Idk why, but around the time I heard about Ragnarok DLC rumors, I had a headcanon about a potential Faye + Freya DLC detailing the events of their appearance in Midgard, years before Kratos arrives in the realms.

It would start off as Faye in Jotunheim having a normal day (as normal as it gets in Jotunheim anyways) with her friends, which I would like to believe were Angrboda’s parents, Gryla and other giants. Then everything would descend into chaos after the prophecies are revealed to them. Faye, alongside Angrboda’s parents, is upset with the giants. Gryla tries to calm down the situation to no avail and Faye destroys the murals and leaves. Faye goes to midgard and encounters Freya. How this small interaction goes, I do not know. A couple of words or just looks happen and they go their seperate ways. The game would transition to Freya’s POV going back to Asgard after some diplomatic issues involving Midgard. She went there to also plan something against Odin. Right before she enters odin’s cabin, she hears mimir’s small disagreement against something but has no time to think about it since Odin immediately detains her. No one in Asgard, including Baldur, protests against her punishments. This results in Freya’s loss of her powers, queen status and her newfound permanent life in Midgard, leaving her devastated and screaming throughout. The game would end in this way.

Ive had this additional headcanon and I said it here before but to add some things; a while after Faye leaves Jotunheim, Angrboda’s parents accept their fates causing a small rift between them and Gryla. An epilogue shows that once Angrboda was born, her parents went to Midgard with a baby Angrboda to secretly meet Laufaye and baby Atreus to say their goodbyes to each other. I do not know if they put some sort of protection or other spells on atreboda, but id like to think their last meeting was to ensure they will meet again in spirit and solidify Atreboda’s life together with Atreus being Angrboda’s protector and her his comrade (we have already seen a glimpse of this and im hoping it continues). @bellaaldamas said she read a fanfic where when faye met freya, she saw that freya was to be atreus’ other mother after she died and it was a really good fic at that. I think this is such a beautiful concept. If any of you have read this and could find it pls link it to me! 🥺🥺
