Baldurs Gate 3 is so wild when you realise how vastly different the game is depending on if you choose Tav or Dark Urge
Dark Urge Playthrough: you’re the child of Bhaal, but unlike the Bhaalspawn, you are created solely by Bhaal himself. The first true child of Bhaal. The daughter of one of your father’s previous Bhaalspawn turns on you, attacks you and tries to kill you. In your dying state, she infects you with a parasite so that you’ll die an incredibly humiliating death, and become her slave.
By some miracle you end up on the same nautiloud ship as a Sharron Cleric who happens to to be carrying a gith artefact that contains Baldur himself. Baldur, who was made a mind flayer and is now calling himself the Emperor, realises there’s an incredibly powerful Bhaalspawn on the ship, and that he can use them to his advantage. The power you have will help him destroy Gortash. Of course he picks you, it makes so much sense.
On your way to Baldurs Gate you find out through an unsent letter that you used to be into Gortash. When you get to Baldurs Gate, the man you used to fuck turns out to be an absolute loser and with horror you realise he is still into you. It’s okay though, he’s very easy to kill.
You end up facing off against Orin, your niece, and kill her. Your father appears to you and offers you the chance to become his Slayer. On the high chance you turn him down, he murders you in front of your loved ones, and leaves you to rot.
Then Jergal, the actual Lord of the End of Everything, the original God of Death, who was the very being that turned you father into a God all that time ago, who’s been in your camp for weeks pretending to be this undead scribe called Withers, appears next to your corpse and brings you back to life, basically adopts you, states that he will protect you from Bhaal, and announces that as long as he lives, you will never die. You’re essentially immortal.
Tav Playthrough: you’re a random nobody that was unlucky enough to get kidnapped by Mind Flayers. The Emperor must pick one of the many idiots on the ship to be his pawn. He sees Tav and thinks “ugh, yeah this one will do”.

Haven't had a lot of time for personal art lately, but I finally finished Lilith's updated character sheet! I've been slooowly picking away at it since I posted her first character sheet ages ago >_>
See notes below (I promise there is a fanfic-related point to this stupid level of detail):
fig 1. Pre-tadpole. Her hair is naturally pale purple/white, but it becomes stained red with the blood of her victims--a sign of Bhaal's favour. A barn owl skull, which she wears as a sort of pendant, and a bronze spike on the end of her braid which can be used as an improvised weapon. Her pupils reflect pinky-red when she is under the influence of murder, and become more dilated the more she kills, signifying a kind of animalistic blood craze. fig 2. Items she kept on her person pre-tadpole, some of which were recovered from the mind flayer colony, along with most of her old armour. Incense for meditating on the Prayer for Forgiveness whenever she needs to remind herself of her purpose. A small femur from an unknown animal carved into a fountain pen on one end, and a needle sharp shiv on the other. Accompanies a handmade skin and bone-bound journal, the parchment of which is enchanted to hide any ink written on it in Lilith's blood. Only someone with her blood is able to read the hidden ink by spilling a drop of it on to the page. A verdelite ring with the inscription "our freedom", and a sending stone (wonder who has the other? 🤔) fig 3. Weapons and items she normally keeps on hand, including her longbow, Striga. An elixir of viciousness, oil of sharpness and malice. An arrow of arcane interference and an arrow of many targets. She also keeps a bloodstone in a small pouch hidden under her armour at all times. fig 4. Her post-tadpole armour, fashioned by Dammon from the salvaged pieces into something new and sturdier (she's much more vulnerable after losing her status as Chosen). Seen here are also her earrings, the only thing she still has from her childhood. The stone set in them is a type of obsidian called mother's tears. An ornate bronze mortar and pestle, and a little herb pouch with purple datura embroidered on it, gifted to her from Karlach after act 1. It's a little cutesy for her tastes, but Lilith keeps it for sentimental reasons. The threadbare book from the arcane tower, which becomes her new journal.
Feats (Pre-tadpole) These were powers granted to her by Bhaal, lost along with her status as Chosen.
Hot monster chick When channeling the urge, she becomes rabid with bloodlust the more she kills, and her eyes become completely dilated. The slayer form can start to emerge in her, however, it’s only ever partially formed (to her immense self-resentment) so she just gets really big scary eyes/teeth/jaw and talons, massive strength and agility, and the preference to walk on all fours. She also gets weird patchy feathers, and kind of looks like a scrawny undead owlbear--an endless source of torment and entertainment for Orin.
Shadow glimmer This is essentially gaseous form, the deathstalker mantle ability and umbral shroud combined into one feat. A typical pattern of attack would be to take out as many from the darkness as possible with her bow, before charging while invisible and dispatching the remainder with knives, making it look like she's transporting around, as it activates every time she makes a kill and she kills very quickly. It can also be used as an escape maneuver, but is detectable by the naked eye as a thin swirl of shadowy smoke, as well as see invisibility and other similar spells. She can still be physically injured in this state.
And, most importantly...
Theme Song!!!!

Sharran AU: The Party
In Sharran AU, there is no Tav. But all the companions are present, plus a few new ones. (I wanted to draw them all first but I'm impatient lol. They mostly look the same as in canon anyway.) Their exact classes might change as I tinker with the class structure but ultimately everyone has mostly the same abilities that they do in their default subclasses.
Note: elves have a construct called "season" that is similar to but distinct from gender. For elves in Faerûn it means changing their eye and hair colors to reflect an internal state of being that is represented with one of the four seasons, and sometimes also a time of day.
This post contains mild spoilers for later acts of BG3.
Lae'zel of K'liir
Species: githyanki
Age: 30, kind of—time doesn't really pass in the Astral Plane
Hails from: the Astral Plane
Class: psiblade slayer
Deity: Vlaakith
Summary: she always knew she would have to leave the Astral Plane in pursuit of mind flayers, but she never expected to be captured and tadpoled by one. Stuck in on an unfamiliar continent in the Material Plane, her most important goal is to be purified—but her most immediate is to manage to hold down her lunch, because in this plane she has to eat full meals. Once she is purified, she will decimate this mind flayer threat and become a knight of Vlaakith like she's always dreamed. Unfortunately, she's set herself up to succeed a reality check.
Note: githyanki are trained to be singularly focused on eliminating mind flayers, but that includes not allowing them to transform anyone into a new mind flayer. If it also involves temporary allyships, so be it.
Shadowheart Duskchild
Species: human werewolf
Age: 30
Hails from: Baldur's Gate
Class: shadow domain cleric
Deity: Shar
Summary: she has lived in the House of Grief for as long as she can remember, alongside several dozen other Sharrans. The older citizens of Baldur's Gate refer to her order as the New Sharrans, usually with a heavy dose of vitriol and wistfulness for the Old Sharrans. On the orders of Darkcloak DeVir, she was sent to retrieve the mysterious artefact, but her true mission, given to her by the Darkcloak herself in confidence, is to get the attention of the true Shar—not the deity who has been posing as Shar for the last hundred years—by becoming a Dark Justiciar. She has a few things to discover about herself along the way, including that being terrified of wolves doesn't mean she's not a werewolf???
Astarion Ancunín
Species: elf, in winter, and vampire spawn
Age: ~224
Hails from: Baldur's Gate
Class: thief rogue
Deity: none, screw them
Summary: 120 years ago, he was a magistrate in Baldur's Gate. After a particularly contentious ruling, he was beaten nearly to death by a mob of followers of Xymor, the god of justice, and "saved" by Cazador Szarr, who promised him eternal life. What he got instead was a life of servitude and a hunger for blood—literally for sustenance, and metaphorically to get back at Cazador for over a century of abuse. But even he doesn't know the full depth of Cazador's machinations and what they mean for his past and his future.
Note: elves grow body and facial hair slowly compared to humans. Starving vampire spawn don't grow it at all. So Astarion has patchwork body hair except when he's fed, though he shaves his face regardless.
