truly manipulate vivienne she definitely can make mutually-beneficial deals with her and predict her actions... plus she likes the idea of giving power to another clever chantry-supporting mage who knows how to play the game as well as she does... cassandra is another matter bc they also get along really well... and evelyn was raised to respect/fear seekers... and she thinks cassandra is even more trustworthy and predictable than vivienne bc she'll always do whatever she thinks is right... which can also make her hard to manage in instances where they disagree... but they don't disagree often... so i can just imagine evelyn actually staying up late in skyhold struggling really hard with this decision... leliana is not an option bc evelyn doesn't believe in fully abolishing the circles... but the choice between those other two is hard... she genuinely could go either way... but i think i will probably go with vivienne for maximum chaos (and to complete my trilogy of mages who wreak as much havoc on thedas as possible)

it took a lot of thinking to settle on knowing if i was a trans guy but what really solidified it to me was being unable to live with the thought of dying as anything but an old man. i can't imagine not having grey facial hair and old faded top surgery scars and maybe grandchildren who call me "grandpa". i just cant live with the thought of my gravestone having "daughter, wife, aunt, niece, grandmother," carved into it along with the name of a stranger. they can't ask me to die as a her. They won't kill me as a her. they wont bury me as a her. Its not fair. They can carve the wrong name into stone and dig up my bones and say "this skeleton makes a woman" but i assure you i'm going to die as a man with the name those close to my heart know me by. and i'm going to live long enough to meet him, the future version of me, because if theyre gonna try to bury me as a woman theyre gonna have to try and kill the man in me to do it. and ill cackle from my casket knowing they had to try to erase me in death because i wouldnt let them do it while i was alive. I wouldnt let them.

it's not mendatory when one is living on top of the iterators/striving towards the religion and some May choose to rather wrap their hands up, but it is pretty common to cut the fingers off up there. some would rather do That to visually signal how good religious followers they are than actually work on themselves thru worship and other religion stuff. it's like a performance for everyone else, almost

the hands stuff in the oc lore is: • five fingered - the base for "higher" beings (aka sapient creatures capable of worship stationed on the planet) • three/four fingered - animalistic/way below the worshipping sapient creatures • fingerless hands - dedication to the religion in the form of renouncing using/taking anything the world has to offer. separation from the physical world is the whole theme of the Sins so goin as far as putting the body thru smth like that fits in real well

they sometimes take off the whole upper part of the hand (so half palm gone) or even the whole thing goes off. also thinkin that maybe the predecessor to this was just cutting the tendons that make the fingies move