Gale Dekarios
Species: human
Age: 35
Hails from: Waterdeep
Class: evocation wizard
Deity: Mystra, goddess of the Weave
Summary: he's always had a way with the Weave and an unchecked ambition that led him to become the Chosen of Mystra. Despite their closeness, Gale couldn't manage to convince her to show him the deep secrets of the Weave, so he set out to prove he was as worthy of her trust as he knew himself to be. When he found a shard of Netherese magic against her wishes, it overwhelmed him, turning him into essentially a magical time bomb and losing him Mystra's trust and his title of Chosen. Now he has the powers of a normal mortal wizard and no way to get a response from Mystra, thanks to an unwelcome insertion in the ocular region—not that she would talk to him anyway, even though he only had the best of intentions and is currently facing a literal end-of-world threat. But one way or another, he will speak with her, and he will set things straight, and he will prove himself.
Wyll Ravengard
Species: human (does not become a devil)
Age: 25
Hails from: Baldur's Gate
Class: pact of the blade warlock
Deity: Helm, god of protection and guardians, but also to a lesser extent her comrades in the Just Balance, Ilmater and Xymor
Summary: when confronted by his father, Duke Ulder Ravengard, about why he'd pacted with the devil Mizora, he literally could not answer. So his dad banished him from Baldur's Gate, leaving him to find his way on his own. He chose to try and prove that he's the same old responsible, honorable, dutiful Wyll, even though he's sure he'll never escape from this pact and no one can find out about it, lest they hate him too. But he's exhausted trying to take everything on alone, and the situation with Karlach makes him realize he's just a pawn in Mizora's quest to be Zariel's favorite. The moment he lets his facade slip a little, he realizes his traveling companions actually want to help him, and they're not afraid of impossible odds.
Note: Ulder is an interplanar contact expert in this AU and thinks he knows just how unbreakable a devil's pact is. Wyll wants to prove him wrong about that too.
Minthara Baenre
Species: House of Lolth tiefling
Age: 37
Hails from: Menzoberranzan, on the edge of the Demonweb Pits in the Underdark
Class: Oath of the Watchers paladin
Deity: Lolth/the Absolute
Summary: born into one of the religious houses of Menzoberranzan and raised in the worship of the archdevil/goddess Lolth, she would never abandon her faith, which is why she has positioned herself as a ranking acolyte of the Absolute to spy on this new cult. Unfortunately, that also meant she got tadpoled and can no longer hear the voice of Lolth in her head. She's not even sure Lolth can hear her prayers, and it's started to make her wonder what it really means to follow a deity—if it means anything at all when a psionic worm can so easily make her feel unmoored from her beloved goddess.
Note: Lolth sent her on this mission, and she wasn't the only one. Also she has a well-trained spider living between her horns.
Halsin Silverblossom
Species: bugbear
Age: 350
Hails from: the Emerald Grove, most recently; before that, Reithwin
Class: cave wilder
Deity: Juncyppo, god of nature
Summary: has led the Emerald Grove since the previous Grovetender died in the battle with Ketheric Thorm a hundred years ago. Getting thrown in jail by the newly converted Sanctuary bugbears was kind of a surprise, since they'd always been on good terms, but the whole situation gives him an excuse to indulge his wanderlust, make new friends, and help his oldest friend, Thaniel. But the further away he gets from the comforts of the Grove, the more he realizes that he's let a lot of people down over the years, and he's ready to do whatever he can to make it right.
Note: Halsin has been to Menzoberranzan on his travels, with none of the nonconsensual baggage that exists in canon. They even let him feed a spider out of his hand🥺
Karlach Cliffgate
Species: House of Zariel tiefling
Age: 29
Hails from: Baldur's Gate
Class: polearm & unarmed fighter
Deity: on-again off-again follower of Ilmater, god of sufferers, resistance, and relief
Summary: she was Lord Enver Gortash's trusted bodyguard until he sold her to the archdevil Zariel for a pile of cash and infernal cyborg experimentation. After ten years in the Hells, fighting in the Blood War against her will, she escaped on a nautiloid—which was great except for the whole getting captured and tadpoled thing. Her infernal engine's malfunctions slowed her down and let Wyll catch up to her. Once she convinces the party she means no harm, she can get back to having her life dictated by a force outside her control (currently, the tadpole), but now that she has a second chance in Faerûn, she's not going to waste it waiting on fate.
Note: Zariel wanted her dead or alive, just not running free with her one functioning infernal engine heart prototype.
Quil Heliarik
Species: silver dragonborn
Age: 23
Hails from: Tymanther
Class: college of lore love bard
Deity: loosely affiliated with the Darkfire Twins, Eilistraee and Vhaeraun, deities of song and dance
Summary: as a result of mysterious heinous acts, her clan was struck from the register and they were all banished from Tymanther. While this has cut Quil off from the area's music knowledge, she can hardly be sad about adventuring and publishing her compositions in Baldur's Gate. So far, she's mostly been traveling with Volo and getting pulled into trouble, so it's nice to have normal friends who are only just trying to stop an existential threat to the Sword Coast. As long as she makes it to Baldur's Gate in one piece, that should be fine.
Volothamp Geddarm
Species: human
Age: unclear
Hails from: unknown
Class: order of scribes wizard
Deity: Riodda, deity of knowledge and learning
Summary: his business is knowing something about everything, and everything about some things. He couples this with a general lack of tact and frequent wandering away to something new, which tends to get him captured, tied up, maligned, et cetera. But he does know a lot and is always willing to lend an ear about something he doesn't. As a result, he became fast friends with the extremely talkative Quil.
Boo
Species: giant miniature space hamster
Age: unknown
Hails from: Rashemen
Class: cutie pie
Deity: unknown
Summary: he first shows up in the Emerald Grove, where Volo is attempting to talk with him like the other animals in the area. This is not going well. But when the party ventures into the mountain pass, Boo shows up in camp and stays there, hanging out with Withers, Gale, and Wyll most of the time. He accompanies them all the way through the shadow-cursed lands and into Baldur's Gate in search of someone Jaheira calls "an old friend".
Jaheira Elerrathin
Species: elf, in autumn night
Age: 500
Hails from: most recently, Baldur's Gate
Class: wildblade (wilder + fighter)
Deity: Tymora, deity of luck
Summary: nothing ever seems to go right for her. Power-hungry Ketheric Thorm, who she killed a hundred years ago, is back and more powerful than ever, she lost her friend Minsc trying to fight off Thorm's cult, and she has to face the very real possibility that she will not make it back to her children in Baldur's Gate alive. But when a bunch of tadpoled weirdos and a miniature giant space hamster show up on her doorstep, she finds genuine hope that the tides are finally turning. They can stop the world from ending—and maybe even follow Boo's clues to a still-living Minsc. Maybe she can still make up for the time she's lost trying to destroy Ketheric Thorm for good.
Minsc of Rashemen
Species: human
Age: 50-something. plus the 80 years he spent as a statue
Hails from: Rashemen
Class: melee fighter/tracker
Deity: none in particular
Summary: a warrior of such immense strength is a great boon to the Chosen Three—he's dealt a decent blow to the organized crime groups of Baldur's Gate already, spreading discord and disconnection among them. As long as no one but his tadpole and an Ievaalist shapeshifter in the form of Jaheira whisper in his ear, he's a perfect champion. Once freed by the real Jaheira and his dear Boo, he gets caught up on everything that happened since his capture and is ready to go all in against the elder brain—he'll even change his favored enemy to ghaik, just like Lae'zel! More than anything, he wants to be included, because he knows he can help, even when he can't.
Withers
Species: no one's really sure. Bone Man?
Age: unknown
Hails from: that Jergal crypt
Class: unknown
Deity: unknown ;)
Summary: he does not leave camp with the rest of the party, but he participates in some camp activities, such as playing poker (he usually wins) and pranking Gale at lanceboard. He can sometimes be convinced to revive people who aren't members of the party.
Party dynamics in a nutshell
Lae'zel takes charge pretty early on, because she's sure she knows the way to cure them, and honestly no one else has a better idea. She adheres to the githyanki code of A) not helping the mind flayers and B) never owing anybody by taking the rest of the tadpoled party along. Wyll starts out as her right hand man, the guy who's better at convincing other people of decisions mostly made by her, but over the course of early act 1 they become co-leaders of the party, complementing each other's strengths. This is also made possible by Wyll learning to trust the party more to look out for him and not throw him under the bus as "that one devil-pacted guy". Halsin also becomes a leader/advisor in late act 1/act 2 due to his knowledge of the area and Ketheric and his personal tendency toward leadership. Shadowheart has a poor attitude but understands the importance of teamwork and will fall in line with the group's decisions as long as they don't prevent her from reaching her goals. She won't give Lae'zel the artefact though, and this causes arguments, shenanigans, and suspicion. At the outset, Astarion actively acts like everyone is out to get him, even though he is literally starving. Lae'zel is good at putting things into practical terms to get him to mostly behave and not fuck everything up. Despite complaining about most things, Gale usually doesn't challenge the party leadership, though he struggles with having to rely on other people for knowledge, solutions, and magical sustenance. He prefers to be the one giving, which he usually does in the form of making food.
Minthara has her own agenda, but the party is taking her where she needs to go, and she sees the benefit of having allies, so she picks her battles carefully. Jaheira also has her own agenda, but this aligns pretty closely with the party's existing goals, so she organizes herself accordingly. Quil is mostly just happy to be included, but she's worried about the whole tadpole thing and really wants to make sure her new friends don't die, which makes her risk averse. Minsc is the opposite: the best defense is good offense! Volo lives in his own little world and does not really consider himself bound by the party's decisions. He just needs to know where they're going so he can find them again later. And Withers is present.

Tonight at 6pm Pacific: The Direct Actors, A Baldur's Gate 3 "Adventure" pt. 20!!!
The party works their way through the border town of Rivington! We've got a hell of a lot of plot threads coming up, and some nasty little mysteries going on with the rest of the team. Let's see if Mama D can keep everyone together while also enduring a terminal illness! Come see @radiofreederry as The Green Knight, Elf paladin, @mayflowers429 and Nana as Leviathan, Dark Urge monk, @caputvulpinum as Micah Harper, Tiefling wizard, and myself as Delilah "Mama D" Harper, Halfling bard!
Character art by @bijillion, recap under the cut!
twitch_live
THE STORY SO FAR: On the way to a union rally, Delilah "Mama D" Harper and her grandson Micah were abducted and taken aboard an ilithid nautiloid, which they escaped with mysterious dancer Leviathan and the self-proclaimed "Champion of Ilmater and Paladin of Good" known only as the Green Knight. Each infected by a mind flayer tadpole, but so far immune from transforming into mind flayers themselves, The Direct Actors, as the party have come to be known, have arrived in Rivington, the gate to Baldur's Gate, and find themselves in the middle of a town with some big problems of its own...
LAST TIME: As the Direct Actors headed into Rivington, Mama D--slayer of Ketheric Thorm--and the Green Knight stopped for a moment to reflect, with the Green Knight telling Mama D about how he could still remember the city in its infancy, and at long last relayed the tale of how he became immortal. It was also revealed that he did not remember his own name or the fact that he had erased it from his companions' memories; his only memory of the previous night's events was a woman's voice. Micah, eavesdropping as usual, determined that the goddess Shar was involved and, assuming that the Green Knight had made a bargain with her, relayed this information to G-vie.
In the basement of a local aristocrat, the party discovered a plot to sabotage the donations to the refugees arriving in Baldur's Gate, and in the barn holding the donations found a crate of booby-trapped teddy bears which they disarmed in the nick of time, and set out to find the aristocrat and bring him to justice. Along the way, Micah encountered the shapeshifter Orin, disguised as a Flaming Fist intent on slaughtering the refugees. After she vanished, the party reunited with the tiefling refugees they had met in the Emerald Grove, their numbers thinned, but finally at their destination. As they continued their adventures in Rivington, the Direct Actors ran into the Gur, who implored them to slay the vampire lord Cazador, which they were already going to do anyway, and slew a newly-transformed mind flayer in a windmill.
In the depths of a well in the town center, the party found the corpses of numerous refugees, indicating that serial killer had begun to target them. Following the trail of corpses, they emerged onto the shoreline of the Chionthar. The party returned to camp, overwhelmed by the sheer volume of death they had encountered along their trek, and the party took some downtime to recover. Mama D comforted Micah, and the party welcomed the orphan Yenna into the camp. Mama D performed for the camp, and began coughing during her performance, the first signs of ill health which would begin cropping up for the rest of the day.
After P-vie awoke, Micah called a meeting with him and Mama D to discuss the Green Knight altering their memories and Shar's role in it. Leviathan encouraged Micah to stop wasting his energy and anger on the Green Knight, believing him unworthy of it. Mama D used a spell to read the Green Knight's mind, discovering a mess of confusion, doubt, and diminishing sense of self, which she reported back to Micah; meanwhile Micah admitted to Leviathan that after everything a part of him still wished to save the Green Knight from himself, and that he was growing tired of the entire adventure and all that came with it, the journey not having been anything he had expected or hoped for.
Returning to the shoreline, the party encountered a dying agent of the Stone Lord, who revealed himself to be, again, Orin in disguise. This time, a memory stirred in Leviathan, whose Dark Urge persona emerged and called Orin "sister."
Continuing along the beach, the party stumbled into a fight between the Guild and the Stone Lord gang, and ended up wiping both factions out. Exhausted, the Direct Actors returned to camp. Delilah was in even worse shape than before, and Micah attended to her medically. Sadly, it was confirmed that Mama D was now slowly dying of an illness which could not be cured, possibly as an impact of the Shadow Curse. Solemnly, she and Micah discussed her impending mortality, as well as Micah's worries that his parents were still in the city. The Green Knight also met with Mama D to discuss that mortality, which was something of a foreign concept to him, asking of her what it felt like to be dying. She expressed the regrets she had accumulated over her life, and that she was content with not being able to see the better world she had hoped to build. Mama D apologized to the Green Knight for having misjudged him in the past, and they shook on having a stronger relationship.
Leviathan and Micah spoke for a while, discussing Mama D's impending death and the Green Knight's continuing issues, as well as Micah's ability to sense impending death. As the party settled in for the night, Leviathan received a vision from his disgusting butler in which, at last, confirmed that he was Bhaalspawn, a scion of the god of murder and inheritor to his dread legacy...
What do these revelations mean for Leviathan, and will he share them with the others? What is the truth behind what the Green Knight did? Can Mama D find a cure for her condition? What other dread secrets lurk in the little town of Rivington? Find out on another exciting instalment of Baldur's Gate 3, starring the Direct Actors!

People have pointed out that maybe the Emperor did something with the companions minds, since the companions don't mention seeing Tav and Emperor like that
However I propose another theory
None of them have the guts to commentate. Frankly I don't blame them. Mind Flayers are freaky by DnD standards and I don't think any of the companions want to risk offending a mind flayer emperor OR the person whose... intimate with said emperor
Like sure Astarion may want to dry heave at the mere thought but like... he also knows that Tav could just go tattle on him to their boyfriend and then what? Who knows, none of them know, and they don't want to find out
For all they know they're one cross comment away from a tadpole being shoved into their head, they don't wanna do that, they're just gonna keep their mouths shut and side eye Tav when they aren't looking
Oh absolutely! I like to think it's a mix of that and just trying to pretend that was a bad dream. Like, if I don't say anything, I can pretend it was a freaky nightmare.
Then again, twirls my hair, the screencap was from my dark urge playthrough and girlie Slays 💅💅 (has commited multiple homicides in Slayer form) She's crazy, the fear of ending up like Gale's hand runs deep in these hoes 🤭🤭
Like it's definitely fun to find out that they never comment no matter what, but it is so funny to think even Shadowheart, her doomed yuri gf, is too scared to her confront not-Shar-approved-not-girlfriend-girlfriend about her Crazy-on-Crazy astral sex
I do really hope that they patch in reactions and stuff with the larger QoL patches. I need the option to be kinkshamed to my face so I can bully them for not being into it.

MIYUKI MASTERLIST 2
Fandomless Verse – Fallen Goddess of the Moon and the Ocean (No-ship)
In the fandomless verse, Miyuki is her world’s goddess of the moon and the seas.  Her sister is her world’s goddess of stars, fire and volcanoes.  They gave up their domains to their brother to chase a corrupted god of the sun.  Crimson thinks it is a futile effort, but Miyuki was in love with this corrupted god of the sun.  To gain the ability to travel to other worlds, Crimson and Miyuki sacrificed the ability to slide into their true forms for lengthy periods to a demon known as Davy Jones.  Their mission is simple, to deal with the corrupted god and avoid the god slayers that are hot on their trail.
Other Verses:
Fandom: Final Fantasy XIV (Multi-Ship)
One of the Chosen close to Miranda, the Warrior of Light/Darkness.  Known as Sarangerel Tergel, Sarangerel is the navigator of the sky pirate crew now turned adventurers.  She was conscripted into the Garlean Empire’s military.  They escaped with Miranda and her group traveled with her all over the globe.  Sarangerel is the group’s navigator.
Fandom: Hunter x Hunter (???) reserved for skarletchains
Part of Mira’s group, Miyuki is a hunter.  Currently, her nen ability is unknown.  More on this verse later.  She is a bubbly girl with a deep sadness underneath.
Fandom: Banana Fish (Multi-ship) reserved for whiskeysmulti
Was part of Mira’s gang briefly, Miyuki and her sister were originally part of a mercenary group growing up.  They lived in undesirable conditions until they came to America.  Miyuki comes from a yakuza family indebted to the mercenary group.  Her sister is one of the “failed” prototypes of evolved humans (see the manga, Yasha).  Miyuki is a skilled fighter and sniper.  She joined Ash’s gang when she lost to him.
Fandom: Baldur’s Gate 3 (Multi-ship?)
Thought to be dead by my Tav, Miyuki was thought to have been killed by the mind flayers.  However, Miyuki and the others did survive.  She finds Mira trying to open up to her new party absolutely hilarious.  However, keeps her distance, as Mira and her current party’s status as future mind flayers.  Miyuki is bubbly, but she enjoys a good hunt.  You’ll have to bribe her on any types on how to put up with Mira.
Fandom: Katekyo Hitman Reborn (Multi-Ship)
A high ranking officer in Mira’s group, Miyuki is a talented practitioner in Rain flames.  She is also a swordswoman and a dual wielder.  Miyuki does her best to keep the secret that she can use Sky flames as the heir of the Mochizuki clan.  It is hard to say if they wish to make an acquaintance of the Vongola or not.  Miyuki also holds a shark as a box weapon, a tiger shark.
Fandom: Honkai Star Rail (Multi-Ship)
Not much is known about Miyuki other than the fact she is likely part of the Hunt path in combat.  She is also an ice user.  She may be bubbly, but at the end of the day, she is the type that will hunt someone down to the ends of the universe.  They follow Mira and are curious about the universe.  She works with Feiyu and studies navigation.  She is a dual wielder and uses swords.  She is talented at picking up different languages.
Fandom: Obey Me! (Multi-Ship)
My protagonist oc for Obey Me!  Miyuki is from the human realm and has a group of friends she’ll miss in the human realm.  She is intended to bridge the gap between humans and nonhuman species.  However, she has a tendency to attract trouble.  She keeps a ton of secrets, and that is that her human realm friends are not all that appear to be.  Her sister’s friend, Mira, becomes worried when Miyuki states she becomes a student at Royal Academy of Devildom or R.A.D. student.  Mira warns her to remember her hosts are demons and they are certainly not people to be trifled with.

The Slayer (Ch. 1)
Hello! I started writing some scenes about my Durge character Vero, and have been excited to share them because I really love her character and the whole concept of a Durge who fears themselves. Please read and enjoy! I've got a couple chapters done, so I'll be dropping those as I clean them up!
Read on Ao3!
Summary: Vero, a lovely high elf bard with no memories prior to being abducted by mind flayers, suffers from a slew of intrusive, violent thoughts that come always at the worst of times. She now has to handle the new power that comes with the Slayer's form along with her dark urges.
Tumblr media
---
The night that Vero had been “gifted” with the form of the Slayer, she had been absolutely terrified. When her skin transformed from her elvish complexion into the rotten flesh of the massive beast, she had felt she was going to lose her mind. It was a miracle she didn’t swipe at Sceleritas Fel right then, though even if she had, he would’ve just praised her demonic behavior like the fool he was. It was a waking nightmare, one she refused to relive.
The worst part about the form is that she never wanted it. It was her reward for killing Isobel, though Isobel perished only by accident, not by Vero’s hand. An unfortunate blast of necrotic energy had struck her down in Myrkul’s lair. Vero had done nothing to earn the form, though that damned butler was likely looking for any excuse to return the curse to his master. What Vero wouldn’t give to snap that scrawny little neck, to hear all the little bones pop in her grasp… to watch the blood spill from the gremlin’s mouth as he smiled and thanked her…
No… stop that, you fool. Vero shook her head as she sat in the Elfsong for the evening, watching her companions rest around their large room that they’d taken for themselves. Her gaze fixed on Astarion as he sat on his bed, reading whatever book he had found to pass the time.
She reflected on how she hadn’t had the heart to tell Astarion, her truest confidante, about what she could become now. Vero feared every night how she may lose control and try to hurt him again, and somehow every night he reassured her that he would keep them both safe from those horrid urges of hers. “As I’ve said, I’ve got you my love. You can rest easy, I promise you.” It was that sense of trust and care that made Vero all the more hesitant to share about the Slayer’s form. Before the beast, she believed that Astarion would be quick enough to avoid any bloodthirsty lunges and be able to secure her in ropes or whatever means of restraint, just as he had that first night that the urges tried to attack him of all people. But with the Slayer? What could he do to stop that demon should it possess her and take control?
Perhaps warning him would give him a stronger chance at fleeing, though Vero couldn’t stomach the idea of him being disgusted by this new part of her. She couldn’t help but imagine that even if he had known and accepted her, if he attempted to run gods forbid something should happen, he may still be caught by the monster and ripped apart. Astarion gave her no reason to truly think that he would be repulsed by her new form, but how often does one’s lover gain the ability to transform into something even more horrid than a bhaalspawn? No, it was better this way. If she could restrain it long enough, perhaps he would never need to know. She would face Orin, face the Absolute, and after that, live a life of peace that wouldn’t require any form of killing. Yes… it was that simple, of course. What could go wrong?
Astarion looked at Vero’s pensive brow. She sat on the bed opposite his and her eyes were a million realms away. ”I hope there’s nothing troubling you, my dear,” he said to get her attention. Vero’s gaze snapped to his as her eyes returned to this reality. “No, I’m all right. There’s so many things we’re about to face, one can’t help but wonder what’s to come.” It was true. They had only arrived in the Lower City two days ago. Between fighting the cult of Bhaal, facing Cazador, retrieving the Orphic Hammer from the House of Hope, and so many other trials, there was good reason for the party to get lost in the thought of what the future held for them.
“I don’t blame you,” Astarion responded. “After all, we both have a terribly bloody family reunion waiting for us.”
“Do you think you’re ready to face yours?” Vero asked.
“Hah… I’m not sure. I do know that if I don’t, I’ll never escape Cazador , and that is worse to think about. He must know we’re coming by now. Instead of waiting for him to come after me, we’re better off taking the fight to him.”
“We will kill him, I promise you.” At these words, Vero had moved off her bed to kneel in front of Astarion and placed her hand on his leg. He placed his hand on top of hers and gave it a soft squeeze. “I know, my love. Thank you.” He put a finger under her chin to raise Vero’s lips to his in a soft, tender kiss.
Yes, this is what Vero was fighting for. No matter what may come, no matter how much she feared these urges, she would use everything in her power to keep this party safe. She would protect this family they had made, and especially the one that, since the beginning of this mess, never looked at her with an ounce of terror or disgust, but only fascination, admiration, and eventually love.

So. I beat Baldurs Gate 3. Safe to say it's the best thing I've played in years.
Spoilers under cut.
Companions were 10/10 across the board. Shadowheart and Astarion were my besties that never left my party, and I really appreciated the shot when we first entered the city and it was the three of them looking at the horizon. Wish I could have screenshot that.
Karlach is my wife, and the new ending is the best thing we have for her at the moment. I like to imagine my Paladin has the time of her life smiting demons and Devils in Avernus, ala Doom Slayer style whilst trying to find a way to help her. Also Wyll is there.
Speaking of Wyll, he served as my moral compass. I like him a lot, and it would have been a nice turn if my Paladin could convince him to become a Paladin himself. Let him smite, as a little treat.
Gale... grew on me. I was ready to throw him in a nearby lake but he charmed me. Managed to talk him down from power.
Also I would like to apologise. I know Laezel is a great character... but she died at the entrance to the mountain pass from that Githyanki squad. Did not have a means to revive. I'm so sorry.
Halsin is great, would have liked to see more of him. He kinda fell quiet in Act 3.
I went with the emperor ending. Honestly, I like the guy. He's very morally grey and is fascinating to me. Do I trust him? No, not at all. But I will tag along to see where following him leads too.
All in all, I'm going to miss Paladin Nah. My chaotic, vengeful Paladin who somehow managed to keep her Oath despite making some very questionable choices in Act Three, such as releasing 7000 spawn into the Underdark, teaming up with terrorist gnomes, teaming up with a mind flayer, slaughtering the entire House Of Grief, breaking into the House Of Hope, and so on. Also ends the game with a pet Intellect Devourer because Us is the best and I will die on this hill.

Jack of Hearts - How does your muse view their friends, both old and new?
Card Suits
((He cares them all very much :)
His old friends are people he spent a lot of time traveling with, getting to know them and coming to like them. ...For the most part. There are a couple of companions he never really liked. Often because they often antagonized other people he liked for no good reason, or in one particular case, were actively manipulating someone who was fairly naive to the ways of the world. And also happened to be someone he liked lmao
Still, he cares deeply for his old friends, and hates to think about how many of them are likely dead of old age. (Because he's optimistic enough to hope they all lived very long and fruitful lives, no matter what they chose to do.) It would be nice to reconnect with the ones who are still alive, but that's likely going to be an undertaking and a half on its own.
I'm not going to go into too much detail about individual companions because, well. There's like... I want to say 31 potential companions between the first two games? So I'm not going to bother going over his relationships with Every Single One in this post. Feel free to send asks about them, though.
His new friends he's still getting to know, but he likes them! They've all got their charms, even despite their flaws.
He likes Gale a lot! Fellow wizard who knows his stuff and was willing to set him up with a new spellbook and help him re-learn how to do magic in this day and age. You mean he doesn't need to individually memorize each spell he wants to cast in a day? Fuck yeah, that's so much easier. They've hung out and chatted about everything from magical theory to cooking, and Sayran has been a very avid listener which Gale appreciates. Sayran has no idea that Gale has developed a bit of a crush on him.
He clicked with Astarion remarkably quickly lmao. What can I say, he's always had a thing for rogues. He does recognize that Astarion is kind of duplicitous and was maybe a little bit suspicious of him at first... but after finding out he's a vampire he's actually not all that suspicious of him anymore. Like, sure, the guy's clearly trying to manipulate him, but Sayran is reasonably confident that he's not angling to betray them all. And anyway, he's traveled with a vampire before. He knows the drill.
He likes and respects Lae'zel. Her bluntness and tendency to get straight to the point is honestly a little refreshing. And her commitment to getting them all cured of this whole mind flayer infection is actually a little touching? She's the most compassionate githyanki he's ever met—which is admittedly not a very high bar to clear, but the point still stands. He trusts her with his life, which is good because she knows about the Slayer form.
He and Shadowheart get along surprisingly well. Even moreso since both of them revealed they know the others' secrets: that Shadowheart is a priestess of Shar, and that Sayran is a Bhaalspawn. Shadowheart is the only one so far who's managed to figure that out on her own. There's a certain mutual understanding between them. While Shadowheart is open with the group about her worship (kinda got dragged out into the open regardless of her attempts to hide it), she also understands Sayran's desire to keep his heritage secret and is willing to help keep it under wraps.
He had Karlach for less than a day and he instantly liked her. She's just so... fun and excitable and full of life! It's hard not to like her. Also he is reasonably certain that the only thing keeping her from hauling him around like a sack of potatoes is the fact that she would literally set him on fire.
Wyll... he likes him, for the most part. However, he has one rather big, glaring flaw: his tendency to view the world in shades of black and white, Good™️ vs Evil™️. He's a little wary of Wyll possibly turning on him (or Zia) out of a misguided desire to purge the world of evil—and what could possibly be more Evil™️ than the half-mortal child of the Lord of Murder? On the other hand, he knows Zia and is very clearly fond of her, so he can't exactly bring himself to hate the guy outright.
And speaking of Zia! She is firmly in the category of Beloved Niece, and he lowkey wants nothing more than to dote on and spoil her like he should have been doing to her whole family line damn it. There is a bit of wistfulness there, a desire to hang onto her as the only living remnant of his now-dead sister. But also he's just... curious about her! He wants to get to know her as a person, on her own merits. Because it wouldn't be fair to her or Imoen to treat her like a replacement. And hey, if he can lend her a hand in dealing with some of the awful instincts she's inherited as a Bhaalspawn, all the better.))

Platonic Stobin Month
(Prompt list by @lesbianancyy)
Part 1
1999 (My intro)
Robin and Steve were wearing fancy suits, sitting on the floor of an elevator. Steve groaned. "We're missing the wedding, because we're stuck in a stupid elevator!"
"Maybe you shouldn't have panicked and pushed every button like 100 times!"
"At least it's not the Russian Elevator, could be worse. It's crazy, if I never took that job at Scoops Ahoy, we wouldn't be here right now."
"You think you'd be sitting here with some other shmuck? Do you remember meeting me at all before Hawkins High?" Robin asked, Steve looked confused.
"I know it was never something we really talked about, but I still remember."
Alternate Meeting (Robin)
"I had just had soccer practise. The goalie Beth Wildfire said there's no way a klutz like me would ever stay on the team."
"The one who's bone came out of her knee?" Steve laughed seeing the irony.
"Yeah it was before then. The girls were all having this stupid sleepover, that I didn't even really want to go to, but I was the only one not invited. I had a crumpled dollar in my pocket, then went into Benny's Burgers for fries, but it wasn't enough."
"That sucks."
"Yeah well I was about to go home, but then you recognised me from middle school, you invited me over to sit with you and your friends." Robin smiled. "You yelled at Tommy for saying girls can't play soccer, then we went outside. I stole almost all your fries before going home."
Steve laughed. "I always wondered who fry girl was. She was a lot more interesting than my other friends. I started to question if she was even real or if I made her up."
"You never know I could be your imaginary friend, I might still be." Robin teased.
Snow (Steve)
"Speaking of imaginary, you remember the Snowmogorgon?" Steve asked.
"Yeah?" Robin laughed.
"That was crazy. The kids were playing D&D and we told them about the snow and this Demogorgon snowman. The Snowmogorgon, that was this big scary monster they had to defeat. Do you think they thought it was real?"
"I don't think so, which I don't get because the Demogorgon was real, but a snowman monster is too unrealistic. We definitely are the best monster fighters."
90s (Robin)
"Do you think Buffy The Vampire Slayer could have taken on Vecna or the Mind Flayer? A Demogorgon could be easy for her if she lit one of those stakes on fire."
"I don't know Rob." Steve replied. "Buffy's a Vampire Slayer, the closest we had to vampires was the Demobats."
"Yeah but she's fought so many other demons and monsters, not just vampires. We'll have to ask Max, it was her favourite show." Robin shrugged.
"I'm just glad, Max is over her Scream phase. I hated when she wore her Ghostface mask everywhere and called us to ask what our favourite scary movies were in that voice."
"Oh like." Robin imitated the voice "What's your favourite scary movie?"
"Never do that again." Steve laughed.
Friendship Jewellery (Steve)
Steve looked down at the rainbow bracelet he was wearing, then looked at Robin's matching bracelet.
"You think we'll have to take these off before the wedding?" Steve asked.
"No. We can't ever take these off, best friends for life. The nuggets will know."
"You're always going to call my daughters nuggets now? I did ask for it when I told you I dreamt about 6 little nuggets, 4 more to go." Steve smiled. "They were so happy making the bracelets for us."
"I never thought me and Steve Harrington would wear friendship bracelets, but I can't say no to them, they're too adorable."
Monster/Ghost Hunters (Robin)
"They do love when Auntie Robin comes over to play with them." Steve smiled. "It's not easy explaining you're here for me and not them."
"Shut up! Of course I'm there for the girls. It's fun playing Monster Hunters with them." Robin laughed. "Running around the house with pretend shot guns and molotov cocktails and blasting Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush to defeat the monster."
"I don't really like that game. Not because of what happened, but Max has played that song to death! Always." Steve starts singing in a muppet voice "Be Running up that road, be Running up that hill, be running up that building!"
"Why did Tammy Thompson sing it?" Robin laughed. "No I love the song, not just because it saved our friends life, but how much it annoys you when me and the munchkins play it."
Worms (Steve)
Steve pulls out a pack of gummy worms candy from his pocket, then starts eating them. "I just remembered I had these."
"Gummy Worms!" Robin excitedly took a handful of the gummy worms and started eating them. "Thanks Steve."
"They were Henderson's, but he's not in the elevator right now."
Scoops Ahoy (Robin)
"Do you remember my board at Scoops Ahoy, you rule, you suck? I wish I still had that. This might be a first for the you rule column." Robin laughed. "We may be stuck here, but you got us candy."
Confession (Steve)
"Robin. I have a confession to make about Scoops Ahoy." Steve said.
"What?"
"You know when I told Dustin not to lick my scooper, before you got us the map."
"Steve, I saw you lick the scooper. I just never said anything because it wasn't my scooper. I'm sure you had more free samples than Erica."
"Yeah probably." Steve laughed. "The USS Butterscotch was out of this world!"
Outfit swap (Robin)
"Do you remember when we were bored, we swapped uniforms and name tags at work?" Robin asked.
"Yeah a lot of customers didn't question why my name tag said Robin, but you got a lot of strange looks."
"You don't think I look like a Steve?"
"Definitely not. You need to be a lot cooler to pull off a name like mine."
"Hey!" Robin laughed, playfully pushing him.
Double Date (Steve)
"After the wedding. Do you want to go on a double date? Just us four." Steve asked.
"Yeah and we can eat something better than gummy worms." Robin rambled. "Not that gummy worms aren't good, but I don't think Nancy would like them or your wife either. Our ladies have fancy tastes."
"I could've gone for a Mcdonalds or KFC, but you're probably right. We'll save that for another time, but for now boothes and waiters. If you're interested?"
"Yeah it will be fun, if we ever get out of this elevator!"

Astrid vs a Return to Fort Gobbo
Back at the goblin camp, where everyone now hates them
Astarion: And how are we getting through this, if I may ask?
Astrid: I have a few contingencies. Gale?
Gale: This is where we pay attention to what you're handing me, right. Um ... Hold Person, Speak With Dead-- Have we ever used those?
Astrid: I have a necklace that lets me do so and I ... kind of haven't. Anyway, keep going.
Gale: Oh. ...Oh! Well, this will be useful!
Astrid: You're getting my drift now, yay! Now, everybody get ready for ranged.
Gale: *reads from scroll*
Sleet Storm: *covers the entire area of the gate in ice*
Astrid: *pulls out lute; singing* "So we're not / Made mind flayers / We'll become / Goblin slayers / You'll slip and you'll slide / And soon you'll have died / Walking in a winter wonderland..."
Stabnation: *ensues, mostly at range*
While exploring a bit more
Astrid: How did these guys sleep through the noise we made down there?
Gale: From the smell of them, they drank the best part of a distillery.
Astrid: ...I feel better about that, actually. At least they're anaesthetised. *stealths and starts one-shotting the sleeping bugbears and goblins with arrows, one by one*
Astarion: Aww ... look at our little assassin. I think I'm actually proud. *grins at Shadowheart* And you could see it as her giving your Lady Shar Her due...
Shadowheart: Shut. Up.
And somewhere between goblin massacres
Shadowheart: Um. Look, you were talking about friendship and trust and everything, and ... I don't remember much, but I do remember that Shar devotees saved my life when I was young and I kind of owe them forthat.
Astrid: ... *all the hugs*
Shadowheart: I am covered in bugbear.
Astrid: That's okay; we're all covered in bugbear. Astarion got overenthusiastic.
Astarion: Sometimes you hit the carotid artery as collateral damage, alright? You compromise that one, and it's quite the gusher. Call it an occupational hazard and move on, already.
Now inside the Shattered Sanctum
Astrid: Hmm. The Underdark would be down, so maybe those pits are a good place to start?
Astarion: Oh, very well. *picks lock on cage door*
Giant Spiders: Oooh, DoorDash!
Astrid: ...Yes, and we brought you nicely compliant meals of fresh-killed goblin, with a side of bugbear.
Giant Spiders: Hrm. Fair. Best tip we can give you is letting you loot the place.
Astrid: Much obliged! Oh, you haven't seen a gateway to the Underdark down there, have you?
Giant Spiders: Not so much, no.
Astrid: Okay; thanks anyway. Have a nice day!
Giant Spiders: *go to feast*
Gale; Astarion; Shadowheart: *staaaaare at Astrid*
Astrid: ...What? The goblins are already dead. What will the giant spiders do; make them deader?
Gale: I'm honestly just astounded that you can manage to talk your way out of everything.
Astrid: Ah, if only I were a tiefling, and could call myself a silver-tongued devil and still be at least half literal about it. Anyway, I guess we keep looking.
In High Priestess Gut's quarters
Ogre: You don't belong in here!
Astrid: ...High Priestess Gut has a handmaiden? Well, I guess that explains the hair--
Ogre: Wut.
Astrid: You don't expect goblins with coiffures, okay? You did a wonderful job given the size disparities! Anyway, we just want to have a quick look around; you won't even know we're--
Ogre: HEY. YOU. YOU STEAING. YOU STOP THAT NOW!
Gale: *book in hands* ...sorry. Reflex. Just can I finish this chapter--?
Ogre: *raises club* YOU GO SPLAT.
Astrid: *Vicious Mockery resonance* I LIED; HIGH PRIESTESS GUT LOOKED LIKE SHE GOT HER HAIR DONE BY A HURRICANE WITH TREACLE ON ITS FINGERS AND HER JEWELLERY CLASHED WITH HER OUTFIT! IT TAKES A SPECIAL KIND OF FUCK-UP TO CLASH BONES WITH LEATHER, BY THE WAY!
Ogre: *growls in pain and anger; turns on Astrid*
Astrid: *uses Flourish; actually knocks the ogre down*
Shadowheart: *uses Bramble Shield to Entangle ogre prone on floor*
Astrid: Okay ... that should hold her until we find what we're looking for and--
Astarion: *FEEDS*
Astrid: ...What is it with you and helpless women?!?
Astarion: You were in no way 'helpless', and anyway, I don't know what's to hunt in the Underdark so I'm getting a feed in now.
Ogre: *breaks free from Entangle through sheer aggravation*
Astrid: Ooooooor we kill the now very angry ogre so we don't have to worry about her, and then we have a long talk about you all stepping on my cue lines.
Gale: Sorry...
Astarion: Oh, fine.
Astrid: Oh, not you, Shadowheart; you did great.
Shadowheart: *littlesmile*
Astarion: You really had better get a move on before you lose the cinnamon roll, you know.
Gale: Shut. UP.
Astarion: Or were you only cosying up to our bard to make your ex jealous?
Gale: ...............IGNIS!
Astarion: *reflexively ducks*
Fire Bolt: *was thankfully aimed at the ogre, who is now very, very dead*
Astarion: ...I suppose thanks are in order for you not aiming that at me.
Gale: I would never. Not when you're standing that close to a bookshelf, anyway.
Astarion:*eyeroll* Thanks.
And, after a lot of looting
Shadowheart: Looks like we have to move these panels on the floor into the right positions. Didn't that note we saw on the ritual table outside say something about--?
Astrid: Or we could pull that lever, at least after we do something about it being locked in place.
Astarion: *produces lockpicking tools* Anything to avoid running around the floor like idiots for the next half-hour.
Door: *opens onto some glowy fungi and a very long ladder*
Astrid: Okay ... one for you and one for you and one for you and one for me.
Gale: What are-- Wait, you made Potions of Feather Fall?
Astrid: I still don't have the spell, and given how long this ladder is, we'll have plenty of time to chug those during any fall that would kill us. And if we don't need them, well, maybe they'll come in handy later. Come on! Let's see what wonders the Underdark has for us!
Astarion: She is unbearably cheerful.
Astrid: If it'll appeal to you at all, did you ever wonder what drow blood tastes like?
Astarion: If it's anything like their worship, I assume deep dark shadows and other people's pain, with a touch of venom for kick. ...That sounds remarkably appealing and your powers of persuasion are frustratingly good. All right, let's go.

Lavender Wishes | Robin Buckley x reader
summary: your first sleep over with your girlfriend, robin <3
content: fluff, mentions of eating, swearing, brief mention of the upside down, no pronouns directed towards reader, no use of y/n, pet names
word count: [1.5k]
“Oh, I want m&ms too! And don’t forget the popcorn!”
“It’s gonna be hard to forget anything, robs, since you want the whole store” you joke as she rambles over the phone about all the snacks she wants.
“Not the whole store. Maybe half”
“Alright, but you’re gonna owe me a lot of kisses tonight” you bargain, knowing she’s already planning on doing that.
“Yeah, I can do that. Now hurry up and get to the store so I can hold up my end of the deal soon”
You say your goodbyes and hang up the phone and quickly head to the store. Tonight was the first night you’re staying with Robin since you started dating. The relationship was fairly new, but it’s felt like you’ve been together for years. Everything felt so natural with her and you weren’t even nervous about tonight.
Okay… the nervous part was kind of a lie. Of course Robin makes you feel comfortable, but anyone would feel at least a little bit nervous about staying the night with their partner for the first time.
-
After a trip to the supermarket and way too many snacks for one night, you finally arrive at Robin’s house.
You take a minute and give yourself a pep talk before walking up and knocking on her door.
“Oh my god, it’s about time! I almost died of boredom” Robin throws her arms around you and you try to hug her back as best as you can with your hands full.
She grabs some of the bags and drags you into the house, leading you into the kitchen to put all the snacks on the counter.
“I’ve been here for three whole minutes and still haven’t gotten a kiss. What are you gonna do about that, Buckley”
She smirks at you and cradles your face in her hands before leaning into you. You can’t help the smile that forms on your face and the giggle that escapes you as she kisses your lips.
“I’ve been waiting on that all day and now you’re laughing at me?” she says with the biggest smile on her face "Don't make me revoke your all access pass to these” she points to her lips and makes you laugh even harder. She’s 110% joking and you know that because she always claims that she’d probably die if she never got to kiss you again.
“Lemme make it up to you”
Five, ten, fifteen minutes pass as you kiss her in the kitchen, barely coming up for air unless it’s absolutely necessary.
“Wow. Now I know what that song by Berlin was talking about” She says when she pulls away from you and you look at her, puzzled.
“That one song from Top Gun. Take my breath away” She clarifies and you chuckle.
“You’re so cheesy. Also, remind Harrington he’s not allowed to pick that movie again next time for movie night”
“But that would break his heart… so yeah I’ll do it and speaking of movies, I got about a thousand of them so go pick one out and I’ll make the popcorn.” she gives you a peck and you head to the living room.
Robin really wasn’t kidding about her getting a thousand movies because there’s a stack of them about a mile high on the coffee table. You decide to go with a horror, knowing she’ll have to cuddle up to you for protection.
Your girlfriend has fought against monsters from a weird, alternate dimension, but she draws the line at a guy with chainsaw.
“What are we watchin’ first?” She asks with a big bowl of popcorn and your favorite candy in her hands.
“Texas chainsaw!” you answer, excitedly and she groans. “I knew you’d do this to me. Next time I’m only getting movies that I like and don’t give me nightmares”
“Didn’t you fight evil Russians and that mind slayer thing?”
“Mind flayer and I’d take either of those things over some weirdo who harvests peoples skin”
“Pleeeeaasse, baby, for me?” you give her your best pout and puppy dog eyes and she gives in within two seconds. “Fine, but don’t expect that to work every time” she points her finger at you. “you know you can never say no to me” she doesn’t deny it.
_
It’s not even ten minutes into the movie before Robin is laying on top of you with her face hidden in your neck. Your hand rests on top of her head and you play with her hair to comfort her.
“Do you want me to change the movie, robs?”
“No, ‘cause then you’d have to get up” she whines and you huff out a laugh. “I have to get up anyway because I have to pee”
She looks up at you and furrows her brow. “And leave me alone? I told you not to drink your soda that fast!”
“You’ll be fine. I’ll pause the movie and the door is locked.”
“A locked door isn’t going to stop a chainsaw! They are literally made to chop wood and take a wild guess what my front door is made of!”
God, you love her so much. You know it’s crazy to even think that this early into the relationship, but you were friends long before you started dating. Plus, it’s Robin. You’d be crazy not to be in love with her.
When she finally gets up to let you move, she dramatically throws herself back on the couch with a loud huff. You lovingly roll your eyes and pause the movie before going to the bathroom.
“When you’re done can you bring me some more candy?” she yells and you already know she’s going to be like a toddler on a sugar high.
You come back to the living room with m&ms in hand and Robin is pretending to be dead on the couch. “Oh no, she’s dead! Guess I have to eat these m&m’s all by myself”
She opens one eye to look at you “False alarm, I guess. Don’t worry I’ll help you eat those”
You toss the m&ms at her and go to change the movie. “Actually, I’m kinda tired. Wanna go to bed?’’ she suggests. “Robin, it’s 9 p.m.” you deadpan.
“Okay, bedtime police. I wanna change into pjs and cuddle in my bed”
“Fine, but only if you bring the candy with you”
She jumps up, grabs the candy and practically sprints towards her bedroom. You grab your bag and get ready for bed in the bathroom.
When you enter Robin’s room, she’s changed into only a sports bra and sweats. Your gaze can’t help but linger.
“Wow, perv! You’re just as bad as Steve” she jokes and you get into bed to snuggle up to her.
“I can’t help it. They’re hypnotizing” you say, referring to her boobs and she snorts.
“So, I was, um, thinking about how it’s only friday and we both have the weekend off, so maybe you could stay tomorrow night too? Of course, you don’t have to or anything I just thought that it might be-”
“I’d love to stay all weekend and conveniently enough, I brought plenty of clothes for the whole weekend” you say before she finishes her sentence.
“I knew you would. just can’t get enough of me”
you start to drift asleep as she rubs your back, but all of the sudden she gets a burst of energy.
“babe, i had too much sugar. Let’s do something fun!”
“I had a feeling this would happen. Alright, what do ya wanna do?”
“Let me paint your nails! I promise I won’t mess it up this time ”
Every time you’ve let Robin paint your nails, she’s made an absolute mess. There was one time she spilled a bottle on the carpet because she was flailing her arms around while telling a story.
“Okay, I’m in. show me what ya got”
Robin displays ten different nail polish colors and goes into detail about what she likes about each one. it’s the cutest thing you’ve ever seen.
“And this one I think would really make your eyes pop. you always look so good in this color”
“What’s the name of the color?”
“Lavender wishes. Cute, right?”
“Adorable” you hold your hand out to her and she starts her masterpiece. Her concentrated face is so fucking cute you can’t help smiling. Usually, Robin is such a chatterbox, but she’s too focused on doing this perfectly that she hasn’t said a word.
“All done. Do you like it?” she asks when she finishes
“I love it. Thank you, baby”
Robin gently blows on your fingertips until they are dry. When she’s done, she kisses both of your hands and helps you up off of the floor.
“That was some tedious work. Wanna go to sleep?” she asks and you nod. You wrap your arms around each other and tangle yourselves together under the blanket.
Both of you end up staying awake until the hours of the night when it feels like the rest of the world is asleep. You talk about anything, nothing, and everything in between.
It’s the best Friday night you’ve ever had.

DISMALIA HUNTS ~ The Procession to the Stronghold of Trulla
Tumblr media
The scorching summer sun is hammered down into the horizon dusk, fading light through the purple curtains of the night. By Dusk, the Glory Seeker Praetoria shall be in chains. The Wild Hunter Hell Knight will lead the way to the Citadel of Trulla, where the surviving Grotesques of Samiginus's Legion are hiding. That mad huntress insisted that taken her there willingly will be their demise. Bosco the Bloody Butcher & Donna the Huntress Baroness stealthily follow the procession of Praetoria Gloriosa, the slaughterer of the Grotesque Tyrant Samiginus where the Rokyu Butcher Bosco and the Zathán warrior Praetoria fought it at the edge of Death Canyon. Casting its mutilating, roaring body dow the cliffs. The death could never be confirmed, but the armies of Chimera Riding Grotesques that accompanied him fled once witnessing the fall of their leader. After the Passional Skirmish at Desolation Road, the Tyrant Samiginus was presumed slain at Death Canyon, yet his army fled to the Citadel of Trulla. The only way in? Become a tribute, seek honorable combat with the remaining leader. The second in command of Samiginus’s Proto-Legion Wild Hunt, Gorus Iglesha; the Black Manticore, took control of their hordes riding back to Trulla through the blowing of war horns. An unexpected alliance between the Rokyu Baroness Donna, the Bloody Butcher, Flayer of Fiends Bosco and the Head Hunting, Glory Seeker Zathán Berserker Praetoria plot a secret mission to slay the last leader of this Wild Hunt, reclaim the lost citadel of Trulla with all of its legendary weapons and resources and slay the last remaining threat of the Chimera Riders in the form of the great Black Manticore, who will only open its fortified gates to the slayer of Samiginus with a death wish. That, being Praetoria, as she suggested. Across the Crooked Woods there are many hidden camps, where defense walls are positioned to repel any, wether be demon or man. Praetoria allowed herself to be captured by explicitly taunting the Hell Knight as the slayer of their old leader, so she could be taken personally to its throne just to be crushed in the most personal way. With four Golden Bile Cholera Elixir pills grafted over her molars, she will bite on one for each frontier as they approach the citadel. With the rush of berserker strength and painless fury, she receives enough attention to allow the two Hunters Bosco and Donna to sneak past their sentinels and finally infiltrate the bastion. ... Art by Andre Díaz (Grimonomicon): https://linktr.ee/grimonomicon A the sequence of new Demon Hunts unfold in Dismalia; we shall meet dreadful foes with disturbing intellect and charisma. Our Dismal Demon Hunters shall confront their greatest challenges yet on this second volume!

Shadowheart was not aware of Karlach's backstory - besides the whole Avernus deal. They had steadily gotten close to one another, but Karlach seemed more quid-pro-quo, and with having no memories, Shadowheart didn't have much to give. Karlach's eyes cast down towards her parents spoke leagues of her own turmoil... But she said nothing more. All she could do was lay her hand against Karlach's chest, and offer silent comfort.
But it wasn't meant to last. This brief respite ended far too soon, as the beginning of the end swelled into effect.
In the time beneath the crown, the elder brain evolved into the nether brain, and that made their goal much harder. They pursued Orin, slaughtering the slayer, and retrieved her Netherstone finally. All three stones in hand, the unstable party made their way down to the depths of the City, into vast caverns and building tension. Sulfurous and rigid, nerves of their teammates edged and sharpened... Their alliance was unsteady. But Shadowheart knew they needed them for this.
It was a siege that the Sword Coast would never forget. Mind Flayers, goblins, cultists - a worst nightmare come true. A violent tangle of red dragons and nautiloids dog-fighting through darkened skies above, while the city was razed and the apocalypse began.
Too many had fallen in the efforts of stopping the brain, friends, companions - pawns, in the end. But they forced the Emperor through the lines, and into the maw of Hell. Dominion over the brain was finally achieved... And just in time. Stones, crown, everything they needed - and Shadowheart nearly gave the command for it to die. But she stopped... And turned to Karlach. Ignoring the angered yells of companions, passing the crown to the tiefling. This was a gamble in trust - one she had to take. This would either begin a new, fruitful life for her, where she could call the shots and make the Sharrans and Selûnites pay... Or it would end her life altogether. It was a risk she was willing to take.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In that moment, it was Karlach's strength that helped her to stand on her feet. She did not feel the empowerment of Shar - Hells, she didn't even feel the empowerment of Selûne. She didn't ask for the moon witch's pity. She wouldn't take pity. Her eyes linger on the corpses strewn out before her for a beat longer - at their lifeless forms. At the people she didn't even know - and yet the pain of their deaths stung deep. Like a rot from the inside out, festering and clawing and thick with a putred stench. It was a pain she hadn't felt before - but she didn't have time to mourn. There was no time at all to mourn the person she once was, and the person she could never be again. It was not Shar or Selûne lending their strength - no. It was something far more palpable.
Something that could still be salvaged.
Karlach's rough thumb pad brushing against her cheekbone pulls her attention up, towards the menacing and injured tiefling standing at her side, drying away the trail where tears had manifested. To anyone else, standing on the outside with a beat of morals, they would have seen this display and realized that it was a fall from grace. To climb up through the rings of redemption, only to trip and tumble back down into the fiery pits of failure. Of darkness.
But Shadowheart saw no such thing. This was an opportunity - to embrace control, like she never had before. Karlach was offering this unholy ascension, through a means most diabolical. To get what they both wanted. She could use the Moon Maiden's strength just a little longer - and when they seize control of it all, that was when she could finally exact her revenge.
The only way to ensure what happened to her would never happen to anyone else. For her sake, and for that of Karlach. Her... Partner. Partner, in her rebirth.
❝ the seeds of faux trust have been planted - what with our refusal to retrieve the orphic hammer . ❞ Shadowheart recalls quietly, her breaths soft, in a way to try and wrangle her turbulent mind onto the right path. This needed her full attention - she could save her mourning for later. That time would come; but for now, she needed to act. ❝ we will use him for just long enough . to drive the brain into submission , and when the emperor is distracted , weak . . . then we will seize control . ❞ The cunning Ex-Sharran allows the words to spill her lips, knowing that the other one who could hear her at the moment was Karlach - and that was all. Here, in Shar's inner sanctum, the tadpole was silent. Even its telepathy would not cut through the smog of loss.
A slender unoccupied hand raises to slowly slide over Karlach's chest, her palm resting over the angry engine residing beneath the surface of her skin, and she releases a breath. As if the touch alone was cathartic.
❝ i ' m ready , karlach . you can carry the stones - but if you need my willpower to overcome the brain , then you can involve me . i won ' t falter - the gods will pay for what they have done to us . as will the denizens of this miserable city . ❞
